(01:23):
A bread bat, I having a fall, my bam. It's
not fair that bare the bon stop.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
That's a Thursday.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
I'm going up. I got a present, fad. I'm going yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
Hey, this has been from two guys talking smack. Let's
do a surprise ambush. I'm my co host Dan. No,
let's call Dan right now.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
Dan.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
Hey, Dan, this is Ben and I'm doing a surprise ambush.
Let's I wanted to do a here, you.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
Wanted to go away?
Speaker 2 (02:40):
How's it going, Dan?
Speaker 1 (02:42):
Well, what a week? I gotta tell you. It's been
a week. I think I was queased in two months
into one week. And it's very where I can say that.
Speaker 2 (02:51):
Wow, that's really a busy week for you, my friend.
Speaker 1 (02:55):
Yea even pick a new car? You? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (02:58):
You picked up a car?
Speaker 1 (03:01):
Yeah right, who's out effects you have them?
Speaker 2 (03:04):
Keep your cherries stuff?
Speaker 1 (03:07):
Oh my god, I each age appropriate. I needed a
car to get up and back from La Fayette. The
motorcycle just ain't happening on those rides. So I broke
down and got it.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
I have a jeep.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
Cherokee, God, Cherokee. Now room for the dogs.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
Well, that's good. The boys could have a good time. Now,
that's good because they probably Coco loves probably riding in
a car. Oh, I got.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
Something something that I've follow yesterday just in case you are.
Are you keeping her in the passenger seat when you
ride or in the back seat.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
I'm keeping her in a passenger seat.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
I have it. I was over one of the shelters
and they have these blue I want to call them
vomit bags. It's an omessis bag and it's usually for
like people who have airsickness or you know, they're you know,
uncontrollable throealling up or whatever. It's four inches vibe. It's
(04:11):
wide enough for a dog and a snout. I'm looking
at this coow you got any free samples, and sure
enough I got a free sample yesterday.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
That's great. Yes, that's great.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
It's mudline and it's a blue bag. I know it
was made for people that I thought of you, and
I got an extra one next time I see you.
Speaker 2 (04:31):
Oh, that's that's good.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
Not for you, that's for her.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
She's she's a real good girl. I don't know which
she is. This thing about she likes to go by
my ear and lick my ear and ear like a
little bar little barking and stuff. So I do the
same things to her.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
They were liking, why people are kicked out? You don't
know my language? What are you saying?
Speaker 2 (04:58):
And she just loves it. Yeah, I mean, yes, we
have this little thing. She's just a good girl. That's
good girl. Hey, I just played some Aussie for crazy
training because we really didn't talk about Ozzie was part
of the week too. Yeah, I just I just didn't
know idea inner Aussie and me was like, I mean,
(05:18):
I don't know. I mean, I I think he didn't.
It was in too much pain that he committed. I
think he flew. I think he flew to Switzerland and
they they helped him to suicide, a suicide, like I.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
Think, I mean, well, it's time to go. It's time
to go.
Speaker 2 (05:38):
Yeah, I mean I know some a lot of people
don't like that. I mean, I just think it's if
it's his time, then you know, let's let's let's do
what he wanted.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
He did it.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
He did a concert for Parkins's disease. I think he
did a free concert. He didn't make any money, and
so I just think, you know, he was in pain,
and so you know, I don't know, how do you
feel about that? I really I im.
Speaker 1 (06:07):
But if this is something that you think seriously that
you're not going to come back from, and you put
it in your living trust or you're living will, or
you know, you make it known that if you get
to a certain point, you're done. I kind of agree
with that, But it's all a guy to be. It's
not like, Okay, it looks like he's gonna go quick,
get a get a napkin and a pen and we'll
(06:31):
scratch something out. If you know that that's how you
want to leave this this ball of life, that that
you're right, it's free will, I know that it gets difficult.
You know. We work on trying to live as long
as we can so that the last five years of
our lives is nothing but misery.
Speaker 2 (06:53):
Yeah, I know that.
Speaker 1 (06:55):
You know, you go back to doctors and medications and
prolonged mean things and not curing things, and it's like, hey,
I hope I live that long.
Speaker 2 (07:08):
Me too, I really do. I mean, I hope I
live that long. It I just want to live my
life the best way I can. Not anymore has so
more drama. And I mean, if if it's my turn
to go to take me Jesus, and I'm ready to go.
I mean, everybody read, I mean I read.
Speaker 1 (07:27):
I got three words ready before my energy uses follow fun.
It's called God forgive me.
Speaker 2 (07:33):
Yes, I mean I'm not I'm the most perfect man
in the world. But I don't think anybody is the
most perfect man in the world except Jesus Christ. I mean,
we've done a lot of stupid things.
Speaker 1 (07:44):
I have.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
I mean, can I have a list of stupid things?
I hask for forgiveness all the time. Yeah, I just
want to know. I mean, I know what I want.
I want to be Okay, this sounds crazy. I want
to be cremated. I want to get my ashes. Is
with my dogs one of my dogs or two of
my dogs?
Speaker 1 (08:05):
And just what are we what are we going to
do with those things? After you passed, You're not gonna
be around. You won't care. But you know, I mean,
I want to know about that.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
I would I wanted to be dropped in the ocean
and be part of a reef. So I my so,
I live on forever as a reef. And you know,
you know, so so my so I would be there
forever because you know, can touch with custollic society. I
forgot what a society is called. But you know people,
you know, they give him a case, they throw them
(08:35):
in the middle of the oceans, and you know they
make man man man may reefs out of that. So
I think that'd be a cool thing. You know, I'd
be in the ocean.
Speaker 1 (08:44):
So if you died before we go in our England
to Sweden, to Italy to the Isle of Man next
month or next year, and he's you like me to
bring you a urine so I can at least jump
you in I'm sorry, better you in UH in Italy.
Why don't you think about it? Write it down. I
(09:05):
think it's good that we prepare for others, because this
is honestly, I'm not a fatalist. But if I was
to die right now and somebody had to kick in
the door and take a look at the place, what
are you leaving them to clean up? You know, I'm
looking at a ship to call playing around, So I'm
(09:27):
back into UH. Every time it's tame for garbage days,
throw an extra one thing out. It's not for me,
it's for them.
Speaker 2 (09:36):
Yeah, I don't know. I mean, I found my late
mother in law's body because everybody else was too busy working.
Because my ex wife to be called me up and said,
I can't get in touch with my mother. My sister
can't get in touch with my mother. And that was
at work.
Speaker 1 (09:54):
So I.
Speaker 2 (09:56):
I got love just swinging.
Speaker 1 (09:58):
By thinking the see if the phone is still connected.
You know my duty, you know, I get it. I
did that morning.
Speaker 2 (10:08):
I did that in the pyramid. The nine one one
guys go and you gotta give your chest compressions, chest compressions,
and yeah, I was like, okay, sure, all the firemen here.
She lives in the condo, so I go, I gotta
let the firemen in. So we let the firemen in.
Speaker 1 (10:23):
And that's what we do. We do whatever it's called
the golden hour, from the time of injury to the
time of medical support. Every ten minutes the brain doesn't
get ox again, you lose ten of that brain activity.
So you want to keep chess compressions always until the
(10:47):
quote unquote mandatory. You know, when the bus getstuff the ambulance.
That's when we do a soft handoff. But without doing
the chest compressions, the brain turns into cheese. Even if
she isn't kind of like just clinically dead or just
just recently, you know, like it's a good idea to
just keep just uh compressions and keep the blood flowing
(11:09):
through the brain the heart. May I agree with that,
but you know, if there's a chance you can get
past the hurt, it must be not killing off the brain.
I know.
Speaker 2 (11:17):
I mean that was uh, you know my mother, My
mother was well, how can I say, At first we
love we hate each other. At the end we loved
each other. So that's how I can say my mother
in law because she spoke no English and I spoke
no Polish, so we didn't like each other. But now, yeah,
(11:39):
but you know what, we learned to love each other.
So that's what that's said.
Speaker 1 (11:45):
She probably would have been in a bad place had
you not done any of that work. So let back
guards be back guns and step carrying other people's garbage. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (11:54):
Yes, it's hard for us humans, us men, us me
to let go of things and try and just let go.
And sometimes the famous word that Daniel and always tells me,
brain wrap then brain rats.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
Yeap, and you you're killing yourself.
Speaker 2 (12:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (12:15):
Negative thoughts will do that though, you know, just stay
away from negative thoughts and negative reactions to those thoughts.
We're never going to only I would love to change
the world, but I only get my corner of life.
It's dogs, it's you know, better re estate, it's making
people thrive, maybe changing into a generation that supports itself
(12:40):
instead of welfare. You know, I'm always going the extra
mile for that. And it's time that we just start
just being real about moving the ball forward instead of
setting the ball on fire. Because everything you see in
the media right now is just I'm going to set
this on fire. Ie, we blow this up. It's like
there's a lot of spiral up. Better. Just be well
(13:00):
with your heart, isn't your heart.
Speaker 2 (13:03):
Fell foulow with mister nor Mister Nolan tells me all
the time, follow you true north.
Speaker 1 (13:12):
Iollow your true north. You know what your true north is,
and you know when you vary from it? Yes, and
like your gut telling you was something wrong with that direction?
Speaker 2 (13:21):
Yeah, I mean that's what's telling me about things. What
else is going on in your life? Starting crazy with
a crazy train going on in your life? Anything else
that you want to tell us?
Speaker 1 (13:33):
Oh, No, it's been busy, and it seems like the
work that I'm getting is mostly around Purdue University. It's
about a half hour and a half with two hours
with traffic or whatever. So that's why I ended up
getting another car. I just wanted to get through these
couple of transactions and get people started, uh in their
(13:55):
academic career, because right now schools are starting. You know,
that's why you seem at a rush. I know it's
gonna end after you know, school starts and everything. They
all if you sell the house, they'll probably take it
off the market for a week, just because they know
that nothing's going to sell. Like right after school starts,
you got to get the next batch, which is already
(14:16):
starting to look we're starting to figure it out that
they'll wait for the party. You're going to be joining
any school at this point a little bit late. But
if you're in one school and you're moving and you
pick up in the new school and everything, I don't
think that, you know, if your children are not outgoing
or understanding of you know, a new a new uh
(14:40):
settling you know, education system. I felt right into it,
that was no problem. But some kids have trouble with that.
Speaker 2 (14:50):
Yeah, I know, I did.
Speaker 1 (14:52):
I know I didn't like it. I think at one
point I was scheduled to go to First View High School. Really,
I know, right, yeah, me and Ted Jon in the
same whole school. Who know that's going to turn over.
Speaker 2 (15:11):
I think Mugene's older than you, so I think, you know, yeah,
he was, well, he was older than me. He was
he was already out in public.
Speaker 1 (15:17):
Yeah, he was doing a lot of local concerts, you know,
uh four hundred and five hundred uh capacity burrows small small.
Speaker 2 (15:28):
I lived in Lombard for a long time. Soever, he
told me, And I looked, I have cousins in Lombard,
and I want I said, where's Ted jujuon Live? And
they said, he don't live here every so he lives
in Lombard, So I mean it is. His mom had
an article and the entertainer asked Mary, asked Mary, Yeah,
(15:50):
and I want one, and I and I wanted to
meet Mary and they said, oh, she lives in Florida.
I said, okay, that's cool. I thought, that's all. And
Molly's on the board today and she's doing a really
good job, and yeah, we gotta so we guess she's
(16:10):
more she was at the time. She was very much
in time. She had everything set up and I mean,
I was. She threatens it. Every time she's I talked
to her, she threatens me that she's gonna take over
my end of the show and just do a show
with you.
Speaker 1 (16:25):
I don't think that's gonna happen.
Speaker 2 (16:27):
But okay, she's nice to look at.
Speaker 1 (16:33):
But honestly, yeah, I just wrung the board. I'm trying
to be.
Speaker 2 (16:43):
Well. I mean, she's she We're gonna have a We're
gonna have a ask question Molly's asked Molly questions soon.
So if you're out there and Molly's gonna answer these questions,
and if you want to ask Mali a question, go
to our youth our Facebook group pages the number two
(17:05):
g t S and set us a message and yeah, we'll.
Speaker 1 (17:09):
Be only two people who to g t S and Facebook.
Speaker 2 (17:12):
So yeah, if you have any.
Speaker 1 (17:14):
Ideas, you know, ask manly. I mean, I mean, she's
been backstage, she's been on both sides of the concert hall.
Good yet for what I'm seeing, good on the board.
She's got some chops in her, so let's put her
to work. Yeah, let's see what she does know.
Speaker 2 (17:31):
Yeah, let's see. So we're gonna we're gonna have ask
ask Mali coming up soon.
Speaker 1 (17:37):
We get Yeah, let's trying to get one. What is
she available this weekend? Do you think tomorrow is a
way stay for me? I mean tomorrow, I'm already spoken
for seven day or Sunday.
Speaker 2 (17:48):
She just put her She gave me one of these
you know, shrugs like I don't know, you.
Speaker 1 (17:58):
Know, let's try for another one.
Speaker 2 (18:00):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (18:01):
If not, people, today's Thursday. We haven't picked off over
the weekend.
Speaker 2 (18:06):
Okay, yeah, because she just gave me a shrug. I
know I don't pay you enough.
Speaker 1 (18:10):
Well, you know, it's not like you can phone it in.
I know, I know.
Speaker 2 (18:20):
And right now she's looking for a place. I told
her she could. I said, you can't stay with me
because I have a crazy dog and yell.
Speaker 1 (18:29):
I even heard a bad thing about her. So yeah,
let's do ask Molly. Now, when you say Mollie, we
are talking ask Molly about her personal opinions on things.
We're not talking about. Ask Molly towards us about uh Molly,
Molly street drugs. Now we're talking about Molly herself. Else
(18:51):
you're gonna have your nind people. I know what you're thinking.
You only hired her because she's on it.
Speaker 2 (18:56):
You know, her name is Molly.
Speaker 1 (18:57):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
I just think she's cute. So I mean, I'm gonna
get fine. I'm gonna get I know, I don't, I know,
I know that was that was wrong. But you're going
on the board too. I mean, I know you're very
good on the board.
Speaker 1 (19:10):
So well, so far, she's the keeper.
Speaker 2 (19:12):
She is, I mean he is. Trevor was okay, Trevor
was okay.
Speaker 1 (19:17):
Trevor will Trevor will be fine. I just should have
known sooner.
Speaker 2 (19:20):
Yeah, I mean he's just yeah. So that's all's going
on with me.
Speaker 1 (19:26):
Oh oh, speaking of Trevor, Kevin Matthews. Funny enough, he
has a Sunday Trevor. Kevin Matthews popped up at my
computer yesterday. I don't know what I was doing, but
he had a grand announcement today, something about some work
(19:47):
that he's coming to put together. He couldn't say anything yesterday,
but just a couple of hours ago he released it.
So I'll give you an update on what's going on
with Kevin Matthews.
Speaker 2 (19:58):
Oh yeah, people, I think he's a great guy. I
think he's a he's a genius. I mean, he's the
one who got both of us started in podcast.
Speaker 1 (20:07):
Well, not really even part of my foundation. You know.
Speaker 2 (20:10):
I was a big listener to him and Stephen Gary.
I just wonder ounds and Steve Dallas doing after his
his his chemo and stuff like that. So so I
know he's got rect ole cancer, I think, And I
hope he's doing I hope he I hope he's doing better.
He's fighting a good fight. That's how I say.
Speaker 1 (20:28):
I mean, and I got he was I thut he
had MS.
Speaker 2 (20:34):
Kevin Manthews has a MS. Steve dal has rectum cancer.
I think I'm not sure.
Speaker 1 (20:40):
Oh wow. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (20:43):
Yeah, He's one of the guys who could have made
my mornings every day. I mean I will listen to
him and Gary in the mornings when I was getting
ready for work.
Speaker 1 (20:52):
And school and Kevin from ten to two.
Speaker 2 (20:56):
And I mean yeah, and then then they Yeah.
Speaker 1 (20:59):
I was never against him in Chicago. I was always
up against Brandmeyer.
Speaker 2 (21:03):
Answer your dirt. Dan's stage name is Dirty Dirty Dan.
Speaker 1 (21:08):
Yeah. I only thought it was a radio name. It
was already picked out. It was like, Okay, welcome to
c KG. Your new name is. And this is part
of you know, like Kevin renaming his uh staff bumbers,
you know, outside of Jimmy Shorts, of course, you know,
because Jimmy is Jimmy, you know. But he was very,
(21:30):
very influential in the creation of the theater of radio.
Speaker 2 (21:34):
Yes he was.
Speaker 1 (21:35):
I mean he had the mind lost itself and having
people who help you become thoughtful about what you're hearing
is a throwback. I mean, Kevin's doing work that could
have been done in the that was done in the thirties,
and he's perfected it.
Speaker 2 (21:52):
Oh, I agree with you, because there's nothing there's no
since the Suits to go over the radio. There's no
good radio anymore in Chicago. I mean, I don't think
there's I mean the Loop became a they sold the
frequency to a K Love and.
Speaker 1 (22:13):
All the ninety seven point names in America are only
by K Love. I don't know why they focused on
that call symbol ninety seven nine, but you go into
anytime you tune into ninety seven nine, you'll hear a
K Love radio station.
Speaker 2 (22:31):
I don't I mean, I mean loops on on the
internet or something like that. And I mean XRT is
the only station you can listen, or the Drive too,
but I mean I mean the Suits program it. I mean,
if if you really want to hear a good podcast.
Check out Big Daddy Blues Radio our tribute to Ozzy
(22:55):
this week.
Speaker 1 (22:57):
Okay, yeah, we can put that up on the website
when you get a chance.
Speaker 2 (23:00):
Yeah, well, yeah, the website and are good people from
Speaker or I call Sprinkler. I love those people so much.
Speaker 1 (23:09):
That is a fargying slip that will live in infamy.
Speaker 2 (23:12):
I don't what else is going on. I just think
that our show. I mean, I just want our listeners
to be part of our shows. If anybody has any ideas,
let us know on a Facebook group page. I mean,
we have two people listening to it right now. I
think I don't know anything else you want to talk about.
Speaker 1 (23:35):
Well, I'm good for today. It's just been a busy month.
I might get some downtown this weekend just to kind
of reju rejuvenate in a little bit. I have everything
in order, and instead of pushing it and pushing it,
I'm going to be able to just you know, I
got two more signs to put in yards. I have
(23:56):
that already taken care of, and then start those transactions
so I don't have like seven transactions at the same time.
And I can't remember the last time I had seven
completely working. I remember back when foreclosures where a thing,
you know, back in the day. I mean I always
(24:18):
kept at least ten aunt ten homes, but there was
a lot less readers too, But my minimum was ten.
I always wanted ten in the hopberg, whether they were
short sails or not. Right now I got seven. I
don't think I had more than four transactions in between.
So something's going on out there with my friend. Rating
(24:41):
preases are coming. They're stay in September. I'm sorry, rate decreases,
and it might not be a quarter point. It might
be a half point. So if I get over this
little hope that I got right now, you know, settle down,
you know everything you know? Earlawyer on this lawyer a while.
I'm actually curious that if this half point drop, that
the save we're going to get is going to bring
(25:03):
more buyers to the market, because it does take time
for it to trickle down into the banking system. I
know power is to be I'll say all about this,
uh there board, but it's just a bunch of bankers
trying to figure out how to keep their own money.
You should I did like the concept of higher for longer. However,
(25:28):
all that data that we were getting was not true.
And with that being said, the next time I feel
like the house is overinflated, or this is more than
this is more money than I should be receiving. This
whole thing's fucked up. I would rather get the numbers
from China than to get them from the US Labor Board.
Right now.
Speaker 2 (25:47):
I agree with you. I agree with you. I just
don't trust China's.
Speaker 1 (25:50):
Going to fudget a little. I mean, anything that happened
in the last two years is suspect to me. Now,
I should not distrust my government. I should always keep
them in check. But I can't believe the ship they're doing.
Speaker 2 (26:04):
I mean, and the Epstein stuff is kind of getting me.
I mean, if President Trump's avowed with Epstein, let it out,
because I mean, it's human trafficking is not a good thing,
especially these young girls.
Speaker 1 (26:17):
And if yeah, it's not like your high school teacher
gave you a wink or something, you know. I mean,
that was the worst I ever saw in high school.
But I don't I guess they know how to find
these girls who really need that in their lives at
that point. And I think Gasoline. You called her gasoline
(26:38):
the last time giusetlle. I think she had a net
for knowing who was vulnerable.
Speaker 2 (26:43):
I guess, so, I mean, I just don't I don't know.
I just think that we should get these people. Even
President Trump, if he's involved, let him let I know
he's he's immune because he's a president. But let's let's
let's cross the action. Let's take care of these people.
Let's take care of these kids, and let's they need help,
(27:07):
I mean mentally help. I mean, I was talking to
a girl who was in the Air Force, and I
guess she's she's she had two concussions and she was
she was I guess she was not able to work
because all these things they happened to her in the
(27:28):
Air Force and she was like flighting and stuff. So
I mean, let's take care of our vets. Let's take
care of these people, because these people would need our help.
Our vets need our help. They sacrificed our lives for us.
They're our heroes. Let's give them a hand. Okay, I'm
let me get off my soapbox. Now I'm getting pointed
(27:51):
at the time where if you want to close our show,
let's close our show right now. And the last words
before we leave.
Speaker 1 (28:00):
I think we just need to learn how to be
a little bit more patient and kind with others.
Speaker 2 (28:07):
And just love each other. Just before you judge a
man walking their shoes, that's a wise man. That's what
a wise man told me. So we're out of here.
Have a good day, have a good week. Everybody, love
each other.
Speaker 1 (28:21):
The ambush, let's get it against.
Speaker 2 (28:24):
So let's do against to see bye, see you bye.
