a different look to her. Butsometimes makeup can make you look a little
exotic or is you know, justenhancing what you already are. Yeah,
she looks almost like ai Ish thereyou go through her page like, yes,

originally from? Oh yeah, I'moriginally from Compton, California, you know,
going and raising Compton. Okay, shout out to Compton. Yes,
we love you know me and Kelly. We love Cali. We do.
I actually used to think feel likeI was actually west Side. I mean

(20:38):
because growing up, that's all welistened to is west Side. If you
go to yeah, for sure, ice Q, west Side, all them,
Tupac, Well Tupac wasn't actually fromhere, but he was at a
point representing the west Side, Sowest Side it was big for us.
Yeah you know, so yeah, sure, happy to have you here,
but but you're not here. You'rein You're in Vegas right now. I'm

(21:00):
Vegas right now. What you stationedin Vegas? Just life. You know,
I moved around a lot, soI just got here and I just
posted up here for a minute, right, okay, So musically, can
you tell us who some of yourinspirations is or are. I really ain't

(21:22):
got no inspiration, like as faras music, like, I'm very I'm
like inspiration, self inspirational. Youfeel meet. I get driven off myself
a lot, you know, becauseone time in life, I didn't listen
to no other artists because I don'twant no one to say that I was
still in their style or still intheir music, so I didn't. I
never listened to no other artists. So I really had to have that self

(21:45):
motivation. So you know, Ialways had self motivation. I was driven
off me, but like just whatI want to achieve, you feel me?
So that's gonna keep me going today. So okay, and so you
produce as well? Yeah, youknow, you know I do everything.
You know, when you in thisgame and people want to overcharge you or
get over on you and not giveyou your work, you got to learn

(22:07):
how to do everything, especially whenyou like you like like I'm gonna give
example, I used to go tothe studios on time fifteen minutes early because
I want to be on time andthey ain't no time. They hold on,
we got to wait on this andwe're still in this session and all
that. So I started buying myOne of my producers told me to start
buying your own engineer and stuff. So from day one, I've been I

(22:27):
want to be independent. So Istarted just being hands on with everything.
So if I want the beats,I have to learn how to make my
own beats because I don't want toget over priced, you feel me,
And so I just learned how todo everything. So and that's what I
influenced most artists and everybody that's doingit, to be hands on everything,
like learn how to do everything, you know. So that's what it's about.

(22:48):
So with your music, the typeof melodies that you lean into,
what what does your artists ear likethe most? What do you lean into?
It's to beat? If to beathow it ain't you know, I
could come from any So it's thebeat written, Okay, you know the
beat? How a producer and makethe beat of the be rocking is up?
But you're making beats as well, right, yeah? I make beats

(23:10):
off my ear like I can't tellyou the keys and nothing I'm pushing and
none of that. But I canmake a beat you feel me. I
just I greog like off drum line. I play off my ear, so
I make it off feeling and shiplike that. So do you feel like
your production style? Do you feellike it's uh, you know, extremely
hip hop or do you feel likeyou're just well rounded? Like you got

(23:30):
some R and B in there, you got some rock and roll? You
know what? Do you what?I got something everything? I saying I
can make anything from rock and role. I can make all that, you
know. I just can't dictate whatit's gonna be when I start. It's
just ain't that you feel me.I can't predict it. I just get
it in there and I start feelingit and then I create. So I
can't so that because I ain't reallyno producer. I just know how to

(23:52):
do this. Ship you finished,So when I do it, just do
it, you feel me. Ican't even explain it, It's just happen.
So the body of work that youhave now, did you do collaborations
with other producers or did you makeall of your own music? A lot
of this stuff I got, Idid it with other people of the artists
produces YouTube beats, stealing beats,Jack and beats. What what you say

(24:17):
that? Well, they been jackingfor beasts Jack and for beats, ice
cube Jack and for beats. Basically, you know what. Me and him
been in the studio a couple oftimes and we did some tracks and we're
just here beating, like y'all, let's find that and do that. You
know what I'm saying. Yeah,So when you say you find that and

(24:38):
do that, are you meaning likeyou take that beat and remake it?
Are you actually still the beat? All of that, all of that,
all of that, We take it, make it, remake it. I
got a couple of producers, Frankiefly Man and well behave bro, I'm
finishing his beat. Remake it,remake it. And he DoD the same
thing, Clay Ball. Uh.Here we make the beat, you know,

(25:00):
change it up a little bit, change a couple of notes. Watch
it. Sure, So, II thought you had something. You want
to ask them, Cibo? What'scracking is that? Uh? So?
Uh tell us a little bit aboutthis, Uh about the tour? Bro?
Well, how how you I mean? I remember we sitting in Vegas.

(25:22):
We were sitting in Vegas, andI I remember cooking this up,
you know what I'm saying, whenwe were sitting in Vegas, when you
starting to talking about it. Soyou know what, what what gave you
the idea to to go ahead andpush forward with it? And and you
know how, how how do youplan on making a connection these different cities?
Uh? You know what I'm saying. You know it's called a network.
You feel me on you got anetwork. Your network's your network.

(25:42):
So the independent tour we I actuallyhave to push it back because I have
to get some mold things in order. But it's all about connections, you
feel me, finding the right connections. And you got the Internet, so
it's nowhere that you can't touch. You know what I'm saying. You can
touch anywhere. So I just knowhow to use the internet to to get
to these cities in these states. So that's all I do. I reach

(26:02):
in, you know, and Igrab somebody. It was handling less network,
you feel me, and I findout what they got going in they
city through that one of three, four five people are and then I do
my own research online for everything that'sgoing on with music in the city that
I'm trying to go that I wantto go to. So you know,
it's all about networking and doing yourresearch, finding the information and finding the
resources and just tapping in with peopleyou know and and network. Most of

(26:26):
the time, you ain't gonna haveto pay nothing, you know, just
get there. So it's all aboutyour network. I'm just showing independent orders
how to really get it. Youfeel me. So that's all that's really
about. Okay, what the toursabout. So you're allowing another You're allowing
independent artists also jump on that tourwith you from other cities. That's yeah,
that's what we want. We wanteverybody to come on. Let's get
down. You feel me. Ifyou got some popping in your city,

(26:48):
let's put it together. We're gonnapromote it. We're gonna pull up,
we're gonna network it. You feelme. So that's the power of network.
And I'm showing people the power ofnetworking because that's what people need right
now. You need your your relationships, built in relationships. You feel me,
that's gonna get you to the nextchapter. And you know it's going
and it's gonna it's gonna save youa lot of money. You feel me.

(27:08):
That's what fifty State is all aboutsaving independent artists money and giving them
the most game though. You feelme, the most knowledge, the most
awareness on this shit. So it'smore like a development training on how to
manage self management and artists. Andit's not to really be in and I
get finished by the industry. Youfeel me so or anybody that's representing the

(27:32):
industry, because a lot of peoplethat represent the industry they scamming. They
turn hip hop into a scam.To feel me, I'm the scam.
I come to say the world.I come to say, go show you
there's another way. It's another realway how you can get your own money.
It's a new era, so that'swhat I'm representing, a new era,
a new age. Told me youfeel me, So that's what that
was, folks. You feel me. We showing that we connect, we

(27:55):
can do it together. You probablyain't got no thousands, but if you
get nine more people will one hundreddollars, y'all can pack a club.
You feel me and y'all break bridge. So that's all it's about coming together,
kay, bringing all the independent artists, all the ghettos, all the
under people, the people that's underrated, the people that slept on. That's
who I'm looking forward, reaching outto me. Nobody believing you know,

(28:17):
but you home being you working everyday, you putting in that work,
and they sleeping on you tapping withme and we gonna make it happen.
So that's what I mean. I'mrepresenting the underground. Okay, what type
of venues are you targeting when you'reout there right now? You know,
when you independent, we ain't gotno big budget. So right now we
just we're targeted on all the openmics, all the venues in the city,

(28:41):
whatever they got going on in thecity. Most the city free.
People don't know that it's free. And then when you get to the city,
you network. You attack the placeswhere it's a lot of people.
The college is, you go tothe homeless shelters, you go everywhere people
at you feel me and you network. So that's what I know how to
do. I know how to getout out here. I ain't scared to
go nowhere. People scared to getout see people baby, with this internet

(29:03):
shit feel me so and it's cojustedlike I just got off the internet.
Forward with my internet. People theytalking about is congusted in my area.
The Internet is cojusted. It's toomany people trying to make it online.
So I'm attacking the streets and I'mbringing that back. You know, I'm
from the eighties, so I'm usingthe old school taxes. Let's get it
so important. Yeah, yeah, that's that's how even the majors they make

(29:26):
their money on the road, youknow what I mean, because the label
is pretty much taking you know, most of the money as well as the
the dps, the digital platforms, you know, the zero point zero one
percent on the dollar, Like that'sthat's such a thin salt, Like we
never like you would never sign acontract like that in real life, but
yet to put our music on aplatform. That's what they're doing. But

(29:47):

energy. She is still she Shea good person. You heard me.
Well, really what really made mework with her was her conversation. She

So that's when it treated me toreally want to work her. It was

(34:49):
it was fuck the talent. Ican go find that anywhere, but it's
really was behind the talent. Soshe got a story and she got something

The address is sixty eight sixty nineHollywood Boulevard, y'all were about to
have it cracking all Hollywood. Whostars right there in front of I just
told you Mark Ruffalo today is rightin the front. They literally blocked the
whole place. The king is outthere. It's called the Snow White Cafe.
Oh okay, get your phone,j DJ DJK beat, say what's

(39:22):

said, working twelve hours, tiredas fuck, just watching us. Okay,
all right, thank you for watching. What's the name of the bar,
the cafe? They call it acafes. What you're talking about?
Its White White Cafe. Sixty eightsixty nine, sixty eight sixty nine sixty

(39:44):
nine was a real good year,y'all. I don't like it. You're
not approved like that. I ain'tapproved, but I don't like it.
You don't like it. I'm gonnaieveat there. I believe that. I
don't believe that they're I mean, because sometimes I can understand if your consultration
gets broken a little bit all theway, okay, that's pointless to me.

(40:07):
I can't even so the something matternow is independent versus major deal and
not just artists. Yeah, we'regonna definitely touch on artists because music is
everything, but also actors, models, movie producers, directors, filmmakers.
You know, this whole independent movement, it just did. It didn't just

(40:30):
stop at music, but it alsowent into everything entertainment. You know,
she was the studio that we're in. Tony he has had this business for
at least fourteen fifteen years. Hewas doing radio slash talk show slash Live
on YouTube Facebook before it was evencalled a podcast, and it was something

(40:51):
that he started independent and it's veryfrugal, more than he would make if
he was signed to a somewhere bigindustry working for like Warner Brothers. That's
right across the street. He getsto write his own ticket. So let's
I want to explore. And Iknow, Clay Bow, this is your
favorite subject. So we picked thisespecially for you. That's independent versus major.

(41:13):
You want to kick it off forit is Clay Bow. So what
you want me to say? WhatI picked? I picked the independence over
the major any day. You justgotta see the problem with people want the
rush is they don't want to trustthe process. I don't will trust in
the process. You gotta find anincome or create an income. You feel
me, that's what people don't wantto do. They think that they're just
supposed to get handed to them. But you feel me, I choose to

(41:35):
be independent because at the end ofthe day, I'm chasing the back end.
Front end cool with the back endup. I think at the end
of the day, it's about havinga plan that makes sense, you know,
having a step by step plan.Because even though like master P going
you know, doing his independent thing, I think he had a plan for
marketing and he executed and it workedout for him. Most people don't want

(42:00):
to put the effort in and andthe money in and and and don't trust
in putting their own money in,you know, because what if I miss
out? But you got to takethose chances. I think that so a
lot of things that people fail torealize. And being independent, you gotta
you gotta have the right entertainment lawyer. You know when you said master P,

(42:22):
master P had the right entertainment lawyer, or you know what I'm saying.
He master P spent more money onhis his his his his legal documents,
his his contracts, and and thingslike that, say, as far
as his publishing and things like that, he just had. When you've been
an independent, it's just like themajors. So the majors they have big

(42:44):
lawyers working for and that's why thesecontracts come out and we get to ask
in the contracts. Right, Sothe independent the independent ort. As long
as the independent artists investment in theproper uh entertainment lawyer, you can win
all day. You know what I'msaying. You just got Yeah, it's
a proper education. You ain't evena lawyers. And if you get a
lawyer, you ain't education. Thelawyer could play. You's all about educators.

(43:08):
Yeah, that's what what I movedoff. I put off education because
education is really the most the mostvaluable is money. The most currency is
knowledge. Yeah, feel me.That's why people that don't got knowledge they
get for this. So the firstreally it's really the game. So you
said you got to know what you'redoing. You gotta have a plan,

(43:29):
and you got to execute that planon me. You feel me trusting you,
you feel me your intuition and alot in this game, bro,
I'm telling you, I got tolive and learn. I definitely agree you
said, your paperwork tight and allthat. But I feel like he paid
for he paid people that have theknowledge. He paid to get around in

(43:50):
people with the game. Not onlygot not only did he pay them for
the game, he got to Hegot the game from a dude that was
that was talking to Michael Jackson.Yeah, pay him fifteen thousand, go
sit and talk to you. Yeah, and got the information. Yeah.
Yeah, he paid the advice. So the knowledge, Yeah, you ain't

(44:14):
got no knowledge. The less youknow that, the more people you needed,
Like you feel me, the moreyou know, you really don't need
nobody. You know, you needless facts. And so what do we
what do we feel about major labels, big industry? Like, what is
it that uh? What is itthat ails us about you know, big

(44:34):
industry, whether it's a record labelor whether it's this way or no way,
whether it's with you know, WarnerBrothers, you know their you know
their film company? What is ityou know, a production company? What
is it that ails us about thesemajors? Uh? What you know?
With me? A couple of yearsago, like back in two thousand and

(44:55):
nine, I was dealing with I'mnot gonna say the name of the company,
but Uh, it was a itwas a movie that they gave me
a part. And basically what itis is like, you know, they
want you to do exactly what theysay do, like you have no control
over your your your artistic creation. You know what I'm saying, once you
sign that contract with them, withsome of these people, I don't know

(45:19):
a lot of them, but theywant to tell you that you gotta do.
You know Cat Williams talking about thetype of stuff all the time,
you know what I'm saying. SoI think that's that's more of what it
is with with with in my frommy point of view, dealing with individuals
like that or or or just mysmall, little, little, smaller experience
for doing it. And then justlistening to a lot of people. You

(45:39):
know, people don't keep their word. They don't they don't keep their word.
They might say, oh, yeah, we're gonna do this. You're
gonna get this much, you're gonnaget this x amount right here, and
then on the back end, andthen next thing, you know, once
everything starts off, then it's totallysomething different. You know what I'm saying.
Now you gotta go to court, you know, now you sit in
court, hang it up in courttwo three years. You know what I'm

(46:00):
saying, pan LOOI your fees andthings like that. So I think that's
that's more the reason why I leantowards the independent. That's one of the
reason why you know, I lookat it. Can I my point go
ahead? My city is I lookat it. It's like, right now,
you do something when you go towork. Why do I gotta pay
taxes? Why I'm paying a niggafor my life? Why I'm paying these

(46:21):
people to go to school, theykids to go to college off of what
I really out here living? Whydo like I'm not with that? First
of all, I'm not forgetting nobodynothing. Produce home, y'all. Don't
put in on this now. Ifyou put some bread, we can break
bread. So that's what it's about, homie, owning your master's homely,
owning your rights, owning your owningyour ship, for your family. I'm
doing it for I'm doing it forgeneration of wealth. So how can I

(46:45):
come on? Man? I gottastand for something you feel me or I'm
a fall for anything. And youknow how I'm too old to fall for
anything. So I'm ana stand forsomething you dig and I'm a stands just
what I'm building just for the endof just for my family, and I'm
gonna established this with always. Idon't nobody in the industry. They just
in the way. They just wantto be in your pockets. That's all

(47:05):
they want. They want to rapeniggas. Not to say it in that
fact, you know what I'm saying, But they want to take. They
don't want to give you, feelme, they want to make it look
like they're giving you something. Ireally want it. I want to be
Russell Simmons now. I want tobe puff Daddies. I want that money,
you feel me. I don't wantto look like these artists that's homebry
out here. I really want it, so I put I put it in
work for this, you feel me. Twenty years I'm in here, I'm
still dropping music. I got oneof the hardest independent artists right now,

(47:30):
Kiki too Magical with me. Ialso got my dog just just you know.
I got a lot of artists aroundthe world. Shout out to all
the independent artists you feel me tostaying in South Carolina. My I gotta
plenty people in South Carolina I got. I'm pushing for the whole underground home.
I ain't doing it for just me, just for the underground. I'm
teaching them be independent, go home, be consistent, and you're gonna win.

(47:52):
Can't know. You don't need theindustry what you need them for.
If you if you need the industry, that means you need some knowledge,
you need some awareness. It's allright now. It's about branding. That's
why you see fifty State Coalition becauseit is about branding that you get known.
You get on in any field.I don't care what you're doing.
If nobody know about you, howyou're gonna get on. So it's about

(48:13):
branding. It's about marketing, andthe most biggest thing people forget is marketing.
So that's what I'm standing on marketingand we great love doing it.
So you don't need nobody only.So I know you've done some different films,
both with majors and both with independence. What was your experience like and
what was the differences for you?I think with film it's a little different.

(48:34):
Like with music. Let me saythis independent artists that I don't know
what's going on, not experience. You have to understand that when you sign
that deal and you take that thingup front that's gonna have to pay for
everything behind that, from the bandmembers to the average, the billboards,
to whatever major market, whatever theyput behind you that machine, the money

(48:59):
that you that you think it's allshe was making his pan for that.
So at the end you get screweda little bit most of the time.
So I think that's why sometimes it'sbetter to be independent. If you can
get enough people to put into thatand then you can get one hundred percent
of what you get out of that. I think that's important. But as
an actress, I feel like it'sa catch twenty two because me personally,

(49:22):
I have a mouthpiece. I knowhow to market myself. I know how
to walk in there confidently and gofor what I want, and I know
what I want, and if Idon't get it, I know where to
go to get it, try toget it again, and I won't stop
intil one of those doors open. But with that said, when I have
an agent or any of that behindme, they open those doors that I

(49:45):
can't open for myself. But forme personally, I don't think there's a
door I can't open for myself.I think that I can be my own
agent because I can go in thatroom and I can represent myself. I
do have school behind me, youknow, I have experience behind me,
so I know what I'm doing aswell as if I could walk somebody else
in the room with me and getthem on as well. But it's more

(50:08):
about the budget. To be honest, an agent can get you into something
with a bigger budget and more moneyin your pocket than I could. I
mean, maybe I can, butit's a little easier for me to have
that behind me. You know Iunderstand that. Concur you guys, Let's
get let's get it. Excuse me, excuse me. Let's get a couple

(50:29):
of Let's get a couple of commercialsin before we go. We run it
down to those last minutes. Let'sget a couple of commercials in and then
we'll be back with last comments andhandles and what's next for clay Bow.

better than to turnout. Then itturned out. You other just spurns out.

(51:17):

drive me crazy. She only twentyone fucking when a ninety babies?

you contemplating upgrading your situation. Iknow you contemplating upbreading your duation. Yah.

(51:46):
Oh I'm so taty baby. Yeah, turned on and tune into that
frequency, bring love and like ahealing and my here image difference in these
minor melody, Hey line, don'tknow why your familiar faces and strange places

has been a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful interview with Clay Bow and the fifty
State Coalition. We want to knowwhat's up next for Clay Bow and we
want to show his website. Whilewe're doing that, Claybo talk to us

(54:50):
about what you're about to do next. Right now, I'm just I'm figuring
out how to get into the acta little more to acting, you all
right, I write movies and shitlike that, So I'm just trying to
figure out, not try, butI'm getting into that mode like on the
movie to do. Say, mostrappers when they get old, they transit
into acting. So I'm on mytransition right now and to acting, you

(55:14):
know. So if anybody got somescripts out there, you know, I'm
willing to try any any type ofrole you feel me. Just no,
no, no dress shit. I'mwith my dog camp William. But it's
up on that end. That's what'snext for me. That we got more
content from Keyki, you know,I got more mixed tapes, more albums
and all that shit coming. Iain't gonna ever stop dropping music. That's

(55:34):
just something that that's gonna happen, you know, that's my passion. So
I do that just on accident. So we're gonna keep dropping music, shit,
more clothing lines, more clothing moeverything. We're just going up this
year. You know, we're playingon the twenty twenty five, so we're
just working behind the scenes, youknow, cause that's what count the work
you put in behind them dogs, that's what we get you glorified in public.

(55:57):
So we aiming for that right now. We're just working home behind the
scenes. Dope, dope. Okay, So we got your website up.
Talk to us a little bit. We're gonna scroll through, talk to us
a little bit about the website.Hey man, it's strictly for the underground.
Man. Right now, we're doingtagging up the city Las Vegas,
the West coast with the stickers. They scanning it and look, I'm representing
the underground. If you go onthe website, it ain't just about me.

(56:19):
It ain't just about key kids.About the underground. It's definitely for
networking. Your network is your network, so I built this platform for that
so it's easier for people. Ifyou want to go network with people from
Las Vegas, you ain't got togo on Facebook and look for Las Vegas.
You could go look for people thatYou could go straight to my website
and go to Las Vegas. Youcould go to South Carolina, you could
go to whatever city and state thatyou pick and network with people in that

(56:44):
city right then and there, andyou get network. That's how you get
your break your get your barriers, break outside the barriers for free. I'm
teaching niggas how to network for free. You know the network you could use
this website. It's free to join, it's free to network on here.
You go on there. And mostof the artists that I'm putting on here,
they are actually active in what they'redoing. Every day you going there,
they post it. You feel me, so you can get right in

(57:06):
their city by networking. So I'mteaching people to power your network is your
network, and I'm giving them atool so you know, and I'm promoting
this. This is my website isfor the underground. I'm standing on it.
I'm an og in this shit.I've been doing it for twenty years.
I know how I feel to bethe last artist when you're the hotters
in the room because niggas hate me. I know how I feel to be
underrated. I know the feeling.I'm an artist. I'm not a DJ,

(57:28):
I'm not a promoter, I'm notnone of that. I just do
this shit, good man. ButI'm an artist, So I stand on
shit for artists. So you know, if you might all join the movement,
Jerrymond, because I'm doing this forindependent artists. I'm an artist.
At the end of the day,I got blacklisted because I was a real
nigga in the streets. You feelme. So I'm standing on it that
I cripple they. I want tocripple they system on me. I'm gonna

(57:52):
cripple their system. I'm gonna teachall the independent artists the game and the
cheapest way to get on on me. And it's gonna cost what you think.
If you got the game, Icould teach you how to travel the
world for less of twenty five hundredgo a lot of places on game.
Okay, so we came down tothose last couple of minutes, Claybo.
Just offer the people some words, some words of inspiration, encouragement, something

(58:13):
you just want to tell the peoplereally quick, and then give them your
handles. Oh y'all tell you justlike this, man, wake up every
day. Be bigger than your excuse. You feel me. Love yourself and
kill yourself with stress. You know, with stress, stress ain't nothing but
worrying, and start worrying. Loveyourself, man, put you first.
That ain't being selfish, because yougotta you gotta make sure your being made
