(00:04):
But wrap your minds around this, gentlemen called week up, closed deal.
I hate Chris and I hate allyour sisters. Give each other a kiss
and makeup. Man, the guysthought about him. It's not funny to
Guynie's help. Ryce is wrong, bitch, I care you don't like me?

(00:24):
I explode. I award you nopoints, and may God have mercy
on your soul. Welcome to AdamSandler. Please stop. A retrospective of
all Adam Sandlers movies past, present, and unfortunately future. I'm Robert Bacon,
and with me as always are myco hosts Marie Maloney and Caleb George.

(00:46):
This week, we are looking atAdam Sandler's sequel to Murder Mystery,
appropriately titled Murder Mystery Too, releasedthe day where we're recording March thirty first,
twenty twenty three. Yeah, we'reall on the studio together again,
watching another Adam Sandler. Last timewe did this, it was the hustle.

(01:07):
Was it the hustle that was aboutto ask that? Yeah? Do
you guys? Did everyone forget aboutthat one? I didn't. Every time
I see him play basketball, I'mlike this hustle right there. I'm really
excited to watch this one. Youare excited, Yes, I'm very Why
are you excited about it? Well, I'm not excited for the movie.
I'm just excited to watch another AdamStandley movie with you guys. I am
too. It's been so long.Yeah, and something that's already established.

(01:30):
You know, we've already set themurder mystery world. Yeah, we know
there's going to be a murder. We know there's going to be a mystery.
We know what I'm saying, there'sgoing to go everywhere. The PLoP
of this movie is full time detectivesNick and Audrey are struggling to get their
private eye agency off the ground. That's the beginning of a Disney movie.

(01:56):
They find themselves at the center ofinternational abduction when their friend Maharajah Maharajah,
Maharajah, Maharaja the Maharasha, Maharajahgarry. I don't know. I thought
it was is it the actual itwas Spanish? Maharasha is like a person,

(02:19):
right person? Well, their friendis the Maharajah, is is he?
Though? I guess we'll find outwhy? Am I asking? We'll
find out. In ten minutes,Maharajah is kidnapped at his own wedding,
so they're there to solve it hasto be the real Maharasha he got married
last year. Really, I don'tknow. I don't know. Wow,

(02:42):
First Adam Sailor. True story factsabout this movie. This is the third
Jennifer Anderston Adam Sandler movie. It'sonly three. Yeah, I would have
guessed more. Actually, do youknow the other two? Yes, just
go with it and Murder Mystery gonnaguess the same. Just go with it.
Every time we talk about it,we have to talk about Dave Matthews

(03:06):
picking up a coconut with his butt. It's really great, and then that
being like a sign that gay,I don't know what I mean, that's
what they that's what they portrayed as. We're not saying, we're not saying
why, but why do you Itwas a contest where they had to work
a coconut like that orange thing wherelike you put an orange between two people

(03:28):
and if they work it up totheir mouths. But they did it with
a coconut and they dropped it.So then Dave Matthews picks it up with
his butthole. But there's no way, Yeah, linen pants, butt cheeks,
he got flaps like that he gotflaps, like there's no way his

(03:49):
ass won't quit. This is Sandler'sfirst Netflix sequel. Do we remember any
of the other Adam Sandlers sequels?Um Up two? Yeah, grown Ups
two, which is better than grownUp Jack and Jills? Any story about
Jack and Jill? Jack and Jills, and then Jack's and Jills. Uh

(04:15):
two two, and uh there's onlytwo more. They're from the same franchise.
It's the same franchise. He's intwo more sequels, but it's the
same franchise. So he's in oneother franchise with sequels. Oh, I
see that's not grown Up? Whatis it's animated? Oh? It's two

(04:41):
not for he put his foot downfour Wizards set. This film is filmed
in Hawaii and Paris and the Caribbeancab Why not that's or Caribbean. I
think that's both. Yeah, soyou know Adam Sandler's right back to paying

(05:06):
for vacations with this famous friend.Yes, of course, Marie. I
have your rankings saved from letterbox here. We could look at those later real
quick. Just want to talk aboutAdam Sandler's upcoming films. He has one
called Leo. It's in post production. I think we've talked about this in
the past, about his animated filmthat he was working on. It's expected

(05:27):
to release on November twenty second thisyear, twenty twenty three, but nothing
has been announced, and so thatcan one change. The plot of that
one is a seventy four year oldlizard named Leo and his turtle friend decide
to escape from the terrarium of aFlorida school classroom where they've been living for
decades. Pretty interesting, okay, kind of like a Finding Nemo situation.

(05:50):
Yeah. Right. There's also Spaceman, which we've talked about before, and
that one's just in post production. It says it's expected to read release in
twenty twenty three, but we're gettingpretty late in the year already and for
nothing to be announced, I'm gettingkind of like worried that that one's not
going to come out this year.So I feel that one's going to get

(06:11):
pushback. Plot Jacob Prozaka, I'msaying it probably incorrectly. Orphaned as a
boy and raised in the Czech countrysideby his grandparents, overcomes his odds to
become the country's first astronaut. Veryinterested, Yeah, very very very interesting.
That one's the one I've been lookingforward to for the longest time,

(06:34):
and I really hope it's good. That's not the Safty Brothers one, is
it? I think that might beit? Is it? Yeah? Well,
it's based on a book. Okay. There's also you are so not
invited to my bat Mitzvah that iscompleted. They're done filming, so it's
even out of post production, soit's done being edited and everything. But
there's been no release on anything onthat. So those are three films that

(06:56):
we're looking forward to. We are, well, I am. I'm especially
looking forward to the bot Mitzva one. These all seem like they could be
something great. The bot Mitzva onehas the potential to maybe be one of
the worst. Yeah, but you'relooking forward to I'm looking format. We're
gonna watch thirty minutes at a time, stopping every thirty minutes to come back

(07:18):
and talk about it. Each ofus has a stop card that we could
lay at any time that if there'ssomething that we absolutely need to talk about
cool anything else before we get started. I'm ready to get murdered real quick.
Do we like the first one?Middling? Middling? It was just

(07:40):
like this is a movie. Ithink we probably did not enjoy it.
No, I remember just being reallybored and the plot not making any sense.
And one thing I remember is AdamSandler's character is a cop and they
find a murdered person and then hesays, everyone go back to your bunks
and go to bed. And they'reon a boat, so he knows there's

(08:00):
a murderer and he's like, don'tworry about it. We'll take care of
this in the morning. Yeah, everyone get a good night's sleep. Yeah,
that's one of those. It's Iremember it being very like pointing out
things that are funny from like Afar, like something silly is going on,
and I'm saying, there's like, why is such a silly thing happening?
And it goes on. Yeah, interesting, m Yeah, all right,

(08:22):
guys, let's get murdered mystery.Two. Four years ago, Nick and
Audrey spith Sault some of the mosthigh profile murders of the century. Should
we pulled up now, it's afoot long night, don't put it back.

(08:43):
Like many overnight success stories, Nickand Audrey immediately quit their jobs and
poured their life savings into pursuing acareer as private investigators. Are you kidding
me right now with those potatorships? Are you thirly yellow about me? I
watched you eight two shrimp cocktail.Stop distracting me. Okay, unfortunately it's
not going very well. Then getto a certain stage in their life.

(09:07):
It's nothing to do with you,not all men. No, but don't
get mad at me for this.So I here, you've been cheating on
you one wally after twenty five years. Baby, I've been going out on
my own so I could plan asurprise wedding anniversary for you. No,
it's so committed. I'm so sorry. Excuse us you guys. If you

(09:28):
don't mind us paying this noil,we'll be out of your love bug and
air bill. You're billing her.Yeah, well, as we've made a
deal and you were hitting on me, I was under cover. It just
keeps getting better and better. Withbusiness struggling, Nick and Aldrin could only
pray for a miracle that someone closeto them would be killed. Welcome back,

(09:50):
ladies and gentlemen. We just watchedthe first thirty minutes of Murder Mystery
too, and yeah, how arewe feeling? It? Whelmed a movie?
It's definitely on the screen it's definitelyhappening. Yeah, yeah, real
milk toast on this one so far. I mean they're kind of setting everything

(10:13):
up. The movie is only ninetyminutes, so we've watched a third of
it already, and it's been alot of talkie talkie setup times, lots
of talkie talkie setups. Yeah, but they do get to the private island
of the Maharasha pretty quickly. Yeah. And a silly bit that we have

(10:35):
laughed at a little bit is thatall the animals on this island are wearing
diapers, some CGI to some not. But um, it was the elephant
elephant was a real diaper. Well, it was a CGI diaper on the
elephant. Has there been a realdiaper because I think the CGI diapers so

(10:56):
I haven't seen a real diaper.Yeah, and that's what I'm real diaper.
At one point I did, Yeah, you remarked at the giraffe,
You're like how they get it on? Oh, I was joking. I
was joking. I was making jokesabout the idea that who at the hotel
has to be the one to liketake the diapers off, like diaper duty,

(11:20):
diaper duty. Like animals aren't likethey're just shitting all the time.
So like the amount of work itwould take to like deal with this diaper
problem that you created yourself, andthe expense and expense and the infections that
they probably cause because they have tostay on. Diapers are expensive for tiny

(11:41):
hum yes, for tiny butts.Tiny, but you put it on an
elephant. But that's it's way toomuch. But I don't know how much
draft drafts poop. Did they pooplike those little pellets like goats? Do
you think No? I think itpours out like a sewage that's been back
to a month. If you thinkit, does that start up on their

(12:01):
head? Yeah? Yeah, Thisshit goes the length of their body.
Yeah, comes out real fat.Their lower intestine begins at their neck.
I did write down. The firstmovie is explained with one line. What
was that? So if you're like, hey, should I watch Murder Mystery

(12:22):
one before I watch Murder Mystery too? No need? You don't need,
no need. They explain it withinthe first ten seconds with one line.
Was it necessary? Was it necessary? It just goes to show how little
these are actually connected. It's justthe two same characters. And who are
these characters? I still don't remembertheir names, and this is the second
film we watched. Yeah, Ijust don't understand why they did it because

(12:43):
I'm like, if it's that short, was it necessary at all? And
it was kind of like a weirdlike last Time on Murder Mystery kind of
field to it. The movie doesnot look good. I'll say, you
don't think it looks good. Everything'sso flat, everything's in focus. Everything
thing feels like a set every like. None of the shots are particularly interesting.

(13:05):
A lot of them are static. It's a lot of sitting and talking,
a lot of back and forth. We just watched a Bollywood dancer.
Are you sure you're gonna hold tightto that theory? I like Bollywood stuff.
We talked about I love R RR. That was amazing. Yeah,
the dancing, the Bollywood dancing waslike a TikTok video level of like
that is true not Yeah, itwas not very good Bollywood dancing. But

(13:28):
the song slapped. The song wasgood and it was fun energy and I
was enjoying it. And the songis a famous like because they kept cutting
to the singer and I was like, I bet that's like a Follywood singer.
I'm totally unfamiliar with it. Butso I bet it's not a bad
it's a song it slaps because Ibet it's a good artist or he's somebody
well known in the Bollywood world.Maybe potentially the song is good. But

(13:50):
again, like it's shot poorly andeven at eighteen minutes and eight seconds I
called it when we were watching it, I'm like, I see, I
could see a camera in the shotfor the entire shot, not only the
camera, the monitor on top ofthe camera with everything. It's at eighteen
minutes eight seconds. That even isbefore this, and it's in there for

(14:11):
a long time. Yeah. Also, these dance movements are so small for
like Bollywood style. Yes, we'vealready had like a full camera shot in
this already. It's it just seemno, no, no, maybe that's
the wedding videographer. Yes, yes, that would make sense. Why his

(14:31):
looking towards him? I took notes, But what'd you take? Bacon?
Well, I put missing arm joke, and then I wrote missing eye joke.
I wonder what how many body putsare gonna do? Because he had
in a fake arm in the firstone, right, Oh, I don't
remember. I thought he had afake hand. And then so now they're
coming back and he's like, oh, your whole arm's gone on the same

(14:54):
and then they made a joke abouthis eye. Yeah, so yeah,
we'll see how many things he missed. And then I wrote down my guess
at who done it? Oh,let's take guesses. I take guess.
Yeah, I'm going to guess thathe planned his own kidnapping the groom.
The groom gets kidnapped at his wedding. We watch it all happen, and
we see all the suspects, andI think the dumbest thing would be the
groom wants to get out of gettingmarried, and he's he's planned his own

(15:16):
kidnapping so it doesn't have to getmarried. That tracks with how these movies
normally go. My problem with thattheory is if it's true, I'm going
to hate this movie. Yeah,it's pretty because like murdered someone yea,
for the sake of getting out ofhis own wedding. Yeah, don't take

(15:37):
other people down with you. Justdon't get married, and we'll see maybe
more people die. But because thefirst one, like all of them die
pretty right now, this is akidnapping, like it's not really doesn't really
center around a murder. It centersaround a kidnapping because no one cares about
the murder. The murder happens andeveryone's like, right, the groom's exactly

(15:58):
So I'm like, ya, isn'ta murder, miss, It wasn't really
him. It was a bodyguard we'vemet for two seconds. Yeah, so
I don't know who's apparently pretty shittypodcast he's now stabbed in dead, But
like, I don't know, Ijust it doesn't center around a murder,
Which is my biggest problem with itto start is this is clearly people will
die, right I guess I assumeif they don't, then be really hope.

(16:21):
But like, if it really doescenter around like a faux kidnapping,
then it's not a murder mystery, and that would drive me insane. I
mean, Adam Sandler and Jennifer andJennifer Anderston are having a great time together.
Yes, everybody else's I'm going toblame the director on this one because
everyone's coming off like it's very lyneready. It's very like, here's a

(16:47):
plot point that I need to getout right now that everyone should know about.
Here's a plot point that I needto say right now that everyone needs
And then Adam Sandler and Jennifer Anderssonare there being like, whoa weird?
Yeah, I think first cast wasbetter. The first cast was a little
bit more star studded. Yeah, because it had to what's her face?
From Baby Driver? Um? Whowas also the baby who Baby Baby Drive

(17:10):
she was the iPod um? Yes, exactly, Yeah, and then they
had like not dominic quest, what'shis fucking face? Draculon told I know
the films they're in that yeah, that same actors also, Gaston lukevans that
the action. Yeah, but I'mgonna call him yeah. Yeah, it's

(17:30):
just a better cast in the original, so it's better acting this one.
I feel whelmed kind of. I'mhoping that it takes a good turn,
but it's so far it's it's,yeah, kind of boring. There's been
a few laughs. People have laughed. A couple of chuckles, you know,
a couple of chuckles have been said. And one thing that we all
laughed at is this line, whathappened to a guy that which gets kidnapped

(17:53):
with the money there's an old profitin hurting him. Oh god, we're
not going to be invited anywhere everagain. Ever again. The cheese has
a hold on me, How Ican't stop who among us, you know,
and be like, I guess I'mjust gonna eat this like a like
an animal just taking bikes out ofthe side of this chunk of cheese.

(18:15):
The cheese has a hold on me. How I can't stop. The cheese
has a hold on me when youeat like a big chunk of cheese that
you're just like, I'm just gonnaput it. I'm just gonna I'm not
gonna slice it anymore. A goodbree has a hold on me too,
I can't quit it. So there'ssome stuff and here we're laughing at like

(18:37):
one off you know things, butthat's not enough to carry the whole lot.
But I remember saying, maybe I'mwrong, maybe I didn't, but
I remember saying the first one twothat like they do have good chemistry together,
Like they are very like quippy together. You could tell their friends in
real life, Yes, when theyhang out together, like they've chosen to
make these movies together. Yeah,I do think like there are elements of
this being a good murder mystery, and I think the first one is far

(19:00):
better an example of the murder mystery. But like they are in a way
pain kind of like homage to likeTommy and Tuppins of Agatha Christie or like
the thin Man series of like acouple that's quippy together, that solves mysteries
together. So like there is alittle bit of like elements of murder mystery
here and they think the first oneis like way better in terms of hitting
those tropes of murder mystery. Thisone feels like it's really deluded down and

(19:23):
it's tough. It's coming after knivesout and knives out too, not too
long ago, a few months.Yeah, but like that movie is so
funny, yes, and it's sogood and we done so well done,
I mean, good luck this movie. Yeah it is. This is does
feel like flyover murder mystery, Likeit does feel a little like catered to,

(19:45):
Like didn't get Ryan else, sothis is what we got. Yes,
it feels like it's a different demographicperhaps. Yeah. All right,
let's get back to watching some murder. Mister doc. All right, it's
going back in a minute. Okay, you need to keep him calm,

(20:06):
you need to keep them talking whenyou at least forty five seconds. I
know it's not my first rodeo, pal, you've done post this negotiation.
I'm married to this lady. Everything'sin negotiation. I got it, appreciate
it. So twenty five seconds andit starts. Now, Hi, kidnapper,

(20:29):
how are you? Is this theman who tried to stop me nice
ki? Yes, yes, yes, the man you shot at. Luckily
I got out of the way.Just tell me what we can do to
get Vic back safely. That's allwe really care about for the return of
the Maharaja. You report fifty milliondollars fifty Francisco. You think this is

(20:52):
like the price is right? Screamingout numbers, Way too much money for
just one guy. Great, justlost the trace. Yeah, well it's
my fault. This guy's yelling outwhat are you yelling? Hammered right now?
And I'm catching shit. Guy,we're taking a toll on the marriage
thing. Excuse me, at leastwe are married. Yeah, alright,
com this is how we communicate withfrom New York. We are back.

(21:15):
We've just watched another half hour ofMurder Mystery too. A lot has happened,
but yet also not much has happened. Once again, we've changed locations.
Yes, we're now in Paris.Let's just get this out of the
way. It's pretty egregious for themto have had such an absolutely brutal,

(21:37):
like reckless van chase in Paris ofall places, because like that's terrorism that
actually has happened there pretty recently.Yeah, and that's so dark. That
said, it was the best scenein the movie, the best scene in
the movie. It's the hard isAdam Sandlers worked in. He really was

(22:03):
doing fight Correa. Sandler's an actionstar. It was kind of crazy to
witness out of like forty minutes intothe movie, Adam Sandler becomes an action
star. It's for five minutes.Yeah, it is crazy. He's dodging
a hatchet, he's killing people, shooting people, being them with a briefcase,

(22:23):
doing quick like turns, turns. It's all awesome. Does it have
to be in a van crashing right, crashing through threw Paris, mowing people
down? Yeah, like the realterrorism. Yeah, no, I hate
that. It's the only good scenein the film I've actually enjoyed. And

(22:44):
they just brush it off, youknow, they get out of the van,
They're like, well that happened.Yeah anyway, Yeah, I have
a little clip that I'd like toplay that I'm pretty sure like they've probably
shot like ten fifteen of takes thebutton to the scene, and they decided
to go with this one. Let'ssee here. I'm gonna need both your
phones because they compromised him. Ohokay, well get him back right because

(23:07):
he's a brand new We've got himfor free. They gotta d the gift
backs they gave him to us.I can't believe that, just that.
I think we're gonna make hear films. I had a dick pick on mine,
but that's gone. Yeah, whydid he? Why? Why?
That? That sounds like a linethat they went over a few times and
that that was the best one.Yeah, there's a lot of dad jokes.
We talked about this a little bitwhere we're watching it, but there's

(23:29):
also a lot of dad jokes. It feels like, but then there's moments
that's like, actually make me laugh. This is hard. This isn't a
hard film. This I'm enjoying ita little bit more than I did for
the first thirty minutes, but likethe last thirty minutes I would say did
have some of the best thirty minutesin the movie. It's it's not it's
definitely an action thriller movie more thanit maybe is a murder mystery. And

(23:51):
after they crashed into the cafe andlike the hostage negotiats, the hostage negotiator
takes the money, him getting blownup, and then someone else taking the
money and them getting blowed up,and then I know what, someone else
taking the money. I was notexpecting that, and it was kind of
funny. Yeah, even though allthree of us were like third time,

(24:12):
one more and they didn't do itwell. They heightened too much. They
it went, Guy gets in car, car blows up, Guy gets off
motorcycle, walks through flames, briefcase, guy gets hit by garbage truck.
And then it was like, wow, where are they going to go from
garbage truck? Because I thought itwas like going to be something really big

(24:33):
and then it was nothing. Itwas in It's like, ah, I
really wanted that, Like it shouldhave been maybe truck then garbage truck or
something. It was missing a beat. We all felt it. Yeah,
it was funny, but that's themovie. The movie's like this is good,
but we're not going to do theextra bit. Yeah, we're not
gonna you know, and I saygood and it's not a good movie.
Yeah, you know, I'm nothating everything. It's middling. Yeah,

(24:59):
yeah, I have a I havea good dad joke here too. Hold
on, let me play this dadjoke. Never left the room, leave
the room. Maybe they stole theknife so they could deep bake when our
fingerprints are all over it. Butsay we did not do that? Hell
is he all say bullshit, weare not capable like this, like the

(25:21):
opposite of OJ. We would neveran assault. That was great. But
then he also just throws in likeopposite of OJ, and it's like,
yeah, we're doing OJ jokes intwenty twenty three. Yeah, but again
that's just some of the part ofthe machine. Like of Sandlers. He's
making jokes that were, you know, really a hit in ninety nine.

(25:45):
You know, like this is likethe closest we've seen him to being himself
in a lot, like truly himself. Yeah. And he's having fun though,
Yes, And he's dressed with AdamSandlers at full Adam Sandler. He's
in his full wet pants and tennisshoes where behind the scenes and hustle.

(26:06):
Yeah, I'm gonna wear that duringthe whole movie. Yes, there was
one outfit, that one outfit whereI watched I was like, I've seen
that three and three other movies.I've seen that exact outfit three other movies.
Red shirt, tan jacket, sweatpants. Yeah, and then white socks
and sneakers, dirty sneakers there, not even new sneakers. Dirty, They're

(26:27):
truly there. He was walking aroundParis sightseeing and was like, all right,
a little cord this scene. Yeah, dude goes to wardrobe. I
just going in the closet. Yeah. Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot.
We barely got back to the sidecharacters. Then the last thirty minutes,
oh yeah, the side characters weregone. And then at the very

(26:48):
end of this dirty we start gettingback and I wrote down, where are
all the side characters? Yeah, they're not really important. Yeah, they
were all like our supposed suspect.Yeah, but that's why this is in
a murder mystery. Like, no, everyone kind of has a motive,
but they're not fleshing out any ofthe motive. And then everything in a
murder mystery revolves around characters, likeyou build ensemble pieces where they're through fleshed

(27:11):
out so that you understand this atany moment, it could be anybody,
right, this is just like they'reall in a room away from all the
action that's happening, watching the actionhappen, and it's just boring. It's
so static. Yeah, it's verystrange for everyone to know. Caleb does
a show called Hitchcocktails, which isessentially going over like the murder mystery every
you improvise a murder mystery, well, in a hitchcock in. Yeah,

(27:34):
right, so I do clude includein, sorry and improvised murder mystery in
the style of Agatha Christie. SoI also do hitchcock Taisy as well.
Um, what else does Caleb doaround town? That's it. It's post
pandemic babe, and they had hardchoices. Yeah, but anyway, so

(27:55):
you know you you improvise murder mysteries. Yeah, I love murder mysteries.
Yeah, I really truly love murdermysteries. This is not a murder,
It's like it's an action thriller, right, Like again, what is the
murder? The murder is a guythat we very quickly moved on from.
Yes, nobody cared. No,we barely know him. We were introduced
for a second. I was like, ooh, what a motive, like
you could kill the and then hebecame useless and only just like to set

(28:18):
up a kidnapping plot, which iswhat the movie revolves around, so call
it kidnapping plot too. I willsay that my theory has not been debunked
yet. If anything, I thinkI've been supported because I agree. I
think Adam saying that we've stopped itat a part where a big plot point
is going to happen, even thoughthere is supposed to half an hour left,

(28:41):
So like, I don't know howit feels like, yeah, we're
at a point where it feels likethey're wrapping it up, but we're like,
there's still a half hour on theclock, So what is happening.
The summation scene is definitely happening.Whether it's a faux summation scene or not,
I don't know. Well, Ithink what's happening is they showed up
with new clothes and Jennifer and Sinhas her hair done, and I'm like,

(29:02):
oh, you know what. Ithink they figured out that the guy
kidnapped himself and they're just spending themoney that they got in the briefcase on
themselves. Dumb. They're dumb anddumbering io Us in there. But we
have not seen our main character who'sbeen kidnapped. That is, so that's
pretty suspect, Like, shouldn't suspectsuspect? It's very sect It's just because

(29:30):
it takes place in France, it'svery pretty suspect suspect. That's pale.
Wait, we forgot about the lineyhe called his ball like ball's potato and
we had a discussion about what wasgoing on. I'm not sure that I
agree with that. They visit um. I guess it was he from the

(29:55):
first movie. I don't even rememberthis French guy was a French guy from
the first movie. He's actor, and they like visit him while he's like
at an opera and they're like,um, if we like loosely tie you
up, can you help us liketrace a car? And they do and
then they're like, can we borrowyour car? And he's like, oh
okay, Like my keys are inmy pocket and Adam sand they reach us

(30:18):
and he's like, what's that apotato? We're all like a potato?
What is he? What is hefeeling? He says, is that a
potato or your keys? Oh?Yeah, is that a potato or your
keys? We're all like potatoes? He what is he referring We're like,
is he grabbing the dick? Ishe grabbing the balls? But why do
you think it was keys or apotato? Why wouldn't you just say is

(30:41):
that your dick or keys a potato? Why would you use the Youthhe adam
there not know the difference between potatoesand keys, Like, it's weird,
doesn't make you was using an euphemism. What is it? Is it the
dick or are the balls? Letus know, you guys have a potato

(31:02):
shaped dick. Let us know.We send us a photo. Actually,
we're gonna put up a pole. It's potato, dickstalls or keys to select

(31:22):
those multiple choice and it's just gonnasay potato question mark dick falls keys.
Oh man, it's like a Jeopardyquestion. This item is often mistaken for

(31:44):
keys. What is a potato? This famous historic French character had a penis
shaped like a potato? Whose keys? Sircase? Who is more? Oh

(32:07):
my god, that's funny, that'sfunnier. Once again we laugh more at
this nonsense. This is the shipI lived for. I really like.
It's the moments that are ridiculous thatlike give us the most. It's when
it's middling films were like seventy percentof it. You're like, yes,

(32:28):
like it's so hard, it's sohard. I either want to be bad
or good, but this middle ship'sdry middle But you know what, I
will say, it's not annoying meor it's kind of boring, but like
I'm fine, Yeah, I'm fine. I think I like it more because
Adam seems like he's having a lotof fun. Yeah. Yeah, well
he's with his friends and with Jenniferand I think and their chemistry is very

(32:52):
good. So I just wish itwas in a better film. Yeah.
We're like, you know, theycould do so much better of this.
Yeah, yes, it's so muchbetter. It's so lazy. Yeah,
but at the same time, likethey got so used to it they're kind
of shipping out just yea. Yeah. But this is the problem with Adam
Sandler's It's like, what if RyanJohnson directed this, Like, could you

(33:15):
see Adam Sandler in like an yes? Could so? Could I like in
a in a knives Out story andhave it be have him play a character.
I would see that in a heartbeat. Like it's like that that's the
big the biggest conumber about the showthat we try and dissect is. It's
like, I know that you're capableof more. I know that if you're

(33:37):
in Bryan Johnson. I'm actually likevery intrigued by that, and it would
be like I would love to seewhat Ryan Johnson would do it with Adam
Sandler because I bet he'd get thebest out of him, absolutely, And
it's just like it so frustrating, like if he was even just the stoner
character yeah, oh god, yeah, like even just kind of hanging out
like oh so even though that guydid a fantastic job. Yeah, but

(33:58):
I mean there's a reason, likethe Safty brothers, who's to work with
him? Is it's because like thenhe does Yeah. Well also doesn't Ryan
Johnson have like three more of thoseto make? So yeah, we we
could see more two picture okay, but I don't know if he got an
extension because blass Onion was hugely successful. Yeah. Was that a Netflix film?

(34:19):
Yeah? Same as this. Yes, That's why I'm saying up it's
like four months of each other theyreleased, Yeah, yeah, a murder
mystery film and then another action thrillerthat's called Murder Mystery, you know,
at like tenth the effort, Yes, like it's it feels like it's playing
to different demographics, Like that's justNetflix. Try also imagining Adam Sandler with

(34:42):
Ben wap Blanc, like, oh, I want it so bad. Yeah,
it'd be interesting, Like it wouldn'tand it wouldn't be out of like
place, like if they were liketo, you know, announce the third
cast, if you're for the thirdmovie, and like Adam Standley was thrown
in there amongst like all these othergreat I'm sure like actors that they're able
to Pool. I'd be like, that would be really interesting. And then

(35:02):
they could do Murder Mystery three andthen pull somebody from there. You go,
you'll come in and solve it immediately. This is so stupid. The
entire time, he's just critiquing thefilms. Oh now you're an action star.
All of a sudden, he basicallyis Deadpool. But god, Murder

(35:27):
Mystery three, make it? Doit? Do it? Take that idea?
Hit? Ryan Johnson prisons Murder MysteryStory that English accent American accent.
It's so funny. Oh man,all right, tell you guys ready to
finish up. Let's do it,all right, let's do it now.

(35:47):
We are forever locked up. Togetherthe rest of our lives. I would
never want to be locked in asanybody else are you are getting the helicopter
guy, what the hell are youdoing here? Thank you? Thank you?
Hello, cours or even take myhelicopter, go anywhere. I have

(36:09):
a honeymoon you, dessert and alittle cash. What hash I'm bagging for
real? Oh my gosh. Ohwell yeah that seems to be enough money,
thank you? Just two million?Thosepend only one place? But have
you do spend it all? Justsell the briefcase. It's what three million?

(36:29):
It's dinosaur diasaur. We can't takethis. Come on, yeah,
all right, you know what,we will take this. Thank you.
You to keep busting up small Roger. Oh what's the person you want to
do? I want to kiss you. We have finished watching all of Murder
Mystery. Two thoughts feelings. Itwas a movie that was a movie that

(36:57):
happened. It happened, we did. I'd see some fun parts, some
real fun parts at the end.More Adam Sandler Action Star. Yeah,
still not as good as the carthe terrorist car crash through the city.
No, no, this was thestair fight now, yeah, okay.
At one point Adam Sandler kicks aguy in the shins and he literally doesn't

(37:20):
flip and falls down. It's kindof doesn't make any sense. Well,
it's the best acting by the stuntteam, and Adam Sandler's like old man,
so like the whole person flips around. It made him look real good.
I'm just upset this isn't a murdermystery. No, Like it's an
action film. It's an action filmlike everything. It's an action film with

(37:40):
some murders and a kidnapping, yeah, mostly mostly kidnappings. But like it
felt like I had to come backto like oh and by the way she
did it too, Like it feltlike they had to really ham fist the
mystery aspect of it. So I'mjust like, we'll make a different film
and just like yeah, called murdermystery, even though it's not a mystery

(38:04):
really because like whenever you watch amovie or TV show, you don't know
what's going to happen next, Yeah, and this movie is in that same
vein you don't know what's going tohappen next, and you don't know who
exactly did what, but there's noactual mystery element of it. I don't
think it hits any of those pointsbecause it just becomes an action film.
Yeah, and the moments that youwould be building mystery and suspense and all

(38:28):
that, it just becomes an actionfilm. Can I say this film reminded
me so much of a movie thatRuth and I, my wife and I
watched together for a YouTube channel thatwe do called these two idiots called Shotgun
Wedding. And in Shotgun Wedding,it's a wedding, Jennifer Lopez. I'm

(38:50):
gonna go with Caleb's pronunciations. Itwas kind of in that vein and that
movie All So has a horrific hellicrapthellicrapt helicraft kill. I'm starting to say
helicopter killicraft Literally a person dies viahelicopter and you see it and there's like

(39:14):
blood in that movie crazy, thismovie person killed by helicopter. Nothing really
happens, now, you don't,right, not that I would want to
know. I would say if youif you watch this movie and you liked
it, I think you'd really likeShotgun Wedding, which is another film.
But I think there's actually more meaton the bone in Shotgun Wedding than in
this film. Yeah, we dohave to talk about the one fun part,

(39:38):
the best bit in the best bitin the whole movie, is that
the last forty minutes of this movietakes place in the Eiffel Tower. Yes,
and in the middle of the conflictat like them trying to get a
bomb vest off the Maharajah, thiswoman comes up to the top with a
rose and they're all just like, who are you? And it's Gillian bell

(40:04):
the actress Jillian Belle, and she'slike, I met Gary here ten years
ago. Ye be better than mespeaking it. Maria set the stage perfect,
thank you? Who the hell areyou? I'm Susan. Do you
know what? I have? Noidea? Gary and I met here ten

(40:25):
years ago when I was studying abroad, and we promised that if we still
loved each other and we hadn't foundanyone else, that we would meet halfway
up the Eiffel Tower at midnight tonight. I still love him. Are any
of you? Gary? Put yourhand down, Francisco. The best performance

(40:50):
in the Hope, Yes, honestly, so good. It's like Angela Bassett
and Waconda Forever. You just sawthe scene and you were like, well,
that's the Oscar nominee. There itis. Give it to her.
I think, oscars, are youlistening? I just I would think of
just like seeing this in like somesketch show or something, and they have
like twice as long to give thatmonolone. Yeah, you know, if
if she had even more time tolike let that breathe and slowly, she

(41:14):
became more upset. That joke hadso much That's true of a lot of
jokes in here. We were like, oh, that had so much potential.
Yeah, a lot of jokes havelegs, but they're just like yeah,
next thing. But then what's wildis they incorporate her into um the
like French inspector gets shot and she'slike holding um like a like a you

(41:39):
know, cloth or a bandage tohis wound. But then like they start
to fall in love. Yeah, there's the smoke, the smoke circle,
sexual smoke circles at each other.I almost stopped carding. Yeah, that's
almost stop card. Yeah, butwe've seen a penis go into a next

(42:00):
the problem that's so then it's likeyou know, a stop cart. Now
when you see it, you know, yeah, it's shock you and that
that didn't quite shock and what itis everybody is who is the guy whet.
The French inspector is shot and he'sdown and he's being comforted by Jillian

(42:23):
Bell and they start falling in love. And he's been blowing smoke rings for
part of the movie, play aclipse that they can see it. You
need to really hear these smoke thingsto get the scene. And she starts
smoking and she blows a smoke vaginaand he blows a smoke penis and balls.

(42:45):
Yes, and wait to be clear, she just blows a smoke Oh,
but then it was no consensual saying. He then blows a smoke penis
and smoke balls that goes in insertsinto the Oh yeah, I think I
saw the balls go into the Otwo the whole thing. Would he went

(43:07):
further than balls? Yeah, that'sbaste, deep deep deep bacon. Well
I wrote down, Hey, rememberwe had that potato question mark box.

(43:32):
We solved it. I checked,I did a check mark. It's the
dick. The potato was the patois because she reached into his pants and
they say goes, oh, that'syour penis. Yes, not before there
was a wasted in my pocket. They Adam Sandler went back into his pocket
right before and then no joke washappened, and it was like, oh,

(43:52):
we were really I was wishing foranother potato, yeah, potato,
but then the potato yeah, andthen on the third potato, it's peanuts.
That's a height that stop plugging. That they're back, baby. We

(44:15):
got shows every Monday Saturday. Iwrote down, Adam Sandler is the rock
that's going back to just him punchingpeople and they fly. Yeah, he
just becomes He is dressed like aschlub, but he could just man handle
anybody. There were so many weirdchoices. He also got shot twice and

(44:36):
like painfully shot. It seems liketwice, but they put his shirt.
At the end of the movie,Sandler has a bandage over his arm and
his chest over his shirt, liketaped to his shirt with a blood because
because somebody was like, we needto see he's injured but recovered. Now

(45:00):
what the worst doctor in the world. I don't take a shirt off.
Yeah it'll be fine. No,I'm not even gonna clean under water.
What about this shirt that's already beensoiled from the day, like because it's
supposed to be against my wound. No, I'll just put it. We'll
put a banders on top. Butover there it starts, it'll starts to
smell good, it starts to smellsweet. Oh god. There's just moments

(45:23):
like that where it's just like andthen I don't know about the ending,
it's just weird. It makes weirdchoices. It makes weird choices where you're
suddenly like why, why why'd youdo it that way? Speaking of weird
choices, do we want to talkabout the end? Oh? Yeah,
that's weird. The movie ends inthe weirdest way. One. There's a

(45:44):
guy who keeps saying shits like that'shis character. Yeah again, and he
keeps calling them an Italian or Idon't know. They don't ever specify the
nationality, but he's like yeah.At the beginning, he like helicopter flies
them to the private island. Yeah. And then at the end he just
shows up via scooter, hands thema bag of money and a cell phone,

(46:07):
and then scooters away. Yes,that's what the money is from the
Maharajah. Yes. Wait a second, then this doesn't make any This doesn't
make any fun. Why didn't hejust keep the money? He just run
off of the money. Why didhe give them the money? So we
have to explain the money. Hegives them a bag of money, and
then it's like, take my helicopterwherever you want to go. Yeah,

(46:29):
and then he is flying the helicopter, pulls a gun on them, steals
the money, and then jumps outof the helicopter so over the Parthenon.
Yes, yes, yes, onthe top of it. Yes, he
waited till they got from Paris tothe Grease to rob them. Yes,

(46:50):
yes, he was like I gottado when he didn't even need to rob
them at all. No, hecould have just kept the money when he
had the money, and he couldhave all what the money, he didn't
need to go there. It doesn'tmake any sense. So we're left to
assume also that at the end ofthis film, Adam Sandlerson die in the

(47:12):
helicopter crash above. Yes. Yeah, Murder Mystery three. I'm excited to
figure out. I hope it startsand they just like one line explained that
away. Why had triple clock crosslike that? Why it didn't make any
sense, so stupid, It didn'tmake any sense, so stupid? Why

(47:35):
would he do so stupid? It'sjust like it makes baffling decisions like that
constantly. The whole movie does thewhole movie doesn't make anything. You don't
care that they don't care. Don'tcare. Yeah, I did write down.
This has made me want to seeAdam stand there in a Fast and
the Furious movie, because then itcould be really stupid and he could be

(47:58):
an action star. I'm into it, right, I'm into it. Honestly
at this point, we've watched somuch garbage from him. Any sort of
shift in his career beyond hey,I want to take another fucking vacation to
Hawaii. I'm like, yes,I'm for that. Yes, give that
to me. If you were like, what about you know, Fast and
Furious meets fucking Adam staying there,I'm like, fuck, yeah, what

(48:20):
about Christopher Nolan meets Adam standing there? Yeah? Give it to me,
Like, give it to me,because that's when we see him actually are
like, oh, I gotta givea shit now, Like now I'm gonna
give you the performance you've been waitingfor, like Paul Thomas Anderson, like
it's just like that's the things he'sworked with, amazing director, it's sitting
inside of him. Yes, likethis joy that he could bring everybody,

(48:42):
and you know what, a lotof people they don't even they don't need
that much. They just need this. Yeah, right, if he wasn't
The Fast and the Furious, whatwould it be called and the Furious?
You know it's true. He shoulddo a farts in the Furious movie Adam
Sandler, And it's a parody ofFast and the Furious. Wow, I

(49:06):
would love it. Fast and Furious. Shabberdy, dude, we got to
take a budget, carys Man.We used to be so cool racing cars.
It's that boy keeps getting away.I love my family. Oh man,

(49:36):
take that one. Adam, Iknow you're listening. Does anybody have
anything else they want to say aboutthis? I mean I felt like we've
really talked as much as you can. Yeah, we pretty much have.
No No, I had a lotof fun. Why don't you know?
With you guys, it was fun. It was more enjoyable watching it with

(49:58):
other people. Don't watch this byyourself. Please find someone, be around
somebody. Yeah, so, ifyou have a few chuckles, make yourself
a cocktail, watch a mediocre moviewith fun parts. See how long you
could hold your breath during the movie. Why why you wake up in the
middle of the part? Whoa?Whoa? What's this? Is interesting.

(50:22):
Authorities are recalling Murder Mystery too aftera string of a string of teens to
hold your breath challenge is dangerous.Teens are trying to hold their breath all
of their Murder Mystery too. Wewent through it with tide pods nowadays.

(50:44):
They tried it for Paul Blart too. It was too funny. You can't
hold your breath. You gotta exhalein that movie. So funny Paul Blart
to see it in theaters for somereason. Man, I can't believe they
scored the FDA doing public guy, that's that's ingenius marketing right there. Uh,

(51:04):
Marie, do you want to talkabout Adam Sandler news now? Yes,
so Adam Sandler. We've been begginghim to stop, but America hasn't
because the Kennedy Center just awarded himwith the Mark Twain Award for American Humor
um And there was like a bigceremony that they did. There was like

(51:29):
a broadcast. It was two hourslong. I recorded all of it.
I watched the whole thing. Wow. And here here's my little report.
I got it. We have MarieMaloney in the Sandler field. Now in
the field, what are you hearingon the ground. Okay, so first

(51:53):
of all, the scabbard was rifethroughout the show. People people spoken it,
people commented on it the whole time. Um, it actually was pretty
funny. It opened with an operamanbit and then Adina Menzel like was dressed

(52:15):
as operaman with an operaman chorus behindher, singing an operaman song about his
like career. Wow, it wasreally fun, especially as his wife.
Yes, and it's just like ahuge Broadway star. Yeah. Yeah,

(52:37):
it's just a very good singer.Yeah, that's so connected. It's just
really Yes, it was super fun. Oh so so uh. Codan O'Brien
opened it, and um, thenhe said, so many of his friends
are here because when he's not working, they're not working. Wild. I
loved Conan like flamed Schneider too,Like, it was really fucking funny.

(53:05):
Um. But at one point,so like they kept cutting between the Kennedy
Center ceremony and then like a receptionthey did in La with more of his
friends there, with like in personinterviews of his friends, and they cut
to Conan speaking at that reception andthis was at like a really nice country
club in LA and Sandler's wearing likeway too big. Khaki's like like a

(53:31):
Hawaiian polo shirt and like, uhlike a fleece like a um, I
don't know what's like an arii orlike no, like a like a fuzzy
like shearling fleece from like uh softyeah, from like what's that Patagonia like

(53:53):
a Patagonia yeah, and goes He'slike, I thought we were supposed to
dress nice to this conan colleague. He's like, and Sandler showed up looking
like a Hawaiian detective. I waslike, oh my god, he really
does look like it was so perfect, so damn goddamn good. And then

(54:21):
oh so at the end, Sandlergave like a really nice speech and he
this line from it killed me though, he goes. Dustin Hoffman and al
Pacino wanted to come, but theyhad dinner reservations they couldn't cancel. But
overall it was really sweet. Um. His mom said something. His wife

(54:44):
said something like made a speech.Um. She also had a part in
her speech where she talked about howthey have traveled to a lot of the
locations they like that he films at, because she said, we can't stand
to be apart from each other liketheir whole family goes and I was basically
like, oh my gosh, sheadmit it, Like you admit that these

(55:06):
are vacation movies. We just wantedyou to say it. But it was
really sweet. All of his friendshad really great things today, say,
um, Steve BUSHEMI had like ahilarious speech. It was just really fun
and really sweet and overall, like, I know people are probably annoyed by

(55:27):
how negative we are, but Ifeel like watching this, like his Mark
Twain Award acceptance, was like validationfor like why we love him at the
core of who he is, Likehe's just a funny guy that constantly got
validated at every turn. And eventhough I wouldn't say like he currently makes

(55:51):
amazing art, he does make artthat he loves and he elevates like his
friends and family through it, andthat's really cool. Like he's actually a
really good guy. Yeah at hiscore. Yeah, yeah, I mean
you got to give him props forlike at least taking care of like the
sense of loyalty that he is.Like, yeah, he gets people work.
I mean he really does. Peopledon't deserve it. Yeah, well

(56:15):
yes, but I was gonna sayI was gonna say not even necessarily like
the friends, but like he getsgrips, he gets dps, Like the
dude makes films, and he's essentiallylike can make business whatever he wants,
and he's providing jobs like and probablyto the same cruise that come back because
they know it's going to be achill atmosphere. He's not like, you
know, a tyrant director or produceror anything like that. I'm sure people

(56:37):
have a fine experience with him,Like he seems generally like a pretty good
So for those who get mad atus for ragging on Adam Slandler, it's
like, at the end of theday, we do know he's a really
good guy and we love him,and you know, we just want him
to make great films. Sometimes wewouldn't make a podcast about somebody that we

(57:02):
didn't give a fuck, right, like we're not making well, no,
I guess we did talk about butthat was just a shit on him because
he deserves it. But like, there's a reason why we picked out him
standing there. It's because he couldmake amazing stuff and he does. He
does, you know what, hegives a lot of people a lot of

(57:22):
work, and he gives us friendswork. But also like he has the
opportunity to give somebody like him ashot to grow and be something special who
has a good idea and not justconstantly let his friends make ideas who have
been out of ideas forever and we'renever really that good at ideas. Yeah,
Like, let's bring in some otherpeople. They've made their money.

(57:43):
Alan Covert doesn't need to be onanything anywhere. Oh no, he doesn't.
So I agree. And also Ijust we we want more, yeah,
And I think he might be gettingto a point where he is starting
to get like, find newer, younger talent, give more, yeah,
which is what we were hoping forin um Father the Bride or The Week

(58:06):
of Yes, And there was somenew talent in then and we just didn't
and then Hubie Halloween too, andthen he just kind of fell on the
wayside and we went back to shackor whatever. Do you know where you're
going to put this on your listof Adam Sandler movies? I'm very interested
in this discussion. Yeah, wherecan I ask where Murder Mystery is on
your list? Do we know?Um? So you have Murder Mystery thirty

(58:30):
three out of forty two, andwe do have forty three technically if you
want to throw in shakes the clownin there somewhere. Mum. But so
it's pretty low. It's above youhave an above click, but below Hustle.
I'm gonna slot this at thirty two. Wow, so it'll be better

(58:52):
than Murder Mystery. I thought itwas better than Murder Mystery and better than
Hustle. Oh oh, better thanHustle. Yeah, so a new thirty
two Oh the news. Okay,so it goes, just go with it.
At thirty one the other Yeah, you've you've lumped them, it goes,
just go with it. Murder Mysterytoo, Hustle Murder Mystery so wow,

(59:16):
wow, okay, okay, justslightly better. I could see.
What's what's your argument for being betterthan Hustle. Hustle was just a lot
of montage about you know, threemontages too many. Um, and we
had fun with the potato. Wehad fun, but not as much fun

(59:37):
as the coconut, not as muchone as the coconut. Yeah, we
had fun with potato. We hadfun with Jillian Bell's bit um, we
had fun with the weird action scenes. Yeah, and you don't even remember
a thing about Murder Mystery. Soit's not like yeah, yeah, So
your bottom five stay the same, stay the same from top to bottom,

(59:59):
eight Crazy Nights, Jack and Jill, Grown Ups two, The Do Over,
and last That's My Boy. Yourtop five also stay the same,
going from five to one. TheMerrowitz Stories, Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison,
Uncut Gems, The Wedding Singer Solid. This is a hard one.

(01:00:21):
You had a higher up on,I do. I did have Murder Mystery
at twenty five, just below BedtimeStories and just above the week of you
know, I'm gonna say it's betterthan Sandy Wexler. It's better than the
week of It's This one's a hardone for me. I'm gonna slot this
one just below the original Murder Mysteryand above the week of It's going to

(01:00:46):
be the New twenty six. Okay, wow, so it's above the week
of another Netflix. These are allthe Netflix ones all slapped together. Twenty
four, It's Bedtime Stories, twentyfive, Murder Mystery twenty six, Murder
Mystery two, twenty seven, theweek of twenty eight Sandy Wexler. Those
are all Netflix except for Bedtime Stories. Ever again, yeah, I don't

(01:01:07):
know, I'm gonna say that atleast the first Murder Mystery was a mystery.
This one was fun. I didn'thate it. I'll give it one
star out of five. The weekof and Sanley Wexler, that's what it
starts to get annoying and boring forme. And this wasn't annoying or boring.
I mean, I think I couldeasily flip flop them. I could

(01:01:28):
have Murder Mystery two over Murder Mystery. I would have to rewatch the original
Murder Mystery and I don't want to, so I'm gonna keep it. I'm
gonna keep it below that's fair.Yeah, Caleb, do you have like
a ranking on this one that youlike to give it? Unive it?
What one? Um? I think? For me, I just I enjoyed

(01:01:54):
the first one more, I think, so if I had to rank one
above the other, I would saythat joyed Murder Mystery more, just for
similar reasons, Like I think it'sjust a better murder mystery. Yeah,
it's kind of loosely based off likeDeath on the Nile. I have no
idea what this is loosely based offof, and it just doesn't quite It's
just like a messier film to me. But I also at moments kind of

(01:02:16):
maybe even joined it a little bitmore so. But I just think overall
package, it's it's just not asgood as murder mysteries. I'd probably put
a dash below that one. I'dprobably similarly have like them very closely to
each other. Yeah, probably inthe middle of the pack of my list
of out of five stars, whatwould you give it? And you can
give half stars? Uh yeah,I give it two stars, two stars.

(01:02:38):
It's a two star, just adash like below, like half decent,
you know. Yeah? Oh,and I was wrong about my guests.
It wasn't the guy didn't kidnap himself? You were wrong? Yes,
yes, it was the author.I was way off. Wait what happened?
It was the author, wasn't itthe sister? The sister, well

(01:03:00):
this, but didn't the author alsohelp her? Oh? The host?
I thought they were working together. No, yes, they were working together,
because otherwise, what was he gotmurdered if he didn't do it.
He got murdered via helicopter. Yes, she by Jennifer and she stabbed the
bodyguard, right, yes, thenhe faked his death so that he could

(01:03:23):
collect the ransom. Is that whatI'm to understand? Yes, so Mark
strong Villa. Oh, yes, worked with the sister. Yes, his
sister stabbed. So Mark Strom wason the boat because he's the one who
literally grabbed Vicram or the maharasha whileshe stabbed the bodyguard who then comes in
on the elephant to create the distraction. Yes, then he is on the

(01:03:45):
phone communicating, right, but thenhis plan gets slightly thwarted because he was
supposed to fake his death. Butthen it gets slightly thwarted because Victram's ex
wife tries to intercept the money. That's the bit we were talking about earlier.
And so then he has to likecome out of death to actually retrieve

(01:04:06):
it, right, Yes, andthen he dies via hell cover and then
he dies being dropped in hell thecomplates. That's all we really have to
say about that movie. Does anybodyhave any anything that they'd like to plug?
Any shows? Any any murders, any cocktails? Okay? All right?

(01:04:27):
Nice sega, nice seg wait segthere, smooth smooth sego. Yeah.
I wanted to take a moment tojust say that we can't talked about
it earlier. But I do twoshows with my production company, High Stakes
Productions, and one is a cluedin an improvised murder mystery style of act
Christie at Second City. But Ido another show called Hitchcocktails, which is

(01:04:48):
in the style of Alfred Hitchcock,an improvised stiller. And we have been
performing for eleven years total, butten years at this particular space, Annoyance
in Chicago, and so we're celebratinga ten ye anniversary and so we're super
excited about it. And that's goingto be May nineteenth and twentieth. There's
gonna be a seven thirty show onFriday at ten pm on Friday. Then

(01:05:09):
there's like a cool hotel Hitchcock likeevent that will be having where you can
come and get drinks and go downin the basement and there'll be thrift shops
and like photo opportunities and kind ofa cool little hitchcocky in village that we're
really excited about. So those ticketswill be going on sale soon, but
if you want to check out Hitchcocktailsdot com, we'll post when the tickets

(01:05:30):
go live. But if you're inChicago or coming to Chicago that weekend,
come see it's I've seen it.It's great. So it's a great show.

(01:05:55):
the show notes. Thank you,Mary, Do you have anything No,
I'll put a link to my YouTubechannel in the show notes. I'm just
finished a cartoon called What Astronauts LeeveBehind for Mars. That's a fun that
I did with my buddy Nate Lopez. I also do another podcast called ninety

(01:06:15):
one Donkey Lane, an improvised fantasypodcast that I do with Nate Lopez.
We're started our second season, buteach season's one hundred and one episodes,
so we're oh my god, yeah, Nate made a Nate just like misspoke
and our The thing about our showis like it once it's said, it's
like cannon like. So one timeon our fifth episode, Nate just like

(01:06:36):
as we're improviser, said like,oh yeah, because you know it's our
it's our fifth episode spectacular. Soevery five episodes we have a fifth episode
spectacular. Now that's a lot offun. Yeah, so I'll put that,
I'll put all this stuff in theshow notes. Um. Yeah,
we'll definitely keep an eye out forany new Saidler films, any new Paul

(01:06:57):
Blart films, any new Rob Schneider. Yeah, well we there's Chris rocks
um Netflix special which I have notseen, so maybe it's another. There's
some really really great moments in it, and we enjoyed watching it, but
it does have some like Man,i'd love to you, I'd love to
talk about if you guys want towatch it, we could do a remote

(01:07:19):
episode if you'd like. Yeah, yeah, sounds great. Rob Schneider does
have Daddy Daughter Trip or father daughtertrip or something. It has had a
very limited release. I can't findany information on when it's going to get
goddamn released on streaming or any platform. But as soon as that comes out,
we are definitely going to watch thatone together. Daddy Daughter Trip.

(01:07:41):
Yeah, it's Rob Schneider and hisdaughter who's not l king. Yeah,
there's no way, you know,No, she's she's still she doesn't need
money anymore. No, I thinkshe's a real daughter. Yeah, the
real Rob wife. Yeah, Iknow, not from real Robot. I
don't know. I don't know.I would like a comprehensive research on Rob

(01:08:04):
Schneider's sex patterns. I wouldn't seeyou can do that research at the genealogy.
I hope the pattern is once everymillennia. Wait, should Adam stop?
Should he stop? Oh? Yeah, I forgot about that. Should
Adam Sandler stop? And we onlygo based on the movie right from the

(01:08:27):
movie that we just watched. Butyou know what, I don't I don't
think you should stop based on this. Yeah, I'm I'm okay. If
you want to keep going, that'show that's I'm okay. If you want
to keep going, Adam Sandler,I'm okay. If you want to get
Action Star, okay, Adam SandlerAction Star. Yes, all right,
Adam Sadler Action Star. The firstone obviously was mega, mega hit.

(01:09:00):
It got like something like thirty bazillionstreams. It's opening weekend. At what
point did you decided to make asequel? Was it basically that opening weekend?
Then we get a call, youguys, let's do another We got
a call not long after that.Yeah, it would be nice. I
think it started with it would benice if we did another one. We

(01:09:20):
were like that sounds cool. Yeah, and if there's a great idea,
yeah, you know, especially wentto something that does that. Well,
yeah, tall order to try towe have to have this one match it
or even wanted to be enjoyed asmuch. You have a body count in
this movie? You oh kill someone, maybe even more than one person in

(01:09:43):
this movie? She is this afirst for you? Have you ever killed?
That's a good question, you No, dare you Have I ever killed
anyone in a movie? No?I don't think so. Yeah. No.
In the making and when she wasdoing Polly, she tried to kill
Theywood Hallow Halloween And what's your bodycount? You have killed? Maybe Zohan

(01:10:11):
