Terry Gaspard, MSW, LICSW, a licensed clinical social worker with extensive experience in counseling and writing. The topic of Moving Past Divorce is a personal one for me – divorce goes back several generations in my family. Having experienced divorce in my own life, I have a keen understanding of how it can affect the inner lives of children and adults, and impact the kinds of choices they make. My first book, Daughters of Divorce, is about and for women who grew up in divorced homes, as they face unique vulnerabilities related to love, trust, commitment, and self-esteem.
My new book, The Remarriage Manual: How to Make Everything Work Better the Second Time Around, provides powerful real-life stories, action steps, and strategies for the millions of couples who are taking a chance on love in a remarriage and/or stepfamily. Grounded in 100 in-depth interviews of remarried people, it gives readers a clear road map to better relationship skills so they can build the happy second (or third) marriage they desire.
