Speaker 1 (00:00):
Still have our party people in studie other playing the
Buckeye fight song right now. So Sidney just presented that
awesome Ohio State signed jersey. And that's really what Benja
has been all about in life. And you know, Randy,
you co hosted with me today. I really think that
you are great at giving back to others as well.
I mean, you never ever put yourself first.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
I think that's a good way to be and I
think that's what you try to teach her kids. And
actions do speak louder than words. And by the way,
Sidney did an outstanding job of those cookies. The Chalki
Chip cookies were great.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
Yeah, that was her make a wish was to get
this awesome Buckeye themed kitchen. And then ben just gave
her presented her a surprise surprise jersey frame jersey with
the women's basketball team signed by Katie Smith who helped
out with that. But any thoughts, you know, you've sat
in here for two hours with me.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
No, it's good. I mean I enjoy listening to you
all the time. It's different to be on this side
of the mic. But no, it ruanan smooth and I
thought you did a job.
Speaker 3 (01:00):
It's not me, it's you.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
It's kind of It's not an easy thing to do, though,
to think on your feet all the time.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
No, not if you're not used to it.
Speaker 1 (01:06):
But you know, So I couldn't find Randy for a
couple of minutes while we were doing the last segment,
and then he said he was in the control room
with our producer, Chris. Chris has been a savior for
us because we have traveled so much watching Cammi play ball.
But when you have four dogs, you gotta have somebody
stay with those dogs. And Chris, you came up huge.
(01:28):
But I just found out that you have a little
video that you shared with Randy.
Speaker 3 (01:33):
What did he show you?
Speaker 4 (01:34):
So when I let your dogs out, usually they're you know,
they go, they're back in pretty quick. But you know,
sometimes you know, I'm waiting and waiting. I'm like, where's
it's just Nyla, where's Nyla at? And I will and
so I go out to the backyard. I'm like, Nyla
and it's a fenced in yard. It's fenced in, and
I'm like, there's no way she could have hopped the fence.
(01:55):
I don't think she did. That was my first thought
before were you nervous, not not. I was until I
heard the sounds of like digging, and then I'm like,
Nyla And then I see her like come up from
underneath your deck and I'm like, how did you fit
in there? And I'm like wondering that the whole time,
(02:16):
but that's where she was. She was like just digging,
like she's just underneath your deck. I'm like hot, and she.
Speaker 3 (02:22):
She's she gets stuck.
Speaker 4 (02:24):
She doesn't get she doesn't get stuck. She just something
must go down there and she just chases it or
something or or something else.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
That's funny, No, but you know Nyla. Nyla is everywhere,
so God love her. She's got a lot of energy.
But the reason I thanked him is we had a
dog sit her one time, and our dogs are like family.
And we came back and it is like the person
wasn't even there the last three days, and that's not
cool to our dogs. So we we that's important anything
(02:51):
is when we leave having the right person watching her dog. So, Chris,
you've done an outstanding job.
Speaker 3 (02:56):
Yeah you have, oh man, But he's not kidding.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
We walked in, the lights were on, there were all
these bugs by the lights.
Speaker 3 (03:02):
I think the door was left open or something.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
There was no water, no food, were like And this
was a friend of mine and a neighbor of ours
that recommended a family member of hers.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
Right, And I wanted to go find that person because
you know, dogs can't tell on you and they're kind
of helpless, right. So Chris has been a lifesaver in
that retrospect. And you know, we do travel a lot,
and that's our first concern always, who's going to watch
your dogs?
Speaker 3 (03:27):
So Chris, you do travel a little bit. What would
you suggest which of those lakes? But this is what
we came to the conclusion.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
It seems like Buckeye Lake and Indian Lake are very similar.
There's a lot of restaurants, a lot of bars around
the lake. They're bigger lakes. It's more of a party
in a sense where you look at Candlewood and Apple
Valley and it's a little more private, more family oriented.
Didn't you get that sense, you know when we were
at Candlewood.
Speaker 2 (03:50):
Yeah, I think we looked labeled. Candlewood is like the
movie what was that movie? Dirty Dancing and Dancing, you know,
like the family goes to the play important. Yeah, yeah,
it's just we've also found this out. It's very hard
to get a house on the water.
Speaker 3 (04:05):
Oh my gosh. Yeah, it's so hard. You can't get
a dock. You want a dock. And we want to
get a little butt, a boat, not a butt. We
don't want to butt. We want to vote.
Speaker 4 (04:12):
So I actually have I actually have a coworker who
recently they just bought a they're gonna she's retiring and
I think two years or so, and they just bought
a house up near Apple Valley. It was very low costing,
but they have to do a lot of renovations to it.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
Well that's the key.
Speaker 4 (04:29):
But they didn't mind that because of the price they paid. Okay, so,
but for me personally, if it was up to me,
I would probably do Buckeye Lake, would you, Yeah, But
that's just me personally. But I've been to Apple Valley
a few times and I will say that other than
the spiders, it is there. It is like it is
very beautiful up there.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
You know what the drawback I've heard from people the hoa's.
I've never lived in a neighborhood where I had to
pay hoa's and I like to kind of do my
own thing and that's one of the drawbacks.
Speaker 3 (04:58):
But I don't know. We'll figure it out.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
It's fun looking and it's fun going to these different houses,
but you definitely cannot choose online alone.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
You have to go for sure.
Speaker 2 (05:10):
My question you is it fun looking? Mama?
Speaker 3 (05:12):
It started out fun. Now I'm getting headaches. I'm like,
oh my gosh, it's too much because I wanted it yesterday.
Speaker 2 (05:18):
Right when Mindy wants to do something, she does want
it yesterday, and then she goes full bore and after
about six hours, I'm like, take a break. No, I
can't do it. I can't do it.
Speaker 3 (05:27):
I know most people are like, just this is a
big decision. Take your time. I'm like, I don't want
to take my time.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
So anyway, Benja, Sydney, your family, doctor b Randy, thank
you so much for filling in today. Was it fun?
Speaker 3 (05:37):
Did you have fun?
Speaker 2 (05:38):
Hun? I? Did? Mama always have fun when you're involved.
Speaker 3 (05:41):
You know, it's funny if you look at our phone.
Speaker 1 (05:43):
Every time Randy calls the name pops ups hot Daddy,
and when I call him, the name that.
Speaker 3 (05:48):
Pops up is hot Mama, Mama, and everyone.
Speaker 1 (05:51):
Thinks it's so cute. We're like, well, it's just kind
of funny. It's not anything anyway, So thanks for listening everybody.
McKay love will be back next week. We are going
to Nashville, Randy and I with Cammy. That was what
she wanted for graduation. You've never been to Nashville before, No,
