(00:00):
Oh, we love to walk onsunshine. And it has been a gorgeous
day all day today. Last nightI am seen an event for Columbus Montessori,
and they went out of their wayto make sure to show their appreciation
for educators, for teachers, forpeople who'd make such a difference in kids'
lives. And I really don't thinkand I told the crowd this, I

(00:21):
really don't think teachers. Of courseI'm married to one. I don't think
they get enough credit that they deserve. Can you imagine being a teacher in
today's world. No. I thinkabout my mom, and I think about
some of the stuff she went throughtwenty years ago and why she ultimately got
out when she did. I meanshe retired when it was exactly the year
she was supposed to retire because ofsome of the stuff that was happening then.

(00:41):
I cannot imagine. Now I haveall the respect for those that can
help kids where they are at thismoment. I also have talked to another
group of all women. They makea difference for other women, and we
brought up you because they was kindof look back at our career and you
know what we've done, and alot of people remember are you still from
TV? And they're so glad thatyou and I do this show together.

(01:03):
That's so nice. Were you talkingto today women today? Is it like
a group of women that meet ona regular meet monthly and they pick different
country clubs. This was at WorthingtonHills Country Clubs. Okay. Joyce Daddle
asked me to speak and talked toa little bit about everything and talked about
my book, Dear Mom, Anduh, it's the first time I've really
talked about Dear Mom, my booksince. Yeah, I was up to

(01:26):
Mother's Day and I want people toget it and read it because it means
more now even Yeah, you knowwhat, I made those books, one
about Mom and one about mister quarterCracks. I'm so thankful that I did
that while there were still alive andmister k is still alive. Yes,
because sometimes you think of those thingsand you write books to tribute to someone's
life after they're gone, And whatgood is that you celebrated it and enjoyed

(01:49):
it. I remember the party atDinado's for Dear Mom, and Maria Durant
came with me because we had abunch of people sign books so much we're
in. Yeah, yeah, them, she was. I have a very
distinct memory of us driving out toEaston that was at the Easton Denatos right,
Yes, yeah, very good.Yeah, that's what I was thinking.

(02:10):
I mean it is. It's agreat book. Mother's Day is right
around the corner. I'm getting allkinds of marketing pushes about that. So
if you're thinking of something special andlocal, guys, really, Dear Mom
would be a great book to pickup. Yeah, reach out to me.
I'll send you a signed copy. Also, did you feel the earthquake?
New York was talking about all thisearthquake? I thought of you because
it was right around that same time, right, so, between the National

(02:31):
Guard and needles and arms and anearthquake. I'm starting to wonder, as
a former member of the media, like, how sensational are we getting here,
folks. No, we didn't feelit. We didn't hear it.
Marcus was down getting the car wewere checking out of the hotel, and
he found out from someone else therehad been an earthquake. We were only

(02:53):
I mean, we were twenty floorsup. We stayed on the twentieth floor
of the hotel we were in.But still, no, it was fine.
I mean my phone. Christian wasfreaking out. We went to a
bookstore before we left the city,a really really cool bookstore, and so
that I'd heard about I was gettingall of these alerts because my phone was
in the zip code there could beafter shocks. Christian's freaking out. I'm

(03:14):
like, there's not going to beany after shocks. This is. This
is you have to really think aboutsometimes what you're seeing in media. That's
all I'm gonna say. Totally true. If you didn't watch any news or
listen to it, think of howlight your life would be, just happy,
happy. I mean, you know, I like to be informed a

(03:35):
bit, but you have to beinformed. But but if it's a little
sensational and get their TV sets watchingevery single minute of the day, you
can't live like that, and youcan't. I hate to say this.
Am I really going to say this? I am at this moment in media,
you can't always believe everything you hearunless you hear it from me at
noon on Stectrum News one but idothershout out to Validale and Londa for making

(04:01):
that anniversary celebration so special reliving ourfirst dance that we had, you know,
to Barry Manelo. We did thatall over again. It was just
need to incorporate kids at your wedding. And I'm sorry you missed it,
but you were there in spirit thoughtbecause everybody said, where's my carry?
Low? Like she texted me thismorning, I was. I literally was

(04:23):
in the Museum of ice Cream whenI texted you and I said, oh,
we're gonna miss I'm gonna miss tonight. Oh and you missed a joy
it Scottie catering by scott You youdon't go. It was just awesome.
So you know what, I hopesome awesome things happened for you this week.
Ohio University is playing Ohio State insoftball Wednesday at Buckeye Field, So

(04:43):
if you want to see a goodsoftball game, come out to it.
And then you have the eclipse tomorrow, which now you got to figure out
what you're gonna do based on whatMatt McClaren told us. Don't pull off
the side of the road and watchit. Though no, I mean it
makes so much sense that I sawthat sign. I mean I wouldn't do
it, but I'm like, oh, yeah, some people, because you're
such a rule follow er, Imight do it. You might, I
don't know. I don't want tosee it run over, so be planted

(05:03):
wherever you are. I have alsoheard shut your blinds because you protect your
dog's eyes. Oh I don't rememberall my dogs ever looking up though with
this guy. Really unless I throwa ball or something, I mean right,
and my dog's blind, so nothing'sgonna happen there. No matter what
you guys do this week, spendsome time doing what matters.
