Già io quando mio figlio era piccolo diciamo che non gli raccontavo tanto le fiabe, appunto, tipo Cenerentola e Cappuccetto Rosso perché mi sembravano datate, mi sembrava che avessero dei ruoli, presentassero dei ruoli molto stereotipati, per cui gli compravo libri che parlavano, raccontavano altre storie, non quelle tradizionali, quelle che sono state raccolte dai fratelli Grimm che sono quelle che diciamo sono le più diffuse in Europa, forse anche nel mondo, per lo meno le persone fino alla mia generazione.

Oggi le fiabe sono diverse, lo stesso concetto di fiaba non so più bene come funzioni, lo so di sicuro, perché c'è un gioco che faccio spesso nelle mie classi che è creare una una matrice, quindi una una tabella, e ognuno mette, cioè scrive in un pezzettino di carta, in un foglio, la sua fiaba preferita e poi cerchiamo di mettere insieme le fiabe con le persone, quindi cercare di capire qual è la fiaba preferita di questa persona, perché dalle fiabe preferite si possono capire un sacco di cose. Ad esempio, non stupirà nessuna delle persone che mi conosce sapere che da bambina la mia fiaba preferita era Il Gatto con gli Stivali, che era un personaggio che è molto particolare.

Provando a fare questo gioco con ragazzi e ragazze molto giovani, mi sono resa conto che le fiabe che conoscevo io proprio non vengono registrate da loro, a malapena sanno raccontare le storie, appunto di Cappuccetto Rosso e della Bella Addormentata nel Bosco, che spesso conoscono solo perché sono state riadattate per il cinema o per la televisione, e quando chiedo vabbè, mettete anche i fiabe altre che che conoscete voi eccetera, mettono nome di cartoni animati o di serie tv.
