Following a gut-wrenching 2024 campaign, and a lot of swings and misses for big-name Free Agents, a lot needed to go right for the Blue Jays in 2025. So they just kept finding ways to win ball games. And as the Yankees ended their season on a tear, Canada's Team had to win out in order to clinch their first AL East title since 2015. That's precisely what they did, capping off a sweep of the Rays with a commanding 13-4 victory at Rogers Centre. And as long as their season has a heartbeat, they will have home-field advantage, potentially throughout the World Series if they get that far. Their first big test, fittingly, is against those very same Bronx Bombers. In this special online edition of CFRA Live, technical producer Stephen Ellsworth analyzes the Blue Jays' path to October, and examines why any team can win it all in this crazy circus that is 2025.
The regular CFRA Live cast and crew will return sometime in the coming weeks. Have a question, comment, or topic suggestion? Send an email to cfralive@bellmedia.ca.

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist
It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
