baby night time, and let mefix my ground like dominos. Yeah,

(06:33):
just going down my feet off theground elevated. You feel so when you
hear my sound and lies all right? Yeah, that was just a little

(07:09):
highlight real of the things that wenton that night. I had a wonderful
time. I'll be showing that onall of my pages, you know,
from here on out. But youcan always go back and watch it again
on YouTube or Facebook, because rightnow we are live. Hello Facebook,
lad, Hello YouTube lad, HelloTwitter, Hello ig Behind the scenes,
nosies, how how are how youguys doing anyway? So you guys can

(07:30):
go back and watch that at anytime. But you know what, let's
get to those TikTok videos cause wegot a lot of content to show today.
So let's get to those TikTok videos. Let's take a look at California.
It's just brad all I got overthe food eod so hellooo how did

(08:03):
they even go out? Yeah?I need me so oh my wow,

(08:54):
oh my god. The story isempty. If you have not been following
what's going on in La Every storeis getting robbed, every single one.
Look at this thirty to fifty people. My thing is who is organizing this?

(09:18):
Thirty to fifty people going in atone time? Here's the group checked
what apple? You guys want?Thirty to fifty people pulling up to rob
store. That is not a coincidence. Everybody wearing black, everybody's in sync,
everybody is working together. They hada strategic plan to rob these stores.
This is just one. If youcould check the internet right now,

(09:39):
all these stores are getting robbing LaLouis, Vatons, everywhere, just everywhere.
They're getting hit. But the thingis people who are robbing them,
they're growing in volume. What thehell can you possibly do when this thirty
to fifty seventy sixty people running intothe mall stealing everything. What is going
on? It's a oh right,So I showed that one just because I

(10:03):
wanted to talk about it. Iremember, like, uh foosed about a
month or two months ago, theyhad you know, passed the law in
California that they're not coming out foranything that's not you know, any non
violent crimes, any fevery or breakins or entering uh in California, they're
not gonna come out. They're notgonna take it serious. And you know,
people are getting a slap on thewrist for it, you know,

(10:24):
if anything. And so since then, it's like been this wave of crime.
And then they've been like the mob, like a mob of people going
into these stores robbing like what Imean they had an assembly line too,
what do you mean? Okay,So you didn't when they first in the
store, they they were, uh, there was the one guy that were
going back to grab everything. Thenhe would put it in the court and

(10:48):
the other dude would grab the court, push it out to the dude of
the god push it out the door. And didn't see that. I saw
it, but I didn't. Yeah, they had assembly line going on,
mapped it out that it's got real. I feel like the uh you know,
the mom and pop shops, theboutiques, the private owned you know,
uh companies. I think they're reallygonna suffer the worst. It's not

(11:09):
gonna be the big corporate you knowwhat, what do you think? Uh?
Well, I think it's just gettingout of an Actually, yeah,
something need to be doing fast forsure. And so I mean, is
this is this a you guys thinkthis is our answer to defund the cops?
Like what do you do you think? Well? Uh, I mean,

(11:30):
because they're saying like, we'll justyou know, I think it's just
they're just trying to smack them inthe face with something. You know,
you mean, smack who in theface the police? You know. So,
since y'are not coming out to nonviolent crimes, we're gonna go in
here with no guns. We're gonnaput a mask on, We're not gonna
harass anybody. We're just gonna takeyour stuff. Do you think the the
mob robbings, you think they're theanswer to the police. I don't think

(11:54):
it's an answer to it. Ithink they're just taking advantage of Hey,
the police is not coming. That'sthat's just the bottom line. The police
is not coming. And if ifit's thirty to sixty of us brenda up
in her, the people who workin her that they're only getting paid seventeen
eighteen thousand dollar, they're not goingto rest their life of this. Yeah,
I understand, So I concur andyeah, yeah, well I don't

(12:15):
know. I feel like, likeyou said, we have to do something
about it. We have to figureit out. Sometimes we have to police
ourselves, you know. Yeah, yeah, and protect ourselves. It's time
for everybody to get it. Well, did I say that you're almost city?
You're almost city? Say? Okay, next TikTok video tell me,

(12:35):
oh, I'm sorry. Who wasresponsible for that one? Uh aj aj
King underscore? Bishop, okay ajKing underscore, Bishop, shout out to
you. Thank you for submitting thatone. Uh next p please I told
let motherfucker I was alpha, butI didn't tell him. I surrounded myself
with generals. These weren't soldiers. These were generals. Surround myself with intellectual

(13:00):
good people, long time friends,no new people. Oh my god,
I like I like that one.I like that one too, she said,
no new friends. I man,I I did adapt that philosophy for
a minute, the no new friendphilosophy. But I find well, me

(13:22):
personally, I had to get ridof a lot of old friends, and
so the new ones are kind ofmore welcome now in my life at this
point in time. But I amsurrounded by generals. Don't get it twisted,
you know for sure, Uh,you got some new friends, ty,
whoa, whoa? I got morefrom new friends. And you're are

(13:43):
you open to meeting new friends?Yeah? Yeah, I think you know,
new friends could be a breath offresh air. Yeah yeah, okay,
I think so. I think shewas being in it more in uh
a way of you know how peopleare to hang out and kick it,
you know, no new friends likethat, because that's where all the all
the all the ruggets starts up,you know, hanging out just kicking it.

(14:05):
You know, that's that's the nonew friends like I don't know she
kicking it? Do you think shekicking it? You think she's still hanging
out and kicking it. That's whatThat's what she meant, No new friends.
I'm not kicking it no more.I'm not hanging out no more.
All right, Okay, I cango for that. Yeah. Well,
what we got next? Tony bitoh bonfire Oh you wanted to say that,
totally wanted to say that. Sayit louder well, bonafide boss bitches

(14:28):
a bonafid boss bitches up in here. Okay, shout out to you guys,
Vona fire boss bitches. I loveit all right, Well we got
next. They thought they were clothed. That one was quick. But did

(14:50):
you see that it was the aliencup or whatever cloth? Oh? Oh
yeah, when I was walking acrosshe was hanging out a turb could I
don't know. That's what That's whatI want to talk about, Like you
know, Facebook land YouTube. Didy'all see that? Like, I don't
know. I don't know. Idon't know if that's is it the dome
that we're in under or is itthe aliens? For real? What's going

(15:11):
on? I'm gonna say this withOkay, you gotta understand. You know
what a green screen is, rightbecause you've got green screens and you also
got blue screens. You know, the sky is completely blue and you can
reflect anything off of the sky.You know what I'm saying. If you
got a big enough projector you canyou can reflect anything off of It's just
like he was in a green screen. Okay, but I mean it looked
real, right, Tony, Whatyou think you ever seen? No,

(15:35):
this is his wheelhouse. That's whyI'm saying. You heard of the blue
screen, right, yeah, becauseyou can do the same thing with blue
screens. Paranormal activity is his wheelhouse. So what do you think? I
mean, unless they prove it wrong, wrong, Yeah, huh, unless
they prove it wrong. I don'tdisbelieve or believe either way. Okay,

(15:56):
Okay. The recording looks real, yes, like life recording. So I
mean, yeah, yeah, youthink it's real? Okay, it could
be. I'm just ready to seethem. I personally haven't seen one yet.
Have you seen one? To me? Have you seen yet? You
did see the UF see, Ihaven't seen either, a lot of people
around me have. I'm ready.Let's go, I mean, ay,

(16:18):
I'm ready. I don't think they'rehere. I don't think they're here to
hurt us or do anything. Ithink these little et ones that they're showing
us, I think they've been here. Those are old. You. Have
you guys seen the little in Mexico? Yeah, the little et skeletons that
they're showing us. Yeah, they'rethey've been here. They're showing us some
old foot I want to see thereal the real deal. I want to
see it, and I want totalk, you know, I want to

(16:41):
commune. Yeah, you know,I wanta have a good time. Okay,
all right, you guys, withoutfurther ado, let's get into the
show. First of all, Iwant to speak to our co host that
I told you that's going to behanging out with us for the next few
weeks. It's our special guest bythe name of Edward la Grand. That's

(17:02):
that's his, uh, one ofhis. It's my government, that's his
government, that's his that's his namename. We'll refer to him as many
other names throughout the time that he'svisiting with us during these weeks for the
show. But as of right now, we're gonna talk to mister EdWay.
There. Can we talk to Edward? He's here, okay, uh jokes.

(17:29):
So last time we were here, you were telling us that you you
served in the military. You weretelling us that you got into music because
of your mother, and you weresaying that you just had a natural knack
for it, a love for it. I was saying that you're great at
it. You also do production, you also do engineering, uh, film

(17:56):
videography and uh yeah you talk. You can write scripts? You write scripts?
Yeah, I can write scripts. You got some books? I got
one hundred and eighty nine books thatI wrote. Yes she did. Yes,
she just needs a publishing Yes shedid. So in a perfect world,
what would Edwild want to do withall of that talent that he has.

(18:17):
It's the media company, okay, production company. I was a media
company, and you know, Iwould want to get these books publishing like
a sap. That would be thefirst thing I do. You know,
the music is a past when Iwould love to get the music down,
you know, but a forefront wouldbe uh, you know, just getting
the media company and production company offthe ground and getting these books publish because
I think these books gonna help alot of people. You don't, Okay,
it's real life, you know.Uh what do you mean? How

(18:38):
do you mean? I don't.I don't. I wouldn't say that it's
religious. It's it's spiritual, youknow, just you know, uh for
those who are on a spiritual journey, you know, like just just I'm
not gonna say I'm a guru atit or anything. Just from my own
life experiences, coming from my backgroundand things that I've been through in life.

(18:59):
Uh, I feel like it wouldhelp people in a similar walk.
Okay, so you know everybody's walk. It's the different. It's different,
but it's similar. You know, you have those those uh you know,
you got the hard life, yougot the good life, you you got
the uh you have, uh thelife of individuals who have uh have the
street life, you know, thenyou they got the the dope life,

(19:21):
you know, selling drugs, andthen you got you know where I come
from. I come from my bodyguardbackground. So it's a you know,
it's a different it's a transition fromall of those things, even in the
military. But I think those thebooks that I wrote would help in a
lot of different areas because it's helpso from U. So you were able
to take a spiritual uh journey.Okay, oh my god. So it's
a spiritual journey through all those walksof life that you mentioned, m and

(19:44):
and and and and it's the thethe spirit that this guiding guiding you through
it, you know. So it'sit's just a these series of books what
you call him a kind of ablueprint to UH life. I wouldn't call
it a blueprint. I would callit a you know what, Yeah,
I will call it a blueprint.Okay, yeah, I will call it

(20:04):
a blueprint. Well, as Isay, we're gonna dig in your story
throughout the uh the rest of theseweeks. But just you know, thank
you for stopping in sharing with us, sharing your journey with us. You're
compelling story. It gets deeper. They got to hold on today chairs.
But today we have a special guestand we can't wait to celebrate him.

(20:26):
And you know, he celebrates us, so we can't can't wait to give
back to him in celebration. SoI want you to get on this train
with me and au co host thisthing and help me interview our brother over
here. Yeah, okay, good, good, Okay, Now let's get
into this interview without further ado.We wanted to introduce you to tai Wo

(20:48):
Adulla. Yes, he is thefounder and the president of the AFRO Awards.
He is a Nigerian born entertainment executiveand filmmaker. He is the CEO
of I Do or Do a TagProduction, I'll do a tie, I'll
do a tish I love that.Thank you. I'll do a tag thank

(21:08):
you for you know, showing mehow to pronounce it. But it's beautiful.
I'll do a TAGE Beautiful Productions EntertainmentIncorporated. And I'll do a Tige
nonprofit foundation and it's based right herein Los Angeles, California. You have
a wonderful, prestigious award show comingup called AFRO Awards, and I am

(21:30):
so glad you are here today totalk with us about it, the celebration
and how you were able to celebrateus and give back to the community.
And thank you so much for beinghere. You guys give a warm welcome
to Taiwo. I duella. Thankyou said it right? Oh my god.

(21:56):
So before we get into the show, we want to know something about
you. We want you to tellus all about you. Obviously you're from
Nigeria. Well I'm tired, willdo all. I'm a twin Oh wow,
yeah, I twin twin babo.Now I didn't know that that wasn't
in yet. Okay when when whenyou hit taiwa, it means twin in
Nigeria means twins. Yeah yeah, okay, so okay, that's my new

(22:18):
word. I'm gonna say it.I'm gonna be saying your name a lot
from now on. That's cool.Well, I'm trying with do all life,
ni Joan Bond filmmaker. I mean, being the industries is thirty two
years. Okay. You know whenI was in college, it was ninety
one. You know, this youngboy that I wanted to just be into
entertainment. Yea. Then back thenwe used to watch Stop Doggy Dog and

(22:41):
you see I'm a body lah yeah, not to you by nature. Yeah.
Then we're so crazy about everything aboutAmerica. Yeah yeah, So I
said, damn, this is whereI want to be. And then what
do you want to do? Movies? Music, entertainment? Okay, I
said, anymore coming to America,I want something like that. Then you

(23:03):
look about the music water, sothese two things, I mean, you
just had to be in America andwhat's it. Then I said, I
know I'm gonna end up in Americaand I'm gonna live in Los Angeles,
you know, And the dreams startedfrom then, you know, I started
walking with some colleagues training getting intoit. On til ninety seven, I
made my first movie as a producer, director, actor, writer, and

(23:26):
I was a break through from thatday to the date, it's all been
well that I've lost color of projectsI've done. So what what year did
you get When did you get here? Well, I started a Colorado film
school in two thousand and fourteen. Then I was still going back and forth.
Okay, then I decided to comeback here finally in two thousand and
seventeen. So yeah, it's time. Wow wow. So you get home,

(23:48):
you get home, after you gothome, after come off from Yeah,
you know, I mean I travelwith a lot like I go to
almost for the country because I oncelive in Europe, I live in UK,
and now I'm finally in America.I really want to read where you
always wanted to be. So,you know, I watching you're exactly right
kind of being in uh in Nigeriaor Nigeria, watching what we do over

(24:11):
here over here in the United States. And I've I've traveled a bit myself,
and I noticed that everywhere I've gonethat's there. Everyone's watching us,
and especially La you know, andthey're watching us. And so obviously you
were influenced enough to actually come hereand jump in. So now now that
you've been here and now that you'vebeen creating film and actually this awards show?

(24:37):
Is it? Is it everything youdreamed of? It? Is it?
Is? It? Is? It? Is there a nostalgia there or
what was it like to just divein and actually get here to LA and
just start working okay after the dreamof being a great entertainer. Yes,
At the same time, I wouldbe like, these people are great people,
They've been doing a lot. Howdo they we give back to these

(24:59):
people? How do we give themtheir flowers? So the dream came back
there, But I was like,I'm said the young man, it's just
a dream. Yeah, I neverknow if it's gonna come through or not,
but I know it's gonna come through. So twenty more years ago,
I said I want to have myown award in Los Angeles. I don't
know it's gonna come, but I'llkeep walking towards. Yeah. So when
you see me travel to Europe,it was just like a step from me.

(25:23):
I would I wouldn't think it outthere. I'm gonna stay because I
know where I wanted to go whenI was in UK. The same thing.
I want some great award like theBFI. I'm pretties from me suit
to the award. I mean oneof the first African I won one of
the awards there, and I waslike, whoa, I keep telling them
this is not where I want tobe, right, I'm still going for
her, you know. So untilwhen I came to start in America to

(25:45):
the outherand and fourteen a color outof film school, and I went back
and I said, I mean,yeah, I've I've gained this thing to
the point where I think I shouldmove down finally and chase my dream.
And then I moved here into Iwas seventeen. I was in Colorado.
But then I said, I'm notgonna come to a little without with I'll
prepare. You know, you can'tjust come to eight there and start coming

(26:07):
up like a pup or start walkingup the street. I got to come
with the project. So I decidedto make my first movie in America right
there in Colorado called Ilu or IloAmerica, which is Land of America.
And that movie had the screen everywhereshut down, most of the cities and
all of that. Want some bigand a great awards and first it was
and all of that. So whenI'm moving here, I said, yes,

(26:30):
two dreams I got making a moviein Hollywood and giving up the deciety
of them from in two thousand nineteen, I tried starting off where it was
like, where is it gonna comefrom? I was just getting me to
ask you that was next question?Where did all this funding come from?
You know? So I started strugglingand struggling and struggling, and like before
I shot my first movie when Iwas in Colorado, I have to say

(26:52):
one of my property back home andNigeria because I said, what the house
doing that when I'm here? Yeah, and I needed some funded to kick
up the stuff. Now that's dedication. So I sold it off. Then
I hit it the first project. And now when I got to you in
two dollars nineteen, it was likeit's a lot of money. Were you
gonna get two and fifty thousand dollarsto do? And I watch your just
like that was gonna give it toyou. They don't see, they don't

(27:14):
know what you've been doing before. Now I said, okay, I'll keep
out of it. Then unfortunately COVIDnineteen strike and then everything went down.
Yeah, so everything the dream wasthat, Yeah, I had to do
some side job, you know, doing care giving, you know, trying
to make sure a million and outof that. So last year was like
the COVID nineteen was getting away.Yeah, and some I that was constantly

(27:38):
came back alive. You know, they would have to move on to Vegas
and all of the stuff. Ithink this is gonna walk. And I
just had to go for credit cards. I got some partners. I say,
you know what, let's do this. Can you just trust me with
your credit card? We'll pay back. And that was how we started the
last year. And that's wait aminute, who did you ask? Can
you just trust me with your creditcard? I have a couple of friends,

(28:02):
friends, great friends, friends,So you knew when when when she
was saying she had soldiers she hador what she say she had her around
her general general? Yeah, Igot generous and and and these are not
new friends. These are these arepeople that you know, we've been seen,
but I see they share the sameviture. Yes, and like I

(28:22):
said, all they say this Icannot do with all Might team. Yeah,
Might team made me. It's everything. Nolui Day, one of my
best man, what's his name newOlui Day? Shout him out again?
Knew out? Or Louis Day?Yes you know that. Yeah, now
fields you see that then Fatima MuhammedFatima and lots of them. You know

(28:45):
when you shout out Katina, yeah, you when you when you talking about
say I want to do this,I'm like, okay, I got your
back. Yes, no funding yetwe're just going we unders do it.
And then you know, we wejust had to put their heads together and
like, let's still doing I'm trying. It's trash for y'all to like,
ah, it's you know, togetherfunding, but we knew the future is

(29:06):
that and the future is good. And then it's a Lady of love,
you know. And then we justyou know, and here we are the
second edition Manifestation. That's it.Yeah, So he's in your wheelhouse in
regards to shooting films. Yeah,I mean and having to galvanize and get
the funds for the for the thefilm. So did you go to film

(29:29):
school here or yeah? I amthe fact that the film school back in
Africa and kay I studied at callabout the film school? Okay, how
was that? Well? That wasthat was beautiful. In fact, that
was where I can find that.Yes, that can be a standard American
filmmaga Okay, because then I hadn'twork with they standards. You know,
I have to do everything the waythey do it here. What would do

(29:49):
back in Africa is a little bitnot too strong like the way it is
here. Everything yet is detailed,so everything was the industry standard standish.
So you come in here letting this, start doing it how to do it,
and then you know, say, yes, I produced a film,
I mean one of my short film. Then what's like the best? I
guess what I had to work with? This green screen? What's my green

(30:11):
screen? I was like, Iwanted to try something extra dinwal that I've
not been doing. So yeah,I did a big time seeing green screen
and it was like the best.Yeah, if you, if you,
if you got a good, goodeditor, they knows how to work the
green screen. Oh man, itlooks exactly. It looks like you're right
there. That was it, andI said, wow, I have arrived.
So so this was your first film, this was my film from yeah,

(51:06):
for this episode. And so Ithink we have a song that would kind
of fit into this whole theme ofambassadors of greatness. Yes, what do
we do? Count? Blessing,we count, blessing, we count blessing
without further ado, I'm count,I'm count blessed, count countless, count

are counting blessings over here. Blessedto have uh tywau Idwala in the house.
Blessed to have him honoring the legends, the living legends, giving everybody

(53:06):
their flowers right now. That's rightup my alley. I love doing that.
And uh just just just blessed.Blessed to be in the building with

time everything and then front Yeah forthe microphone in front of them young clop

(53:28):
Hey. Yeah, well at therisk of sounder or being redundant. Yeah,
what was the inspiration beyond that song? Uh? Honestly, Uh,
I had just got shot. Ohand I had died in the hospital.
Oh my god, dude, andthey had to give me, uh eight
points of blood. Oh my god. Uh. I was laying there and
you know, they thought I wasdead. I popped up and I set

(53:49):
up, and you know, sothe nurse after how long, I mean
how long I was? I wasover like six seven minutes, sixty seven
minutes. Her nurse walked in andas she was walking in, I popped
up and set up, and shesaid, you're supposed to be dead,
and I said, I rebuke you. Come on, give me the phone
so I can call my mom.Come on exactly. Yeah. So they

(54:12):
I called my mother and I waslike, they want to do a blood
transfusion, but I don't trust nobodyin her. She was like, just
let him do a baby. Iwas like, all right, So,
yeah, I wrote that song layingon the couch. I just can that's
a that's another Yeah, that's athat's a it's it's it's a deep story.
But yeah, I just uh,I just woke up on her on
the death bed and God, youknow, he's likely not right now.

(54:35):
And it actually wasn't your death bed, and it wasn't it was it was
a blessing, you know. SoGod is good all the time. Yeah,
that's the reason for that song.We praise God. Yeah, praise
God. We're glad you woke upto write that song. Yeah, you
gotta bring you gotta go over andcome back and tell about it, tell
us about it. Witness witness tous, so we'll know the love,
life and light is over there. But when it when it's not your time,

(54:55):

her. Uh it's called uh transmutation. M come on, talk about it.

uh, the the the wh It'swhen the Holy Spirit is doing things.

(55:15):
You know. So it's it's calledtransmutation. Can't really get too deep into
because I that's a right job.Imo'll be going down there. Yeah,
like, but trans look up transmutation. It's it's, it's, it's it's
it's energy. It's it's where youtake the more or less sexual energy and
you used to be creative with it, you know what I'm saying. So

(55:37):
it's it's it's it's all in apart of transmutation. Okay, yea,
yeah, so it's it's it.It hasn't about to do with the game
gang and you know, and andthe positive and the negative energies and how
to take the negative energy and curbbirded into positive energy. How you take
negative negative energies like that situation. It was a negative situation where I took
it and you know, gratitude toto to the most high and then that

(55:57):
a song came. All right, that's transmutation. All right, yeah,
I'd like the song. I'm gladyou made it. Thank you, thank

(58:58):
that you are a winner. Lookat the mirror and tell yourself, I
