Also trending this morning, Hunter Renfro, the pro bowler from
the Carolina Panthers, was anxiously awaiting to hear if the
NFL team would be re signing him for a new contract. Unfortunately,
he left his phone with his daughters, who had no
problem muting more than ten phone calls from the team.
Speaker 5 (02:22):
And my daughter's running the car like I was right
outside the car. I'll just leave him in there. But
they I guess. I had like ten minute phone calls
from dand my agent and they're all just ignored. My
daughter's watching Blue Ears. So got back in the car
and had that conversation. I guess, oh, I've been on Thursday. Maybe, Yeah.

Speaker 4 (03:19):
Just over twenty games left and the final month of
the regular season from Major League Baseball, and I thought
I would update everyone on the standings race because our
Detroit Tigers, which have had their highs and lows the
last month and a half, still have the biggest lead
of anyone when it comes to a division lead, with
second place Kansas City, they're ten games in front, they're
ten and a half in front of Cleveland, and they
(03:41):
basically have twenty one games left now, and it can
vary between twenty one and twenty three. But Toronto is
your leader in the AL East by three and a
half over the Yankees and Boston. People might not know
that the Astros in the AL West have a four
game lead over Seattle, five and a half over Texas.
Now this doesn't take into account wild card as well
for these leagues, but National League the East, it's Philadelphia
(04:05):
five and a half in front of the New York Mets.
Basically everyone else is out of it. How about the
NL Central of the Cubbies. For Smidty and the Cubbies fans,
they're six back of Milwaukee right now, it's basically between
them and Milwaukee certainly in the mix of eighty and
sixty for a wildcard. And finally, in the NL West,
the Dodgers have just a two and a half game
lead over the Pondres seven and a half in front
of San Francisco.
Speaker 1 (04:26):
Just some of the stories we are following for you today,
