so many people that want to go to Italy.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
You're going to maybe go.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
I'm hoping like it's one of the biggest draws where
if people could go anywhere in Europe, it would be Italy.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Yeah. Why, I just think if ye know, they're fashion mecca.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
They have incredibly wonderful flavors and foods, and you know
the history and the Vatican and there's so much to
see there and that's.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
Why Michaela's there. So again, call us up and win
tickets got six one four eight two one nine eight
eight six six one four eight two one nine eighty six.
All you have to do is tell us your favorite
season to dress. Do you love to dress in the fall?
Do you love to dress in the summer? Winter? Spring?
Your favorite season for getting your bling on?

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Yeah? I people love fall clothes, a lot of people.
You know what You're right?

Speaker 3 (01:43):
I think fall probably is going to be the winter
winter chicken dinner. But you know I I gotta tell
you winter winter chicken dinner. Well, we used to give
away chicken chicken coupons, we remember, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
But Saint John the Baptist that's where this Ye's Italian
Festival is. Six one four eight one nine eighty six.
Win tickets to the Columbus Italian Festival going on this
coming weekend at Saint John the Baptist Italian Catholic Church.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
That's amazing, all right? So what is okay?

Speaker 3 (02:12):
So what is in Okay, let me just tell you
something really fast. Okay, So, really a lot of things
are in almost anything goes these days.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Really, right, But as she winks, wink, wink, But but
do we like things a little bit better? Do things?

Speaker 3 (02:27):
Some things look a little cleaner, more cut to your shape,
to your color.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
Schemes, themes with your skin tone and all of that.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
Right, But I want to tell you something that's funny
that I always say because you always say I'm a
fastionista whatever, and people will ask me, well, where are
you going to wear that? And I'm like Kroger, like
what I mean? I'll just wear if I never save anything.
If I have a new outfit that I love, I
can't wait to put it on. And if I don't
have anywhere special to go, I make that day a

(02:56):
special day by wearing what I love. It's a lot
of work, though, well do you that doesn't mean that
doesn't mean that I have to see the part that
takes so much time is like straightening the hair, putting
on the makeup. I'm not saying I have to do
all that. But I will wear the outfit. You will
We will wear that outfit.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
And it's too good and it might be.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
At Kroger behind a cart, but I'm going to wear it.
And that's the kind of a joke, but I would
wear it Kroger, okay. So some of the things that
are trending this year for fall that I do really
love different shapes of blouses with detail, so whether that's
the lace around the wrists or a little tie in

(03:37):
the back, and it's dressy enough that you could dress
it up and put dress pants. I always want to
say slacks, and everybody says, I sound like my mom,
slacks slacks.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
Wear nice slacks and it put a pump on and
wear it to an event.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
But they're also wearing them with Dunham too, and that's
totally fine in a nice loafer.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
And I like that look a lot.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
So that when you buy this really pretty blouse that
you love, you don't have to just wear it when
you're dressing up or going into the office, okay, or
going to an event, so you can wear it different ways.
I always say it's Studio eleven style. Get the free
app drop that in there. I always say, try to
buy pieces that you can wear multiple ways. Don't just

(04:25):
buy someoney. I mean, money's hard to come by right,
So buy things that you know. I am going to
wear this many different ways. It's not a one and done.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
Oh Wi.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
I cannot tell you how old some of my clothes
are because I've held onto them forever. I always think
to myself, I can wear this somewhere down the line,
somewhere down the road, and I'm glad I've.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
Held onto it well. And my friends may not be
so glad that I held on, Like.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
We want to mix in a new shirt, Mandy, can
you get rid of that old thing now?

Speaker 2 (04:53):
But the thing of.

Speaker 3 (04:54):
It is, I always say, if you the staples like
your capsule wardrobe, and what that means is those pieces
that fit your body really well, and it's very a
classic look that you'll be able to have. You might
spend a little bit more on it and you'll be
able to have it in your wardrobe and it goes
with a lot of different things and it fits your body.
Those things you can have for years and years. Trends

(05:16):
come and go, and I don't pay a lot of
money for those because I know I'm not going to
have this a long time, right, But my nice, my
nice slacks that fit my body right, Okay, Yeah, I'm
gonna pay some extra and I'm going to have them
a long time.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
Jan is on the line. Maybe she has a question
for you about fall fashions or winter fashions, or you
might be wanting to just win those Italian Festival tickets,
which is going on this weekend Friday, Saturday, Sunday at
Saint John the Baptist Italian Church in Columbus. Jan, what
is your favorite season to get dressed and look good?

Speaker 2 (05:51):
I probably think more spring? Really, Oh, we've got a spring.
We got a spring here?

Speaker 3 (05:57):
Okay, well, and spring we're all excited because finally the
sun's starting to come out and the weather's getting a
little bit warmer. And obviously you're calling in. I'm assuming
you live in Columbus area or in Ohio somewhere. Yeah,
so depending on what day in spring, we could have snow,
we could have sun hot.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
Who knows.

Speaker 3 (06:20):
Yeah. I love spring clothes too, and the new colors.
It's just vibrant and it gets you excited for nicer weather.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
I like spring clothes too.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
The one thing I notice now is almost all of
my pants are like a stretchy yoga kind of pants.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
Yes, and I never feel like that's dressy enough.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
Well, I actually just got some new pants and I
almost brought them with me to show Mendy. Oh really,
they are a stretch fabric, but they feel really good.
They're a little thicker and they feel like butter. They
are elastic around the waist.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
We don't have butter.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
They like butter, and that's why we need the elastic,
because we like butda. So they have a split hem
so it's just that little slice up the front a
little bit. But then they it gives them a really
dressy look. And I'm fine with not having zippers or buttons.
I still think that they can be super duper dressy.

(07:10):
So don't you worry about that. You put a cute
little blouse on with it and you'll look dressy enough.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
So Jan, you did it. You won You get to
go to this year's Italian Festival at Saint John the
Baptist Church. It's going on Friday, Saturday, Sunday. All you
have to do is give your email and phone number
to our producer and you are going this weekend. You
have a great time.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
Jan, thank you so very much. You're welcome.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
We have more tickets to give away if you want
to call in and win them at six one four, eight, two,
one nine, eight eighty six. I have a question for you. Yes,
the weather has been awesome with yes, and so you know,
the rule is after Labor Day and I'll love to
wear white.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
Okay, let's talk about that.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
Let's talk about it, because I feel like I'm fifty
seven years old.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
I'm gonna wear what I want to wear.

Speaker 3 (07:51):
Yeah, and you know what, it's our mother and our
heads too. Because but here's the thing I think about white.
This is my opinion, and I've always said, don't tell
me I can't wear white after you know, I'm gonna
wear it.

Speaker 2 (08:02):
But it is really the fabrics.

Speaker 3 (08:05):
So if it's getting chili, it's fall the linen and
the sheer fabrics like silk and things like that if
it's white. Not saying you can't wear silk all year,
but white. If it's a jean and it's thicker or
like I have these new ivory and they look almost
white dress pants, there's nothing prettier than that.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
And you can what you need to do is, I
say winter.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
Rise it a little bit, so you might wear white
at the bottom with your pants, and then you might
want to put a really pretty kind of like a
camel color top with it to kind of bring it
into the season. You can take your pieces from summer
in through fall and winter, as long as you just
add things to it to you know, warm it up
a little bit.

Speaker 1 (08:51):
That makes sense.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
Yeah, all right, wear those white? Wow? I do. I'm like, listen,
at my age, You're not gonna tell me I can't
wear white anymore. I'm gonna do what I want to do.
We're gonna send Christmas white pants, so she's like, I'm
wearing green and white. This is what I'm wearing my
white pants at Christmas.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
We have a couple more tickets to give away, so
we're going to take a break. Call us up at
six one four eight two one nine eight eight six.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
We'll be right back everybody. Yeah,
