Speaker 1 (00:01):
Thank We have some pretty fun news to share with everybody.
We love the studio that we're in, but we love
more than anything going live on location, and that's where
we get to be next week.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Absolutely, and someone who's familiar to us from our NBC
four days they're going to join and joining us now.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
Doctor G tell us about where we're going to be
next week and why it's so cool for people and pets.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
Well, thank you for having me here, and I mean,
I'm so excited that you guys are going to be
joining us at the Dublin Pet Fair. You know, this
is the thirteenth Dublin Pet Fair and it's going to
happen Sunday, September twenty first, from noon to five at
the Kuffin Park Pavilion in Dublin. And this is a
free admission for people, for the whole family, for pets,

(00:49):
and there's going to be so many things to do.
It's going to be fantastic.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
I love it.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
So where does it happen, doctor G? So people know
where they can come out to in Dublin.

Speaker 3 (00:59):
Well, two different things happening the same day for the
pet Fair. First, we're going to have a five k
race that starts at nine in the morning and that
is at the at Cofman Park as well, and then
as the pavilion is going to be the actual pet
fair from noon to five, and that's where people are
going to be able to find the vendors and such.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
We are so glad that you thought of both raw
and what matters for this because Mikaela, myself boots, we
all love love love animals. We also love love love
anything that's free. So this is great from people are yeah, exactly,
but what do you think is the most beneficial part
of why someone who maybe has their own dog, cat,

(01:41):
pop belly pig, or is looking for a new pet
should come out there.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
Well, the biggest thing is that we are we are
huge about working with rescues, and you know, we believe
that the best pets for those that are adopted, and
so we have quite a few of the rescues that
come in and they come in with their adoptable so
people can see them and see what they're doing, talk
to them and learn a little bit about these animals.
And then there are a lot of nonprofits that they

(02:08):
may not adopt animals, but like one of our sponsors,
you may world for animals. They help animals all over
the place, so you know, and we have the Ohio
State University that's another one of our sponsors. So people,
if you already have a pet and you're not looking
to get another pet, there's going to be information for them.
There's going to be vendors with cute things and morabilia,
and then for those who want to exercise their pet,

(02:31):
there's gonna be a lower course, so people can bring
their pet and have him do a run through a
lower course.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
So Boots is going to be out there too. Can
we have him go through that course? I think people
might pay money to watch him go through it, just
to act like an animal.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
That would be fantastic. And they do photography so we
can get some good, fantastic pictures of him doing so.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
So, doctor g it's been so long since I've talked
to you, so it's so nice to hear your voice.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
What have you been up to? Real quickly?

Speaker 2 (03:00):
I would love to know, peace.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
What haven't I been up to? So primarily doing the
Rascal Unit, which is our trucks that travel through the
state offering affordable and accessible care to individuals in need,
primarily in rural counties and then I have been doing
some education with the students from Ohio State and teaching
them how to like a community practice about surgical skills
and medical skills and wellness. And then on the side,

(03:26):
I also do veterinary forensics. So I hope in cases
of animal cruelty and neglect.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
Do you think there's more neglect and cruelty here in
Ohio when it comes to animals. Most people realize, I
know the answer to.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
This, but go ahead, yeah, you know, I think so.
And it's because there's a lot of different levels of neglect.
And one of the things that we do through our
Rascal Unit is provide affordable and accessible care so that
we can eliminate those those I say unintentional neglect when
people cannot afford to take care of their pet or
do not have access to it. You know, sometimes those

(04:00):
pets are neglected and it's not really at the fault
of the owner. And then unfortunately, there's there's a lot
of puppy mills, there's a lot of animal abuse, high
volume animal abuse happening.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
You know.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
We're so looking forward to having you and having us
happy you having us next weekend, So looking forward to
seeing you in person. And thanks for joining us for
a little bit.

Speaker 3 (04:22):
Thank you. And I just want to let people know
that if they need more information, to just visit Dublin
petfair dot org and there they can get the lowdown
on everything that's happening.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
Dublin petfair dot org. If it's raining, because right now
there's a thirty five percent of a chance of rain
for Sunday. Is it rain or shine?

Speaker 3 (04:41):
Rain or shine?

Speaker 1 (04:42):
Okay, okay, thanks, thanks to see you next Sunday on location.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
Thank you so much, all, I thank you.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
What a what a show.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
Brian and Pete, we saw you there. Sorry we couldn't
get to your care. Yeah. And we have some people
talking about online comments. We can see your comments. You're
not blocked. I just looked at him right now, so
you're there. We see you, hi.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
Yeah, Because they message us and said, why what happened
to free speech that you guys are talking about? Why
am I getting flagged on comments on your what matters pace?

Speaker 2 (05:12):
We haven't seen flaggs And I just looked and I
responded to some of them.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
So yeah, we are all for free speech for sure.
Yeah we are.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
And I think you know, we had gosh, I think
we had a really productive conversation today. I was looking
at one other sution.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
That so many people need right now, and you know what,
that's the whole thing. Don't listen to all the noise
because it really is hard to believe what's true, what
you're hearing, what's not.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
And maybe you need to ask yourself after a comment
I just read, are you causing the noise? Someone just
put down that Spencer Cox is anti Trump. We said
this earlier. Inside these parties there are people in all
different parts of the spectrum. Does that make the people
wrong that you know we're not saying that here? So

(06:01):
you know, maybe we should listen to the people that
are in our own group and in our own tribe.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
In honor of Charlie Kirk, listen to the opposition and
listen to the opposition. He was a master at it,
and he kept the peace.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
And he never tried to be violent with the opposite.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
Sure never. It was all about a good debate and
his funeral. I believe it's a week from today, so
spend the week just I will be the same way
as always, pushing people toward God, pushing people toward prayer.
I think there's a sense of self peace there, I
really do, because we don't have the answers. We don't
know the answers. But you know what, as long as

(06:37):
you totally and truly believe in your heart that God
is in charge, you're gonna live a better life. There's
a piece of a sense of peace right there.

Speaker 3 (06:44):
There is.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
And to the people who are being awful, you don't
look hateful, don't look at celebrating his death.

Speaker 1 (06:53):
Don't look at them.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
They are not worth your no time exactly all right,
have a great week, and no matter what you do,
spend some time doing what matters.
