Speaker 1 (00:03):
What matters? Is it starting now? Mikayla just walked into
the studio and the first thing Boots said to you
is you look tan. You look good.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
I said, thanks, I am tan, I said, but it's
a spray tan because that's where we are in the
warm less summer months, false fall.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
Oh my gosh, it's going to be eighty next weekend.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Marcus did tell me that, so this tan can stick
around for a while, I.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Said, Boots, Mikayla, does it the safe way I do it,
or it's like skin cancer way. I'm out in the
sudd all. If you get my face.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
There you go. Who knows what's in the fakes? Well,
there's like d h A or ah. What do you say?

Speaker 1 (00:42):
What you say?

Speaker 2 (00:43):
Did you say camp camp La June about the water? Great?
You think those zempic This is where it gets interesting,
the ladies.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
If you're going to talk, why don't you get onto
my mic?

Speaker 2 (00:58):
Yeah? Because here he's got to go potty.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
I know, but he's trying to talk to us while
on the radio.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
All you're on right now, Mark Marcus has taken a
GLP one for a minute.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
I know. It just scares me, but that's why I'm okay.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
For millions of dollars in lawsuits because of those.

Speaker 3 (01:12):
It's coming out too, because.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
But also it's showing really help with inflammation and heart
stuff that's going on. So maybe it's your body chemistry
and how it reacts with the medicine, just like anything.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
For my double oblasion, and it took thirty pounds off
like that and got my heart under control. Jop did, well,
whatever it is that's shot in about so he was it. Yeah,
so I lost weight otherwise, but I still on it. No,
I just did it till I took off what they wanted.
My doctor had it all planned out, he says. I
don't if it's good for you or not, but your
heart's ready to blow up anyway, so we might as
well do that's to get you under control.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
Well, the ladies that we have on wrong with us,
I'm sure they don't like it. The Avenue Wellness centered
know they have seen so many people come in with
side effects from it, so they really strongly advise people.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
Now here's another thing. Eat half portions.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
That's it.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
Half portions. That's how I lost so much.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
People say, fast, half portionate. I just had this conversation
this morning I did.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
Don't eat the whole potato, eat half a hot dog,
eat half of those.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
Don't eat till you get full.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
Yeah, don't don't eat because mom tells you to clean
your plate.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
Clean plate club. I know, Well, that's interesting. I would
believe the ladies from the avenue would not like it,
and I know people who do. Say it's good for
some conditions because you're singing Kelly Clarkson. I mean, and
people look good.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
But you know what time will tell.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
Time will tell you.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
Just see time will your wife, and don't have anybody else.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
Judge you, but wo won't keep you from the potty.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
I'm okay, I'm already, Lencoln.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
He's not to my sisters. Go see my sister and
say hi, I doll for me. He likes my family
more than me.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
Who doesn't?

Speaker 1 (02:45):
Who doesn't?

Speaker 2 (02:45):
He said, So, were you at the lake or no?

Speaker 1 (02:49):
I turned in, drove forty five minutes in, and then
you're going to go back up.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
I'm gonna meet Cammy and Randy at Roosters right up
the road on Sawmill. Oh yeah, after the game or
after the game, after our show, and then I'll head
back to the lake because it's supposed to be really
nice tomorrow. Like did you see the extended forecast for
next week?

Speaker 2 (03:06):
I haven't really looked closely.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
Sunshine every single day, and we're creeping back up to
around eighty degrees.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
I say that seventy six is Michaela weather. So oh,
it's Mikala weather. Yep.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
Is that gorgeous?

Speaker 2 (03:18):
That's one great boat rides for you and Audians at
Indian Lake. Indian Summer and Indian Lake right. I've been
hearing people call it false fall. And someone said, is
that because we're not supposed to say Indian? I said, no,
I just that wasn't for me. I call it Indian
summer or false fall. I'll do both.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
I'll always call it Indian Summer. And I always hope
that Indian Lake, now that we have a little place there,
never changes. Their name always will stay Indian Lake. They're
very proud of the Native Americans you go throughout India
Lake and their statues of Indians all over the place,
very much so.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
Well, you know, I come from a Lina country and
I was there when they switched out the chief no
more chief in lineaway and they were very ceremonial of
the Chief Chief a line, I wic so would they.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
Replace it with I don't think.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
There is a replace. Let's google this, I mean, and
we're playing the line. I apparently have a pretty good
football team this year, and that's what I've heard. So
that Ohio State game over Memorial Stadium should be interesting.
But I don't know.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
Alna is kind of a fake pretender sometimes. I think
I think the it's Illinois. I think it'll always be
Illinois Footballina mascot.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Let's see, they still don't have an official mascot.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
Really. Yeah sad.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
My grandma loved the Chief. She had one of these
right here on kind of the door to her house,
like the little breezeway. And yeah. So in two thousand
and five he was designated as a hostile or abusive mascot.
I mean, I think he was one of the originals
that this happened to. I really do. Oh five, and
you were there then, yeah, I was there. We came

(04:54):
in O seven. So I remember covering like I was
at the Board of Trustees meeting in Champagne and covering.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
That was there a big uproard. A lot of people
wanted to stay.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
So there were some Native Americans in Illinois who were like,
this is wrong, and that's who I remember coming to
the meeting and kind of sitting in the meeting. But
there were so many people also who knew how respected
Chief the liner Wick was and didn't want it to change.
But board of Trustees, I remember that man that seems

(05:24):
like a haven't replaced him. So I thought there had
been a replacement, but apparently not by the way.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
The Bengals beat the Browns seventeen to sixteen.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
Well, Aaron Rodgers finally started doing something for the Steelers
before I left. So game the Jets, so but I
think they came they were back on top finally they
hadn't been before I left. Chris or the Steelers still winning?
Do you know?

Speaker 4 (05:51):
I'm not sure.

Speaker 5 (05:52):
The only thing I saw was that Justin Fields and
Garrett Wilson connected for a touchdown. Oh okay, so and
I have them in fantasy.

Speaker 4 (05:59):
So I was.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
Hapyler are up thirty four, Jets thirty two?

Speaker 2 (06:02):
No kidding, Oh that's the final? So there do. Chris
was in a terrible mood when I came out.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
Now, So are you glad, as your family, your household
glad that NFL's back. Are you more college football family
or NFL family.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
NFL.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
I knew you were going to say that.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
Yeah, Marcus, you know, because he didn't go to an
Ohio State, right, You guys are definitely more college football fan.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
Yeah. I really don't care about the NFL. I really don't.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
I like to follow former buck Eyes to see that
they do well in the NFL. But I'm really I
like to see both Cincinnati do well and.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
And the Browns do well.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
You're a people, you can't you have to like the
Browns of the Bengals. I'm like, I'm really not a
fan of either, but I'd like to see them both.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
Can't you do whatever you want?

Speaker 1 (06:43):
You can do whatever you know how I live. I
pretty much lived my life like that. Chris, what about you?
Are you more college football or NFL?

Speaker 4 (06:51):
I like both? So I've grown up a Buckeye and
you got to discriminate. Now, I've grown up a Buckeye
and a Kentucky Wildcat fan.

Speaker 5 (06:59):
Oh, and then growing up my mom is a Browns fan,
but she doesn't like the Browns anymore.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
Because of somebody.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
Oh you can say Watson.

Speaker 4 (07:11):
Yeah, I mean, well, I don't blame her.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
I think there's a lot of people who feel that way.
What a waste of money?

Speaker 2 (07:18):
Ding ding ding. Wow.

Speaker 4 (07:22):
So yeah, I just kind of just watched the NFL
except for the Cowboys. Can't stand though.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
That's like America's team.

Speaker 4 (07:27):
I cannot stand Jerry Yan.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
Did you see there is a oh one of those
things on Netflix, A biography.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
I want to watch it.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
I started watching it last week, I mean finished watching.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
It about the Cowboys. Is it good?

Speaker 1 (07:41):
But I always loved Troy Aikman, Like I was a
huge crush.

Speaker 2 (07:46):
On back in the day.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
If I could have met anybody, it would have been
Troy Aikman.

Speaker 4 (07:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
I just thought he was so cute and grated football.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
I just realized they just have such a dynamic history
with so many of the people. Whether you don't like
Jerry Troy, I mean, gosh, so many people involved with that.
So I do want to watch it, but Marcus doesn't
want to watch it, which I think is strange being
from Dallas.

Speaker 1 (08:10):
Yeah that is. Did you watch The buck Eyes?

Speaker 2 (08:12):
I did watch No, I did not watch The buck Eyes,
but it was seventy two. Yeah, I like turned it
on and I was like, I need to clean out
some stuff for these moms. That are coming to visit
us soon, and so I didn't. I think I listened
to it maybe a little on my headphones, but I watched.

Speaker 1 (08:26):
The beginning and then how much of that can you
really continue to watch? You know? It was just a
beat down?

Speaker 2 (08:31):
Do they? So? Is does it work this way? That
Grambling states they get a million bucks a million bucks,
and so you get a million bucks to get beat
by the bucks, to get beat by the bucks, And
so why why traditionally do these programs do that just
to have like an easier plan.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
To seasonally is kind of a warm up to begin
the season. Although when Ohio State played Texas, that's so rare.
You don't see a game at that magnitude normally the
first week of the season. But look at the matchups yesterday.
There really wasn't anything at that magnitude yesterday at all either.
I mean, you're having the powerhouse teams play lower level teams.
You want to say something, Chris.

Speaker 4 (09:09):
It looks like you are, oh no, no, do you
agree with that? Oh? I agree? Except for maybe Oklahoma Michigan.
I think that would be oh.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
That so yeah, And who ended up winning that last night?
I don't know, but I know it must have been
a real great game that it had.

Speaker 1 (09:23):
Michigan had to win, otherwise I'm sure we would have
heard about it or it would have been all over
all of our Twitter fea and whatever.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
Well, here's what I will say. I honestly feel, and yes,
those of you who are NFL fan sue me, there's
too much NFL now, Like I feel like Thursday, Friday, Saturday,
Sunday is too much NFL.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
Because my gosh, the Sooners did win Oklahoma long what
they beat Michigan twenty four to thirteen really doesn't matter.
It just doesn't matter this early early, but wow.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
Yeah, I feel like it could take away from family time.
And I think my husband is mild compared to Mo
because he really just loves the Steelers, but he plays
fantasy like everybody else does. And I just think that
that's too much football, Like when I was watching it
in Brazil on Wednesday night and I was like, let's
take the dogs for a walk. I don't need to
watch the NFL on Thursday night.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
You know, you bring up such a good point when
I gosh, when coach Trussell was here, and I was
even before those days when I was such a big
Buckeye fan. It literally would take up my world and
it would change my mood if they lost. I was
so much invested, especially when coach Trussell was here because
he was my friend. But now I'm not quite as

(10:37):
invested as I used to be. And it's nice to
have a life again. And I think to myself, I
can't believe I was so hook line and sinker. And
it's not like I don't love the Bucks. I do,
It's just not my world anymore. I don't have to
be a high state football fan twenty four to seven.
I don't have to watch every single second of every game.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
It controlled me. I felt like, that's an interesting confession
if you will, because I guess it did. And so
when he left, because you guys were tight from Youngstown, right,
is that why you invested yourself and you were.

Speaker 1 (11:14):
I was a huge, huge Buck I've fan before Trust
got the Trust got the job, then it just magnified
even more. I'll never forget when he called when he
got the job, before he even made the official announcement
to the media, he called me up and said, wake up, mindy,
we have recruiting to do. And I'm like, oh, my gosh,
I'm going to be friends with Ohio States head coach.
That's more important to being friends of the President of

(11:35):
the United States. Like it was such a cool feeling, yes,
And then the way he ended his career here, I
was ticked off. So I really I wasn't all gung
ho with Ohio State football anymore. I think he got shafted.
I really do. And as much as Urban Meyer won,
I've never been that big of an Urban Meyer fan.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
I knew that.

Speaker 1 (11:56):
So it is what it is. I love Ohio State
that my daughter plays softball there. I look back at
how controlling I it was to my life, your life. Yeah,
I'm glad that I'm not that person anymore. It's nice
to have another life. Wow.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
And she didn't even have to pay one hundred and
fifty two hundred bucks for that therapy. I mean just
now can like release it.

Speaker 1 (12:16):
But I think the older you get to, you realize
what there's other important things, you know, And when Kylon
and Cameron start playing ball on game day Saturdays, what
am I going to do? Go watch a high state football,
Go watch my kids pray their own sport. So everything changes.
I love the bucks and I always want a high
state to do well. Heck, my daughter played softball for
them for four years in the university.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
You're always going to.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
Like, always going to be them. I'm just not. I
don't have to watch every single second, and I'm not
going to base my mood on twenty some year old
young men who are playing a game, and I would
give them full support. I love that they're so into
Christianity anymore. I love that part of it.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
So those of you who watch the NFL Wednesday through Sunday,
bear that in mind. Just bear that in mind. That's
good advice, mind you.

Speaker 1 (13:00):
Yeah, we'll see do have.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
We don't even have anything, dear, said the busier said,
than done. But we don't have any sports stuff coming
up today, do we? No, we don't know.

Speaker 1 (13:07):
But my hot topic, yes, has to do with a
sports fan, a woman at a Phillies game.

Speaker 2 (13:13):
You tell got Phillies carrot? Oh yeah, oh yeah, that's
gonna be hot topics. So we'll do that here in
a second.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
Well, we got a lot coming up, though, we do.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
We're gonna have in the five o'clock hour, we have
a giveaway, actually a Columbus Fashion Week two tickets valued
at fifty dollars for those of you who are fashion.

Speaker 1 (13:30):
Forward fashion Nista.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
We will talk a little bit about what's been going
on with the Columbus Fashion Council and why this is
so important to Columbus. We have Tattletale coming up here
in a few minutes.

Speaker 1 (13:39):
Too, Tattletale. Finally I installed my Tattletale alarm, and Brian Hess,
the owner of Tattletale, is so proud. He's like, this
is a great example of people who invest into Tattletale
and let it sit for so long because they think
it's so hard to install.

Speaker 2 (13:56):
But it's not. It's so easy.

Speaker 1 (13:57):
So we're gonna I'm embarrassed that it took me this
long to do.

Speaker 2 (14:00):
We're gonna break it down. But first, yes, phillies Karen,
which how can I mean if you have missed this headline?
Sometimes Mindy and I don't see the same things. But
I have seen this, and I have talked about this.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
It's all over, so all over.

Speaker 2 (14:13):
So if you have an opinion on phillies, Karen, give
us a call six one four eight two one nine
eight eight six six one four eight two one at WTVN.
