41 years. The iconic Maxime's has made the decision that
they are going to close. They're selling the building and
the land. 41 years. First thing that will come to
mind for literally thousands of Winnipeggers. They will immediately think.

Of their grandmother. Maxime's and Grandma's got along very well.

So his parents, you would have been like just a
little kid, yeah? Yeah,

probably under 10, I would say around 5-ish when I
first started going there and that was for my birthday
and then I've taken my kids there. I still have
gift certificates and the reason why is because one of
my best friends who stays with me every summer leaves
me a gift certificate
before he leaves as a thank you and it's and

he goes there with his grandma. That's why he gets
the gift certificate.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
There you go. That's everything. That says everything right there. They're,
they're thinking of closing 3rd week of November everyone, so you
still have time to go and have that last meal
there and thank the family and be happy for them
because they're retiring. And in that business to get 41
years is almost impossible.

There are maybe 10 to 15 in Winnipeg that get
41 years. So this will be news and a buzz
to everybody, So
