Speaker 1 (00:00):
Everything that's happening at the funeral of Charlie Kirk and

(00:02):
do the show we've been on the year since two o'clock.
You're live at Kaufman Park in Dublin. We were part
of the Dublin pet Fair this year, which has been
going on for thirteen years. But Larry, you have been
able to monitor the funeral watching things that have been happening.
It's been NonStop people speaking, is that right?

Speaker 2 (00:18):
NonStop people speaking. The longest period they had with no
one speaking since two o'clock has been about five minutes.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
And who are some of the people who spoke?

Speaker 2 (00:26):
So his executive producer of this podcast spoke for a
lot for a lot of time and took the message
brought it home very well. He described it. He said,
you know, I never realized it, but what we've been
doing on these campus tours in the tent him talking

(00:50):
to people, we've been having a revival and that's what
There have been two or three other speakers who have
mentioned the word revival in the conversation so far. I mean,
we've heard from Pete Hegslith, We've heard from Robert Kennedy Junior.
Jade Dance is on right, now. Secretary of State was
on earlier. Chief of Staff of the White House was

(01:13):
on earlier.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
Do you think Charlie Kirk would have ever guessed that
this big of a situation, these dignitaries, that all these
unbelievably important people in our world would speak at his funeral.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
No, I don't either.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
I think that if you had asked Charlie what his
funeral would have been like, he said he would have
said something along the lines of, you know, a few
people who worked with us at Turning Point and a
few others would show up, but you know, it's just
going to be a low key deal, just family.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
To know that you touched the hearts and minds of
so many people worldwide is unbelievable. We have a phone call.
Let's go to Dick. Dick, you are on the line
with us. Thanks so much for calling in. Do you
want to talk about the funeral of Charlie Kirk.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
Do we have Dick there?

Speaker 1 (02:07):
Well, maybe we lost contact.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
We might have lost him and had to delay.

Speaker 4 (02:12):
I think, you know, it's been interesting to see comment
So I have seen some commentary this week.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
Did you see Matthew mcconaughean Fox?

Speaker 1 (02:19):
I did not do you mind Early seen on Fox
the other night, it was like.

Speaker 3 (02:23):
What can I play Matthew for you?

Speaker 5 (02:25):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (02:25):
Yeah, please do.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
When we're in the middle of the.

Speaker 5 (02:27):
Chaos, we feel like it's on us and on us only,
and how the heather and hell we gonna get out
of it. Faith being something that we can on our
own in the four am solitude with ourselves, as well
as in the masses, in the arena of millions of people.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
Faith is something the truth, that stability, that we're head.

Speaker 5 (02:48):
And heart connected with our spirit, where we can feel
stable and go and trust, trust ourselves, trust it sometimes.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
This too shall pass.

Speaker 5 (02:57):
Trust that I'm playing the longer game.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
No, I'm We're in the immortal race. This is this
is this is small.

Speaker 5 (03:03):
Stuff is inconvenience that I'm in right now and believed
in that and understanding that helps us get through a
lot of crisises. And it's not tom foolery, it's not
fullish optimism. It's it's real middle.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
I love that, you know, because it is. It feels
very hot, very heated. Temperature is up right now, and
we've explained some of that today. But when you can
lean into something, when you play the longer game, and
it's a longer game that we don't even know the
full game, and we won't in this lifetime.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
I think that makes a difference.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
Our minister last week was talking about this too shall pass,
and you can look at it in two different ways.
When something very horrible is going on in your life,
this too shall pass. But when you're on top of
the world and things are going your way, this too
shall pass. It's part of life. It's the ups, it's
the downs, and everything else in between. Never let the

(03:56):
highs get too high and the lows get too low,
and really just appreciate the people in your life and
around you. It can be gone in an instant. We
could leave here right now, get in a car accident
and gone, never see our families again. They could never
see us again. It happens all the time. So how
do you take a moment and just simply try to
appreciate life every single minute of it. We talk a

(04:20):
good game, but do we really do it.

Speaker 4 (04:22):
But I think this is a moment where we should
be thinking about it, right. I mean, it was an instant.
Too many of us saw that instant where a life
was taken away, And so this is a moment to
embrace that fact that you have to celebrate the moment
you are in, and you are some people going to
be mad? Yes, are some people behaving in ways they

(04:42):
shouldn't be Yes, But like, honestly, we should look at
it as though this is the moment where someone just
like any of us could lose our lives, and what
are we doing to live the joy and the peace and.

Speaker 3 (04:54):
The conversation that we need to have right now.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
And going across the aisle and maybe talking to your
friends who don't have the same.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
Views of you.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
You know, it's kind of easy in our family because
our whole family is right along the same lines. But then, Larry,
I look at you, and you have a daughter, and
you guys are much different with your political beliefs. Does
that feed into your moral beliefs? Is it hard to
raise someone and then see them change away from how
you want them to be, how you try to raise
them to be.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
Well, I mean, I want her, I've always wanted her
to be her own person and to have her own opinion,
to make up her own mind. So I'm extremely proud
of what she's done with that and what she's going
to be doing with her life, but at the same time,
we still have the opportunity to talk about things, and
we talk. We'll talk about current events and politics and

(05:45):
the things that are good and the things that are bad.
And as long as we can keep talking, I'm not worried.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
Well, And just because you're a liberal doesn't mean you
aren't Christian.

Speaker 4 (05:56):
And I really want to say that today because I
know so many friends who are Democrats that are good
Christian people. You could call me as a Catholic based
on what we talk about when it comes to immigrants
to different nations and caring for those who are sick
or of anything that's going on with them. You could
call that liberal right now, But it's my faith.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
I believe in taking care of people.

Speaker 4 (06:20):
So I really have to say that because so many
folks that I know are Christians well.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
And it's the thing that we've lost over the last
thirty years is the ability to just have that conversation
where we can agree to disagree.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
Because there's always the middle of the road. But when
you look at the extreme left and you look at
the extreme right, extreme their polar opposite, that's the underlying part, right,
That's what I said. I said, if you look at
the extreme left, and you look at the extreme right.
That's where there is so much uproar and so much hatred,
and it's a shame that it has to come down
to that. But they have been explosive and they have

(06:58):
been causing an upgro war and violence, and it doesn't
have to be that way, it really doesn't.

Speaker 4 (07:03):
There's a guy that we probably all know named James
Minter who's been in radio for years in Columbus.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
I don't know if he's doing it right now. What
did he go by, Larry? What was his viper? Viper?
He was Viper?

Speaker 4 (07:14):
He posted this earlier this week. He boasted Matthew twelve
twenty five. So Jesus said to them, every kingdom that
fights against itself will be destroyed. Every city or family
that is divided against itself will not stand.

Speaker 3 (07:30):
Matthew twelve twenty five.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
Viper's been an evangelistic person all his life, and which
surprised a lot of people because he spent a whole
lot of time in hard rock radio.

Speaker 3 (07:43):
But that's who he is.

Speaker 4 (07:44):
And so when we divide ourselves, we're going to face
problems in the longer game.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
Well, hopefully this funeral and all of the things that
have happened in the last week and a half will
bring people together like nine to eleven did. It was
such a difference between nine to eleven September eleventh. The
enemy was against the United States of America, so it
was easy for America to all come together. Can America
come together again? Can the world come together? In There

(08:10):
is definitely a revival and there is definitely a movement
toward Jesus, There's no doubt about it. It's been documented
since this has happened, there's been a much more of
an increase involvement now in Turning Point USA, which is
not a bad thing at all to get these college
kids to start thinking of other things than themselves.

Speaker 4 (08:31):
Critical thinking critical no matter what you're if you're questioning
or falling straight in line with it, it's critical thinking.

Speaker 3 (08:38):
And I think that's honestly what we've lost.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
Nobody should be killed for that at all. Should have
never happened. But since it happened, something good will come
of it. I do believe that in my hearts, we
got to wrap things up when we take this break.

Speaker 3 (08:49):
This is what matters. On six' TEN wtvn
