Speaker 1 (00:00):
Those cities have some cool stuff, but there's nothing like Kosai.
We have some callers first though, that we're going to
go to on this Sunday because we love to hear
from you guys.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Dick from Dayton, I take in, how goes it?

Speaker 3 (00:13):
Hey? Happy, happy protest yaya as a possible I was
on my hometown. Then, let me tell you something. I
was a Browns fan for many years. When I talked
to Boots, how can you build a stadium of eight
hundred million dollars when you'd even have the fans think

(00:33):
in Detroit, I'm telling you I'm going to root for him,
but the Bengals in Ohio State are going to be there,
right right.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
So, Dick, I have to ask you this question.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
Are you surprised, given that you grew up there, that
Cleveland is the second most stressed out city in America?

Speaker 3 (00:51):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (00:52):
Yeah, because you know I agree with you beck At.
You know, I was in college the heart breaks when
Ernest Beiner, you know, the the Browns and they haven't
had a good team since Brinnany Cothar, and they want
my cousin lives there, and they want to pay the money.
You know, I just think it's really. You know, you
could watch them on the sports bar, you know what

(01:13):
I mean?

Speaker 1 (01:13):
You know, yeah, absolutely, We're not Browns fans in my house,
so you know I'm not gonna lie.

Speaker 5 (01:18):
They have brownsbackers everywhere. People who are Browns fans. They
are all in and have been for years. They get
heartbroken every year, but they are all in.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
Maybe that's part of the stress. Maybe because.

Speaker 4 (01:31):
You know what, I want to come up and play
music for you guys.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
Okay, we like a We like a festival or a
party that we throw, Dick, so you can come and.

Speaker 5 (01:41):
And birthday next year. We're going to have you on
for Mikayla's birthday next year.

Speaker 6 (01:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:47):
God, bless you guys, and tell Mark Eli he's doing
a good job. I love you guys. You're great people.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Thank you, Dick. Have a great start to your week.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
Okay, we've got Cayden on the line now, Kate. Then
we have time to talk today. Welcome to what matters.

Speaker 7 (02:05):
Well, let me just first day, Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday, he you, Happy birthday dear Michayla, who looks
amazing by the way, Happy birthday do you.

Speaker 8 (02:17):
Okay, it's the man that miss.

Speaker 9 (02:20):
A legend himself Cadence from West Jefferson, Ohio. Well, so
you guys know, I'll call it from my little roof
home here, but I figured I pop on by because
my phone service has not been working properly. And uh,
my buddy from Herbana listens to the show, and he
was just telling me. He said, Mandy and michaela are
the two best people on six ten WTV. And he

(02:41):
and I said, you are not dagging wrong about that.

Speaker 6 (02:44):
Good sir.

Speaker 9 (02:46):
Wow.

Speaker 8 (02:47):
We like to hear stuff like that, don't we, Michayla.

Speaker 6 (02:49):
Yes, Well, let me just say this first.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
Mandy.

Speaker 9 (02:53):
First of all, congratulations to Cammy quarter Cracks on a.

Speaker 4 (02:56):
Text of a year of a career.

Speaker 9 (02:58):
And I'll tell you ever since you know, I started
watching your daughter, I don't know how to say there.
And I just said, you know what, she has grown
so much, and you know I have a ton of
respect for her and not only what she does and
how much she's made an impact. But you know, with
the whole Christian movement on OSU campus. Now I've heard
about it, but I've never caught. I try to keep trying.

(03:20):
My schedules is so damn busy, But you know it
is what it is, But I put a thought on
Facebook to you, MICHAELA maybe one day you guys could
have me up in the studio because I want to
maybe share some more farm stories with you guys, because.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
Fire stories are good stories.

Speaker 6 (03:38):
You know what.

Speaker 5 (03:38):
We may have to take you up on that. In fact,
we're going to talk a little bit about Kosai and
farm days coming up here at the beginning of August.
We do have to get to another caller, Catenan. I
thank you for your kind words about Cammy. We are
very proud of her.

Speaker 8 (03:52):
Ye have.

Speaker 5 (03:52):
What she does in the softball world's one thing, but
that's really nothing compared to how she is as a
person and how strong she is in faith. In fact,
our minister today at church was saying, there's such a
revival with the z gen Z gen Z They've seen
between what thirteen to twenty eight year olds. There seems
to be just so much more of an interest in
their faith with that group of people, and more in

(04:14):
boys than girls.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
I think you are in a place in culture where
you have to have a faith in something greater than
what you're seeing.

Speaker 5 (04:20):
And they said they were living this lifestyle like go
do whatever, you want, go live and support whatever you want.
But then they're like it's just not enough. So they're
bringing it back into God. And it's such a great
thing to see.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
Ed.

Speaker 5 (04:31):
You are calling, you know, are you also calling to
wish Mikayla happy birthday?

Speaker 6 (04:35):
Happy birthday, Mikayla, Happy thirty second birthday?

Speaker 2 (04:39):
You know what, Ed, I will take that all day long.
Thank you so much.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
Thirty two Field's really good for the don't make me
do the math, but I was gonna say for the
X amount of times, but thank you, thank you so much.
It's been a rainy one this week, and man, oh man,
we were talking about how the weather has just been
awful for the last week.

Speaker 6 (04:59):
Oh yeah, I've been trying to get some stuff done.
I've been ringing down a few times. Y' I'll be
forty this year for the twenty fifth time.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
Love it and I love it.

Speaker 8 (05:10):
Age is just a number. It's just a number.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
That's a big birthday too.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
When I think about forty times twenty five. Are you
doing anything fun for that because you should.

Speaker 6 (05:18):
Be probably not well.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
Make well. We hope you have a great birthday. When
is it coming up? Is it like closers in a
few months.

Speaker 6 (05:28):
Oh it's November, so it's a way fella.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
You got some time. Well, thank you so much for
saying happy birthday. I really appreciate it.

Speaker 6 (05:35):
Then I've got a tourist attraction for Mendy Okay laid
on us a few miles north of Indian Lakes. Off
to the right there on thirty three. There's a little
wagon there that says political bandwagon. Really, do you have
a guess of what that little wagon is?

Speaker 5 (05:56):
I do not.

Speaker 6 (05:59):
It's a manure reader.

Speaker 8 (06:00):
Oh and is this real?

Speaker 1 (06:05):
I've passed that this area so many times. So it's
on thirty three.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
Is that right?

Speaker 6 (06:11):
Like you said, it's on thirty three. Yeah, it's an
above Indian Lakes. I pass it every night at on
my drive and job. One night I stopped, they took
a picture, and I've shared it several times with quite
a few different people.

Speaker 8 (06:24):
I'm going to have to look at that. So don't
get on any political being wagon.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
Ed.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
You made us laugh. Thank you so much for calling.

Speaker 8 (06:32):
Yeah, thanks Ed. It's a good thing I forgot your birthday.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
See, yeah, very well.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
You know we do have a farm day tie in. Yeah,
Coasi is bringing the farm to the city. You know
so many kids, and I kind of get bummed out
about this. I feel let my kids kind of live
in a city bubble when I was able to go
to the farm so much when I was a kid
where I lived. But we do have so much farm
around us. So what Coasai is doing instead of having
to travel an hour out. You're going to come in

(06:58):
August sixth through tenth for Farm Days, and it looks
like they're going to have really mindy some of this
big equipment and the science behind farming from farmers, how
plants grow, where food comes from, and you'll be able
to get excited about baby chickens hatching in other farm animals.
So August sixth through tenth, you can go to Kosi
dot org and reserve your tickets. It looks like I've

(07:21):
heard about this, They've done this before.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
It's fun.

Speaker 5 (07:23):
Well, look at what a big industry farming is in
the state of Ohio and throughout the Midwest. You can't
learn enough about it because it's so much around us
and what we eat, what we wear, what we do everything.
So it's a great thing to let us know and
let our kids know more about farm life and why
we should respect it as well. Yeah, so Unofficial Galaxies

(07:44):
is still there and it'll be there until or through September.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
I think, yeah, through September first.

Speaker 8 (07:50):
September first, Okay.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
Yeah, so we have over there.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
I was, and we're going to give away some VIP
tickets to see it. I went through a Kosei After
Dark event. But it's really if you were a Star
Wars fan or no a Star Wars fan, it is
truly amazing some of the life size X Wing type
things that are there and some of the costumes. Apparently
in Ohio we have one of the original scripts at

(08:15):
a museum that we had here, one of the original
scripts written by George Lucas that is there. There are
many cool things, So if you've not been, you need
to go, and I could take it. Probably there are
some Star Wars fans who probably haven't been to Coasi
in a while.

Speaker 5 (08:29):
So go and don't be shy because you can dress
up in your favorite Star Wars character.

Speaker 8 (08:35):
I'm sure you saw a ton.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
I did for because after each adults.

Speaker 8 (08:41):
Doll costume or kid costume, go.

Speaker 1 (08:43):
For yes, Okay, So six one four eight two one
nine eight eight six six one four eight two one
WTVN for a four pack of VIP tickets to unofficial galaxies.

Speaker 5 (08:55):
All right, call us up now, we will take your calls.
A question I want to ask because I do feel
so bad about missing your birthday, and anyone can call
in and answer this question as well, maybe when you're
calling in for the coastside tickets. Have you ever forgotten
a birthday? Has there ever been one that? And then
they hit you a little bit later and you're like,
oh no, Like if you're married, if you if you
forget your spouse, you can't forget your kid's birthdays, right, No,

(09:18):
you can.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
You can turn them around at the pharmacists sometimes.

Speaker 5 (09:21):
But the funny thing is, you were just telling me
the other day how you've made a conscious effort to
look on Facebook to reach out to your friends who
are having birthdays, because a lot of times you do
keep track of it through Facebook because they posted, but
they do.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
But I always feel like I've been so busy that
I haven't really paid attention.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
And Facebook now has.

Speaker 1 (09:40):
The they have the friends tab I will tell many
about the friends tabs, so you can go to your
friends and well they didn't tag you. It's a tab
b instead of a G and so you.

Speaker 8 (09:52):
Know, they didn't tab me. They didn't know someone.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
I need to look at Mindy's app. So you have
to go in to and you know how.

Speaker 1 (10:00):
I used to when you go into friends, it would
just have friend requests. Yeah, has birthdays at the top
now and so I just decided, you know, people are
kind and do that all the time, So this year
I'm doing it.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
I have not done it before.

Speaker 1 (10:13):
Now I've been like, it's like a flow down and
do something different kind of thing, you know what I mean,
Like you.

Speaker 8 (10:18):
Ever forgotten somebody's birthday?

Speaker 1 (10:21):
Definitely when I was in college, I think if forgot
my grandmother's birthday one time, and I felt pretty bad
about that.

Speaker 2 (10:28):
Never a family member's birthday.

Speaker 8 (10:31):
Yeah, that's that's like bad.

Speaker 1 (10:33):
I mean I have I again, I've trans transpot what
you know what I'm trying to say, like numbers, Like
it's trying to e Marcus's birthday the other day and
they were like, no, that's not the right one.

Speaker 2 (10:44):
And I was like, I need coffee before it made this.
So that's I mean, I can get the numbers wrong.
But you know, me in a calendar.

Speaker 8 (10:52):
Girl, I know stuff like that.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
That's just me. Not everybody's that way.

Speaker 5 (10:57):
So call was up at six.

Speaker 8 (10:58):
One four, eight, two one nine at eighty six. Just
talk to us. Wish Mikayla a happy birthday.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
Wait, win some tickets to cry either.

Speaker 5 (11:05):
Kosai after Dark or take your family to see Kosai.
Really some great events always always there, and you can
share some good news because that's coming up on our
next segment.

Speaker 6 (11:14):
