Speaker 1 (00:03):
Can I make up for it?
Speaker 2 (00:04):
Hey? I like this song Happy Birthday to kill there,
Oh brid Day.
Speaker 3 (00:12):
We're going to come in and out of every break
playing Happy Birthday from the team.
Speaker 1 (00:15):
We're going to make up for my forgetfulness of being
a bad friend.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
And being a busy mom and just trying to get
everybody home and together.
Speaker 3 (00:23):
I have the best hot topic. I can't wait. Such
a cool story.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
Okay, and it has to do with my brother in law, Rick,
who was planning this golf trip. Him and seven his buddy.
So there's a group of eight that go over. They
usually go to Myrtle Beach every year, go trip for
like a week get away from the wives and families
and golf. So this year they thought, we're going to
cross off a bucket list item and we're going to Scotland.
(00:47):
Oh wow, I know right. So this has been planned
for the last couple of years. So they get to
Scotland and they're staying at Turnberry, which is one of
President Trump's courses.
Speaker 3 (00:58):
And a very well known course.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
Couple days into the visit, they're like, you know what,
we might have a really special guest come by. So
security is going to be tight and at any given time,
the hotel staff can go into your room, search it,
look through all of your luggage whatever. Well, this special
guest was President Trumps himself.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
I wondered if you're going to say that, and he
was just overseas or something.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
Well, he's in Scotland.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
In fact, he's still in Scotland, right, I don't know that.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
President Trump and actually the EU chief reached an agreement
to end the Transatlantic tariffs just moments ago. It's just
maybe within the hour. Yeah, averting a full blown trade war.
So that was going over in Scotland. And he was
there to name another course after his mom, so was
his whole family was there.
Speaker 3 (01:41):
Rick had no idea. So he's out.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
There golfing just today this morning because it's like a
five hour difference, and this ball rolls up right next
to his foot and.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
Then security goes all over.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
That's President Trump's Paul, Do you mind if he you know,
shoot air hits it around.
Speaker 4 (01:59):
So he was playing, yes, and he said when he
saw President Trump's entourage, yes, there were like thirty six
golf carts around him, snipers everywhere.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
It said, it made him just so nervous. So we
interviewed him on raw today, not prison Trump, because it
was just something that who gets to golf and there's
the president right behind you. I don't care if you're
a Republican, Democrat, independent, the president of the United States
of America.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
Was behind you.
Speaker 3 (02:25):
Would you ever get that change?
Speaker 2 (02:26):
And he was almost assassinated on a golf course, like so,
no wonder the I mean, there would be presidents anyway,
but I'm not shocked to hear about the snipers.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
So he actually took time to meet with these guys,
and when he found out that they were from Ohio,
he did say something to this group of golfers, including
my brother in law, Rick Quardcracks.
Speaker 3 (02:43):
So here's what he told Boots Night on the air
earlier today. Go ahead, Chris in and they gave.
Speaker 5 (02:47):
Us the Wan treatment and everything and good. They said,
He's going to go ahead and play the back nine,
so why not? And we were so we were excited
and ended up being that we sin he still and
they were playing up to it, so we had to
wait on the next tea box to let them play through.
And they came up and they hit and again President
(03:09):
Trump was very nice. He said, hey, thanks for letting
us play through, and he said, Hey, we're from a
little town in Ohio. We supported you, you know, and
stuff like that. Can we get a picture? And he
was extremely gracious. He came over and took pictures with us,
and he was talking about Ohio and how he we
won Ohio three year, three elections in a row, and
(03:32):
very nice banter back and forth. Took pictures with him.
Speaker 3 (03:34):
So it was.
Speaker 5 (03:36):
Extremely Uh, I don't know, all the ordinary experience looked
extremely cool, and he was so personable that he stood
there and talked with us and stuff and things that
we never expected, right, so.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
Unbelievable to have that moment that you were planning this
trip for a couple of years lo and behold, you're
there staying in his hotel the same week that he
ends up coming there, Like that's crazy.
Speaker 3 (04:02):
And then Rick went on to say the amazing thing was.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
Because there were some protesters there too who don't like
President Trump. And they said, the amazing thing was, I
look back from the Fairway and when those protesters and
camera people were yelling at Trump, he teed off and
then turned around and tried to talk to the protesters,
but they wouldn't have it. He said, who who does that?
Speaker 3 (04:22):
Who at least goes a man to confront them.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
I mean, he's a man who wants to have a conversation.
He's not willing to step back from a disagreement. So
I mean, I'm not shocked at that part.
Speaker 3 (04:33):
Like a drave story that he will have for the
rest of his life.
Speaker 1 (04:38):
Right, Truly, he couldn't have all the snipers he saw
on all that, like thirty six golf cards.
Speaker 2 (04:43):
Wasn't that within the last year? Am I correct about that?
When did that attempt happen?
Speaker 3 (04:48):
I know the first one, It was the first one.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
The Butler Pennsylvania where he was hit in the ear
was a little more than a year ago, So the
golf one was was after that.
Speaker 3 (04:57):
Yes, it was after that.
Speaker 2 (04:58):
It was after that, and we were just talking about
the Butler Pennsylvania went I think it's we haven't heard
much more about that one. I think it's so odd.
Speaker 3 (05:05):
That's the picture with the four Oh oh my gosh,
Seump's right in the middle.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
Rick is just to the left of him, and then
if you turn this way you can see all the
entourage on the golf course.
Speaker 3 (05:16):
Oh my god.
Speaker 1 (05:17):
But that is a hot topic because that's you know
who knew that the president was even going to be
in Scotland alone.
Speaker 3 (05:21):
You're staying at his resort and you got to meet
the wind.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
There is something it's like you see his hair.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
His hair is a little scouseoled and winding.
Speaker 3 (05:30):
Trump too.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
You're away from America, you're in Scotland and you meet
a group of eight guys from the state of Ohio.
Speaker 3 (05:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (05:36):
I mean that's so random.
Speaker 3 (05:38):
So that was my hot topic.
Speaker 2 (05:39):
We have about thirty seconds left before the break, but
I'll tell you real quickly. I was saying this to Mindy.
My hot topic was, what do you think is the
most stressed out city in the country?
Speaker 3 (05:49):
What would you guess the most New York?
Speaker 2 (05:51):
Detroit. I could see Detroit, according to this latest study
that's out. What is the Ohio city that's the second
most stressed out in the country.
Speaker 3 (06:01):
Let's say Cleveland.
Speaker 2 (06:02):
Yes, really, it is one spot behind Detroit.
Speaker 3 (06:07):
So Wallet, oh my god.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
Wallet Hub, which a lot of people know for data
on economics and things like that. It's been cited for
you and I and many news stories over the years,
generated a composite score for each city by examining multiple categories,
including stress rates for work, health, safety, family life and
financial stress.
Speaker 3 (06:25):
I believe.
Speaker 2 (06:26):
Second, what's going on in Cleveland.
Speaker 1 (06:28):
I just think there's it's just clevel. Well, they have
to deal with the Browns first of all. I don't know,
but I think in Ohio City, I think of Cleveland
being stressed out.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
I think Columbus has developed and has continued to have
its eye on the ball for the future. Cleveland, I
think things are a little different when it comes to
city planning and things up there. That's my take from
having known a little bit about it.
Speaker 1 (06:52):
Well, the video I just shows you from down at
Cincinnati last night, that's pretty stressful.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
Columbus is probably the better choice of the three, I think.
Speaker 4 (06:59):
So.
Speaker 2 (07:00):
I think we're in the right spot because we're here too. Yeah,
we are here too. Lots to come, including Kosai. We
have some ticket giveaways to Kosai after Dark, Science of
ice Cream and VIP tickets to Kosai including unofficial Galaxies.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
And if anyone wants to call Mikayla up and say
happy birthday, by all means do it six one four
eight two one nine eight eighty six. We're going to
celebrate a birthday for the next month.
Speaker 3 (07:23):
Hey, will I be able to handle it? This is
what matters
