(00:22):
Good evening. I hope that you'rehaving another blessed day in the Lord.
Today we are going to address theblessings of salvation. This is really important
to know because if you're like me, I want to know what's in my
spiritual bank account. In other words, I want to know what the Bible
has to say about my condition beforeGod. When you became a Christian,
(00:44):
there were many things that happened toyou, and sometimes it's easy to forget
those things, especially when you havea very stressful job, when you have
a very stressful life, when you'regoing through hardships, sometimes it's very easy
to get caught in negative thinking. But if you know anything about Romans chapter
twelve, the apostle Paul wants youto remember that our job. He wants
(01:08):
me to remember that, our jobis to continuously be transforming our minds by
reading scripture, renewing our minds throughthe Word, so that we can be
able to think more like Jesus. This is one hundred percent for given ministries,
exalting the truth no matter the cost. I really hope that this message
(01:30):
is a blessing to you. So, without further ado, let's go point
by point. I have seven points, and I just want to share scripture
with you. This is going tobe very simple. We're not going to
get too theological today. But nonetheless, if you're having a bad day and
you're a Christian, I want torefresh your heart with spiritual truths. First
(01:51):
thing is that you need to rememberthat you have been redeemed. You as
a child of God through faith andJesus Christ, have been redeemed. How
do I know that because of whatRomans three, verse twenty four says says
and all are justified freely, freely. I want to emphasize that by His
(02:15):
grace, through the redemption that cameby Christ Jesus. This redemption came by
Christ Jesus in for you, forme. It is free of charge because
it's by grace. Remember, beingsaved by grace means that you can't pay
(02:38):
God a darned thing. You havenothing to offer to God. All you
have to offer to God is yourhands. You lift your hands up to
Him and you say, Father, forgive me. I have sinned. I
need a savior, and that isJesus. You have been redeemed because God
loves you. The second thing, you have been reconciled to God Tewo Corinthians
(03:01):
five, verse nineteen to twenty one, that God was reconciling the world to
himself in Christ, not counting people'ssins against them, and he has committed
to us the message of reconciliation. It's important to know the Gospel is a
message of reconciliation verse twenty. Weare therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God
(03:23):
were making his appeal through us.We implore you, the apostle Paul says
to the Corinthian Church on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God. God made
him, who had no sin,to be sinned for us, so that
in him we might become the righteousnessof God. In Christ, you are
reconciled back to God. Remember Goddidn't have to do any of that for
(03:46):
you. God didn't have to doany of that for me. But nonetheless
he did that because He loves us. The third thing you need to understand
is that you have been forgiven.Romans three twenty five says God presented Christ
as a sacrifice of atonement through theshedding of his blood to be received by
faith. He did this to demonstratehis righteousness because in his forbearance he had
(04:10):
left the sins committed beforehand unpunished.Man, I don't know about you,
but when i have a day whereI realize that I'm not as spiritually strong
as I was the day prior,it is so good to know that I
have Jesus de lean on completely onehundred percent. The whole point of this
podcast is we are one hundred percentforgiven in Christ. Yes, there is
(04:35):
fellowship forgiveness. I believe that's expressedthrough the scripture, but when it pertains
to our eternal justification, our eternalforgiveness, all of that is one hundred
percent secure in Christ because of whatHe's done for you and for me.
So if you're having a bad day, if you just completely dropped the ball,
you need to remember that you areforgiven in Christ. Because of everything
(05:00):
that Christ has done for you,you have been delivered. That is the
next thing, the fourth thing.Colossians, Chapter one, verse thirteen says,
for he has rescued us from thedominion of darkness and brought us into
the kingdom of the Sun. Heloves. There was at one point you
and I were in the dominion ofdarkness, and He brought us into the
(05:24):
kingdom of the Son he loves. If you are a child of God through
faith in Jesus, you are apart of the Kingdom. Now, let's
be honest. There are many Christianstoday who are still living in the dominion
of darkness. They may not bethere positionally, they may be children of
God, but they are living asimmature Christians. They are living as carnal
(05:46):
Christians. Do not be that Christian. Remember, all of us will give
an account to God one day forthe way that we behave Christians and non
Christians. The next thing, thefifth thing, you need to know that
you're accepted. You need to knowthat you are accepted. Everything that you
have ever done in your life, everything you will do in the future,
(06:09):
everything, And I pause, andI let that word set everything. God
already knows. He knew what youwere gonna do yesterday before you did it.
He knows what you're gonna do tomorrow. But yet nonetheless he accepts you.
Why for God so love the world, he gave his only begotten son,
that whoever believes in Him will notperish but have eternal life period,
(06:30):
all because of what Jesus has donefor you. In the end of the
ending of the Gospel, John Jesussays it is finished. Period. Jesus
has paid your price. The sixththing you need to understand is that you
have been justified. You have beendeclared righteous before God. All of your
sins, everything you owe to Godhas been wiped away Rummich Chapter three,
(06:53):
verse twenty four. Again, andall are justified freely by His grace through
the redemption that came by Christ.Jesus. Your justification was a free gift
given to you. It was notgiven to you because of the good works
that you did. You do notkeep your position of justification because of the
(07:15):
good works that you continue to doday in and day out for the glory
of Jesus. You don't keep yourjustification because of something that you do.
You are justified, You are sealedwith the Holy Spirit forever because of what
Jesus has done for you. That'sit. When we stand before God,
we are not going to be ableto stand before him and say God,
(07:39):
I am in a position because Iaccepted Jesus. Oh and I also went
to church on Sunday. Oh Ialso served on this committee. Oh I
also did this ministry. Oh Ialso studied my Bible every single night.
None of that all of that isrubbish. Without Jesus, we are nothing.
Without Jesus were nothing. And thelast thing, the last thing you
(08:03):
need to know for today is thatyou are glorified. You will be glorified
with the Lord. Those who hepredestined he also called. Those who he
called he also justified, and thosewho he justified, he also glorified.
This is one verse in the Bibleamongst many that gives you assurance, that
(08:24):
should give you assurance. You havebeen justified, and because you have been
justified, you will be glorified. There is going to be a day of
glorification. You were going to standwith Jesus. You were going to stand
in his glory. You were goingto stand in his righteousness because of everything
that He's done for you know thesethings, Remember these things. These are
(08:48):
promises that are given to you.I hope that that's encouraging to you.
If you're having a bad day, man, lift your head up, lift
your head up, keep on king. Remember that today is just today.
You're going to go to sleep andLord will and you're gonna wake up in
the morning and you're gonna be facedwith new trials and tribulations. That's just
(09:09):
how it is. That's the samething that's gonna happen to me. But
at the end of the day, know who you are in Christ, take
advantage of who you are in Christand shove that in Satan's fat face,
and remember again who you are.Remind him of who you are, and
remind him of where he's going andwho he is in light of what Jesus
has done for you and me.This is a short message today, but
(09:33):
I think it's good enough to leaveyou with that. I hope that you
have a blessed day and until nexttime, God bless Peter P.
