Speaker 1 (00:02):
All right, it is time that we talk about hot topics.
We do this every single week here on What Matters.
So you know, things that are happening in the news,
things that maybe you've noticed on social media. And there
has been one story that has just bombarded everything you
can imagine and you can't get away from it. You
can't get away from it. It's that Coldplay kiss cam
(00:23):
footage of the CEO and the HR chick. I just
I didn't know it would blow up how it would.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
I must be silly, though, because I should have known
in twenty twenty five, when somebody captures something on video
and it's a little spicy, it's gonna go everywhere.
Speaker 1 (00:41):
And I think why it's gone everywhere? The reaction, you know,
the reaction like they got busted, totally totally busted. And
then you see all of these memes and all these
reenactment videos where people will be at sporting events. I
don't know if I've seen any other concerts.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
I've seen fred ends on my Facebook feed who went
to like the next Coldplay concert that were like more married, Yeah,
Like they were holding each other and the caption was like,
don't worry, We're married.
Speaker 1 (01:13):
I have seen signs though, saying we're married and things
like that. But it has exploded. Do you want to
comment on it? At six one four, eight, two, one nine,
eight eighty six, someone put together a video montage and
put it out on social media, and they put families
have been divided, but the world is united because all
the world is coming together. To just say, first of all,
(01:34):
I can't believe this has happened. Kind of crazy that
a CEO and HR person would do this at a
concert get busted. But they're making their own videos. So
like they said, families have been divided, but the world
is united. Kind of a weird way to unite the world.
Speaker 2 (01:48):
I can't Yeah, I mean I can't figure out. You know,
there's been some meme or pretend statements from the CEO.
I can't tell if you said anything or not right,
Like I was looking for that. I think we were
talking about it today. But what do you say? I
mean you he resigned, which I think is the right
(02:08):
thing to do. Yes, but did she I have not
seen anything about her resigning, but.
Speaker 1 (02:14):
I haven't either. But was he forced to resign because
he's the CEO and she's under him? I mean, so
to speak, underhn yeah, no, from a frog title.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
From a job title perspective, and under his arms.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
I don't know. I mean, I know she's on leave.
I do know that. Here's the thing. Yes, you're gonna
get busted. You're gonna get busted. I mean, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
Have you seen this stuff on TikTok. It's like parallel
to this where people are on a plane together and
you see like there's a couple that's canoodling on the
plane and the person is making the TikTok and it's like, hey,
if your husband is Rick and he is on the
flight from Atlanta to whatever on adelta, like he's not
(03:00):
with you, he is with someone else, Like TikTok will
tell on you.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
Yes, but to be on the jumbo tron on the
kiss cam. What's the chance of that happening? How many
people were at that concert?
Speaker 2 (03:13):
Thousands?
Speaker 1 (03:13):
Right, But listen, I feel badly and Boots and I
talked about this on RAW. I feel badly for the
wife who was cheated on and the husband who was
cheated on. Imagine seeing your spouse, not just seeing the
kisscam footage, but seeing it explode all across the country
and then other people mimicking it. This is your life
(03:35):
and yeah, kids.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
And last night I will tell you this on TikTok
I saw I've seen two people either try to pretend
to be their kids, which I think is awful, like kids,
Like a boy who's probably about twelve or thirteen years
old has started an account and has three posts up.
And then a girl who's like warming her hands by
(03:57):
a fire says she's the I don't know whether to
believe either of these things, but they're probably not the
real kids.
Speaker 1 (04:05):
How terrible is that? That's what I mean. It's terrible.
But in today's world, something like that happens. They probably
had no idea it would spread like wildfire.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
I mean, And so I have a question for you.
If they had not reacted that way.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Uh huh, would this have happened? Probably not, because who
would have known, because part of it was the person
speaking saying, oh, they either just got busted or they
don't have something like that.
Speaker 2 (04:33):
They should have just gone along with it, because that
video would probably never made it out.
Speaker 1 (04:37):
Ever. They should have just gone with it. But it
got busted and they got busted. And you know what,
stay faithful, stay faithful to your marriage. I looked up
this stat and it said in America, and this was
done by a General Social Survey called GSS. In America,
infidelity in marriage is reported to effect about twenty percent
of men and thirteen percent of women. That they also
(05:01):
said that these numbers are probably on the low side.
These are people who admit that they have cheated twenty
percent of men who are married and thirteen percent of women.
When they said, in reality, those numbers are most likely
higher than that. But you know what, Yeah, is marriage easy? No? No,
But if you want to mess around, get a divorce
first and then go have at it.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
Well, I was thinking, there's actually in the mornings, I
usually am watching the Today Show. On one of the
Today's Show, whether folks, and a lot of people know
separating from her husband. They had a radio show together
on Sirius and I was like, wow, they have been
separated and they are divorced. I think it takes work
to come back from the hard places. And I wonder,
(05:43):
pardon me, wonders if sometimes people just aren't willing to
put in the work.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
Oh, I'm sure, I'm sure. Or you're getting more attention
at work from someone who you're not married to, and
I don't know. It's a shame, but we had to
talk about it. Oh, Dick, Dick from Dayton.
Speaker 2 (06:01):
I was just in your neck of the woods. Dick,
what do you have to say about the concert?
Speaker 3 (06:06):
That was a terrible tragedy. That was bad. I thought,
you know, it really was. But I just thought I
would check you guys. You guys, I just wanted to
tell you have a great show. And I'm a big
fan of I heart Hatio in Ohio. But I consider
you guys great people up there. You're great people.
Speaker 1 (06:26):
Well, you're great people down in Dayton. Like Mikayla said,
she was just there. She was just in a necklace.
Speaker 2 (06:30):
Yeah, Dick, I just went to Dorothy Lane. That's a
pretty fancy place.
Speaker 3 (06:36):
Yeah that. I used to go there all the time.
I had a friend in college and you know, oh
that's beautiful there and they got coffee at Stoker and
he used to be a stateman. We used to eat there. Oh,
you were right at my neck of the woods.
Speaker 1 (06:50):
I really was.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
I was meeting family for lunch at Double Days.
Speaker 1 (06:53):
I bet you know what that is too.
Speaker 3 (06:55):
That is that's a crazy all that's good and uh yeah,
I I was telling Boots uh, you know, I play
in bands and things and everything, but I want boots.
I live in a place down here, but I've been
playing a lot of bands. And my cousin Tony came
and we played. But I want boots. I want to
come up the play outside the studio.
Speaker 1 (07:16):
There.
Speaker 3 (07:16):
I got another come.
Speaker 1 (07:18):
To a car show and play outside of a car show.
Speaker 3 (07:22):
Everything. I could play, mandolin, banjo, guitar, and I get
going on those.
Speaker 2 (07:27):
And you're putting a.
Speaker 1 (07:28):
Good word in. We gotta go to break, but we're
putting a good word in for you. Car show idea.
Speaker 2 (07:32):
That's done, Dick, have a great Sunday.
Speaker 1 (07:34):
Okay, thanks Dick. Oh yeah, all right, we're gonna talk
dogs coming up.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
Yeah, dog going, dog go, and but also dog find home,
dog happy, good shorty.
Speaker 1 (07:49):
