Speaker 1 (00:00):
I bro. This is one of our favorite parts of
the show. And remember in our five o'clock hour, we
are going to take candidates calls. If you're running for
any type of an office, you know voting day is
Tuesday already. You might have a low turnout because there's
no state wide issue. It's not a presidential election this year,
so it's all going to depend on voter turnout if
you want your levy past or not past. Anyway, we

(00:21):
talked about those teachers out in Arizona, if they should
or shouldn't be fired for wearing or allegedly wearing those
Charlie kirkshirts with blood down the left side of them.
Horrifect stupid, terrible. This is a teacher who is completely
opposite of that. I am giving her all the credit
and all the praise in the world. I love what
she's doing in the classroom. She's in Africa. She's a

(00:45):
teacher in Africa, and she's teaching her students, her young
elementary kids, about their private parts and no one should
ever touch their private parts. Go ahead and play this
song that she's singing to her kids.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
These everybody my private parts.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
No one should squeeze them. And she's like doing the motions,
these are my private parts, my private How about that
for a teacher taking the initiative. And then do you
hear the sound and how passionate she is about it
and that these students are singing it right back with her.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
I mean, it's amazing. And if you know the history
in Africa about female genital mutilation, like she's making these
kids stand up early to know this is not your zone,
this is not your place to touch.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
And you tell your teacher, you tell your mother, you
tell your father. Spread like wildfires on social media.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
Ever get I get, I don't, but then you inform me.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
And that's some things I wish I did.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
Sometimes I try to calm her down.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
It depends on what.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
She shares with me exactly.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
No, that is just brilliant on her part. And what
a catchy song.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
Like I said, these are my private parts, private parts,
private parts. I sent that to Chris last week because
we were gonna run it last week, and I was
so bummed, but we didn't get to have shows. I'm like,
that's okay. We're holding on to that for good news
for this week.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
So I held on to some of my good news too,
for so the quarterback of the buck Eyes, Julian saying,
just saying, just saying, has I'm I kind of wondered
if this is true, but I think it's true, donated
his entire one point two million dollars in performance and
sponsorship earnings to fund a series of homeless support centers

(03:06):
in his hometown region in Ohio. The initiative is going
to help create one hundred and fifty housing units and
three hundred shelter beds for those in need.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
Is this a thing?

Speaker 1 (03:17):
I mean when I saw it, I could not incredibly cool,
but loved him before this story. How do you not
love that young man?

Speaker 3 (03:26):
I mean, to make that decision when money and the
bottom dollar drives so much in our society right now, Chris,
I kind of got goosebumps when I saw that. That
is something that is beyond a kid's years when it
comes to maturity.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
So is that true? Because right away you are shaking
your head, yes, like that has been documented?

Speaker 4 (03:42):
Yeah, because I've seen that multiple places. I've seen it
many places. At first I didn't believe it, but then
I was like, because you know, sometimes bout let's get
things at different times. I was seeing it in a
few other places, and I was like wow, I mean, wow, to.

Speaker 3 (04:01):
Gosh, that is such a humbling, servant thing to do for.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
Us as a college as a college kid. And what
year is he right now?

Speaker 4 (04:10):
He is?

Speaker 1 (04:11):
I transferred over? I believe he's a freshman right now, right, Chris,
isn't he fresh like he came from Alabama when Nick
Saban was let go or not let go? I'm sorry
when Nick Saban left, even they would never let go
Nick Saban. He transferred into the Buckeye So this is
his first year with the Buckeyes. But he might be
a sophomore true freshman. What do you think?

Speaker 4 (04:28):
I think he's sohomore.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
But like a but playing for his first year technically.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
Like age wise sophomore but freshman eligibility. Maybe I'm not sure.
I really don't, cause when you transfer it just gets
so confusing. It does. But I don't blame him when
you know what, if you were recruited by Nick Saban
and then you don't Nick Shaban leaves, yeah, go be
a buck Eye buddy. He was by Nation loves him.

Speaker 3 (04:51):
He wasn't on like the A team or whatever that
I can't remember the team that he played like for
practice on. But I was reading that too anyway, Julian
saying you're my favorite, like keep doing it, Like what
a wonderful role.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
Mind, wait a minute, he wasn't on the A team,
Are you sure? Because I thought he was highly recruited
and he went to Alabama for Nick Saban because he
was going to be swear that I saw that he played.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
This was just today. I'm gonna look this up. Maybe
I could be wrong.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
I think he was highly recruited, and uh, Nick Saban
couldn't wait to coach this young man because he was gonna.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
And then Saban left and then he left you.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
Yeah, well I'll look it up, but I will tell
you he I'm a big fan off the field, on
the field and off the field.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
Yeah. Oh, he's definitely killing it on the field for
sure too. Yeah you think Chris he has a chance
at the Heisman?

Speaker 4 (05:34):
In my mind, he needed Yeah, he needs to be.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
In that front runner or at least mentioned.

Speaker 4 (05:38):
Oh, he should be at least a candidate and at
the end of the season, just based on his stats alone, I.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
Will I will say this to be honest, he does
have a heck of a receiving corps I mean any
quarterback in the country would love to have the Buckeye
receivers to throw to.

Speaker 4 (05:54):
I mean, yeah, what's better than the other?

Speaker 1 (05:56):
I mean they're just great.

Speaker 4 (05:57):
Well, I think both Jeremiah Smith and Carl's that should
be up for Receiver of the Year.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
Oh, hands down.

Speaker 4 (06:03):
So I think all three of them should be up
for the awards that they're up for. I mean Julian
I think just I don't know, he's got that heisman
to Did you.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
See the national story that they ran before the game
on Carnel Tait and his mom who was killed in
the dry By shooting in Chicago with Chicago Yeah, yeah,
so he team just adopted him.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
So this is what it was, Julian saying. Nick Saban
jokes that he is a quote dumb you know what
for putting os U's Julian saying on Alabama's scout team.
So he made a self deprecating joke over the weekend
that he was playing on Alabama's scout team, which I
don't know what the scout team is, but it sounded
like it was not the A team.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
So so he was joking.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
But yeah, he was joking about it.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
Okay, because I thought he was pretty highly recruited. You're
not going to Alabama unless you're one of the top
recruited quarterbacks in the country.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
I mean that is true.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
He had up here, he ended up here. Thanks Nick Saban, you.

Speaker 3 (06:57):
Guys so much coming up next, including Ho Sai and
giveaways that isn't the five o'clock hour here on what
matters

Speaker 1 (07:03):
And then after that we're taking your calls candidates,
