Hi everyone,
I’m a regular listener to the show – love you guys – and there’s been a few stories in the news lately about people who are struggling with the exact same debate that I am…should I be honest with friends and family about using Ozempic?
I’ve struggled with my weight my entire life so when this drug came along I spoke with my doctor and we agreed that I would try it. I have lost quite a bit of weight on it – and obviously my friends and family have noticed and asked me what I’m doing to lose weight. For whatever reason I haven’t’ felt comfortable telling them about using Ozempic because it can come with some judgement which I’d rather just avoid. I’ve been saying it’s just diet and exercise but I feel really guilty being dishonest – because some of them have spoken with me over the years about wanting to lose weight and we’ve commiserated together about how hard it is. I don’t know why but it feels like I’m cheating even though it’s had a positive impact on my cardiovascular health and self-esteem. Do you think I’m obligated to be honest about how I’ve lost the weight?
Thanks!
Franca
