(00:21):
I hope you are fantastic day.I don't really mean that. I want
us all to have a joyful day. The last thing we need is another
crabby day, right, we don'tneed any of that. Thanks for taking
the time out of your day tolisten to words of encouragement. That's what
I seek to provide through this podcastare words of encouragement based on Biblical knowledge

(00:41):
and sometimes addressing world events, becauseit's important to know from a Biblical perspective
how to address certain situations that aregoing on in the world. But today
we're kind of doing that, andwe're kind of not Today. My purpose
in this podcast episode is to bringcomplete encouragement to you. I want you
to know who Jesus is. Clearly, we know that he's our savior.

(01:04):
Clearly, we know what He's donefor us. Clearly, we know that
we have been justified, sanctified,we are forgiven. We know that.
If you don't, you know itnow, But don't just know it because
I told you know it, becausethat's what the scriptures teach. Nonetheless,
I want you to remember who Jesusis in the middle of the battles that
you face in this life, becauseif you're like me, I have many

(01:26):
trials and tribulations in this world, and I know that you do as well,
because that's just life. Life doesn'talways go the way that we plan
it to go. And let's behonest, there have been many times that
we have been in the middle ofplanning where God throws a wrench in that
and says, nope, you ain'tdoing that. Even though we thought we
were going to do that. Thatjust doesn't turn out to be the case.

(01:49):
Why because we are not Lord,We are not God. God is
Jesus is Lord. Period. Youremember before Jesus ascended into heaven, what
did he say in Matthew twenty eight? He said, all authority has been
given to me in heaven and onearth. I want, I want you
to think about that. All authorityhas been given to Jesus, our Lord

(02:15):
and Savior, our friend, ourGod. He has all authority and heaven
and on earth. What does thatmean in the middle of the battles that
you face in this life, whetherit be receiving bad news from the doctor,
whether it be being diagnosed with canceror whatever disease, whether it be

(02:35):
family problems, whether it be churchproblems, whether it be Satan trying to
pop his head up in your life, whether it be in your church or
in your personal life and your relationships, whatever it is. What does it
mean that Jesus has authority in heavenand on earth Colossian Chapter one. I
want to remind you of what theWord of God says, the Holy Spirit

(02:58):
says to us concerning Jesus and whohe is. He is the image of
the invisible God, Verse fifteen ofColossians Chapter one, the firstborn overall creation.
For by him all things were createdthat are in heaven and that are
on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions, or principalities or

(03:20):
powers, all things were created throughhim, in for him, and he
is before all things, and inhim all things hold together, all things
consist. And he, that's Jesus, is the head of the body the
Church, who is the beginning, the first born from the dead, that
at all things he may have thepriminens. It's all about Jesus, this

(03:46):
whole point, this whole life isall about Jesus. Yeah, you probably
just heard my phone go off inthe background. That's okay, It's all
about Jesus. So whatever you're facingin this life, You need to remember
that Jesus is the image of theinvisible God. He is the image of

(04:10):
our heavenly Father. You need tounderstand that Jesus, Jesus has all authority
in the visible and in the invisible. The truth of the matter is that
I'm going to die one day.The truth of the matter is that you
are going to die one day.The truth of the matter is that the
rapture can happen at any moment. The truth of the matter is that one

(04:30):
day we will stop breathing. Now. For those who are not Christians,
for those who have not accepted orplaced their faith in Jesus Christ, the
only perfect sacrifice, that's a scarysituation. That's a very scary situation.
But for us as Christians, it'snot so. Whatever you're going through today
as a Christian, as a followerof Jesus Christ, you need to understand

(04:55):
that the trials and tribulations that youwere going through today are to Christians.
We all go through life together, and life is not always easy. That's
why I want to encourage you withFirst Peter, chapter five. I've read
this before in one of my podcastepisodes and at my church before. I've
preached this. You need to knowthis first Peter chapter five, verse six.

(05:19):
Therefore, humble yourselves under the mightyhand of God, that He may
exalt you in due time, castingall your care upon him, because he
cares for you. Let's be honest, let's be real. The truth of
the matter is that most of usdo not cast all of our cares upon

(05:39):
him. We don't cast all ouranxieties on him. Rather, we let
Satan, or we might not lethim. But Satan does a good job
of getting in our minds, ofconvincing us, for whatever reason, whether
it be pride, whatever, heconvinces us to hold on to something thinking
that we can fix it. Thetruth of the matter, no matter what

(06:00):
you're going through in life, whetherit's a terrible diagnosis, you have family
problems, you having church problems, you're having personal problems, or relationship problems,
whatever it is, job problems, whatever it is, school problems,
all of that lay them at thefeet of Jesus. Not because Gary Johnson
tells you to, but because theHoly Spirit tells you to your heavenly Father,
if you are a child of Godright now through faith in Jesus Christ.

(06:21):
Here's what he wants you to knowthere's no condemnation for you. You
don't have to fear spending eternity withoutGod Romans chapter eight, verse one.
There is none. Jesus took thataway from you. So if you ever
worry about where you're going, youneed to go back to the word of
God. You need to refresh yourmind. You need to renew your mind
with the word of God is Romanschapter twelve tells us. You also need

(06:45):
to know that you are forgiven. It is finished, Jesus said his last
words, one of his last sentenceson the cross. It is finished.
Jesus has paid your penalty. Yoursins are forgiven. And you know what
It is important to know that yoursins were all future. All of your
sins that you've ever committed have alwaysbeen future sins. What do I mean

(07:08):
by that? When Jesus died onthe cross, he looked toward the future.
He knew that you were going tomess up. He knew that I
was going to mess up. Butyet, because you've accepted the offer,
the invitation, the free gift ofeternal life, by placing your faith in
Jesus Christ, by placing your trustin him, you've been forgiven. That
means that the sins you committed yesterdayare forgiven, the sins that you've committed

(07:31):
today are forgiven, The sins thatyou commit tomorrow are forgiven. Now,
I understand that legalistic people have ahard time of accepting that. People who
are caught up in their own worksand their own obedience in their workspased gospel
have a hard time of accepting thatday. And I don't mean that to
be critical, not at all.I come from a background of church believing

(07:58):
that way. It was very legalisticin my thinking. But the day I
understood that Jesus has truly paid itall all to him I owe, but
he washed my sins white as snow. The day I understood that, the
day I experienced true freedom. Yes, we need to keep God's commands not

(08:20):
to be saved, but because we'resaved, we don't want to interrupt our
fellowship with God. The point hereis that whatever you're going through, you
need to cast that on the Lord, and I want to encourage you Verse
eight one Peter, Chapter five.Be sober, be vigilant, because your

(08:41):
adversary, the devil, walks aroundlike a roaring lion, seeking whom he
may devour, Resist him, steadfastin the faith, Firm in the faith,
knowing that the same sufferings are experiencedby your brotherhood in the world.
All of us go through life together. All of us need each other.
You're not alone. Whatever you're goingthrough. You need to understand that Christians

(09:05):
all around the world are facing trialsand tribulations as well, and they come
in different forms for different Christians. If you're a Christian, you're gonna be
persecuted. That's just how it is. Why, because you're a light in
a dark world, you stand out. Remember what Jesus did. He didn't
come to unite. Rather, hecame to divide. He came to this

(09:28):
world and he knew that the darknessdoes not love the light. The darkness
does not want the truth, period. But Jesus, after he died,
the Gospel invitation is given to alland through the influence of the Holy Spirit,
to all people. We have thechoice of what we do with the

(09:50):
Gospel message. We have the choiceof what we do with Jesus. But
in the middle of that, asa Christian, you who are listening,
that is a Christian, you needto know that you are forgiven, You
are loved, and that you needto cast everything, all your trials on
Jesus, get rid of the pride. Why because he cares for you.
And remember that in the middle ofthat, don't forget that you have an

(10:13):
enemy, a spiritual enemy, whohates your guts. He doesn't want you
to succeed. He doesn't want youto continue to obey God. He wants
to trip you up. The choiceis ours at the end of the day.
You know Charles Stanley, God blesshim, look forward to meeting him
one day. If the Lord permitsthat he said this, obey God and

(10:33):
leave all the consequences to him.Say that again, Obey God, and
you leave all the consequences to God. Period. You trust him. He
tells you to move, you move. Don't get caught up. And what
if? What if? What ifif you are convicted that the Lord is

(10:58):
telling you to do something, doit? And I know we're not all
perfect at that. Maybe you're convictedthat he told you to do something in
the past and you didn't do it, and you're beating yourself up to this
day over it. Well, youneed to learn to forgive yourself, because
God's the rad forgiving you. He'syour heavenly Father. He loves you.
He knows you messed up, heknows you're gonna mess up, but yeah,
he still loves you. Praise God. Amen, we need him.

(11:22):
But whatever you're going through in life, remember that Satan wants to trip you
up. But your job as aChristian, as hard as this is for
me as well, is to giveall our cares over to him. Boy,
is that a struggle? Why?Because we are all prideful people,
we still struggle with sin, butyet we rely on the grace of Jesus,

(11:43):
pick ourselves back up by his graceand live to fight another day.
I hope that this has been encouragingto you. That's what I seek to
do through this podcast episode and throughthis podcast in general. I hope that
you have a blessed ay and untilnext time Grace speaks it after after an after a
