So I'm doing with grace. We actually had a guest,
(06:07):
Franz Cassious. We're gonna actually celebrate him today. He is
one of our living legends, one of our comedian extraordinaries.
We were gonna celebrate his legacy, the fact that he
started out in New York City working at Boston Comedy
Club as a doorman turned comedian, and he's been doing
it since late nineties, early two thousands, all the way
into current You've seen him everywhere. However, he's not here.

is what we do. We have to adjust. So today
I think God said, celebrate you. And you know your
birthday show and your family and your friends do that.
So I know all you guys that are tuning in.
Was tuning in to see the comedian and to talk
to him and get to know his story, and we'll

(07:41):
tick talk videos.
Speaker 6 (07:47):
A lot of you, you only know your grandma at
who she is now. You didn't meet her till she
was fifty. You don't know who the fucks she is.
She just turned to God when you was born. Old
(08:08):
women ain't scared of shit to be a rat in
the house, they'd be like, gone now. Does she just
tell a rat to gone now? And they don't be
scared of no motherfucking burglars either to be a burglar?
Speaker 1 (08:23):
Come in the house? Where's money at? Pitch?
Speaker 5 (08:26):
Who you supposed to be?
Speaker 1 (08:38):
Them?
Speaker 6 (08:38):
Grandmothers know about everything going on and they ain't never
out of the house.
Speaker 1 (08:41):
You ever notice that?
Speaker 6 (08:43):
How the fuck do old people know about everything? They
know about who got shot and everything. You know that
one boy got shot and they said Tony did it?
Speaker 1 (08:56):
This is what I heard now? And they on Instagram?
Speaker 6 (09:05):
You think they don't see you posting them naked pictures
on Instagram? Will be a family gathering your grandmother pull

Speaker 5 (09:16):
I heard you?
Speaker 1 (09:16):
You showed your puss on a computer? M Oh my god,
the legendary Mike Epps.
Speaker 10 (09:31):
Y'all.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
You know, because I was having this comedian here, I
was kind of trying to, you know, stay in the
mood of showing comedy tiktoks. But you know, I do
have another special guest with me. She is flying this
plane with me today as my co pilot. She is
the co host. Her name is miss Ranata Rose. Yeah,
(09:57):
so she actually interview me. Was it last week? It
was last week last week? And what's what's the name
of your show?
Speaker 5 (10:06):
It's called the BBTV Grooves.
Speaker 1 (10:08):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, So how long have you been a
host there?
Speaker 11 (10:12):
It's just starting, so we're re revamping the show. There's
two new shows. One is called on the Slate, where
we interview directors and get a little bit of insight
into just how what their process is, where they started,
and just anything that we decide we want to ask
them pick their brains about.
Speaker 5 (10:31):
And then on BBTV Grooves that's my show.
Speaker 11 (10:34):
We have artists like you come and perform for us live.
So it's kind of something similar to like Tiny Desk
or Colors, but it has an interview aspect so we
get to really know the artists like and it's and
get a really amazing live performance. So I have a
really strong passion for music and I'm excited to get
(10:55):
to talk and speak with people I admire.
Speaker 1 (10:58):
So, yes, you did a excellent job. It was so great.
Speaker 5 (11:01):
You were so great.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
My god, I was my suitcase. I was like, you're
gonna have to come co host with me, so welcome.
We were happy to have you on twenty twenty divisit.

You know, y'all got time. That's all I'm saying.
Speaker 7 (11:23):

Speaker 1 (11:25):
February twenty third, you know, and you know all my
friends and good artists, friends and everything, come celebrate with
me if you're in town in Beverly Hills at the
Sofa Hotel. Yes, yes, and yes, that's like one of
my favorite places. That's why I said like that, the
Self Hotel. It's like a love affair with the Self
ho teale. They've always treated me so nice there, so
(11:46):
I love it there. Shout out to Ryan Cross. Okay,
what else we got next? We didn't have another TikTok
video already?
Speaker 12 (12:00):

Speaker 13 (12:03):
I took the steps, mind you, it's a lot of steps.
How did you even get in the gate? My cousin,
my cousin working the gates? Yeah, By the way, if
I would have known that you let these type of
people up here, I would have been up here a
long time ago. Anyway, I can't is that.
Speaker 1 (12:23):

Speaker 13 (12:26):
What does that have to do with you?
Speaker 1 (12:29):
Is is Nissey house here?
Speaker 13 (12:31):
Yes, busy to my cousin, that's not your family.
Speaker 6 (12:38):

Speaker 7 (12:55):

Speaker 1 (13:02):
Oh my god, Kylie. I like him. Remember he started
out with the with the dear God, can I have
a million dollars? That's how he started his whole little
TikTok career. I'm call it career because we get careers
from TikTok. Don't sleep on it at all. But he
started his whole TikTok thing by you know, having these
(13:23):
dear guy, can I have a million dollar?
Speaker 7 (13:25):
Skits?
Speaker 1 (13:25):
And it went from there. And I love him. He's
just phenomenal. He's He's one of my TikTok favorites. You know,
that's what I want to do. Watch somebody take by Kylie.
What is it? Kali? Okay, so Lyddy Larry's who sent
it in, But Kali is his the comedian's name. I'll
(13:46):
find it again. But that's what I want to do.
People may take my little idea, but that's what I
want to do. I want to do a show of
TikTok influencers and just like have them on the show
and just have them do their thing on the show.
That'll be dope, TikTok and Florence Fluids are sure. I'm
gonna pull that together to get some of the best
ones up here.
Speaker 7 (14:06):
Let's do that. That's it.
Speaker 1 (14:07):
That'd be a great idea. So yeah, when you get
to have it, but you think you're gonna talk about
to God, what you gonna say?
Speaker 5 (14:13):
Man, Oh my gosh, put me on the spot.
Speaker 11 (14:17):
I would say, hello, I'm gonna try to listen more
than I talk at first, you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (14:24):
It's anything you want to ask that you feel like
you can only ask him when you see him.
Speaker 11 (14:31):
I feel like it's the present. I feel like I
feel like you'll you'll like you won't. I feel like this,
You'll be feeling him and he'll be speaking to you
in so many.
Speaker 5 (14:39):
Ways that are just not not words, you know what
I mean.
Speaker 11 (14:41):
I feel like it will just be like a yeah, no,
I just I can't wait to get there. But I
know I feel it's like it's gonna be a whole,
all consuming experience.
Speaker 1 (14:50):
What about you?
Speaker 5 (14:50):
What would you ask?
Speaker 1 (14:51):
I think I'm gonna. I think I'm gonna just remember.
I think I'm gonna, you know, be at home and
I'm like, okay, you know, like this is what it
was all about?
Speaker 7 (15:00):
Okay, yeah, all right?
Speaker 1 (15:02):
Yeah, I remember? Now, how did I do?
Speaker 13 (15:06):
Did I do?
Speaker 9 (15:07):
What? Els?
Speaker 1 (15:07):
What we said?
Speaker 3 (15:08):
We did? I?
Speaker 1 (15:08):
You know, show me my highlights, show me the highlight rails?
Speaker 7 (15:12):
Did I?
Speaker 12 (15:13):
You know? That was?
Speaker 1 (15:14):
That was a crazy time. God, you put me through
you let that thing happen, you know. But it's gonna
be all praises, all praises, all praises, all praises, all
praises to God, all praises.
Speaker 7 (15:28):
Okay, we got another one another take time?
Speaker 1 (15:30):
Who sent that? Who sent that?
Speaker 7 (15:32):
Again? Sent that in again?
Speaker 1 (15:35):
Liddy? Larry Lyddy, Larry you lit Larry, thank you? Okay,
Next tik tak video.
Speaker 14 (15:43):
Bit, why would I be with you and you don't
even know why I left?
Speaker 4 (15:47):
Bitch?
Speaker 14 (15:48):
Your skin fin to be falling all off the bone,
credit find to be ringing up, coin to be throwing
all the fuck up and you think.
Speaker 7 (15:53):
I'm beefing with you.
Speaker 14 (15:55):
No, bitch, you aren't fit because you really don't know
why I left. And you, y'all look this motherfucking good bitch,
and it has caused all that motherfucking confusion. Yeah, you've
been set up, bitch, and that's what you're bad about
because you know you're not sure what's the store to come.
Nothing about me will ever be for you. Actually, I
(16:19):
feel sorry for you, just like the bitches before you
felt sorry for me.
Speaker 7 (16:24):
Stop getting with.
Speaker 14 (16:25):
Another bitch garbage and walking around here thinking like thinking
you really doing something? Oh you have one the biggest
dumpster award.
Speaker 8 (16:40):
Ugly.
Speaker 1 (16:43):
The cherry on top for me in that video is
the ugly because I feel like he's not just talking
about the outside of her, you know what I mean,
or that person, the inside of that person, because you
you know, I feel like in that scenario that he
was speaking about, I feel like, yeah, the other person,
(17:04):
the other woman, the other man really wants to beef
you know, so you know the scenario is what he
was speaking about was if you know, you break up
with somebody and then they go get somebody else, and
then somebody else is beefing with you. Yeah, you're like,
you know what I mean, I to throw them out.
You can have what are you looking at me for?
Speaker 4 (17:26):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (17:27):
May be stalking your pages watching you. Okay. He was like, Okay,
you're trying to figure out why I left. Oh you're
trying to figure out what's going on?
Speaker 9 (17:40):
Now?
Speaker 1 (17:40):
Why you know?
Speaker 15 (17:42):
Now?
Speaker 1 (17:42):
Don't you bitch anyway.
Speaker 7 (17:46):
To me?
Speaker 1 (17:47):
I'm like, you know, the biggest laugh that people get,
or the biggest laugh or the biggest vindication is why
you would do while you had all that smoke for me,
you really should have had it for who you who
you with? You don't understand pay attention, stay focused for real. Sorry,
it's a great birthday, having a good birthday.
Speaker 10 (18:09):
You chime in on that.
Speaker 1 (18:10):
You know you you got on me about my love
life when you did your interview, So yeah, I'm gonna
put you back on this. Have you ever had a
situation have you had have you had a situation where
you threw the trash out. Somebody picked up your trash
and then was mad at you, trying to have smoke.
Speaker 5 (18:26):
With you, and you like, look, I see at that point,
I'm not even paying attention.
Speaker 1 (18:31):
Okay, good answer, good answer. She's unbothered everywhere. But they
be coming for you. You don't be paying attention to the.
Speaker 5 (18:38):
One that I'm not. I'm not gonna lie. I didn't
come for them, but I was a little bit of
a stalker before. Oh you were stalking them just once.
Speaker 1 (18:46):
I'm about the other way around. Now, all right, I'm
here for it.
Speaker 5 (18:55):
No, but I was like twenty two or something like that.
Speaker 11 (18:58):
It was you know, when one of those big big
heartbreads and like you know, and it was it was
actually like it was. Yeah, the person was would say
so opposite of me that I was so I was
so intrigued and I was a little bit obsessed.
Speaker 5 (19:14):
I don't even know I've been obsessed.
Speaker 11 (19:15):
And then ever since then, I can't I can't attach,
like I feel like it just killed a little piece
of me.
Speaker 1 (19:22):
Oh no, I'm happy, I just don't want I'm actually
really you're twenty two, so that's you know, shout out
to the twenty year olds. I mean, we got to
go through it.
Speaker 5 (19:32):
Well I'm not I hope people don't do that as
an adult.
Speaker 1 (19:35):
I mean, but shout out to the twenty two year olds.
Speaker 5 (19:39):
Those are that's a process twenty two year olds.
Speaker 1 (19:45):
No, you were a cute stalker.
Speaker 7 (19:49):
It was cute.
Speaker 1 (19:50):
It was probably it wasn't even dangerous.
Speaker 5 (19:52):
No, yeah, I didn't say anything. I was a silent stalker.
Speaker 1 (19:54):
Okay, I was curious.
Speaker 5 (19:56):
I was just curious. What about you?
Speaker 1 (19:57):
You?
Speaker 5 (19:58):
Okay, somebody come for you before?
Speaker 8 (20:00):
Like that?
Speaker 1 (20:00):
What came from me? Or know the way question talk before?
Speaker 5 (20:05):
Well I'm going to ask both.
Speaker 11 (20:07):
Okay, what it was the first question, the first one,
the way that you asked it, Like, has somebody ever
stalked you after you threw them away?
Speaker 1 (20:15):
I threw away somebody constantly. Really, but we were talking
about their new girl or new well in my case,
their new girl. That's what the that's what he was
talking about. The new person.
Speaker 5 (20:29):
They actually contacted you, No, they're stalking.
Speaker 1 (20:31):
They star they're watching me, the new the new person.
Do they watch? So that's what I was asking you.
So have you had a situation?
Speaker 5 (20:39):
Well, they never contacted me, but they watched, like you.
Speaker 1 (20:42):
Don't know if they want. No, that's not social media.
You look up and they on your page, but then
you're looking No, no, no, you look up on your page.
Yeah I know, but I.
Speaker 11 (20:57):
Literally I'm so technologically like I'm not a techie person.
Speaker 1 (21:01):
So like, no, you like I literally got to search
for it. You see them on your story, they're watching
your story. Yeah you know TikTok shows your news on
your page. Yeah I know, yeahtok though, Okay, s.
Speaker 11 (21:17):
I really I really don't, so like this is this
is like why, this is what I've been wanting to do,
like YouTube and all this stuff for so many years.
But literally I couldn't press the little buttons to upload
the ship and I have so much ship.
Speaker 5 (21:28):
But that's why I have a whole production.
Speaker 11 (21:29):
I'm so glad that people are pressing the buttons for
me because I don't do the technology, like I'm I
don't know why.
Speaker 1 (21:35):
Oh my god, no, But I was asking, Okay, so
have I stalked before? Okay, yeah, yes, but it wasn't
after the relationship. It was during the relationship.
Speaker 8 (21:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (21:46):
Yeah, I was in my twenties as well. Yeah, okay,
late twenties, I wasn't you know as young as you
were when you were making those misjudging But I was
in my twenties and I just didn't believe him. If
I tell the story, he'll know it's like, whoever, I
(22:06):
don't even know if this person watches me. So I
was in my twenties. But anyway, so this person, they
took care of their parents. One of their parents was ill,
so he had me on a schedule as to when
we would see each other, like every for two years,
for two years. Yeah, I put up with it for
two years. For two years, I knew exactly what day
(22:27):
and what time I was going to see him because
it was scheduled. Now I talk to him every day,
but there was like two days of the week that
was dedicated to me. Right, So I'm like, this dude
is playing me. And you know, his parent was sick,
and he did move back in with his parent to
take care of his parents. So that was the fact,
But it just everything the way he moved seemed really weird.
(22:52):
Some one time, me and my girlfriend we growed up.
We put up to his house because he said he
wasn't going to be home. He said he was going
to be out with his I don't know, family doing
something at the doctor or something or whatever. We pulled
up to his house and we just set in the
cut and his car just sat there the whole time.
And I was calling him while, you know, while he
was watching his car, and I was like hey, He's
like hey, I said, where are you at? He was like,
(23:12):
I told you I had something to And we sitting there.
We watched the car for like an hour because we
was trying to see if somebody was going to come in,
and we was just trying to see what was up,
you know, and nothing, just nothing. It was just nothing
this mission. But yeah, that was my vision of stalking.
That's no, I didn't. He never knew. He never came out,
nobody ever went in. We were just sitting there looking
(23:33):
at his car. Yeah, I don't know why though, I
have no idea to this day, Hey why was you
lying about that little sittling? But yeah, I was pretty
young and I wanted to know, like, hey, what is
he really doing? What is he really up to? Is
he really taking care of his parents or is he
just got me out here looking stupid? So me and
my friend we did a stakeout.
Speaker 5 (23:52):
It's fair, that's fair. Sometimes you need stuff to do.
Speaker 14 (23:57):
I did.
Speaker 5 (23:58):
If you drive by people's houses, we.
Speaker 1 (24:02):
Did a whole stay out. Yeah, that's the that's the
only time though, the only time. The only thing I
learned after that, You know, it's not that serious, you know,
you know if you stay with him for a while. Well,
(24:22):
this is the particular one. I left to move to
l A to pursue my career. So you can kind
of say that all this fair love and war, you know, like, yeah,
so that's that shout out to Okay, we got it anymore?
Please say we got no more? Okay, this is what
(24:44):
we can do. We can show did we get the music?
Did the music video ever come through? The video with
the NAMN Show?
Speaker 7 (24:51):
Did that come through?
Speaker 8 (24:53):
Okay?
Speaker 4 (24:54):
Mm hm mm hmm.
Speaker 5 (24:56):
So what what what are your plans for your next year?
Speaker 1 (24:59):
Like it's your birth.
Speaker 5 (25:02):
Yeah, what do you hope for for this year?
Speaker 1 (25:05):
You know, I've never made wishes on my birthday, never,
I I don't know, I don't know, I don't know.
It's not that I don't know what I'm doing. I
just haven't really wished for anything, you know. I just
pray that God blesses all of my endeavors. I am
(25:26):
getting ready to start school. I'm getting ready to take
a class. It's a it's a it's in the medical field.
So I'm getting ready to get certified in the medical
field to do a specific thing so that I can
always have something to fall back on or whatever they say,
or something to keep me going. I'm gonna say, fall back,
something to keep me going. I'm doing that this year.
(25:49):
I'm continuing obviously in the music as always. I'm continuing
in the podcast world. Hope hopefully land a couple of
movies this year. So these are things that I pray about,
you know, but I haven't wished for anything. I just
asked God to bless my endeavors and I hope that
it aligns with, you know, what he has for me,
(26:10):
the purpose, what my purpose is. And I realized that
my purpose, you know, the singing and the acting and
the modeling and all those things, those are bonuses. Those
are things that I get to have fun doing. But
at the end of the day, I'm a healer. So
that's what I want to be able to continue to do.
And hopefully I can use these avenues to continue to
heal people. And also, I mean I want people to
(26:32):
hear my voice and know my story so that they
can use it as something to inspire them to move
forward or even maybe help them in the same situation
that they're in. So if I if they relate to
me and I'm able to tell them something to help them,
that would be a blessing and that's also healing.
Speaker 11 (26:53):
If you ask me, it's so funny to me that
you would say fall back on because I remember when
we were speaking before, you had mentioned that singing was
your very first job ever, Like, I mean, that's so
unique to you and so like to there that I
feel like, there's.
Speaker 5 (27:10):
No that's a life.
Speaker 1 (27:12):
Yeah. Yeah, because what you learn I feel like, especially
as an independent entertainer. I'm not going to just say artist,
but an independent entertainer, what you learn is everything else
you do facilitates your dream. So when the money is
(27:32):
slow in the industry or you're not making it the
way you need to, you always have to have something
that you can utilize to push you forward. So I
think when we take other jobs or we take things
outside of our creative endeavors, I think it's just something
to help facilitate what we really love doing.
Speaker 7 (27:52):
You know.
Speaker 1 (27:52):
Some In other words, in Layman's terms. You know, we
have to invest in ourselves, and that investment might look
like going to school to learn a different trade so
that you can always keep money so you can continue
to invest in your dreams. People feel like making it
is Beyonce, like that's the only level of making it.
(28:13):
There are so many careers out here that they're actually thriving,
making more than just a living, making more than just
your average salary. And there are even people out here
that are making maybe one hundred and thirty hundred and
fifty thousand dollars a year doing what they love doing.
That's making it. You know, everybody's making it. It's not
(28:34):
the same, you know. And so if I can get
up every morning and find a reason to make money
so that I can keep pouring it into my dreams,
I've made it.
Speaker 7 (28:45):
You know.
Speaker 1 (28:45):
I think the only thing that I that I haven't
done yet, that I think I want to do is
in a stadium full of you know, thousands and thousands
of people all there to see me sing and talking.
I want to talk to them about God and I
want to sing songs to uplift them. So that's the
only thing that I haven't done and I'm not saying
(29:07):
that it can't be in a concert with other people,
like other people could be there on the on the bill,
but for damn sure, they all came to see me,
you know. That's the only thing. Otherwise than that, I've
toured around the world. I've you know, sang on many stations, stages,
I've worked with, you know, the some of the top
producers in the industry, including having shouting him out in
(29:30):
a long time, including Malik Yusuf, the eight time Grammy
Award winning producer and writer, and Sean Penn. We just
had them on the show last week. Multi Platinum, multi
gold as scot winner, be on My Winner as well
as Grammy nominee. So I've done that. I've put out
(29:56):
records off their records after records. I've influenced people, I
vocal coached. I've uh just done the things that I
said I wanted to do musically and in the entertainment industry.
And hell, some celebrities know my name, you know, so
when I walk out on the stage, they call my
(30:17):
name just like I called Air. So these are things
that you know, when I when I think about making it, Yeah,
these are things that I was able to check off
my list, you know.
Speaker 7 (30:26):
So yeah mm hmmm.
Speaker 10 (30:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (30:35):
So if that looked like a like a one woman show, No,
I don't need a one woman show.
Speaker 1 (30:42):
What do you mean like on stage in the stadium
like no, no, no, I mean well, so like it could,
like I said, it could feature other so other artists
can be on the bill, maybe people that would fit
in my genre, you know, on music, and so they
can come out to see this concert full of people.
(31:03):
But you know, I know that I want I know it.
I know it to be that. Okay, so let's just
make it simple. I'm the headliner. Okay, I'm the headliner,
and you know, other people can be there on the bill,
but I'm the headliner. And people can't wait to hear
what I have to say and hear what I have
to sing. That that would be good. That was really good.
(31:25):
And we have a few chatters that wants to say
something or wants to ask questions. Let's see Cora. She's like, yay,
let me see all her questions. She says, where can
I find your music? She can find it on every platform,
every digital platform out there, be it Spotify, Instagram, I mean, well,
(31:48):
you can find it on Instagram. You can Instagram, TikTok,
Apple music, wherever you like to look. You just type
in a mirror the songstress and at the risk of
sounding vain, just google me. And then how long have
I been in the industry. That's a good question. Well,
(32:09):
I got my first deal when I was nineteen. It
was a label called Provocative Records, and I got discovered by,
well not discovered, but my first producer producer in the industry,
by the name of Michael Wave. He put together a
group called Cherry Bomb and I was the cherry in
the group, so it was three of us, and that
(32:33):
was my first taste of the actual music industry. And
so I was nineteen, So it's a long time. I'm
not about to tell you how many years, because y'all
ain't gonna start counting adding up same year my son
was born. That's all I'm gonna give y'all. But anyway, yeah,
so I've been around for a long time. I'm a
(32:53):
little bit of a dinosaur. But the good thing is
that every time new people discovered me, they go it's
a brand new artist. And although sometimes I thought that
was a negative thing, Like I've been doing this for
a long time man. But it's a great thing because
being fresh and new to different people, you know, is
a great thing. And I'm sure if I ever reach
(33:16):
a Beyonce status, I'm sure they're going to say this
new artist that just came out of nowhere when we
know that I've been grinding, you know what I mean?
So yeah, so that's a good thing. What else? But
I'll shout out some people. Shout out Cora, shout out Chrissy,
(33:37):
shout out Diamond, Pressure, pressure, who else? Remy music? He says, hello,
Firefire says you look cute?
Speaker 7 (33:47):
Who else? Who else?
Speaker 1 (33:48):
Y'all ask some questions. I want to shout out Cash
and Vegas, Andre Atlantis the band. Oh my god, you guys,
I haven't seen you guys in a long long time.
Come out to the birthday party celebration Sofa Tale Monday,
nine o'clock. You know what it is. Atlanta's the band.
Speaker 14 (34:08):
You know what it is.
Speaker 1 (34:09):
I haven't seen you guys in a long time. Loving
me different, I promise Hello, Hello, she says hello, King
Modulation Joint, Cindy nails, she does my nails and lash
sendy nel shout outs to Cindy. Neil's over there in Chadsworth.
Now lashes and Neils is a lash and nails spot.
So she does she did these things. She did these
(34:31):
for me and you know she did the lashes for
me looking very natural. Thank you. Shout out to Cindy
William Matt Oh William manamme he's been Man, you've been
in the cup for a long time. William. Thank you
so much for your support all the time. Thank you
so much, so much, so much, so much. You've been
You've been rocking with you know me for quite some time.
(34:53):
Thank you. Body By Rolls. Shout out to Rose. He
was one of my producers as well in Seattle when
I live in Seattle, and now he's a world renowned
bodybuilding champion. So shout out to body bodied by Rose. Rose.
Speaker 5 (35:08):
Oh run.
Speaker 1 (35:11):
We did that there, okay, And that's all the shout
outs we have. You said that you have anybody want
to shout out anybody on your life.
Speaker 11 (35:18):
I want to do it, okay, okay, just taut ya.
Speaker 1 (35:24):
Shout out to t A Williams. I met him. He
did one of my first video shoots when I when
I first when I moved back to La So I
moved back to La in twenty sixteen. I was here
from two thousand and three to two thousand and five
or two thousand and six, and then I moved and
then I came back. It took me all the way
to twenty sixteen to get back in La So he.
Speaker 5 (35:48):
Can't Hide, Can't what's the story behind that song?
Speaker 1 (35:50):
Can't Hide? It was a producer down in San Diego.
He's a musician, a singer, songwriter, and producer by the
name of Verdi Verdeal shout out Verdeal Smith. And I've
always had my studio in my house, so he used
to come over for band rehearsal and then he was like, Hey,
let's cut a song. And I was like, all right,
so we you know, we we created, We wrote and
(36:11):
created that song, Can't Hide. And it's a love song.
It's a love story. It's you know, but it's kind
of when I was really discovering energy. You know how
energy moves, the synchronicity of energy, and just really acknowledging
Sometimes somebody does it to you so well that when
they walk into the room, just the presence of that person,
(36:31):
it does something to your energy. Your energy connects, your
spirits meet each other right away, and you can't hide it.
That type of attraction, that type of love, that type
of synergy. You can't hide it. It's all over your face,
you know. I think in the song I described just
like a tidal wave overwhelmeding. I just thought I thought
about damn, you know that type of you know feeling.
(36:55):
And I love love. I'm a pisces. I love love.
I love talking about love.
Speaker 5 (37:00):
You have some of the most interesting beats. Uh how
do you how do you pick them? And who is
there a specific person that that?
Speaker 1 (37:08):
Oh? My production, I have incredible musicianship.
Speaker 4 (37:13):
Yes, I have.
Speaker 1 (37:16):
All Platinum, Plaque and or Grammy Award winning producers on
my projects. So everyone I've worked with has at least
has a platinum. I mentioned Malik Yusif earlier today. He
Kanye West just about everything Kanye West has done. Malik
has penned on it. Beyonce. He has a Grammy for
(37:39):
Beyonce's Lemonade album. Rihanna the music that Rihanna hasn't released.
He has at least three albums with Rihanna. But anybody
you can just about name Malik Yusuf is somewhere in
the you know, snow, Uh, snow Allegra, Tianna Taylor, just
about anybody you can name. Malik has you know, work
(38:00):
with them, and so he's one of the producers. Also
Sean Penn, he's done a lot of my music. August Alcina,
he was he got his first UH Grammy with August
Alcina Uh and Trey Songs and Chris Brown and he
was trained by Betty Wright as a writer and producer,
(38:22):
and so he has I've done at least seven songs
with him. And then there is uh Chris Davis. He
calls itself Davis Chris. He actually met him when he
was in the l A Music production school and we
cut the song No Regrets at that school. But the
dopest thing about it is when I walked into that
(38:43):
LA School music School of Music, there was nothing but
gold and platinum plaques on the wall from all the
students that had graduated. But they got on before they graduated.
And so that's the and and we created no Regrets
in that in that space or whatever. So and also
love You Back, and it's another one that he did,
(39:07):
oh access denied, but Sean Penn did suitcase. Yeah, So
all of everybody is everybody is everything. So and that's
a blessing. That's why I say, you know, I can
say that I did that, you know, and that's something
I asked God for and God granted that. So that
(39:28):
was wonderful. We got we do got the NAWN video. Okay,
so we're gonna show that.
Speaker 7 (39:34):
So what was that?
Speaker 1 (39:36):
Two weeks ago? Now, three weeks ago now, we did
the NAMN Show and we and uh Stalita color Stalita
the resident Diva. She put together and production a production
called Ladies of Soul where we did a tribute to
our favorite artists that we were able to imitate and
(39:56):
you know play. So they put this production on at
the NAMN Show. It was a big deal, a big thing,
and I'm pretty proud of it. So we have some
more footage from that that we can shows.
Speaker 4 (41:05):
I want to be a spy.
Speaker 8 (41:13):
When so do.
Speaker 7 (41:20):
Come?
Speaker 4 (41:23):
You want to gay? Okay, don't you want to happen?
Speaker 8 (41:33):
Don't wait somebody, don't say you want a man? Don't
don't you want to say you want to last want
the legends? Don't want to say you want to when somebody.
Speaker 10 (42:22):
Up hiding?
Speaker 12 (42:39):
When a heges my heart so far.
Speaker 4 (42:47):
You won't to me, come to me? Why why come
to me beg my s father is world to me?
Speaker 7 (43:16):
Like do what?
Speaker 4 (43:17):
Mere give your mom.
Speaker 8 (43:26):
Take sum I can't not have you all say, oh
(44:03):
katy up the tag.
Speaker 4 (44:09):
He's turn let me I'm not to want me to
want you with my heart and the wh so falter
(44:50):
a fault.
Speaker 12 (44:52):
Drop the toper around and burn her up to drop water.
Speaker 4 (45:00):
Here go what fir family? So I'm say let me
say not firs family.
Speaker 5 (45:22):
So say.
Speaker 4 (45:25):
So you want to wat what? I know what? I
(45:47):
don't know? Days you your boon, I'm doing that.
Speaker 12 (45:56):
You not?
Speaker 5 (46:04):
I'm sorry.
Speaker 1 (46:25):
Oh man, right on that one. I almost gonna let
that one. Excuse me, guys, yes, give it up for
the nown show. There's you know you guys can watch
the whole video on my Facebook page at a Mire
the Songstress. It's a, it's a, it's a lot more.
(46:46):
It's beautiful. That was just the beginning. I think we
had three more girls after that and oh my god,
they ripped the stage. So check that out. Go on
my Facebook page at a Mire the song Stress. We
had a great time. Shout out to the NAMN Show,
shout out to Stalita and set out to all the
divas that grace the stage that day. You know, they
(47:08):
were there, all of them. Whitney was there, Ritha was there,
all of the they were all there in spirit and
it was a it was a great time. So speaking
of that, speaking of speaking of spirit, speaking of great time.
So you act as well, right, is it?
Speaker 5 (47:24):
Yeah? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (47:25):
Inspiring actor.
Speaker 5 (47:27):
Yeah, yeah, I've been acting.
Speaker 11 (47:29):
So I was little, I just did Shakespeare and all
kind of a little theater and then moved out here
when I was eighteen to be an actor and then
fell in love with music and they just did music
for a while, then gave it all up and then
became a host.
Speaker 5 (47:39):
But no, it's all coming back. I'm doing I'm doing
it all now.
Speaker 12 (47:41):
Ye.
Speaker 5 (47:41):
Yes. Just being accountable, keeping my word. That's the main.
Speaker 11 (47:44):
That's the main, uh thing in my life is just
being honest with myself and everyone and just showing up
and things happen.
Speaker 5 (47:51):
When when you when I slowed down.
Speaker 12 (47:55):
And just.
Speaker 7 (47:57):
Was more honest, you know, I don't, I don't.
Speaker 1 (48:00):
I don't think you gave it up. I think you
probably revamped, you know. And now I think this like
a podcast platform, and with you being on a platform
as well, it gives it. It's like our demo real.
Speaker 11 (48:14):
Most definitely I am. I am shooting a horror film
this mid March. Okay, and we're doing some movies with
t I'm doing some.
Speaker 5 (48:21):
Movies with t I so this year. So I'm gonna
I guess, I guess I'm more of an actor.
Speaker 7 (48:26):
Congratulations, she said, you're doing a movie with t I
T O t A.
Speaker 1 (48:29):
Oh sorry, I thought you said yeah, shout out.
Speaker 5 (48:34):
This visions.
Speaker 1 (48:35):
So yes with t I. Yes. You know we we
name an acclaiming on this show. For sure, for sure. Okay,
I want to give you a scenario that you can
act out for the people. Now, it's gonna you like
imprompt don't improv. Yeah, you can use anything. You can
use anything as a prop, including me. You can mise me.
(48:57):
You could, you know, I mean, you could use anything
in this room. But let me think of the scenario. Okay,
we've already talked about the relationships, right, So okay, what if, oh, oh, cheering,
What if someone showed up to your house and they
(49:21):
were fourteen and they said that you were their mother?
Speaker 5 (49:31):
I say, you're wrong.
Speaker 1 (49:33):
It could be a girl or a boy you're choosing.
Speaker 5 (49:37):
I would probably take them to a mental.
Speaker 7 (49:38):
And usually asking the question you're going to act?
Speaker 1 (49:42):
Oh? Okay, they said they've done research and you don't remember,
like you know, maybe there.
Speaker 5 (49:51):
Was a time in your life that I don't know
the possibility of.
Speaker 10 (49:54):
Yah.
Speaker 1 (49:56):
Yeah, so you're but there are fourteen? Wanted to be
a girl? Little boy? You choose?
Speaker 11 (50:03):
Man, I've always wanted a boy. Now now I want
for some reason, I wanted to be a girl.
Speaker 5 (50:08):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (50:08):
So she shows up and she says that you are
her mother, and she's been looking all over for you,
and she sews up at your door and see.
Speaker 5 (50:30):
What's your name? No, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (50:32):
I would probably man, you gotta go into gear. I'll
play the little girl.
Speaker 5 (50:37):
Okay, okay, okay, Hello.
Speaker 7 (50:44):
Hiiight are you miss Rose?
Speaker 10 (50:50):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (50:51):
Who are you?
Speaker 5 (50:51):
Where's a? Are you here with somebody?
Speaker 7 (50:57):
No? I kind of ditch school to be here?
Speaker 14 (51:00):
What?
Speaker 11 (51:01):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (51:02):
To be here?
Speaker 7 (51:03):
Yes? Why because I think you're my mom?
Speaker 8 (51:11):
No?
Speaker 5 (51:15):
Why would you think that I'm your mom?
Speaker 7 (51:19):
Did you go to Oakland High School?
Speaker 10 (51:23):
Yes?
Speaker 7 (51:27):
Did you date a boy named James?
Speaker 10 (51:31):
Yes?
Speaker 5 (51:33):
Yes, I did dated boy named James.
Speaker 7 (51:37):
Why did you give your baby up because you were
sixteen years old?
Speaker 10 (51:50):
What are you doing all the way in La.
Speaker 7 (51:56):
I've been looking for you all my life, and I
kept getting my parents to move here so that I
can find you and ask you why.
Speaker 10 (52:19):
It wasn't that I didn't want you. I couldn't do
it by myself.
Speaker 7 (52:33):
That they said you were a singer? Is that where
I get my voice from?
Speaker 10 (52:42):
Honey, let me hear you say.
Speaker 7 (52:46):
And scene.
Speaker 1 (52:58):
I was trying to cool.
Speaker 4 (53:01):
Yeah, give it up.
Speaker 1 (53:05):
That was a great birthday present.
Speaker 5 (53:06):
Thank you, Thank you for being amazing.
Speaker 1 (53:09):
I was like, wow, you are you are?
Speaker 12 (53:14):
No?
Speaker 4 (53:14):
You are you?
Speaker 14 (53:15):
Are?
Speaker 12 (53:16):
You?
Speaker 9 (53:16):
Are?
Speaker 4 (53:16):
You?
Speaker 7 (53:17):
Are you for us?
Speaker 1 (53:20):
You hear this voice right now?
Speaker 5 (53:21):
Mom wants you to say it last.
Speaker 1 (53:28):
You know, my love. That's color alone.
Speaker 4 (53:31):
That's what I would have said.
Speaker 1 (53:34):
At that point in time. That's what I would have said. No,
I'm just kidding, Okay, you know it's down to those
last few minutes. We got through it, Tony.
Speaker 7 (53:42):
We did it.
Speaker 1 (53:43):
We did an impromptu birthday shut We's down to those
last few minutes. And usually in the wrap up, I
want to know. Usually I asked what's next? So I
know you said you were working on some films with T. A.
Williams SHADOWT T. Williams. What is?
Speaker 12 (53:59):
What?
Speaker 7 (54:00):
What else is?
Speaker 2 (54:00):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (54:01):
Can we look forward to from you.
Speaker 5 (54:02):
Well, I'm really really excited about BBTV Grooves. Like just
last week we.
Speaker 11 (54:08):
Had Alonza Williams, who is the godfather of West Coast
hip hop, and he like he had a really great
conversation with me, and I was just like it like
it was he had said that he was gonna be
told I didn't know this, but he had told TA
that he was gonna give twenty minutes, and so I
come in.
Speaker 5 (54:26):
I'm all prepared. I'm like, So we're.
Speaker 11 (54:29):
Talking and we're like twenty minutes in, we're like they're
like sound sound, the sounds fucked.
Speaker 4 (54:33):
Up and.
Speaker 1 (54:35):
He's like, who said the sound was the TA?
Speaker 11 (54:38):
We're live streaming and stuff, and I was like I
was just like there's no way, Like I'm in my head.
I'm like like this is not happening.
Speaker 5 (54:45):
Like this is the best conversation I've ever had. This
is cool, not ever happened.
Speaker 1 (54:48):
I was like, so, well, maybe I don't know.
Speaker 11 (54:51):
But then but then he was like no, I'm cool,
Like we're gonna start over. So we spent like another
hour and was there and so TA was like he
was like he was totally cool to be there. He
was definitely new that I was invested in, like super
excited about the history of hip hop and like and
just I'm just so excited that I'll be able to
be and that this is my favorite thing. I love
that I get to talk to people, highlight people, new artists,
(55:12):
well artists have been around a long time, people that
we believe should have more shine. And just like I
think that when people know that you're actually curious, that
they're not afraid to spend time with you. So like,
I feel really lucky and blessed to be a part
of this project. So that's what I'm really focused on.
And just like I really love the direction that it's going.
(55:34):
We're going, and so I finally feel like I have
a team that really believes and supports us, the people,
the new artists that they they hired, and and so
I just trust someone and be able to go along
for the ride and just be present.
Speaker 5 (55:48):
And I believe they're steering the ship in a cool way.
Speaker 1 (55:51):
Yes, yes, So okay, how often does the show air well?
How often you guys tape and then how often does
it air well?
Speaker 11 (55:59):
So I'm not sure we do that portion of it
every Sunday. The interview segment with with with the performances,
but there's also going to be a reaction part of
it where I watch videos and react to both music
videos that I haven't seen before and then current events
and news, and I'm it's all on the big screen.
Speaker 5 (56:20):
So it's kind of fun.
Speaker 11 (56:21):
They're just like they're just working with us and and
feel like, uh, I feel like it should be fun.
Speaker 1 (56:27):
So tell tell the people where you where they can
watch it, where they can see it.
Speaker 11 (56:31):
Currently it's on Roku and Roku and YouTube, bb TV yes,
bb TV groups, but it's a black b okay.
Speaker 1 (56:39):
Be okay tv okay, And so is there a certain
time and day that they can go check it out?
Speaker 2 (56:46):
You know?
Speaker 11 (56:47):
It's all so this is the first this is like
the first month of us filming that they're us doing
the revamp. They're gonna just put out episodes they've they've done,
they had it for they had it going for a while.
So I'm not sure how frequently or how they're doing it.
I think it's all they're they're seeing. It's they're just
they're kind of still figuring it out.
Speaker 1 (57:07):
Okay, Okay, So you'll let us know, you'll let us know,
you'll let you know, but it is happening, okay. And
then where can where can they find you? Where can
they find you? And where can when they are ready
to release the episodes, where can they go?
Speaker 5 (57:20):
Oh yeah?
Speaker 11 (57:21):
So uh me, I am toases eye roses like the
nursery rhy Moses supposes is toases roses. But Moses supposes
I erroneously uh, because that's on Instagram and x and
then Nanda Rose on Facebook. Black Beauty TV is where
it's all gonna air.
Speaker 5 (57:42):
I don't.
Speaker 11 (57:42):
I'm not a part of that, thank goodness, because I'm
not a techian, okay.
Speaker 1 (57:46):
And then what would you like to leave the people with?
This is the time that we leave the people with
our last comments and just anything that you want to
say inspiration.
Speaker 5 (57:56):
I want to say, happy fucking birthday.
Speaker 1 (57:58):

because like here, but like, oh my gosh, there's just
some of the things about like how you say that
you came up with song like just such an incredible interview,
Like I mean, there was there's tears, guys. Also just
like be honest, there's so many brilliant moments and and
you just came in with such a sweet, positive heart
(59:05):
and just like I had studied you before and so
I felt like really calm about like about speaking with you,
because your energy is so amazing, but you came in
straight with just advice and and sweetness and and it
just went so well.
