Speaker 1 (00:00):
This studio just got upgraded. Boots leaves and then comes
a Randy Cord of Cracks ran.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Good afternoon, Mindy ma.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
Or my sister Mollie has co hosted with me? Kylon's
co hosted with me. Kimmy's been on with me before.
You've been on with me before, but I don't think
you've ever co hosted with me.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
No.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
I like you to do all the talking and I
like to listen.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
So hey, Boots, come here. Boots is walking around the
studio real fast. The first thing Randy said to me,
because he heard you and I doing the show before. Unraw,
he said, was Boots really going that fast?

Speaker 2 (00:38):
She don't shut up. She made it sound like there
was people all around. It was just her and eye
or no traffic.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
Yeah right, and she's blown out before. How fast have
you gone in a car?

Speaker 3 (00:48):
I don't younger a little faster, But now that I've aged,
you know, I like to leave early and just cruise casually.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
He does.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
He's always on time. If you're the type of person
who's always organized, always on time, you have to dot
your eyes, you have to cross your t's. That's my husband, Randy.
That is the complete opposite me.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
Yeah, you guys got this.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
Okay, that's why we work well together. Your weakness is
my strength and vice versa.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
I think, but don't you think opposites a tract sometimes,
But you can go now, thanks, But it does work
because Randy and I are so many things we are
the opposite on, but there's other things that we oh boos. Yeah,
Randy's nice. That's not very nice, is it.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
I'll let you handle that with him.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
So Randy's gonna co host with me for the next
two hours. And there's a reason for it. And I
am so excited about this little announcement, and Randy's like,
why are you putting it out there? It's not that
big of a deal. In my heart, I think it
is a big deal. We won't tell people exactly what
it is just yet, but I do think it's a
big deal.

Speaker 3 (01:59):
Yeah, it'll be different lifestyle and the winter from the
last couple of years.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Okay, that's all we want to say. We want to
tease people, So just a minute, we're going to be
talking about different things. And also right now, since we
have a little more time in our lives since our
daughter just got done graduating from Ohio State and playing softball.
We have a little more time. So I went to
social media and I simply asked people what the difference is,

(02:24):
because we're thinking about getting just a teeny little something
along the waterways a lake that's in Ohio. I don't
want to go too far. You don't want to go
too far. You grew up going to Lake Erie all
the time with your dad and your family, right, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
We did a lot of fishing while iyem perch fishing
with dad. He loved the lake, and then when mom
passed away, he sold the boat. And that's kind of
the last time I've really been up to Lake Erie
that much.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
So we thought, you know what, we've got the time, now,
let's invest in something. So I simply asked on one
of my social media pages, on one of my Facebook pages,
what is the between Buckeye Lake Indian Lake? Apple Valley
we hear about? And then my sister told us about Candlewood.
You and I went there yesterday, had never really heard
of Candlewood before. It's different, don't you.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
Think it is.

Speaker 3 (03:14):
Everybody's got an opinion, but I think I will choose
from one of the others.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
Yeah, so we're going to talk about that a little
later in the show, we want you to call in
and tell us your opinions on different lakes, different lifestyles
around the lakes. But I am floored with how many
people here in our great state of Ohio actually do this.
They have a second little property, or they just pack
up everything and move to the waterways. They moved to
the lake. So we do want your opinions on that

(03:41):
as well. We are going to be giving away a
one hundred dollars gift certificate to an AIRB and B
in the state of Ohio. And you know, you and
I travel so much with Cammi softball, and we've done
it all of our lives with Kylan's baseball, travel ball
as well, and also AAU basketball tournaments. We mostly stay
in hotels, but we started a branch into Airbnb's and verbos.

(04:05):
It's part of our lifestyle.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
All right.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
I actually enjoyed it. This was the first year I've
done one. When we went to Michigan State with a
couple of our good friends bu Wick's.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
Yeah, Jody was listening.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
She still might be listening if you want to say Hi.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
I saw Jody back home from Myrtle Beach, which we'll
be going to in a couple of weeks.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
But I liked it because I'm a bigger guy.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
I like open areas, and sometimes in a lot of
the hotels it's kind of tight, and so I really
enjoyed it and probably would do it again.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
So keep listening. You could be a winner of a
one hundred dollars gift certificate to an Ohio Airbnb. Doctor
Burtlee will be in studio giving away co site tickets.
He's one of your favorite listeners, you know. As a
good husband, Randy listens to every every show, every single Sunday,
don't you.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
After many threats, I decided to give in after.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
Many threats and I go home when I quiz them,
did you hear this? Did you hear that? But honestly,
doctor Burtley is one of your faves.

Speaker 3 (04:58):
I like doctor Burdy, great personality, and obviously we've been
in Columbus for a long time and been to Kosai
and that, and so I really enjoyed that segment.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
You know, It's funny. Randy and I went to church
this morning we do every Sunday, and then we get
a home from church and I get a text from
our good friend David Meckler, and he says, hey, neat
article on your daughter Cammy in the Dispatch today, And
I didn't know what he was talking about. Did you
know at first he was talking about I did not,
So the Dispatch put an article out there today on
the top Columbus area influencers, and she was right there,

(05:32):
her face with these three other people, and they actually
did a nice story on how her gosh, I guess
you'd call it her name, image and likeness, how it
has blown up ever since her freshman year as a
Buckeye softball player. Are you surprised that Cammy is considered
one of Columbus's biggest influencers.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
No, because she had a great personality. I remember taking
her to a travel ball tournament in Colorado and people
were like, hey, there's a girl in TikTok. And I
was like, man, we're out Colorado and people know who
she is from TikTok, And I start thinking, Wow, that's
pretty impressive.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
Yeah, And I think a lot of people did follow her,
not just for you know, being a good softball player
and a good human, but because they enjoyed her post
because she never took her life and her experience at
Ohio State too. Seriously, she would make fun of herself.
She would do these dance.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
Videos, right.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
I remember we'd share a hotel room because we traveled
a lot. You'd take Kylin or Cameron and I'd take
the other.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
Divide and conquer. Don't you have to do that parents,
when you have kids involved in all different things, Divide
and conquer?

Speaker 2 (06:35):
So, yeah, Randy, absolutely.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
So I'd be trying to take a nap in between games,
and she'd be doing all kinds of crazy stuff, trying
to make tiktoks. I'd be like, can you settle down
so I can catch a nap? But she would try
everything in the room.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
And she put you on more videos than me for sure.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
Well, can you blame her?

Speaker 1 (06:54):
Yeah, I can kind of blame her.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
She wanted views, didn't she right?

Speaker 1 (06:59):
Exactly views, lots of them. And at the end of
the show, we have such a special presentation. There is
a young lady who is fighting brain cancer. She's got
a tumor in her brain. And Benjay, who is a
CEO president of WARM in Westerville, the Westerville Area Resource Ministry.
He's done a great job there. He hasn't even had

(07:20):
the job. I don't think for a year, maybe just
a little over a year, and he has arranged a
surprise for her. So little Sydney, she's not that little,
but Sydney is going to be in studio with her
parents with a great, awesome gift that Benjay has organized
and arranged for her. So, you, guys, we have so
much to talk about and share with you coming up

(07:40):
next though, after this break. The reason why Randy, my
better half, and I can say that is in studio.
He doesn't think it's a big deal. I think it's
a pretty big deal and it's going to give us
something new to do, because honestly, I didn't know what
we were going to do. Now that came in. Season's over,
I'm like, oh my gosh, what are we gonna do
with all of our time? Well guess what now we know.

Speaker 2 (08:02):
That's for sure.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
So keep it right here. You're gonna find out what
that surprise is and you'll get to follow along too.
I'll leave it there, so thanks so much for tuning
in to guys, to our story guys, or to our
station today. You've got me all tongue tied, Randy, You
do that to me after all these years of marriage
dated for six years, now married for twenty six years,

(08:24):
and he still gets me all tongue tied. So keep
it right here. We'll be right back after the break
