Speaker 1 (00:00):
Back in to what matters. Mindy is on a flight home.
So Maria Durant is in today, and you know what
you've you've been keeping yourself more than busy with your
new gig.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Yeah, it's been it's been a good it's it's been good.
I've gotten some sleep, so there's none of this, you know,
on the weekend, being at the station at two am.
So that's a nice thing. So let me let me
knock on wood.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Because you never know. The Franklin County Sheriff's office, so
you run communications there the communications director. Is that correct?

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Yes, that is. I have a good team.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
You have a good team, and you know plenty about
the next subject that we're going to talk about when
it comes to community safety. You are learning, learning, yes,
and you've been on the job for how long now?

Speaker 2 (00:47):
It has been almost two years? Not quite.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
I can't believe it's been almost two years, year and
a half. So well, we have our resident safety and
security expert, Brian Hess, the founder, inventor CEO of Tattletale
Portable Alarm Systems, on the phone. Brian, are you really
in Germany? Are you in Florida? Where are you today?

Speaker 3 (01:11):
I'm at Disney World in Germany. There.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
Ah, okay, are you with your grandkids today?

Speaker 3 (01:22):
No? No, no, I'm on a date. But I'm at
the beer garden where any good German would be this
time of day.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
Any good German would be there. I love it that
you allowed me to call you on your date. That's
thank you for that.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
Well, I heard you had something important to say. What
is it?

Speaker 1 (01:40):
I know I've said Maria, I said, Maria is a
great person to talk to Brian, given what Brian does
with Tattletale. We're talking a little bit about community crime,
community safety and all of the products that you have.
And I mentioned to Maria. You know she's now with
two years under her Well, you've seen a lot within

(02:01):
Franklin County. Do you think a lot of people Maria
and and Brian have alarms? Like you both have different
perspectives on this. What do you what's your knowledge? What
are your thoughts of how many people actually have an
alarm on their house?

Speaker 2 (02:14):
I think they do. I think they should and I
know that we have one, and I think of I
think of it as more a peace of mind more
than anything. Yeah, you know, whether you know, if you
believe your neighborhood is extremely safe. I just think it
only takes one time and just to have that peace

(02:35):
of mind. I think it's a good thing.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
Brian.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
Do you think that many people have it? What do
you hear when you're out talking to folks.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
I don't think that many people have them because it's
it's going to do it your self mode. It's not
in portable mode. And once and once you get done
telling them about being portable and unbeatable, they'll probably go
home and plug one in right away and they can
know to go way up high. So most people don't

(03:03):
get hassled by something until something happens, and that's just
go ahead.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
No, no, no, I I totally agree, And now I
think that people should have them because for me, I
think it's more of a piece of you know, it's
peace of mind, but you are right, a lot of
times it's it is kind of out of side, out
of mind until it really impacts you.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
Yeah, And that's what I enjoy being a part of
is preventing that. So our one of our trademarks is
stay safe. So if you look at a lot of
the ads that go around, they scary into get in
the system. Nobody likes to be afraid, and I promote
just plug this in and stay safe. And my favorite
thing about a community is when I walk into my house,

(03:46):
I know there's nobody there because I got a tattle
telling there, and you know, it's nice. It's like, if
I don't set it, I get nervous when I come
on my drink. And now why didn't I have this on?
Because I'm walking into a space. There could be somebody
in here. Not that I live in a bad neighborhood
or anything, but it's just a matter of feeling safe,

(04:07):
you know, feeling safe, feeling good. It's all the same thing.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
The ease of it, Brian, because Maria hasn't had a
chance to talk to you before, you know, and she's
kind of looked at me, like, plug it in, tell
me more exactly, So tell her and goes listening a
little bit more about the ease of installation and why
it's different than other products.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
Well, if you look at other products, they require a
door sensor or an indoor motion. They require something to
talk to something and then when that happens, you can
generate alarm system signal. I like the idea of nothing
needing anything. You just plug this in and everything's built in.

(04:51):
You don't need any sensors because it's got to build
in motion, strobe and siren. And if you make it undefeatable,
then I could just start with that and be happy
with that. And then if I get in the mood,
I can buy a smoke detector. If I got a dog,
it'll call the fire department if it's not armed. And
then if I want to get crazy with it, I

(05:12):
can go up to ninety five censors inside or outside.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
So I like the.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
Options, but just getting starts. Just plug it in and
forget it. I mean, that's that's what's cool.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
Yeah, that's that's really easy.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
Yeah, and then you can and then you can take
it somewhere. So like you can't believe how many people
buy for a job site. We make a commercial model.
Guy bout an eighty thousand dollars system. He leaves it
wherever the last job site was, and he is to
know it's portable, so people don't even think portable, like
go here, go there, move here, go anywhere he wants,

(05:50):
and take it with you and be six. So you
don't think about taking alarm system mobile.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
You take it on vacation.

Speaker 3 (05:58):
Well, I'm building a you could put your back pocket
and take on a vacation. But that's the true portable
and I think that's going to crack the egg for
the whole market.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
Now, that's pretty interesting.

Speaker 4 (06:11):
Yeah, Ryan, when you said that, which we've talked to
in the portable version, where do we think in the
next six months?

Speaker 1 (06:18):
What's your timeline? Now do you have an updated one.

Speaker 3 (06:22):
I'm going to introduce that on demand GPS bucket. The
good guys cruise. Let boots get on the radio and
talk to all this.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
Target go oh yeah, because obviously there's a talk about
a mobile reason something that you're taking to some of
these things. Yeah, and then really commercial sites. I mean
that is that how you started, Brian, Right like this
started commercial and then went over to the residential area.

Speaker 3 (06:44):
Ultimately, it's a funny but true story. We almost went
out of business, what guys, Yeah, Yeah, when we first started,
we almost went out of business. I couldn't believe it myself.
We were heads and shoulders of everybody on any any
level they want to play on. But this construction company

(07:05):
that rented mobile trailers to job sites gave us our
start and that's why we made outdoor sensors. And that's
why we're known for job sites. I mean, that's that's
how we cut our teeth and that's what rescued us.
And that's pretty much what happens. You know, you built something,
you think it's going to be good for this, and

(07:26):
some other market picks it up and saves you. Mm hmm. Well,
but we're good for about anything, you know, home or commercial.
But the thing we're talking to you about, michaelis saying
that Jesus not telling you can flip it upside down
and use it for a panic button and get cops
anywhere you are in the middle of the neighborhood.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
Absolutely, I mean there's many Yeah, you could do a
few things, Yeah, yeah, truly, Brian, just a couple other things.
And Marie, I wanted your perspective on this too, you know,
with your work with the Sheriff's office, what are some
of the more prevalent crimes we see in the Franklin
County area.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
I'm just curious, you know, in the county, in the city,
and just like across across the country. Really you do
see those construction site you know, robberies, you know, thefts
and stolen cars. You know that still continues to be
a big one across the across the.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
Nation, including right here at home, including right here at home,
and for cars. This new product, right, Brian, from what
you're alluding to, is going to be great for a
car situation. Right.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
I love this legal terms alluding.

Speaker 1 (08:43):
To if only I was an attorney, if only.

Speaker 3 (08:49):
Listen, if you did the perimeter and your good inside
or outside wherever you are, whether it's a home or
job site, and then you have something smart enough to
go and get you know, all the police to pull
it over. Don't go to the job site. It's going
up twenty three North. Pull it over. It doesn't matter
whether it's a car or bulldozer. The real key is

(09:09):
is can you make something that's perimeter proof and we'll
also track something on demand in real time and pull
it over. So we make this thing called the puck,
and it's called the on demand GPS puck, and it's
the only thing that'll get the cops involved and pull
over anything anywhere.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
Now that's real time where you're tracking it, yeah.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
With the police. So instead of having an air tag
and maybe getting lucky or not lucky, this has got
performance attached to it like an expectation. So he's about
somebody being kidnapped, or you think of a car or
motorcycle or just about anything. But you know, when you
look at alarm systems today, they're all defeatable, I hate

(09:58):
to tell you that. And they just handle a little
you know, inside gig somewhere. But if you can handle
the outside and do a wireless perimeter and the inside,
you'd be one up. If you are smart enough not
to send the cops to the job site and make
them go down the road and pick up what's being stolen. Whoever,

(10:19):
your customers is going to be happy that you're smart
enough to send the cops where it matters. Do you
hear that where it matters?

Speaker 1 (10:26):
Where it matters, Brian, Because you're on what matters? Well, hey,
you're pretty good at it's pretty good, it is, right, So, Brian,
you have a lot of things coming up, but you
have a lot of foundational items as well. What is
the best place people can go to learn more about
your products?

Speaker 3 (10:45):
Go to tattletel t A t t L E t
l E dot com and just check it out and
you will either buy something higher performance so to do
twelve millions square feet with no wires, or you'll buy
something that'll do your home or ten thousand square feet.
One talks the ninety five censors for the home and
the other one does three hundred sensors. But it's really

(11:08):
about you can protect anything anywhere, anytime by plugging this in.
That's what it's about.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
And piece of mind. That's what matters. Brian Tattletale dot com.
Have a beer from Marie and I in Germany. Okay,
do over and out.

Speaker 3 (11:25):
Thank you very much.

Speaker 4 (11:26):
Thanks Brian has Brian is always great to talk to
again Germany from Germany in Disney, founder and CEO Tattletale
Portable Alarm Systems four almost four to forty Nine'll be
right back.

Speaker 1 (11:42):
With some good news. Does that sound good?

Speaker 2 (11:43):
That sounds fantastic.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
This is what matters on six ten WTV.
