Speaker 1 (00:00):
Jonathan Savage with Fox News Radio in London, Good morning,
Thanks for doing this today.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Hello, good morning. So the Vice.

Speaker 1 (00:06):
President and Israeli Prime Minister net and Yahoo a meeting
in Jerusalem. Jd Vance says, there's a lot of work ahead.
I know we've only got about four minutes here, but
can you outline some of the reasons why jd Vance
is there and that work that remains.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Yeah, he's there for a couple of reasons. I think
firstly because he wants to meet the US troops that
are monitoring the ceasefire. He did that yesterday, and I
also he wanted to talk about the ceasefire with Prime
Minister and Ness and Yahoo, how is it going, what
happened at the weekend when the Israeli soldiers were killed
and the Israeli military carried out retaliatory attacks. But on
top of that, he wants to talk about the future,

(00:47):
what happens next, how they can start rebuilding Gaza, how
they can start ensuring long term Israeli security. So, yeah,
I think it would be odd if he did went
to Israel and it didn't meet the Israeli Prime Minister
and they've had that meet today.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
President Trump doubling down on threats to Hamas if they
don't comply, where do we stand with giving back the
bodies of those hostages that are dead.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Two more bodies were returned and identified yesterday Ari Zamonovich
and Tamir Adar. That means that thirteen dead hostages remain
in Gaza. This has happened over a week now. It's
taken over a week for the return of fifteen so far.
It's obviously causing anguish and continued anger in Israel about

(01:33):
how long it's taking. Hamas has always said that it
won't happen immediately because they don't have all the hostage
bodies in their possession, and some are very hard to
reach and locate under the rubble.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
So what more than has been said about rebuilding repopulating Gaza.
Certainly a lot of work remains there.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Yeah, it does not just a lot of work, but
in the words of Vice President Vance, a lot ofenuity
as well. But he's very optimistic and he's very ambitious.
He says that the plan has to do something that
has never been done, not just for the sake of Gaza,
for the sake of Palestine. People that they give Israeli
people or for the sake of the Middle East. But

(02:16):
he thinks that if this happens as they imagine it
would happen, it would provide a model for peace agreements
all over the world. So yeah, certainly no lack of
ambition from the Trump administration at the moment.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
And next up, Secretary of State Marco Rubio is said
to visit, right.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
Yeah, that's the plan. Machel Rubio, we understand, is likely
to visit tomorrow Thursday, taking to four the number of
senior US officials to be in aged in Israel this week,
following the Vice President and envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kirshner.
I mean, it tells you that there's real motivation and

(02:52):
real desire on the part of the administration to make
sure this doesn't go off track. President Trump has put
his name and his face to this deal very publicly.
He wants it to work, and he sent his closest
aids to try and make sure that nothing goes wrong.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
Got to give you because there was lead in with
you talking about a pretty significant thing, and that's the
King of England and the Queen Consort meeting with the Pope.
You were on that story in the news at the
top of the hour, talk to us a little bit
about something that hasn't happened, as you said, since the
sixteen hundreds.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
Yeah, it's really interesting because anyone who knows the English
history and if you'll be forgiven if you don't. Henry
the eighth wanted to get divorced or have his marriage
and nulled, and he wanted to remarry. The Catholic Church
wouldn't let him, so he started his own church, the
Church of England, breaking away from the Catholic Church of Rome.
And since then no British or English king has prayed

(03:48):
with the Pope. That all changes with King Charles and
Queen Camilla going to the Vatican and praying with the
Pope at a service in the Sistine Chapel. Religious is
important to the king and also bringing face together as
important to king, so that's why he's doing it.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
Will there be an annulment then from the Pope on on? Nevermind,
we don't need to go there. Jonathan Savage with Fox
News Radio in London, thank you for your time today.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
Thank you
