(00:07):
Football fans, it's time to goon the record with this week's matches in
pro and college football. With justone catch. We're only interested in underdog
who can keep it close, ifnot pull the outright upset. Time to
find out. It's three Dog Thursday. Now here's your host, TJ Reeves.

(00:30):
As we promised you one more timein twenty twenty three, Three Dog
Thursday is back from our friends atWinning Cures Everything and Winning Cures Everything dot
Com. Great to be back.I am merely the somewhat competent host TJ
Reeves. He is the purveyor, the operator. I love the college football
inside of Gary Seegers back aboard onthree Dog Thursday as we finish up the

(00:52):
college football season. Gary does afantastic job on this site as well as
bet ustv's coverage of college basketball.Good to be with you, Gary was
sharing with me off the air.I think I lost track at seven Christmases
that he's done with his family, his siblings, his in laws. It's
Christmas week, it's Christmas month,it may bleed into twenty twenty four.
Good for you, keep opening thepresence gifts, extra food, Good to

(01:17):
be with you, and good tohave the end of the college football season
about to be here over the nextcouple of weekends, including the CFP and
the championship game, and it's aboutto be New Year's Gary. Great to
be with you once again one moretime. Of course, it's great to
be with you as well. Yes, it's so funny. We start this
whole thing with college football in August, right, and really a lot of

(01:38):
people start diving into camp and whatnotin July and et cetera, and once
the games get here, it's younever want the games to leave. And
then you get to the end ofDecember in the beginning of January, and
it's like I just need a breath, I just need just a few minutes
to be able to calm down. And we got that in the middle of
December. We had the one weekendwith Army Navy. But this has just

(02:00):
been with all the I've got threekids, three kids, right, and
it's Mayhem Con and they don't careabout the spread in the Iowa Tennessee game,
by the way, no they donot, which is moving as we're
talking right now, thanks to thanksto all the Joe of course, right
before we do this, right beforeI'm about to do the Beat Us show.

(02:21):
We have this big news about JoeMilton opting out, so that moves
the lines and it changes a betthat I was gonna. It's just a
it's a masterstily moving. So let'spick up on that point and we'll get
to some handicapping in a little bit. Thank you for finding us. If
you're only hearing us on the podcast, come see what we look like.
Gary's done a great job with thevideo coverage on this and its own stuff

(02:43):
as well at Winning Cures Everything dotCom, the Winning Cures YouTube page.
That's where we are. You'll seewhat we look like if you're only hearing
us. If you are hearing us, you can take us, as I
like to say, in your earswherever you go with your AirPods, your
earbuds, whatever the case is.And here's in podcast form at three Dog
Thursday wherever you get podcasts, soyou get both here on the show,

(03:04):
we give you some handicapping. We'vebeen really good at times with the college
football handicapping. There was one stretchwhen we were like ten one in one
over a three week period in Novemberon giving you underdogs. So we have
this caveat you just mentioned, ithas become increasingly difficult to handicap, especially
in advance of more than a dayor two any of these games because of

(03:28):
the opt out. Suddenly players aresuspended a lot of times, you know,
they miss curfew, they're academically ineligible. But now the opt outs have
become the bigger deal. And justas a general comment, you're mentioning the
news that Joe Milton, the Tennesseequarterback, is not going to play in
the Citrus Bowl on New Year's Dayagainst Iowa looking out for his NFL future.
Can't say that I blame him,but he's one of numerous players that

(03:50):
are doing this the week of andit makes it a handicapping nightmare. Give
me an overall thought again, Garyabout this. So I don't blame these
kids for deciding to opt out ofthese games. I do wish that there
was some kind of a cutoff dateor something to where. And that's just
a personal thing, right, Iwould just like to have a little more

(04:11):
information. But I mean, whenit comes down to it, if you're
Joe Milton, just that specific example, you are going to look terrible against
that IOUAD defense. Why would youmake that your last film before you head
off to the NFL comb true,So, uh, I wish these kids
would not have to opt out ofthe games. That's what I wish.

(04:34):
But I do think in some casesit makes a whole lot of sense because
the grander powers that be have basicallytold them that these games don't mean anything.
Now. I still enjoy them becauseI can see what the future is
going to look like for some ofthese teams, but I just it does
irritate me because it's I wanted togo back to what it used to be.

(04:56):
Sure, this is the man inme talking. It's not going to
It's never going to be that. It's never gonna be that way again.
But we should say that there ishope that when the playoff is increased,
and you know, you and Ihave gone round and round about whether that's
a good thing, there will nowbe eleven playoff games instead of three,
and the likelihood is for the biggestteams that are involved in that twelve team

(05:18):
playoff, you aren't going to seethese opt outs because they're going for the
whole thing. So at least thatis some glimmer of hope with that.
But I can't blame Brock Bowers forsaying, I've got an NFL future to
think about for the Georgia Bulldogs asa tight end and this game coming up
with Florida State doesn't mean anything aboutthat we didn't get in the playoff.
I can't blame him, along withsome of these others that are looking out

(05:41):
for their NFL future, when youhave coaches abandoning teams that are in prominent
bowl games to go get a betterjob somewhere else, or go take an
NFL job, or whatever they chooseto do. So I can't believe,
you know, I can't blame thatthe players that's now come around to them
make business decisions. And at leastin the Milton case, just one more
time, you got a few daysnotice before that game is played. This
we're releasing three Dog Thursday. It'snot like this came out on the night

(06:04):
before the game on New Year's Evebefore the game that he's not playing or
and a lot of schools love todo this where they suddenly show up on
the day of the game and soand so and so and so and so
and so are suspended and or teamrules violation, not playing in the first
half. At least this is alittle bit of advanced Notice, that's just

(06:25):
me saying this is tree Dog Thursday. Now you've you've certainly got a very
good point there. It's a it'smayhem, it's absolutely But you know what,
the bulls have been a lot offun. Uh, all the people
that that bought into the whole ideaof Kansas having the flu and whatnot before
that guaranteed rate playoff game, uhor not playoff excuse me, bowl game.
Uh yeah, that's of course Kansasends up covering after he was in

(06:47):
advice. I mean, it's it'san information game once you get to this
point of the bowl season, andsometimes you get good information and sometimes you
know, and sometimes you get disinformation. You get what they want you
to not just misinformation, but theywant you to think they're sick or hurt
or beat up or in fighting orwhatever. All Right, so let's get

(07:09):
to what this show does, andthat's underdogs in college football. So I've
honed in on one disclaimer that Ijust shared with everybody is I don't know
if there's going to be suspensions oropt outs as we do this, but
I have been looking at the oleMiss Penn State Peach Bowl matchup Saturday noon

(07:29):
Eastern time to kind of get theweekend REVVD up New Year's Eve weekend than
New Year's Day. The SEC.This just in newsflash. The SEC has
been really good against the Big Tenover a long sample size of about twenty
years in these bowl games, andit surprises me that Penn State remains a
favorite. So I'm going right toole Miss unless you want to talk me

(07:50):
out of it on the fly.I'm going to ole Miss getting the four
and a half or the five hereon three dog Thursday. With Jackson Dartit
quarterback. They can run the footballas well. Penn State's got some issues
with their coaching staff, Gary thatyou're gonna share. I'm looking at this
as a gift does a late holidaygift here that I'm getting points with the
SEC team against the Big Ten teamat Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta Saturday at

(08:15):
noon for three dog Thursday. Thisthing has moved a couple of spots to
five and a half and then it'sdropped at a few more places to four
and a half. So so let'sgive you the five and a half.
I'm not gonna disagree with this.I'm staying away from it as far as
a big play. Now, onceyou know, once the game shows up

(08:35):
and whatnot, and I'll want somejuice or something. I'll probably put a
little pizza money on ole Miss.I think that ole Miss really really wants
this game, right. Lane haslost the last two ball games. Penn
State typically does this, but whenPenn State goes up against Utah in the
Rose Bowl or Memphis in the CottonBowl something like that, they have a

(08:56):
very distinct advantage when it comes tous. I don't know, oh State
roster is that much better than theone that Lane Kiffin has assembled down in
Oxford. I don't believe that PennState has seen an offense that will do
what ole Miss is going to doin this game. Right Jackson Dart is
playing all their receivers. They've gota couple of guys that are banged up,

(09:18):
one out, but you've had amonth to be able to heal up.
So far as I know, theonly guy that they're really missing is
the right tackle. Pettis I believeis his name. He got hurt in
the Georgia game. He's out forthe rest of the year. But you've
had time to be able to figureout that spot to build a little more
depth there. I think they're gonnabe able to put up some points on
Penn State, not a ton.I think it will still be a relatively

(09:39):
lower scoring game because you know,Lane Kivin likes to run the ball for
the full season. I think it'sabout a sixty percent clip. They want
to be able to run the ball, and they're not gonna run it much
on Penn State. But I thinkthat they're gonna be able to take some
deep shots and whatnot against that PennState defense, especially without Manny Diaz in.
Both both coordinators for State are gonebecause Mike Gearsich got fired. They

(10:01):
hired in the guy from Kansas, but he hasn't really been putting in his
offense yet. And as far asthe defense goes, they just hired Tom
Allen from Indiana, and yeah, they don't have his defense in yet.
So you got several several big keyopt outs for Penn State. Yeah,
I think Ole miss what they're doingin the portal right now. Obviously this's

(10:24):
got nothing to do with this game, but it lets you know that they
believe that this is their window. They are gearing up for that twelve team
playoff next year, and this isa good spot for ole Miss to come
out, get a win, lookgood, and start kind of revving up
heading into next season. And againwe keep talking about injuries. Remember Matt
corral the quarterback for ole Miss, got hurt in that Sugar Bowl right away

(10:46):
with an ankle injury. And there'sthe there's the comeback from the players saying
I got to protect myself injury wisein games that don't mean anything. But
I think Ole Miss. I sawPenn State working the game on national radio
on Compass Media Networks at the beginningof the year with West Virginia, for
what it's worth, they looked prettygood with Drew Aller in the running backs,

(11:07):
but in their biggest games they didn'tdo much offensively, especially in either
one of them. I just thinkthis is ole Miss on Saturday in the
Peach Bowls. So give me theReBs. I think they win the game
out right. So the four anda half, the five or the five
and a half is just greaty giveit to me. Give it to me
like the sides on the holiday dinnerplate here, and I will take Ole

(11:28):
Miss for three dog Thursday. Soyou and I are going to talk college
football playoff semi final games Rose Bowl, Michigan, Alabama, and then obviously
the kapper is the Sugar Bowl Washingtonand Texas coming up? Is there?
I know you're not gonna handicap anotherone. Is there anything else? I
was intrigued by Florida State in Georgia, but then Tate Ronamaker, the quarterback

(11:50):
for Florida State, says, hey, the handwriting is on the wall for
me to not be the quarterback here, and I'm just gonna go in and
go in the transfer portal rather thanrisk getting roughed up, beating up and
bludgeing. Here's your point again aboutabout game tape by the Georgia Bulldogs.
Again, it's it's not a perfectworld. But when you don't have a
calendar, but that's the biggest thingI know. But when you have coaches

(12:13):
again, I'm gonna keep coming backto this, When you have coaches that
will say my team made a NewYear six bowl game and I'm still leaving
to go coach another program or togo coach in the NFL. How can
you fall players from doing the samething even though it's a New Year six
game? Like what this is inthe Orange Bowl, and that right,
Here's here's the part with Rodamaker isFlorida State has openly been recruiting guys that

(12:37):
are going to come in to startnext instead of him, exactly in stead
of him. So if if you'rehim and you see the riding on the
wall off a concussion in the Floridagame as well, already got your brain
scrambled in the Florida game, couldn'tplay in the ACC Championship game the next
week. I don't blame him,but I'm saying for three dog Thursday purposes,
that line is the size of likemy twin teenage do's phone bill.

(13:01):
It's too big, and I don'tknow what to make of it because I
don't think Florida State can score. But I just I'm going to stay away.
And here we are again with thatis at nineteen. Now, is
there anything else that stands out toyou before we get to the CFP semi
final games At this point at nineteen, I mean, I would probably have
to take Florida State because they score. That's the biggest. Can they run

(13:24):
the ball on Georgia to put fourteentouchdowns? Special teams touchdown? Maybe there's
this is what we have learned.Right, We thought this with Ohio,
we thought this with multiple teams thisyear, that we've got third string running
back, third string quarterback, this, and that Western Kentucky was down to
their third string guy and they godown twenty eight to nothing to come back

(13:46):
and end up winning the bowl game. Right, it's you never know what's
gonna end up happening. And youknow, at least with the Florida State
kid, with the guy from Millingtonor Covington or whatever, Tennessee, the
third string guy that played in thein the ACC title game, right,
he he at least has experience againsta really good Louisville defense and he can

(14:09):
come out in this one. IfGeorgia decides, eh, we know we're
gonna win this. We don't reallycare. Florida State could put a couple
of touchdowns on the board, LikeI could absolutely see it happening, because
they do have some depth. It'snot great, it's not Georgia level depth,
but it all depends on how muchGeorgia really wants to be there.
The last time that Georgia was inthis situation where they had lost out on

(14:33):
going to the CFP, they wentand played Texas in the Sugar Bowl and
got beat You know, so Imaybe come back to how does Florida State
score? Brock Glenn is the kid'sname, Rock Glenn. Rock Glenn threw
for fifty yards five to zero againstLouisville. I don't know. I mean
against Georgia how they move the balland how they score in that. But

(14:54):
now he gets Now he gets abunch of first team reps. And that's
the thing none of us know rightwho knows what to expect from this?
If you wanted to take the FloridaState team total right now is under thirteen
and a half. So the orthirteen go under thirteen if you think that's
the right way. I'm staying awayfrom it because I don't know these kids.

(15:18):
I don't know these Well, there'sanother one just real quick. We'll
get to the playoff games in justa second. But there's another one real
quick, and that is in yourneck of the woods. My alma mater.
I'm from Memphis as well, andI went to the Liberty Bowls a
little kid. Several times, theAutoZone Liberty Bowl. They keep correcting me
to say the sponsor name, andthat is Memphis and Iowa State and rock
O Beck is a Tampa kid whereI live, the son of Anthony Beck,

(15:41):
the former NFL tight end, theformer ESPN broadcaster. That's an intriguing
game. That's an intriguing line.I would be interested in Memphis, but
again we don't know about opt outs, etc. For that game coming later
in a week off of three DogThursday as we release the video show in
the podcast. But it's just interestingthat Iowa State is a double digit favorite
in that one. Again, I'mnot taking it, but I mean,

(16:02):
yeah, I took Memphis at eightearlier, like when bowllseason opened up,
and I didn't put much on it, just you know, a little bit
of pizza money because I thought theMemphis has a pretty good shot of winning
the game. Outright. These aretwo high variance teams that you really depend
on explosive plays. Both of thedefenses are gonna get scored on. The

(16:22):
total in this game right now isonly fifty seven and a half, but
if you start, like really lookinginto the advanced stats, the fact that
this thing is up to ten anda half. Now, do we really
trust Matt Campbell who is one inthree in his last four Bowl games?
To be able to win a gameby double digits against a team that really
knows how to score. Memphis,I understand, has got two offensive linemen

(16:44):
starting offensive lineman that transferred out.Aside from that, they still have all
their weapons, like and they havegot some dudes on the offensive line that
I think are gonna be just fine, especially against Iowa State. Iowa State's
got I believe TJ Tampa, thecornerback that's going to the NFL, he's
not going to play in this game. Were an appropriate name going to be
on the to be on the showwith TJ from Tampa. And I remember
doing an Iowa State Iowa game twoyears ago where I'm going, I'm TJ

(17:08):
from Tampa and TJ Tampa just madethat play for Iowa State. So we'll
see uh so again, that kid'sa question mark and Ken rock Obeck make
plays with his legs as well ashis arm. Here, he'll be able
to do whatever he wants against thatmemphistige. We would think so. We
would think so, and it's goingto be fascinating. So we have that
game Friday, we have these Saturdaygames. We again, the Iowa Tennessee

(17:32):
game is early on Monday. Ialso will be working the LSU Wisconsin game.
There's opt outs again on both teamsthere, including the Heisman Trophy winner
Jaden Daniels is not playing for LSU. So one we're saying to the audience
is it's just tough to handicap those, So let's get into it. Alabama
Michigan CFP semi final Rose Bowl? Are you looking as strongly as I am

(17:57):
at Nick Saban and the Crimson Tidewith a month to prepare for this game,
off that win over Georgia? Whatare your thoughts Gary for three Dog
Thursday reasons on this Rose Bowl semiFinal Nick Saban In postseason games where he
has more than three weeks to prepare, he is eleven and one straight up,
and now you're gonna get him asa dog? I mean, what

(18:18):
are we talking about here? Look, I understand the love for Michigan.
I get it, but you lookat the past six weeks of the season
and this Michigan team is nothing likewhat they were at the beginning. A
lot of people saw this Michigan teamas this dominant force, especially once they
got into Big Ten play, andthey are crushing these lesser than teams,

(18:41):
right, and that's no offense tothese Big ten teams. But there's obviously
a difference here. But they havenot seen anything close to what they're gonna
get with Jaylen Milroe. Alabama's gotstud receivers and it's not names that people
really know right now because they havenot fully developed. But they've got some
dudes on the outside. I don'tknow that Milligan's got the secondary to be

(19:03):
to be able to keep up withthose guys. And as far as this
Alabama offensive line, what they didthe Georgia was incredibly impressive. Right.
If Michigan fans want to talk aboutthe fact that, well Auburn ran all
over Alabama, yes Auburn did.But do you have the same zone read
stuff? I don't think so.I don't think it's the exact same kind

(19:26):
of stuf where they're running delays andthey're running all this misdirection. Jim Harball
is a meat and potatoes guy, right, he doesn't hide or disguise any
of the stuff that he's running. He's I'm gonna run it right there,
and if you can stop it,cool, But I don't think that you
can. We saw it with theTCU game last year. We saw it

(19:47):
against Georgia two years ago. It'skind of the same thing over and over.
Alabama has improved, and I thinkthat Michigan has actually gotten a little
bit worse. I don't think JJMcCarthy is as good as he looked early
in the season. The running game, we'll see. I think they're gonna
be able to run on Alabama some, but they have gone up against teams
that are not great at tackling,so they've been able to break off some

(20:11):
bigger runs that way. When itcomes down to it, you know,
I'm leaning. I'm not just leaningAlabama. I think Alabama's gonna win the
game. And I think when thelimits open up, I think you're gonna
see this this thing switch. BecauseAlabama's plus one and a half. I
think there's a two out there somewhere. So you think by the time,
by the time we get to Monday, you could see a lot of money
come in and this thing becomes evenor even Alabama favored, it'll it'll open.

(20:36):
I think the limits will open upon Friday or Saturday, and that
that's when you'll see it switch. For our purposes, right now, on
three dog Thursdays, we always saythroughout the year the number is either one
and a half or two, andyou and I are taking the tide.
I'm in agreement with you. Michigan. Strength of schedule out of the conference
terrible. From earlier in the year. It's East Carolina UNLV and Bowling Green

(20:56):
UNLV ended up having a good year, but Bowl in Greenwood, matt either.
But I mean the Ohio State winsa big win at the end of
the year. What else do youhave down the stretch with Purdue, with
Maryland, with an Iowa team thatcouldn't score. We all knew they were
going to win by three touchdowns inthe Big Ten title game. Michigan,
this ain't that, folks. Withthe Crimson Tide coming in and they've had

(21:19):
success in the Rose Bowl, asyou've mentioned, in the Rose Bowl stadium,
in the Rose Bowl BCS title gamewith Texas, give me Alabama here
with you on three Dog Thursday toadvance to the College Football Playoff Championship game.
And that reminds me that if youare looking to get into the any
of these bowl games, including thesemi finals, the Rose Bowl with Bama

(21:41):
and Michigan, the Sugar Bowl withTexas, and Washington. Do it with
our friends at ticket Smarter. We'vebeen utilizing them all throughout the college football
season. You're going to take tendollars off a one hundred dollars order,
But let's be honest. For ticketsto the Rose Bowl or the Sugar Bowl
in the playoffs, the highest endof the bowl games, you're not getting
in for a hundred ball the bestseats you're going to be spending like probably

(22:03):
ten times that. So use thepromo codes WCEE ten for an order of
one hundred dollars or less these bowlgames and the CFP playoffs, but use
WCE twenty if your order is threehundred dollars or more. Take twenty dollars
off with ticket smarter. Great secondarymarket pricing as competitive as any that you're
going to find. With their algorithmsand what they do, your purchase is

(22:23):
secure and guaranteed. Go ahead andutilize ticket smarter for those reasons, and
also use our promo code WC twentyfor an order of three hundred dollars or
more. Again, if you canget into any of these different bowl games
that we've been talking about for onehundred bucks or less, take ten bucks
off WCEE ten. But Gary seekers, we've done a great job promoting and

(22:45):
there are a lot of people respondingoff of winning cures and we say thank
you the salute to them. Doit one more time this bowl weekend for
the College Football Playoff. Use WCtwenty twenty bucks off a three hundred dollars
or order or more with tickets, order the ticket, smarter mobile app,
ticketsmarter dot com. Again as theysay, get in the game with tickets,
smarter, think, smarter ticket,Smarter promo cod WC twenty to take

(23:08):
twenty bucks off of three hundred dollarsor more order to get in these college
football bowl games. So that leavesone more three Dog Thursday game that we're
looking at. Are you thinking WashingtonHuskies as the doggy neutral field Sugar Bowl?
Mercedes are actually as now little CaesarCaesar's Superdome in New Orleans. They

(23:29):
have a different sponsored seams like everytime Caesar's Superdome. Now, are you
liking Michael Pennix and the story thathas been out west the Washington Huskies unbeaten
against Texas here for three Dog Thursdaypurposes? What do you think I think
that I am I think I'm gonnaride with Washington. It's at four right

(23:51):
now, Washington plus four, it'smore than a field goal. Washington beat
this team in the Alamo Bowl lastyear, so there's that, there's a
little bit of familiarity with it.Look, this, this Kaylendi Boor thing
is at some point, Yeah, the numbers are what the numbers are,
right, And when you try andbreak down just the analytics of the game,

(24:15):
yes, obviously there's an advantage forTexas. There's a talent advantage,
there is a running game advantage. There's certainly a passing advantage for Washington.
But when you just look at thething overall, I mean, my number
for the past six weeks would haveWashington by like an underdog of like six
points or so. Texas overall,I think is the better team. But

(24:41):
when you've got a guy like KaylendiBoor, and I know that Steve Sarcusan
can draw him up with the bestof them, but man, there is
something about Kaylen de Boor in playoffgames, in bowl games, in Pack
twelve championship games, all that kindof mess. This dude is unbelievable.
In the A playoffs, his teamswere seventeen and two. He is one

(25:04):
hundred and three and eleven overall asa coach. At some point, you
just got to trust that the guyknows how to win regard. He could
take your guys and beat his ownguys with them, or he can take
his guys and beat your guys withthem. Right, And there's nothing that
you can really break down that wouldtell you that Washington is gonna win this
game. But it was the exactsame thing with the Oregon game. Right,

(25:27):
So, now that you've got threeand a half weeks or whatever it
was to prepare for this game afterthe PAC twelve title game, I think
at the end of the day,I'm just gonna ride with Washington plus the
four, like I think that's thesmart way to go. And you've got
Pinnix, who was a Heisman finalist, obviously, You've got the two receivers

(25:48):
that I think can give Texas alot of problems in Polk and a Doonsday
that both caught for over one thousandyards. They it's going to be healthy
and they've got yeah, and they'vegot and they've gotten time to heal up.
And we've got defensive guys too thatare NFL type prospects. This is
gonna be a fantastic game. Imean, obviously Texas can play. They
won the Big Twelve. They wonthe game at Tuscaloosa. That was a

(26:08):
long time ago though in September. What does that really mean here in the
Caesars Superdome there, I got itright coming up on New Year's Night in
the Sugar Bowl. I think thisis ultimately Washington. I think we're looking
at a Washington versus Alabama CFP titlegame in Houston because I think I think
the Huskies find a way. Justlike I could not figure out when we

(26:30):
left you last three Dog Thursday audienceon video and on recording, why were
they that big of an underdog againstOregon. I loved them outright in the
PAC twelve title game, and theygot it. I again, I like
them head up here against the Horns. Hook them doesn't want to hear that,
but I like them head up here. I will take the points as
well, and I think it's Washingtonand Alabama one more time in the championship

(26:52):
game. Final thoughts from you hereon three Dog Thursdays. We've gone over
the bulls. Anything else that weleft out? I don't believe. So
I think this is a really reallygood playoff field. And I know that
it sucks that the Florida State isnot getting to play in it, but
I think we got the best matchups. I mean, this is a lot

(27:14):
of fun with Alabama and Michigan andTexas Washington. I do I love bowlseason.
It's a little chaotic because there's toomany gamess. First of all,
I keep saying this, I've saidit for twenty years. There's too many
games. They should have lopped off, especially well, but out of the
pandemic year. I understand you're ahuge college football guy. Out of the
pandemic year, they should have loppedoff like six or eight of these bowl

(27:36):
games because I don't need to seeanymore six and six against six and six
participation ribbon games. So there's toothat dilutes it. Our eyes glaze over
as part of it. I comefrom the older school, because I'm older,
where there would be about eight ornine bowl games until New Year's Day
and then the barrage of the sevenor eight games would happened. Yeah,
now we have like twenty five ofthem before New Year's It's crazy how many

(28:02):
there. It's mayhem right. Butlet me tell you this, last night
was a perfect example of why Iam totally fine with having this many games.
One there's gonna be people watching them, especially a week like this where
it's just the games are all spreadout, they're all in solo windows Texas
State and Rice. And it wasn'ta great game. It was forty five
to twenty one or whatever it was. But seeing the jubilation from Texas State,

(28:26):
who had not ever been to abowl game before, that was awesome.
They drank the stadium dry of alcoholdid in the beginning of the third
quarter. Yes, that's correct, that's very They drew more people. Texas
State drew more people to gerald FordStadium last night than SMU did for any
home game this entire season. That'sawesome, Like see like that, I

(28:48):
love it. But those are fewand far between, versus six and six
against six and six or even fiveand seven. To get rid of some
of these games, I just Ithink this is true. Like I take
that to mean that you did notenjoy the Quick Claying Bowl with No,
I did not. But we're aboutto get to the better ones. And
that's the whole point. On threeDog Thursday, n I will add one

(29:08):
more comment here because this has gottensome play and it will it will maybe
pick up a little bit of traction. I still believe this is the biggest
cheating scandal in the history of collegefootball, if not college sports. With
what's happened at Michigan, it iscompletely tainted. Everything they've done this year
is completely tainted. Hopefully Alabama willtake care of it where we don't have

(29:30):
to talk anymore about what Michigan wasdoing and got away with for a while
during this season. I'll be curioushow much does that ramp up with a
coach that was suspended not once buttwice for violations in this season and missed
a total of six games that hedidn't coach. It's it's been a blotch.

(29:51):
It's been an ugly, ugly blighton the sport for this year,
and hopefully it wraps up with Alabama. And maybe that's that's with my analysis
that I want to see Alabama doaway with it, because unless you're a
Michigan person, all the other commonsense people that have looked at this,
you can't look at it as anyother way as lat and cheating that was
going on and so their Big Tentitle, their college football playoff birth is

(30:15):
tainted. It's tamed. I'm nota Michigan person. The cheating thing did
not bother me in the slightest.I think that this is just they were
how about this. I think theywere really bad at it. I think
everybody else is doing it. Idon't like everybody. Okay, we could
go for thirty more minutes. Everybodyelse is not doing it. They're not
doing it to that extent with spreadsheets and matching up to game film and

(30:37):
advanced scouting and filming the other sidelinethat does not go on. It's tamed.
I don't think that they're going tothe games, but I do think
that they are absolutely getting film andfiguring out what the signs are and doing
sheets and sharing it with other teams, et cetera. I do think that
that's going on. I know Iknow that that's going on, So you

(30:57):
know it. Him going to thegames to try and film with an iPhone
like that does not It doesn't botherme in this line. All right,
we'll see if Alabama takes care ofit. And just to recap again one
more time here as we wrap itup for the college football season. I
like ole Miss all things equal withPenn stayed head up in the Peach Bowl
in Atlanta, and then you andI are an agreement in the CFP two

(31:19):
semi final games. We both likeAlabamas straight up, and we both like
Washington to upset Texas. Which doesthat guarantee that it's going to be a
Texas Michigan championship game for you andme? I don't think so. All
in either it would be two.It would be too perfect for the Longhorns
to be in Houston for the nationaltitle game. Right So, and there's

(31:41):
an argument to be made Washington.People and fans have been making this argument.
This may be the best team Texashas played to this point, including
Alabama. With what Washington has donethis year, we don't know. Let's
see what that version of Alabama certainlywas not the same version. Right that's
any of they are true, Butnow let's see what Washington can do with
him. Listen, I have Ihave been thrilled to be partnered with you
