talk about it. And the main topic at hand, which
pulls what plays into our poll question. Uh, is the
Pro Bowls selection Jordan Davis being snubbed Jordan Davis or
the Pro Bowl voters I'm sorry, deserve coal for stubby
Jordan Davis? Do you agree or disagree? Join the conversation.
(01:48):
Find us Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, that's we're We're live. Anywhere
you get your podcasts, you can join us there as well. Yeah,
I mean, we're gonna have fun with this one.
Speaker 4 (01:58):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
But Jordan Davis definitely should be on the Pro Bowl.
We should have at least been been there over Jail
and Carter himself. But yeah, so of course we're going
into agree, but I will I will say this though
as well. I don't mind I don't mind the fact
that they gave him this little boost of energy, right,
(02:20):
this little you know, boost of chip on the shoulder,
and it's, if you want to call it, right, get
him a little pissed off for the stretch front to say, Hey,
you don't think I'm a pro Bowler. Right now, we'll wait,
wait till you see what I do here with the
last two games of the regular season and then the playoffs,
so hopefully that turns out in our favor. But yes,
for this fun for this fun sided poll question, I'm
(02:41):
going to agree. Give all the Pro Bowl voters all
the cold that they need and deserve because they got
this one wrong. Join in, fam, tell us what you like,
boys have had it. Merry Christmas to you guys, Merry
Christmas to the fam out there. I know I probably
said that once, but it's a jolly time of the year.
Ho ho ho. We got Santa cum. We got to
get in and out before Santa cums.
Speaker 5 (03:05):
Absolutely absolutely. I flew a Florida this morning, so I
can understand how Sandard fields final around all the entire
world every ding. Yeah right, I mean, man, I was
up at five am at that's early.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
Man.
Speaker 5 (03:18):
If he's out there, I can't even imagine he's up
for twenty four hours straight.
Speaker 6 (03:21):
That's a lot.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
Yeah, isn't it funny? Too real? Quick? Isn't it funny?
Speaker 2 (03:25):
Though?
Speaker 1 (03:25):
How Like even though it's just a two and a
half three hour flight, but how much it wipes you out?
Just traveling. Can you imagine, well, yeah, no it you
imagine the big dogs. The big dog's probably going nuts.
Speaker 6 (03:37):
Yeah. I didn't take a two hour nap today. I
was wiped out. I can't believe that guy goes twenty
four hours straight. That's insane.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
Why uh.
Speaker 5 (03:50):
Man? No, I I have to agree with the ball
man again if you're just looking at it again. Lonard
Williams has had a pretty good year. Quinn Williams had
a pretty good year two, I guess. But Jordan Davis,
like that dude's been awesome, especially compared to Jalen Carter.
I think Jaalen Carter's had a down year as compared
(04:10):
to you know, a guy who Jordan Davis, who's really
taking a step up this year in opinions, based off
like what our expectations were for him.
Speaker 6 (04:18):
He obviously thin he thinned out.
Speaker 5 (04:20):
He's got already got a high, a career high, intact,
was already a career high in sacks. Like you know,
if you're ever going to pick somebody else over over him,
then okay, like show me.
Speaker 6 (04:29):
The different stats and stuff.
Speaker 5 (04:31):
But compared to like, Jordan Davis has been the best
DT on the Eagles this year compared to Jalen Carter. Now,
Jalen Carter probably has better you know, metrics, and he's
a he's a better player, will be a better player overall,
at least we hope so. But Jordan Davis has absolutely
had the better year one hundred percent. So I find
it very hard to believe, you know, outside of the
(04:53):
name recognition that Jalen Carter has over Jordan Davis, that
he should have made the Pro Bowl over him.
Speaker 6 (04:58):
So you have to absolutely agree to the pull.
Speaker 5 (05:01):
I think it's more of a oh, look, I know
this guy's name and we check his name off on
the list today. Let's go with that one.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
Yeah, it's funny. It's funny to bring up Quinn Williams too.
I think that's too gayzy, right, I think that's who
Gayzy from from from the voters to give him an
NFC spot on this. And plus he wasn't playing anyway.
Speaker 4 (05:23):
Yeah, he hasn't had that.
Speaker 1 (05:24):
Curiod of year and he's been hurt the last two weeks.
But you talk about jay N Corr has been hurt
for a month. Quinn Williams has already missed games in Dallas,
So how are you giving him an end spot.
Speaker 2 (05:34):
Again.
Speaker 5 (05:35):
I think it comes down to the name recognition, saying, again,
everyone knows who Quinn Williams is, Like it's a popularity contest, guys, exactly.
Speaker 6 (05:44):
Exactly like we were talking. We were talking about a
pre show.
Speaker 5 (05:48):
Nick Fangio said it the other day where like, look,
if if you actually want to get the people who
deserve to be in the Pro Bowl, go get former coaches,
former players, former scouts. Have those guys who like don't
have a vested interest anymore in voting versus everybody who
in Vic Fangios, whereas everybody had everybody and their mother
(06:09):
has a vote of their own. Yeah, so let's let's
you know, I think it's the same thing with like
the MLB All Star Game, NBA All Star Game, Like
the guys who got the game recognition, those are the
guys that go all the time, which you know, for
what it's worth, a lot of the time, like those
guys are superstars. You want to see them playing these games, right,
But it's really annoying, especially in baseball to me, when
(06:29):
a guy was having a really really good year, but
like he doesn't get to go because somebody like you know,
Bryce Harper's in front of him, or Juan Soto or
again like again, yeah, like again, like these guys who
are again very very good. I don't want to say
they're not good, but like somebody who's got five more
home runs.
Speaker 6 (06:48):
And fifty more RBIs and six more doubles.
Speaker 5 (06:50):
He should probably get in over this other guy who's
been a staple of being a like a pro All
Star or whatever you're going to do now. Hope, hopefully,
hopefully this is all knowing voided in a couple of months,
whether they're busy that week so they can't play anyway,
But again it's it's it's a little a little foo
(07:10):
gaisy that an Eagle that isn't Jordan Davis is going
to the Pro Bowl for defense attack.
Speaker 4 (07:19):
Yes, yeah, I mean to your point, Ryn, I hope
the five Eagles that that did get voted in, I
hope they don't have to worry about going.
Speaker 6 (07:30):
I hope they're preparing.
Speaker 4 (07:32):
I hope they're preparing for Super Bowl sixty, all right,
because that that's that's the eye on the prize, that's
that's the prize we're going after here. As far as
far as the voters, of course, they deserve coal for that.
I mean, Jordan Davis has had a great year. He
absolutely got snubbed. But look, the bottom line is there's
(07:56):
for all fifty three Philadelphia Eagles, there should be one
goal in mind one and that's to hoist the Lombardi
Trophy in February.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
And uh, you know.
Speaker 4 (08:08):
As far as our recent play, I'm encouraged, but I
still need to.
Speaker 5 (08:14):
See more, you know, and we have we have a
good you have a good setup this week against the
playoff team.
Speaker 6 (08:20):
So yes, this is going to be a very good barometer.
And not only that.
Speaker 4 (08:27):
The Buffalo Bills they're fighting for a division title here,
you know, I mean, they they desperately need this game.
Speaker 2 (08:35):
So I mean, and I believe.
Speaker 6 (08:40):
Correct me if I'm wrong.
Speaker 4 (08:41):
I think there's still an outside shot that if they
were to come back and claim the division from the Pats,
that not only do they get the home playoff game
that comes with it, uh, they still have a shot
at a first round by and the number one seed.
Speaker 6 (08:58):
So they I think they need some help from the Broncos.
But yeah, I think there's still a shot yet.
Speaker 4 (09:04):
But they there's still quite a bit out there for them.
So uh, yeah, we're gonna have our hands full Sunday,
and I'm looking forward to seeing where we're really at
and uh, because I mean we're not gonna find anything
on January fourth, the final game of Commander. I mean
that's essentially a preseason game. We're going to be resting
(09:26):
our guys and getting ready for the playoffs. So I
mean we'll see what we'll see. Most likely people, we'll see.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
Yeah, you know that game might need something for that
for the Eagles. If they win this week, there's a
and say that there's an outside.
Speaker 5 (09:41):
Every everything, everything depends on what happens this week.
Speaker 6 (09:44):
If the Eagles can beat Buffalo and the.
Speaker 5 (09:46):
Bears lose, then there's everything to play for next week.
Speaker 6 (09:50):
So we'll see.
Speaker 4 (09:51):
But you know, we're we're playing a super Bowl contender
this week and our I think, I think this kind
of year where there is no one great team this year,
there's a lot of good ones.
Speaker 1 (10:10):
Have had some really really bad losses.
Speaker 6 (10:12):
Dude, they had they had a stinker.
Speaker 1 (10:14):
I think they might have the three the three Ris
losses on the year.
Speaker 6 (10:20):
Yeah, definitely.
Speaker 5 (10:22):
Look, all I know is that Josh Allen cast me
a decent amountain fantasy this past week. Man, So that's
all I'm talking about okay.
Speaker 1 (10:29):
And yeah, I mean, yeah, he's awesome, but I mean
there's times where well they could be had, right. I
mean they lost to the Falcons, that's acious.
Speaker 6 (10:40):
I mean we can agree.
Speaker 1 (10:42):
Who did lose. So let's go through. They also the Dolphins.
That's arocious.
Speaker 6 (10:46):
That's a terrible loss.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
And they looked, they looked Justice and Neemick against the Texans.
And yes, the Texans have a really good defense, but
their offense is garbage. The Texans offense is garbage. But quick,
before we get too deep into it, what UPO? Merry Christmas? Brother?
Speaker 6 (11:03):
Uh right, chimed in, Merry Christmas, everybody, Mary, Chris, Greig.
Speaker 1 (11:08):
Miller, what's up? Greg? Absolutely, Merry Christmas, everybody, Jordan Davis
and I will take the Super Bowl Trophy for reconsent. Absolutely, Greg,
that's where we're going. And then Katie comes in with
a with a Greg takeover. Yeah, we're here. We're here, kazy,
We're here for the fam. I know Tommy's Tommy's got
some stand of duties that he's that he's finishing up with,
(11:31):
so he'll be he'll be with us here, uh in
a bit, but real quick, before we get too deep
into the uh into the Bills talks, but's just tot's
throw the other guys out there, right, The other UH
Eagles are Kim Jurgens, Uh Joe and Carter Zach Bawn
And then our our two are two puppies, our two
(11:52):
show ponies in the back, Cooper and Quinny on Are
are your are your Eagles Pro Bowls? Uh? I think
another snub you can go into. You could go Lane
Johnson who's having a great year before he got banged up,
and you know you want to talk about just on
that D line alone. Lao Jumbes having a great year
(12:12):
as well. So Jalen Clark got in over two guys
that have better stats than Jalen, you know what I mean,
than himself. And again a lot of Jailen is is
the is the illusion and or the allure that he's there,
you know what I mean. He's allowing other he's getting
double teams so other guys can eat, which is all
(12:33):
fine and good, but he's also missed a month now,
so these guys are eating without him, and they have
been eating without him. There was no drop off this
year as there was in previous years. Right, we saw
the drop off in game one, because that was something
new against the against the Cowboys, right, you knew you
were getting the Cowboys' best shot on Game one. You
(12:53):
knew there was a whole bunch of exterior emotions because
it was Banner Knight and all that stuff that goes
with kicking off the season as defending champs. But this
last month that Jalen Carter has been out, we have
not seen the dip in production. In fact, we've probably
gone up on the defensive line with with the production.
(13:13):
And you would talking about that him going out coincides
real closely with BG coming back, with Jalen Philips being acquired,
with Nolan Smith coming back, and with the Kobe Dean
coming back, right, so all those guys coming back helped
eliminate the drop in production that that Jaalen Carter you
(13:34):
that you usually get when Jillen Cluter's out. And again
it's not a slight the Jaalen Calrter. He is awesome,
But just like on the offensive line with Lane Johnson,
when you usually see a dropping production or a dropping
pressure or dropping whatever when Jalen Carter's out, and we
didn't see it this year. And I'm stoked about it
because that's an awesome thing, this defensive line.
Speaker 5 (13:55):
Yeah, no, absolutely, I think there's I think there's a
positive and a negative to that, where Okay, cool, you
don't need to have Jalen Carter in there in order
to you know, have him, have him be double team
in order to generate pressure, right, but obviously you know,
you getting him back this week well theoretically make it
a lot easier for those other guys to eat.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
Right.
Speaker 5 (14:19):
But you've also seen like from from VG specifically right,
like he's never really played the DT spot.
Speaker 6 (14:24):
He's had three sacks in the last two weeks.
Speaker 1 (14:26):
Out of the D spot, which is didn't have like
three in like ten snaps like.
Speaker 4 (14:33):
That.
Speaker 6 (14:33):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, it was nuts.
Speaker 2 (14:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (14:35):
Like again, he's really good at that spot. He's a
little bit shift here.
Speaker 5 (14:38):
He'd get around with some of these bigger guys, which
is good, you know, and then those those younger guys
who not for nothing like okay, hey my boys out,
I step up a little bit and they were able
to rise to the challenge. You loved to see that,
But yeah, I mean, like it's it's very good to
see from the D line that you're able to you know,
(14:59):
succeed without a guy who should be the best player
on your defense, and realistically their lives are a lot
easier because of two other guys that have made the
Pro Bowl in Quinnon and Coop, who are Coop is
without a doubt, the best slot corner in the league, right,
and Quentyon is showing that he's If he's not the best,
he's top three, right because he's been insane this year. Right,
(15:23):
And like I think the I think the biggest thing
about being a cornerback in the NFL is if you
do not hear your name, it's the same thing as
being the same thing as being as like a tackle,
right if you do.
Speaker 6 (15:34):
If I don't know your name, you're amazing, You're so good.
Speaker 5 (15:38):
Right, So, like we were picking on a Dory earlier
in the year, and like everybody else who's played that
other like that other cornerback spot, you haven't heard Coop.
You haven't heard Quiyon's name at all. You haven't heard
Coop's name at all. Obviously Coop had a picked this
past week. So these guys are just doing their job,
locking down essentially the number one guy and then your
shiftiest receiver and then the other the only guy that
(15:59):
you can attack at per se, is a Dori Jackson
or whoever your second cornerback is, or maybe a linebacker's covering.
Speaker 6 (16:06):
A tight end, right, so they never gets flagged, right,
It's it's it's great. They've been so good.
Speaker 1 (16:17):
That was a weak one.
Speaker 6 (16:19):
You don't you targeted in the NFL. If it was,
if you don't get targeted in the NFL, you're amazing.
You're so good. That's Quinnon Mitchell this year, which is phenomenal.
So you got to attack either an.
Speaker 5 (16:33):
Outside corner who's probably playing your weaker wide receiver or
Cooper de Gene who's the best slot corner of the league.
So phenomenal job by those guys.
Speaker 1 (16:43):
And with all that raised his game.
Speaker 6 (16:46):
Yeah, he's been a lot better the year.
Speaker 1 (16:49):
We don't exactly that we'll talk about him because since
the buye he's been really really good.
Speaker 6 (16:54):
Yes, but yeah, absolutely, and on year when when.
Speaker 1 (16:57):
He gets when he does get a picked on and
does get you know, beat, it's not beat for for
many yards. He's usually right there and stride with him.
Ah So yeah, no, yeah, I mean Coop, Coop and
Q have been absolutely insane. Uh all right, I think
they are. I think Coop is Yeah, Cooper is the
(17:19):
best slack slack guy.
Speaker 5 (17:22):
Yeah, again, like the only the only guys like now
like Patson, Kan's really good. Obviously there's a couple other
guys you could argue who are in that like top
top discussion, but Q is right there.
Speaker 2 (17:31):
And for him being a guy.
Speaker 5 (17:33):
Coming out of a small school and like being it's
his second year in the league and he's this good phenomenal,
I absolutely love it.
Speaker 1 (17:41):
Yeah. And and to be honest that that was a
lot of what people missed with him with the draft
project projection and and you know what type of production
you were going to get from him in the pros, right,
he was obviously in that area of the draft was
all was being uh compared to Harry and Arnold, and
(18:02):
he is head and shoulders above Terry and Arnold. But
you were just like You're sitting there and you what
is this cornerback at a Toledo gonna give you when
Terry and Arnold's going up against the best every week
in Yes, he seeing Bama, right, And then then you
started obviously we started hearing the yes see, but I
want I tried to get him every chance we had, right,
I wanted to get him. He bl blah blah blah.
(18:23):
Then you're like, a maybe maybe we got a good
one here, and boy is he is he good at
So you're right, it's great to see that they got there.
They both got about you there.
Speaker 2 (18:33):
Yeah, Bam.
Speaker 4 (18:35):
I believe after his first or second year at Toledo
he had a chance to transfer to Alabama, and actually
he remained loyal to his school, which shows his character
because Toledo's was the one that gave him a shot,
that offered him that ride, and you know he's stuck
with it and of course continued finished out his career
(18:57):
at his college career at Toledo.
Speaker 5 (19:00):
But that tells you the character of that kid, and.
Speaker 1 (19:05):
He he could have and.
Speaker 4 (19:06):
Nobody would have blamed him for bolting for Alabama, given
because Saban even after Saban what I was trying to
lure him down to Tuscaloosa to transfer there. And uh,
you know, to cues credit, he made the most out
of what he had at Toledo and he sure is
(19:27):
so far turned it into a great NFL career.
Speaker 6 (19:30):
Here in the early going here in Philly. No, absolutely,
and shout out to shout out to Coop too. Obviously.
Speaker 5 (19:38):
Like I think we talked more about Coop than we
do about Q, just because he gets more targets and
he's a you know, he's the he's the Jackie Robinson
slot corners nowadays. Right when everybody like call me out
of the draft, like obviously he was. He was just
as talented. It's like Cooper de Junior, these other guys
that were christ Quinon and like these other guys we're
(20:00):
coming out in the draft and like obviously he played upolo.
It's very good defensive school, right, and it's like, oh,
can you play corner okay? And play corner okay, play corners?
You got to play safe, right.
Speaker 6 (20:13):
Dude's been on lockdown corner of this.
Speaker 5 (20:15):
Like last year when he came there after the injury
was great, and this year he's been nuts too, and
not for nothing. You know, hopefully we don't drop any
clips before my mom sees this. But I got Cooper
degene a my mom a Cooper de Jean shirt, So
you know, I only get stuts from my mom my
mom because she's like, oh, I know who he is,
(20:35):
Like yep, here you go like hey, uh like look,
you know who he is. Guy's stud he's not going
anywhere for the next couple of years. You know, let's
let's go all I love.
Speaker 1 (20:49):
I got my mom a Kelly Green Kelsey Jersey actually yeah,
before before retired. But it doesn't matter that he's retired,
Like you said, No, it's it's a name, right, It's
a name that's gonna live around at least you go
somewhere else in play, right, So my mom, uh yeah, yeah, yeah, No,
(21:10):
it's it's a It's awesome. And and they get their
first one and it's it's cool. And Zach Zach of
course getting recognized again for being a stud that he is.
You still go back to that story and that signing,
and you're just going, like, how did this turn out
in our favor?
Speaker 2 (21:25):
Right?
Speaker 1 (21:26):
Like you Traditionally Philadelphia don't get those signings, right, Those
guys happen after they leave Philadelphia. They leave Philadelphia and
then become stuts. We we very rarely don't get those.
Uh we bring them here and they become studs, which
is awesome to see.
Speaker 3 (21:43):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (21:43):
Sure, I'm a little I'm a little questioning the Cam
Jurgens one. Now, I that was a little little little
question again, Like I look, I think Cam's good. But again,
like similar to Jaalen Carter, like he down here, yeah,
and he's he's been dinged up, banged up. Like look again,
I think he's he's worthy of it. He's probably he's
(22:05):
probably still a top three center in the NFC, right,
like at least on paper, but like I think he's
probably had a bit of a down year. He probably
wouldn't have like considered himself a Pro Bowl this year
if you would have asked the question, right, But it's
it's nice to see, you know, getting recognized because again
it's a very difficulties from the play, especially because he's
undersized and because he's banged up.
Speaker 6 (22:26):
So good for him to you know, be able to
get to go as well.
Speaker 2 (22:29):
Keep in mind what helps to is winning, you know.
Speaker 4 (22:33):
I mean we're the spending camps. Albeit we looked like
shit at some porch portions of the season this year,
but nonetheless we're ten and five NFC's champs. You know, winning, winning,
winning gives you the benefit of the doubt. So if
(22:53):
you take a guy like your Jurgons or a Carter
or you know where if we were if they had
the same kind of year and we were five and ten. Well,
they're probably not getting the nine, you know, so winning
helps boys.
Speaker 5 (23:10):
And I'll say this, and I got a run.
Speaker 4 (23:13):
I think we win the football game thirty one twenty
one up in Buffalo.
Speaker 6 (23:17):
Let's go get a dub.
Speaker 4 (23:19):
I wish everybody a happy, safe holiday season. Wish everybody
a merry Christmas. Enjoy I hope Saturday brings everybody everything
they want, and enjoy.
Speaker 2 (23:31):
The time with your family.
Speaker 6 (23:32):
I'll let you guys carry it the rest of the
way before you go, Before you.
Speaker 2 (23:36):
Go, Tom, Merry Christmas. Greig, Hey, you guys do this
time I come in. I know, I didn't even talk yet.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
You guys are even with the muty. I didn't even
get a word. I was just leaving hands Mary Christmas
A good.
Speaker 4 (24:01):
Yeah, what get in honor of his Pro Bowl selection,
give me q He's gonna finally get a pick six.
Speaker 2 (24:08):
Damn it, Come on, Josh.
Speaker 1 (24:11):
Josh Allen is great, but he likes to throw the
ball up there. Sometimes he does now gets up in
that wind and flutters the wrong way.
Speaker 2 (24:21):
You know, give me a give me a Quinn.
Speaker 6 (24:27):
One birds win and on the offensive side of the ball.
Speaker 1 (24:31):
Ah e, give me.
Speaker 2 (24:34):
One why not.
Speaker 1 (24:35):
Let's go there you go. No Merry Christmas to you guys.
Right back, guy, you boys have a great one.
Speaker 6 (24:41):
We'll see you, buddy, Americas, Buddy.
Speaker 1 (24:44):
Mystics, misfits. Yeah, we talked about that. Brother. Jad's gonna
play with that angry, play angry after that pull. So
that's that's the that's the silver lining mystics, right is uh,
he's gonna be pissed off and and hopefully that that
pissed off this takes us through a deep deep on
into the playoffs.
Speaker 2 (25:03):
Again.
Speaker 6 (25:04):
Again.
Speaker 5 (25:04):
We hope that uh, these guys don't have to deal with,
you know, the Pro.
Speaker 6 (25:08):
Bowl week whatever it is. I hopefully we're a little busy.
Speaker 1 (25:11):
So we had a little fun fun uh poll question,
Pro Bowl voters deserve to get cold after snubbing Jordan Davis.
You agree or disagree?
Speaker 3 (25:23):
Well, you mean the fan base, now the voters, the voters.
Was the Pro Bowl not voted on by partially fans
as well?
Speaker 6 (25:32):
A little bit?
Speaker 3 (25:33):
Yeah, I'll be honest with you guys, I don't give
a rats answer about a Pro Bowl. I haven't give
a rats answer about a Pro Bowl since Sean Taylor
and anybody that really cares that much about it. Yeah, yeah,
I just don't put a lot of stock into it.
I care about all pros. Yeah, I mean that's what
I've always cared about it. I feel like it's not
a popularity contest and that's where the best players get selected.
Speaker 2 (25:54):
So I don't.
Speaker 1 (25:55):
I don't.
Speaker 3 (25:55):
Yeah, they decerted to get cold because they're morons, so
of course, yeah, but I was gonna do with Jordan Davis.
Speaker 2 (26:00):
They've been doing this for years. Again, I'm an all
pro guy.
Speaker 3 (26:04):
I doesn't get it makes more sense even though Pro
Bowl is cool for the fans and everything like that.
Speaker 2 (26:08):
But isn't it partial fan voting still?
Speaker 5 (26:10):
Or no? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (26:12):
It is? Yes, okay, certainly. Yeah, I mean defans didn't
vote for morons, for sure. But how many people outside
of Philly and outside.
Speaker 2 (26:19):
Of Georgia really really know an interior defensive tackle that
isn't like a double digit sack guy?
Speaker 3 (26:27):
How many of you guys know outside of be to Bay, right,
like outside of be to Bay because he he whooped
our ass?
Speaker 2 (26:33):
How many like you know what I mean? How many
like interior d tackles do you really know that are
run stoppers? First? Yet for a quarterback second? No?
Speaker 1 (26:43):
You're right, I probably can't name a bunch of them.
And we watch a lot of football.
Speaker 5 (26:50):
No again, like, hey, the last one that I know
that was actually really that goes Aaron Donald.
Speaker 6 (26:54):
He retired, so I couldn't die it. Quentin Williams, he's
a Pro bowler.
Speaker 1 (27:00):
You go, the NY could have Williams and Jailen Carter.
Couldn't have picked the worst worst year to put Jalen
Carter on the on the Pro Bowl. And yeah, the
game itself or whatever they call that now, the flag
football skills competition is is complete garbage. But these you know,
these guys, they all have clauses in their contracts for
(27:22):
you know, bonuses and stuff like that. And hopefully he
comes in as a as a replacement at some point
just in name right, I don't we don't. Yeah, defensive
guys don't play in the especially defensive lineman don't play
in the seven on seven flag football.
Speaker 5 (27:36):
They might like lift up the wall thing, Yeah, might
do that, like run somebody over.
Speaker 4 (27:42):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (27:42):
I haven't watched the Pro Bowl games or Pro Bowl
since I was like seven, so I don't know.
Speaker 1 (27:47):
I was here in Orlando a few years and like
could couldn't care less.
Speaker 2 (27:51):
Couldn't care Yeah, I think people stopped Caro a long
time ago.
Speaker 5 (27:54):
Right, Yeah, now like if if we if I if
I see Sewell all over Lane Johnson again for an
all problem, might lose my mind.
Speaker 6 (28:03):
But either way, yeah, at.
Speaker 1 (28:11):
Yeah, yeah, it was.
Speaker 2 (28:12):
It was a joke.
Speaker 1 (28:13):
It was a complete joke. Yeah, complete joke. Now let's
work to the bills. Let's get to the bills. Josh
Allen is playing. I didn't I didn't realize that going
into this week that there was a chance that he
wouldn't play like that.
Speaker 2 (28:28):
Here.
Speaker 1 (28:29):
Hearing those news, that news and those rumors or or
just reports were shocking to me because I didn't even realize.
But then when you think about it, then it's like
that's maybe probably why you you struggled against the Browns.
You know, you struggled against the Browns because Josh Allen
wasn't able to be the Josh Allen that he needs
to be, uh for that team because outside of him
(28:50):
and and James Cook on offense, they really don't have
very much.
Speaker 6 (28:56):
Yeah, especially after like I watched it.
Speaker 5 (29:00):
I watched their game this week against Cleveland because that
was that game was on TV on like I think
that was the TV game, and then I had like
red Zone on and like, Josh, not for nothing, Josh
Allen lost me a lot of.
Speaker 6 (29:11):
Money this past weekend.
Speaker 5 (29:12):
I had money on like bills like overs and like
all this other stuff, and like, Josh Allen's my fantasy quarterback.
In a couple of weeks, I lost two semi final matchups.
So Josh Allen pissed me off a lot this week, dude.
So I'm just sitting there just I don't just tough man.
But yeah, the Bills absolutely laid a stinker this past week.
(29:33):
The fact that, like that game wasn't a blowout against Cleveland,
even if it was in Cleveland, like you're playing Schador Sanders.
I think, uh, the other guy got in. The Oregon
guy got in a little bit too, because Shardor went
out for a little bit. Gabriel, Yeah, Dylan Gabriel got in.
But yeah, like that that game was miserable to watch.
(29:55):
They were up, they were up, like they were up
like two touchdowns early too. I'm like, all right, cool,
this is great.
Speaker 6 (29:59):
I had like the Bills like over points over for
the game, like minus like ten.
Speaker 5 (30:04):
Or something like something. It was I'm like, all right, cool,
I can just chalk that one up. And I lost
like two bar Lays because like they just didn't cover
their random like dude, you kidding me? But no, like
there their offense outside of James Cook and Josh Allen
that none of their receivers are any good in my opinion,
don't getting kid. I think is better than people think.
(30:25):
Dawson Knox has been there for a while, and their
tight ends like that's fine. Their offensive line is pretty good,
like again, their defense is solid, but I think they're
you know, for for a year, like they don't have
to deal with Patrick Mahomes. They're underachieving in my opinion.
So I mean, again, the Patriots are good with you
could say whatever you want about their schedule, but like
(30:47):
you've swept with the Patriots, you're you've we.
Speaker 6 (30:51):
Were talking about it earlier.
Speaker 5 (30:52):
Where they they've had some you know, some bad losses
like they lost the Dolphins, like they almost lost the Browns.
Speaker 6 (31:01):
Who else that lose to They lose the Jets.
Speaker 5 (31:02):
Of Falcons and the Falcons the Texans, all right, so
that that one's fun. But like two of their three losses,
like or three of two of their four losses are
pretty fad, so realistically they should they should be like
coasting to the one seed right now, I think, right like,
(31:23):
you know, not for nothing, going off the Buffalo is
a difficult game.
Speaker 6 (31:25):
You also have to do that this week.
Speaker 5 (31:27):
But like they should be. They shouldn't have had to
even think about fighting the Patriots. I think they should
control their own destiny as opposed to.
Speaker 2 (31:35):
Need some help.
Speaker 5 (31:38):
So little under, a little underwhelmed, as good as Josh
Allen is, like, they should be better than they are
in my opinion.
Speaker 1 (31:45):
So yeah, yeah, those you can't I know, and some
of them were on the road. But if you have
the m v P of the league and you got
the guy that everyone thinks he's the best player again
and I'm not saying he's not, but you have to
be able, you have to be able to to win
(32:05):
win those games against those inferior opponents. Uh and they
and they like and they don't even lose the games
they stunk in them. You know, they go back to
almost like the losses that we had to the Giants
and to the Bears, where where you know, we shouldn't
have lost those games, but yet not only did we
lose them, we look bad in them. Yeah, but they've
(32:26):
had more than that, right, Like, they've had more than
those just those few clunkers where you can kind of
chalk it up to you can kind of chalk it
up to just all right, it is the bad game.
They got caught right now, They've had a they've had
a few of those performances where it makes you question, really,
what's what's truly going on over there? Like, are they
really as good as they as they are perceived to be? Uh,
(32:50):
they're always gonna be dangerous, but are they truly as good?
And I don't I don't know that they are. I
don't know that they are. Earlier in the season, this
game probably looked like a lot a lot different the
game because of that perception. But hitting into it, we're
playing a little bit better, and I don't know that
they can say the same thing for that. So I
think this might be a perfect game for us to
(33:12):
continue that, to continue that role to the playoffs of
playing really good football.
Speaker 5 (33:19):
Yeah, I mean, considering it's a one and a half
point line that tells me the Eagles are favored on
our neutral field, which like a couple of weeks ago, I'll.
Speaker 6 (33:26):
Be like, oh, we're playing the Bills ship, We're going
to be six point dogs. Like that's not good. So
the fact that, like over the last couple of weeks,
that's changed a lot, So it tells.
Speaker 5 (33:35):
Me a lot right now.
Speaker 3 (33:37):
Yeah, I think only it's up for debate. I think
Josh Allen's best QB and football. But I wasn't hearing
you guys, but I'm dealing one of mic issue. But
I heard that portion. But yeah, I think he's the
best player in football. By I don't know the best
team in football. You know, they have holes, they have
things even on their defense. Offensively, you know in the
s Coo position spot outside of Cook. You know, the
(34:00):
tight ends are solid. They got okay wide receivers was
it's nothing, Okay, it might be being nice too.
Speaker 2 (34:07):
So he does so much for their offense. He that's
how they roll. They roll through him.
Speaker 3 (34:12):
And defensively, I just think they think they're frauds. I
think they've been frauds forever. They gotta and they got it.
They get you know, they got a defensive minded defensive
coordinator got a job by being a great defense coordinator.
In the defense, I don't know if it's ever been
damn good, you know, and it's probably been okay and good,
but I don't know if it's ever been like, you know,
the Buffalo Bills are.
Speaker 2 (34:33):
Gonna come smack in the math with McDermott, So that's like,
you know, they haven't. I don't think theytic great that way.
Speaker 1 (34:39):
That's always been their downfall, right Tommy. Yeah, Like when
they go up against the Chiefs, it's always the it's
always a defense that blows the game.
Speaker 3 (34:45):
For always, and that's tough when you're a defensive mind
head coach. So I'm not knocking them. Yeah, they're a
playoff team, all those things. I feel better about us obviously,
I you know, going in this game, I do still
think it's gonna be a tough game. They're fighting for
a lot more than we're fighting for, so I think
(35:06):
when you factor that in, you know, I would I'm
thinking like twenty eight twenty seven Eagles.
Speaker 6 (35:18):
Yeah, yeah, I think it's gonna be a close game too.
Speaker 5 (35:21):
I honestly, I haven't even decided if we're gonna win
or not yet, especially after Honestly, like if if the
Bills had won more convincingly, I think I'd be more
leaning towards the Eagles than I am right now. But
but especially after how bad the Bills played last week,
they're like, all right, hey, we gotta we got to
step our game up a little bit.
Speaker 1 (35:40):
So yeah, and I get all that, and that's all fine,
and that's all makes sense. But then you're having another
good team coming to town. Though it's not like the
Browns are coming back into town or you know, getting
the Dolphins at home with Quinn, you were playing where
you can go stop on someone's throat, right they filled up.
The defending Super Bowl champs are coming to town. Arless
(36:00):
of how of how good or bad they played on
the season over the last few weeks, you're still you
still have a really good, really connected football team coming
into town, and you better be on your p's and
q's and and and I think that's the part of
the Bills this year that is that has been there
more often this year than it has in the past,
(36:22):
is they're not dictating the play right, they're the ones
point being pro pro or they're playing reactive versus proactive.
You know, even in some of their wins, they're they're
like you said, Tommy, their defenses has has been really
bad this year. I mean, you give up what thirty
eight points to the to the Bengals, thirty four points
(36:42):
to the Bengals. You needed every inch of that game.
And I think that was a flaccyo game. Maybe Bengals
game was a flacyo game.
Speaker 5 (36:50):
Look here that was.
Speaker 1 (36:53):
That was right before Burrow went down.
Speaker 5 (36:56):
Yeah, look, I'm I checked these. I look these stats
up just to just to look at him. Just I
didn't think there would be as closest they are. Everybody
thinks Jalen Hurst said a bad like a bad year, right,
Jahners had a bad year in people's minds, right, merce
Jalen Hurst has thrown for thirty one hundred yards, twenty
(37:16):
four touchdowns, six picks, quarterback ratings one hundred. Right, Josh
Allen thirty four hundred yards, twenty five touchdowns, ten picks,
one oh three rating. So people love to give John
people love to give Jalen Hurts shit, and.
Speaker 2 (37:32):
Not for nothing.
Speaker 5 (37:33):
Josh Allen's has one more touchdown pass and four more
picks than he does with only three hundred more passing yards.
Speaker 6 (37:40):
Now, like that doesn't include rushing yards.
Speaker 5 (37:41):
I think you know again, Josh has probably had decent
amount I know Jalen has rushing, but strictly passing where
Josh Allen is exponentially a better passer than Jalen Hurts
is not that far off.
Speaker 3 (37:56):
Yeah, I think that's just really playmakers, right, Uh, that
he doesn't have that Jalen has.
Speaker 2 (38:03):
You know, it's part of it for sure at the
wide receiver position.
Speaker 3 (38:07):
Everywhere else he's got playmakers gotta go up insive line,
you know. And you know he's got a couple of
guys you know, wide receiver wise that do some things
for him.
Speaker 2 (38:17):
But if he had a j sure there's numbers would
be up that up for him.
Speaker 6 (38:23):
Yeah, I'm sure.
Speaker 5 (38:24):
Again, Like you know, I think James Coke is probably
a better receiving back than Saquon is.
Speaker 6 (38:30):
So like he's getting those yards there.
Speaker 2 (38:33):
Yeah, no, he does, and he gets get too much.
Speaker 6 (38:38):
People love people love to look just to look at stats.
Speaker 5 (38:41):
He would just love to look at stats, right, just
empty stats like there they are, that's what they are.
Does that do anything?
Speaker 3 (38:46):
But yeah, yeah, I think I think a lot is uh,
like the eyes because he's you know, he's just got
a he's got a bigger arm. Yeah, for your body
moves quicker, so I mean, perception is he you know,
and reality is he know. He He's better skill set
(39:08):
wise over across the board, but it seems not as good.
Speaker 2 (39:13):
And that's why I think we got a chance to
go up there and win.
Speaker 1 (39:15):
And that matters.
Speaker 2 (39:16):
Yep, that matters, guys, you know what I mean. Jail
verse Josh, it's better team. I agree that home field better.
Speaker 5 (39:32):
For sure, like it's but people will in the me Again,
I try to avoid national media as much as I can,
but people at all the vegles will pay the bills
this week. If Josh Allen vers Jalen Hurts, they're gonna
they're gonna put the matchup out there, right, and like
you know, I'm not gonna. I'm not gonna disagree that
Josh Allen is a better passer than Jalen Hurts because
I agree.
Speaker 1 (39:50):
With that take.
Speaker 5 (39:51):
But like people are, like, you can't go to stats
this year and say that he's been that much better
passed in the football, right, And like John, again, Jalen's
probably played worse than his stats show because he's had
some really bad games, but like again, just look at
him paper, they're not that far apart. Josh has obviously
(40:12):
had more picks. But like people think that you know, again,
Jalen's a worst passers. But again, like if you take
care of the football, I'd like to think you're a
pretty good passer of the football.
Speaker 6 (40:23):
Yeah, isn't that the number one thing?
Speaker 2 (40:25):
At least? You know that's pretty important.
Speaker 5 (40:28):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (40:29):
Absolutely, up there, brother, you know what I mean? Absolutely
up there.
Speaker 3 (40:33):
Again, the eyes, he's better, he's stronger those things. But
you know sometimes he takes big chances.
Speaker 2 (40:42):
Oh he's not.
Speaker 3 (40:43):
He's not scared to take chances. And that turns into
a little bit more turnover game. So he's been going
to turn the football over it but again you know
he does. There's so much on his shoulders with that
offense too, So I'll give him that patsy. He turns
the football over more than Janalen does. But to your point, like,
it's not like he's having this monster MVP season compared
(41:04):
to what Jalen's have. Like there's one guy that's having
that type of season. That's Matthew Stafford or at the
quarterback position.
Speaker 2 (41:12):
You know that again, the numbers are off the charts. Yeah,
you know, everybody else's numbers are.
Speaker 3 (41:17):
I mean, my guests, I hadn't checked out every quarterback
stat around the stats around the lake.
Speaker 2 (41:21):
But my guess is the rest of them are all around,
you know, at similar level.
Speaker 3 (41:26):
You know, a couple four or five hundred yards apart
growing and then the difference maker from the good ones,
the top ten, like to put them, the top ten
guys don't turn the football over at time, and that's
where you that's where you break it down. If people
want to tell me the best quarterbacks in the league
right this minute, just go to interceptions, turnovers.
Speaker 2 (41:44):
They're your best guys are usually going to be your
best guys.
Speaker 1 (41:50):
Yeah, no, there's still question about and to that point,
like I find it funny that after either last week,
it was probably the week before because he was a dud,
but like now all of a sudden, Josh Allen's like
in international media, it is the MV bit kind of
to that point, right, like, all right, then then let's
(42:11):
throw the let's throw the comparison of stats up there,
because we know it's not the same, right, Like we
could sit here and say, yeah, these these these qbs
aren't the same. But if this guy's, if this guy
is now all of a sudden MVP, what about this guy.
Speaker 2 (42:25):
Just good.
Speaker 3 (42:26):
Yeah, listen, he goes, he goes here. You know, I'll
throw your numbers. You know, he he throws three tds.
No Russias for a fourth. I'm just giving you some
some wild numbers. He goes throws for you know, the
two thirty game. You know, Russia's for forty. Say, I mean, shoot,
(42:46):
his numbers are right in a conversation if there's no turnovers,
because now what's his absolutely go thirty?
Speaker 2 (42:53):
What's he at right now? Twenty seven? I'm not looking
at anything.
Speaker 5 (42:57):
Uh, Je twenty, Jalen's at twenty four. Josh is twenty
five touchdown passes each.
Speaker 3 (43:05):
Yeah, so v throws like you know, yeah, I still
think you gotta get up into that thirty thirty window.
Speaker 2 (43:12):
Yeah, but yeah, I'm not putting them.
Speaker 3 (43:15):
You know, I'm not putting jal in an MVP conversation
because I don't care enough about it.
Speaker 2 (43:20):
Back to the Pro Bowl, No, I don't. I don't
care enough about it.
Speaker 3 (43:23):
You know, I'm here to try to get the broad Shoot,
I'm gonna try to win Super Bowls as.
Speaker 5 (43:26):
A fan.
Speaker 2 (43:28):
And the rest of that stuff for bad teams or
good teams. Right, We're are a party gift, we've got
a Pro Bowl, or watch them play fucking flag football.
Speaker 3 (43:38):
And I'm not trying to be this guy on Christmas,
you know what I mean. But like, come on, no,
I don't care about any of them. I told you guys,
I care about the All Pro and I care about
because all pros tell me if I got legitimate guys.
And then there's our arts aren't fan favorites, and then
you know you care about Yeah, you care about it.
(43:58):
N see title games is what I should say, right,
I shouldn't even put it on like a Super Bowls
every year, but I have an opportunity to be in
an NFC title game year and year out.
Speaker 2 (44:09):
Is where I consider a gold standard back at Jeffrey.
Speaker 1 (44:14):
Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
Speaker 2 (44:19):
Not for sure.
Speaker 5 (44:21):
Yeah, I'm excited to see what happens this week. Right,
I'm excited because again you have you know again, the
Eagles have played a couple of later opponents recently, so
I want to see what they can do this week.
Speaker 2 (44:33):
And they played a light ponent last week two.
Speaker 3 (44:34):
Right to your point, you got to talk I think
when I was kicking in and out headphone wise, but
you know, he played a lighter opponent and they didn't
show up with all tense purposes.
Speaker 2 (44:43):
I thought that game was over.
Speaker 3 (44:44):
I thought they lost that game because when Cass said
who won, I said, oh, the Browns out did. And
then I said, hold on, I don't think they did.
Hold on and I went back and look, I saw
twenty twenty. I said, no, actually they did not. They
browned themselves. But to that point, I mean, you know,
if we a twenty three twenty game against Las Vegas,
we're flipping out. We have a twenty twenty game, we're
(45:07):
flipping out. So you know, again both but.
Speaker 2 (45:11):
You know, we had a game of home and away.
That game was away. For that that's a they're good man,
and they're they're there are a lot of like us
in a way. Like you know, they just said they
said the Chiefs over there and they haven't been able
to beat them. And now I got to do in
New England again for another decade. So it doesn't end
for them. But I do think we're better.
Speaker 3 (45:33):
But you know what that comes down to, dude, Our
mm was so freaking simple, because how good our defense is.
Speaker 2 (45:40):
Don't turn the football over? Don't don't You're most likely
we're talking Sunday night and talking it up.
Speaker 3 (45:52):
So we're talking. We're going into New Year. Hot is
a goddamn pistol, is the big fellow. Uncle Wilson likes
to say on Sunday, right we come.
Speaker 2 (46:02):
On, hop on, hop on the ride with me right now.
Speaker 3 (46:05):
I mean, we were win away from as a fan base.
Like I said on Sunday, I don't give a rats
ask about everybody else. I care about how we feel.
But we're gonna feel really good if we get a
win anyway on Sunday and then going into that.
Speaker 2 (46:19):
Air quote by week team, Yep, here we got here.
We got with a home playoff game win. We forget
you forget a four game skid. You win Sunday at
four game skid. Everything else. Watch the local media what
Watch the local media, Homer Simpson.
Speaker 3 (46:38):
Right, Watch the entire local media, the w i P
Nights and by the fanatic NBC Sports Philadelph, all of
them just.
Speaker 2 (46:47):
Going there. And I'm not trying to listen. I'm not
trying to, you.
Speaker 3 (46:50):
Know, throw jabs again Christmas Eve here. But it's just
the fact that the agenda's going to switch real quick,
and that agenda is going to switch.
Speaker 2 (46:58):
Like what we wrong? Like were we wrong about Kevin, butla,
will we wrong about jailing Hurt? It's like, were we
wrong about Nick Sirianni? Again?
Speaker 3 (47:06):
Well we whatever, whatever their their issues were, are we wrong?
He said Sunday? Right, I mean you're gonna walk out
of here most likely your three main guys skill position
wise all over one thousand on down years.
Speaker 6 (47:21):
Yeah, yep, yep, yep.
Speaker 2 (47:25):
And a tight end with with a ten piece nugget.
You know what I mean.
Speaker 6 (47:30):
Year, Hey, here's here's my ya.
Speaker 3 (47:34):
Everybody, everybody, everybody got a little taste, okay. And and
they did a good job of that. And again, I'm
not crowning ship till it's over. I'm just saying they've
done a better job of play calling. They've done a
better job job of design, they've done Jal's done a
better job of saying what I told you guys. It
says in time, look at you, you're you're smartest football
(47:55):
guy in the room.
Speaker 2 (47:55):
No, I'm not. I'm just telling you.
Speaker 3 (47:58):
We're built for him to use his damn last and
it opens up everything else. That second he started using
his legs, guys, what started happening with the running game? Oh,
I don't know, I don't know they started running football better. Oh,
riddle me that, Oh the big plays open up even more. No,
riddle me back, Like this is again. We talked about
identities four weeks ago and I'm yelling and screaming their
identity has been here for four freaking years, going on
(48:19):
the fifth stop.
Speaker 2 (48:21):
Looking for a new one.
Speaker 3 (48:23):
You won a ton of football games with this identity specifically,
and you're gonna.
Speaker 7 (48:28):
Be like, what else is out there? We're bored and
actually even get bored in the regular season like we
would have Madden, you know what I mean, Like they
let me try something else this week. You know again
the past let me go air forty times? Yeah, okay,
that day age well, and I think I think that's
what you get do.
Speaker 3 (48:43):
Plus I think you get into There was a period
of bad play calling and I saw terrible design and
no rhythm.
Speaker 2 (48:49):
Right, we all agree there, But again, man, do it all.
Speaker 3 (48:53):
We're talking resiliency and even they go loose, you know
what I mean, even they lose Sunday in a good game.
Speaker 2 (48:58):
Right, This is tough group, dude.
Speaker 3 (49:01):
And the reason I got him winning Sundays because there's
the one thing in the National Football League that will
always travel around the country, will travel to London, they'll
travel to Brazil, They'll travel to they want to play
at the goddamn.
Speaker 2 (49:11):
Miffel Tower, They'll travel there. Wherever you want to play it.
Speaker 3 (49:14):
Defenses travel, and this one has for the last two years,
this being the second of it. Right, they travel, They'll
travel and smack you in the map. And I'm excited
for it. I'm excited.
Speaker 2 (49:25):
You know, we can take you. Listen, he's prone. He's
prone for interceptions.
Speaker 3 (49:30):
You know, he's prone to you know, like any great player,
he's prone to try to do too much at times,
which can create fumbles.
Speaker 2 (49:36):
Listen, we said it back in twenty seventeen. Greg.
Speaker 3 (49:39):
It actually got me on a bad MGM commercial. If
my dogs come eat, if my dog's up front, come e,
it's a rap. I'm gonna tell you that right now too.
If they come eat and they smack him around.
Speaker 2 (49:51):
Now, he's not a.
Speaker 3 (49:52):
Softie that's gonna start getting happy feet or nothing like that.
But if they're able to get to him and beat
him up little bit, especially with a badfoot. But he's
got badfoot though, up, That's what I'm saying. And you're
able to you're able to hit him a little bit.
I mean, listen, let's go, you know, so they I
feel like I'm gonna win every game. I don't know
there's a team that beats us. If our if our
(50:12):
defensive fronts on their A game, you tell me who
it is.
Speaker 2 (50:15):
I don't.
Speaker 3 (50:16):
I don't know who beats us. What Matthew Stafford, if
they're on the A game, he's on his ass. Jared Well, Jared,
God's out. We already saw that movie.
Speaker 2 (50:22):
Okay, the Rock Party is gonna be another. It's gonna
be another rip u c L. I mean, and go
down the go down the line line of guys.
Speaker 3 (50:33):
Who else Sam Darnold and he'll will freaking be seeing
He'll be seeing ghosts, ghosts, freaking you know, rhinos and
you know, be like lions and tigers and bears on mine.
So he'll be seeing everything. The only guy.
Speaker 2 (50:47):
There's one guy.
Speaker 3 (50:50):
And you know, paint me up, but it is Caleb Williams, right,
it is Kale Like he is the one guy that
that he and break that down.
Speaker 2 (51:01):
He he's maybe the one guy. I'm not overrating him
at this point.
Speaker 3 (51:05):
Of his career, just leg wise, I mean, come on,
give me other NFC guys and I know him. Well,
you saw what happened last year with you.
Speaker 6 (51:12):
I mean that that's it for the playoffs this year,
that's it.
Speaker 1 (51:15):
There's a playoff teams. But you saw a struggle last
year with Jayden Daniels being being something new, being more athletic,
being more able to run. Sometimes, Cale Williams looks like
a wide receiver running back with how quickie he moves
and and cuts in and out like through this stretch.
So no, Tommy, you're absolutely right, that is probably the
one guy that you that we sit there and draw
(51:36):
off who we potentially could play in the playoffs, and
and it gives you a little pause, you know, gives
you he's also just beat us.
Speaker 2 (51:45):
I'm not listen.
Speaker 3 (51:46):
I'll tell you why I'm scared of him, and I'm
not scared of him because they're not going to beat
twice in a year. I gotta I believe that. So
that takes my wirier away. But just in terms of resilient,
find ways to win football games, and they'll take either a.
Speaker 2 (51:59):
Wire and never out of it. And they believe that.
Speaker 3 (52:01):
Now they got a damn good head coach, okay, and
a damn good quarterback, right, and they take the football
away a lot. They are dangerous. They are the dangerous.
That's a dangerous team. I don't look the Rams dangerous.
Seattle doesn't scare me. I already had this conversation about
San Francisco, like, come on in love to have you,
(52:22):
I mean, please, please, I'm begging you to come on,
have to seize the table, all right, and I'll be
smacking around in the backyard in ten minutes.
Speaker 2 (52:29):
Okay, in ten minutes it would be Josh Johnson me again.
Speaker 1 (52:37):
But that's it. That's that's it. Because the other ones
in the South, and at this point the Panther, Yo.
Speaker 3 (52:47):
They're a better team. A lot of credit goes to
Brace Young. He's gotten better day. McMillan is an absolute pimp.
So home run on the draft there for them in Carolina.
Definitely a better football team.
Speaker 2 (52:57):
Right, but they walk into this building.
Speaker 3 (53:03):
I don't care that game's played on a Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday,
I don't care.
Speaker 2 (53:09):
That can not happen.
Speaker 3 (53:10):
If that happens and we got you know, if the
five seven quarterback comes in here and bells to ask
us we weren't supposed to be feeling deep anyway, then, right,
we may have a prod and now we won't get
them because we're not sure. You know, we don't have
worry about getting them.
Speaker 1 (53:28):
But yeah, I mean outside chance, but yes, mostly.
Speaker 6 (53:34):
Yeah, very very very low chance.
Speaker 3 (53:36):
We played then, so San Frans scary. I mean, I'm
not looking ahead here. We're in the playoffs and we
will have to look ahead. But you know, I hate
doing that. But like the like who who puts the
fear in you?
Speaker 2 (53:49):
I told you, I think the.
Speaker 3 (53:50):
Only one that semi fears me a little bit of Chicago?
Now the Rams do, uh, but we own that ass.
Speaker 6 (54:01):
So look so here, look look at look at the
playoff teams.
Speaker 2 (54:05):
Right, I'm not.
Speaker 5 (54:07):
Right now, you're I'm not afraid of Seattle, not afraid
of them whatsoever at all. Right, So, okay, like you
just said, the Bears, who we we probably had our
worst game of the season against, so that that's not
gonna happen again.
Speaker 6 (54:22):
Right, We're the three again, I.
Speaker 5 (54:25):
Hope not whoever, whoever, whoever the hell we play Caleb
Williams in his first ever playoff game, okay, first second
ever playoff game.
Speaker 2 (54:33):
But come back again.
Speaker 6 (54:36):
Depending on what happens. But yeah, absolutely.
Speaker 2 (54:40):
You're not.
Speaker 5 (54:41):
You're not playing the NFC South, whoever they play, they're
losing to the five seed. Right, and then you know,
either San Francisco or the Rams. Right, you've already beaten
the Rams this year. Okay, San Francisco, I'm not afraid
of it at all. Their banged up, hard as hell.
They're going to try to block Jalen Phillips with a
tight end and praise get hurt again.
Speaker 6 (55:01):
So that's fine.
Speaker 2 (55:02):
And then and then.
Speaker 5 (55:04):
Whoever gets the seven seed, whether it's the Lions or
the Packers, who you beat both of them a right
of this year.
Speaker 2 (55:09):
I love the fucking Matt Leaf. I would love to
smack him round. I love.
Speaker 5 (55:17):
Look, I forget who said I forget who said it
earlier this year, earlier in the show, Like, there's not
a clear number one team in the league this year.
Speaker 2 (55:27):
There's not I think you're wrong. There's not you're wrong
but right, you're you're wrong, but right. There is no no,
no who, No guys, guys, guys, guys. This is not
Homer talk. This is the facts.
Speaker 3 (55:41):
Who's at the toughest schedule in the National Football League,
Who's at the toughest test that actually won those games
when they when those games were important earlier in the year,
some big ass wins this football team. Let's not ever
run away from what this, what this season was, what
this what this schedule was. Even though I poo pooed it,
you know, early on the year, but I still said,
(56:02):
that's crazy. And as we went through it, it's gotten crazier.
You know, the fact that you didn't have back to
back home games, the fact that you played on a
Thursday or Friday, a freaking Monday, you played all over.
Speaker 1 (56:12):
Four short weeks.
Speaker 2 (56:14):
Yeah, short short.
Speaker 3 (56:15):
Weeks like the NFL did the Eagles zero favors and
all the Eagles they say is we're going to be
the only team in twenty years to go back to
back division titles in the NFCS. And we're back, baby,
and we're still here and and and they're able to
figure it out here as they went on. But they mean,
nobody's had a tougher schedule, nobody's had bigger wins across
the board. Right if you want to talk about like
(56:35):
strength as schedule, if it's like college over like that,
you know, or it's it's NCA We're getting ready for
Marchs madness we're and we're strength to schedule on it
neven better strength to schedule.
Speaker 2 (56:47):
So to say there agent the queer favorite, the only
reason that's the reason is there.
Speaker 3 (56:51):
This team doesn't have twelve wins right now, Right, it
makes sense that that's where perception isn't there.
Speaker 2 (56:57):
But if we're really looking at it, taking a step back,
even if Eagles.
Speaker 3 (57:00):
Fans, dude, the rain super Bowl champs, right is had
the hardest schedule in football, not even like a Chiefs schedule.
Speaker 2 (57:08):
It is the hardest one in years. And they won
a division and they're back in again.
Speaker 3 (57:14):
Like to me, until somebody beats that team, they're still
the best team because we've watched in years pace. We
watch the Patriots win eleven games to go win in
Super Bowl. We watch the Chiefs win eleven games and
go win in Super Bowl. So like that's light turn
on time then, because this team is had a history
of light switching. They had they had they had one
year when they din't like switch twenty pointy three because
(57:35):
there wasn't a switch in the world, Like the electricity
was out, it was done.
Speaker 2 (57:38):
There wasn't a generator.
Speaker 3 (57:39):
You can about VJ edge come in from the Bahamas
would the general nothing would have worked here. But every
other year, come playoff time, turn it on and let's go.
So two out of three years, light switch. I mean,
come on, come on, how isn't there?
Speaker 2 (57:53):
How are they not?
Speaker 3 (57:54):
How are they not the clear cut number one? Even
though they're not number one because we don't whereby.
Speaker 2 (58:00):
Finishes no team. That's what the record says. Okay, dude.
The other thing is wonter freaking super Bowl.
Speaker 3 (58:08):
Okay, has dealt with injuries and everything else as though
were You've given us the worst schedule in NFL history,
and then we follow it out by by being back
in the dance again.
Speaker 5 (58:20):
No again, Like look, that's you know, more credit to
them and seem for you know, the perseverance, especially after
you're playing as late, you know, playing what, uh, twenty
games last year, twenty one games last year. That's a lot,
right then obviously you've you've weathered the storm, You've had
guys are tiring on you, You've got guys stepping away,
(58:42):
you've had dealt with injuries. You know, I guess it's
like we're we're more locked in on the birds at least,
you know, you don't think of them as being the
best team in the league. But I guess if you're
look at everybody else and they're not the best team
in the league, what's the other.
Speaker 2 (58:55):
Option at this point?
Speaker 1 (58:57):
Yeah, So I said it in a year, right, And
I think it was on this show we were going
through and talking and no, it was like, there's no
you know. I think it was no it that brought
it up both times, and and earlier in the year.
I think I said the same thing. It was like,
it's us. It might not look like us, but it's us. Yeah,
So real quick, on the schedule, there was a post
(59:18):
on on X I thought. I thought I bookmarked it
so I could pull it up, but I couldn't find it.
But we had games on five different days. We played
every day, played every day that there's games Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday.
There were there were for a few weeks where we
did get the extra rest because of all the short
weeks though, Right, but back to so we've had two
(59:40):
back to back road games Week six and seven, and
then Week sixteen in this week and last week six seven,
a whole bunch of late divisional games.
Speaker 2 (59:51):
Right.
Speaker 1 (59:51):
You had the Cowboys late in the year and obviously
to Washington here and then we did have one of
the most difficult wins facing ten teams at AD the
playoffs previous years to me to your point, and a
lot of those games we won. In those early games
especially we won. Uh. The only thing that worries me
about the Rams we have owned them, and I think
(01:00:14):
and I think McVeigh does come up short and you know,
small in a lot of big moments. Although he did win,
they are due to beat us, that's the only thing.
It's just it comes back to being doe.
Speaker 3 (01:00:25):
Right.
Speaker 1 (01:00:25):
We've played them so much you have to think sooner
or later that they're gonna they are a good team,
that they're going to get get over our hump. And
I just hope it's not this year because I guess
I bet you are seeing them again.
Speaker 2 (01:00:39):
That's a funny way to say, to get over our hump. Yeah,
they get over there. They're gonna get over their own
hump against us.
Speaker 3 (01:00:46):
Right, And I and I agree with you, Greg to
a point, right, But sometimes when you just own an ask,
you own an ass for some reason. But to your point,
does it ever end or is just hey, we got
your number, right and you come in all fired up,
like this is the time we're gonna get revenge, and
you're all revenge game. And then sometimes when you're two
revenge games, you can be too jazzed up, Like you know,
(01:01:07):
I was mentioning one of my players to say about
about baseball, but I brought in football because the football guy,
and I just wanted to correlate it with him about like.
Speaker 2 (01:01:14):
What do they tell you in football?
Speaker 3 (01:01:15):
They tell you the same thing like don't not we
tell you baseball do less than to play right, But
in football they're essentially telling you the same thing by
saying do your job, which means state what is your
gap responsibility?
Speaker 2 (01:01:30):
Right?
Speaker 3 (01:01:31):
All those types of little things like where are you
supposed to be in the cover two as a safety?
Speaker 2 (01:01:36):
Where are you supposed to be right? Are you in
the spots you're supposed to be? Are you doing your job?
Or are you trying to do too much? Right? And
like Keeven's Lineman's perfect example, you guys try to do
too much? Are out it? Like they didn't they didn't
hit their gap right?
Speaker 1 (01:01:49):
Right?
Speaker 2 (01:01:49):
They want to get out feel too much? Bang? You
got a running play right by it? You see it
all time? Right, So that's why it's pressed on these
guys like due your job. I think it was a
Bill Balichick one, like everybody guy's our job. So yeah,
I don't know what the hell I was going with
that now, but.
Speaker 5 (01:02:07):
No, I mean I get it.
Speaker 2 (01:02:11):
Factor.
Speaker 3 (01:02:11):
Yeah, it's you be too jazzed up and now you're
you're not playing response, like you're not playing gap responsibility or.
Speaker 2 (01:02:18):
Things you need to do, and you're you're you're you're
playing hair on fire too much and you're dogging a
hardwood floor.
Speaker 3 (01:02:25):
So something that what goes against maybe the Rams or
even like the Niners per se, you know they came
in here with some of the same guys. Maybe you
know they could be overly jazz for a football game too,
and then you get smacked around.
Speaker 5 (01:02:37):
Yeah, no, I think I think what you're getting at
here is like you have to keep the even keel,
right if you start if you start like shaking, right,
you start shaking, like that's the problem, Like you're just
like this all day, then you're good, right, So yeah,
I mean it makes makes a ton of sense.
Speaker 3 (01:02:54):
Even when you like when you lose two or three
games in a row, right, like at that point, you
still are you here, like you're talking about not here,
not here's a player like not too high, not too low.
Speaker 2 (01:03:04):
So even that, can you just ride back? Can you stay?
Not easy?
Speaker 5 (01:03:09):
I think I think it'd be a lot easily, you know,
with with the Rams specifically, right, So is this isn't
just the Nick Sirianni thing, like it's a Sirianni thing,
like Doug Peterson owned him as well, right, like the
like the Eagles have owned the Rams for the last
decade more or less. Right, So, I think if you
were talking about maybe a Chicago or a Green Bay
(01:03:30):
or something like that, like the Bucks that we had
problems with, right where we go somewhere and they have
a different they have a different, like a different atmosphere.
At least with LA, there's still Rams fans. You go
out to l A, it's half Eagles fans, right, So
I think that that's a bit of a like a
difference there. So if you end up going there, depending
(01:03:50):
on whatever happens in that division, right, they're either coming
back here where this is a fucking house of horrors
for them, right, or we got to go to LA
and it's half Eagles fans anyway, So who really cares?
Speaker 6 (01:04:00):
But I think that's a big difference in that relationship
versus like if you have to go into Green Bay
Writers or somewhere else like that.
Speaker 1 (01:04:08):
And I think, I think what it might be because
as we're talking through this, it's starting to click in
my mind. Look at the style of quarterbacks. Matthew Stafford
pocket passer, Jared Goff pocket passer, Jordan Love pocket passer,
you know, Brock Perdy pocket passer, or just whoever's playing
for for San Francisco, because we've seen them all, they're
(01:04:28):
all pocket past. What has given us, what has given
us issues in the past, Jaden Daniels being being mobile,
Caleb Williams this year being mobile, Jackson Dark being mobile,
you know earlier this year when you look at you know,
our losses. So as we're talking through this, it's almost
like dang light bulb, hello, idiot.
Speaker 6 (01:04:49):
Those drops Herbert, justin Herbert being a rushing for.
Speaker 1 (01:04:52):
Like the charges earlier early part of the game, he
was a pocket passer because he didn't want to run.
And then once you started getting more well that's when
they flipped their switch for us. Because what those big plays,
as you said, as you mentioned r were picked up
by his feet not by his army. We locked his
arm down.
Speaker 5 (01:05:11):
He passerating that game was awful. It was he ran
for like seventy or eighty yards and like it was
all on third down.
Speaker 6 (01:05:16):
Too, Like he just get him downfield, get him down,
get outfield, and like just crazy stuff. Yeah, like if
if you can contain these.
Speaker 5 (01:05:25):
Like again, pocket passers. We just talked about our our
how good our secondary has been. We just talked about
how good our secondary has been, and like how guys
are getting snubbed from, you know, making the Pro Bowl
in the D line. And then you got like, na,
Kobe Dean is a really good blitzer, who can these
guys are standing still in the pocket. Then Kobe's obviously
(01:05:45):
showing he can blow up running back and Jack Baun's
good going side to side.
Speaker 6 (01:05:49):
It's like, look, as long as these guys don't.
Speaker 5 (01:05:51):
Have time to sit back there and throw all day
or they're not escaping the pocket, what are you going
to do?
Speaker 2 (01:05:57):
Yeah? Right, absolutely, who do we have back? We got
Jaeling back quartera mm hmm. Kobe's out right.
Speaker 1 (01:06:09):
No, I think that Kobe's in.
Speaker 2 (01:06:12):
I don't think he practiced. I could be wrong.
Speaker 6 (01:06:15):
I think he's I think he's okay.
Speaker 2 (01:06:18):
I know, I know he said. I know.
Speaker 5 (01:06:21):
He told somebody on Sunday that he could if if
the game went mattered, he probably could have came back
in and played that game. So he'll he'll be okay.
Speaker 1 (01:06:30):
The funny thing on the INJ report today that I
saw was a J. Brown did not participate teeth.
Speaker 6 (01:06:39):
Yeah, yeah, he had wisdom teeth surgery.
Speaker 1 (01:06:42):
Oh did he actually? Yeah? Yeah, on what day? Probably
yesterday or today?
Speaker 6 (01:06:51):
Probably yesterday. I would assume.
Speaker 2 (01:06:54):
Yesterday. I missed it.
Speaker 1 (01:06:56):
NA Kobe did practice, Land didn't practice, and Lean didn't practice.
Speaker 6 (01:07:03):
Well, all right, okay, I only.
Speaker 2 (01:07:07):
Thought that JN. Carter was the one officially today.
Speaker 1 (01:07:13):
Yeah, practice, but they all they all talk like he's playing.
Speaker 6 (01:07:18):
Yeah, yeah, I heard.
Speaker 5 (01:07:20):
I heard on Sunday that Lane was going to play
this week. Then I heard the same thing about N Kobe.
They'll be fine for next week. They'll be fine for
next week.
Speaker 1 (01:07:27):
So field that he was okay. Yeah, he said it
on the field, which which I found strange because it
was right away.
Speaker 6 (01:07:38):
Yeah, So I'm not I'm not worried about that.
Speaker 1 (01:07:40):
I'm sure they'll do a walk through tomorrow and then
another practice and then the final practice on Friday. Uh, yeah,
which you'll probably see a bunch of these guys pull up.
Speaker 2 (01:07:50):
They walked through tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (01:07:52):
Oh maybe they do a full full flip. Yeah, maybe Christmas.
Speaker 2 (01:07:56):
Christmas. I thought they that might be a shutdown day
for but maybe I'm wrong.
Speaker 1 (01:08:01):
Well don't they'll release an injury report and just call
it a walk through, you know what I mean.
Speaker 6 (01:08:06):
Yeah, they'll do like they might be like some meeting
or something.
Speaker 5 (01:08:09):
But like I think they'll probably have like some sort
of practice Friday, like maybe more than a walkthrough on Friday.
Speaker 6 (01:08:15):
And they're like then they would normally do just because
of the holiday.
Speaker 5 (01:08:19):
But hey, look in in Buffalo this week, it's gonna
be forty five degrees. We're not We're not getting snow
up in Buffalo. It might be a little it might
be a little rainy, but I feel like that works
out better for us, especially with our passing game compared
to theirs. For sure, might be a little uh might
be a little replay of two years ago when it
(01:08:41):
was a swampy.
Speaker 6 (01:08:43):
Mess in South Philly where the Kelly the Kelly Greens.
Speaker 1 (01:08:47):
I thought that was one of best games in his career.
It was great.
Speaker 6 (01:08:50):
They had a phenomenal fourth quarter comeback and.
Speaker 1 (01:08:52):
You weren't that fourth quarter and overtime.
Speaker 5 (01:08:55):
Yep, the jailing They go five wide spread and then
he was a quarterback draw against the Blitz and he
bring it in from fifteen yards out.
Speaker 6 (01:09:04):
Great Smitty had a nice touchdown catch in that game.
Speaker 5 (01:09:08):
Oh, the Key has had a nice touchdown catch in
that game, Lema, this is the Keys went up against.
Uh might have been Jordan Poyer had a good catch
up touchdown catch.
Speaker 1 (01:09:18):
Yeah, I think it was. Yeah, I remember that he
dropped the big ball on what Monday? Yeah, he dropped
him big ball.
Speaker 3 (01:09:30):
So rot you you come out of a monster win
by Hawaii or and by jacking out the late night shower?
Speaker 6 (01:09:37):
Did they win?
Speaker 2 (01:09:38):
They were down, they scored a touchdown with ten seconds left.
Speaker 6 (01:09:42):
They were down twenty one nothing. What's the score?
Speaker 2 (01:09:44):
Thirty five? Thirty one?
Speaker 5 (01:09:46):
Let's go Rainbow Warriors, Baby, let's go heck yeah, let
me let me some late night whack action.
Speaker 6 (01:09:54):
Love that. What are you gonna say, Greg.
Speaker 1 (01:09:59):
Well, you you're talking backstage maybe on the show that
this might this might be a rare pick of an
Eagle's loss for you, after all discussion and talking through it,
are you still there? Did we? Did we swear you are?
Are you back?
Speaker 4 (01:10:18):
Look?
Speaker 6 (01:10:18):
Man, I hate picking against the Eagles, I really really do, but.
Speaker 2 (01:10:29):
No, I can't do it. I can't do it.
Speaker 5 (01:10:32):
I think our offense is much I think our offense
as a whole is better than their offense.
Speaker 6 (01:10:36):
And again we already talked about their defense. So if
if this game was being played in Philly, it would.
Speaker 5 (01:10:42):
Absolutely pick the Eagles. If it was going to be
a snowball game, I'd probably pick the Bills. But after
looking through everything, it's I think it's gonna be a
close game. I think it's gonna be real close. Maybe
like one of those whoever has the ball last type
scenarios here, let's let's go. Uh, let's let me, let
(01:11:06):
me have a weird scores go twenty six twenty three Birds,
twenty six twenty three Birds.
Speaker 6 (01:11:11):
It's gonna be a very tight game, very very tight game.
Speaker 1 (01:11:16):
Game. You gotta Jakey to end it, Jake Kelly shaky
mische Elliott to end it. Oh that one.
Speaker 5 (01:11:25):
Look look look man, look man, we're getting to the
We're getting to the nitty gritty out here.
Speaker 6 (01:11:29):
Jake Jacob making the playoffs is getting ready.
Speaker 5 (01:11:31):
For the for January, you know holiday seasons. Here, Jake's
gonna Jason clutch. Here's a kick a field goal with
minute left, We're gonna win the game.
Speaker 1 (01:11:44):
Minute left give you're giving Josh a minute and we're
still winning that football game. Oh we we swayed you.
Speaker 5 (01:11:51):
No, Like the defenses, defenses there, I was more worried about,
like what what's the offense gonna do? And you know,
just looking like specifically playmakers that we have, and more
or less the weather if it was if it was
going to be a crappier day, might be the other way.
But no, not for nothing.
Speaker 6 (01:12:12):
Mac Collins is swaying me.
Speaker 5 (01:12:14):
A whole lot.
Speaker 6 (01:12:15):
So if he's still leaving there, he's now, oh he's
he really is a weirdo.
Speaker 5 (01:12:26):
Look, as long as James Cook doesn't go insane, I
think Beagles win this game.
Speaker 6 (01:12:33):
What was James have like two hundred dolls purpose?
Speaker 1 (01:12:37):
And I don't think he would. We've been a lot
better against the run because of our snubbed Pro Bowl.
Defensive tackle has been awesome this year, absolutely awesome.
Speaker 6 (01:12:50):
He's been so good, so good against the run.
Speaker 5 (01:12:52):
G's been really good as he came back Jalen Phillips
is a lot better than the run defense than I
thought he was going to be.
Speaker 6 (01:12:57):
So good for him as long as Kobe's there playing healthy.
Speaker 5 (01:13:01):
I think the Kobe, if if I can jump ahead here,
defendsive player of the game is in the Kobe game.
Speaker 6 (01:13:08):
He's gonna get two sacks against Josh Allen.
Speaker 1 (01:13:11):
Oh, like like Willis Reid coming out of the locker room,
all humble.
Speaker 5 (01:13:16):
Hobbled up hobb He's gonna have a couple of specialized
blitzes here in big situations, a couple of big sacks
because joonsh Allen does get sacked for somebody who's mobile,
he does get sacked to.
Speaker 1 (01:13:28):
Be That's what annoys me sometimes about Jayling too, because
Jail is the same way the first mobile as he
is and and and whatnot. He he right, he gets here,
he'll he'll get sacked and sometimes in some absolutely terrible
situations where you're like.
Speaker 6 (01:13:45):
Yeah, absolutely, uh.
Speaker 1 (01:13:50):
Yeah, it's so he's the he's the same way he Uh.
It annoys it annoys me at times, but he yeah,
you yea, I think he's gonna pull it out. I
got uh. Maybe it's being a homer, right, or maybe
maybe I'm trying to to keep the vibes going and
(01:14:11):
keep this football team rolling in the right direction. I got,
I get a decent margin of victory. I'm going I'm
going thirty to twenty.
Speaker 6 (01:14:21):
One, double digit win.
Speaker 2 (01:14:25):
I like it.
Speaker 1 (01:14:26):
I don't like it, but like I don't need it,
right like I was, we talked like Eagle the guys
on Eagles Talk on Monday, like Brinks was, I need
a double digit win. I need a belt to ask
win to to feel good about it. And then but
I'm not there. I just think that we're better. I
just need I don't even need to win. To be
honest with you, I'm just not gonna pick against them
(01:14:48):
right like you get doing. I think, Tom, I think
you said earlier, like a competitive game that you just
happen to lose. It's I'm good with it. We we
realistically are not playing for anything.
Speaker 2 (01:14:58):
I don't understand y why we need a double digit win.
Speaker 6 (01:15:01):
Like good, No, dude, we come back to break.
Speaker 1 (01:15:05):
We got to remember it's branch.
Speaker 2 (01:15:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:15:08):
Look we come back on the show next week and
the egos coming down the double just win in Buffalo.
I'm thinking the super Bowl, that's what that's what happened
next week, that's what gonna happen.
Speaker 1 (01:15:16):
Well, let's get crazy because I think it's happening, because
I just I.
Speaker 3 (01:15:20):
Don't, dude, they can win. They can they can win
twenty seven to twenty four. I'll pick them to win
the Super Bowl, Like I don't, you know, I don't
even that crazy. I mean, they go win twenty twenty
one seventeen. You know, you go up there and you
and you beat a damn good football team in their
building when they got more to play for than you
do at the moment, per se even you have to
play for seating still, so that's important. But they you know,
(01:15:43):
they're still playing for a division. Ye, so a little
bit more on the line, but again, similar stuff on
the line. But you go up there and you take
care of business and your winners are three in a
row and you're defending champs.
Speaker 2 (01:15:55):
How am I not picking you to go back? You
know it's or not. I was being a hater.
Speaker 3 (01:16:01):
I'm like, yeah, well they didn't look great. What watch football? Yeah,
we watched around the lager, you know what I mean.
I feel like I feel like a lot of these guys,
don't you know. Yeah, when you're talking about your your
your brainkies other world.
Speaker 2 (01:16:17):
Yeah, absolutely, I wonder if they do.
Speaker 1 (01:16:21):
Yeah, Greg, we could be playing for the two seed.
But it's just it's so very I think it's like
an eighteen percent chance. Chicago would have to lose twice, right,
Chicago have to lose twice, and then I think other
things have to happen, you know. No, I think it's well,
we got to win out too. And are we going
to rely against Washington, knowing how much they hate us,
(01:16:42):
knowing how dirty they already are. Are we going to
risk that week week eighteen or week seventeen eighteen, whatever
week we're in, Are we going to risk that just
for a two seed? Now? Look, if down to who's
the one seed?
Speaker 6 (01:16:56):
Maybe to me, we see, we'll see.
Speaker 5 (01:16:58):
I think I think you'll have a much better understanding
of this Sunday night, because if if.
Speaker 6 (01:17:03):
The Bears lose this week.
Speaker 1 (01:17:06):
All day for Sunday night, we might have to give
me a little carry, a little carry m hm.
Speaker 6 (01:17:14):
Yeah, Look the Bears lose this week, man, I think.
Speaker 1 (01:17:17):
Off that way right travel ahead A couple of too
many couple of Bruskies for me to throw that in there.
Speaker 5 (01:17:26):
Look, man, I was up at five a m. And
that helped a little bit. But we're struggling today. No love,
let me some carry Underwood likes love. They go on,
they go on forever, the best, the best.
Speaker 2 (01:17:45):
Yeah, twenty, let's stick with it. You're still game winning
pel goal.
Speaker 1 (01:17:52):
We got to Jaks. I like it.
Speaker 2 (01:17:54):
I like it, bro I have a response. You know
what I mean, Peah, people talking about Justin Tucker in
the massages, you know that's happened.
Speaker 1 (01:18:05):
I mean, we're not replacing them, right, We're rolling with him.
You might replace him next year, right, but for the
this year, you're rolling with him, and you're just gonna
You're just you're not bringing somebody in two weeks in
at the end of the year. You know, it just
doesn't happen.
Speaker 2 (01:18:22):
No, it does not. Justin.
Speaker 1 (01:18:27):
I laughed at the Justin Tucker. I laughed. I'm like,
come on, guys, there's so many big kickers in the league,
and all of a sudden, now we're clamoring for Justin
Tucker to come back.
Speaker 2 (01:18:38):
Yeah. Now, I'm going with Jake Elliot for the moment.
I could be very out on him very quickly. Obviously.
Speaker 3 (01:18:46):
You know, you go up there and you miss I
field goal for to win very you know, man man Houston,
we got we got a big time brown.
Speaker 5 (01:18:56):
Get give my, give my, got a little bit of confidence.
You know, it's a tough place to kick up in Buffalo.
Guy hits a couple of field goals this week, Jake,
to make you know again, like I said, going into
going into you know, playoff time. I mean, what's the
what was our record last year when Jake missus a kick?
Speaker 1 (01:19:13):
One?
Speaker 5 (01:19:16):
When missus kicks, so like, maybe we need to keep
him around because.
Speaker 1 (01:19:23):
Reverse psychology here exactly.
Speaker 6 (01:19:27):
Football is weird.
Speaker 2 (01:19:29):
It is weird. It is weird.
Speaker 1 (01:19:34):
Good ship, Uh, players a game. Let's get players in
the games, and then we'll get out of here. He went, went,
let's stay there. You gotta Kobe h went went, mhm,
I'll go, snub boy, I'll go snub boy. Give me,
give me j D, give me jd uh four tackles
(01:19:57):
U and a second and a half. I don't know
how JD is gonna gonna track down Josh Allen. But
my guy's on a mission, so he's gonna he's gonna
ball out this weekend.
Speaker 5 (01:20:09):
I think it's gonna be a big game from the
the d ends to be able to contain him, to
allow Jordan Davis to get in the back.
Speaker 2 (01:20:16):
Give me j x Hunt, give me two piece. Yeah, okay,
well I picked him last week. I don't remember what
he did, but he did well.
Speaker 1 (01:20:25):
He was around the football again.
Speaker 2 (01:20:27):
He's been playing really well, so let's take him again.
Speaker 1 (01:20:30):
He asked. He was my pick early in the year
for double digit shack and obviously we're not getting to
that number, but his production has gotten better.
Speaker 2 (01:20:39):
Well.
Speaker 3 (01:20:39):
People gave Josh Sweat the goddamn pressure rates for years here.
I mean, Josh Watt got sold and I like Josh,
but people made him out to be like, you know,
it was Miles Garret, like you know, is pressure rate?
You know, I love the pressure rate.
Speaker 2 (01:20:55):
Okay, get home sometimes and he's and he did.
Speaker 3 (01:20:59):
But my point is, like Jays right now, the young
guy is his pressure rates are up there.
Speaker 2 (01:21:05):
I just feel like he's around the quarterback a lot. Yeah,
so yeah, that's my guy. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:21:14):
Offensive offensive offensive.
Speaker 6 (01:21:19):
They got the Bill's got tors last week on the
ground by the Brown.
Speaker 1 (01:21:24):
He just torched the ground all the time.
Speaker 6 (01:21:27):
I gotta think Saquon, this might be a monster game
from Saquon.
Speaker 1 (01:21:30):
I think Jordan Player's out for them as well.
Speaker 6 (01:21:33):
Nice, okay, even better.
Speaker 5 (01:21:38):
Give me as going for a buck fifty and two
touchdowns this week? Buck fifty and two touchdowns massive, Saquon,
You're gonna see a burst touchdown this week. You're gonna
see one for like sixty plus yards. You're gonna see
one of those this week, calling him out.
Speaker 1 (01:21:56):
Joey Bosa didn't practice uh, and Kincaid didn't practice, Dulsin
Knox didn't practice. Uh, Jordan Ployer didn't practice. Matt Prater
didn't practice MHM. Shack Thompson, Kim Lewis, Tarn Johnson, and
Josh Allen were limited.
Speaker 6 (01:22:17):
So they're so they're banged up, banged up.
Speaker 1 (01:22:19):
They are banged up.
Speaker 2 (01:22:22):
Nice.
Speaker 1 (01:22:23):
I love like, uh, the the headlines around Josh Allen
playing like the Eagles fans like, oh Buffalo giving cold
and Eagles fans because Josh Allen's playing like, we want
Josh Allen to play. We don't want to go up
(01:22:43):
and beat beat Mitchell Trubisky. Who business, Matt, I don't
even know who it is.
Speaker 2 (01:22:52):
And why I want to play your bass? Bro?
Speaker 6 (01:22:55):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:22:56):
Person, like we just hit Christmas. Merry Christmas, everybody. Uh, buy,
I'll go find the tracker. I was on the track,
Is that Mitchell?
Speaker 1 (01:23:09):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:23:09):
Like list, We're defending Super Bowl mother fucking champions, So
whoever said like whoever is like begging for a backup. Okay,
you probably kissed your fucking sister on the lips, so
literally shut the fuck up.
Speaker 2 (01:23:26):
We all doing like knock it off? Yeah, correlation comes
together there. I'm just.
Speaker 1 (01:23:35):
Right.
Speaker 2 (01:23:37):
We're tired over here, you know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (01:23:40):
One day, one day, play the game? Brother?
Speaker 2 (01:23:44):
Yeah, I don't know. Uh, who'd you take? I know
you who?
Speaker 1 (01:23:51):
I didn't take it.
Speaker 2 (01:23:52):
I was giving you the next one you give me
because you didn't know one. Right now you feel one yet?
Speaker 1 (01:23:57):
No, I have an idea who I'm gonna go. But
I'm gonna let you go.
Speaker 2 (01:23:59):
No, No, I like you were saying, you know you
went before and I came in late. Don't let me.
I ain't here to hijack mount when I come in late.
But I'm lay, I you know, I mean, I'm third
federal or fourth fiddal.
Speaker 1 (01:24:11):
I'm going to a I'm going tooth boys. I'm going
two guys that are that are coming into I got
my twos, my twos out they're buns. They're buns on
the outside.
Speaker 2 (01:24:21):
M hm. Who did I take a last week?
Speaker 1 (01:24:31):
I think you too. That's what comes to mind, the
jail game.
Speaker 3 (01:24:41):
The jail game, I mean fifty on the ground, back
to that forty to fifty piece on the ground, throw
for throw for two to twenty all purpose being around
two seventy five. It's a good number. No pecks, no fumbles,
m hm. Three total touchdowns, three totals. Because I agree
(01:25:09):
with Ry, I can see a big Saquin game here too,
So absolutely.
Speaker 6 (01:25:15):
I want to get a little.
Speaker 2 (01:25:18):
Scoobs what Scoby snack.
Speaker 5 (01:25:21):
I want to get a little shout out to Fred Johnson, who,
uh you know, since he came in in that one
game after Lane went out and like solidified the second half.
I forget which game it was, to be honest with you,
but I think he's only allowed like one or two
quarterback pressures and no sacks since Lane's been missing time.
(01:25:41):
So really good from that guy to be able to
step on in and really again, like like I said earlier,
when with like cornerbacks and linebackers and like offensive linemen,
if I don't hear your name, you're playing awesome, So
really good out of Fred Johnson to be able to
step on in for a guy who's gonna be a
first ballot Hall of Famer.
Speaker 1 (01:26:01):
Good to him that, yeah, no doubt, and another underrated
probably move that people overlooked right there at the end
of the end of the preseason, right before the regular season,
to bring him back to help solidify that depth that
is so so much needed in the NFL over now
on eighteen game schedule. Anything six Ers related, Tommy, you
(01:26:30):
don't get anything off your chest six Ers related.
Speaker 3 (01:26:32):
No, that's just that's just the goddamn bad loss last night.
I'll sort of talk it up to what's.
Speaker 2 (01:26:37):
Going around, you know, in that locker room.
Speaker 3 (01:26:40):
Obviously flu is flying around the guys you know, missing
because of it, more guys last night. So I don't know,
I got issues they got, you know, I don't know.
They haven't played good together, the three of them same time.
So that's my big his concern.
Speaker 2 (01:27:02):
Really. I mean, that was Tyrese Maxie's worst game I
remember in a while.
Speaker 3 (01:27:07):
Because it was really only two mats because the freaking
the third one came with say like thirty seconds left,
no impact, no impact on the game pipe.
Speaker 2 (01:27:21):
So yeah, that's all I have on that they got that.
Speaker 6 (01:27:23):
Yeah, some similar for me. There bad games out of
Tyreese and PG last night.
Speaker 5 (01:27:32):
Uh, and being had a really good game though, for
what it's worth, he was eight of thirteen, so he
had a really good game.
Speaker 6 (01:27:37):
Again.
Speaker 5 (01:27:38):
We you know, hey, NBA season starts tomorrow, boys or today.
Actually NBA really starts.
Speaker 2 (01:27:43):
We're not we're not playing which which you know you
get a little.
Speaker 1 (01:27:47):
Prime action on on Friday. M hmm. Yeah again like
the Amazon Primemobile.
Speaker 2 (01:27:54):
Yeah, but it's a little hurtful. I mean, yeah, well
I prefer.
Speaker 1 (01:28:00):
Especially especially it turns out to be three Doug games
from the NFL, right, Washington with a with a third
string quarterback. We got three three string quarterbacks going in
each of the games.
Speaker 3 (01:28:12):
I don't think there's any playoff implications going on to
morrow whatsoever.
Speaker 1 (01:28:16):
Not the way the seasons turned out, I don't think.
Speaker 2 (01:28:18):
I'm sure the.
Speaker 1 (01:28:19):
NFL thought there was going to be.
Speaker 6 (01:28:22):
The same reason they put the matchups.
Speaker 1 (01:28:25):
At the end of the year.
Speaker 5 (01:28:26):
Yeah, Samas and Eagles, but they put the Eagles against
Washington to the last three three games of the season, like, oh,
he's gonna be a big games end of the year.
Speaker 1 (01:28:37):
Rice I missed that RACEI rice got police on I R.
Speaker 6 (01:28:41):
Yeah he got hurt.
Speaker 1 (01:28:44):
I know we got hurt and realized it was I R.
But I guess with two games.
Speaker 5 (01:28:48):
Left, another guy who charged me in my fantasy sent me.
Speaker 1 (01:28:51):
But either way, whatever, Dallas, Washington, Detroit, Mennesota, and Denver
Denver case. I wonder if those numbers will out do
the the n b A numbers on their.
Speaker 5 (01:29:08):
Day all those games. Maybe maybe, But like all those games, that's.
Speaker 1 (01:29:18):
Like put them on and just that's just a background noise,
you know what I mean.
Speaker 6 (01:29:23):
Not like that.
Speaker 5 (01:29:24):
That's what the NBA was in my house growing up,
Like the NBA is on. Yeah, I won't talk to
my aunt right Now'm gonna sit in front the TV
for a little bit.
Speaker 1 (01:29:35):
Cleveland, New York. That's kick it off. You got Spurs, okay,
see that should be a good game. Dallas, Golden State, Houston,
l A and the then late game Minnesota Denver.
Speaker 6 (01:29:49):
Sleep Games Spurs being okay see twice Spurs Spurs.
Speaker 3 (01:29:57):
Okay, see is awesome. I had to thirty like I'll
be in the car, but yeah, that's probably the best one.
Speaker 1 (01:30:05):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:30:05):
I like them for Minnesota wrapped my night off. You
know that's gonna be a good one.
Speaker 6 (01:30:11):
Yeah, my dad, Oh what up?
Speaker 1 (01:30:16):
