Oh man, Yeah, Ross and I. We had so much
fun last time, so we we we talked about you

and the intro is amazing. You just covered the whole mission.
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
Yeah, you're welcome. We do greatly appreciate you joining us again.
We had a lot of fun last time as well,
and we were honored that you guys were thinking about
us because many times Jimmy will fill me in on
everything that you guys got going on. So it's cool
to watch you from Afar on social media and that stuff.
I know Jimmy gets a little bit deeper into it,
but we're stoked to chat with you all this evening.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:20):
Likewise, Yeah, I got this guy through the movies to
see the movie over Christmas time two years ago.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
Oh really yeah, Abs, So how did you guys? How'd
you guys enjoy it? We weren't, you know, we didn't
have anything to have part of it or whatever, But
how did you guys enjoy it?

Speaker 3 (02:42):
Jim?

Speaker 4 (02:43):
So, I'm going to give you it was a good movie.
As far as it was a good movie, it was
done very well. I know too much exactly, I hear that. Ye,
But for someone like Rich he loved it. He had
no clients. Cool.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
Yeah, man, that's honestly the best answer I've I've heard,
because people that uh just know the story chronologically, you know,
there's a lot of holes in it. Yeah. Yeah, there's
a lot of holes in it and stuff. But what
was cool is that's it was almost you have to
if you experience it, you got to watch like two
or three times with different perspectives. And so we watched

(03:20):
it with Dad. It was really cool because Dad watched it.
He was so impressed with just like the scenery, the
back drop, That's what he was impressed with. As far
as like the storyline, I think he kind of expected
it to be like that, and Sean the director used
like some of his personal experiences, personal stories and stuff

(03:40):
like that, but and still kind of following what what
the van Erck story was or whatever. But honestly, it
did nothing but good for my brother and I give
us exposure that we you know, that we were super
blessed by and it was really beneficial for our careers.
Right during the during our time with it, are we're
already and talks with a W and then the movie

(04:02):
stuff came is just perfect, perfect storm and perfect timing,
and we got to be have a little part in
it towards the end. So I thought that was pretty cool.
It's kind of hard to catch though, you gotta really
gotta really watch it, like it Where's Waldough kind of Yeah.

Speaker 3 (04:15):
Yeah, I'm gonna have to go back and check it out.
But I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was entertained. I'm not
a I'm not a moviegoer. I don't rarely go to
the movies. I've probably been to the movies you can
count on one hand in the last twenty years. So
I was entertained and I even got choked up.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
So dude, man, it was when I tell people about it,
or because it was on United Airlines, we'll tell uh
if we're because you when Ross and I will travel
travel through the airports right now, we have to bring
these belts with us and so there's no way of
really hiding the belt. The belt's freaking on top of
my bag. And so it's a conversation starter for sure,

(04:53):
and uh, we're on United Airlines. And right when we
got on the plane, this lady super out about it,
which was kind of it was kind of cool in
a way, but she was like, where'd you get those
belts from? And we started talking to her and she's like,
I used to watch wrestling, but she's like, I used
to watch the Van Erks before we said anything, and
we're in Dallas, so that's probably why. And she was

(05:15):
she's I watched Von Erics and so my brother and
I were like, yeah, we're Kevin's son, and she freaked out,
and then uh, we started talking about the movie and
everyone on the plane watched the movie. At the beginning
of the flight. It is like a three hour flight and
you go on the screen, I want to use the bathroom,
and there's like it was almost in every single seat.
It was pretty crazy, really was. I know, it's kind

(05:35):
of cool like as you're up and you know, walking
around in the in the plane, you can see people
watching it and yeah, it's pretty cool.

Speaker 3 (05:42):
Mom, Yeah that's gotta be surreal.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
But yeah, that that one sceneed to my uncle Jackie
and the boat dog. That was the one that pretty
much got the whole family because my dad said he
didn't tell anybody that story. That was kind of like
a personal uh memory or like a thing that he
had I never to anybody. That really freaked him out
of Yeah, yeah he was, he was. That was the

(06:06):
one that was the one thing that my dad like,
we all had to get up for that part.

Speaker 3 (06:13):
Well, we're in it. So before we get much further anywhere,
you want the fans to find your social media? Anything
you guys got going on coming up the floor is yours?

Speaker 1 (06:22):
Yeah, man, yeah, we're You can follow us on Instagram,
uh at Ram von Eric, r A. M Ross and Marshall,
and then we're both on Twitter or x at Marshall
von Eric at Ross von Eric and then it's pretty
much we're not huge social media guys. That's why we
share on Instagram, but we're on Facebook too, but that's

(06:43):
just something I get on once a year, or I
just watched them good videos Marketplace or something like that. Yeah, Marketplace,
that's what's it. We have a show on the ranch
coming up. Gosh, I should know the date and Brandon's
gonna kill me Ross. You got it? Ross messages and
stuff up showing Ross Its September, right, I think it's

(07:05):
early September. Weren't cut that part?

Speaker 2 (07:13):
We're live pal?

Speaker 1 (07:16):
So man, I love when a wrestlers cut, mostly in
the eighties when they were doing when they were like
I messed up and like we're live. We can't said video. Yeah,
kim Ra Austin said, yeah, that was so funny, said
cut cut We're live pal. Sid remunds me so much
of myself sometimes I've had so many become the Sid
moments at school and stuff. Gosh. Yeah, she's a cool

(07:41):
guy though.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
Last week talked to you guys.

Speaker 4 (07:44):
You guys were still in Hawaii or getting ready to
make the moves to Texas. You were just finishing up
with MLW. So uh, let's get you a house Texas
treating guys.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
Man. Man, it couldn't be happier. Man, It's like, uh,
we're right, outside of Antonio, which is like a like
a big small city kind of and we're out on
the like in the outskirts a little bit in the country,
so we're still in the hill country. So we got
the a lot of the rivers and a lot of
the beauty and stuff too. So yeah, we couldn't. And

(08:17):
the people here are great. It's already you know, you
know everybody at the gas station, the local, you know,
the places you go into often, all the restaurants and stuff.
So yeah, man, it's like, uh, we're living our dream.
My dad is. My dad's loving it too, so we
got no Yeah, man, you really can't. We really can't
complain because one thing we've realized is just being being

(08:39):
Kevin's sons, is we need to be around water. I
always thought that, yeah, it's just like a it's just
my dad likes water or whatever. But we went when
we first came out here Rosson and now we're gonna
come to Texas regardless when our contracts were up, and
then uh, we contracts were coming to a close, like
a month away, and told Dad, hey, we've we were

(09:00):
getting ready to go and just explaining it, and I
guess he we we've told him a lot of times,
but I don't think it really felt real. But until
we were like, hey, Dad, we're yeah, we gotta we
got a place in three weeks, uh where either gonna
go to DFW area be closer to the airport. And
Dad was like, well, shoot, I'm going with you. And
we thought he was kidding and now he wasn't. And
I'm so happy he came with us, man, because then

(09:22):
Ross and I were like, you know, if Dad's coming,
then let's make it worth it. Because we and Ross
were just gonna get like some little apartment somewhere and
just focus on wrestling. And uh when Dad, my dad
was coming, went Dad to enjoy it. And we know
Dad's got to be by water or just something something
nature natural front. He's got to be outside. And so
we found, uh the spot in San Antonio. Yeah it's hot,

(09:44):
it is hot, all right, but uh we Ross found
this place with the river on it. It's a little family.

Speaker 2 (09:51):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
We got a little family compound kind of like we
had in Hawaii, but uh maybe but there is less
of us because my sister, one of my sisters stayed
down there. But we we started a family business, this
venue business. The Ironwood Barn, and we do wedding events,
we do all kinds of events. We've been doing wrestling
shows and that's something that kind of just organically just happened.

(10:15):
You know, we were going to just do weddings, but
as we became a part of this community down here
in Bernie Man, this this town is. We love this
town so much. It's become home so fast, and just
the crazy support everywhere we go. The people just want
to know what's next. They're just good country folks and
it makes you remember why why we love Texas and

(10:38):
why will always be Texans. And yeah, coming down here
out in the out in the country. And then we
had this a river bed that was dried up when
we got here, and me, Ross and my dad were
sitting there like, man, one day, imagine there's water in
this thing. If there's water in this river, this place
would be perfect. And and we went almost a year
without water. And so me and Ross I went down there,

(11:00):
like literally a month and a half ago. Maybe we
set a we set a prayer, God give us water
because a year without water, for von Eric's too much.
We were we were suffering, was getting so hot and
no water and sure enough, we had a huge, a
lot of a lot of rain came and filled up
our Yeah, it was that big, the big, big flood's

(11:23):
actually kind of scary because we're close to Guadalupe too,
so we didn't weren't sure if we're gonna get affected
in that regard. But yeah, we finally that we filled
up our riverbed and it's not only filled, but it's
the most crystal clear water we've ever seen. It's all
you know, limestone filtered, beautiful water and their springs and stuff.
It just became a whole different place. And my dad,

(11:46):
I've never seen my dad this happy. It really, it's
it's a it's a good time in life.

Speaker 3 (11:51):
Yeah, Texas, Jim, Yeah, fourth, we're back and forth on it.

Speaker 4 (11:58):
Every time we talked to a guest in Texas, they
always pushed me a little bit close. And Richard just
been pushing Texas for a while now, dude.

Speaker 1 (12:05):
Yeah, man, you got to come at least come for
like a month or something, because it's the people that'll
do it to you, man. It just that the people,
the lifestyle and just yeah, how people talk to each other.
Someone told a cool story that they said they're at
the airport and they honked their horn because the car
wouldn't go or something. This lady gets signed that we
don't honk here in Texas, and they really don't. People

(12:27):
don't honk he in Texas. They really It's everyone's conscious
of their neighbor and stuff. Everyone thinks about each other,
just especially here in Bernie. I'm out of gas or
not out of gas a flat tire six months ago.
I was only on the side of the rood for
like twenty minutes, and within fifteen I got prayed for
twice and some dude tried to like, yeah, change my
tire for me. I was like, man, I got it, man.

(12:49):
But it was just crazy. It's crazy how supportive people
are here.

Speaker 4 (12:53):
Yeah, so you mentioned the Ironwood Events Center. Is that
what it's called or is it called the on Eric Ranch.

Speaker 1 (13:01):
The Ironwood Barn? But yeah, everyone called.

Speaker 4 (13:06):
So are you two working together besides being partners in
the ring, are you guys you know, getting stuff together
at the at the ranch as well helping your sister.

Speaker 1 (13:15):
Yes, sir, and getting yelled at by future brides. Yes,
that part's lets less. Doing weddings is a little bit
more intimidating, But wrestling shows throwing wrestling shows together. That's
been We're more hands on on the wrestling show stuff,
but yeah, the wedding stuff, we kind of stepped back
a little bit. Yeah, I mean we'll just you set
up and get the venue ready, yard work all that

(13:36):
creed up, and just get the hell out of there
and don't mess anything up pretty much. Don't fis anybody off.

Speaker 4 (13:42):
Yeah, So Rich and I used to deliver furniture and
we had some epic whisper fights and people's and.

Speaker 2 (13:50):
People living rooms put together and stuff.

Speaker 4 (13:53):
So I'm curious you guys ever ever get into it
or is your pretty level at it?

Speaker 1 (13:59):
Brothers, So, of course whisper that's funny, and use that
whisper lights. But that's the most brothers thing I've ever heard. Yeah, Man,
which we get in the car, would you do yeah,
gritting your teeth and like yeah not here, not here? Yeah,
I know. Yeah. When you're when you're like, uh, annoyed

(14:19):
with your brother and you're like forced to travel with
them and stuff and you're just like staring at the
back of their head and they're doing something annoying, everything
makes you mad, Yeah, exactly. Yeah, but yeah, you can
you can save it. For later from Annoyed with You
and I washed Ross eat something crunchy, Dude, I'm like
that dumbas over there away the side of his dumb face.

Speaker 3 (14:41):
Sounds so familiar. So are the wrestling events? Are they
outside or are they in a barn?

Speaker 4 (14:49):
What?

Speaker 1 (14:49):
What? What goes down with the So we tried one
outside but of course it rained that day and we
hadn't rained in like weeks, but it rained that day.
And so yeah, we've been doing the rest inside now.
But the thing is with the inside shows, we have
to turn people away, but people have been It's crazy
how many people have been showing up and you would think, yeah, yeah,

(15:12):
and it's out. We're out in the country. We're like
deep country and people were It's like a like a
its own niche kind of thing. It's kind of cool.

Speaker 4 (15:20):
Yeah, So running wrestling shows, have you guys done some
stuff that you thought was gonna hit that didn't you
guys learn it?

Speaker 2 (15:28):
Learning the ropes as promoters? Uh?

Speaker 1 (15:31):
Yeah, so we we got we got some good help.
One of our buddies, Brandon Brandon Is he's a promoter
for r c W and he's helped he's helping us
avoid headaches. That we probably would have hit and and
but honestly, we haven't had any bad things yet. Yeah,
it's been going really really well. And but what's cool though,

(15:51):
is it's it's it's not super organized, I guess, but
it's kind of like what makes it our show in
a way. People come and they're they're there. My dad
is literally down there hanging out with the people in
the crowd with them. It's you just get the full
voluntary experience because we have no where to run. You're
you're you're on our feet, you're out like you're on
our property. So you're gonna you're gonna be with us

(16:14):
all day and it's just like it really is just
like a family hangout and you get to watch us
wrestle after. It's it's always been fun and good. It's
always been a great experience.

Speaker 3 (16:24):
So you guys are getting in the ring as well.

Speaker 1 (16:26):
Yeah, yeah, we've uh we've wrestled on every show I think,
or I wrestled on one show you didn't wrestle on. Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (16:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
Brandon from RCW, he's been doing most of the booking
stuff and you know, we don't really have to uh,
you know, think a whole lot about you know, the
creative side of it, which is great. You know, there's
already enough to worry about with like you know, the
vending and all that kind of stuff. Yeah, we're taking
care of more of the venue stuff. Yeah, but you know,

(16:54):
Ross and I have been thinking of doing almost like
not like a super show, but some kind of uh yeah,
just some kind of show of just some Texas independent
wrestlers that caught our eye or just guys that are
hot and independent wrestling right now, and just doing like
a you know, a cool show or just doing some
kind of show because the turnouts have been really impressive

(17:15):
and I just did not expect that, and so we
would uh or we're wondering if we should This should
be something we should lean into because weddings can be seasonal.
You know, it gets so hot up here, it gets
so cold, but you can throw it, you know, a
wrestling show on whenever, and thinking about getting bleachers and
all that stuff and almost building like a little little
things specifically for wrestling, and uh, it's been really quick,

(17:38):
so we can do other events too. We've done some
music too, which was really cool. Mid Way Jennings come
down here. That was really cool. Concerts and stuff. Yeah,
there's been quite a few different kind of things been doing.
And Ross's favorite was Thunder from down Under is chipping
Dale's Australian Chippindal's Dudes, I didn't go to that. Ross
was all about, it's funny how you had that in

(18:00):
the chamber ready to go, so that one hard to forget.
You pretty traumatizing.

Speaker 4 (18:07):
Okay, So how are you guys managing doing doing the
events center, doing the wrestling shows, doing the weddings and
being on the road for aw.

Speaker 1 (18:18):
Man. It's uh, it's yeah, like I mean, it's how
you would expect. It's kind of a it's kind of
a team effort. As far as the wrestling stuff, we
usually kind of booked those like three months in between,
so we have some time. But the weddings can just
pop up whenever. And my sister takes care of a
good portion of that stuff. So a lot of it is,

(18:39):
you know, just whatever's needed, you know, uh, need to
mowse something or clean something or fix something up, you know,
Marshall and or I could hop in and do something
like that. But yeah, it's a big team, the full
like literally the whole families involved, got the nephews and
the nephews running around valleying cars, like we get the

(19:00):
whole family involved, and so it is. It's that's been
really cool. And then we're starting to adventure off into
doing all kinds of events, maybe even school dances and stuff.
We're just kind of getting our feet wet right now
with the whole event or putting on events and stuff.
It's it's been fun though it's been a route I
never thought we would do, you know, putting on events

(19:22):
like this, but it kind of meshes well with our
family we're used to, you know, just crowds booking all
that stuff. It's it feels pretty natural. But Ross and I,
Ross and I too. There's these cabins right by the
venue that we vrbo as well, and those things too,
we're considering of because one of them looks exactly like
my dad's childhood home, you know, growing up, and we're

(19:44):
almost thinking about getting all the members. We have so
much memorabilia, but almost like staging. It as like you're
going back in time and having some almost like a
like a museum of honoring museum or something like that.
But yeah, there's just a I'm not just throwing everything
at you guys. Sorry.

Speaker 3 (20:00):
I would imagine it's you know, you're on the road,
you're doing the wrestling, and that you can probably wear
on you mentally physically, and then you're looking forward to
getting home seeing the family, and then probably the events
probably wear on you mentally and physically and after a while,
like all right, it's time to get back on the road.

Speaker 1 (20:16):
Let's get back in the road, dude, right, Actually, wrestling
is the vacation we just talked about that last trip,
because when we're on the road, I don't have to
like I'm not I'm not really a dad, So it's
kind of cool when we're on the road, I don't
I don't have kids on watching or anything like that,
and so it's uh, Ross and I. We've especially we've
always really enjoyed trips because we knew we've make it

(20:40):
heavy on each other, that knows that one day we're
going to look back and you know, we're gonna wish
we were this age again and and wish we'd enjoy
We've seen my dad so many times that you know,
he he was he'd look at pictures of him in Japan, like, man,
that was yesterday, and he would he would he was
really good at making making us understand that. Listen, like,
life's about moments. This will pass. Enjoy it as much

(21:04):
as you can. You have your brother right now, you're
in your youth, you're in your prime. Enjoy these days.
This is what these are the days you we'll talk about.
And he's done a good job the most of our
understanding and to like to really digest that and understand it.
I think he's done a pretty good job. And so
every time Ross and I are out on the road,
we do try to point out every like, every good,

(21:24):
every good thing that's happening, you know, try to live
in it and absorb it and smell the roses and
all that. I think that's why we're so bad on
social media is we really do want to get as
much as we can out of this life and experience it,
you know, experience its target. We see something cool happen,
it's hard not just whip your phone out and film it,
but sometimes you like to experience it. But yeah, I

(21:45):
think my dad's done a pretty good job at that.
Ross and I really have, especially in the past two
years the movie and all this stuff happening. Wrestling has
been so fun and being a part of a W
has been like just a huge, huge blessing. Man, it
really really has. And Ross and I we we both
felt like we kind of spoke that into existence because

(22:07):
AW wasn't talking to us majority of the time. We
were we uh, we'd be we'd get home from a
trip MLW and go in the yard and we just
knew there was there's gonna be a next chapter. We
just had that guarantee in our hearts. Wouldn't sure exactly
what it was, but we just knew knew that there
was something, something bigger's coming from this. And we started,

(22:29):
you know, talking about AW, and we were moving to
Texas with we had no real like solid game plan,
nothing guaranteed. We just knew we need to be down
here and that's an active phase. We're gonna go down
there and we're gonna give it all we got. And
as soon as we got down here got message from Tony.
It was like almost like it was planned. But we
had been talking for the past five years. Okay, so

(22:50):
after our past three years, after we dought with MLW,
we're going to go either w W a W. And
as the years went on, less the the the w
W thing kind of felt like it didn't make as
much sense for us, and AW made more sense with
where we're at, family, all this stuff, and so right

(23:10):
now this season, we love where we're at. We love AW,
love Tony, every everything has been It's been fun. It's
been a lot of fun. Yeah, man, working with Dustin
two has been great. Yeah, yeah, just yeah, the cool
stuff we've been able to do at Ring of Honor.
You know, we've always like held Ring of Honor in

(23:31):
high regard, just from our time in Japan, like when
we used to watch it in the dojo, and so
you know, now here we are doing it, and not
only that, but we're like the trio's champs. So it's like,
you know, we're just we're living our dream right now.
As goofy as that sounds, it's it's total blaster. Were fun.

Speaker 3 (23:49):
Yeah, man, Well, what's the leg working for Tony Kahan?
How does the what's the Aw's creative direction? How does
it different from other places you guys have wrestled.

Speaker 1 (24:02):
Well, man, it's definitely got to i'd say, on your toe.
Some some people, uh like I get it, like they
like to know exactly what's going on next. I want
to know everything Uh, everything's going on the next month
and all that stuff, and uh, Tony Will Tony, It's
it's it's cool. It's like uh, which is honestly what

(24:23):
I think wrestling of needs is. You don't know what
you're going into and anything can change at any moment,
and uh, I think what's cool is Yeah, some people
might hate that, some people like it. But the reason
I'm I'm starting to like it is because I know
as Tony Will roll with the with the times we're in,
he rolls with the punches, and if something's not working,

(24:47):
he's not going to commit to that. Yeah, and he's
not afraid to change something last second, you know, and
like kind of work on the fly, you know, as
things change or whatever circumstances. And it's kind of cool
to be around it guy the guy, because I've never
been around somebody like this, but literally has like no
fear of like money costs and bad decision.

Speaker 4 (25:08):
You know.

Speaker 1 (25:08):
It's just like kind of does what it is. Yeah,
he follows his heart in a way like uh, like uh,
so our song I guess stranglehold Wed when we first
got there, it was you know, it's so van Eric
the song and so uh you know, he was able
to play it for you know, once or twice and
you know, and our our entrance and then he just

(25:30):
felt it at the time. He's like, yeah, I'm gonna
play it one more time, even though the royalties or whatever.
Oh yeah, he came up to us or whatever and
he's like, ah, what the hell'll do it, you know,
just for that moment. There was our third show there
and we were loving how Stranglehold was getting like reacted to,
and Tony was like, that's a great song. Sorry, guys,
I can't do it anymore. Seventy thousand dollars every time

(25:52):
I play it, right, Oh dude, that's yeah. Don't don't
worry about it. I understood, no problem. Don't pay it
or don't don't play it and give us that money.
We'll take it. But anyways, he was like, yeah, I
can't do it too expensive. And literally we go, we
have our match, we won the belts and right after
Stranghold that comes on right right that guy man. We

(26:16):
got in the back and we're like, what happened. He's like, sorry, guys,
I was just felt it. Yeah, perfect.

Speaker 3 (26:22):
You can't you can't get connection with Ted Nugent down
there in Texas and be like, come on, bro, we're
Texas boys. No man can light up on the royalty
a little bit for THEE to.

Speaker 1 (26:33):
Use that use that card because uh him, I know
him and Ted knew each other back in the day
and I think they did uh he did shows together
or something. They definitely have a relationship. But Stranglehood, Stranglehold
should be our song. I love strangle Man, and when
you try to recreate it, it's it's hard, but can't
beat Stranghold.

Speaker 4 (26:53):
So you mentioned you guys aren't big on social media
because you like to enjoy the moments, and you've got
you guys have had some epic moments with Dustin in
our oh and obviously wrestling in aw What moments kind
of stick out to you.

Speaker 1 (27:11):
First? Man, I would just say probably our just our
first are not our first match. But I think the
night we won the belts in Texas at uh Marshall
Woods said at the arena the arena, yeah, the uh
Sports Life or Esports Arena, the Sports Arena together. Yeah. Yeah,

(27:31):
So yeah, we had like a three or four day
in a row show thing there and then we won
the belt on like day two or three or our
I think it was our last night and it was
eight matches. Yeah, it was, yeah, something like that spread up. Yeah,
it was yeah, we we win the belt. And then
the whole the whole roster come out there. You know,

(27:52):
they're out there and we're thinking the fans and they're
you know, didn't know that was gonna happen. Yeah, yeah,
we didn't know any of that was gonna happen. All
these guys we respect and for so long, you know,
come out there and you know, shake your hands. Yeah man,
And it was just it was really fulfilling and really, dude, Russ,
you know, it's crazy. It's just kind of candid too.
But like all the all the talks we would have
when we would go and like say like yeah, we're

(28:15):
in a lull in our careers, and we would you know, uh,
back on Hawaii, we'd go outside and play past foot
with the football. We just took it back and forth
and just to kind of help each other's minds. You know,
when you're going through something. I'm blessed enough to have
a brother to go through it with, you know, and
it'd be hard to you know, stay hopeful by yourself,
you know, and but having a. It really is the

(28:37):
way God does it was when one's weak, one strong.
It's really it seems like it's always like that stuff
off each other. You know, it's been a huge hope.
And if we're ever both down, it's weird like the
other one just if it feels like it's getting too negative,
the other one will just just be the positive one
because you know you need it. You need it for

(28:58):
the you just need it for the trip. You know,
you don't to be around on trips. It's it's hard
when somebody's going through something and you're we're brothers. We
bury each other's burdens and stuff. When when we go
through real life family stuff like personal stuff. Even if
my brother is hurting, I'm hurting, if if vice versa.
It's just how it is. And but we were you know,
we're in that yard playing pass and there's been days

(29:20):
where we're like man, uh, you know, you go like, yeah,
this is gonna happen, and this is gonna happen, and
we'll keep just giving it everything that we have men
and because we know we're we're honoring our family, that
that's this is like this weird duty. And I've even
prayed like, why is this, Why is this in here?
Why does it feel like I have to there's this

(29:41):
this like the not bad pressure, but this pressure of
doing something in wrestling, like I can't it's not over
and I and I know it, Ross knows it. And
we also feel like there's unfinished business and but I
just don't know exactly what it is. And so staying
on the stand on the horse has been the one
thing we know is the right thing to do. And

(30:03):
then if you, you know, you look at our careers
just from like a highlight perspective, it's okay, it is
moving up, it is you know, it is where we're now.
We're at a major company, and we like the people
we work with. They paired us with a guy like
Dustin Rhode's a guy that's been in the business for
so long, wealth and knowledge and having to learn how
to wrestle six mans, you know, because tag team is

(30:25):
what we've been always done. Japan, we did a lot
of single stuff, but it's been a lot of tag
lately and or a six man and that's been an
adjustment for me especially Uh it's a little difficult, honestly,
but getting used to it with Dustin and Ross like
the fact that I can. I feel like I can
still well, there's places like to grow and get better

(30:46):
in this business and being at aw there's great wrestlers everywhere.
Just to have these relationships and all that. But that
first day, like Ross said, winning the belts, not telling
us that those guys are all going to go meet
us in the ring. It was what the crazy part
is is I promise. I dreamed of that moment so

(31:07):
many times before it happened, and I don't know why,
but I just to make it feel more real. When
when me and Ross were in Hawaiian and didn't really
have a guarantee, didn't have a promise for the future,
and didn't really know what was going to happen. I
see my wife, I see my kids, and I was like, God, please,
please don't let me be a failure. You know there
my kids are right there, and I want to do

(31:29):
I want to show them I did my best with
this life that I had. And so Ross and I
both felt like a duty. We have to go to
Texas when the contracts are up. That's putting our best
foot forward. That's where we're the most valuable when it
comes to wrestling. So we'll just go and I want
to just, yeah, show my son this is what I
did when I was in my prime, and I I
tried my best. I attempted. I at least attempted, because

(31:51):
we all have I mean, I feel like we all do.
But my dad, being so extroverted and entertainer our whole lives,
it's caused Ross and I to it's a lot more
comfortable to take a step back and just let Dad have.
Let Dad have that. That's Dad's thing, and we're his
son's and and I'll never forget when Dad got accepted

(32:11):
in the Hall of Fame, I was I was so
nervous for my dad. Man. I it was my first
like big crowd experience, and I was just like, I
didn't want to I didn't want him to mess up
so bad. It was just I never experienced something like that.
Usually I just don't care. That's Dad, that's he's doing
this thing. But I guess he'd been out for so long.
But when Dad came up and started talking, I remember

(32:32):
his heart was beating so fast, and then I just
got this just like deep respect for him, like how
is he doing that? That's my biggest fear is public
speaking speaking for all these people. What if you said
something done? What if he messes up? I was sitting
there looking at him. My dad rips up the speech
that Vince gave him and didn't even read it. And
Vince even said right before I'm on stage, He's like,

(32:53):
you're gonna read it. I wrote you right, And Dad's like, nah,
I'm good, buddy, ripped it in front of his face,
and Evince is like that, that's the last time you
be on TV for me then, and he's like, great,
didn't want to be here in the first place. It's
kind of funny. And so my dad went out there
and nailed it, did good job, It did good. And

(33:13):
but I remember when he called our names and he
said my boys are here, Ross and Marshall, and I
thought like, okay, Dad just did that. Surely I can
stand up and wave. And I remember I stood up
and just waved, and I turned around and saw the
crowd of people and just got like weak in my
knees and I could never do this. I could remember
thinking that this is this is something I can never do.
And to see now my brother and I are in

(33:36):
those situations with big crowds and all this stuff, and
now it feels comfortable. I feel safe. That's crazy. I
can't believe I feel comfortable in front of big crowds.
And just to see how we've evolved mentally up to
this point and now like both of my my brother
is like he really is one of the because I've
seen my brother, we trained together, and when it comes

(33:57):
to like wrestling, he's one of the I know what
he's capable of. He knows what I'm capable of. And
it's good to have. It's good to have to think
the other one's way better than they, you know, then
they think of themselves. When you have someone that's that
confident in you, it's hard not to like, all right,
I'm gonna I'm gonna do it for him, you know.
It's just it's I couldn't. I probably couldn't wrestle by myself.

(34:18):
I don't know how my dad did it those later
years after the brothers were gone, especially going in it
with brothers like that. That's where the respect really came
in for my dad. As I continue to wrestle and see,
oh gosh, he had I have won, he had four
or five get taken away and he's still But it's
not because he wanted to do it. He had to.

(34:38):
He had to. You know, life goes on, yeah, life, Yeah,
Bill's got to get paid. Life goes on. Babies. Yeah, babies,
he's got babies, He's got And then going back and
seeing the stuff my dad, like, you know, he kept
to himself, but this stuff he tried, He tried to
make ends meet other ways. It just made me love
my dad so much.

Speaker 2 (34:58):
Man.

Speaker 1 (34:58):
He's true. There's truly a such a great example and
a definition of badass. My dad really is doesn't complain
and puts his head down and and he always came
home happy. You know, for us, we never knew we
were going through a hard time. He wouldn't like show us.

Speaker 2 (35:18):
Well, Marshall, I want to go back to something you said.

Speaker 4 (35:21):
I think you might have been reading rich and Ized diary,
because uh, we are the same as as you and Ross,
where when Rich is doing good, I'm kind.

Speaker 2 (35:31):
Of down when he.

Speaker 1 (35:34):
And it like and yang yeah yeah man.

Speaker 2 (35:38):
And like you said, it's just like you.

Speaker 4 (35:40):
Don't know how you'd get through this life without your brother,
and it's it's the same. We might not be in
the same state, but like there's times I'll catch myself
like having a conversation with them, like what I'm going
to about, because yeah, we need to like throw it
off of them, but yeah, I could definitely.

Speaker 1 (35:57):
Brother's a lifeline. Man. You guys, you already know what
the going to say, you know, so you can basically
have a conversation without them being there. Yeah yeah, yeah,
it's like, yeah, I know he would say if I
said this, Yeah yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (36:11):
So you mentioned working with Dustin?

Speaker 4 (36:13):
Has he what is he giving you guys as far
as advice teaking you guys things in the ring, stuff
that you're picking up from him.

Speaker 1 (36:22):
Man, A lot of it. It's just like h believing
in believing ourselves because when we first, uh first got
to aw a lot of it was just being confident
in what we know and what we do and uh
wrestling has evolved quite a bit and stuff. But there's
there's Dustin. You can see that. My brother and I

(36:44):
we love a certain type of wrestling that that old
school style, but not the where you grab a hold
and you take basically it's a headlock for ten minutes
and you work. You know, it's not that kind of
old school but storytelling wrestling. That's what Ross and I
both love and we see, uh, we're like, man, how
can we be different here in a W? And then
we see a W is not many do that? And

(37:06):
so and when they do, it always works. You hear
the crowd, You hear the people when you when you
the difference between a because don't get me wrong, guys
like will Osprey, Keny Omega there they're freaking awesome to
watch and amazing, and but they that to get to
that point, they took a lot of work to get
to that point. And but guys that are not quite

(37:29):
there yet. You listen to their matches and there it's
dead quiet, and you hear ooh ah, you know the
rayact to the moves. But there's something about like that,
just that that wild constant roar of the people are
in it, and the the we we have the people
involved in our matches. We want them to be completely involved,
like the I need them screaming for the comeback. I uh,

(37:53):
I need sympathy when we're selling, you know, we're looking
at them like that that you're You're where we draw
our strengths, and we rather have them be a part
of the show. Then they're just watching a fight, you know.
And and that's the liberties we can take its professional wrestling.
So we're able to do that. And I remember we
were in a match. We're in a match one time
and a guy one of the fans was like, throw

(38:15):
a discus punch and I pointed right, I was like, hell, yeah,
did my discus. I literally listened. He gave him like
my next six moves, and that guy felt part of
the show, you know, for sure. So yeah, that's I
just think that's a that's a cool twist. Yeah. And
as far as like we're just working with Dustin too,
it's somebody at his level, you know, to believe in
us too and see it and just be so certain

(38:36):
of like, oh yeah, you guys are gonna make it.
You guys are gonna be just fine, you know, that
kind of confidence, like it's not even a question. You
guys are you're you're good, you know.

Speaker 4 (38:45):
And uh.

Speaker 1 (38:46):
And as far as advice, you know, it's just classic,
you know, take your time, and you know, just the
advice you would expect somebody who's been around as long
as him. And now now it's pretty much we've we've
heard we've heard good advice, we've heard bad advice, and
that something does and said too is He's like, sometimes, yeah,

(39:07):
sometimes go with your gut. And there's been times where
you're making a match and you feel your gut say
like this won't work, this won't work, and then you
go out there, you go against your gut and do
it anyways and it didn't work, and it's like, damn
what that is my gut understanding wrestling now And it's
just like we're starting to understand how wrestling works and

(39:28):
trusting that because sometimes you'll have a not realize that
the guy you've been wrestling against has only been wrestling
four or five years and he's certain this is gonna
work great or whatever. But it's it takes it, but
it does tip. For as far as wrestler maturity, it
takes you a long time to realize it's not about
cool moves. It's not just about cool moves. You know.
The moves have to mean something. And I remember my

(39:49):
first set of matches throwing power bombs the first three
seconds in Japan, you know, and the wrestler is like, okay,
if you want to, I guess, but didn't make sense.

Speaker 3 (40:00):
Yeah, well, my sources have told me that you guys
might have had a hand in helping Goldberg prepare for
his last match? Is that true?

Speaker 1 (40:12):
Yeah? Yeah, if you would have won, we would have
been bragging more about it.

Speaker 3 (40:16):
But how did that come about? What was that experience
like for y'all?

Speaker 1 (40:23):
Oh man? So yeah, we just happened to move to
Bernie like whatever, just like this was like we knew
we wanted to move into the Texas hill country, so
you know, here we are. We came and then once
we got settled in, like not even knowing, like I
think we knew that Steve Austin lived in this vicinity

(40:45):
years ago, and like, oh, that's a weird coincidence he
lived in Bernie. And then uh so we come here
and get settled in and find out that Bill Goldberg
lives in Bernie, Texas also, oh man, cool. And then
we're doing a uh my dad is doing a like
a some something for the veterans. There's like a celebrity bowling.

(41:08):
Yeah right, and Goldberg was there and then that was
locking and just hit it off immediately, and you know,
he ended up having a lot of respect for my
dad and we instantly hit it off with him, you know,
exchange numbers and stuff, and his son's good. Yeah, our guy.
So we're like we're like big high school football fans,

(41:29):
like we'll our nephew plays obviously, and we're we're like
we're in the like the mecca of high school football.
So we'll go when there's great games like all all
around us, and we just you know, we'll come and
stop by and and uh, we don't miss a good game. Yeah,
Gage Goldberg. So he so like we we had been

(41:49):
like kind of watching him as he's been coming up
before we even move and so we're like, oh cool,
let's go check out a game. Bill was there, you know,
ended up you know, hitting it off with him, and
then ended up, uh we go to one of Gage's
baseball games, and just that was that. That was that
blew our minds. Is we met Goldberg at the bowling thing,

(42:11):
and the fact that he not only knew my dad,
but like with my dad is a huge part of
his like his come up and who he watched and
who he liked and which bleue like freaked us out
because we were Goldberg Marks. I was the one guy
that you know, just like everybody back then, but we
were we we loved him, and so when he uh,

(42:31):
when he was like being respectful of my dad. It
meant so much, and so Ross and I got into it,
like we started kind of got got into his son,
but with with sports, all this stuff working out together
and we built a friendship there. And then Goldberg invites
us to a son's baseball game and we were driving
that night and like, dude, we're going to build goldberg

(42:53):
sons baseball game. This is crazy. This is really as crazy.
And we went and hung out with Bill and his
wife and like it was just what is this? This
is crazy and just hanging out with him, and then
he asked us. He's like, hey, guys, I gotta I
got a return coming up or a turn match. He
told us that way in advance too, so he must
have known about it for a while. And he's like,
I need you boys to get me ready and I

(43:15):
was like, yeah, we'll gladly be your punching bags. And
then you see the guy. The guy shows up about
you know, we start really getting into the training, like
a month out and then Bill starts getting huge dude,
and like it's we're training with him. That dude's a
big He's so big and strong. It's one of those
guys that this accidentally hurts you. He's like it come
your button, grabs you and like cherkesy, like rag dolls

(43:38):
you on accident. He's just so like, like this hard
explain it with a big piece of muscle. But it
was awesome. That was probably one of the coolest parts
of my career is to say that got Bill Goldberg
ready for a retirement match. But we are really pushing
that ad maybe getting him back in that ring man,
because he he looks really good and I've seen him recently.

(44:00):
He looks better than he did when he when he
wrestled gun Through right now. So I was like, man,
you can't be good. I think, yeah, he's more than
capable of doing another at least another run. You know, yeah, man,
if he wanted to, if he wanted to, he could.

Speaker 4 (44:15):
So I'm not going to put words in your mouth,
but are you guys saying he's going to a w
for a sting retirement tour?

Speaker 1 (44:21):
I wish, dude, I would love that that. I mean,
obviously that would be sick. If we knew something. I'm
not good at I'm not that good at lying, So
if we knew something, I'd probably give it away. But
like winking, and stuff. I don't know anything.

Speaker 3 (44:39):
Were going to see him on the ranch?

Speaker 1 (44:41):
Yeah maybe we we We got to do some videos
with him though he wrestles at our show. We got
to go see like the Goldberg garage and everything and
work out at his at his house and his gym
and stuff. So his gym is so awesome. Yeah, this
gym is perfect. It's got this basically muscle cars and
it's just so dude, It's it's awesome. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (45:03):
So obviously you guys grew up with a legend as
a father and in professional wrestling, Kevin Van Eric is
the name that everyone knows, and you guys got to
work with Dustin Rhodes and Goldberg. Have you guys, do
you guys have pinch me moments or is everything kind
of like my dad's.

Speaker 2 (45:21):
Kevin van Eric? This is normal?

Speaker 1 (45:23):
No, we do, man, like remember the thing? Yeah, dude, Yeah,
Indie Show and Scott Hall and Kevin Nash like raised
our hands and x Pox was there and they're all
wearing nWo stuff like that was they accepted us and
I'm like, whoa because we were you know, classic that

(45:44):
demographic of kids that were watching Monday, the Nitro and
raw I love the Indies. That made no sense, but
that was awesome. Yeah, the indies indies is so fun
that the promoters like you guys watching wo growing up, Like,
hell yeah, He's like, y'all want him to come up
there and raise your hands, right dude? You joking?

Speaker 2 (46:02):
Eric?

Speaker 1 (46:04):
Yeah, that was awesome, man. My dad made a funny.
My dad was like, damn, these guys are big. They're
gonna make us look bad. And uh, there's a picture
of all of us holding these other's arms up like that,
and Dad was like, it's in zoom out because my
feet were off the ground.

Speaker 4 (46:21):
So be the r O H Trios champs And we
know you guys are signed to a w How often
are you guys traveling?

Speaker 2 (46:28):
Are you guys going to TV weekly?

Speaker 1 (46:31):
Yeah, we've been for the past couple of weeks. Uh
we have. We had we had a big stint of
time off and I was getting pretty restless. But it
was now I found out Tony told me is because
or because they want to be slow with injury because
I tore my peck, like right when we got signed.
Uh maybe like even though before we got signed, So

(46:53):
it was really sketchy for me. I was a little nervous,
and but it was. It was a great part of
my career. Honestly, now now I see that it was
really important and all that, but it definitely put me
in it, just I wasn't ready for that mentally. Now though,
because of that, any of my friends in wrestling that
are going to be out for a few weeks months

(47:15):
from an injury, I immediately tell them, hey, mentally prepare. Man,
it is testing when you especially when you see your
you know, you see your peers out there wrestling and
the world going on, and you you know, it's especially
when you start feeling better and all that. But the
hardest part for me though is we weren't as signed yet,
so I couldn't wrestle. I couldn't do what I did to.

(47:39):
I couldn't wrestle to to make my money. And so
it was like as time, as time was getting closed
and closer, I was like, man, it's put me in there, geez,
I'm ready, I'm ready, I'm ready. But finally it came.
It came when it exactly when it needed to, and
then made me work harder at our family business and
all that stuff. But yeah, that was that was probably
the most testing time for me, I guess and Ross too,

(48:01):
because Ross completely healthy and can't wrestle, and it was
over something so stupid. I just didn't warm up before
a match. I was so I'm so mad at myself
for even let that happen in the first place.

Speaker 3 (48:13):
Yeah, well, I'm curious what does that sort of stuff
look like in terms of being so busy? How are
you getting your training in and what?

Speaker 4 (48:24):
Like?

Speaker 3 (48:24):
What what does a warm up for that sort of
task look like? What are you guys doing for warm ups?
Are going through things in terms of like how the how,
how you're going to break down the match and that
sort of stuff, or you're doing and that sort of
stuff just.

Speaker 1 (48:41):
To stay in shape for wrestling. And we we are
we live already pretty active lifestyles outside and running around
all the time. But here in San Antonio there's RCW,
which is basically our home independent promotion here and we
they have a place called Hybrid with you know, it's
like it's a little performance center. It's got four rings,

(49:01):
maybe five rings, and weight room and all that stuff.
So if there's like a match coming up, we want
to like nail something down, like timing wise, anything like that.
That's the first place we'll go. But that's what's so
cool is Ross and I have wrestled most of our
careers in Hawaii, being from Hawaii, so all of our
ring time was what you saw us in the match,

(49:23):
like that was our first time back in a ring,
and you know, at whatever. We've had some pretty long
breaks before and they could be scary, but it's uh,
it's it's a good pressure. It's a good pressure. But
now staying in ring ready shape in Texas is way easier.
It's way easier to do it here, And it's just
I feel like we should have probably I felt like

(49:45):
we should have moved down here a lot earlier. But
now I see it happened the perfect time when it
needed to happen because my dad needed those years in
Hawaii and I'm glad we didn't miss them and we
were able to go to Japan. Japan wentn't as big
of a flight, you know, being in Hawaiian stuff. But yeah,
our our we definitely work out different than most people

(50:06):
in the gym. There's been times people will start filming
us because like, what the hell are you guys doing,
and we're doing jump squats and the weird manly explosion stuff,
a lot of a lot of movement kind of things
and not a lot of like bodybuilding. No, no, and
we don't we don't lift super heavy. We have one
weird workout where we hang on a monkey bar and

(50:27):
we have a fifteen pounds ball in our legs and
we throw it to each other. You have to catch
it with your legs and if you're walking by, you're like,
what are they doing? This looks it looks crazy, But
notice that it's done really well with it's like hand
eye coordination, your core and all that stuff. And then
and then most of the stuff we do will go
to failure too, and a lot of people yeah yeah

(50:49):
about that, but yeah, certain things it's good to do.
That Ross realize I have terrible work ethics. We have
to keep wrestling. I mean, he has to keep working
out fun for me or I'll quit crying and go
tell mom.

Speaker 2 (51:05):
Marshall.

Speaker 4 (51:05):
You mentioned, you know, being able to go to the
local school when you guys need to get ready for
a match. Now, this is a total mark question, but
I am very curious wrestling's cosmetic business. You guys obviously
have dates of when when the big show's coming up,
When you need to be prepared. Are you guys getting

(51:26):
dieting down, are you guys getting toned in or is
it like all year around, you guys are making sure
you're TV ready.

Speaker 1 (51:34):
I have to you kind of have to because sometimes
you won't really know until like what's the shortest notice
we've gotten, probably, I think twelve hours was the craziest. Yeah,
so you basically we just it's basically just stay in
shape all the time. Yeah, Well we've we've we've like
settled now, like we were staying in like at one

(51:56):
point we were trying to stay in like optimal shape
eight meals a day, and it is quality of life
was so horrible. It was so eating so much, and
it was just it was just miserable. And so now
now what we do now is just I think is manageable,
especially with having families and stuff. And we we really
don't work out because we've built, we've built, we've built

(52:17):
our bodies where we want them. Now it's just maintaining
and it sounds bad, but that's way less work than
building from ground up, you know. And so now that
we're where our bodies have been to where where we've
wanted them to, we just need like two weeks of
uh of really good uh you know, some good meals.
Working out, we work about two or about three days

(52:38):
a week, sometimes two days a week, but before it
had to been you know, five days and a lot
of guys you see bodybuilders there there six days a week,
seven days a week for five hour, Yeah, five hours.
I think, I think, yeah, maybe we do just have
good genetics, but we need we need these genetics because uh,
because I just can't be in the gym that long.

Speaker 4 (52:57):
We do.

Speaker 1 (52:58):
When we're in there, we aren't playing around. We do
bust our butts. We're definitely the sweatiest people in there.
And all that quick twitch explosion workouts. It's uh, it's
definitely different than what you know, what other other workouts
you see. Yeah, and that way I can eat how
I like to eat. If I know, if I work

(53:18):
out like that, I can eat horrible like I do.

Speaker 4 (53:22):
Yeah, Rich, I could uh pick Ross and Marshall's brain
all day, but we want to be respectful of their time.
Do you have any questions for him before we get
in the final floor?

Speaker 3 (53:33):
No, I was just curious about the training and that
sort of stuff. You know, that sort of stuff always
fascinates me, so I want to They got families and things,
they got to get ready to probably have a wedding.
Maybe you're single.

Speaker 1 (53:49):
Do you do you guys?

Speaker 2 (53:52):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (53:53):
As far as how long have you all been podcasting together?

Speaker 2 (53:56):
Twenty?

Speaker 4 (53:59):
Yeah? What?

Speaker 3 (54:00):
What?

Speaker 1 (54:00):
What sparked that idea? Or whose idea was it?

Speaker 4 (54:04):
So which tat me at any time if I'm out
of turn or I'm not speaking correct, But we are
huge podcast fans to begin with. I think one of
our original bonds was training and when we would drive
to the gym.

Speaker 2 (54:19):
We would listen to podcasts.

Speaker 4 (54:23):
We still do that, and me being the younger brother, Marshall,
I'm not sure if you have this type of relationship
with Ross. But I can't hip Rich to anything. Most
of the stuff I want to hip him to he's
already into before.

Speaker 1 (54:36):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 2 (54:37):
And even even if I do hip him to it,
it's got to be really good.

Speaker 1 (54:45):
Brother, coming at you with new information everything, you know,
as long as I got to make it idea and
make him think that he that he thought of it,
and then he thinks he thinks he told me that.

Speaker 2 (54:58):
Yep, let me.

Speaker 1 (55:00):
You happened twice on the relationship, So.

Speaker 4 (55:04):
We bombed over podcasts and we were always just huge
podcast fans, and then in two well, we tried doing
some stuff online prior to twenty nineteen, but that was
just us pretty much talking on the phone and just
recording it. And then in twenty nineteen, I was going
to school at the University of Colorado, Denver, and there

(55:25):
was a radio station there and I hopped in there
and they said we could podcast, and that's how we started.
And then COVID happened. We had fifty episodes in and
we got kicked out of the radio station, and then
we started on Zoom and we've been doing it pretty
much once a week, maybe three times a week ever since.

Speaker 1 (55:45):
What was the radio station. It was a kind of
nice happening, like a legitimate studio and all that stuff.

Speaker 3 (55:51):
It was amazing. It was so much fun.

Speaker 1 (55:53):
I bet, yeah, no podcast to legitimate studio, Like that's
that's pretty cool.

Speaker 2 (55:59):
You know what it was like?

Speaker 4 (56:00):
It was like being like a freshman in high school
and there's like a cool senior chick that's into you,
and then she graduates and now you have to deal
with all the chicks in your raid.

Speaker 1 (56:10):
Yeah, that's a good way to put it.

Speaker 4 (56:17):
Final four Rich, let's do it all right, Ross Marshall,
are you all coffee drinkers?

Speaker 1 (56:24):
Yes, I got coffee right here.

Speaker 2 (56:26):
How do you brew your coffee and how do you
take it?

Speaker 1 (56:31):
I brew it strong and I take it like a man.
All right. I'm following up with the real I do.
I've been doing cream and sugar for like the past
like months. I need to stop. Ross won't do it.
I do a I use an espresso machine, but but

(56:54):
I mean it makes it makes really good coffee. But
I used the like the biggest like the uh, but
I just refill the pods with my own like special espresso,
and then I'll just stop it way early so it's
like way stronger. And then I'll add like the the
froth and all that kind of stuff too. All you

(57:15):
guys have a really weird science. Yeah yeah, yeah, but yeah,
I like. I like the really really strong contrast with
like the with like the creamy and sweet and all that.
I use half and half and all heavy cream a
little bit sometimes. So I thought he's overdoing it. Black
coffee too. I thought he was just overdoing it because

(57:36):
he makes he'll make my dad coffee every now and then,
and my Dad will will not drink a cup of coffee.
I make him before he drink it every time, and
I just knew Dad likes it with a gross amount
of sugar in it. You put enough sugar in it.
He's down. What changed it is? Dad watched you make
his coffee and he's like, son, you don't put that
with sugar in my coffee, do you? Yeah, you won't

(57:56):
drink it. And he's like, yeah, it's disgusting, so void.
The concussions will do that to you. Yeah, that's that's
Dad's one line he always uses, or he says, the
great thing about having concussions is I can watch a
new movie multiple times. We watch average two hundred times.
It's a new movie every time.

Speaker 3 (58:22):
Gentlemen, do you have any daily practices or rituals you
do on a regular basis to show up as the
strongest version of Ross and Marshall Vaughan Eric.

Speaker 1 (58:31):
M As far as ritual, I don't know, maybe I
like the first thing I think of it in my
head is like, uh, you know, I don't want to
say like affirmations or whatever, but you really have to believe,
you know, you know, I mean, you can get scientific
about it, but it's it's proven that if you attack

(58:55):
the day.

Speaker 4 (58:55):
With a.

Speaker 1 (58:59):
It is true because I mean the attack of the
day with like a positive mindset, believing that you know,
you're working towards who you're made to be and who
you're supposed to be. Then things you know work out
in your favor, you know, and then you know, you
can contrast that with if you start your day thinking that, uh,
this sucks another another day. What what you know, what

(59:23):
a horrible thing awaits me or whatever. Then those kind
of people they you know, meet a lot of you know,
tribulation sometimes, so you know, just I just try to
be we try to be positive, you know, keep it simple. Yeah,
that's that's good. Mind would be uh like you know,
I got like Ross said too, because I some you
can fall into just waking up and wild be if

(59:44):
I know, if I the first thing I do is
with my phone out, I know it's now I know
it's gonna be a bad day because with my kids
and stuff, I like have to be on and uh
not on. But just like I noticed, if I am,
if I'm just a little bit short tempered in the morning,
the morning has such a big like role and how

(01:00:04):
the rest of the day is going to go and
if I'm frustrated or annoyed or whatever. I woke up
and I so lately I've been putting my armor on.
The armor. Uh yeah, I call it armor, armor of God,
the breastplate of righteous and a shield of faith all that.
That's been the game changer for me. And when Ross
and are together we used to do like uh done.
It hasn't been traveling so much, but like little briefings

(01:00:26):
call each other and put armor on and I talk
to each other about the week, and then it helps.

Speaker 3 (01:00:33):
Yeah, I like it right to use that. We're gonna
have to We're gonna have to use the armor. Yeah,
Sunday conversations for sure.

Speaker 1 (01:00:42):
Yeah. Yeah, you know when the attacks coming, dude, it
comes out of nowhere some time, dude. Mine. I was
telling my wife about this morning. I say, hey, we
should you wanna do you want to do it with me?
Put the armor on? And you're like yeah sure. Like literally,
right when we're about to like say the little prayer,
my son Archie comes in and I just scream on
top of his lung through his big brother threw something

(01:01:04):
in his back and so he broke scary. Yeah, yeah,
it was like, okay, we got to do this, we
got to do this, and then right after it pretty
much you can expect like clockwork, like okay, now something
that is gonna appear completely contrary to what we just yeah,
is gonna present itself. And just know that's just part

(01:01:26):
of it. That's just yeah, part of the test, you know.
And then you beat that and then you're pretty much golden.
It's like sets of tone for rest to day. But
when I'm getting rocked to and fro getting thrown by
the waves, then it's one of those days. It's my
family is not short behind me, and uh I actually
doing lately, Coral, my wife has actually been pretty tough.
I don't think that past a couple of mornings, especially

(01:01:48):
because we've been traveling so much. A lot of pressure
has been on her. Not pressure, but with the kids
and all that stuff and my son Archie. I have
a my youngest son, Archie is actually autistic, and so
he can be a handful. You know, you can get
set off and scream and cry and all that stuff.
But she she's been it's he can be so hard

(01:02:10):
sometimes where it's made it to the point where like
we almost don't get affected by this stuff that would
you usually would bother us a lot. So I'm actually
surprised with what I can take now. Like it sounds
as far as like just noise. I can ignore any
loud noise almost while I'm doing something. It's pretty impressed.
I mean, I've impressed myself.

Speaker 2 (01:02:30):
That's a superpower.

Speaker 1 (01:02:31):
Yeah, yeah, sure.

Speaker 2 (01:02:34):
What are you all listening to right now?

Speaker 1 (01:02:36):
Music?

Speaker 2 (01:02:36):
Podcast, audio books? Are you reading anything?

Speaker 1 (01:02:39):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (01:02:40):
Man?

Speaker 1 (01:02:40):
Okay, man, I love audio books, and just as far
as like the frequencies and stuff, I listened to a
lot of classical like in the past, like probably like
probably like six months, I've just been into classical music
and four thirty two Hurts and just a lot of that.
And yeah, just a lot of frequency stuff, not not

(01:03:02):
not music a whole lot, because it's a lot of
music is just garbage, I think. But yeah, yeah, I'm
into the frequency cake right now.

Speaker 4 (01:03:10):
So well, thank you for the reminder, because there was
a period of time where I was heavy on the
frequencies and I'll still listen to them, but not as
much as I used to.

Speaker 1 (01:03:19):
Yeah, same here, man, I got to get back into
those cool Yeah, I didn't know you can listen. Yeah,
but like your you can listen to your favorite song
pretty much every song in four thirty two. I thought
that was super cool. But then I hear there's like
other frequencies that do other things, and so I want
to learn more about it too, because let's not let's
not even go back into five eight. This is a tune, dude, Okay,

(01:03:44):
whips it out right there. That's freaking cool. Yeah, that
was awesome again, dude, Yeah, you know, and uh, you know,
let's not. Let's I'll try not to go down like
to conspiracy. But like you look at old world architecture
and stuff, and a lot of like the windows and
stuff appear like, you know, the cimatic frequencies, you know,

(01:04:05):
a lot like a lot of those frequencies look like
you know, those windows, like those stained glass. So you
strike me as a mud flood guy.

Speaker 2 (01:04:14):
They remember Rich, We talked.

Speaker 1 (01:04:21):
To you guys. We got so into that and then
we went to Chicago.

Speaker 3 (01:04:25):
Yeahground, look at the windows.

Speaker 1 (01:04:29):
Yeah there's still mud stains. First and Buggie people built
all these underground tunnels with no power tool as well.
I believe you know it didn't help, is when that
big flood did come through and you saw how much
like ground got moved from destructive. It was like, dang, dude,
you can like you can uh like that stuff can

(01:04:50):
get covered that fast. Like Yeah, that was crazy and
I forgot about this last time too. It was so
much fun. We're gonna have to do another episode where
we just talk about all kinds of off the off
the record stuff. Yeah, definitely do that by the time
that the true Varneric fans know how weird we really are.

Speaker 3 (01:05:11):
Yeah, the gentleman. Last one we got for you. It's
a lighthearted one. Close it out. Maybe it's a food item,
something unique down there in Bernie, Texas. Maybe it's a beverage.
Do you have a guilty pleasure?

Speaker 1 (01:05:27):
Oh? Okays, And lately I've been into a tight tea.
It's so good this place by my house. I don't
know if you're into like far or thy food, but yeah,
the Ta Ti. They make it with coconut cream and
a little bit of coconut water. So just man, it's

(01:05:47):
a it's like been I get one every single.

Speaker 3 (01:05:50):
Time I pass it now, So they're like orange right,
yeah exactly, Yeah, Yeah, those are bomb.

Speaker 1 (01:05:55):
They're so good, man. I thought say something cool anyways,
no matter something like that, I gotta have a cool response.
Nothing in the chamber right now, guilty pleasure. This is honestly,
when I say something that that I regret, I'm under

(01:06:20):
Thank God for you too. I can just watch those
guys in a row. Oh man, that's a good one. Probably.
Uh it's the boring truth that it's all kinds of
sweets and kid food. Go ahead, I love candy. That's
been a big battle of mye I actually do now,
though now my body doesn't. I'm just now like I

(01:06:43):
can't eat anything or I can't eat whatever I want
ice cream like two am like back to back, and
it messed me up for like ten days. It was
crazy eight days. I couldn't believe that. I was like, geez,
now that I'm back to normal, like I'm so happy,
I don't want to go back. But maybe uh now VR,

(01:07:05):
I love VR. Okay, all right, Well.

Speaker 3 (01:07:09):
You should look into sugar fasting. Mark Bell's been talking
a lot about sugar fasting lately, so that might maybe.

Speaker 1 (01:07:17):
It might be something I have to look into because
I didn't realize how much sugar is in my life.

Speaker 3 (01:07:22):
Like everything. This is like something where at certain times
certain days you're you're only consuming sugar. Yeah, man, so
check it out it okay, said it's for you?

Speaker 1 (01:07:35):
What what was what was the guy's name?

Speaker 3 (01:07:37):
Mark Bell?

Speaker 1 (01:07:38):
Mark Bella right there? When you say bell, it's another conspiracy.
We get into, man, where all the bells att they
destroyed them right for the war to make cannonballs or something?
Is that?

Speaker 3 (01:07:49):
What the So then you could get into the whole
thing that all the world wars were to destroy the history.

Speaker 1 (01:07:56):
Please, let's let's even if it's not a podcast, let's
really just have I want to talk to you guys
for real.

Speaker 2 (01:08:01):
Well, yeah, here's it. Here's a ps.

Speaker 4 (01:08:04):
If you guys don't have any anywhere to go right now?
What conspiracies are you guys diving into right now?

Speaker 1 (01:08:11):
Oh? Man? Okay, basically creep anybody out. I'm obsessed with
old world stuff and and honestly, the timelines out like
how do they build all these things? And if you
look at it one year and everybody who built it
won a contest to be the one to you know,
its just stuff like that. I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:08:31):
Do you check out my lunch break on YouTube?

Speaker 1 (01:08:34):
That's exactly what I check out. Yeah, I love what
is that. How did John Marshall my lunch break? Check
it out? It's my lunch break.

Speaker 3 (01:08:43):
Okay, do you check out John Levi too? No, I
don't check out John Levi e V j O N
L E v I Okay, okay.

Speaker 1 (01:08:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:08:54):
He does a lot of the the Old World Tataria
stuff and just finding things that he uses a lot
of Google Earth and breaks down different things. But they're
like every Sunday anywhere from twenty to twenty five minutes.
It's like my Sunday ritual. I get my coffee and
I down and drop up on my job.

Speaker 1 (01:09:17):
Okay. I think it's like one of those dimension things
where they're just us in the future and telling us
what you get into.

Speaker 4 (01:09:23):
This is cool.

Speaker 1 (01:09:25):
You guys are us how many years a part of y'all?

Speaker 3 (01:09:28):
Eleven man?

Speaker 1 (01:09:29):
That's that's cool too. I think that's uh because I
was talking to Dustin and Cody about that, Like Dustin's say, yeah,
it's difficult because we're so far apart in age or whatever.
But I think that's cool because when you're closer in age,
you're like, he didn't know more than me. You lived
the same amount of life, you know, But when your
brother just got age on you. It's like, Okay, it's
definitely he's got my best interest. He's got yeah, yeah

(01:09:50):
you hear that, Jim, Yeah, some of that stuff. Now,
you guys don't look eleven years eleven years apart. Yeah,
either you look really young or somebody looks great, or
somebody looks really bad.

Speaker 4 (01:10:06):
I guess that looks bad. Rich, you got that hair though, Marshall,
thank you so much.

Speaker 2 (01:10:14):
Thanks j R. For getting you guys on the show again.

Speaker 4 (01:10:19):
Anytime you guys need a guest on the call pod
and you want to talk conspiracies, hit the area, bros
up dude.

Speaker 2 (01:10:26):
Yeah, until then, you guys do.

Speaker 1 (01:10:29):
That freak our co host out Anthony Anthy's pretty straight
lazy guy. That really funny it starts, but keep up the.

Speaker 2 (01:10:38):
Great work, guys.

Speaker 4 (01:10:38):
It's awesome watching you guys and following you guys and
just being able to chat with you guys.

Speaker 1 (01:10:44):
Thank you so much, No, dude, thank you for having
us on. Both of you. Yeah, Rich, Jimmy I, I,
we appreciate it. And talking to you guys like you.
It shows us that like uh that you know that
wrestling fans out there, they're just in you and cool
people and just it's just encouraging. It's couraging to know
that people like you or watching it and getting anything

(01:11:07):
out of it is insane.

Speaker 4 (01:11:08):
Man.

Speaker 1 (01:11:09):
Yeah, just thank you for watching our journey and more.
We know there's a lot more to come, and uh yeah,
yeah man, we want to. I feel like we need
to do an interview with you guys every every stage,
you know, as the stages go on, we'll.

Speaker 2 (01:11:23):
Be here, gentlemen.

Speaker 3 (01:11:24):
We're here for it. So we wish you guys the
best of luck. And it's exciting to watch and exciting
to follow. And yeah, hopefully we'll do this sooner than

I’m Jay Shetty host of On Purpose the worlds #1 Mental Health podcast and I’m so grateful you found us. I started this podcast 5 years ago to invite you into conversations and workshops that are designed to help make you happier, healthier and more healed. I believe that when you (yes you) feel seen, heard and understood you’re able to deal with relationship struggles, work challenges and life’s ups and downs with more ease and grace. I interview experts, celebrities, thought leaders and athletes so that we can grow our mindset, build better habits and uncover a side of them we’ve never seen before.
