Speaker 1 (00:00):
We are thankful for We're thankful for this segment that
Tattletale sponsors, but we're just thankful to be able to
share good news with everybody every single Sunday at this time.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
You need some good information, you need a smile, you
need a laugh. Usually that's what we have in this segment,
and we.
Speaker 3 (00:14):
Need more of that. You're sure, what's your good news?
Speaker 2 (00:17):
So one thing is, I know we have a lot
of family that might be coming into Central Ohio to
spend time with Thanksgiving festivities, right, and so you need
some stuff to do with your family, right, So I
have a couple of different suggestions of things that people
should take a look at that's got good news. So
for those of you on Instagram, there's an account called
Two Girls, One Sea Bus, So that's too the word
(00:40):
two two Girls, one Sea Bus, and they do a
what's Happening in Columbus, Ohio every week with a huge
list of stuff.
Speaker 3 (00:49):
You can read it all, well, yeah you have to,
but you have to go in like that on it, right.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
And so what was the newspaper that we used to
have all the stuff that would happen each week?
Speaker 3 (00:58):
You know what I'm talking about? Suburban news, Oh, the
other paper, but it was in that group.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
Remember the Dispatch put it out and it would be
like all the stuff like concerts and fun stuff to
do that were this week this yes, this.
Speaker 3 (01:11):
Week, this week.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
Yeah, I knew, I get it eventually I was reading
off all these different things.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
So I feel like we're missing that in this day
and age.
Speaker 3 (01:19):
You should see that, and everybody just goes online.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
Yeah, and so this is one of the things that
I think you guys should check out. There's tons of
stuff from sporting events to fun music to fun gaming opportunities.
Speaker 3 (01:30):
I don't know, there's just a lot there.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
I wouldn't be surprised if the Columbus Sympathy Orchestra, which
comes in next segment, probably has been on there from
what I think I remember seeing them.
Speaker 3 (01:40):
So anyway, check it out.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
Two girls, One Sea Bus on Instagram. They post every week.
Their next post should be coming up soon for this
coming week.
Speaker 1 (01:48):
So my good news has to do with a high
school basketball coach who we've talked about before on the air,
Ardie Taylor. Remember him and his wife had a white party. Yes,
and I'm like, what is a white party?
Speaker 2 (02:01):
It was your first one that you everybody had, but
it was.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
To celebrate their pre anniversary for the years of marriage
that they've had. Well I also told you that Artie
was diagnosed with cancer. It'll be a year this coming January.
And Wellington School where he spent the last eleven years
coaching and he went to state twice. Well, he's really
familiar with basketball in the state of Ohio because he
also coached six years at Wittenberg and six years at
(02:27):
Ohio Dominican. Yeah, he's very, very well known in the
basketball community. Well, everyone knows what he's going through right now,
and it's a battle. Like he is in the fight
of his life and kind of got some bad news
the other day, so he's really in the fight of
his life. So Wellington had him back to his school
because he had to step down from coaching. He can't
coach right now when you're trying to.
Speaker 3 (02:49):
Stay alive, basically.
Speaker 1 (02:51):
So they renamed the court Artie Taylor Court, and it
looks beautiful and the gymnasium was packed with so many
of his former players and families. They gave him this
moment and it's a beautiful moment. I'm so happy that
Wellington did that. A lot of times things like this
(03:11):
take place after somebody passes, maybe years down the road,
after someone passes the memorial to I.
Speaker 3 (03:18):
Think, oh, we should rename it. But to have this
done when you're alive.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
Same thing with my father in law in Calleida the
years he was that basketball coach. That Jim Floor is
coach Dick Cordacrack's court and I love that. And so
for Ardie Taylor and his family to be able to
be there in that moment and to see the love
because you are appreciated after you coach for so many years,
(03:43):
the lives you changed is incredible and I.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
Hope, and I think it usually does in these cases
that it gives him a boost while he's in treatment
to have seen that and experience that with the naming
of the court, I think that leads to good things
for people who are gone through treatment.
Speaker 1 (03:58):
We met them because Randy and Are would coach against
each other and they always had so much fun.
Speaker 3 (04:02):
After the game. We would just you know, harass each other.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
And actually Randy and I were going to go visit
them after the show today just to give them our support.
It's not having a very good evening, yes, so we're
going to try it now tomorrow night.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
But it's so important to be there for your people. Yeah,
no matter what you're no matter what you're going through.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
Great good news story.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Yes it was.
Speaker 3 (04:22):
I'll show you the video of it.
Speaker 2 (04:23):
I would love to see it.
Speaker 3 (04:24):
We got a hit break.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
