Speaker 1 (00:03):
Everybody's got a price for the million dollar man. Oh
who's that kid? Nick uh?
Speaker 2 (00:11):
He looks like Beaker from Muppets, the one on f
F one Nick Wright. Yeah, yeah, I got something amazing.
I did not even I love I love that. If
I get five and they're all in the same room
with me, we're going at it at one hundred and tenth.
(00:40):
Welcome in, everybody. It's a lazy booking podcast on a

John Sena's final SmackDown appearance, and other highlights from Raw
and SmackDown. And happy to be joined again by my
(01:02):
co host Eric the Archer. Archer, what's up? Brother?
Speaker 1 (01:06):
What's going on?
Speaker 3 (01:07):
Chrome Hope all as well? Yes, another another week where
we don't have anything to.
Speaker 1 (01:13):
Talk about, so let's get going.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
Yeah, absolutely nothing. It's another week where we just kind
of sit here and twitter our thumbs. Now lots to
talk about, really exciting week. We're gonna cram it in
the next forty five ish minutes or so. But we
got to show some love to our show sponsor and

Physical Therapy dot com. As we said at the top here,
Eric aj Lee returns to wwee highly anticipated, much asked
for over the years, and it's finally here. So with that,
our opening topic is I agree to disagree wwtsing aj
(02:21):
Lee's return after ten years was a smart booking decision.
Agree or disagree. Anybody who's watching a slive on x slash, Twitter, Facebook,
or YouTube, please chime in, like, subscribe, follow, share this
video and we want to hear your comments today on
what turned out to be I think one of the
(02:42):
biggest returns we've seen in a long time, even with
it being in Chicago, and we know that that's a
favorable crap dive in here for me, buddy, kick us off.
You know, there's been a lot of conversation, you know,
to ww miss an opportunity to surprise here. We know
they can do it. They did it with Brock. They've
(03:03):
been they've been able to do a lot of that
stuff actually lately, and in a time where it seems
like it's it's very difficult to you know, tie up
the loose ends and make sure that nobody's whispering in
the ears of the dirt sheets. But what do you think,
you're eric? Was this smart? Did they kind of tease
the obvious and gave us the obvious?
Speaker 3 (03:25):
I'll tell you what, And I'm really glad she's she's back.
She was definitely a favorite of mine. Those that are
not familiar, you know, she multiple times Divas Champion and
the h the wife of of CM punk Uh and
she did a lot during her h During her short
(03:46):
tenure with the w w E, she was a multi
time Divas Champion. She was the general manager of Raw
At one point she had a nice little storyline love
triangle with with punk Ironically enough, seeing a alf Ziggler,
a lot of those guys, Daniel Bryan, there was a
wedding there was a lot of a lot of a
lot of good highlights.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
And I think, what was it how many seconds that
he lost the title WrestleMania twenty eight?
Speaker 1 (04:11):
Was it eight seconds? Something like that?
Speaker 3 (04:13):
Nine seconds? Kisses are on the apron in the opening match,
and Uh gets a nice sweet bro kick to the
to the to the kiss er for the for the
one two three. So yeah, definitely had an impact. And
I will say, uh, you know, to answer the question,
(04:35):
I agree that it was smart, and I think it
was kind of like one of those obvious things that
was gonna happen anyway, so why not just you know,
go into it.
Speaker 1 (04:44):
You know, I saw some uh some people saying, oh, well.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
I don't know if you saw this, but uh w
W Shop, I guess UH teased it where someone was
looking for a j Lee swag to to wear to
uh to wear to the show in Chicago, and somebody's like, oh,
well we we someone from w W Shop said we
plan to have that soon for aj Lee and named
her specifically. So you know, right there, you're you know,
(05:11):
the cats out of the bag. But I mean, if
you're following along the story, you kind of knew this
was going to happen.
Speaker 1 (05:17):
It's it's.
Speaker 3 (05:20):
It's kind of you know, the husband and wife duo
of Seth Rollins and and Becky Lynch, and I know
they were teasing a little bit of Rhea Ripley and uh,
you know others. I don't think there might have been
any Bailey as another potential person, but you know, I
think this was something that was that was obvious, but
(05:42):
in a good way where there was a lot of anticipation.
I think them teasing it got a lot more eyeballs
on Friday night. So for those that aren't watching the
product and know who she is from watching it back
ten years ago, it got them the watch. And clearly
it worked because not only did they watch on SmackDown,
(06:04):
but if you look at YouTube, there was I think
one of the one of them had almost had over
four million views of her return. So it clearly worked.
And I think in this this instance it was it
was smart to get more eyeballs on it because you
kind of knew if you were following along, I mean,
(06:24):
it wouldn't make sense for somebody else to come back,
because it's they're not the real life spouse of of cmpunk,
So it had to make sense and it was. It
was obvious what was going to happen, but I think
it was. It was executed perfectly and uh and they
did a really nice job. And to your point about
Chicago Milwaukee last night, huge pop for aj Lee once
(06:47):
again and that segment, so clearly it worked and people
are are ready for the ride they're going on on
this this story too. To culminate it at Russell Palooza,
you're all mute there, you.
Speaker 2 (07:05):
Go being anticipatory in Casey's little rug rats around here
and start parking. Yeah, full disclosure, we actually didn't think
we were going to get a show in this week
and some scheduling things, unfortunately, our hockey guys are not
able to go on tonight. So if any of you
guys are sitting back and waiting for the Hockey Show tonight,
(07:27):
FYI buyerstock k TWOD is not on programming alert for
a two D radio, but they will be back I
believe next week their regular scheduled time. So it did
open up for us to push back to late start
time and you're able to get a show it so
and thank god, what a week. But anyway, yes, I
agree to the poll question wholeheartedly. We talked about, you know,
(07:49):
it is an era where it's really hard to create surprises.
I think in this instance it actually benefited them to
do the teas because when CM Punk joined AW a
few years ago, that immediately lit the fire of you know,
the speculation and the rumors of it's only a matter
(08:10):
of time until AJ shows up, right, So I think
at that point you could kind of see that the
anticipation was kind of there and obviously flat fast forwards
too years later and you see how Punk's return here
in WW has gone over right. And I think him
(08:31):
being there and having the ability to rebuild his relationship
with the company and not only rebuild the relationship but
really honestly become one of the true leaders there for
the next generation that's upcoming. I just think it's just
such a really great opportunity. So with her coming in now, yes,
(08:51):
is it was it something we kind of saw coming, uh,
just with especially particularly with a clash in Paris when
Becky hit hit him with the low blow and then
obviously we see her and him face to face on
raw last week, of course, Yes, but the moment that started,
(09:14):
you could just you could feel an energy building up
on social media and you knew that this was hook
line and Sinker, and you know, the whole thing with
somebody tweeting WWE shop and and their replies and and
again them knowing. I just think, you know, people forget too.
(09:39):
She hasn't completely been away from professional wrestling. She's been
involved in well. I think she she did commentary. She
she may have even been a part owner. She may
still be. I'm not one hundred percent sure.
Speaker 3 (09:53):
Yeah, I think I think she had some involvement of
some kind, like an ownership or investment or or something.
Speaker 1 (10:00):
Out that year.
Speaker 2 (10:02):
Yeah, so she was, you know, she was an important
role with with Wild Women Are Wrestling and for anybody
who watched Heels on Stars, which is now you can
stream on Netflix, she was a big part of season two.
So I just think that the anticipation was there. And
(10:24):
a lot of times we feel like we want something
and they tease it to us and then we don't
get it and the internet goes ballistic, right, whether it's
a swerve where it's a letdown, to have one of
those instances where you actually you get the payoff to
(10:44):
you know, the teas and the build that's been going on,
and honestly, Becky has been so freaking good on the
MIC as of late. I mean I have been very
vocal that I have not always been a fan of
Heel Becky. At times I felt like it was forced, Uh,
(11:04):
particularly the the last run of was It Big Time Becks,
It just got real weird to me. It became, you know,
she dressed like female sets with like the Goofy like
it was almost like the U like the power line
sunglasses from Goofy movie and stuff. Yeah, just got a
(11:25):
little bit off for me. It felt very forced, uh,
in this instance, particularly with how Set's character is going
and how that entire faction for for lack of better,
you know, for all types of purposes. As really she's
just seamlessly kind of transitioned into this, and to not
(11:48):
go back to the well and have the Rhea Ripley's
and the EO Skies and whoever else you want to
throw in there, the Baileys, and to have the payoff
that we wanted the and it's it's it's believable. It's
husband and wife versus husband and wife. This isn't the
Miss and Marie versus John Cena and Nikki Bella, Like
(12:10):
this is two married couples that are very well in
the public eye and have an established relationship, that the
heat and the tension is so believable. And we talk
about this, Eric, this program is going to WrestleMania. So
(12:32):
this really does buy you, give or take a month
of programming to get you to that point, right, you know,
before we hit the Survivors series stride. So I'm very
excited to see where this goes. She also has signed
a some sort of a contract. We don't we don't
(12:55):
know the details.
Speaker 3 (12:57):
The reports are that it is a that it is
a multi deal, which you think about, like, who would
have saw that coming even a few years ago, especially
with him being an aw who would have saw, you know,
in twenty twenty five looking at like twenty twenty three
(13:17):
lenses that you would see not just seeing punk Pack,
but but a j Lee as well. And I want
to talk about Becky real quick. You brought up you
know how great her uh her heel stuff has been recently.
I mean if you just look at the way she
it was kind of just like old school chicken shit
(13:37):
heel stuff, which was awesome, like yelling at the audience
and just her her her mannerisms in the ring and
her eyes and like just like that chicken shit stuff
that is just like so classic in nature that you know,
it's it's a lost art that, uh, that a lot
(13:59):
of the talent don't have. And I think, uh and
she's done a really good job of of egging on
the crowd.
Speaker 1 (14:05):
You know, the everybody's.
Speaker 3 (14:06):
Talking about it. Even Sports Illustrated's talking about it. It's
like she's really digging in the yes. Yeah, and she
makes a point of it, and it I think it's
more annoying every time. But it's it's that heel annoying.
It's it's it's perfect heat. And I mean she got
booed out of the building last night. It was it
(14:28):
was great. And she's done such a nice job because
aj Lee's back, Yeah, the big babyface. But you have
to have that heel dance partner to work with and
for it to make uh make it watchable and to
make it, uh make it appealing to uh to the fans.
So uh, yeah, I'm really looking forward to seeing seeing
(14:49):
that match at Russell Palooza. I'm sure aj Lee, I mean,
she looks like she did in twenty in twenty fifteen,
she had Yeah, she has an aged a bit, and
I'm sure she I mean, clearly she stayed in in
shape of one way shape or form. But you know
that's one thing, staying in shape. But that wrestling shape.
(15:09):
We'll see, we'll see how it goes with this first match,
but I'm sure it won't take long for her to
uh to get back, uh to get back those wrestling
get back in those Chuck Taylors I would say, And
it's uh, it's gonna be it's gonna be really fun.
And to your point as well, it's somebody different at
the top. It's a different match. And again, that Intercontinental
title means much more than the women's world title. You
(15:32):
can talk about we can, but we can talk about
that if we have time. But you know how I
feel about that stuff. But uh, but I mean it's
been it's been fantastic work by by Becky and uh
and and I'm excited to see what happens.
Speaker 2 (15:47):
Yeah, I agree, Uh, I mean, obviously the Intercontinental title
in Becky is something that's been really tremendous to see.
Building the secondary title. I'd like to see them do
a little better job with the US title. Chelsea Green,
I thought was doing a tremendous job. Yeah, but again
to see the work that she's doing with the Inner
(16:07):
Continental title and to work with somebody like you know,
Elyra Valkyria, who I have been a big support of.
I think Lyra has so much talent the personality needed
to be there. And I'm intrigued. You know, I'm not
going to get sidetracked on this. You're starting to see
something now where there. I'm curious. Now, I'm interested in
(16:28):
what is happening with her and Bailey and what is
going to be with this character coming up of dissideration.
But that's a lot of that is Becky, right, you
know Becky. They did this, We talked about this, Eric,
they did this, what they did at WrestleMania with Becky
a few years ago where she comes back, ends up
(16:50):
basically stealing the title from Becky from Bianca Belair because
no time to prepare, she shocked Becky's back, and then
like a day later, she turns here, Well, we saw
the same thing here. She makes this huge return, she
comes back at WrestleMania, teams with Lyra and then we
say so it's almost like I was not a fan
of that, so I felt like they were like, Okay,
(17:13):
I think we know how we can redo this, hit
the reset button on this, but really, particularly with where
set is at right now, really throw some gasoline on
this and do it the right way and get a reprieve.
So I just think it's very exciting, Brian Daily. Appreciate
the comments coming in. I see Ernie Charles over on
(17:33):
X he gave us a repost to the stream. Appreciate
your brother Ran Dally. Appreciate Brian Dally. He said, what's
up to us? And he says, gonnagree to the poll
even if it's not a long term deal again Brian,
which it is. We don't know if it's a limited
date deal. I imagine it will be, but we don't
have the full details, but it is multi year. We
do know that she could be with helping the womens,
(17:54):
especially the younger town, getting even better than they are,
that is speaking, so I went go ahead.
Speaker 1 (18:01):
Oh got sorry.
Speaker 3 (18:02):
Now speaking of the younger talent, I mean there's definitely opportunity.
I mean, there's there's already built in stories that they
can do with Roxanne Perez for example. Who I mean,
there's pictures floating on social media of Roxanne meeting her
ten twelve years ago, and now it can come full
circle to where they could team up together. I mean
(18:24):
Live Morgan's coming back at some point, so there could
be something where she comes back to Judgment Day, Roxanne
gets the boot and then I need a partner against
Raquel and Live. You got a tag team match right there.
That would be uh, that would be great.
Speaker 2 (18:38):
No no, no, no, no no. You watched that Next Team.
You saw the promo that she cut on Punk where
she talked about how he was one of her idols
or heroes he met her, and then she basically said like,
never meet your idols. He sucks this and that. So
what you what you do here is your turn Live
(18:59):
Face and you have Live come in and have her
recruit AJ to be your tag team partner to go
against and then obviously then you can play off of
that too. Yeah. And Rock Sanne is tremendous. Yeah, she
has not even scratched the surface on the main roster yet.
(19:21):
Her promo skills are so good and what she could do,
because she did it quite a bit in n XT
to bring a similar vibe as that and talk about
how we know we met and you were one of
my idols. But then you were a diva and I'm
a woman. I'm a woman, and I've been a woman's champion.
You were just a divas champion and I've done more
(19:43):
than you, and blah blah blah. You know, you do
stuff like that. But what is exciting about this is
there was good talent at that time when she was
with the company ten years ago. You had Paige, you
had some of the other the Bellas, you had some
really decent You get some decent talent at that point.
(20:05):
But what is exciting is this was still the diva's era.
She missed it by literally like a year or two,
And everybody said, can you imagine if she's stuck it
out for another year or two the matches she could
have had with Charlotte, Becky Bailey, Sasha who's not with
the company anymore, but Sasha was thrown in that conversation.
Can you imagine the matches you would have now along
(20:29):
with her? They are all basically the leaders of this
with a incredible roster of females, And we talk about
all the time. Listen, I think the TNA for many
years had an amazing knockouts division. They still do They've
always been one of the standards of pro wrestling, and
(20:51):
they've never been talked about because their distribution just hasn't
been there. But I find it so hard now when
you look at that w W like I like Tony Storm.
I think Mercedes can be tremendous over character, but she
can be tremendous especially in the ring. Dude, the worst
(21:12):
woman on ww's roster would be should be a world
champion in every other company, And it's not even a question.
Speaker 3 (21:20):
Yeah, And I think you're starting to see in AW,
you know, just the real quick is the challengers are
starting to become, you know, far few and far between,
you know, kind of they've kind of gone through most
of the divisions, so it's kind of tough to see
who these challengers are going to be coming up. But WW,
there's really not a not a problem there. And another thing,
(21:42):
real quick, I saw an interview with Natty a couple
of days ago talking about what AJ did for for
the women's locker room while she was there. She was
one of the ones that spoke up when you know,
the e that were watching in twenty twelve, twenty ten,
(22:03):
twenty twelve three minute matches matches right you entrance the bell, Yeah, yup,
including getting to the ring, you know, ding ding, gotta
gotta get our stuff in and then that's it. So
she was one of the ones that spoke up, hey,
like we need more time, Like give us some more time,
and it wounds up getting to the point where you
(22:24):
know where we're at right now. So she credited AJ
if if she wasn't one of the vocal ones at
the time, because Naty said she wasn't. She was too
scared for spot, she admittedly, so she was, you know,
timid and didn't want to say anything, but AJ was like,
you know what I'm gonna I'm gonna say something because
I think it's gonna be for the betterment. Maybe not
(22:45):
for me, maybe so, but also for for the rest
of the talent. And clearly, you know, the women are
getting just as much, if not more, of of the
TV time on on both Raw and SmackDown n NXT.
So clearly, uh, clearly it had to start somewhere and
uh and Natty was quick to credit A J for
(23:06):
uh for being a part of that foundation.
Speaker 2 (23:09):
Yeah, I think that's a great point. Again, you know,
she was in an era where you know, you had
the Eve torres Is and you had really good talent
and I you know, Naddy and Beth Phoenix was involved
at that time. There was a good roster. Yeah, but
(23:30):
it's never been at the level that it is now.
Speaker 1 (23:33):
No, definitely not.
Speaker 2 (23:34):
And it's been said about her. I'm glad that Mickey
got a chance a couple of times to come back
and kind of get in there with with some of
the younger talent. And I think this is an opportunity
for her. You know, it's hard to say I would
consider her already a borderline Hall of Famer for w
(23:54):
w A. But this is like, this is like the
rebirth right. This is like Brock when he was young
and then he goes away for ten years and then
he comes back. I think he left him what twenty
or two thousand and four after WrestleMania twenty and then
in twenty and twelve, eight years later, he's an older guy,
(24:17):
he comes back and had a rebirth of his career.
And I think that this is an opportunity for her
to cement her legacy and prove And I don't think
there's many doubters out there, but there is some that
I have seen. It's an opportunity for her to come
(24:38):
in and prove that she wasn't a big fish in
a small pond at that time. She could have gotten
in there with anybody then, and she can get in
there with anybody now. And again to what you said,
you know, she is in tremendous shape. She is very
involved in fitness, and you already know anytime any of
(25:01):
these people come back, Eric, there's a program to get
them ready to rock and roll. Yeah, and I'm sure
she's been she has going through it. I like what
Brian said here too, By the way, that would be
a good storyline, especially since he believes Live and AJ
have some of the same mannerisms and ways, particularly early
Live where where she would do kind of the skip
(25:23):
around in certain things. So yeah, no, I mean it
would be It definitely would be a cool storyline. Yeah. Yeah,
I'm gonna be very interested to see how this goes. So, well,
let's let's go a little further into that portion of this, Eric,
(25:44):
You know, we know what we have coming. We have
a tag team match. Very excited for this, and I
love that as much of this punkin and set storyline
has been at the forefront of the company for the
last year and a half, almost two years. These two
women are almost the headliner of this whole thing, and
(26:05):
those guys are the supporting cast of this. And I'm
loving that they're taking that approach where you can advance
them the storyline between Seth and Punk, but you don't
have to have it where it's you know, fatigue of
jamming it down our throats, like you can let them
kind of. It's almost like they were the two guys
(26:25):
that like kind of drop the the dynamite in lit
the fuse and then kind of step back and let
it all but the fireworks go. But anyway, yeah, looking forward,
what programs are we excited to see? You know who,
who do you think is an ideal and we're gonna
(26:48):
go aside from Becky, who do you look at? Give
me like two people who you look at that could
be ideal opponents or dream opponents. Let's do that. Give
me an ideal opponent and give me someone who you
kind of look at that like it would kind of
be a dream match to see, you know, her and
AJ go up against each other.
Speaker 3 (27:11):
The Live Morgan one is very intriguing what Brian was saying,
because I think they can both they both capture the
audience in a way that's you know, unique to some
of the talent that's currently there. I think that's really hard.
(27:32):
Charlotte Flair would be would be very interesting. I heal
Charlotte Flair. I mean, Alexa Bliss would be a good one.
Speaker 2 (27:41):
You could.
Speaker 1 (27:41):
I mean, there's just there's a lot. There's a lot
of them.
Speaker 2 (27:44):
See I'm hesitant on the Charlotte one, not that I
don't think the matches would be tremendous A I would
want to see her get a little bit under her
belt first, because I want to see Aja at peak
comfort in the ring when she's ready for that to
get the maximum love what but be I don't want
to see heal Charlotte right now. I'm loving Face Charlotte.
Although we haven't seen them on television as much lately,
(28:07):
obviously they're focused on Wressell Blues and getting those programs over.
So I expect that we're going to see more of
those women coming up. But I just don't want to
go back that route. Eric, we'reoove being so happy. I
don't know if it's where we've gotten tote.
Speaker 1 (28:24):
Yeah I did, but you might. You don't have to
go to that.
Speaker 3 (28:28):
I mean, you're not kind of be the way that
she is right now where you know she's uh, she's
got the same you know, same mannerisms and you know
is working as a as a face. I mean you
can you could eventually. I'm sure you're gonna turn aj
heeal down the road. I mean, there's so many matches
that you can do though, Like that's I think that's
(28:49):
the point is there's really so much that you can do.
But I mean, clearly, I think she's gonna want to
go in there with some of the one some of
the like the the for the horse women, you know,
the ones that are that are here are probably the
ones that she's gonna want to work with. I mean,
it's she's been watching for the last ten years, and
(29:10):
probably part of her has been like, ah, what could
have could it be?
Speaker 1 (29:14):
What? What could have been?
Speaker 3 (29:15):
I mean you heard her promo, if you know last night,
she never thought she was going to come back. She
thought she did everything that she possibly could during her
tenure that her you know, she she did everything and
and every and her goals were achieved and she was done.
Now she's got a clean slate, like you said, And
now she's looking back over probably these last ten years
(29:38):
where this women's division has evolved. I mean, they had
the DEVAS title when she was there. Now they've got
the world title, they've got the w W Women's title,
they got Intercontinental US, like NXT has evolved.
Speaker 1 (29:52):
There's so many.
Speaker 3 (29:53):
Different things that she can do that she hasn't done yet.
So it's it's an opportunity for her to get in
the ring with some of these big names. I mean,
do I I think if anybody can pull it off,
it would be Charlotte and a J. They'd figure it
out one way or the other. They're they're both pros,
So I think, you know, do do I think like
(30:14):
I said, there's there's there's a lot of different ways
that you could go. There's a lot of different matchups,
and that's what's so great about it.
Speaker 2 (30:23):
If I'm going size uh and I'm just looking at
size athletic ability, who I think is somebody very different
than we've ever seen AJ get in the ring with,
and I think would be a challenge. She would rise
to the occasion clearly be be fad no no. If
(30:52):
I like, if I'm I would I would love to
see her in EO. I think, you know, at that
time when AJ was involved with w w WEE, you
didn't really have a lot of the high flyers on
the women's side. And to see EO in the way
(31:14):
she works and puts on absolute classics with anybody of
any size, of any athletic ability, I just think about
if we can get to a point in the next
six months to get to a semi close to what
(31:36):
peak AJ was. You know again, we know there's ten
years removed. My lord, that's my dream, and I think
ideal matches. I would I would die for a program
with EO Sky and really see what kind of highlighting
AJ could do with a talent like that.
Speaker 3 (31:58):
I don't think there's bad matchups any too much on
the card. I mean, besides, I think she'd get a
match out of BEFAB too. To be perfectly honest with you,
I don't think I agree. I agree, Yeah, peak peak
peak aj Lee. I think will it will be And
I think she's still still young enough to to go.
(32:19):
She's she wouldn't be coming back if she didn't think
that she could do it. Clear I clear clearly she
thought that she did everything she could she could accomplish
and now there's another opportunity, and she doesn't want to
tarnish that by coming back and and being you know,
half of what she was.
Speaker 1 (32:39):
She she wouldn't.
Speaker 3 (32:40):
I don't think she would uh even consider coming back
if she didn't think that she could be better, if just.
Speaker 1 (32:47):
Just as much, if not better than what she was.
Speaker 2 (32:51):
Yeah, I think that's my top two. Live is the
third Charlotte Eventually, Listen, we all know we want to
see that that we want to see Charlotte, Beckett, Becky
and Bailey. It just it was just such a close
cut off at that point. And and and all of
their own ways they innovated what women's wrestling is now
(33:14):
where they're not just women superstars, they are there superstars
of their own right. They're all pioneers. And that to
me is is an obvious So why I don't say, Shart,
I'm telling you give me EO, give me Rock Sande too,
and then give me live. That's a hell of a
(33:34):
way to start. That would be a hell of a
way to start, even Kyrie, like, if you want to
get a roll out, yeah, Oscars, bring up Oscar Yeah,
Oh I mean ask right now? Is I don't know
what that is I don't even get I am, and
you know I am the biggest Oscar Faniel find. I
(33:57):
don't know, it's weird she's not allowed to have of
friends that aren't I don't know any wanna go down
that road. That's how that's how the story portrays. I
don't know if that's the intention, but it's coming off
that way anyway. Yeah, this is just a really exciting
and the promo on on Raw obviously we talked about
it really really good. Love the honesty, you know, it
(34:20):
was like a working shoot. Yeah, and for people to
know this is coming. And I gotta tell you, I
ran it back multiple times to watch the crowd reaction
the moment that music hits it not it up, not
(34:42):
it up. I mean they became on glued like. I
don't think it was quite as loud because it's a
smaller venue, but I felt like it was reminiscent to
when the Hardys came back at WrestleMania thirty three, and
that's one of the you know, between that and when
(35:02):
Austin's glass hit during the Mankind victory over the Rock overall,
probably the three biggest pops I've ever seen. Uh, this
is up there. Man, it's pretty big.
Speaker 1 (35:14):
It was. It was.
Speaker 3 (35:16):
I wouldn't put it, I wouldn't put it that that high,
but it was.
Speaker 1 (35:20):
It was good.
Speaker 3 (35:21):
It was a very go back and watch very solid
I'm talking about I'm sorry, very sorry, very chilid, very solid.
Speaker 1 (35:30):
Uh yeah, reaction.
Speaker 2 (35:32):
If you go back and watch that crowd, I mean,
everybody in Unison just blows up out of their scenes.
It was wild. I'm telling you, watch it a few times.
Speaker 3 (35:42):
Imagine if that was in uh, overseas. I think it
probably threw the roof off the police. Yeah, if they
did it, if they did it in Paris the night
after the night after clashing Paris, but I think, but
I but I mean, it made sense to do it.
Speaker 2 (35:57):
In Chicago, of course, but of course absolute yeah, you know,
So moving on, obviously, we know what we're gonna be getting.
We'll be previewing Wrestle Palooza and all out next week,
so make sure you guys tune in. We'll be around
our regular scheduled time of sometime between six and six
thirty next Tuesday, so make sure you guys come back
(36:18):
and join us for that. John Cena's final SmackDown appearance
get a really good match with Sammy's aim, love the
tie ins, love the legacy of Sammy wanting to carry
over the US Title Open Challenge and having that impromptu match,
(36:40):
right because you know, we talked about the names of
people that John Cena didn't get to have a match
that at this iteration we would like to have seen
and and I don't know that Sammy was necessarily on
my list, but I'm glad I got it now, you know.
I know we didn't get a yeah, and I'm okay
with that at this point because we know where we're heading.
But just to see again, I don't know if it's
(37:04):
like one of those things where you know, Eric that
like you're on your last legs, so you're gonna give
it all that you got and you just elevate yourself
to a level that you don't that you haven't been
able to get to in years for that last push.
It's like Toby Key said, right, I'm not as I'm
(37:26):
not as good as I once was, but I'm as
good once as I ever was. It's like we're getting
the best of Scena in the back and in ring
on the back end of this, and he's hanging with
some amazing talent. He looks tremendous. Air's really growing in
well too, by the way, but you know, just so
(37:48):
your thoughts on it. And obviously we get the brack
attack at the end of this to to set up
Wressell Plouza. We knew it was coming, but just what
your thoughts on it. You know, this this change with Sammy,
the impromptu match, the level he's at this and that,
you know, give me your thoughts on all that.
Speaker 1 (38:09):
I have to agree.
Speaker 3 (38:10):
Definitely, Uh, definitely was a was a really good, uh,
really good segment and a nice little tie into you know,
uh their match uh ten years ago I think it
was you it was up ten years ago or so.
Speaker 2 (38:25):
Uh, this isn't this the same match that Sammy was
so pumped he threw his arms up and towards Rotator.
Speaker 3 (38:31):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's exactly right. And Brett Hart was
the one who announced him in the like he was
the one who announced sam He's in to the ring,
which was which was really cool. But again I like
his homage in the matches and doing uh what he
did the ankle lock. He did an angle slam. Uh,
(38:53):
so I think he's taking everything out of the tank
it's like, uh, it's like Rocky Balboa. Uh where he's
got He's got something left inside. He's got to get
it out. He's he's just he's getting it, getting everything out, uh,
in his last few months and he's uh, he's delivered.
This is the the third match now, uh, the last
(39:14):
three that he's uh, he's really done well. I will say,
I'm a I'm a bit curious how the match with
Brock's gonna go. And then I don't think it's gonna
it's due to Sina.
Speaker 1 (39:29):
I think.
Speaker 3 (39:30):
I mean, Brock hasn't been it hasn't been in a match,
uh since Cody at uh.
Speaker 1 (39:36):
At SummerSlam a few years ago.
Speaker 3 (39:40):
And I'm sure he's been hunting and fishing and uh
and being a butcher and all that all that stuff.
So I mean, if anybody could do it's probably him.
He's just a freakish athlete. But I'm I'm hopeful that
this match is gonna deliver just as well as these
other ones. But I'm cautiously optimistic because and I'm thinking
(40:04):
this is probably gonna be like a slug fest, you know,
kind of similar to their match and extreme rules.
Speaker 2 (40:10):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (40:12):
When when Brock returns.
Speaker 3 (40:13):
So if they can do it that way, I think
it'll be it'll be good. But I wouldn't, you know,
I'm cautiously optimistic. I'm hopeful the match will be good,
but because you know, there's so much momentum and such
such good work by Sina over the last few matches
that I'd hate to see it kind of, you know,
take a step back, and not because of him, but
(40:35):
because of his because of who he's in the ring
with and who the story who, yeah, who's who he's
in there with.
Speaker 2 (40:42):
I think it's gonna be It's not gonna be the
the Matt classics that we've seen. This is gonna you know,
we're seeing all phases of John Cena at this point.
So I think this is this is gonna be a knockdown,
drag out role, plain and simple. Am I wrong? Didn't
(41:05):
didn't he do one of Christopher Daniels moves?
Speaker 1 (41:10):
He did?
Speaker 3 (41:13):
He did like a wing danger, he did something. He
did something to that effect.
Speaker 2 (41:17):
Which again I don't know. So so again we're talking
about all these really cool things that we're seeing. We
see him, you know, we're seeing him do Canadian Destroyers
and everything else. So the thing is like a lot
of people don't know this, and again it's why I'm
as this is where it's it's good to be a
like really deep wrestling fan. It's Christopher Daniels is one
(41:41):
of John Cena's earliest trainers.
Speaker 1 (41:44):
Yeah, so.
Speaker 2 (41:47):
It is. It was one hundred percent Like a lot
of people are like, oh man, cool move, but it is.
It's an easter egg of John paying homage to some
of the people that got him to where he is.
So yeah, I mean, watch, you got to really pay
attention to a lot of this stuff. But I agree.
I think the match is going to be what it's
going to be. All rock matches are that way, and
(42:12):
I don't expect this to be anything and I'm okay
with that. Let this be a brawl and let these
guys destroy each other. And I'm I guess I'm one
hundred percent for that.
Speaker 3 (42:25):
Another nitpicky thing that I'm a little uh, you know,
they'll bother me about this whole thing is why is
he back and why is he attacking Sena? Is he
like like and hopefully we hear from Brock. I think
we heard one little thing online where's like I'll see it.
Russell Palooza and that was really it. But we haven't
(42:45):
we haven't gotten the why did you attack Sena?
Speaker 1 (42:49):
What? What?
Speaker 3 (42:50):
What are you trying to do? I mean, clearly he's
probably trying to be a detour on this retirement tour,
But you know, I think it would be good to
hear it from the person himself, unless w w E
is leary to put him out on a promo and
having him explain himself, uh, you know and get a
(43:13):
which is which is definitely possible, but I think, you know,
for me to get fully, I mean, clearly it's gonna
be a it's it's a it's a good match, of course,
But why am I? Why is Brock?
Speaker 1 (43:29):
What?
Speaker 3 (43:29):
What are his intentions in story? I mean, you and
I you know, of course, we we kind of know
because we've we've been watching him and we're wrestling nerds.
But you know, for the for the casual fan, why
did he attack John Cena?
Speaker 1 (43:43):
Why is he?
Speaker 2 (43:43):
Why?
Speaker 3 (43:44):
Why is he doing this? Why do he come back?
And is gonna you know derail John Cena?
Speaker 1 (43:50):
You know, no explanation.
Speaker 3 (43:52):
So I think maybe we hear from him on roll
next year. I think Seena is advertised on role. Maybe
we don't maybe we don't hear from him. But he's
one of those things where it's like, you know, maybe
they think it's writing itself.
Speaker 2 (44:05):
But maybe he's Maybe he's Rocks sent and force her
to get back and seeing it for not carrying out
the mission.
Speaker 3 (44:14):
I think, I think, I've I think that's for me.
The ship has sailed on the.
Speaker 2 (44:18):
On I agree, but it wouldn't shock me if that
ends up being the end of game here, I mean
his mouthpiece.
Speaker 3 (44:28):
Oh, I would, I would love it. But seeing the
way Rock looks right now and I found out, you know,
he's doing it for another movie where he's lost a
considerable amount of weight. If people have seen you know,
the pictures online of him at the premiere of his
new movie, which I can't wait to see, it looks
(44:49):
very Yeah. Yeah, I mean yeah, he gets uh he
gets a bad rap for for Tooth Fairy and uh
of the other ones he's done, uh, but I think
this one is going to uh be his best by far,
and hopefully he Uh.
Speaker 1 (45:08):
That'd be awesome if you got recognized.
Speaker 3 (45:09):
You have Oscar winning uh actor uh on the t
k O board and the Final Boss. Imagine that coming
up on award winning. That would be uh, that'd be
just another thing too, another thing for him to brag about. Yeah,
(45:34):
but yeah, I'm I'm looking forward to, uh to that match.
Speaker 1 (45:39):
I think, uh, you know.
Speaker 3 (45:40):
Russell Poluea seems to be shaping up pretty well. I think, uh,
there's definitely some uh some intrigues in in in those
two matches that we talked about.
Speaker 2 (45:49):
So let's do this. Just in case I have to
mute again, I can at least give you something along here,
freaking annoying dogs.
Speaker 1 (45:59):
Mine's right here, right here.
Speaker 2 (46:02):
I normally have somebody here, but I didn't expect, you know,
obviously for us. Yeah, I have four dogs, guys. So
we'll do it, really try, I really try my best.
We're live pal, Yeah, doing my bat. Hey, we're live pal.
We shout out to Rip to our boy. Yeah, a
(46:23):
two D alumni, first superstar interview we ever had on here.
Psycho said, go back and check it out on the archives. Yeah,
I'll send it to you. It wasn't visual. This is
back when we were in studio.
Speaker 1 (46:36):
That's all right.
Speaker 2 (46:37):
So he was he called in and but we got
like an hour and like fifteen minute interview. Was awesome.
That's awesome and it's great dude. Uh anyway, so yeah,
let's get back to where we were at. Cool whoso
is reunited here? Uh kind of kind of burying l
(47:02):
a night here as well, you know, or are we
or are we? I don't know, but your thoughts on
on obviously where we're at with this. I'm very excited
by the way. Also, I don't want it to be
like a long term like, Okay, we got our rum
with Jay, now we're going back. You notice they introduced
(47:24):
them differently. It's Jimmy USSO and main event Jay, so
they are they're introduced not to you. So they are
introducing them as individuals, which I am all for, talk
about them being one of the greatest tag teams of
all times. I don't want this to be a long
term thing, but I hope we got a couple of
(47:47):
comments in here too. But I am very excited for this.
So I do want to get your thoughts. And he said,
the is it the extremes us say, I'm saying not
so much.
Speaker 3 (48:00):
The Sina les Yeah, I mean there's I guess in
a way they feel like I said that it rights
itself and there's probably no explanation needed. I mean, if
I were, if I were to guess, we're probably not
going to hear from Brock.
Speaker 1 (48:15):
I think it's just going to.
Speaker 3 (48:16):
Be action moving forward as he as he's done, you
know the previous two run ins that he's done. So
I wouldn't it wouldn't shock me if we never get
an get an explanation. It's just it's just his actions
that are doing the talking.
Speaker 2 (48:32):
But this is an interesting take here by Pete. Pete
our boy Pete who does film Don't Lie and comes
on with us sometimes. Pete, I need to get you
on here in the next couple of weeks. Yeah, I
need to have this cont We we need to have
this conversation with you. I don't I don't see it,
(48:54):
but Pete sees things in a very I don't say,
differ in a bad way. We look at wrestling differently,
which is great. It's what makes great conversations. Yeah, so
I want to hear I want I want Pete to
come on and you hear me out there, buddy, next
few weeks, I want you to come on with me
and Eric and we want to have a discussion on
(49:15):
how we're going to get there where this can work.
If you think that's going to happen. How do they
make it work? How do they get there? And how
do they make it work? Start doing your homework and
booking it now? But your thoughts? Eric?
Speaker 3 (49:28):
Sorry, no, no, all good? So I'm not with you
on this USO thing. I I think it's kind of
just a yeah. I hope it's short term because I mean,
I just don't I just don't see the appeal right
now of seeing them back together. I get why they are.
(49:50):
You know, they're they're defending Roman Romans out in storyline,
and they're they're they want to get back at the Vision,
but I don't unless you know they they plan for
the Vision to go over and they pinned Jimmy and
then it continues the story. I just don't see there
(50:11):
being much too much value to this match except for
to get bron and Brownson over against you know, the
greatest tag team, uh the ww's ever had, you know,
as far as you know, the championships of that nature.
But back to La Night, and you know how I
feel about La Night. I just don't know that they're
(50:34):
gonna have to do something to Pete's point and is
somebody gonna turn heel because I mean one, you know, yeah,
Jay's super kick night last night, Jay's not turning heel,
he's too over right now. I mean I don't see that.
I don't see that happening. But l A night's over
as well, So something's got to give.
Speaker 2 (50:57):
I just don't know why we even had to get
to this point, Like why why? Like I get it
and listen, the reality is sometimes in life two good
people just don't get along and don't like each other.
And I'm that too, but we don't. Why do we why?
And why do we need this program? Now? Why do
they like? What are they leading us to? And do
(51:19):
I really feel like I need this now? I'll say
this though, Eric, this is why I think this is
a good move with I believe that we're heading towards
bron and Bronson get capturing the tag team titles and
to build more stock in these guys. They take Roman out,
(51:40):
they take down the usso's one of the greatest tag
teams of all time. I think this kind of leads
their march to the tag team titles. And again, the
USOS are individuals now so as a tag team. They listen,
they're a legendary tag team, but they can take the
loss and they'll be they'll go about their singles runs
(52:02):
that they're doing now. But it's still a great notch
to put under Bron and Bronson.
Speaker 3 (52:09):
In our chat, I've been saying that. I've been saying
that for weeks about they should put the tag team
titles on Bron and Bronson. You're not doing anything with
them right now on Raw? Who are the champions Judgment Day?
Judgment Day exactly, like all the tag teams basically are
on SmackDown right now. They're doing a pretty good job there,
(52:30):
But I mean Raw has been uh kind of just absent.
They're they're finn in uh jdor in singles matches half
the time. So it's a good opportunity to build them
and build the tag team titles at the same time,
I said, I also said this, you know, I think
(52:53):
what Raw is really missing right now is, you know,
WW talks a lot about this wow and some prize element, like, hey,
we want to get a viral moment, Hey we want
to you know, we want to get likes on on
YouTube and views and all this stuff. What better way
to get views than to have a surprise title switch
(53:17):
on Monday Night Raw like, how long has it been
since there's since we've had a surprise world title win
by a babyface on Monday Night Raw. I can't even
remember the last time it was, like, You've got how
many months to WrestleMania. Clearly, we don't think Seth's losing
(53:39):
the title anytime soon, and clearly he's in a program
at CMPUNK right now. But I mean there's got to
be some surprise element that things are missing. Raw as
of late has just seemed to be kind of cookie cutter.
You have your promo at the beginning, you have your
stuff with Osca and Kyrie and EO, and then you
have your segment with Becky, and then you have your
(54:02):
match with El Grande Americano and Penta and Russev and
Seamus and thankfully they gave pent to a different opponent,
but he lost the Roofstev last night.
Speaker 2 (54:14):
Not pumped about how he's been booked.
Speaker 3 (54:16):
No, but but just saying like there needs to be
more of a surprise element on RAW, specifically because it's
just same old, same old. So like that's why I
don't think I'm as invested in this Ussos versus Vision
match because it's been the same stuff every week you
(54:38):
added Jimmy USO into it. I mean kind of how
that all went came about in Paris he ran in
and bron and Bronson just walked away.
Speaker 1 (54:48):
Why did they walk away?
Speaker 3 (54:50):
They don't think they can handle Jimmy USO together like
just talking like in storyline, but it's kind of just
like it's kind of thrown together just to have something.
But my going back to my point, I think a
month ago you could had l A. Knight when the
World heavyweight title gotten a huge pop, gotten huge views
(55:10):
on social media, and then he drops the title a
week or two later to seth Rollins and you don't
hurt seth Rollins at all, but you got but you
got somebody over.
Speaker 1 (55:20):
Now you got l A.
Speaker 3 (55:20):
Knight, who's who's just floundering and he just lost cling
to Bronson Reid, I mean that's probably your second or
third top babyface on Raw and what are you doing
with him? It's it's just I just don't understand what
they're doing with this guy. They moved them over to Raw.
He wasn't doing anything on SmackDown. He's clearly over like
(55:43):
and it's been like that for a few years with him,
so it's like do they turn him?
Speaker 2 (55:48):
Heel?
Speaker 1 (55:49):
Like, what do you do with him?
Speaker 3 (55:50):
He's he's such a good athlete, he's so good on
the mic. Like it's it's it's frustrating, you know to
see like because I mean, I'm an La Knight guy,
I'm an l A night Mark, And I want to
say I think he should have been world heavyweight champion already.
Doesn't need to be a long rain give give it
for two weeks. What's the harm in that?
Speaker 2 (56:11):
Yeah? I I see the argument both ways. I I
there's an element of like the early like the eighties
and the early nineties, with long term storytelling and guys
like Cogan and other guys held the title for you know,
nine months to three years. It's pretty much almost every
(56:35):
title run right. I always I missed a lot of that,
but it was also a time of long term storytelling.
They have so many titles at this point that first
of all, the reality is if you fight every week,
you're not winning every fight. Like I I've I've made
(56:57):
the argument that you know, our buddy Nick makes, but
I've been making the argument for many years until I
kind of started to come around after Romans run of
I see I see the value and the kind of
the nostalgia of what it's like to have a long
term champion. But I've always said, like, I don't understand
(57:19):
how like this is. Like I know we've got to
suspend belief, but like you can lose every match and
then suddenly you're a bad guy and you don't lose
a match for a year and a half. Then you
find yourself and your morals and you're like, you know what,
this kid just got to my heart, and then you
(57:40):
lose every match again. It makes no sense. It's just
not logical, Like it's like seeing it now right, It's like, okay,
are we gonna have seen this start dropping? Like we talked.
Speaker 3 (57:52):
Like he was like before he was losing to h
he lost to Austin Theory, lost a solo. Now he's
all he's super seen it again and you know, having
these great matches. But it's like that wrestling logic that
kind of just doesn't make sense in real life. But
but I think too, like it's just for for me
(58:14):
as somebody who like I'm gonna watch the product anyway,
but are these but are people who are watching it
just starting to watch it on Netflix and they're seeing
the same, you know, same thing every week. After a while,
it's like why am I watching this? Like what what
value am I getting from watching watching the same guys
(58:35):
come out every week, seeing seth rownds in the vision
just dominate everybody.
Speaker 2 (58:40):
Yeah, it's it's it's everything, though, Eric, it's all of them.
It's I get. I get, like this is the typical
he'll behavior, but I don't, like, here's common sense. You
guys are like, we're seeing the same I love Brons
(59:00):
and I like bronic kind of like there's alements of
it where I'm like kind of bored with it. Some
show me a dynamic, so like they do what they
do right, And then Pierce says, you guys are you
guys are banned from ringside? Okay, so how about like
or like, let's go to the judgment day, right, So
(59:20):
how about let's make it simple. Every week you're a champion.
If you interfere, we have cameras rolling and we see it.
If you get anywhere near there, you look, you are
stripped of your title. No questions asked. Like that's where
I'm being like like literal, but sometimes I need the literal,
(59:43):
like instead of We're seeing the same thing every time,
and it's like, like, do you guys, Like it's almost
like you make your referees look like they're the biggest
morons in the world, and you make all your your
faces look like the biggest idiots.
Speaker 1 (59:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (59:59):
Yeah, it's kind of insulting your intelligence where it's like, yeah,
like l a night last night, He's like, I don't
need anybody. I'm gonna go out there by myself.
Speaker 2 (01:00:08):
Like okay, Bud, like you yeah, Like like like that's
really gonna work for you in a two on one situation.
Speaker 3 (01:00:16):
Like just because you don't have anybody out there doesn't
mean that Bronson, you know what I'm gonna give. I'm
gonna give l a night a break. Bron you you
stay back. I'm gonna I'm gonna take this on my own,
like it's in wrestling logic. It's just doesn't didn't make
a lot of sense. And then Jay used to left
the building and then all of a sudden, oh, I'm back.
Speaker 1 (01:00:35):
I decided not to leave.
Speaker 3 (01:00:37):
Like things like that are just kind of just like
you just shake your head and it's.
Speaker 1 (01:00:40):
Like, you know, what are we doing? I do?
Speaker 3 (01:00:45):
I do appreciate Jay, you know, kicking l A Night
in the in the way that it's like, you know what,
like I don't have to be your friend. We're going
after the same title, like I'm not I'm not gonna
do any favors, Like I can appreciate that.
Speaker 2 (01:01:00):
Well, that's common sense.
Speaker 3 (01:01:01):
That that that finally a little sprinkle of common sense.
Speaker 1 (01:01:05):
But to what point?
Speaker 2 (01:01:07):
You know?
Speaker 1 (01:01:07):
Now l A. Knight not only did he.
Speaker 3 (01:01:09):
Lose the match, but then he got kicked in the face,
and now where's he go from there? So we'll see
what happened. Like the next thing would be, you know,
are you turning him? And I think Pete brought up
a good point, like somebody is eventually gonna be like
I'm sick of getting beat up every week. I'm gonna
join these guys because I'm I'm sick. I'm sick get
(01:01:30):
getting my ass kicked every week. So but that's like
the logic that we're trying to explain where it's like,
you know, is wwe is the writing team thinking that
same logic. Sometimes it doesn't seem that way, and I think, uh,
I think sometimes that gets lost probably and you know
that weekly you know writing, you know you see it
(01:01:52):
on paper and the way it's executed is one A
and one B. So it's like, you know, what are
you going to get? But I think right now too,
it's it's tough because you don't have You've got Seth,
but he's in another program, so you really don't have
anybody else there heal or babyface wise, that's like you
(01:02:16):
stepping up to you know know, not having roman Is
is hurting a little bit, and I think, uh, you know,
right now, I think everybody's just anticipating that. That's why
you bring up like Seth, like we said, you said
it last week or the week before. We'll see Seth
losing the title to WrestleMania. So what do you do
between there? Like what's wrong with Hey? Like he messes
(01:02:39):
up one night, something happens and we get a new champion,
and then all right, I'm gonna get a rematch and
I get it back two weeks later, no harm, no foult,
and you get more heat by doing that.
Speaker 2 (01:02:51):
I think what the logic needs to be. If we're
gonna go long term title main title holders, then there
needs to be and I always felt like this is
the purpose of it. Your secondary titles can carry periods
of time, particularly with how deep the rosters out are.
You have former world champions carrying some of these secondary titles.
Speaker 3 (01:03:16):
So they remember, I'm sorry, now, remember like back in
the day, like the Top the top guys would wear
the tag team titles and then they would start a
feud with each other like it was like those tag
titles were used for that.
Speaker 1 (01:03:29):
Exactly, Sorry guys.
Speaker 2 (01:03:31):
Now, just saying though, I mean, that's to me is
the simple solution. I have no problem if you're gonna
run Set and you're gonna run Cody to Mania, no
problem that. If this is what the solution is, then
we need to emphasize the United States title, the tag
team titles, and the Interconminal title more and and again,
(01:03:53):
what we're seeing with the women's now, I feel like
their their main titles are kind of in flux. But
you know what, Eric, to the point, what has happened
has happened. Your women's World champion got pregnant and is gone.
Whether we agree with how they're getting to where they're
(01:04:13):
getting to, right, we're going to remove that. What are
they doing? They are featuring the Intercontinental title to show
an emphasis on that title and allowing that title to
be the carrier, the the driving force of the women's division.
(01:04:34):
While that title is currently vacated and it's working, It's
incredibly working. I mean, yet aj Lee stealed the title
and walk out with it around our waist. You've got
the visual of what Ajlee, a former Devis Champion, legend,
whole of future Hall of Famer, would look like with
that title on the I mean that's not by accident.
(01:04:57):
So that is what we need to see. With the
men's side, I don't mind what they're doing with Seth
and what they're what they're going to be doing with Cody.
Obviously we know Cody is out because he had a baby,
which was crazy that nobody even knew that was happening
just one day. It's like, yay, congratulations to them, by
the way. Yeah, but I do believe that that is
(01:05:18):
what the solution is. I think that they need to
emphasize that stuff. So anything for the final for the
final cause here Eric, before we jump off, and you know,
we we've had a great show. We didn't even expect
to have a show today. Let me see the question
(01:05:40):
on the day based war gamescene.
Speaker 3 (01:05:41):
There you go, Yeah, that's yeah, Dynasty, Thank you for
thank you for the comments. Yeah, I think I think
that's a good way to you. I mean, you've seen
it before, the old school w c W war games.
You have somebody, uh somebody do the nice little uh
little turn and uh you know the horsemen or we're
notorious for that and you could do that easily in
(01:06:04):
that in that type of match.
Speaker 1 (01:06:05):
So yeah, good stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:06:07):
Yeah, anything for but yeah, anything for the cause before
we jump off the here.
Speaker 3 (01:06:12):
No thanks everybody for uh for jumping on and listening
to us. Definitely like and subscribe Chrome and I are
trying to get popular. Yeah we are a'm over diamond.
But I just want to bring we haven't been on
since we were we didn't talk about uh our night
at uh at a W, and I just want to uh,
(01:06:34):
you know, shout out. It was good to you know,
get out to twenty three hundred arena and uh experience
and see the building for the first time in a
long time for me. And it was a good night
to catch up with friends and uh and see you know,
it is a good show. You you know, we dig
a little at a W because we care. But they
(01:06:56):
did put on a really nice show and a nice
uh nice tribute to TAZ and I think they're done
their residency this week, so it looks like it's been
a success, which is great and uh.
Speaker 1 (01:07:10):
And that's it.
Speaker 3 (01:07:12):
But yeah, thanks everybody for uh for joining us. And
and then next week we'll uh we'll talk more about
Russell Palooza and uh and all out. Like Chrome said,
it's gonna be uh, it's gonna be a fun, fun
weekend coming up on the twentieth of September.
Speaker 1 (01:07:28):
Get ready.
Speaker 2 (01:07:30):
Yeah, a a W was awesome. Just to kind of
touch on that a little bit, Eric before we do
hop off, you know, we since we dove into it.
You said, yeah, the building in a while, first time
really checking out a W. Just kind of what were
(01:07:51):
your thoughts on on the presentation, the layout. I can
tell you if anyone hasn't been there, first of all,
if you go on Max and you watched that first episode.
So I'm gonna pop a picture up here in a minute.
We were right near the entrance way, so literally, I
mean almost every segment they did that span over the
(01:08:15):
aisleway and you could see us right there.
Speaker 3 (01:08:18):
Just look for the big guy with the Barkley jersey,
Saquon Barkley Jersey on in the big Fat Head and
that there's us right there.
Speaker 2 (01:08:26):
Yeah, talk about your experience getting back to the arena
and what aw was able to accomplish with all of that.
Speaker 3 (01:08:34):
Yeah, they they did a really nice job. I think,
you know, that building those that are not familiar, it holds,
but nine hundred people doesn't hold a lot of people,
but they maximize the space. And on TV it looked
like you know, you were you know, it looked like
a regular show. They did a really nice job with
(01:08:56):
the setup. You know, I think utilizing the space for
what they had, and if you've seen their promos in
the back, they're doing it under the under the overpass
and and using the out outside space as much as
possible because there's really not a lot of space to
utilize there. So I think they've done a really nice
job of capitalizing and utilizing the space that they had.
(01:09:18):
And I and again, like like I've said before, I
think it's smart to do these residencies.
Speaker 1 (01:09:23):
You're making you're not.
Speaker 3 (01:09:26):
Spending as much money, you're utilizing you know, small venues,
you're making it look full and it's a it's a
perfect presentation for them and for the for the audience.
You know, it was a it was a great experience.
You're up close had uh what's his face from FTR
give me a nice little crotch chop at the beginning
(01:09:46):
because I was and we were giving us stokely a
nice little, uh little hoe treatment. But uh, it was
a lot of fun and uh, I know, Chrome got
some pictures, uh with some of the some of the talent.
So I think, uh, we were really really right there.
It was it was, it was good, and I think
they put on a really good show and they utilized
(01:10:08):
the space. They said they utilized the space adequately and
and very well.
Speaker 1 (01:10:14):
Had a good time.
Speaker 2 (01:10:16):
Yeah. Obviously they did the tribute to Taz, which they
were supposed to do it, which again we weren't there,
but they were supposed to do a follow up where
they were going to I guess induct him into the
Buildings Hall of Fame. Yeah, which is cool. I mean
I've been there early. I was there for ral Van
(01:10:38):
Dam's induction and I somebody else I can't. I do
remember rvd's induction. That was during Battle Brown Championship Brassling.
We had phenomenal seats. I was able to get a
picture with Jimmy Lyon from gc W Death Maatch Wrestler.
(01:11:01):
Uh and obviously on the way out at Caliber uh.
Super cool guy got a picture. So just to give
people this little a little uh, let me wells comment
on here. So there's that. There's that stud right there, handsome.
Speaker 1 (01:11:20):
That's all.
Speaker 2 (01:11:22):
That's very nice.
Speaker 1 (01:11:23):
You to say that about Nate. That's very nice. But
our buddy Nate on the on the right, that is.
Speaker 2 (01:11:28):
Our buddy Nate. Obviously, I'm repping the brand here with
the lazy booking tank top and this. Outside of the
ran we had a bunch of other pictures. I should
send you some of America. I took a ton of them.
Speaker 3 (01:11:38):
I saw some of the ones you posted online. But yeah,
it was that was that was a lot of fun.
It was a great, great crowd. They were really like
I think our night I've watched I watched Dynamite last week.
Speaker 1 (01:11:50):
Our crowd was a million times better.
Speaker 3 (01:11:53):
I don't know if it was because of the talent
that was involved, but I but you know, maybe because
it was the first night.
Speaker 2 (01:12:00):
But I think it's a lot of that. I think
the first night, the talent that was involved, I mean,
it came out hot with FTR and uh edging Christian.
I'm not calling them and C. I'm not calling them
C and C not calling them coping Christians when they're together.
It's edging Christian.
Speaker 1 (01:12:18):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (01:12:19):
But anyway, Yeah, it was just a very very hot show,
so great times had by all. We we had a
great time. So we look forward to coming back to
with you guys next week. Next week, we like I said,
we will be previewing Wrestl Palooza. Uh and we will
be previewing all Out uh and yeah it be me
(01:12:43):
and Eric and we'll see whoever else wants to join us.
But yeah, I mean Erica is my my co host
at this point, so we can remove the weekly guest
and basically co host Eric Archer of the Lazy Books
and podcast.
Speaker 1 (01:12:57):
So let's go.
Speaker 2 (01:12:59):
