Speaker 1 (00:14):
Hey, hey, everybody, welcome, Welcome, Welcome to the Stylish Monitors Network.
I am your host, Honey F. R. Jordan, and it's
been a long time since I've been on this podcast.
Well what's been going on with me? Well, listen, me
and the mister have been fighting for not only just custody,
but adoption for our two nieces and our nephew. Yes,

(00:37):
we are literally starting over. We have a six, seven,
and nine year old in the house and as you
guys know, mister Jordan, I have two wonderful now young
adult sons, who is twenty two and one will be
turning twenty one very soon. With that being said, you guys,
we are transitioning. It's a real transition, to be honest

(01:00):
with you, because as you know, I've never had girls before,
so this is all new for me. But mister Jordan
is tickle pink and loving it and the girls having
him wrapped around their fingers. Now, I want to talk
about transitioning to being a parent of now two young
adult sons. And you know, my oldest all with his

(01:24):
innocence and being somewhat a little naive, he has moved
out the state, you guys, and into his own place.
He's in college, he's thriving, working and focused. Some of
you know and some of you don't know, that Samad
is high function autistic. So we are just excited to
see that going. And let me tell you, it is

(01:45):
hard for me to let go. He actually got up there,
you guys, and sort of kind of got involved with
two women. I guess the two women were dating each
other and had him, and it was just a mess.
They were just very much older than him, and I
really had to fight, and I realized it was more

(02:09):
of a spiritual fight than anything. So I stayed on
my knees praying, going in warfare, me and his father
making sure that that manipulation and seduction of those women
that had a hold on my young son, UH would
be severed. And let me tell you something, God answered

(02:29):
within a month. Amen. And the lesson I learned though, UH,
through that process is that I'm not God, and we
sometimes have to move aside and allow God to do
what he does and be in our children's life, especially
adult children, right our young adult children's. We have to
h allow God to work on their mental, their spiritual

(02:49):
and their heart postor. And God is the only one
who builds character uh in life lessons right through life lessons.
And so I just had to stay praying and fasting
and fight in the battle through that way, and I
had to learn how to lean into my faith walk

(03:11):
with God, especially when things weren't going as fast as
I would like it or going in my way that
I thought it should. God, let me know you are
not the God in their life that I am. And yeah,
that was a lesson. Well, stay tuned for my next tidbit.
With that being said, until next time, folks, thank you

(03:34):
for tuning into these stylish Mamages Network Again. I am
your host, Hanif r Jordan. Until next time,
