It’s been nearly 2 weeks since American political activist Charlie Kirk was graphically shot and killed during a Utah speaking engagement. Social media reaction to Kirk’s assassination has been widespread and mixed, as the dark side of humanity has revealed itself through various forms of social media. In the midst of all that kerfuffle, late-night comedian Jimmy Kimmel criticized the Trump administration, and it wasn’t long until his longstanding talk show was abruptly yanked off the airwaves by ABC. Since then, reports have indicated that the network could be open to a Kimmel comeback, but only if he ‘turned the temperature down’.
