Speaker 1 (00:07):
Football fans, it's time to go on the record with
this week's matchups in pro and college football. With just
one catch. We're only interested in underdog who can keep
it close, if not pull the outright upset. Time to
find out. It's three Dog Thursday. Now here's your host,
(00:27):
TJ Reeve.
Speaker 2 (00:29):
Welcome in to the latest edition of three Dog Thursday.
Great to be with you once again on the Winning
Cures Everything platform. I am merely a somewhat capable co
host TJ.
Speaker 3 (00:40):
Reeves.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
He is the guru.
Speaker 2 (00:42):
He is the owner, the operator of the purveyor of
Winning Cures Everything dot com. Hello Gary Seegers, it's good
to have you. We need to explain to the audience
up front that we have been trying for a few
minutes to figure out whatever the grimlin is with Gary's
continuous video. We see you like in spots and stages,
so you need to make some like model poses, some faces, whatever,
(01:05):
because we're only seeing it every once in a while.
Speaker 4 (01:07):
Fans, we weren't.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
Gonna miss this to be here live to talk underdogs
in college football. I love that last pose for the audience.
The last post was like touchdown. You were like touchdown Jesus.
I love that so we can hear you clearly. Welcome,
we see you sort of mighty one. Good to be
back with you.
Speaker 5 (01:24):
Oh, it's good to be back for sure. If it's
not one thing, it's another. And this week it has
been the webcam in the browser not working for whatever reason.
Speaker 3 (01:34):
Works on everything else.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
They need marriage counseling right now. I cam and the
browser need to be with doctor Phil.
Speaker 4 (01:41):
Don't you still love him? It needs a little of
that right now.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
I'm just giving Gary some levity right now because his
hair's been on fire for the last ten minutes going
Why won't the stream stream?
Speaker 3 (01:54):
It's it's been an issue. I tried with Scott. It
was working fine yesterday.
Speaker 5 (02:01):
I tried with Scott on Monday from Spank Gott's Vegas
Horse Bulls and it lagged. Then it was working fine.
Yesterday I had no issue. But it's it's always.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
Some temperamental technology here on three Dog Thursday.
Speaker 4 (02:15):
Thank you for finding us.
Speaker 5 (02:17):
I'm glad that I got through it. Like this is Thursday.
I've got one more podcast that I'm doing later this evening,
and then I'm done for Friday.
Speaker 3 (02:26):
Saturday.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
In the Saturday of the recaption and hopefully you're not
taking a ballpin hammer to the camera or to the laptop,
but it'll be the lapt listen anyway, thank you for
finding us. If you're on the video show on YouTube
on the social media Gary Social Media Winning Cures or
Gary WCE, you see, mister Segers that I am rocking
(02:49):
the bucko Bruce, because it's creamsicle week for my NFL gig,
the Tampa Bay Buccaneers playing the Atlanta Falcons. I decided
to down a little creamsicle here for the bucks for
this weekend, and you know, with a little splash of
color on the program. But if you're only hearing us
on the podcast, come find the video portion of the
show under Gary's platforms and his YouTube page. A lot
of good audience will even take some response, including you
(03:12):
making fun of my orange polo or Gary's lagging video
or something. They can't make fun of the picks. Right now,
Gary Segers, you got this last week we were four
and two. Congrats on NC State outright for you. Congrats
on North Texas that covered against Memphis. We had best
of both worlds because that's my Memphis Tigers. So they covered,
(03:32):
but they didn't win North Texas, so we're good on that,
and I had two outright winners, thank you tooth both
Georgia Southern. I went to a Sun Belt team finally
in week number eight of college football, and Georgia Southern
came through with an outright win over James Madison. I
didn't expect an outright win, but they got one. And
(03:52):
then the Georgia Bulldogs over Texas last week very impressively.
So four underdog winners on last week's show out of six.
By the way, I've picked seven correct going back the
last four weeks, averaging right at to a show, so
we hope that that clip continues with a little credibility.
Any other thoughts from you on last week before we
(04:14):
move forward to this weekend?
Speaker 5 (04:15):
Some underdogs, Gary, this has been the most chaotic season.
Speaker 3 (04:22):
Yeah, maybe since two thousand and seven.
Speaker 5 (04:24):
You know, we've talked about that a couple of different times,
but I mean, what happened just last night.
Speaker 3 (04:29):
With Kinnesau State.
Speaker 5 (04:31):
Tell them Kinnesaw State was atrocious and they win outright
against Liberty. Liberty is a twenty seven and a half
point favorite. Now that number I thought was just flat wrong,
But to bet Kennesaw. You're betting on a team that
scored five total points on a terrible, terrible Middle Tennessee
State team. I can't even begin to explain how unbelievable
(04:58):
that was that Kinnessaw Kinnesau State run the triple option,
they threw the ball.
Speaker 3 (05:02):
They were sixteen of twenty passing last night.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
Obviously, obviously they decided to ditch a little triple option
last night. I didn't see a lot of the game,
but I saw the scores and the update, and what
did I see? It is the first time in FBS
in like twenty years? Is it twenty years or how
long has it been since an zero to five or
worse beat a five and oh or better? And that's
(05:26):
what That's what happened last night.
Speaker 3 (05:28):
That's the last time that happened. Was was it? Was
it nineteen ninety eight, Maybe it's not been a century.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
So welcome to the craziness of this college football season.
As we keep talking about, is there a true number one?
Speaker 4 (05:42):
Is there?
Speaker 2 (05:43):
I mean, could you make the case that about ten
teams or more are going to emerge maybe from the
college football Playoff as a potential national champion. I think
you could make that case right that you can make
an argument for about ten teams right now, depending.
Speaker 5 (05:56):
On the matchup. Yes, one hundred percent. I don't know
who to trust and what to make of any of it.
Nobody wants to play hard, it feels. I mean, it's
just a it's a very very strange season.
Speaker 3 (06:08):
I'll tell you that I understand.
Speaker 2 (06:09):
All right, we're all about the underdogs. We're gonna go
quickly here because of Gary's video. And again, if you're
hearing us, you've got no issues. We'll just keep going.
But we do also have the props. We have the
cards for this week. We brought back having the visual
aids here on the predictions. So where do you want
to begin?
Speaker 4 (06:27):
First?
Speaker 2 (06:27):
Are you going to piggyback off my sun Belt winner
last week on three Dog Thursday with Georgia Southern?
Speaker 4 (06:33):
And where are you're going?
Speaker 3 (06:33):
If so?
Speaker 5 (06:35):
Indeed, we are my good friend, and we are going
to Georgia State plus seven going to app State. And
I know that app State looked pretty good against Louisiana
just a couple of weeks ago. Appstate has not played
a lot of football recently. They are still dealing with
the cleanup from the flooding and whatnot from Hurricane Arleen.
Speaker 4 (06:53):
Yep.
Speaker 5 (06:55):
But Appstate is atrocious at tackling. They are in like
the one tens as far as tackle grade at PFF.
And you start looking at their defense, and I mean,
my brother. They are one twenty six in PPA allowed
per pass. They are number one thirty four, dead last
and predicted points added allowed per rush. Their defense is
(07:15):
really really bad. And they turn the ball over. There
are number one hundred and thirty two out of one
thirty four in giveaway rate in turnovers, and they're not
good at actually getting turnovers either. This app State team
is not good whatsoever. And they play fast. They are
number five in the country and offensive plays per game.
On offense, the only thing that they can really do
well is throw the ball with Joey Aguilar the quarterback. There,
(07:38):
they are number seventy five in PPA per pass. Now,
they are pretty good on a down to down basis.
They are number seven in passing success rate, but you
can't get it into the end zone that way. They
are number ninety nine in scoring opportunities per game, that
is getting inside the opponent's forty yard line. Now, Georgia
State is not anything to write home about. Don't get
me wrong. They are number one twenty two in Ppa
(07:59):
mar app State is number one twenty six. But this
is such a high variance game. I already bet this
thing when it was at eight. The market has started
to catch up a little bit. Georgia State does a
pretty good job of not turning the ball over. There
are number sixty one in turnover margin. There are number
twenty seven in penalties per game. App State is number
ninety three in that. So you've got just a ton
(08:20):
of hitting yardage, a ton of just little things where
Georgia State does not make mistakes and app State does.
I will trust Georgia State here plus the seven to
be able to get this done. It's more of a
bet against app than it is a bet on Georgia State.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
I'll say.
Speaker 4 (08:36):
Interesting. So we're going right back to the sundown. Now.
Gary's got his card.
Speaker 2 (08:39):
Hold your card up for as long as you can.
It would just leave it up there, it will freeze
on the screen. So he's going back to the sun
belt for the reasons he gave, and there it is
right there. Georgia State plus the seven we make it
work on three Dog Thursday is his first underdog play
on the show. Now, as I mentioned, every week I
(09:00):
watch you and Kyle and Parker on the bet US
College Football Show.
Speaker 4 (09:05):
Religiously. I get some great intel off of that.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
We encourage everybody to go to the US YouTube platform
and watch that. In addition to being on here on
Winning Cures with Gary Stuff and you guys were going
on and on about Friday night UNLV Boise State. What
a tremendous game in the Mountain West. This is going
to be It's at Vegas. Obviously, these are the two
of the best teams in that conference. So it's one
(09:28):
of the games of the year in the regular season
here in late October. And I love the running Rebels,
the moxie of the running Rebels.
Speaker 4 (09:35):
They win. Last week. I know you had Oregon State.
I felt for you.
Speaker 2 (09:39):
I felt for you because you had them what plus
the seven and a half and they had a couple
of problems.
Speaker 3 (09:44):
Now I had them plus plus eight plus eight, and.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
So you had a couple of problems with what like
a blocked punt and something else in the second and unloun.
Speaker 3 (09:55):
I remember what it was.
Speaker 5 (09:56):
I bet the plus eight, So I was okay on
that it was on the show.
Speaker 3 (10:00):
It was seven and a half for the show.
Speaker 2 (10:02):
Yeah it did, and so UNLV goes into Corvallas and
wins last week. This is a UNLV team that also
won against Kansas on the road. They played some wild
games and I love the stat you had on the
bet Us show that in their last eleven as an
underdog they're ten and one now. The one is the
loss to Boise State last year where Boise beat them
(10:23):
and covered. I think this is revenge Friday night. I
don't know how big the crowd is gonna be at
Allegiate Stadium. Are they gonna get twenty five thirty thousand
for UNLV. Hey, nobody cares about the Raiders at this point.
They're terrible, so maybe they embrace UNLV give me the
Rebels in revenge on three Dog Thursday. I got UNLV
(10:44):
plus the three and a half with the card right
there in the Mountain West game on Friday night, that
will be underdog number two on the show, My first
one for this week. Do you have any closing thought there?
Ashton Gent is a Heisman candidate running back. He's probably
gonna get his I'm just and on UNLV can score
with them and maybe even win this game. Outright scoring
(11:05):
with them garry any final thought.
Speaker 5 (11:07):
I so I went Boise on this and my bet
on it was three three and a half was. But
I still feel like Boise is a significantly stronger team
when you look at the defenses that that UNLV has played.
And don't get me wrong, Boise State does not have
a very good defense whatsoever. But the teams that they
have played Oregon State, Utah State, Syracuse, Fresno, et cetera.
(11:32):
And Fresno was banged up when they played Kansas. I
mean they won that one twenty three to twenty. The
defense had looked good earlier. Syracuse put up forty four
on them. That one went to overtime, but it was
thirty eight thirty eight, and it was a little fluky
how it got there. But Utah State put up thirty
four on them, Oregon State last week put up twenty five.
What is These are not like world beater offenses, and
(11:54):
I think that Boise has the potential to be a
world beater kind of offense. The thing that I that
I'm most scared of is the fact that the Boise
is number thirteen and have it created U and LV
is number forty eight. I'm curious what Hodsman Leek Williams
is gonna look like.
Speaker 2 (12:09):
I never knew that have it created was an actual
stat but the fact that you have that impresses me
even more.
Speaker 3 (12:15):
You impressed.
Speaker 5 (12:16):
Boise's number one in sacks in the country, so they're
gonna be getting after him. The question is can he
elude the sacks and make big plays, because I think
that they I think they certainly can.
Speaker 2 (12:28):
And remember UNLV's quarterback the holy Cross transfer was at
schoola Matthew Sluca Sluka.
Speaker 3 (12:34):
I was close.
Speaker 2 (12:35):
I had a jumble on my scrabble on my letters,
but he ejected because he said he wasn't getting his
nil money that you have been promised, and they still
have won a couple of games, including on the road
at Oregon stated, I'm just saying one more time for
three dollars Thursday. They often chanted reble rebles. I'll take
them Friday night in the matchup with Boise State, it
(12:59):
is three dogs Thursday. We are well aware if you're
just joining us. Gary's video is not ideal. Right now,
I see some of the comments here. There's a couple
of commenters that are chiming in, including one LFG says,
I don't have assets to the metrics like Seekers does
based on vibes only. But my guess is UNLV can
can lose close to Boisese State.
Speaker 4 (13:19):
Well, we'll see. I got it right away.
Speaker 3 (13:20):
You got the hook, so that's good.
Speaker 4 (13:22):
I am going with the hook. We'll see what happens
on Friday.
Speaker 2 (13:25):
By the way, thank you for finding us on video
or on the three Dog Thursday podcast feed Apple Spreakers, Spotify,
make sure you're following subscribing there you see our sponsor

sure you're going to get the best price if you're
looking for tickets for that UNLV boys state game or
any of these games that we're gonna be talking about.
(13:46):
We're gonna talk about LSU in Texas, A and m
in a little bit or again number one in the
country with Illinois Saturday afternoon in Eugene, Alabama, Missouri. The
big noon kickoff game is Ohio State Nebraska in the
Sunshine State. Miami's probably to destroy Florida State. But if
you're looking for tickets, use tickets Smarter, Use the promo codes.
Any purchase of one hundred dollars or more, take ten
(14:07):
dollars out off WCEE ten takes ten dollars off one
hundred dollars or more. But for the better seats. For
a pair of the better seats, you're gonna probably spend
three hundred bucks or more at some of these bigger games.
I mean, good luck getting the better seats at LSU, Texas,
A and M for a couple of them being under
three hundred bucks.
Speaker 4 (14:25):
Don't think it's happening.
Speaker 2 (14:26):
Use wce twenty twenty bucks off or more with WC
twenty on tickets Smarter again, get in the game, think
smarter ticket smarter with the ticket smarter mobile app and
the promo codes WCEE ten or WCEE twenty. All right,
what's your second underdog, young man? For three dog Thursday?
Here in college football, we're looking for them simply to cover.
Speaker 4 (14:48):
They don't have to win out right. What do you
like next?
Speaker 5 (14:51):
I have a team that I think can win out right,
and I will take Michigan State.
Speaker 3 (14:56):
Going to Michigan.
Speaker 5 (14:58):
The Wolverines are bad, bad, They are just not looking
very good at all.
Speaker 3 (15:03):
Right now.
Speaker 5 (15:04):
The thing that Michigan State does best on defense is
stop the run. They are number forty three in predicted
points added allowed per rush, number thirty four and rushing
success rate allowed. Michigan is number thirty three in rushing
success rate and they're number thirty one in PPA per rush.
But the issue is that if that's all that they
can do and Michigan State can stop that on the
other side, I kind of like Michigan State and what
(15:26):
they've been able to do with Aiden Chiles here, the
new quarterback.
Speaker 3 (15:30):
They are.
Speaker 5 (15:32):
This Michigan defense is not great, and when you start
looking at turnover margin, etc. This is just going to
be a highly, highly volatile game because both of these
teams can turn the other team over. Michigan number fifty
six in Nope, that's not right, number eighty nine in
takeaways per game. Michigan State is number seventy in takeaways.
Both of them are in the one twenties in giveaways
(15:53):
per game. So that is that's where this becomes a
bit of an issue. Michigan State is certainly good enough
to be able to hang in this game and to
win this game outright, because which quarterback do you trust
for Michigan The Davis kid not great. Obviously, they've turned
away from him. Alex Orgy can't throw the ball and
(16:13):
tuttle last week several turnovers, etc. Against Illinois, they outgained Illinois,
and Illinois still won the butt and never had a
problem in the ballgame. So I don't think this Michigan
team is very good. Just based on the stats over
the last four weeks, I would actually have Michigan State
favored by nine points here, and what Michigan State did
to Iowa last week, I think they can certainly do
to Michigan again. So I will trust new head coach
(16:36):
Jonathan Smith with the five and a half for Michigan State.
Speaker 3 (16:40):
Let's go in and get the card up on the screen.
Speaker 1 (16:42):
I like it.
Speaker 4 (16:43):
Leave it up there.
Speaker 2 (16:44):
I'll let you know that we can see it, and
we're good with Gary's video. Just leave the card right there,
he says. Sparty plus the five and a half. And
this is the ninth anniversary of how to Lose a
game while punting the ball on the final play of
the game by Michigan at home, where the punter dropped,
the ball, got hit, fumbled, and Michigan State ran it
in with no time left.
Speaker 4 (17:03):
An all time win that was nine.
Speaker 2 (17:06):
Years ago, an all time cause, what yes, Sean McDonough
with a great call, What did I see that this
is the worst offensive output in like five years to
this point for Michigan. You were kind of detailing that
it's already the most losses in a season going back
like four years for Michigan. So they have begun become
(17:29):
a bit unraveled. You think that continues for three to
two Thursday? Right?
Speaker 5 (17:33):
Hear?
Speaker 4 (17:33):
Coming up?
Speaker 2 (17:34):
Do you mind if I stay in the Big Ten?
The primetime matchup between Wisconsin and Penn State attracts me
because the Badgers are at home, the Badgers on a
three game win streak after they're lost to USC, a
game they were in, but the USC rattled off like
three touchdowns in a row, including a pick six to
(17:54):
pull away and cover at the coliseum. All right, so
Penn State off of a bye week, Penn stayed off
of an overtime win themselves back a couple of weekends
ago in UH in the coliseum over USC. So what
about the Badgers here? If you're wondering for Wisconsin, they've
(18:15):
covered in each of the last three games with Purdue
and UH and with Northwestern. Uh, and there's one more
in between there too, there was somebody else that they
covered and beat at just they obliterated bad right, they
obliterated three bad teams in Purdue and Rutgers. And now
(18:35):
they did beat decisively Northwestern for three straight covers as well.
And and what did I see also that for this
matchup here James Franklin and the controversy, I mean, Gary,
this is serious stuff again. They've got a rape allegation
against a former couple of players at Penn State. And
James Franklin was literally walking away from the microphone at
(18:56):
his press conference after practice or before practice, whenever it
was on Wednesday, just a very juvenile look of I'm
not gonna stand there and say no comment, et cetera.
I think those things to me matter. That might be
a distraction here Wisconsin at home primetime game. I'm going,
you know what I'm going, Badgers. We need some stinking Badgers.
(19:20):
We need the Badgers plus six and a half in
the Big Ten.
Speaker 4 (19:24):
Here.
Speaker 2 (19:24):
You've got one, I've got another. You got one with
Michigan State, I've got another with Wisconsin. Anything. I know
that the Penn State has been very good against the number.
Anything else here stand out.
Speaker 5 (19:35):
You are just in fade Gary mode this week because
I took Penn State on Tuesday.
Speaker 4 (19:41):
Show or on the on the US Show.
Speaker 5 (19:45):
So if you look over the last four weeks, yes,
I would have Penn State favored by about one point here.
Over the full season, I've got Penn State by eight.
But you know, James Franklin covers numbers, and he had
the same situation going on at Vanderbilt with players being
accused of certain things and whatnot, and it did not
(20:07):
affect the team whatsoever. As a matter of fact, it
kind of becomes a bit of a rally point for
teams in some cases where they feel like their guys
are being unjustly accused. We'll say, now, I don't know
what the situation is there, obviously, but those guys all
know who it is that's being accused of such things,
(20:27):
and it all just kind of depends on if they
believe the guys are not right. So as far as
the situation went, I don't think there's gonna be a
lot of distractions. I think that Franklin had the sid
come up, which I feel like he should have just
been the one to come out and say I'm not
going to talk about this like I can't talk about this.
He should have just said that as opposed to having
(20:48):
the sid you get out and do it and then when.
But it's the reporter's job to ask the question, of.
Speaker 1 (20:55):
Course.
Speaker 3 (20:56):
But yes, I don't think that's going to affect a
whole lot.
Speaker 5 (20:59):
Penn State has covered the last two years the week
before the Ohio State game, and they have covered by
more than three touchdowns in the last two years. So
it's not they They certainly get geared up and they
are ready to go. They're coming off of a bye week.
I think they're gonna be fired up and ready to go.
So I still kind of like Penn State here, but
I can I can understand where you're coming from on
(21:20):
that side, because Wisconsin has looked really, really good, albeit
against really terrible competition.
Speaker 2 (21:25):
And let's see if camp Randall is rocking, Tawie Walker
is the running back, right, that's right, more one more time.
Speaker 4 (21:32):
I'm going Badgers.
Speaker 2 (21:34):
I'm going Badgers here for three Dog Thursday. And that
leads us, by the way to another sponsor on the
three Dog Thursday Live Show. Let's get to that right now.
Speaker 5 (21:44):
From Ghost Sleeves hold on, hold on, I'm getting it.
Speaker 3 (21:51):
There we go.
Speaker 2 (21:51):
We see our friends at ghost Sleeves again. If you
are a little older, I'll stereotype here and you've got
the aching knees, the aching half, the aching elbow. You
need the kinesiology technology of ghost Sleeves because it increases
blood flow as you see on the screen if you're
seeing the video. It helps out with inflammation, it helps
out with recovery. Again, if you are a runner, a biker,
(22:16):
if you play pickleball, weekend basketball, whatever, for the knees,
the elbows, the calves, we're seeing it on the video.
Any weekend warrior athletic types get a hold of ghost
leaves for all the different therapeutic reasons. Again, they've got
tremendous technology, kinesiology technology. It is go time with ghost
Leaves ghost leaves dot Com and the promo code is

three Dog Thursday and the Winning Cures Everything platform where
you are seeing us. So again remember ghost Leaves, ghost
Leaves that get the desk the discount with WCEE as
a proud sponsor.
Speaker 4 (22:54):
We've got one more underdog to go.
Speaker 2 (22:55):
Before we are out of here, either on the video
show or on the audio you get the honors.
Speaker 4 (23:00):
Where do you want to go next? Are you going?
Speaker 1 (23:02):
Sec?
Speaker 5 (23:03):
We are going SEC? My friend in this boy. Today
has just been a mess.
Speaker 2 (23:09):
So I'm hoping that we're on the final underdogs and
this one's almost done.
Speaker 4 (23:13):
Just hanging there.
Speaker 3 (23:14):
Oh yes, we're getting there.
Speaker 5 (23:16):
Okay, We're going to LSU in Texas A and M
we're going to Kyle Field in College Station. And you've
got the number seven strength of record per ESPN and
the number eight strength of record per ESPN with l
s U at seven A and M at number eight.
Speaker 3 (23:31):
When I look at.
Speaker 5 (23:31):
These two teams, the LSU overall on the season has
not been great, but they have found ways to win games.
But they are getting to a point now where I
trust their defense. I think that they will be able
to slow down the running game of Le'Veon Moss. I
don't trust Connor Wigman. I know we had the fantastic
game against Missouri, but I think.
Speaker 4 (23:51):
That LSU's kiner Jack he killed us.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
We both had Missuri in that game, and it was
like a Mike Tyson's first round knockout. It was over
in the first quarter. So we got burned there. But
you're going back at Wegman in Texas A and M.
Speaker 5 (24:07):
Yes, I am, because I trust Garrett Andusmeyer. In this
LSU offense. They are actually able to run the ball
a little bit now, which is interesting. I'm I'm very
curious in this. I think that LSU is just the
better overall team. They have covered eleven out of twelve
straight against Texas A and M.
Speaker 3 (24:26):
How about that.
Speaker 5 (24:27):
I mean that's a that's a huge, huge spot. And
I mean you're still looking at a first year coach
in Mike Goco going against Brian Kelly who understands his
program now has some of the pieces in place.
Speaker 3 (24:39):
I'm very I'm very curious.
Speaker 2 (24:41):
So you got the card, Get that card cad there,
get the card carrier because it is gonna freeze up
there on Gary's video.
Speaker 4 (24:48):
And guess what.
Speaker 2 (24:50):
I we pre planned the show and I had this too,
and we have dueling cards there. It is we both
like LSU and the two and a half. Other stat
to add to your stat is Texas A and M
just one in six outright in their last seven games
against ranked teams. I know it's at home that can
be a great equalizer, but Nussmeyer doesn't get rattled. We
(25:12):
saw how good he was at the end of the
Old Miss game. He was really good last week against Arkansas.
It's a heavyweight fight every week. It seems like in
the SEC LSU still got Alabama looming later in the year.
They used to play this game at the end of
the year, remember, at the very end of the year.
But now we get it in late October. I'm buying.
I'm buying on the LSU Tigers, who haven't lost a
(25:33):
game since the opening night lost to USC on Labor
Day Sunday night. Give me the Bayu Bengals. I've got
it up one more time, plus the two and a half.
Just like Gary, we join in hand in hand over
the cliff yet again. My friend, once tiame there it
is you got it frozen. I've got it frozen to
join you right there on the screen for LSU final
(25:54):
thought or two we did not cover or again huge
line with Illinois. That's the Saturday afternoon CBS game. Oregon
number one in the country. Is that lined about correct?
Quick take from you?
Speaker 3 (26:05):
I think so.
Speaker 5 (26:06):
I think the advantages are certainly there for Oregon to
just blow them out of the water because Illinois's defense
is not as good as what we've seen, but they've
they've been able to, you know, keep teams from running
it up on them.
Speaker 3 (26:19):
For sure.
Speaker 5 (26:19):
There's only been one that's beat them, and that was
Penn State, and Penn State only scored twenty one points.
The advanced stats certainly seem to love Oregon here, but
Oregon doesn't really have any reason to completely blow them out.
So yeah, I mean, I think the numbers right about
right somewhere around twenty and a half to twenty one
and a half. In whichever way it lands on, you're
(26:40):
probably gonna want to take the other side. So if
it's twenty and a half, there's a lot of people
that would bet Oregon. At twenty one and a half,
there's a lot of people that would bet Illinois.
Speaker 4 (26:48):
By the way, Noon on ABC is Navy notre game.
Navy unbeaten.
Speaker 2 (26:54):
By the What did I see? Navy and Army are
both undefeated and in the top twenty five slayed in
a season six games in a season for the first time,
like since the nineteen thirties. Is that what I saw
ninety years ago? The last time they're both there Navy's
getting thirteen and a half home away from home game
at the Meadowlands. I don't know about going against Notre
(27:16):
Dame here, even with two touchdowns, quick thought, quickly.
Speaker 5 (27:20):
I so initially my thought was, my goodness, you can't
give Navy that many points. They're really, really efficient. But
when you go back and look at who they've played,
they have played the number one thirty two strength of
schedule in the country. Ye, there's nobody that is even
close to what Notre Dame does. Notre Dame can stop
the run, and when you are set up in passing downs,
(27:40):
Navy has faced no adversity whatsoever.
Speaker 1 (27:43):
Right, So.
Speaker 5 (27:45):
Maybe like a Notre Dame team total something like that,
I would not feel great about backing Navy.
Speaker 2 (27:51):
In this spot, even with thirteen or thirteen and a
half points. Again, that's a new game, all right. By
means of recap, Gary again with Georgia State, Michigan State,
and LA I agree, and I'll show the cards one
more time. I have UNLV on Friday night with Boise State.
Gimme Wisconsin another big ten team in the primetime game
with Michigan State, and I agree with Gary on LSU
(28:14):
plus the two and a half at Texas A and
m's you. There's his LSU card.
Speaker 4 (28:18):
We love that. We're an agreement on that. Listen, great job.
Speaker 2 (28:21):
There's Michigan State and you can go ahead and stick
the Georgia State card up there one more time too.
