Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome back on a Sunday. Mindy is on the road
in Myrtle and I'm back here at the studio and Mindy,
our friend is joining us this afternoon to talk all
things security.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
Brian has with Tattletale. Brian, I was just telling Mikayla
that I got to be here at North Myrtle Beach
for July fourth to see fireworks on the beach, and
I could not believe how much red, white and blue
there was everywhere, such a celebration of our awesome country.
Maybe because two hundred and fifty years, but there just
seemed to be an upscale of celebratory feelings here at
(00:38):
North Myrtle Beach. What about you, You're in Florida, right,
How was your fourth.
Speaker 3 (00:42):
It was great? They had fireworks on the lake and
there's a lot to be thankful for for this Fourth
of July.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
There is a lot, especially heading towards this two hundred
and fiftieth which will happen in July of next summer.
And you had a sale, Brian, I saw because it
kept popping up on my feeds. You you were celebrating
and have everybody celebrating with a little percentage off of
some of your devices.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
It looks like really, yeah, oh, you didn't even know
you're marketing people.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
You're marketing I go out of town and people take
the law into their own hands.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
Really yeah, right, Hey, if it works, it works.
Speaker 3 (01:23):
Well, how's it worked with having Michaela there by herself?
Is she taking the law in her own hands?
Speaker 1 (01:28):
It's it's dangerous. I need a Tattletale just for being
in this studio.
Speaker 3 (01:34):
You deserve a title tale.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
Let me tell you you know what though, Mikayla has
been commenting to me lately of how awesome your marketing
team has been, And I would say for companies who fail,
companies who see you have a great idea and you
want to create a business, you want to put something
out there. If you don't devolge a lot of time
and effort toward marketing, I don't think that company is
(01:58):
going to work. But I think you understand that. And
that's one of the reasons why Cattletale has been so successful.
Not just it is a great product, but you understand
the whole business of marketing and getting the word out
there to so more people know about it.
Speaker 3 (02:14):
Well, I'm investing in you, girls, That's the part of it,
isn't it us?
Speaker 1 (02:19):
And so many others You're I was selling Mindy your
Instagram feed. They've really been doing a great job of it.
But sometimes it's really hard to make the decision to
invest in marketing, Brian and business owners who are listing
those folks out there who have whether it's a small
business or something larger, they know it. What is so
important in making that decision? How do you decide to
go for it versus to kind of rein it back
(02:40):
in a little because I feel like sometimes people think
they don't need it.
Speaker 2 (02:44):
Yeah, the great question.
Speaker 3 (02:46):
You can advertise what you have or you're going to
advertise your business for sales. So I'd rather advertise you
advertise either.
Speaker 1 (02:55):
Way, advertise your business for sale.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
Mindy and I were just talking and a few minutes ago,
just about this awful flooding that has gone on throughout
the country, and we were discussing some of the products
you have for home, and it's really interesting your home
security products. You have quite a few on tattletale dot com,
but there is one that is a flood slash freeze
(03:20):
detector for your home and I was just looking at
it as we were having the conversation about flooding. This
thing looks wow, it does a lot high risk areas
like under syncs, toilets are near the hot water tank.
Speaker 3 (03:33):
Do you want one?
Speaker 1 (03:35):
I might? Yeah. I mean we've had our trouble with
toilets at our house, so that's what I will say when,
especially when you have it above like the basement area.
So yeah, I'm very curious about it. What is this thing?
How does this thing work? Is it a typical tattletale
or does is it standalone? What does it do?
Speaker 3 (03:55):
It's a little puck looking thing and you just set
it down somewhere I affectually called a water bug. They'll
let you know when you got water and you can spread.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
Them around and when it freezes too. I know we're
the absolute opposite end of that season, but so it
has freeze detection on it. How does it even do that?
Speaker 3 (04:18):
It's magic, Michael, It's not.
Speaker 2 (04:22):
I like the name of it, the water bug, but
it does sound like it would be needed a lot
because we all have different flooding issues. Really, I mean,
that's just you own a home, You're gonna have to
deal with stuff like that.
Speaker 3 (04:33):
Brian, That's what I love about you. Mindy, you're right.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
Oh, I love being right. But no, it's a great device,
I'm sure. I just I am not the best when
it comes to technology. I don't understand a lot of
things of how they work, and maybe I don't really
have to if I can trust it. But how does
that work? Initially? It just can read it.
Speaker 3 (04:59):
It's very difficult. You plug in the tattlete and you
take the water bug where you're afraid there might be water,
and you set the water bug down, and then you
just walk off and mind your own.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
Business and it connects to the tattletale.
Speaker 3 (05:10):
With no wires.
Speaker 1 (05:13):
Wow, but this is not You called it a puck shape,
and it is. But this is not the puck which
we are still waiting to drop. Correct. It is not
out yet.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
Electronics are done. The interface and how to create something
that works is where it lives, and it's not quite
finished in the back end app how it works and
feels and does just what you wanted to do. You know,
you gotta really work hard and pretend to be in
(05:47):
a situation to make something show up the way you
would want it to show up and work and not
have any guesswork about it or confusion.
Speaker 2 (05:56):
Hey, you have to deal with that with employees too, Brian.
You never know they're going to work either.
Speaker 3 (06:02):
Well, you're just jumping around today. I kind of like that.
Fortunately for me, I've been blessed. Let me think about it.
I'm not there and they do a great job. I
mean I don't have to be there, which is amazing.
Speaker 1 (06:15):
Even running an Independence Day sale.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
Yes, exactly, Brian.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
Or mid folks. What the puck is going to do
once it comes out, it's pretty amazing.
Speaker 3 (06:28):
It is. It is an interesting product. By the way,
we got the trademark worldwide on on demand GPS Puck,
which is tough to do. You know, that's a blessing
from God. And what it's going to do is it's
going to hang out with you and it'll be your
best friend outside of diamonds and God or a husband
(06:49):
that can protect you, or a couple of bodyguards. So
when you're when you have one in your possession, no
matter what you're into, you won't be in alone and
it will instantly make you safe and we can dispatch
wherever you are, even if somebody puts in the back
of a trunk and they're driving around with you.
Speaker 2 (07:08):
So do you press so if there anything on the market,
I'm sorry, Mikayla, go.
Speaker 1 (07:12):
Ahead, Yeah, no, I was going the same direction. Is
there anything on the market like this? Which is mindy?
I think that's that's what you're asking. And do I
press a button when I have the puck on me? Like,
how does it actually like work?
Speaker 2 (07:24):
Otherwise?
Speaker 3 (07:24):
Well, you'll you'll hit a button and you'll hold it
down for three seconds. And then if you're in a
bad situation, the first thing is you'll get a confirmation
back that we know you're in peril, and then we'll
tap it, like you know phones vibrating in a certain rhythm.
We tap it and let you know that we're about
ready to pull you over. And then when you're in
(07:46):
a situation, if you ever are and you don't want
to be in it alone, it builds hope and then
it actually comes to conclusion where you're going to have
a result, and that is you're going to be saved.
Speaker 2 (07:59):
Hey, that's all. That's awesome. And I know we've been
talking about it a lot, but mcaelen, I do keep
wondering when it is going to be out there. But
like all of your merchandise with Tattletail, all of your items.
It is so simple to use. You just plug like
you'd like to call it plug and play.
Speaker 3 (08:15):
You know, Mandy, could you imagine charging something up and
being able to walk around with it and have it
never lose power and be like three years of power
stored so you can know the flashlight charge something up.
That's a neat thing. When you can use it, it will.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
Well, yeah, how often we have to charge our phones,
you know, and it's a pain in the butt to
be honest.
Speaker 3 (08:41):
Well, here's one more for you. You can walk around
with it and stand by what is or you can
walk or you can well stand by. It's kind of like, hey,
this thing's going to check in. I'll let somebody know
where I am and if I want to push a
panic it'll it'll go to work and initialize. But you
got instant combat mode, which means if you know you're
(09:01):
walking into a situation that might get a little crazy,
you can be an instant mode. Oh, I'll tell me cool.
Speaker 2 (09:10):
It's so cool, Brian.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
I'm gonna send my kids out into the world with
a puck. That's what I want to do. It might
be better than Live three sixty.
Speaker 2 (09:19):
Mendy just saying I know, and you know that's my
go to. I don't know what it would do with
that life three sixty. I think the puck maybe even
better than that.
Speaker 3 (09:29):
How does this all taket? We're dispatching to you, Mindy,
So that's the difference. So when people think about different things,
it's it's very incognito, but we're dispatching, so it's it's
police in real time, real police. Know. It's one thing
if you know where somebody is, but what are you
going to do about it? Absolutely?
Speaker 2 (09:50):
Yeah, No, that's true. That's true. Very good point before.
Speaker 1 (09:54):
We go, Brian, how does this all connect to pro
tattle tale? You were mentioning that to Mindy and I
what is that? What is pro tattletale?
Speaker 3 (10:03):
Well, pro is what you use when you want to
have high performance wireless. If you're looking for a half
a mile to one mile perimeter and three hundred censors,
that's PRO. This means high power the regular home model.
I don't know ten thousand square feet does any size house.
But when you make the puck go into the back
(10:26):
backwards in the design of the products, it's neat when
you can add it to an existing product line. So
if I had a tattle toe in my house. That's great.
Booby chop my motorcycle with a puck and it goes
down the road and they pull it over, that's great too.
So you want you want that combination.
Speaker 2 (10:48):
Brian, you just keep inventing these things and we'll just
keep talking about them and the consumers will just keep
buying them. I think it's just outstanding what you've done
and created. I really do. I give you so much
credit for what you started in some for Ohio well sake,
so that means a lot.
Speaker 1 (11:03):
I appreciate that tattletale dot com is where you can
go check out all of the products because there's a
lot there. Before we wait for this puck to drop.
And Brian, when we talk to you next time, I
know you'll be even a little closer. So thanks for
coming on today.
Speaker 3 (11:18):
I'll bring one to the studio for you.
Speaker 2 (11:21):
You know, Mikayla likes saying that we're waiting for the
puck to drop. You know, she's a hockey mom. She
just loves saying that.
Speaker 3 (11:28):
Well, MICHAELA, the puck stops here.
Speaker 2 (11:30):
Ah, there you go.
Speaker 1 (11:34):
Brian has with portable Tattletale portable alarm systems with that
portable puck, the puck. I am waiting for it to drop.
