First, they welcome a new Harvard-Harris poll showing 80 percent of Americans believe the U.S. should do whatever is necessary to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon, including 93 percent of Republicans, 75 percent of independents, and 71 percent of Democrats. But there's an interesting twist when voters are asked about the recent U.S. strikes against Iran.
Next, they shake their heads at a new Rasmussen survey showing 60 percent of Democrats still believe Donald Trump colluded with Russia during the 2016 campaign, despite the Mueller Report and volumes of reporting showing otherwise. But it's not just Dems. There are still absurd numbers of moderates and conservatives who believe the same thing.
Finally, after being soundly rejected by voters in the New York City Democratic primary, former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo concludes the people really do want him so he will continue his campaign as a third-party candidate. Cuomo also says the non-Mamdani candidates should unite around whoever is running strongest among them by early September. Jim and Greg have plenty of choice comments about Cuomo's decision.
