(01:18):
Have you ever wanted a do over in life? You know,
a new beginning. Maybe you've even wanted a do over
with God himself. Examine your spiritual walk. What grade would
you assign? Take a deep, relaxing breath as you meditate

(01:45):
on God's goodness. You serve a God of new beginnings.
He's the God of the hope found in a stable
in Bethlehem and the redemption found in an empty tomb
in Jerusalem. And He's ready to offer you a new
beginning in your walk with him right now. Long ago,

(02:15):
an angel delivered a message of hope to the apostle John.
This is what John wrote in Revelation twenty one, verse five.
He who was seated on the throne, said I am
making everything new. Then he said, write this down, for

(02:36):
these words are trustworthy and true. Jesus will make everything
new when he returns and creates the new heavens and
the new Earth. But he's making things new today too.

(02:57):
The Bible even calls you one of God's new creations.
Here's the question. Are you walking as a new creation
or do you feel trapped in the way you've always been.
Moses experienced a new beginning with God, so did David

(03:20):
and Peter. God is offering you one to How do
you want to reconnect with God. Maybe it's through Bible reading, prayer, witnessing, giving,
or worship. Whatever it is, God is ready to walk
by your side. Let's pray. Father, thank you for your

(03:49):
patience with me. Thank you for standing by my side
even when I forget about you. Please forgive me for
those times when I've drifted. I want to grow closer
to you. I want to read my Bible more and
more and pray more. I want to shine your light

(04:09):
wherever I go, and I want to be generous with
what you have given me. Grant me wisdom, give me
a deeper hunger for you, and thank you that your
mercies are new every morning. Amen, take a deep, relaxing breath.

(04:35):
Hold it there for a moment. Now exhale, open your palms,
and invite God in hand all your troubles to him.
Spend the next few moments worshiping the Prince of Peace.

(05:10):
Take a moment now to search your heart for any
unconfessed sin. Maybe it's something that relates to today's meditation,
or perhaps it's something else. Whatever it is, God is
ready to forgive. We live in a world that's enamored

(05:44):
by what's new, new movies, new songs, new cars, new clothes. God, though,
offers something much bigger, something eternal, a new beginning with him.

(06:06):
Listen carefully and intentionally as I read Revelation twenty one,
verse five in the New International version, he who was
seated on the throne said, I am making everything new.
Then he said, write this down, for these words are

(06:26):
trustworthy and true. I'll read that again. He who was
seated on the throne said, I am making everything new.
Then he said, write this down, for these words are
trustworthy and true. What stood out to you this time?

(07:19):
Maybe you're someone who has never had a daily relationship
with God, or perhaps you're someone who once had a
close walk but somehow got out of the habit. Perhaps
you just want to deepen the relationship you have. Whenever
the case, the fact that you're listening to this meditation

(07:42):
means God is still pursuing you. How would your life
be different if you were walking more closely with God?

(08:21):
John wrote Revelation as Christians around him were being persecuted,
even killed, but God gave John a message of hope.
Here's Revelation twenty one to five in the translation, and
the one sitting on the throne set, look, I am

(08:43):
making everything new. And then he said to me, write
this down, for what I tell you is trustworthy and true.
God's words are trustworthy, they're true. That stands in contrast

(09:05):
to the world's advertisements and messages, which you often are
filled with exaggerations, empty promises, and lies. God says he
will make everything new. What part of your spiritual life
do you want God to make new? Talk to him

(09:28):
about it. What practical changes do you need to make

(10:01):
in your life to help you grow closer to God.

(10:35):
Listen now as I read Revelation twenty one, verse five
in the Amplified Bible, And He who sits on the
throne said, behold, I am making all things new. Also,
he said right, for these words are faithful and true.

(10:56):
They are accurate, incorruptible, and trustworthy. Do you ever struggle
to have a positive outlook on the future? Christians during
the Early Church did too, Yet they took solace in
God's promise about Jesus's return. Revelation twenty one, verse four

(11:21):
says he will wipe every tear from their eyes. There
will be no more death or mourning, or crying or pain,
for the old order of things has passed away. How
does that verse change your perspective on the next year.

(12:14):
God loves new beginnings. Every spring, new flowers bloom, every morning,
a new sunrise climbs over the horizon. You are an
example of a new beginning two Corinthians five point seventeen.
In the New Internet Stal version says, Therefore, if anyone

(12:40):
is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old
has gone. The new is here for the next few moments.
Thank God for making you a new creation. Our relationship

(13:31):
with God is the foundation for everything else in life.
It's the source of peace and joy. It's the key
to patience, kindness, and self control. When our relationship with
God suffers, the rest of our life is impacted too.
When this year ends and you look back, what improvements

(13:56):
do you want to see in your life? Perhaps you

(14:28):
want to read the Bible daily. Maybe you want to
pray more, witness more, or give more. God is ready
to help you grow. Ask him now for guidance. Father,

(15:16):
Thank you for new beginnings, that your mercies are new
every morning. Thank you for an opportunity to reconnect with you.
I want to grow deeper in my relationship with you.
I want to love you more and serve you more.
I want to dive deeper into your word. I want

(15:39):
to pray more, to give more, to witness more, to
not be afraid, just to walk more closely with You.
Guide me on my journey in Jesus name, I pray, Amen,

(16:02):
make today a turning point in your relationship with your creator.
Make today a new beginning with God. Until next time,
May you abide in Christ
