Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, it's Jaredith with two pennecostles and a microphone. It's
(00:03):
just me dropping in to say that we have some
really great interviews coming up with some guests that we
think you'll be excited to hear from. Also, I want
to tell you about a new show that I launched
called Apostolic Art. And I've been talking about this on
my social media for a while and trying to get
it off the ground, and it was just finding the
time to actually edit some episodes and get them posted.
(00:25):
And we are now officially we have liftoff. We are live.
Everybody listen to podcasts. We have three episodes so far.
I think we're going to have some more in the
next week or so after this drops. So go over
to whatever podcast app you listen to podcasts on and
follow the show. Apostolic Art is about art made by Apostolics,
(00:47):
but also the discussions on the show will be around
topics of a Christians and art. What does art look
like for a Christian? What is the point of art
for Christians? As both creators of art and enjoyers of art?
Should should art be challenging to us in what ways?
Lots of conversations around the idea of creating things. So
(01:11):
the idea behind this show is that we will provide
resources to make better art in the Apostolic movement, but
also to allow those things to be found more easily.
So kind of be a platform for musicians, songwriters, authors,
visual artists, et cetera within the movement to get their
their art out there, no matter what their creative outlet is.
(01:33):
So if you know of anyone who is doing something
really great creatively or really unique creatively, then by all
means let us know. Go to Apostolic art dot com
and you can fill out a form there. There is
a little subscribe form, just an email name. You can
subscribe for updates, you can listen to the podcast there,
(01:54):
you can fill out a general contact form if you
want more info or have a question, or you can
go to the booking and you can actually request to
book yourself or someone else as a guest on the show.
And you can also request a media come onto your
show or guest on your blog or whatever. And if
we do that, we think it's a good fit. We
have a place for an interview. We will send you
(02:16):
a link to schedule a time. I'm looking forward to it.
I'm looking forward to hearing from some exciting Apostolic artists
and also some people outside of the Apostolic realm that
have done some really creative things in the Christian world
at large that I think will have some really great
insights on what it looks like to incubate greatness, incubate
a great artistic culture in a Christian environment. So what
(02:39):
does that look like? And hopefully I'm hoping to reach
out to some people that will really challenge our thinking
as well, maybe some people that our audience wouldn't be
familiar with. I'm assuming our audience is mostly in the
Apostolic movement, but some people that have had a big
impact on creativity in Christian culture at large, especially in
the boom of Christian creed native culture in the nineties
(03:02):
in early two thousands. So plans in the works. We
have commitments from some great artists that you're going to
want to hear from several authors as well. There is
not that there's not creative things happening. We just don't
always know about them. And we hope to help remedy
that and be a part of the remedy for that,
but also to encourage more artistic output by applesite artists
(03:22):
and higher quality artistic output because we are doing everything
in the name of Jesus and for the glory of God,
so I believe it should be the absolute best that
we can muster. So anyway, tune in, stay tuned. I'm
really excited about this project. I hope you are too,
and I want this to be collaborative, So please, by
all means, reach out and give us suggestions. Let us
(03:44):
know if you're the person to come on the show,
tell us that we'd love to have you on. If
you know somebody else, don't leave us in the dark.
Let us know who we need to talk to and subscribe,
follow listen, tune in, and reach out on social media
and give us your feedback, leave us a review. If
you're listening, all righty and your ears and eyes open
for that next episode of Apostolic Art. Thanks for listening
