According to dictionary definition, the word ‘WORD’ also means to express agreement.

Now imagine the numerous agreements we’ve made with a few careless words we speak or have spoken 🤦‍♀️ LORDHAMERCY.

In this episode, I share a few things and most importantly scriptural affirmations that can encourage us as we start our day to speak well of ourselves, surroundings and everything else connected to us.

Proverbs 18:21 MSG
Words kill, words give life;
they’re either poison or fruit—you choose.

QUOTES

“Words have energy and power with the ability to heal, to hinder, to hurt, to harm, to humiliate, and to humble.”

“Don’t ever diminish the power of words. Words move hearts and hearts move limbs.”

In closing, Proverbs 16:24
Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body.

(00:21):
Hope we had a lovely weekend, and hope we study that our day
will so far as we begin,Let's just say a word of prayer.
Dear Lord, we just want tosay thank you for this day. Thank
you, Father Lord, for yourbase and your mercies for half and you
half protest. We thank you foryour breath that is still in our lungs.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Thank you, Father Lord that

(00:43):
indeed you we won't live and haveour being or God. And without you
we're a national god. Father.Just wanted to pray for this time,
praying for this week as well inthe Mighty name of Jesus Christ and letting
everything into your hand and she perpectwill be done. In the Martin room
of Jesus Christ. I pray,my King for anybody who will take time
to listen. She made less thanof God in Jesus mightaining the finished their

(01:06):
time and the resources in the Mightyname of Jesus, Friends and Father.
Just wanted to bring for any desertedthing to have for themselves over the people
that the love and care for, that you may meet each and everyone of
them with the mighty name of Jesus. I prayed Jehova God, submitting and
committing this entire time, that yourhands have your way, precious for the
spirit. I pray for every wordthat shall come. But it has been

(01:27):
really to have those hards, Jehovah, Gods, I may accomplish that what
you sent it for in the Mightyname of Jesus Christ. A thanksgading and
prison of d I hope we aredoing well. I'm so sorry I didn't
get to record on Wednesday and Fridaylast week. I got so busy heres

(01:51):
and my schedes were just overlapping andI couldn't. I tried to find the
time, but it just didn't work. So but I promise it's consistency.
And thank you so much. Againstthe support of people that are always chacking
to find out what's happening, whyisn't there an upload this week? And
all that, I really really appreciate. So today's opening scripture is coming from

(02:14):
the Wonderful, the Beautiful, thePowerful Sound twenty three and I'm going to
read it from n I sy thebibraries. The Lord is my shepherd.
I like nothing. He makes melie down in green pastures. He leaves
me beside quiet watches. He refreshesmy soul. He guides me along the
right paths, paths for his namesake. Even though I walk through the darkest

(02:37):
valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your
road and your stuff they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in
the presence of my enemies. Youannoyt my head with oil, my cap
over floors. Surely your goodness andyour love will follow me all the days
of my life, and I willdwell in the hearts of the Lord for

(03:00):
ever and ever and ever and evera man. So that is an opening
scripture just to encourage us as wellas starting the day that we have somebody
who pass our back regardless, andhe's always there for us, all the
step of the all the way.Yeah, and he's there for us in

(03:23):
the good times, in the badtimes, whatever that it may be,
he is there. So today's topicis something that well, I just thought
to just share encourage us and encouragemyself to based on a sermon, a
story that I like I got froma sermon that I was listening to by

(03:46):
Pastor Stephanie. I. Stephanie isan executive pastor of one of the branches
of the Potter's House churches, theone the one church headed by Pastatory and
Sir Roberts, And so she waspreaching them. She kind of like diverted
and said talking about how she hasa friend or a lady that she knows

(04:10):
who when she was growing up,her brothers apparently had children outside wedlock,
I think two or three of herbrothers, and so all the children came
to live in their family house, and most of the times the guys were
away and she had to take careof them and all that, and like
every other time, she just feltlike there was too much trouble for her.

(04:31):
And then she would say certain things. And one thing that she said
which led to the story being mentionedin the sermon, was whenever she was
dealing with the children, she wouldshe would make comments like, youtub do
not too hard to deal with.I would never want to have children,

(04:54):
you know. And so the ladygot married. Five years into her marriage,
she was not having babies, andI think she stayed like that for
a long time. And so afterconsistently praying and praying and praying, somebody
like from her church who like praysin the intercensorary group apparently, who prays
with her kind of like asked her. I ask her to like look back

(05:18):
if she's ever said anything regarding likechildbirth or barronness and fruitfulness in that regards
before, prior to her marriage, and she ever said anything against you know,
And then when she sat down andthought about it, she remembered those
comments that she made, and ofcourse she just went a sort God's forgiveness,

(05:38):
prayed about it, and canceled thatword that she had spoken. And
later on, by God's grace, she's happily married, still happily married and
has kids. So I would justlike to remind us about the power of
words. And so my topic todayis just words, just words, and
I think before I can get toreally talk about exactly what we'll be getting

(06:04):
into, I'd just like to readthe definition of a word, because I
think sometimes we get too familiar withthings that maybe we've grown up hearing and
maybe seeing. And if you don'treally know something, you don't know the
meaning of something, you will notreally know either the value or you willn't
know how to deal with it ifI should say. And so the word

(06:28):
word means a single, distinct, meaningful element of speech or writing, used
with others or sometimes alone to forma sentence, and typically showing with the
space on either side when written orprinted. Okay, so that's just one
of the definitions. But there isone definition that caught my attention, which

(06:54):
is an informal definition, but itsays that the word word means or is
used to express agreement. So itis used to express agreement, and it
got me thinking, you know howthe Bible, like the Bible tells us
about the power of words and thepower of either good words that we speak

(07:15):
or the reckless words. So inanything that we say, anything that I
say, there is an element ofme expressing agreement. You know, whatever
that I speak, it's kind oflike me agree either with that thing or
the situation, whatever that it maybe. And so I'll just quickly read,
I'll read. I have like fivequotes here about words that I just

(07:39):
thought I should I should share aswell. That seem to be very significant
for me before we get into readingsome Bible stories. So the first one
is by cush and wisdom, andit says words are free, it's how
you use them that may cost you. Words are free, it's how you
use them that may cost you.The second court is be careful with your

(08:05):
words. Once they are sayed, they can only they can only be forgiven,
not forgotten. Be careful with yourwords once they are said, they
can only be forgiven, not forgotten. And this court is from somebody unknown.
And yeah, I just thought thatthis is really really important to just
remind ourselves that, even especially aswe are starting the day, it's a

(08:28):
new week, it's a new month, happy new month. I forgot about
that. It's just important that we'remindful of the things that we speak.
And with that said, I wouldlike to read from Matthew chapter eight.
We're going to take our first storyMatthew chapter eight, verse one to eight.
And sorry, I read from versefive, not verse one, verse
five to eight. And we knowthe story very well. It's about uh.

(08:52):
It talks about the faith of thecenturion and the Bibaries. Verse five.
When Jesus had entered Capernaum a centurycame to him asking him for help.
Lord, he said, my servantlies at home pera lizafering terribly.
Jesus said to him, shall Icome and heal him? The centurion replied,
Lord, I do not deserve tohave you come under my roof.

(09:13):
But just say the word, andmy servant will be healed. Just say
the word, and my servant willbe healed. And we know that for
sure. Later on, Jesus commendshim for such great faith. You know
that he was able to just askhim for a word because he believed that
that word that he would send wouldsurely bring healing. And so by going
back the definition of word, likethe definition of word which is expressing agreement,

(09:41):
and with that word that he sent, that agreement that he sent,
the servant was healed, you know, And it just got me thinking and
asking myself that is it possible? Is it possible that for most of the
times, it's not because I'm havinga bad day, but because I've spoken
the bad day into being. Youknow, it's not because the weather seems

(10:05):
gloomy and I ended up feeling gloomy, but because but I either feeling gloomy,
sorry, or have I spoken?Have I agreed? Or because it's
very cloudy, it's very it's humid, the too quiet. It's too chilled,
and my emotions just end up gettingmessed up as well. You know
what words am I sending out?And yeah, just moving forward again,

(10:31):
I'm just going to quickly read avery common scripture from Proverbs before we take
our first musical break, Prohabs eighteen, verse twenty one. And I think
we know this one very very well. Or I think I'll take the Proverbs
sixteen twenty fourth first, sorry soProverabs sixteen twenty four, and then the
Bible reads, gracious words are ahoneycomb, sweet to the soul, and

(10:56):
healing to the bones. Gracious wordsare honeycomb, sweet to the soul,
and healing to the bones. Andas we're just started the morning, I'd
just like to remind you probably alreadyout of bed, ready at work,
getting ready for work, maybe gettingready for school, maybe just to start
to day you're probably not doing anythingtoday, Just to be mindful of the
words that you speak. If you'realready spoken something that you that you think

(11:20):
was not right when you just wokeup, It's okay. There's always time
to you know, redeem it.If I should say, there's always time
for you to go back and askfor forgiveness and God can really change everything
for you. So it's just it'sreally really really important, especially that we're
stating a new week. It's anew day, Monday. We've never been

(11:41):
on Monday six June twenty twenty two. It's never happened before. You know,
There's there's been a six June twentynineteen, twenty eighteen, but there's
never been a twenty twenty two.So whatever it is that you're spoken about
this day, whatever it is thatyou've said that, you've declared what you
thought, because at the end ofthe thoughts become things that may may get
to you know, like manifest physically. So whatever it is, if you

(12:03):
haven't done something right, if youhaven't spoken something right into the into the
week, just take the stems. You're gonna take the first musical break and
just pray about it and declare somethingbetter, something good, something great,
Declare something that you really really wantto see and see how God will just
surprise you. So you're gonna takethe first musical break. And this is
You Make Me Brave by Amanda Coldfrom Bethel Music. Be blessed as you

(12:26):

(13:16):

(13:56):

So I will you draw me upon the shore to go race younger?

(14:24):
He said, Away crushes up,crashes You are not a gay champion

(14:48):

(15:15):
man because you have made me brave, You made weber, You called me

(15:35):

(15:58):
Maybe she's a couple the show Juiceyou Grand, the fro season Shop Je

(17:00):
Shop japs up and the way wedrive to crush you spe cross spa for

(17:33):
you off you want another to getJimmy up and moving on. Welcome.

(18:00):
I take the second story from theBible, which is coming from Matthew chapter
nine, verse eighteen to twenty two. This is when Jesus raises the dead
girl and heals the sick woman orthe woman in the Issue of Blood as
we all know her. I'm fromverse eighteen the Bible reads. While he

(18:22):
was saying this, a Senaga glidercame and note before him had said,
my daughter has just died, butcome and put your hand on her,
and she will leave. Jesus gotup and went with him, and so
did his disciples. Just then,a woman who had been subject to bleeding
for twelve years came up behind himand touched the age of his clock.
She said to herself, if Ican only touch his clock, I will

(18:47):
be healed. Those are the wordsthat she had just sent for herself.
She had spoken that she had agreed, she had made agreement with her words
that if only I can touch Iwill have my healing. You know.
The synagogue leader for him, hewanted him to go, but of course

(19:08):
he had spoken that if you come, you know, I know that if
you come and lay your hands onher, she will leave again. You
know, if you come and putyour hand on my daughter, she will
leave again. And the woman theissue of blood said, I just want
to touch. So when both stories, we come to realize that both people
are using words. They're using wordsto accept, to come to agreement with

(19:30):
what they want to see, whichis healing, which I think is something
that is very, very important forus to peek out from, especially with
the aspect of the importance of thewords that we speak. Perhaps eighteen restaurant
one, taking it from the Misticetranslation the Barbaries words skill words give life.
They are either poison or fruit. You choose. Word skill words give

(19:53):
life. They're either poison or fruit. You choose. And I'm going to
take the last three costs that Ihave concerning words, And the first one
is be mindful when it comes toyour words. A string of some that
don't mean much to you may stickwith someone else for a lifetime. That
is from ratual watching. And thenwe have your Hulda Burgh and this reads

(20:18):
words have energy and power, withthe ability to help, to hinder,
to hurt, to harm, tohumiliate, and to humble. And then
the last time from hams are yourself, it says, don't ever diminish the
power of words. Words move hearts, and hearts move lians. Words move
hearts and hearts move leans. Ithink we read from that's proverb sixteen right

(20:42):
where it talks about if you canjust quickly go back there. I feel
like this one kind of relates towhat you read from Proverbs sixteen. Then
just give me a moment to goand look at Proverbs sixteen and just share
it again. Hes Proverabs sixteen twentyfour and it says, gracious honeycomb switch
and so and healing to the bones. You know. So there could be

(21:03):
many of us, you know, many people that we know, or maybe
we ourselves, that feel like weare wake in our lives, that we
can't move, we feel like ourlives that it is just because of the
words that we're spoken into our lives. You know. It's the words that
we have spoken that we have causeparalysis for ourselves. And so it's really
really really important that we mind thewords that we speak. Matthew talk They

(21:26):
seven talks about how we find weget justification or condemnation through the words that
we speak. So words are reallyreally, really, really really important.
In Jamestree six, it talks abouthow the tongue is like fire, and
so whatever that you speak, it'sgoing to bring it's going to hurt somebody
to either set them a blaze forgood or set them a blaze and die.

(21:47):
You know. So back to thereason why we're talking about this today's
just to remind us of the mindureof the words that we're speaking, especially
today, speaking into people's lives, speaking into our situations, speaking into whatever
business career, speaking into our countries, our government, and especially when it
comes to countries and governments. Ithink sometimes it gets so frustrated if I

(22:08):
should say AND's like, no,we're done, and we get to send
all these words and speak certain things, and hey, you know, things
don't end up going the way wewant them to be going. So I
really really hope that we can beintentional. I know for sure that sometimes
yes we air. It's human forus to just you know, speak,

(22:29):
I couldn't how we're feeling. Butthen if you can just be intentional,
even if it slides out of yourmouth, you're able to just take it
back and just say, you knowwhat, God, no, no,
I take it back. I justdeclare this instead. And so I'm just
going to quickly also share a fewthings that I noted down, some declarations.
If I should say that, wecan just go with as we are

(22:52):
starting the day and the week. And the first one, according to first
Johnt Tous twelve, the Bible says, I'll just be catting just a little
bit of it, you know,And it says because your sins have been
forgiven through Jesus Christ. Therefore Iam forgiven. So I am forgiven according
to First June to the twelve. And then according to Hebrews thirteen, verse

(23:14):
five, I am never alone, because it says he himself has said,
I will never desert you, norwill I ever forsake you. I will
never live in nor forsake you.According to Philippines forverse nineteen, God will
meet all my needs all your needs, you know. So the Bible says
God re meet all your needs accordingto his riches in glory. According to
Romans eight, verse one, Iam free from condemnation, for there is

(23:37):
now no condemnation for those who arein Christ Jesus Jeremy twenty ninety eleven.
I have a future of hope, for I know the plans I have for
you, declares the Lord, plansto prosper you and not to harm your,
plans to give you hope and afuture. According to John ten vers.
Twenty eight, I give them eternallife, and they shall never perish.
No one will snatch them out ofmy hand. So you and I

(23:59):
have eternal life according to John tenrest. Twenty eight. According to Second
Corenitian Ciber seventeen. Therefore, ifanyone is in Christ, the new creation
has come. The old is gone, and the new is here. So
regardless of what happened, what youmight have spoken a few seconds minutes ago,
what you did over the weekend, what you said, what you did
not do, what you did notsay, the Bible here says that you

(24:21):
and I are a new creation, according to Romans eight for seventeen. Now,
if we're children, then we areheirs, heirs with God and co
heirs with Christ. If indeed weshare any sufferings in order that we may
also share in His glory. Soyou and I are heirs of God.
So you have to make sure youdeclare to yourself I am an heir of
God. I am an heir ofGod. According to Ephesians, to withstand,

(24:41):
you and I are God's workmanship, for we are His workmanship created in
Christ Jesus for good works, whichGod prepared in advance for us to do.
So it does not matter what's goingon around you. Just prepared you
for good works. Even if youfeel like at this point, I really
don't think it's going so it doesnot matter what you see. The fact

(25:02):
is that God prepared you for goodworks, and so just be intentional about
looking forward and stepping into working inthose good works. According to Physians to
the six and God raised us upwith Christ and seated us with him in
heavenly rooms in Christ Jesus. Soyou and I are sated in heavenly rooms
with Christ Jesus. Is not thegovernment or Zambia, not the government of

(25:23):
Namibia, not the government of Ghana, not the government of Cameroon. Is
we are seated in heavenly realms withChrist Jesus. And then the last time
that I'm going to take is comingfrom Matthew twenty five and thirty four,
and it says, then the KingI will say to those on his right,

(25:44):
come, you who are blessed bymy father, Take your inheritance the
kingdom prepared for his inequation of theworld. So you and I are loved
by God before the creation of theworld. He loved us that much that
he prepared you know for us,great, great, great inheritance that we're
all looking forward to. And sobefore we get to read the last ones

(26:06):
that I'm going to take, let'sjust take the next musical break. And
this is coming from I always forgetto pronounce this case name. But I
think we know this song. Gayblessed that you listen. M okay,
yesterday we had Hawaii rehearsal, butnow we can sing it for real.
Come on, help us sing thissong. Here we go. The Lord

(26:29):
is my chef, right everybody,The Lord is mush. He goes before
me, he goes before, defenderbehind me. Do you defender bed y'all

(26:49):
be practicing. I won't fear filledwith no indy. I'm filled with unnot
thank you Jesus. My cuts overmy cusolver for no woman can harm me,

(27:15):
no webmen canal Jesus. I won'tfit people love God sing halleluya.

(27:36):
I am not alone. He's mycomfort and he always holds me. Say

(27:56):
somebody just shout Jesus. Right there. He always gots me, always got
the bounties about house. Joy isthe fresh joy set. It restores my

(28:23):
soul stores. Say this, whatcomp of this? My singing? Good
nass mercy, give me a sureshure O the house your bloody see oh

(28:53):
phase to phase say shock as youw everybody's saying your spirit your spearingly say

(30:10):
I will walk it will walk inyou again, your spirit, your spearing.
Listen, let me say this myvictory, my ti victory. Say
your spirit stearing this this somehow willwalk you know, say you sho you
spearing little spearing saying say my victorysays o victory. Your spirit says,

(30:47):
say my victory victory were lost spacetree do true's tree had a tree?

(31:11):
Tree times tree tree? Oh here'smy comforts all my time. Halloa sound

(32:46):
by the Honestly, honestly, Ifeel like this song kind of sounds up
everything that has been said in thebeginning. If we didn't hear anything,
find this song and just play itand repeat different to sing it, sing
it and just declare accordingly Amen.So now moving on, I'm still going

(33:06):
to continue with the affirmations because Ireally I am hoping and I'm praying that
we have a good day and wehave a good week. So according to
Physians one, verse five, youand I have been adopted as God's children.
You know, God was kind anddecided that Christ to choose us to
be God's unadopted children. According tosome sixteen verse five, God takes care

(33:28):
of me, He takes care ofyou and I, So it does not
matter people that throw you under thebus, maybe be ble that you to
neglect you, forget you. Godtakes care of you. No, the
lordhap The Lord is all I need. He takes care of me. That's
some sixteen, verse five. Accordingto Romans fifteen, verse seven, we
are accepted. Christ accepted you andI, so you should accept each other.

(33:52):
We should bring glory to God.Ephesians four, Sorry one, verse
four. You and I are blameless. We are blameless. Wake up this
morning as you're going through that theyjust think about this. You're blameless regardless,
for He chose es in him beforethe creation of the world, to
be holy and blameless in his sight. We are able to do this because

(34:15):
it was already predistinct. The worldwas already sent forth and spoken and agreed
upon. So we are able todo these things Philippians three, verse twenty.
But our citizenship is in heaven, and we eagerly await our savior from
there, the Lord Jesus Christ. You and die as citizens of heaven.
According to John fifteen, verse sixteen. Sorry, you did not choose me.

(34:37):
I chose you. So God istrying to remind you one day that,
regardless of what you're thinking, regardlessof your struggles. Relax, she
relaxs. Take it to your peal. It is God who chose you,
and if he did, he hasyou covered. He holds the world in
the palm of his hands. Soyou and I are chosen. According to
s sevent two one, verse twenty, your life is restored, My life

(34:58):
is restored. We are living ares stored life. Amen, somebody.
I'm not going to read completely becausemy time is first running. According to
Phisian six, verse ten, Iam Strongey nine, verse fourteen, I
am wonderfully made. According to Roma'seight, verse thirty five, nothing can
separate me from the love of Christ. Collosians strivestrov, I am chosen by

(35:19):
God, holy and dearly love. And last but not the least Philippians for
verse thirteen, I can do allthings through Christ, who strengthens me.
You and I can do any andeverything through Christ, who is our strength.
So go with these encouragements. Ireally really hope that we can meet
too. As the day is going, as the weekends starting, as you're

(35:42):
planning for things for the year, for the man, I mean, we're
already in the middle of the year, so definitely, whatever it is,
just go with the word. Youcan do all things. You can do
anything, you can do everything, because it is not your strength, but
it is Christ. So thank you, thank you so much for listening.
I hope that you've been blessed beingencouraged. And this is what I had

(36:05):
to share for the day's podcast.Tune in on Wednesday. I promise I'm
