It's at oh seven Lauren and Brett and Steve Adams
doing a Facebook live. So if you're friends with us
on Facebook. If you're not, you know, shame on. You
get with the program. We talk weekend events on Thursday Schmidty.
Where do we start?
Speaker 2 (00:20):
Well, it is very Christmas y because with just a
couple of weeks left until the big holiday, you want
to get all the magic in that you can. And
there's a really cool event at one of my favorite places,
which is the Grand Rapids Chris Kindle Market. Oh thisy
went at a little shop in there yesterday. Oh yeah, yeah,
some good stuff. So tonight is a walking food tour.
Oh wait no, I figured i'd start with this one
(00:42):
for you guys especially. This is really cool. It goes
five thirty until seven thirty. It's amazing. So they're going
to have a guide. It's going to walk you through
the Chris Kindle Market, giving you sweet treats, goodies, lots
of the christ Kindle like originals. Right, they'll have the
German food that they have available. Plus you'll get kind
of an explanation on the history of the food and
market together. It sounds really cool. Curos one night only,
(01:07):
that's only tonight.
Speaker 3 (01:08):
We're going to be down there tonight, so perfect timing.
Speaker 1 (01:11):
We have a little mixer that we're involved with with
the staff, so there you go.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
We could probably just leave that and join the Walking
Food Tour.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
Keep your eye on Kate, you never know what she
could do.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
Another big show this weekend. Yours truly will be front
and center for this one. The Jonas brothers come in
the van handle tomorrow night. That's right, Jesse McCartney is
joining them. What yep, that's right. You had girls that
age at that time. Yeah, the millennial hearts are screaming,
you guys.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
It was a big deal.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
They're also bringing their little brother who's going to be
he's on tour with them, so he's going to be
premiering some of so there's four altogether. The little guy
was just too young when they started with the Disney
channels and now he's trying to hop on the coattails.
Speaker 1 (01:59):
Keeping eye on him. If they try to buy alcohol
for him, that's not legal.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
I swear the last time they were in town, I
saw their own individual RVs because their families come with them, right, yeah,
a lots of So I'm just saying that's just I'm
sure I started rum remailing stuff, but I think they were.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
All they're all daddies now more ways than one.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
What does that mean?
Speaker 2 (02:22):
Means that there are very good at their jobs and
they have children. Okay, that is Friday night at seven
still if you tickets available, by the way, if.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
You want to join me.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
This is a really great Christmas memory I know for
so many families. Tradition, the not Cracker. Oh yeah, you've
been beautiful performance with our Grand Rapids Ballet. This is
at DeVos Performance Hall. This is your first weekend to
see this, so it officially has shows starting tomorrow next
weekend as well.
Speaker 3 (02:49):
Don't forget you're burying the lead a little bit. Not
only has he been in the night, right, Mother Ginger.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
I don't think it was much of a stretch. I
have a lot of older woman characteristics and I have
a great sense of rhythm. So there you go, Mother
Ginger Ginger.
Speaker 3 (03:11):
I've heard they've never had a better Mother Ginger.
Speaker 1 (03:14):
Thank you for corroborating stories that I've heard as well.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
Top of the heap, another really fun one, Frozen the
Musical with our Grand Rapids Civic Theater has actually extended dates.
This is the final weekend to get to see that.
I've heard such great things. Our critter barn is hosting
the Live Nativity, so if you've got animal lovers in
your family, the kids adore this. You can head out
to Zealand. A full list of dates and that goes
(03:39):
through the twenty seventh, so you can actually see that
after Christmas. Winter Wonderland at the Gilmour Car Museum is
going on this weekend as well, and then at their
Grand Rapids Public Museum. I thought this would be a
lot of fun. This is on Sunday. You can actually
meet Santa in the streets of old Grand Rapids. They're
going to have them at Purple Shiners.
Speaker 1 (03:59):
Yeah, that's the thing it used to be right there.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
Yes, I'm so sorry. I grew up in Lancing. And
finally our Grand Rapids Griffins are in town Saturday night.
It's the Red Cattle Game with our Salvation Army. Tickets
available for that.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
Holy smokes, what a weekend ahead. Thank you
