Speaker 1 (00:00):
So first, let's dig it off. Oh no, no, no, cue,
You'll never guess so sidebar. Yes. And also I feel
like I shouldn't have to remember everything. I know, Actually
I have to talk about this. Three two one, Hi everyone. Hey,
I'm Alicia and I'm Meredith. And this is also podcasts,

(00:22):
a podcast we do where I'm going to complain about
a bunch of things. That's what this podcast is. I have,
it's the whole podcast, but specifically this fucking episode I
am with Meredith. And the worst part is we can't
talk about it because we have to save it for
this podcast. So, like, I know, I haven't. I feel

(00:43):
like I've been waiting to explode and it's gonna.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
Have to hold it in. Yeah, and it's been two weeks.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
It's been two weeks because I was in here last week.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
I know we missed you so much, did you?

Speaker 1 (00:55):
Because Jill did amazing, Jill did fanastic Jill anytime, let
me know. Because I refuse to record on vacation.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
That's totally fine.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
It's so awkward. It's so awkward. Anyway, No, Jill did
a great job. I listened for once. It was so
much easier listening to someone else instead of me, although
I did kind of have fomo okay.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
As Alisha just mentioned, she was on vacation.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
If you want to hear about that vacation and my trip,
that's in a bonus episode on Patreon.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
I did a Patreon about it. It was pretty exciting.
It wasn't it was, though, I was. I've been taking I.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
Stitched in the TikTok clip that you talked about in
the Oh, that's great.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
I was, though. I have been taking news stories for
two weeks now because I have news to talk about.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
It's just cot.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
But before we get to the news, we have an Instagram,
a TikTok, YouTube of Patreon. All the links are in
her description. Check us out. Also, please be sure to rate, review, subscribe.
It really helps the podcast. Any Way, Before we get
into news, we have to do small celebrations. Meredith, what's
your small celebration for the week.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
The heat is finally going away, and I'm getting the
best weather. I'm getting that like high seventies, Like it's
not humid anymore. Like I just want to be able
to go outside without profusely sweating from the first step outside.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
I love whenever it's so nice like this.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
White people suck because white people never like the humidity
or the heat. I love it as brown.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
What why would anybody like the humidity? You just sweat
so much.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
Guatemala is on that equator, and let me tell you,
I love heat.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
I don't like some humidity, but like my eighty five
percent humidity is obscene. Whenever the corn sweats are popping
off in the Midwest.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
I'll do it. I won't. The humidity has never stopped
me from going outside.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
Not I don't stop, but like, I'm not going to
go for a lot like I because it's going to
be so I want to go for like a ten mile.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Walk this weekend.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
Oh that'd be fun.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
Yeah, but like I won't do that in eighty five
percent humidity.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
I love. I love the hotter, the better I love it.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
What about you? And it better not be humidity.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
It's actually kind of similar. So this this weekend, we
also have like a very nice weekend coming where it's
not gonna be that hot. However, I feel like I
missed all of summer in New York because every week
weekend it rains. So I'm gey fucking inside and like,
sure I can go out, but it's always fucking rainy.
So uh Wednesa. This Wednesday was the last hot, hot, hot,

(03:40):
hot ninety something degree day, and I was like, before
it rains, which is raining now. But I was like,
oh my god, I'm going to work from home and
I'm going to blackout an hour on my calendar. I'm
going to go to my roof and I'm gonna tian
and I'm gonna sweat my little butt off. So I
got a little tan line going. It's not good. I like,
I can get way darker.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
Than this one.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Yeah, I just haven't gotten the chance because it's always
raining and then I work. I get it in summer fridays,
which that sucks. So this I did. My celebration was
I was baking in the sun, and I know tanning's
not good for you. I don't want to fucking hear it.
I wear SPF seventy five and I can still get
very very crisp, and I.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
For you, it's doing it. It's about doing it the
right way.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
I will bake outside all day if I have the time.
I all love it.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
I'm excited.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
We're getting a high UV this weekend too, and I
cannot wait to Like that's why I want to go
for a ten mile walk.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
I'm like, let me exercise and get a tan on.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
Oh, let me get so fucking tan I was changing
my bathing suit and I was just up there just
like like soaked it all in. Yes, yeah, okay, can
we jump to news? There's so much news I'm crashing out. Yes,
it's like, okay, we're gonna start small, I think, and
we'll get larger and then we'll end on a good note.
Does that work?

Speaker 2 (05:00):
I desperately need that.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
Did you see Sydney Sweeney's Jean campaign and America Fagel?

Speaker 2 (05:06):
How could I miss it? I mean, that's somebody who
works in advertising. I think this was done on purpose.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
You do, because how do you fuck this up? This bad?

Speaker 3 (05:17):
You're saying, yeah, there's not that much distance between people's
decisions and backlash these days, Like you know.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Yeah, I thought it was just like I don't know
if they fucked up, but they should maybe like stop
releasing shit. But it seems like they've doubled down and continued.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
I will say I forgot that this like gives credit
to anything. But once you start a campaign like it,
it's so much money invested into it. Unless it is
really bad, which I think this is bad, but like
remember the Kendall Jenner like pepsid.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
Day really bad.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
Yeah, like this is this is inappropriate, but they're going
to keep rolling with this stuff.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
This is the art of their campaign. Like we've got
three months of this stuff.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
Yeah, it's terrifying. And also I am actually a huge
fan of American Eagle jeans, And now I have to
sway because it's just this may seem irrational and like whatever,
but I can't. I need to mentally on the spare
companies that align with me.

Speaker 3 (06:19):
So I just stop calling like your outrage and frustration
with people for valid reasons irrational, because it's not irrational.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
I think I've hung out with my parents for too
long where they're like, that's a little crazy, Alicia, and
I'm like it's not, though, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
But having a feeling about a company is not irrational.
We get to like our views on people's pages, our
money to companies pockets and even like personal people's pockets.
That's how we use our voice in the highest way.
So like shopping somewhere shows what I value and maybe
other people don't look at it like that, but you

(06:55):
and I do, So that's not irrational.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
You're right, You're right, it's not. I may say it
again at some point, just call me out on it.
But yeah, so I can't shot there anymore. And then
Sidney Sweeney I saw, did a video where she's like,
people are really mean, and I'm like, yeah, are you kidding?

Speaker 3 (07:13):
I'm gonna like you aligned yourself with a very inappropriate
message and now you're like, oh my god, I can't
believe people are saying anything about me. What about what
like the horrible things people say to people of color
every single day?

Speaker 1 (07:25):
What about looking straight into a camera and going, my
jeans are the best. It's been passed. My blue jean,
blue jeans, My blonde, blue eyed jeans are the best.
Let's just so on this.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
Have you seen that people are comparing this to a
Ralph Lauren ad where they featured the like black African
American community from like Martha's Vineyard. They did like a
messaging with Dad, and it's like, because Ralp Lauren is
very like classic Americana, you know type messaging, and so
like their ad is about always it called Oak Brooke.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
Oh frick.

Speaker 3 (08:01):
We just I should know this because we watched Summerhouse
Martha's Vineyard. I'm gonna ruin this now, but like that
side of the Martha's Vineyard and people are like, see,
like they can do a video and like, why is
it not this, Like why are they getting.

Speaker 1 (08:17):
Oh, oh, what's it in the bluffs something?

Speaker 2 (08:22):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (08:23):
Yes, yes, but you know they like see they can
do that, but like, why is Sidney Sweeney getting backlash?
And it's like celebrating somebody's culture is not the same
as saying you have good genes. And it's just a
white person being shown because this message want to be bad.
If you had people of color, people of different you.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
Know, they even get like a fat white person, it
had to be like a hot, skinny white person.

Speaker 3 (08:51):
Yes, And she always is like, wow, people sexualize me.
And it's like you do that, You're openly and like
willingly participate in things that's sexual.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
You know.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
I had already cast her out after going to Jeff
Bezos's wedding, but now I'm married her out on her ass.
Yeah goodbye, not someone else support anyway. Other news Jackson's,
Jackson's Bar, Jaxon's is closing.

Speaker 3 (09:16):
Are we I I saw a video today or like
on TikTok and it was of Jack standing there while
the sign was being taken down, and Sony was like,
you know, that's going straight into his townhouse.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
Like Justice for Jacks is just going to respond and
be like, look how sad this man is. Look what
you've done. He has to pick himself up by the
bootstraps and come back.

Speaker 3 (09:40):
I've got his exit from the Valley. I'm like, thank god,
we're done with him, but there's still so much more
Bravo needs to do.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
In my opinion, it's honestly like those so crazy that,
like I'm Vanderpump Rules, there was a crazy scandal that
ended in a breakup and then their restaurant and shut down,
And now on The Valley there's a crazy scandal that
happens with a breakup and his restaurant gets shut down.
It's just like kind of crazy, how like you think

(10:07):
he would have learned?

Speaker 2 (10:09):
Like I am Alicia.

Speaker 3 (10:10):
This whole week, I've been thinking about that clip from
season one of The Valley where Tom Schwartz is like
and soon you're gonna be divorced.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
And like living with me on my couch.

Speaker 3 (10:21):
Yeah, and he's like, don't say that, and it's like
it all came true, like this, we had twenty twenty
vision on the future of like what could happen to Jackson,
and everything happened that everybody said would like he's.

Speaker 2 (10:32):
A horrible human being. Of course your bar is gonna
like shut down.

Speaker 1 (10:36):
It's actually depressing because I like kind of wish something
had gone different, so I could have been surprised. Honestly,
I just like Scandabal was so surprising.

Speaker 2 (10:48):
Yeah, this was like, thank god it finally happened.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
We already kind of saw it. It was literally a mirror,
just a different show with the same fucking people, so like,
at the end of the day, were not surprised. It's
very funny. I just caught up on the Valley actually
today and I was like, this, dude, my god, I
don't know how he's made it this far as like
an adult.

Speaker 3 (11:11):
Alex Baskin, the executive executive producer of the show, like
loves everybody's calling for him to be fired, and I agree.
The fact that Brittany was thrown into a rose bush
and that wasn't even mentioned on the show, and they
actually like, yeah, the rehab after that fight or he
like clear domestic abuse and they're like, you know what,

(11:32):
how about you go.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
To a mental health facility and like simmeredown over there
for a little bit.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
I actually still think that we because the valley was
so good. I think we overlooked the overarching issue of like,
these people got kicked off of vander Pump rules for
a reason, and you're just gonna bring them back, And
like I said, I thought it, and then I went,
but the Valley's really good, and I'm disappointed in myself.
I was even like, it's fine if they give a

(12:00):
good TV. But it's not. He's a shitty ass person
and we shouldn't have overlooked it. And now we know,
and whoever brought him back Alex probably should be fired.
And that's yeah. Anyway, On a.

Speaker 3 (12:11):
Happier note, did you see that Jackson's been wearing again
lifts and his shoes and people found the exact shoes.

Speaker 1 (12:18):
On men are so embarrassing. They're so embarrassing. I'm just
wearing heels and be done with it.

Speaker 2 (12:26):
Just sitting down. Why do you need those? You're sitting
down the entire reunion.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
His feet wouldn't hit the floor if he didn't have
his legs.

Speaker 3 (12:37):
It's like he literally is on an angled platform, and
his ankles look so weird when zoomed in, Oh.

Speaker 1 (12:43):
My god, Oh I saw that where it's like, it's
so stupid. I honestly just thought it looked like he
skipped leg day. If anything, it took me a while
to see if there were lifts that like I caught
on because at first I was like, why are his
ankles so fucking skinny? These dude's like some credit to Jack.
He's a big dude, Like this man works out. How

(13:04):
are his ankles that tiny? And then I was the
same shoe. It's a weird angle because he lives.

Speaker 3 (13:12):
You were the same shoes for the after show. And
again I'm like, you're sitting down like I said, these.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
It really hinders him in the end because his ankles
just look skinny. They look weird, they look weird in proportion.
It's just weird awesome. Okay, should we get into some
like like really angry not angry news, but it's gonna
anger me?

Speaker 2 (13:34):
Yeah, can you say it?

Speaker 3 (13:37):
Love Island season six couple Jennay and Kenny have broken up,
and at first this like aird or got out.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
There, let's explain it.

Speaker 3 (13:46):
Yeah, From the beginning, at night, Janey and Kenny went
to David Dobrick's birthday, which.

Speaker 1 (13:52):
Is also yuck. Why are we hanging out with David don'bret.

Speaker 3 (13:56):
Another person who should not be able to come back
from like, no.

Speaker 1 (14:01):
Leave him. I think his birthday was in Brazil or something.
Leave him there, don't.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
Yeah, I think they were in Brazil. Were they?

Speaker 1 (14:09):
I don't know. I could have made that up. I'm sorry.

Speaker 3 (14:11):
If this happened out of the country, this adds a
whole nother leg I don't don't.

Speaker 1 (14:15):
Listen to me. I'm spreading drama. You know. I see
one thing and then I gossip about it. This was drama.
It's not fastic.

Speaker 2 (14:22):
That's so true. You love to just make up things.

Speaker 1 (14:26):
I like to exaggerate things that what happened happened. I'm
just adding in that it might be in Brazil.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
We don't know.

Speaker 3 (14:33):
I'm gonna say one percent chance of that happening. But
they were posting like, outside of it being David Dobrick's birthday,
looked like a good time, you know, like Kenny has
like a snake on his like neck and arms, you know,
like they're laughing, posting all these videos. And then apparently
between ten PM and like two am. The other like

(14:53):
PPG plus members and a few other cast members start
unfollowing Kenny, and it's like, wait.

Speaker 2 (14:59):
A minute, what the fuck happened?

Speaker 1 (15:02):
And then should we get this week?

Speaker 3 (15:04):
Janay posts state statement about it, and then Kenny posts
a statement about.

Speaker 1 (15:11):
It, the very different statement, completely different, Yeah got Janay
follows up being like no, no, no, no, no, no,
take some accountability.

Speaker 2 (15:19):
Let's tell us the truth just.

Speaker 1 (15:21):
As a highlight. I'm not gonna go verbatim. But Kenny's
statement was like, oh, I'm so grateful for the time
we've had. Unfortunately we have split. I'll always hold our
memories together.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
Like not every relationship makes at the distance.

Speaker 1 (15:36):
And then Janey's statement was, fuck this dude, what you
think he did? Time's up by time make it worse.
He's a living scum. We hate him. I'll never forgive him.
I hope he dies. And then we have a thought
about that.

Speaker 3 (15:51):
Because of statement, people thought he cheated and she was like,
he didn't cheat.

Speaker 1 (15:55):
It's even worse because I saw that, and I was like,
damn he cheat. And then her statement made me go
did he kill someone?

Speaker 3 (16:03):
Like?

Speaker 2 (16:04):
I was like, holy shit, do I have another family?

Speaker 1 (16:07):
I couldn't think of what was worse. I was like, hey,
because I was thinking I've seen the worst on vander
Pump Rules, Right, he impregnated someone and then like trying
to pay their abortion. That's the worst thing I could
think of Jack.

Speaker 2 (16:19):
Season one, for those who don't get.

Speaker 1 (16:21):
The reference, yes, and then she followed up with Kenny,
don't piss me off. I swear to god, you better
fucking tell the truth. Because we go different deet and
I went, they has to be even worse than impregnating
someone while dating her, Like I was like, what are
we doing? And then Leah posts and she's like this

(16:41):
fucking racist ass bitch Kenny, and I was like racist,
it's not funny. I'm for laughing. But the shot I
was like whoa.

Speaker 2 (16:51):
I was like, whoa, when what is happening?

Speaker 1 (16:54):
Shane was right, I wouldn't have guessed. I wouldn't have guessed.
And then you got like he's a cloud chaser, fuck him,
and then Live posted this thing, what a fucking racist
ass bitch, blah blah blah. I hope this gets you
the cloud you were hoping for. Then, so Tena's commenting
on things like he's a fucking demon cloud Chaser, and
I was like, holy shit, what happened? And then Jeannay's

(17:18):
friend posted that thing that Janey reposted and it was
like advisory to all girls, go through your well what
were you gonna interrupt?

Speaker 3 (17:26):
I was gonna say she only posted two hours because
this gave all the tea that I think they were
like wait wa wait, that was too much information put
out there.

Speaker 1 (17:35):
It was amazing. This friend was like advisory to all girls,
go through your man's phone and look up like key
words like I don't even like black girls and I'm
only with her for the cloud or the followers.

Speaker 3 (17:50):
I can't wait for this show to be over so
I can just fuck any woman I won.

Speaker 1 (17:54):
Yeah, yep. She gave sentences and I was like, oh,
oh my god, piss me off more. I dare you?
I'm livid. I crashed out about this at least twice yesterday,
like minimum, because here can I crash out about it again?
Really quick?

Speaker 2 (18:14):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (18:15):
Then I'll breathe and then I'll take some water break,
h Like, first of all, how dare you go on
react the public show seen worldwide? Pretend to fall in
love with this woman, not to mention cry over her
after you brought another black woman back from Kasa and

(18:36):
you just don't even like black women. You use two
of them, you protect, you spill these faked tears, get
America to root for you. We love your love. Janey
falls in love with you, and it was all for
what fucking klout? And also, aren't you Dominican or Puerto Rican?
You're a Latin man. You're gonna sit here and put
down another minority group? Are you fucking kidding me? Honestly?

(18:58):
And then you're with her for a whole fucking year.
You couldn't just break up after the house. You had
to for the cloud? What fucking cloud? People only cared
about you because they loved Janey. They didn't give a
shit about you. If you came in the house before
Janay and Janey never fucking met you, you think we'd
give an absolute shit about you. No, Janey was Queen
Bee from the beginning. We rooted for her. We watched

(19:20):
her day in and day out fucking struggle. And you
come in and we're like, finally a good fucking guy.
What a fucking joke? And here I was rooting for
this goddamn man who again disappoints me. And this is why. Okay,
it's not all men, but it's always a man that
disappoints us, So like, what the actual fuck? And then

(19:40):
you're gonna sit here and put out a bullshit statement
that's like, oh, I hope that our love is forever chairing, No,
fuck you and die anyway.

Speaker 3 (19:49):
I mean, my water breaking, amazing, amazing. I understand slightly
cloud chasing. Every person that goes on a reality TV
show wants attention. Like, that's not the problem that you
wanted attention, it's that hated this woman and wanted attention
so bad that you lied to her for a year

(20:12):
and like faked a relationship, not even on the show.
I'll give him a faking a relationship on the show.
I don't care about that. The minute you leave that villa,
you were with her for a whole year and didn't
want to be You're wasting her time, her emotions like
who or what a psychopath?

Speaker 1 (20:31):
It's honestly, what a joke. But can I tell you?
Can I tell you something? And I again, I should
have spoken up. I should have said something and I didn't.
But when after Love Island season six, we're following everyone
on his Instagram, I followed all of PPG and their men,
and then I saw Kenny followed Donald Trump, and I
unfollowed his ass and I know he put out a

(20:53):
statement and so did you, Nay where they're like, oh
my god, Kenny. It doesn't mean Kenny's a Trump supporter.
It just means that he wants to be educated on
what's happening in the world. But I something didn't sit
right with me, and I said, I'm still not going
to refollow him. You know what, I will keep Janay,
but I don't want Kenny anymore because I don't follow
people who follow Donald Trump. It's not aligned with my

(21:14):
my wants, and I just can't have that on my feed.
And I knew something was fishy, but I chose to
believe in my girl, Janey. And this just proves that
even if every girl I love falls in love with
a man, I still have to hate that man, like
I still need to be suspicious.

Speaker 3 (21:30):
That's your gut just because like because especially the person
they're dating can be blinded by other things that like,
we have clear eyes of these men, like we need
to trust our gut on them.

Speaker 2 (21:41):
What was creasies?

Speaker 3 (21:42):
I don't know if you're watching Love Island Beyond the
Villa last week's episode, when he was like, oh, everybody
follows me because they like my personality, I was like, what.

Speaker 1 (21:52):
No for more pictures of Janay. My favorite thing that
I've ever seen or heard Kenny do was when he
cried over Janey. That was and even then I honestly
laughed because it was kind of funny, but like kind
because I was more like good for her making this
man cry, you know, but that was my favorite thing

(22:12):
about I don't know what he's done post anything.

Speaker 2 (22:15):
I agree.

Speaker 3 (22:16):
And I remember when the trailer for Love Island Beyond
the Villa came out and he was like, well, like
I don't want to like move in together, and I
was like, oh, that's not crazy to not want to
move in together when you've only known each other, like
let's say.

Speaker 2 (22:28):
Nine months when they filmed this.

Speaker 3 (22:29):
I don't know exactly when they filmed this, but then
I find out that it's just them having random apartments
in LA for like three months, Like that, why wouldn't
you live with your significant other when you're just filming
a show in LA for a few months?

Speaker 1 (22:43):
Like just ask me you get a two bedroom?

Speaker 3 (22:46):
Nobody asked you has to buy a host together and like,
well that pack yourselves in.

Speaker 2 (22:52):
It's it's a short term lease. Face.

Speaker 1 (22:54):
Yeah. I didn't clock that until last episode when they
were talking about like I forget who it was, maybe
it was Kendall was like, oh, are you like is jidn't?
Are you going to move to LA? And I was like,
they're not living in LA because Kenny lives in Texas
and Jenny lives in Nevada and they were talking about
possibly moving to LA and I was like, so they

(23:15):
just are basically in next door hotel room, but giass
apartments And I was like then, I was like, that
doesn't really make sense if you're just living with someone
for three months that you lived in a house with
for like multiple weeks already with other beat Like you
could easily do that, and if you're concerned about your space,
just ask for two fucking bedrooms or like.

Speaker 2 (23:33):
You can go home to your real apartment in Dallas
for a weekend, Like, yeah, you can take space. This
is a short term lease. And I bet Love Island
is paying for this.

Speaker 1 (23:44):
Do you think he cheated on her though? Do you
think that's why he needs his own space?

Speaker 2 (23:49):
Now?

Speaker 3 (23:50):
I don't think he was cheating on her when they
were in LA, Like, that's that would be crazy.

Speaker 1 (23:54):
But she's right next door. He's like, don't come over tonight.

Speaker 2 (23:58):
I mean it's actually I can't trust that he didn't
do anything. I can't trust a man would. A man
would is the problem.

Speaker 1 (24:04):
Would a man this guy would? Kenny would absolutely.

Speaker 3 (24:08):
I would not be surprised to hear if he cheated
on her after hearing some of those texts.

Speaker 1 (24:14):
I and this man, I love us. Just removing him
from followers, that's amazing meal for two hundred.

Speaker 2 (24:21):
K Can I be mean and selfish?

Speaker 1 (24:24):
How rude of you to even ask me?

Speaker 2 (24:28):
This one's unfortunately about Jennay.

Speaker 3 (24:29):
I need I need that girl on a podcast. I
need to know exactly, minute by minute what happened. And
it's so selfish of me, and I'm so sorry. I
need traumas skilled out, you know what. I need to
actually know what happened.

Speaker 1 (24:42):
You know what, though, don't go on the Vile Files
literally any other podcast. Well that's so true, well not
any but go on like not fat, but not skinnier,
like even chicks in the office and they're like, go
on keik Oh my god. He Palmer's actually amazing because
I do love her and love her podcast Don't go

(25:03):
on the I saw a joke and I almost bang
my head into a wall and it was just like
a meme of like a cat trying to like grab something,
and it was like Nick vil trying to get Jane
out of the biobiles. And I was like, here's the thing, though,
I can't listen. If she does, I'll need to watch
a recap because I the same.

Speaker 3 (25:20):
The only way I could watch it if is if
Nick literally showed me a signed contract that he would
give her all the money from that episode.

Speaker 1 (25:27):
Well, here's the other thing, you know, if Nick Viyeal
does it, he's gonna be like, but Janay, how did
you not know that he hated Like he's gonna blame
her because he hates women and he hates people of color.

Speaker 3 (25:38):
No, he's not gonna actually know what happened to them,
like ask the questions of like the nuanced details of
what's been going on in their life and all the
things that led up to build the story. All the
times he was lying to her, like Nick would just
be like so he like did you dirty?

Speaker 2 (25:55):
And that's it?

Speaker 3 (25:55):
And it's like no, I need you to go into
unfortunately intimate detail. Over the last year, this me and
has been sleeping with a gun underneath her bed, hating her.

Speaker 1 (26:08):
I thought of something really mean, and I don't even
know if I'm gonna say, but it's so mean, and Nick,
you have to say it. Oh, it's so mean, it's
gonna get me canceled. Nick Vayel would be the type
of person to look Janey in the face after she'd
told him what Kenny did and be like, well, not
everyone likes black girls, Janey. That would be Nick Vyel.

Speaker 3 (26:28):
Or he would be like, well that was before the show,
and like before he met you.

Speaker 1 (26:33):
Now he would straight up be like, I don't like
black like that.

Speaker 3 (26:37):
He's not that, unfortunately, because then he wouldn't have a following.
Nick Viael is way more sinister and like undercover and
how so many people listen to him.

Speaker 1 (26:48):
So stop listening to him, Stop following Kenny. Stop with
these men. Oh, unfortunately, we have to talk about another
man that has disappointed me and pissed me off all
in the span of a week and a week, I've
lost no, no, no, like three days and then this is
why I'm crashing out Okay, I, oh god, I'll have
to written to report on this because it's it's both

(27:09):
of my special interests, and I just it could have
been better. So my special interests are Bravo and women's basketball.
Those are the two things I love more than anything
in the world, right, And so then I find out
yesterday there's a podcast that incorporates fucking both. But here's
the worst part about the podcast. At first, I was like, oh,
how fun. West Wilson is hosting it, and I love

(27:33):
West and I have a huge crush on him from
Summer House, and even though he has shown some red flags,
I look press those.

Speaker 2 (27:38):
Okay there, But at first I was like, do we
really need another Bravo star with a podcast? Who else
was with it? I was like, good god.

Speaker 1 (27:47):
No, literally, and everyone, remember we've had this podcast longer
than all the Provos stars. That's how sad this is.
But then I'll give Shina.

Speaker 2 (27:54):
And stasy their credit because they've had theirs longer.

Speaker 1 (27:57):
That's true, you know what, shut out Sheena? No, just kidding.
But then I saw his guests, or not his guest,
but I saw he was with my least favorite WNBA
player because her nickname is Maga Barbie, but her real
name is Sophie Cunningham. And then I did some investigative
journalism and I went, they're both doing this podcast together.
And that makes me want to die because.

Speaker 3 (28:19):
I texted you when I saw it because I was
like to swear that's the girl we talked about was Maga,
but I couldn't fully remember.

Speaker 1 (28:26):
Here's why something You might be like, why does this
anger you? Because West, for all of his flaws, has
not shown me that he is anything but a liberal.
He supports the LGBTQIA plus community, He's done articles, he's
done articles to support them. He I'm pretty sure inavertinently,
like endorsed Kamala Harris in twenty twenty four. And his

(28:50):
mom's a gynecologist, so you would think that he cares
about women's bodily on.

Speaker 3 (28:55):
Me, not how supportive he is of women's rights because
of like growing up with his mom as a gynecologist.

Speaker 1 (29:00):
Okay, great, So why do we need to give someone
nicknamed Maga Barbie a platform? Why?

Speaker 3 (29:08):
I know, I don't know, not just a platform. It's
not like he had her on as an interview guest.
This is somebody he is pairing up to have a
podcast with it just tells me that everything else was
so performative.

Speaker 1 (29:22):
Yeah, and like, I I understand he is in sports.
I can like, okay, and I think you said they
went to high school together or something, so they like
ye know each other, and like that's all fine and dandy.
But the problem is, like you are now giving her
the opportunity to spread her bullshit on your podcast, and

(29:45):
you're going to allow that, and inadvertently you are now
attached to that, Like if you are around shitty people,
you're gonna smell like shit too, Like that's just how
that goes. You are teaming up with her, even if
you don't align, you're still like.

Speaker 2 (30:01):
It's different when you're co hosting.

Speaker 3 (30:03):
Yeah, I understand saying people saying like I'm not gonna
not interview someone because they're maga, Okay, sure fine, Like
you are a sports you know you're in the sports journalists,
No realm, you need to talk to people who you
don't align politically with.

Speaker 2 (30:18):
I agree with that, but she's.

Speaker 1 (30:20):
A wait positive that have wait. I want to add
to you the idea. Yes, if you're interviewing someone about
their sport, that's fine, but this podcast.

Speaker 2 (30:29):
Is like everything.

Speaker 1 (30:31):
She has the ability to give her opinion on not
just her sport, and that's where you're concerning. That is
where it's concerning. And you might also be like, I
don't know our audience is I'm assuming pretty liberal because
like that's all I do is talk about this, and
this is not a safe space for MAGA ever. But
it's like it's like for anyone who might be like, oh,
but Sophie Cunningham's in the league, and like she may

(30:53):
not fully align with MAGA, it doesn't matter. The fact
that she supported him in twenty twenty four is crazy.
The fact that she was reposting bullshit by one of
Trump's sons about how Kamala Harris sucks and making fun
of her is bullshit. And it's extra bullshit that she
is in a league that is built on the blacks
of gay and black women, like that is such bullshit.

(31:14):
And you support an administration who does not support your
friends and coworkers like that, Like that's insane. It just
it makes no sense. And so West Wilson, you have
disappointed me, and I no longer can.

Speaker 2 (31:26):
I've always sorry.

Speaker 3 (31:28):
He went to school and like played football in Montana
and he's from Missouri and him being so outspoken liberally.
I've always wondered how he manages his friends, because there's
no way there isn't a chunk of them that are
maga and like Republican. And this just proves to me
that he doesn't check his friends if they say something inappropriate.

(31:50):
Because if he has known Sophie Cunningham since high school
and she was doing all of that shit, there is
no way he wasn't checking her, or like, there's no
way he was checking her, because if he was, then
their first episode would address all the horrible things she
has said.

Speaker 2 (32:07):
And what's even more insane is they were leaning.

Speaker 3 (32:10):
Into it by saying like, oh, this podcast is gonna
get us canceled.

Speaker 2 (32:14):
It is so you know, you know what you're doing.

Speaker 1 (32:17):
It's just disappointing because, like, my god, I hope it
does get them canceled. But like these are such specific
special interests, like a lot of people who watch the
WNBA also love reality TV, Like these things perfectly align,
and they had to go and pick like a white
man and a maga Barbie to another white of this.

(32:39):
You could have literally it could have been so good.
It could have been so good and now there's a
special interest podcast for me that I can't listen to.
And another thing that really pisses me off about Maga
Barbie is the fact that, Okay, let's hypothetically say that
she actually doesn't support Maga or whatever. The fact that
she has not come out and told her fans to

(33:01):
stop calling her that is crazy. If anyone ever associated
me with Maga, I don't care. If I lost everyone
I ever knew, I would be like, that is not
how I alige and know that put that on the record.

Speaker 2 (33:14):
It's the same we're voting.

Speaker 3 (33:15):
People won't talk about their votes when they voted for
Donald Trump, but when you voted for Kamala Harris, you're like,
of course I voted for her.

Speaker 1 (33:24):
To say that, I'm not a fucking moron, So anyway,
fuck that. I'm so mad that, like especially so, I
guess we're the only podcast that does both.

Speaker 2 (33:34):
Still, Hey, all I'm hearing is we carved Arnie.

Speaker 1 (33:38):
Listen listen here. I think we now go up against
directly Sophie Cunningham and Wes Wilson for these podcast views.
But on the other side of things.

Speaker 2 (33:48):
I do hate a lot of people from Missouri, and
they are too, from the list, also being from Missouri.
God damn it. Now I've got Tom Sanaval, Sophie Cunningham,
and West Wilson, you know, and it's just me and
Andy going on the other side.

Speaker 1 (34:04):
You're now outnumbered. It used to be too v too,
and now you had Wes Wilson. You're out numbered, Leah
Missouri set. I just have Jesse Solomon to fight. That's terrible,
but I would rather have him. But I know at
this point no same because at least he's not doing
a podcast with anyone named Maga Barbie.

Speaker 2 (34:22):
He's just dashed.

Speaker 1 (34:25):
I want to date him so like.

Speaker 3 (34:26):
It's just it's just an emotional warfare if you're dating him,
so like I can avoid I can avoid that easily.

Speaker 1 (34:32):
Yeah. I can't even hang out with Wes anymore out
of fear that he's gonna bring Sophie Cunningham around. That's
a fear. Yeah, really so upset, Yo, Who am I
gonna there's not a man on Probably the worst part
is yesterday we were like so pro West and then
I found this out and I was like anti and
we were literally talking about how I love Wes early

(34:54):
or yesterday before I found out. Yes, It's the worst
part about this.

Speaker 3 (34:58):
Because for people who follow us a socials, I was
making money with the Summer. I turned pretty edits and
I was asking people what do I put for West
and they were like the summer that he's not a
cloud chaser, and I was like, no, I love Wes.
And then literally within three hours, I was like, fuck
that man, Yes, the Summer.

Speaker 2 (35:15):
He isn't chasing chasing cloud.

Speaker 1 (35:17):
He's chasing the Maga cloud, which is crazy, crazy, crazy crazy.

Speaker 3 (35:22):
I don't think he's like chasing to be a Republican,
but he's he's willing to.

Speaker 1 (35:27):
Get those fans, he's willing to accept those fans. He's
chasing the cloud of Maga to be like, come follow me,
come join my I had a good guy.

Speaker 3 (35:35):
Morals aren't that strong. If you're willing to co host
a palace with someone who is so horrible and then
to have done articles about how you're liberal and the
things you support how important it is to you, just
tells me that you wanted people's good will after you
were a horrible human being to Sierra, and you wanted

(35:58):
to win that back by coming out as a liberal.
But you won't stand on business when the time comes.

Speaker 2 (36:05):
I'm just so.

Speaker 3 (36:06):
Tired of people's morals blowing in the win based on
whatever opportunity comes.

Speaker 1 (36:10):
He could have done a podcast with literally any w
NBA player besides her, and I know they went to
high school together.

Speaker 3 (36:16):
I get it, okay, but you don't have to know
the person, not intimately podcasts with them. You didn't need
to start a podcast first. I doubt they kept in touch.
I doubt these two kept in touch. I got they
did because they are probably one of a few who
went on to play college sports.

Speaker 1 (36:35):
Oh that's true. I forgot that they I always forget
he did anything. You don't want to fuck a white
Fuck this white man, fuck another white man. Disappoints me.
I should have known better than to trust a white man,
and here I was sticking out for him all last season.

Speaker 2 (36:51):
Yeah, don't worry.

Speaker 1 (36:51):
I won't get it twisted this year. Don't you worry
about a thing.

Speaker 2 (36:55):
We're going to be terrible men giving us horrible things
this week.

Speaker 1 (37:00):
Who's the third Jack's Key?

Speaker 2 (37:04):
And will Wes Wilson?

Speaker 1 (37:05):
No, you're right, you're right. Well damn all right? Well
can I cheer you up with some good WNBA news?

Speaker 3 (37:11):
Yeah, let's go to the women because that's where like
all good things, why well most good things.

Speaker 2 (37:16):
Because there are terrible women out there too.

Speaker 1 (37:18):
But but not as many, not as many as terrible men,
so we feel safer anyway. Oh my gosh, okay, so
too ish. Maybe Over two ish weeks ago, Meredith was
the WNBA All Star Game.

Speaker 2 (37:31):
I've been waiting for this.

Speaker 1 (37:32):
Oh do you know about it? How much did you
want me to explain a lot? Do you only want
me to know?

Speaker 3 (37:37):
I want you to tell me everything, because you telling
me is even better.

Speaker 2 (37:40):
I tried to avoid some stuff, but some of it
was everywhere, so I couldn't.

Speaker 1 (37:45):
Yes, Okay, so I'm going to let me let me
preface this. So there's two parts of WNBA All Star
Weekend I do want to talk about. There is a
live stream by the stud Buds and then there's like, yeah,
the actual shit that was happening. So there's two parts,
but I'm gonna go chronologically because I know you like
a timeline. Okay, look, so basically, just to give you

(38:06):
some background, the stut Buds are two women on the
Minnesota team. They kind of look alike in the sense
that they dye their hair the same pink color, and
they're kind of the same height, and they're both kind
of tiny compared to other players in the league. They're
both pretty tiny players. But yeah, they're both Studs. So
they're the Stud Buds and they stream on Twitch a lot.

(38:29):
That's how they make like extra revenue. And they're like,
if they're traveling, they'll pull other teams like players in
and they'll just sit and chat with them. Sometimes it's
just them, but they go live. I think every day.
I had never turned into a stream and I barely
turned into this one, but like a lot happened. So
the Stud Buds were like, Hey, guess what, We're gonna
go live for all of the seventy two hours of

(38:49):
All Star Weekend and take you with us, take the
fans with us, because not everyone can be an indie. Yeah,
so they did that. So All Star Weekend starts right,
let's go. So they do this thing called the Orange Carpet,
and the Stud Buds take us to the Orange Carpet
with them, and basically they are the ultimate hype women.

(39:11):
They look at everyone and they kept going, you look good,
you look good to everyone? What's up?

Speaker 2 (39:19):
Fine?

Speaker 1 (39:19):
Shit? That's what they did to everyone. Right, but they
are hyping up the crowd and everyone knows about the
live stream, so like all the other players will be
like is this the stream and like pointing the camera.
I think there's this camera guy that they have literally
just following them around the streaming live. They have microphones,
but some stuff is getting cut and they like occasionally

(39:40):
mute if it's like a private conversation, so like some
shit you couldn't catch. But for about the house part.
So basically, there's this orange carpet where all the All
Stars like walk and they do a lot of press
interviews and then the stud buds are also posted up,
not interviewing, just like chatting with people. So basically they're
on my first note, They're on the orange carp and
I'm hitting on all the couples I've talked of before

(40:02):
because these are my specific interests. Okay, so remember the
French couple I told you about, Gabby and Marine Johannes. Yes, Okay,
Gabby is the one on the Seattle Storm. She's my
favorite player that I'm obsessed with, and this is her
first All Star game. So she's walking the carpet and
she looks incredible, but so Courtney sees Gabby coming Courtney.

(40:24):
Oh yeah, let me tell you. The stud buds names
are Courtney and Natsha. Okay, those are your two. Courtney
is way more outgoing than Natitia is. Courney just says
shit and doesn't think twice about it. So Courtney sees
Gabby while she's talking to other people, and she's like, oh,
I gotta go tell Gabby she looks incredible. And they're like,

(40:46):
all right, but like, don't flirt because you know. And
just to give you a reminder, Gabby and Marine Johannis.
Everyone knows they're like dating slash engage, but they have
never confirmed they do no PDA. They never have confirmed it.

Speaker 2 (41:00):
They don't have a raven like interest, right, we're like
or not interest. Sorry.

Speaker 3 (41:04):
They don't have any like key moments like Page and
Easy have with like the phonecays, none, none of that,
like the stones, Like it's not like little even little
like nose or anything.

Speaker 1 (41:16):
The emost she'll get out of them is they like
occasionally touch a little long in a basketball game, but
that's like and like maybe they post pics together, but
that's like it. No, they have not, it's just not
talked about, but everyone knows so they're like, don't hit
on her because Courney is gonna hit on her. So
they're like, be respectful, please, And so Corney goes over

(41:37):
there and she's like, Gabby, you look good, and Gabby's like,
oh my god, hey, and they hug because they're friends.
And then Gabby sees the live stream and Gabby's a
very private person, so she's like, if this is it,
I gotta go. But she's like jokingly, She's like I
don't want to be on it, but Corney's like, no, wait,
tell the people you have on. So Gabby's like, okay,
this is my out yit and then she's like okay,

(41:57):
like see you later, Courtney and starts walking away, and
Courtney goes, if it doesn't work out, call me fine. Shit.
Gabby looks at her and like just laughs, what wit?
And the T shirt is just sitting there going why
did you say that? And Conny's like, I think she's
maybe interested in and she's just like no, she's not.

Speaker 2 (42:16):
She's not, she's And then.

Speaker 1 (42:18):
The stud buds proceed to go to like this back
part of the convention center that we're at, where I'm
assuming like significant others, families, like players, that aren't on
the carpet are just a chill and they run into
none other than Marine Johannis and Courtney's like, who's even
more private? This bitch won't even get in a TikTok,
like she fucking hates the camera. And so she sees

(42:41):
Courtney coming and Cortney's like Marine and like they hug
or whatever, and Courtney like points to the live and
was like, no, I know y'all are about to be
messy because you're gonna say I was hitting on her woman,
and Marine's face is just like no. And then she
looks at Marine and she's like, your woman looks good.
And Marine goes, thank you, I think Gabby. Courney goes

(43:02):
and you look good. Marine goes thank you. Corny goes
and we and we love you, and Marine's like thank you.
And then you can see her just staring at the
live being like okay, bye.

Speaker 2 (43:16):
Get away from me.

Speaker 1 (43:17):
Oh so funny, Courtney. Really later people were like you
outed them, and Courtney made a good point where she's like,
if you're really that hidden, like you wouldn't be out together,
like because they showed up together to the thing. There
are pictures of them going to all the parties together, like, yes,
it makes sense.

Speaker 3 (43:36):
It was just people being like, hey, they clearly keep
it very private, like you don't have to want to
be he don't want to be on your or seventy
two hour live stream, like leave them alone.

Speaker 1 (43:47):
They're clearly you don't have to hit on one and
then tell the other that you weren't getting like I
don't mind.

Speaker 3 (43:54):
Her hitting on Gabby, but like to go then backstage
and then make it a thing with.

Speaker 1 (44:01):
Yeah, don't be like if it doesn't work out, even
if it's a joke, like don't be on your live stream.
It was funny though, because they both were like, oh
my god. So then we're gonna cut to like actual interviews,
not the stud buds live stream. So there was this
one interview which I'm sure you saw. It went so
viral with page this is you gotta talk about it.

(44:25):
So this girl, Maddie, she runs this account called wag Talk,
which I follow because normally it's NBA like wives and Girlfriends,
And what she basically does is she asks you a
bunch of questions about your athlete and then at the
end you go like boyfriend or reveal or whatever her
husband reveal it's and then the girlfriend or wife will
say the name of said player. So she interviewed Page

(44:49):
obviously and started with how well do you know your
D one girlfriend? And Page was like all right, So
she answered a bunch of questions about Azy obviously, and
then at the end said her girlfriend's name is Asy
Fine and we all let, oh my god, she's confirmed it.
And I also want to talk about this because Maddie
got a lot of backlash because they said Paige or yeah,

(45:11):
Page looked really uncomfortable and how dare Maddie take advantage
of Page like that and blah blah blah. But Maddie
came out and said that A she asked Paige to
do it, Page did not have to do it. B
Her microphone says wag talk, So it wasn't like hidden.
See the first question was how well do you know

(45:32):
your D one girlfriend? Paige could have said no, thanks
right there and there would be no interview.

Speaker 3 (45:37):
She would not have aired that footage if that she
had declined to do that.

Speaker 1 (45:41):
She said, like, if Page at any point wanted to stop,
she wouldn't have aired it. And she knows Paige from
like previous interviews, so like get over it, you know,
but it was so cute.

Speaker 2 (45:53):
It was so cute.

Speaker 3 (45:54):
They're finally and I liked that they did it with
Page talking about Aasy. Yeah, not like Asy talking about Page.

Speaker 1 (46:01):
Because made a few statements. Yeah yeah, It's very cute.
So we're pumped about this anyway. So now let's go
back to the stud Buds. These two are menaces.

Speaker 2 (46:12):
Oh if I saw them coming, I would literally like,
duck in.

Speaker 1 (46:18):
There. I gotta go. So the stud Buds then are
filming in like the back of the convention center. People
are leaving. This is my favorite clip from You see
in the background they're talking to another player, but obviously
the camera man is getting anyone is always moving like whatever,
and you see Page, Gabby and Marine Johann is walking out.

(46:38):
No Marine, I swear to god, she has a six
cent she clocked that camera and she got out of
the frame. She moved to the point that Gabby literally
like looked around and was like where'd she go? Like
in the clip, you see Gabby kind of be like
where you're and Marine is like out of it, and
Gabby starts. Then they see the stud Buds in her

(46:59):
and Page like past it and are just like hey,
Marrie booked it. I don't know where she went. She
had on a scooter and left. She was like because
that was.

Speaker 3 (47:08):
After the first interaction, right, She's like, I'm not gonna
even get caught talking to you because I don't trust
I don't want to like talk to you and have
you say things and I don't feel comfortable with not again.

Speaker 1 (47:19):
Okay, so now let's go the stud Buds. This is
where they're real menaces. They took us, so they took
us out on the town, Meredith. We went to the
w NBA party where everyone was getting trash trash, including
the stud Buds. They're doing shots with everyone. They started
dancing with their Minnesota coach, who the next day was

(47:41):
like that was Ai, That wasn't real because they were
all smashed. Caitlin Clark's yelling into the live stream while
her best friend Katie Martin is taking her cup out
of her hand to be like, let's just not have
questions about this, because you know, like they're all twenty one,
but also to like it's just like, let's just not
have questions about it. The most important part here was

(48:01):
remember how I told you about that couple Sinaia Rivers
and Marina Mayverrey where I was like, I will not
be fooled again. I think they're dating, but we don't know.
The stud buds caught them in a few compromising positions.
So there was one where we're doing a line dance
and Snaia's arm is wrapped around Marina's waist and she's

(48:23):
flowing with her, and I know Sonaiya is teaching Marina
to dance, but you don't gotta grab her at the
waist like they looked suspicious. And then Senaia clocks that
camera and she lets go, which that's suspicious. And then
the stud buds are doing a dance battle, so everyone's
around them. I don't know what they were doing actually,

(48:43):
but the camera in the background got Sanaya standing there clapping,
and then Marina comes around and puts one hand over
the shoulder of Snaya and the other hand under her arm,
so she's like around her from behind, and then clocks
that camera and let's go. And I was like, my god,
you guys are in I love you guys are dating.
I know it. I have to know it. It's amazing, right, I.

Speaker 2 (49:06):
Feel like the players are gonna be like, you're not
doing this again.

Speaker 1 (49:09):
Like, No, it was amazing, La. It was amazing watching
a drunk Natisha hide him in try and hit on
Angel Reese, who was twice her size and has a boyfriend,
was so funny. This girl was like another player. Had
to grab Natsia and be like no, like go away.

Speaker 2 (49:29):
This is crazy. This is better than reality too.

Speaker 3 (49:33):
It was better because it's unedited, messy, drunk, like having fun,
nothing like terrible, like good old fun that you're just like.

Speaker 1 (49:44):
I do have to say it was great that it
wasn't like as staged for drama. My problem is when
it was slow. It was slow, like I clocked in
a few times and I was like, I don't care
about your car ride to the bar. I don't care
about it. But then what else we got? Asy showed
up late to the party. The Page was already at
because she's in the All Star Game. They were attached

(50:07):
at the hit Man. They would not let go of
each other. We got shots of Page putting having her
arm around Asy as they're talking. We have Asy grabbing
onto Page's arm like, oh my god, these do are love. Okay,
it gets even better. So then the next day everyone's
hungover the stub buds. Stubuds are struggling, but they persist

(50:28):
because they have to. I also was like, when did
they sleep? Because I think it was live the whole
fucking time doesn't matter, so they're.

Speaker 2 (50:35):
Got to have gone down, like for like at least
six hours.

Speaker 1 (50:39):
Someone was trying to explain another basketball player is trying
to explain the live stream to her mom, and her
mom went, what do they do when they sleep? And
the player goes, I don't think they do, mom? The
mom why anyway?

Speaker 2 (50:51):
I like it.

Speaker 1 (50:53):
Anyway, the stud buds are out and about again. But
we can just skip the day because there wasn't much
that happened. Let's get to the night life because when
I tell you, Indianapolis turned into Miami, it was insane.

Speaker 2 (51:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (51:06):
So basically I think the WNBA has like this, like
they always have parties separately, you know, so they have
a party and it looks kind of like a lame party.
It was. It was pretty lame. Everyone's doing shot sure,
but like it didn't seem bumping, you know.

Speaker 2 (51:22):
Yeah, and then.

Speaker 1 (51:24):
I was like, I'm not doing anything. Let me just
click into the live see what's happening. Right. I get
in just as everyone's going, hey, we're heading to Asy's party.
We're going to Asy's party, so I go I am confused.
So instead of watching them actually go there in a car,
which is so boring, I look this up. Azy released
or announced on Saturday or Friday she's coming out with

(51:47):
a new podcast called fut Around and find Out. So
she announced it all Star weekend and then she was
hosting a party for it, sponsored by Steph Curry and Patron.
So I can't go back because she signed the STEPS label.
So she's having a party and all the all the
WNBA girlies were not at her party. But I'm sure
Page said I'm going to Aisy's fucking party, right, because

(52:10):
what the fuck? So they all left their WNBA party
to go to Asy's party. And when I tell you,
I had FOMO from this party. This looked like a
fucking party. Everyone was so drunk, everyone was dancing, the
music was loud. We had shots of Patron, her parents
were in the stud buds live stream Nutty right. Her

(52:32):
parents were giving glares. They were like, who are these
two pink headed weirdos with a camera in our face?
But yeah, so basically Basy earlier in the night before
the WNBA got there, had told another Twitch streamer that
was live that the Dallas Wings flew her out as
a plus one, so Spicelara, which people are saying, No,

(52:53):
Dallas is trying to get Easy to join the team.
That's not how it works. And also hot take that
I can go into later. I don't want Ezy on
the same team as Page agreed. That's our take, mostly
because I think Asy could be a franchise player if
she goes to a different team. But if she goes
to Dallas, Page is gonna be the franchise player and
Asy and do her own anyway. That's just my opinion.
But so then all the wa NBA starts showing up.

(53:15):
We first see Page who when she gets drunk, no
one is behind her eyes. Let me tell you can
block this bitch, and it said there is no one
home Meredith. I don't know if Ezy drinks, but compared
to Paige, she was stone cold sober this night, the
two of them. Well.

Speaker 3 (53:31):
I also, when you're the one hosting it and it's
like a business party for you, I get what you're
gonna keep.

Speaker 1 (53:36):
Let me tell you one person was firing on old
cylinders and the other person had no life, had no
life whatsoever. But I did hear from a sports journalist
that was at the party. She said that before Page
showed up, they were by the VIP section and Asy
kept like looking around, and so her and her friend
were like, I bet Page is about to walk in,

(53:57):
and she's looking for Page, and then Page ran out
of know wearing, picked Aisy up and like spun her
around and like they were like, it was so cute,
and I wish I had seen it, but it's okay,
it's okay.

Speaker 2 (54:07):
So disappointing. It wasn't like captured.

Speaker 1 (54:10):
I think it was like also around their Yukon teammates,
because the girls were like, it was so nice to
see their Yukon teammates like cheering for them, because it
felt like they were finally like out and so it
was like, okay, this was a safe space until the
stud buds show up, and it's really curiously studbuds get there,
they get the party going. They don't even really know
Asy Fud, which is the best part because they kept

(54:32):
following her AZZI We're going to Ozzy's party, and my
parent was courty when she's like, I don't know we're
going to like some Ozzie's party or something someone told
me about. I was like, that is so stupid.

Speaker 3 (54:44):
In like high school or college, when you're just like
kidding and I ran and the word is just sprunting.

Speaker 2 (54:48):
You're like, I don't know, I just hear this party's fun.
We're going And.

Speaker 1 (54:52):
Then Natsia hide him and like finds Asy and starts
trying to interview her. And you can tell no idea
who this woman is. And as he's just like answering
the questions again, probably sober, which the studbuds are not.
It was so painful to watch. But then then Page
gets in the frame and then they give us all
these cute little moments where they're like laughing together and

(55:13):
holding hands and dancing together. Page puts her arm around Asy,
and it was like very very very cute. It was
very cute. They saying love by Kisha Cold to each other.
It was very cute. Meanwhile, though the studbuds are absolute menaces.
They are hitting on everyone who walks. They are showing
the camera. They are like, you're drunk, get on camera,
you're drunk, get on camera. They were dance battle like

(55:34):
these people are nuts. And then we actually had the
All Star game, which was like a lot of fun,
but the next morning Natsia needed an IV, which is
absolutely I get it hilarious now the bender.

Speaker 2 (55:46):
Of a weekend.

Speaker 1 (55:47):
The problem with this live stream now was that afterwards
people were like, oh my god, I loved the live stream,
including a one enemy of mine, Dave Portinoy. So Dave's
people reached out to the stud Buds people and We're like, oh,
I'd love to come on your stream, and the stud
Buds were like, yeah, we're gonna have Dave Portnoy on,

(56:10):
to which they received a ton of backlash because people like, A,
you literally play in the WNBA and this man is
a menace to all women. B he hates black women
and gay women, to which both of you are both
of those things. And see, this man has dragged angel
Rees through the fucking mud and you're gonna allow him

(56:31):
a platform, to which then they were like, we'll just
have a conversation with him. I hate that, We'll ask
him why he hates Angel Rees. Did they Well, everyone
was like, don't do it or we will stop watching you.
That the threat is now the fans I actually have
kept and they had tons of thousands of fans always
on their Twitch. Now it's they're like, we will literally

(56:55):
stop watching. The fact that you're considering it pisses us off,
but like, yeah, we will stop. And then Dave Portnoy
went on his dumb one of his eighty podcasts and
he was like, I can't believe they're receiving backlash for this.
All I was going to do was have a conversation
and I hate Angel Race for good reason, and but
fuck you, you geriatric loser, Like literally, yeah.

Speaker 3 (57:18):
I don't understand why people are confused that they have backlash.

Speaker 1 (57:23):
I don't.

Speaker 2 (57:23):
I don't.

Speaker 1 (57:24):
The only other thing I want to mention I want
to end on a really happy note was that they
on Sunday went to a party that the WNBA host
I think the WNBA hosted, but they got the Diplo
was DJing, right, which is hilarious in a tone, right,
But Diplo's DJing and on the stream, Corny's like, who
is this clown? I'm gonna tell him I saw some

(57:46):
real music and goes up to Diplo and like starts
song requesting and he's like, no, she didn't know who did.

Speaker 2 (57:56):
I saw that.

Speaker 1 (57:58):
It's the bad like, that's amazing.

Speaker 3 (58:01):
I want to be successful enough in my life to
not give a shit who people are.

Speaker 1 (58:07):
No, that is so. And then she tried, like after
on like a sober Twitch stream a few days later,
to be like I knew who Diplo was, and everyone's like, no.

Speaker 2 (58:16):
You didn't. That's good, but you did it.

Speaker 1 (58:20):
The fact that you went up to Diplo and was like,
can I make a request for some hip hop?

Speaker 3 (58:25):
Was so you just think he's Jay at a bar
that you can just be like, oh, hey, I need
you to play this song instead of him having a
whole set list.

Speaker 2 (58:33):
He's pretty prepared.

Speaker 1 (58:35):
That is so funny, like he's gonna play anything but
his own music, and.

Speaker 2 (58:39):
You're just like, doesn't take request base.

Speaker 1 (58:41):
Excuse me, sir? Can you put on some Beyonce? That
is so funny. I will say, though, I do think
I am very different than the stud buds because the
music they were getting down to I would be like,
I don't know how to dance to this. I put
on some z or something.

Speaker 2 (59:00):
I said.

Speaker 1 (59:01):
I would have been a Diplo baby, but yeah, they
it's like hard rap. I think the thing is this
is what I clocked. Was like when we went to college, right,
it was like some EDM, but like obviously a lot
of like house party beats where we were like singing
some but we were like jumping up and down, dancing,
flailing basically. Occasionally you could put on like a good

(59:24):
rap song to which we're all gonna grind to. No, no, No.
These WNBA parties were like it would just be like
a rap song and they would all just stand around
and like bop and sing and like rap the song.
And I was like, no, I get it, but like
let's like break it down, you know, like.

Speaker 2 (59:40):
I want to jump around. I want to like burn
some co This is an exercise.

Speaker 1 (59:44):
That's why diplow for me. I eating that up. But yeah,
that's my WNBA news.

Speaker 2 (59:52):
No, that was amazing.

Speaker 3 (59:54):
That's such a fun weekend. I'm glad to hear that
All Star weekend was a good one. I know there's
a always like good attention when it comes around, Like
I know, the three point contest is always a big one,
and for the last two years it's been like well,
Caitlin Clark whatever, people were on her about not playing
but being out parking as if like you can't.

Speaker 2 (01:00:15):
Drink and have a good time with a groin injury
like she is.

Speaker 1 (01:00:20):
I will say, though they did wear to the game
shirt said said pay us what you owe us, which yes,
very good. But I will say a former w NBA player,
her name's Candace Parker, who I used to really like
but now I really don't because she's kind of a hater.
She also now has a podcast, and she was saying, like,
how can they wear those shirts and then perform terribly

(01:00:45):
in an All Star game? To wait, what, Candace Parker?
The All Star Game is not real. They're not gonna
risk injury to like just goof around with their friends.

Speaker 2 (01:00:54):
This is like fun.

Speaker 1 (01:00:55):
This is like we're gonna take half court shots and
like see if we make it. You know, like this
isn't an actually a.

Speaker 3 (01:01:01):
Game, like like if you all went to a park
to have fun and play together and like see people
normally want to be on a team play together.

Speaker 1 (01:01:09):
But hater Candace Parker was like, it's actually disrespectful to
ask for more money when you pay play that like
that bullshit. Like I couldn't even watch it. It was so
bad and I was like, it's not a real game,
and so now.

Speaker 2 (01:01:22):
I'm like crazy critique.

Speaker 1 (01:01:24):
No, it was crazy. And the worst part is her
co host is a Leah Boston, who is currently in
the league and was on the All Star team. But
I Aliyah, it didn't look like said anything. She was
just like, no, that's a fair opinion, And I was like, no,
it's not. Because has she's seen you play in an
actual fucking game with your actual fucking team.

Speaker 2 (01:01:45):
No.

Speaker 1 (01:01:45):
Literally, So I don't know. Cannas Parker, I think is
just a big hater. She has said other stuff that
it's like, rubbed me the wrong way recently.

Speaker 3 (01:01:53):
So that's what I feel sad about, is from what
I've seen, And maybe this is wrong because I don't
know as much, so correct me if I'm wrong on this.
But whenever last year's kind of like generation or incoming
class came in, it felt like there was a big
power struggle for name recognition and effort, and like there's

(01:02:14):
years of women who have been in the WNBA and
deserve that recognition, but to know that like there's a
big spotlight because of this incoming like kind of like
I'll call like freshman class coming into the league is
giving you a huge spotlight and to put them down
for something that will only benefit you too. I always
never liked that. It feels like it's kind of like

(01:02:35):
this tug of war between some legacy players and maybe
some people have retired in that those incoming classes.

Speaker 1 (01:02:44):
I agree, Like I'm sorry to Canvas Parker that when
she played, it wasn't this big of a scene, and I
think that's really upsetting. But now you can benefit from
that because you are such an iconic player, Like she's
one of those names that will never get lost because
she was so good, And now she can have a
podcast on the WNBA because it's big and get real listeners, right,

(01:03:06):
so she can also benefit from it. There's no need
to put it down just because you struggled, you know, like, yes,
you did amazing, but now you should also benefit from
what you did. Take your name, make a podcast about it,
but stop being a hater.

Speaker 3 (01:03:20):
No, I think it's really important to know the history
and like not just focus on the incoming class. But
it's not their fault and it's not a bad thing.
Like why is it a bad thing that there's more
attention on this? I never got There's a few other
players who definitely hate it on Caitlin Clark for invalid reasons.
There is reasons to like hate on her for other

(01:03:41):
things that have happened in the last few years, but
like just for coming in.

Speaker 2 (01:03:44):
And having attention. I was like, that's a worthy thing
to have.

Speaker 1 (01:03:49):
Yeah, and she's good. She is a very good player.

Speaker 2 (01:03:53):
Yeah, she is.

Speaker 1 (01:03:54):
She has a lot of talent, and it just so happened.
I think she came up at the right time with
the right like she's very showy and I think it
works out for your benefit and that's great. And she
did take kind of a crappy like I was not
a basketball school, and she took it and made it
into something which I think is admirable and she should
get recognition for it. Sure, hate around a few other things,

(01:04:16):
that's fine, but as far as recognition, she's helping build
this league into something more.

Speaker 2 (01:04:20):
You can't hate on her for bringing attention to the league.

Speaker 1 (01:04:23):
Yeah, and now these other players are being able to say, well,
now we're making more revenue, we want more money based
off of that, which I think is also fair. And
there was coming up if they don't come If they
don't come to an agreement, I think before October or
something with the players in the league, there's a lockout
for next year. I love it so but all these

(01:04:46):
players have better options to go. They have unrivaled They
can go overseas now, like well.

Speaker 2 (01:04:52):
They mean most of their money from not the WNBA,
like not.

Speaker 3 (01:04:55):
Those contracts, So okay, like you're not gonna want me
all start pickup game and people still want to watch
me do this.

Speaker 1 (01:05:01):
Yeah. I think it was Sue Bird on her podcast
said that she played in Russia a few years and
she was like, I made millions, millions, and she goes
and then I would come back. Maybe it was a
guest of hers that said it, but Sue agreed. You
go overseas, you make millions, and then you come back
to the w and you're making like seventy fifty K

(01:05:23):
and then they get fined for doing stupid shit, right,
and so they get five hundred dollars in fines and
they're like, well that's a percentage of our salary at
this point, like we have he must we must go
somewhere else, like yeah, whatever.

Speaker 3 (01:05:36):
And that's really hard, I bet right now because of
the conflict with like Russian and Ukraine, Like yeah, are
not going over there, like for safety that you're like
there's fewer options, which is not the league's fault by
any means, but that adds into it the need four
more dollars. You're making more money, this is a bigger platform.
Give us a percentage. Nobody's asking for the exact salary

(01:05:57):
that the men are making. People know that this is
a business at the end of the day, and that
you need to grow into that. But when you're making
more money, you need to filter it on more to
the players too, exactly.

Speaker 1 (01:06:06):
So whatever, I hope that they get, and I think
it helps that you now have big names like Kaylen
Clark and Paige Beckers is coming in and she is
helping fight for this. Like I think she recently did
an interview where she was like, what they gave back
to us as an embarrassment, we like won't stand for that.
And she's making millions of dollars just on her like
gay Orade deal alone. So she's ready to like help

(01:06:28):
subsidize some of these players to make Unrivaled bigger so
they can have more teams and they won't have to
send people overseas. Like it's just kind of cool that,
like they're all these big players. Juju Watkins is doing
it and she's not even fucking in the league yet, like.

Speaker 3 (01:06:41):
I love amazing they should because just because you're making
basically your salary elsewhere with all these deals, I appreciate
the people at the top still voicing their opinion on
these contract deals.

Speaker 2 (01:06:52):
Yeah, because it is important. It's about the league as
a whole.

Speaker 1 (01:06:55):
And the other sad thing is like and iol wasn't
a thing for a lot of these ladies, like we
in college wouldn't have had Aniel had just started. So
all these young players, I mean like page Backers is
a millionaire and she's not even she doesn't even have
a full frontal lobe yet, right, whereas these other players
have been playing for how long and they all had
to go overseas and like just like they couldn't make

(01:07:17):
any money in college.

Speaker 2 (01:07:17):
It was a lead.

Speaker 3 (01:07:18):
Yeah, that's the thing that like the now players are
yeah coming in with money.

Speaker 1 (01:07:22):
And being like money and then any.

Speaker 3 (01:07:24):
Of the players who are gonna well it not even
that it doesn't really matter how they spend it, but
like the new players are coming in set already financially,
whereas the players that have been there for years don't
have that same opportunity, like don't have that same Yeah,
like nest Egg of all these funds and also the
opportunities ye're not getting the same, like deals for any

(01:07:46):
ad campaigns or whatever, Like, Yeah, if you have to
do it like a twitch just to make up half
your income, like live stream for seventy two hours, you
should be able to just be a professional women's basketball player. Yeah,
and if you want to do other things, that's great,
but you shouldn't have to like subsidize your as a
professional athlete.

Speaker 1 (01:08:05):
So it's nice that these like new players like Page
do do Caitlin, they can like really say, we don't
have to join your league. We're here for fun. And
if you're not going to pay us and our friends correctly,
like we can just We're do this. Yeah, we can
afford to not play for you for half of them,
we can still make it. We're good. Thank you though,
So anyway, that's a go. Women, we're ending up high.

(01:08:28):
We're not, I know. Okay, Now what do we.

Speaker 2 (01:08:32):
Do reading anything? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:08:36):
My god, all I did was read. But I'm not
going to bore you with all everything I've read because
it's a lot. So I'll break it down into a
few weeks.

Speaker 2 (01:08:43):
Well at least give the titles.

Speaker 3 (01:08:44):
Like so the people know and titles and ratings because
it's your at your book club, my girly.

Speaker 1 (01:08:50):
I know, I know, but there's one book in particular
I want to well, I'll do high level. Okay, so you.

Speaker 3 (01:08:55):
Can dive into some of them, but at minimum, if
you're not going to dive into it, give me the
name and you're reading.

Speaker 1 (01:09:01):
Okay. Do you remember how I told you about The
Good Girl's Guide to Murder and I was like, you
need to read it. It's like cereal, Alicia.

Speaker 3 (01:09:07):
I just got it from the library. I just got
access to it on my Libby account. So in one
week I will finish it and I will give you
my thoughts back.

Speaker 1 (01:09:16):
You're gonna love it. I will say it is a
ya book, but it is so good. It's like cereal.
So a little bit of it, you'll be like, I
give this child, like cut it out. But it is
really good. But then there's a second and third book
that I read. They are it went totally. So if
the first book is serial the second book is Criminal

(01:09:38):
Minds from the FBI's perspective, and the third book is
Criminal Minds from the serial Killer's perspective. It was crazy,
it got so dark. Meredith I was like, whoa, but
it was so good.

Speaker 2 (01:09:51):
Wait, I'm so excited.

Speaker 3 (01:09:52):
I'm gonna have to submit the second and third immediately
because I'm gonna read this so fast.

Speaker 2 (01:09:56):
I'm gonna want the other ones.

Speaker 1 (01:09:57):
It was the show, right, and it was and it's
the show when I finished the show, which was different
in the sense that in the books they're in Connecticut
and then the show they're in the UK somewhere, so
that through me what uh.

Speaker 3 (01:10:11):
And like small changes are made like that that don't
need to be It didn't matter.

Speaker 1 (01:10:15):
I think the BBC got access though, so they were like,
we're going to do it. But the show was a
little different from the book, but still very good. The
actors were impeccable.

Speaker 2 (01:10:27):
But I should read the book first.

Speaker 1 (01:10:28):
Definitely read the book because I think the show leaves
some stuff out, Like I had a better understanding because
and it's only the first season the first book, there's
only one season. Okay, the second book I read, Do
you remember that book? Do you remember that football book
I told you about where they fall in love and
then she gets amnesia when she gets hit by the
car and then she loses the baby and thinks it's

(01:10:52):
her ex boyfriends, and I heard her boy friend. It
was so funny, so good. Okay, there was a second
book to that, which I know I mentioned, but I
didn't commend because it was terrible. I gave it two
fucking stars. But there was now a third book, and
so on my long road trip, I was like, I'm
going to read it, and I read it in a day.
It was so good and stupid. Ate it up, Meredith.
It's called trust Me always it is. There actually wasn't

(01:11:16):
enough football in it for me, but it was. It
was a love triangle. But when I tell you, I
did not know who she was going to end up
with in the end for a long time, because we
got points of view from both of the men, and
I ended up kind of liking.

Speaker 2 (01:11:33):
Both of them.

Speaker 1 (01:11:34):
Like at first, like, okay, you kind of see the
love triangle for me, and I'm like, oh, I hope,
I hope she picks this one guy. But then we
get a POV from the other guy, so I'm like, oh,
she must pick this other guy. But then we got
a POV from the guy I wanted originally, and I
was like, oh my god. But then I started like
both guys and it wasn't until like maybe seventy percent
into the book that I was like, Okay, now I
think I know who she's gonna end up with. Oh

(01:11:56):
my guessing, and I'm.

Speaker 2 (01:11:58):
Happy with who she ended up.

Speaker 1 (01:12:00):
Yes, I loved it, but I did end up liking
both the guys, so you can't know that. But it
was really good. There wasn't a lot of salaciousness in it,
like I would have preferred more. I didn't like, though
I'm gonna spoil it. I did like though that okay,
because you know, boys have secrets, and that's the whole
thing is like we have something's holding me back from
telling her I love her, right, Okay. The one guy

(01:12:22):
is known on campus is like such a playboy. He's
always been that way. He's like been a longtime friend
of this girl, so she's like, he's just a playboy,
you know, friends lovers types. The other guy is not friend,
but they were lovers first and they broke up, so
there's like a lot. But the whole friend group is like, yeah,
this guy is he even in the previous books, he's

(01:12:44):
always been like, you know, the playboy, he's always the
lover boy. He's like he's always got chicks. Sorry, I'm
gonna last. His secret as to why this girl might
not like him is that he is of.

Speaker 2 (01:12:58):
Wait, he's a playboy and a virgin.

Speaker 1 (01:13:00):
He actually hasn't slept with any of the women. He
just when people write shit like that, I think eventually
some girl would be like, I didn't actually sleep with him.
Another girl would be like me neither. No, All these
girls just I think want the.

Speaker 3 (01:13:14):
They would be like, like, he doesn't put out, like
I get nothing.

Speaker 1 (01:13:18):
Well, they're like, I think he gets them off. And
then like Lea, it was so because all the girls
were saying like what a great hookup he is, So
everyone just assumed he knew what he was.

Speaker 2 (01:13:33):
Down on them, but like I got it. Yeah, I
guess I wouldn't complain.

Speaker 1 (01:13:40):
Yeah, but if I was like, did you get that dick,
you'd be like, no, he didn't.

Speaker 3 (01:13:45):
Sleep with me, because you like, how was the sex
then at least the second or third time, And it's
like but then.

Speaker 1 (01:13:50):
I'm like, you know, we're this friend in my calculus
class also didn't sleep with him, Like we couldn't hit.

Speaker 2 (01:13:57):
It would get out there, it would get.

Speaker 1 (01:13:59):
Out especially if he's like, no, not play a football star.
You think someone would be like, I actually haven't slept
with like someone unless everyone was like, I just want
the cloud. So I'm just gonna say I slept with him.

Speaker 3 (01:14:13):
No, but how does he get that popular and that playboy?
And I also would be like, what's wrong with me? That?

Speaker 2 (01:14:19):
Like, he won't sleep with.

Speaker 1 (01:14:21):
Me ever yet. It was all suspicious, but it made
it extra funny that he was like, I have a
secret to tell you. I'm a virgin. I was like, yuck, God, yuck. Absolutely,
But the story overall was so cute. Oh my god,
I love the main girl. Anyway, I gave it four stars.

(01:14:42):
Then I read The One Hundred Years of Lenny and Margo,
which was so good. It's about these two women, Lenny
and Margo. Lenny is seventeen, Margo is eighty three, and
they're both terminally ill. Okay, so they're both in the
hospital and Lenny's really upset because she's gonna die at seventeen,
so she's I haven't even lived a life. But then
she meets Margo and she's like, between the two of us,

(01:15:04):
we've lived a hundred years. So she's like, they do
these heart classes, so she's like, what if we paint
a picture for every year, so it kind of tells
our story from when we're gone, you know. So then
we see kind of not so much Lenny's story. It's
told in the POV of Lenny and she's only lived
seventeen years, so there's not much. But she then listens
to Margo's story, which is so beautiful. It's a queer

(01:15:24):
love story. I was like dying. It was so cute.
I cried at the end of it. It was so cute.
I get it.

Speaker 3 (01:15:31):
It's like, does it like basically flash back and it's
as if you were each of the actual years that
they were living.

Speaker 1 (01:15:38):
Yeah, So like Margo will be like, let me tell
you about this story, and she'll tell a story from
that year, puts it intaining, and then it's like from
her POV and then it cuts back and it's very cute.
It was really good. Five stars. Oh my god, I
was like heart wrenched. Anyway, then I read Song of Achilles.
Do you remember that? Probably it's very popular. I also

(01:16:02):
gave it five stars. I also cried. I didn't know
it was kind of a known thing in Greek. I
don't know anything about Greek mythology that Achilles was gay.

Speaker 2 (01:16:12):
I didn't know that either.

Speaker 1 (01:16:13):
He had like a partner, because when I mentioned it
to my family, my dad was like, oh, is his
boyfriend in it? And I was like, I'm sorry. I
thought this was the fictional story. Apparently it's in Greek mythology.
His boyfriend.

Speaker 2 (01:16:26):
I don't know anything about Greek mythology.

Speaker 1 (01:16:29):
I don't either, but I want to learn now. And
the boyfriend's name is Petrocless. I don't know. It's from
his point of view, so I didn't have to say
his name that uh. But it's basically the story of
like how they met and how Achilles became what is
he the god of war? How he became a warrior? Yeah,

(01:16:51):
you know, and like his story of like how he
was defeated, but it's told from the point of view
of his boyfriend. But the ending is so heart wrenching.
I sobbed to the point that I texted my friend
who had also read this book, and I went, I
can't stop crying, and I'm on a trick. It was
so good. I give it five stars. So good. And

(01:17:11):
then the last book I read my road trip was
called The Friend Zone. It's by my favorite romance author,
Abby Jmenez. Yeah, I've seen that one and it was
fucking terrible. Let me tell you a little about it really. Yeah. Okay,
so I hated the main girl because she is a
say it with me now, a cool girl. She drinks
beer and eats burgers and doesn't do the drama. Please please.

(01:17:36):
The only thing I do is drama. So me and
her don't, Matt, that's not true.

Speaker 2 (01:17:40):
We drink beer any burgers, but we're not cool because
of it. It's just normal shit to do.

Speaker 1 (01:17:44):
And then I'm gonna gossip, unlike Kristen Berg. Yeah. So
literally the back of the book starts with Kristen doesn't
do drama. I hate that. That's a pick at fuck that.
So she she meets her best her best friend's husband's
best friend. Of course, her best friend's fiance's best friend.

(01:18:06):
They're gonna be They're gonna be Okay, I.

Speaker 2 (01:18:10):
Feel like I've read this.

Speaker 1 (01:18:11):
But she meets she meets Josh because he's gonna be
the best man and she's the maid of honor in
this wedding. And then they I don't know, they start
with like a fight, but then they immediately like hit
it off because they have to hang out together. And
then Josh is like, I think she's so cool with
her beers and stuff, and so he's like hanging out

(01:18:32):
with her, and then they like fall in love, but
they definitely can't date because she has a boyfriend who's
overseas in the Marines. But my boyfriend okay, yeah, horrible,
And then her boyfriend and her breakups. Now they could date,
but Kristen's still like, I can't date because plot twist,
Josh wants a big family, but Kristen can't have kids

(01:18:54):
because of her ovaries or so, I forget what it was,
but she's, yeah, she's inferred. But then they do end
up sleeping together, but they don't use protection because it's
fine she can't get pregnant anyways. But then she's like,
we have to break up because I love you so much.
I want you to go have a family with someone.
And he's like, Kristen, I'm literally telling you we can

(01:19:14):
do what we can adopt an other shit. I just
want to be with you, and she's like, I'm not
getting that option.

Speaker 2 (01:19:20):
It was so the reason you don't have a I
hate that if you.

Speaker 1 (01:19:24):
Ask me, it's so uncool of her. Yeah, see, if I'm.

Speaker 3 (01:19:31):
I understand if he because I'm pretty sure in the
book he's like, oh, yeah, I can't wait to have kids,
or like I can't.

Speaker 1 (01:19:35):
Yeah, and he said I can't wait to have a
big family, and then she said something like would you
ever adopt? And he's like, I want my own kids,
like yeah, And it's.

Speaker 3 (01:19:44):
The information and like that, it's the choice between losing
you and these fictional kids that don't exist. He will
pick you if you actually disclose the information.

Speaker 1 (01:19:56):
That is exactly what he says to her, and she's like, no,
I can't. But then they're brought back together because the
future husband dies in a motorcycle accident, so Josh lost
his best friend and now Kristen has to take care
of her best friend who's lost her fiance. So then
the worst part was Josh is literally grieving his best

(01:20:19):
friend and Christen's like, but we need space because we
can't fall in love. And I was like, oh my god,
you are uncool. If you ask me, I don't know
what cool girl is, but just shut the fuck up.
And then Josh is like, but I still love her.
At that point, I'd be like, you know what, fuck
you bitch, because they're bo Caraba.

Speaker 3 (01:20:36):
If you love this men, like, why wouldn't you want
to see him through losing his best friend? You don't
have to have sex with him in starter relationship, but
you can still be in his life, like losing you
doubles down the trauma.

Speaker 1 (01:20:50):
And then the worst part was Kristin's gonna have this
surgery to help with her insides, which will make her infertile.
But then the doctor's like, we actually can't operate because
you're pregnant. It happened on the first time you and
Josh ever slept together, which is crazy because she's been
having unprotective sex because her whole life. But that one

(01:21:11):
time with the guy she now is gonna marry is
the time she gets pregnant. Also, she was twenty four,
so I was like, oh my god, she's just a child.
I prefer my Abby Jimenez books when they're thirty plus
and doctors. That was really my series when I talked
about that, that was really it bad, so good. But

(01:21:32):
now I'm reading the second book in the.

Speaker 2 (01:21:34):
Series, so something about a playlist. It's been the best friend.

Speaker 4 (01:21:37):
They ever say, your playlist, Dann Did you read that too?

Speaker 2 (01:21:41):
No? I didn't. I couldn't handle it.

Speaker 1 (01:21:43):
It's so far a little better than the other one
because I do like the best friend better. She just
she's not as school.

Speaker 3 (01:21:52):
Tried to read them back to back and I just
wasn't ready to be like, oh, grieving person moves on.

Speaker 1 (01:21:59):
I will say, Kristin in this book still drives me
absolutely not, dude. Her best friend is like, I don't
know if I'm ready to date because I lost my
husband a month before my wedding, and Kristen's like, just
get digged down, girl. That is the craziest shit.

Speaker 2 (01:22:17):
I was like no, But.

Speaker 1 (01:22:21):
I will say I can sympathize with this character more
as she pushes away because she is like, I am
still fucking grieving, dude. I'm ablutely I hate the man
in this book who's like, that's okay, I'll still date you.
Stop get some help.

Speaker 2 (01:22:38):
Oh my god.

Speaker 1 (01:22:39):
He's like, come on tour with me because he's a musician,
and she's like, I'm literally, that's a lot. Just threw
out my dead fiancees closed two years later, and now
this is a lot happening.

Speaker 2 (01:22:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:22:52):
So well, I'll let you know what I end up
with that book, but stay out better reviews. I can't
wait for you to read good Girl's Got to Murder,
though I'm excited. Okay, now what do we do?

Speaker 3 (01:23:05):
Wait, I read a book and I'm curious how you.

Speaker 2 (01:23:08):
Would feel about this.

Speaker 3 (01:23:10):
Okay, I think it's cold if he would have been
with me, or yeah, I think it's like if he
would have been with me. The story is like two
best friends their mom. Their moms were best friends, and
they both get pregnant around.

Speaker 2 (01:23:22):
The same time.

Speaker 3 (01:23:23):
Girl main character's mom like her parents are married. And
then the guy mean character, his mom just like slept
with someone who's rich, and the rich guy did not
want to be a part of the life. So instead
of like him being a part of the son's life,
the rich dad bought like the house next door to
this other family so that these two get like raised
next to each other and they do holidays together like

(01:23:45):
they do everything.

Speaker 1 (01:23:46):
Wait, but he's not involved involved. I'll give you the
house next to the best your best friend.

Speaker 2 (01:23:53):
Okay, you've got your community, and like, I'll be over here.

Speaker 1 (01:23:56):
Okay, And honestly, though, if you're gonna be dead, be dead,
at least get in my house next to their bestie.
I'm not even mad at the dad right now.

Speaker 3 (01:24:05):
Okay, the dad's like not a character in this, and
so they get raised their whole life together, and by
like middle school, they stop hanging out. The kids stop
hanging out together. It's so weird for the moms. No,
they're like they won't speak at dinner anymore, like they
are nothing, but they do all their holidays together. Their
lives at school like split and they go to high

(01:24:27):
school and nobody knows that they're basically like family, and
they like start their own independent lives. Like the the
boy is a soccer player. He's like in the popular crowd,
and the girl is in this kind of like alternative crowd.
Like they're above everything because everything's so mainstream to defend out.

Speaker 1 (01:24:43):
I already, Oh, I love it all right.

Speaker 3 (01:24:46):
And so they like live their independent lives in high school,
and every once in a while they obviously like crossover
like people find out that they know each other and
live next door to each other, and they're.

Speaker 2 (01:24:54):
Isn't really friends?

Speaker 1 (01:24:55):
Is it like two thousand sallacious where you didn't talk
about outside your click, So it's like yeah, crazy, yes,
I eat that up, like.

Speaker 3 (01:25:03):
There was something happened and she mentioned like knowing the
guy's name is Finny, and they were like, why do
you call him Finny? His name's Finn, like at school
and she was like well, And then like the girl
has a boyfriend, and the boyfriend like tells the whole
friend group like no, they're like family, like they spend
Christmas together and they're all like what and she's like,

(01:25:23):
oh my god, like yeah, so like they're closing in
and they're like high school life and like this like
family life, but still like at the holidays, the kids
are like not speaking and the moms are always like
what is going on here?

Speaker 1 (01:25:37):
I'd be so pissed. If I was a mom, I'd
be like no, because listen, this is my best friend.
This is now your best friend.

Speaker 2 (01:25:44):
Correct.

Speaker 3 (01:25:45):
It's so awkward, and everyone's all like they're each of
them have like a significant other in high school and
like they'll like dabble into the like family like the
crossover family stuff, and they're always just like, oh, I'm here,
like this is weird to hang out with this girl
that we don't hang out with at school.

Speaker 2 (01:25:58):
So they go through their whole high school career.

Speaker 3 (01:26:00):
And at the very end of high school, the boy's
girlfriend goes to Europe for the summer, so she's out
of the picture, and the girl's boyfriend.

Speaker 2 (01:26:12):
Breaks up with her because he slept with her friend.

Speaker 1 (01:26:16):
It's the most insane thing, belatious.

Speaker 3 (01:26:20):
Yes, So the main boy, Finny, is like, oh my god,
are you okay?

Speaker 2 (01:26:24):
Like they're all worried about autumn.

Speaker 3 (01:26:25):
The girl and the moms are like, you need to
hang out with her, like get her out of bed.

Speaker 2 (01:26:30):
She's like clearly depressed.

Speaker 1 (01:26:31):
Yeah, and so he's like, okay, your boyfriend and your
best friend, geez correct.

Speaker 3 (01:26:37):
And so they start hanging out. Like now that school's over,
like it's summer, so they're hanging out like every day,
like kind of like they were in middle school, but
they can drive and do their own things, and so
like they're kind of reconnecting here and they're both going
to the same college in the fall, and so it's like,
oh my god, this.

Speaker 1 (01:26:51):
Is how did that happen? Oh? I don't know, okay, And.

Speaker 3 (01:26:56):
So they they hang out and they slowly kind of
start to talk about like what happened like over the
course of the years, and they're like making comments or
like there's like little things done. The boyfriend is like,
it's so weird, like you don't know my best friend
and like, I've never hung out with him. So they
start hang out with his best friend, and Finny like
walks inside at some point and the best friend is like,

(01:27:18):
don't mess with my like with my guy like you
you like ruined him. He has got taken so many
years to get over you and like not be in
love with you, Like, don't do this to him unless
you're in and she's like, what are you talking about.
He's not in love with me, Like we're like family,
like there's nothing going on, and the best friend is like,
there stop. Don't do this to him like he has

(01:27:40):
like his girlfriends abroad, like don't make like don't do this,
and she's like, I don't know what you're talking about.

Speaker 1 (01:27:46):
And so they can tell you hang out the cool one. Yes,
that's crazy, Oh my god, tell me everything.

Speaker 3 (01:27:52):
So then they're still hanging out, and they'll hang out
with like the best friend every once in a while,
and Autumn like is a writer, so she starts like
writing a story and it's basically like if like what
could have happened if they didn't stop being friends, And
so she like starts writing the story and he'll like
Finny will play like video games, and she'll be at
his house and she'll be like writing and he's like,
can I read it when you're done? And she's like no,

(01:28:14):
and he's like, what do you mean I can't read
your story when you're done? And she's like you can't,
like you're the one person who can't. And he's like,
what do you mean I'm the one person who can't.
So then she finishes the story and is like, fine,
you can read it, and like gives it to him
and he spends hours finishing this book and is like
what the fuck? He like, she goes to bed and
like is laying in I think his room asleep, and

(01:28:37):
she wakes up and he's standing there and he's like.

Speaker 1 (01:28:39):
What wait, she gave him permission to read it? Read it? Well?

Speaker 3 (01:28:43):
No, no, he's saying that to her, being like he didn't
what is the story?

Speaker 2 (01:28:47):
No?

Speaker 1 (01:28:47):
No read her diary? Okay? No, no, she gave it.

Speaker 3 (01:28:51):
To him and he's like why why, Like why wouldn't
you tell me you liked me? Like I wanted that?
And she was like what are you talking about? You
didn't like me back and he's like I was so
in love with you, Like why do you think I
kissed you? Like they kissed once when they were in
like sixth grade or like seventh grade or something, and
she was like, I thought you were experimenting on me,

(01:29:11):
like you were the popular one, Like like I just
thought like you were wondering what it would be like
to kiss me, not that like you loved me. And basically,
like he has spent his whole high school career like
pining over her anytime he thought he had a chance,
like he tried so hard, and then in high school,
like he started dating that girl because like the autumn
like started dating somebody. So he was like, all right, whatever,

(01:29:33):
I got to move on. And at some point in
high school, like the girlfriend of FNN like breaks up
with him because he's so obsessed with like his best
friend from growing up that they break up for a while,
and then like him, the girlfriend end up getting back together.
But they realized like they both have loved each other forever,
nobody said anything, so then they like Phinny is still

(01:29:55):
in a relationship and the girl is abroad and he's like,
I'm gonna break up with her, and the night before
she comes back home and he's going to break up
with her Autumn, Infinny hook up for the first time
and like they're like so in love. And the next
morning their moms were like out of town, so they
like have sex in one of their houses. Yeah, and
the moms have been like obviously wishing for this to happen,

(01:30:16):
so they be like yes, honestly, and they're like sitting
outside and he's about to leave to go break up
with the girlfriend, and they're like moms come home and
catch them and they're like, oh, this is so awkward.
Like they were kissing and they're like this is so awkward.
Like I'll come back and we'll like obviously talk to
our parents like together. And so Finny leaves, gets into

(01:30:37):
a car crash and dies.

Speaker 1 (01:30:38):
Yes, oh I wanted something dramatic, but he didn't have
to die. He died. They well, he didn't go to
the hospital for a little bit.

Speaker 3 (01:30:50):
No, puts his hand in like some water next to
the like girlfriend not Autumn, and it like he gets
like electrocuted.

Speaker 2 (01:30:57):
It's the dumbest way he dies.

Speaker 3 (01:30:59):
But you can even just die in the you guys
had sex one time and he's dead, Like you couldn't
have like had a week together before the girlfriend came
home like dad, and then the Autumn's pregnant, Autumns pregnant
with Finn's baby.

Speaker 2 (01:31:14):
Off No, I was.

Speaker 1 (01:31:17):
So good at die and it was so good, like
he can die. That's fine, don't make her pregnant.

Speaker 3 (01:31:24):
Don't make her pregnant, give them a few days and
then wait, it gets wor Celicia, she's so she doesn't
know she's pregnant yet, Okay, she's so upset that Pini
has died. And earlier in the book, her and her
high school boyfriend talked about like Romeo and Juliet because
like Autumn, like loves oh no.

Speaker 2 (01:31:43):
Reading or like books.

Speaker 3 (01:31:45):
She tries to kill herself, gets running in the hospital,
does it in his bedroom that has not been just
lit her wrist in his bedroom which hasn't been cleaned up,
which and they they mentioned there was blood on the sheets.
Literally nothing's been clean since they had sex.

Speaker 1 (01:32:04):
The like fi, I'm sorry, disgusting, Okay.

Speaker 3 (01:32:08):
She slits her wrists in his in his bedroom, wakes
up in the hospital and is like God, damn it,
Like I won't be able to do this again for
a while because like people are gonna watch me now,
and then they're like, you're pregnant, and she's like.

Speaker 2 (01:32:23):
And like, live for.

Speaker 1 (01:32:26):
She's gonna live for Finney's baby because it's gonna be
a part of him. Yes, still, I.

Speaker 2 (01:32:31):
Was like, are you kidding me?

Speaker 1 (01:32:34):
Oh? It did get I was so sad until you
said electrocuted. Then I was like, oh.

Speaker 2 (01:32:40):
The last one three chapters, I was like, no, this
is the worst ending ever.

Speaker 1 (01:32:45):
Oh my god, I hate that she's pregnant.

Speaker 2 (01:32:47):
I'm okay with their happy ending coming crashing down, but like.

Speaker 1 (01:32:50):
Of course I give them. Have him be like, okay,
in a car crash, there's no electrocution. Maybe he's paralyzed, yeah,
I don't know. And then he like he can't bear
to live. I don't know, he can die. That's fine,
But she doesn't need to be pregnant. But if you're
gonna make her really sad about it, she can maybe

(01:33:12):
like try to kill herself. I don't know if I
like that, but if she she wants to be sad,
And however she is sad. Fine, But then at the
end she realizes that she's gonna live her life for
Finn because that's what he would want. Don't give her
a baby.

Speaker 2 (01:33:31):
And I'm like, like, she was a virgin when they
slept together. He wasn't.

Speaker 1 (01:33:36):
And she's blood on those sheets.

Speaker 3 (01:33:37):
Yes, well, I'm like, that means the only time she
slept with the boy she's loved her whole life, it
wasn't good.

Speaker 2 (01:33:44):
Like give her a good babe.

Speaker 1 (01:33:46):
You know what that reminds me? Oh my god, this
is terrible. You know in Secret Life the American teenager,
when that one girl has sex and then someone dies.
Do they die?

Speaker 2 (01:34:00):
She's like, it was her dad.

Speaker 1 (01:34:01):
I killed him because I had sex. So what this
bitch is?

Speaker 2 (01:34:06):
Now? It was her dad and he died in a
plane crash.

Speaker 1 (01:34:10):
But God was so mad at her. They that's now
this bitch in the book she had sex and then
her boyfriend died. Yeah, she can never have sex again.
I'm sorry, it's not funny, but it's so I hate
a pregnancy trope.

Speaker 2 (01:34:27):
You well, I like this idea.

Speaker 3 (01:34:29):
I like this like because they were like there's a
book from his side and a book from her side,
so there's like clear moments where like you can tell
he's in love with her, but she's not getting it,
you know, And.

Speaker 2 (01:34:39):
It's like a nice build up.

Speaker 3 (01:34:40):
But then I was like, well, they also foreshadow like,
you know, Finny gets in a car crash at the
beginning of the book, so it's like pretty obvious that
he's going to die by the end. But like, again,
can you can they have a week of enjoying, like
knowing that they love each other? Not?

Speaker 2 (01:34:55):
But that's twelve.

Speaker 1 (01:34:56):
Hours I got, Yeah, give him a few days. But
I like that there was all this wasted time and
then he dies and it's like, I shouldn't waste time anymore, don't.
We don't need a child at eighteen. We don't need it.
We don't need it. Truly disgusting, all right, And they

(01:35:16):
should clean them sheets, and should they should.

Speaker 2 (01:35:19):
Clean his room? And I read that that his room
had been untouched since he died. I was like, that
means the sheets of it.

Speaker 1 (01:35:26):
Yeah, still smells weird in there. All right, that's a
good That was a great rendition. Ten out of ten,
Thank you. I was sad until you set electric. Did
you love like when he went car crash?

Speaker 3 (01:35:42):
I went yes, yes, I was like, all right, dram like,
but he didn't die in the car crash.

Speaker 2 (01:35:49):
He died and didn't even.

Speaker 1 (01:35:50):
Shatter away job kill him in the car crash anyway. Yeah, great,
are you. I know we're we could do a quick
Are you watching anything fun that we should talk about quickly?

Speaker 2 (01:36:00):
No?

Speaker 1 (01:36:01):
You really like the valley.

Speaker 3 (01:36:04):
I can't decide if I want to start. I'm ready
to dedicate my life to my TV again, so cool.
I just don't know if I want to watch Love
Island UK or Big Brother.

Speaker 1 (01:36:16):
My sister is doing a Big Brother poll. This is
her first year watching Big Brother and she's like, I'm
really enjoying it. That being said, she's never seen it before,
so she doesn't know how good it could get.

Speaker 3 (01:36:27):
That's true, But I'm just I saw Derek hosted a
challenge and I'm like, I love me some Derek. So
but I'm like, Love Island ends on Monday, so like
I could binge over ten days all of Love Island
UK season twelve and then start Big Brother. I catch
up to Big Brother current, so I think that might
be what I do. But like that cause set amount

(01:36:49):
of TV.

Speaker 1 (01:36:50):
That is a lot of TV, and it is summer.
Anyone I want a ten mile walk on Saturday, so
you lose a day.

Speaker 2 (01:36:56):
But I like, I'll watch it at work.

Speaker 1 (01:36:57):
You know that's true. I watch a lot of my
TV at work, so I caught up to the Valley
and uh gen x gen z NYC watched it. Yeah,
I watched all of it, all six episodes.

Speaker 2 (01:37:11):
I love it.

Speaker 1 (01:37:12):
I hate almost all of them. Actually, I don't know
their name. I gotta be honest, I don't know their names.

Speaker 2 (01:37:20):
Who's described them and I'll tell you that.

Speaker 1 (01:37:22):
Okay, name Skinny event planner dating Omar? Not dating Omar anymore?
Why can't we think of her name Gracie?

Speaker 2 (01:37:31):
No, No, it's not basic like that.

Speaker 1 (01:37:34):
Okay. I like her. Georgia, Georgia. She's chaos and I
love you too.

Speaker 3 (01:37:42):
I do a great reality TV character. I'ven't seen someone
like her in a long time. She's she's so quirky,
and I'm so open.

Speaker 1 (01:37:50):
She's so open. I'm just gonna pull up off at
the cast so I can do.

Speaker 3 (01:37:53):
You've got the Housewives kids, which are Arianna who just
moved to the city, Brooks, Gia, and Riley, and then
Charlie is the.

Speaker 1 (01:38:01):
Villain kinda go you gotta go slower. I was gonna
go one by one because I don't know any.

Speaker 3 (01:38:06):
Okay, Okay, let's start with Arianna, who just moved to
the city and she's from the Real Housewives of Atlanta Kids.

Speaker 1 (01:38:12):
She's dating Hudson, love her, Love Hudson. I'm such a
fan of both. I'm obsessed with her. However, can I
ask because I haven't watched Atlanta. I'm gonna start with
it when I do OC now because I have to
switch it up. So her mom stole all of her money,
but she still speaks to her mother.

Speaker 3 (01:38:32):
I'm about to do a timeline on kid Kim. That
family is insane. No, No, it's okay because, like Arianna's
is slightly different obviously, but Arianna, I'm sure got a
little bit of money from appearing on reale Housewives of Atlanta,
But what the bulk of her money was is that
family had a spin off from Atlanta, Yes, called Don't

(01:38:52):
Be Tardy for the Party, and so that six seasons.
And then she mentions in the show that she has
some brand deals when she was under the age of eighteen,
but even when she became a legal adult, her parents
still had access to her bank account and they used
her money to pay for their lifestyle. They are currently
broke getting a divorce, and their house went into foreclosure.

Speaker 1 (01:39:15):
I mean, Hudson is like, stop giving your mom money.
I think Hudson's great too. I love him too. I
think he's an awesome boyfriend.

Speaker 2 (01:39:22):
Is from a billionaire family. His family started Zaxby's.

Speaker 1 (01:39:26):
Whoa Has he been around? Have they been dating for
a while.

Speaker 3 (01:39:30):
They have been dating I think the last two or
three years, okay, but they dated when they were like
in high school, broke up for a little bit, she
Ariana dated someone else, and then they got back together.
So they've over the course of eight years. I think
they've known each other long time.

Speaker 1 (01:39:46):
Yes, yeah, it gives they've been around each other a
long time because they seem very open and honest with
each other, which I also really like for kids as young.
My other question is she still talks to her mom, question.

Speaker 3 (01:40:01):
Both her parents and doesn't really blame them. I mean,
she's upset, but like gives.

Speaker 1 (01:40:06):
Her mom money.

Speaker 3 (01:40:07):
I'm like, if you say all my money and I'm
not giving you anything.

Speaker 1 (01:40:10):
I saw and Hudson was like, cut it out. But
I can't tell you to cut it out, but cut
it out, you know. Yeah, Okay, Then we had Riley.
I like Riley. I'm sad that their moms fell out
because they get sucks when the kids get pulled into it,
but I really like Riley. I felt bad because she
was taking a lot of strays from a lot of.

Speaker 3 (01:40:28):
People, and especially that finale, I'm like, why aren't you
guys she wanted to say a mean comment, she said,
never mind, not gonna say it, and then you all
wound her to say it and then yell at her
for saying it.

Speaker 2 (01:40:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:40:41):
The fact that everyone's like, well, just say it, just
say it, and then she said it and they were like,
that was me and you said it. That was crazy.

Speaker 2 (01:40:48):
Gia.

Speaker 3 (01:40:49):
This week was on Watch What Happens Live. It was like,
I just want to dress that. Like, I see how
I came off, and I'd just been raised in this
family where like I had to be like really on
top of it and be like like a mom and
like I'm going to change that with my friends. And
I'm like, no, you're a bitch. You're terrible to your friends,
and now you want to make it better because people

(01:41:10):
are clocking your behavior and you still want to be
on this show.

Speaker 1 (01:41:14):
Yeah, no, fuck that anyway. Ava, Yeah I didn't wait.

Speaker 3 (01:41:22):
She's also ano baby. Her dad's the artist and has
the restaurants.

Speaker 1 (01:41:26):
And I don't think I like Ava.

Speaker 3 (01:41:28):
I don't either get her off my screen. She gives
us nothing. She wants to be on it now because
it's like a hit show, but like she gave us nothing.

Speaker 1 (01:41:36):
Yeah, I don't think I like Ava. I also didn't
like that, like we were doing what we had to
do when we were talking about drama and then she'd
be like, is this drama circle about me right now?
I didn't like. And then we have Amira.

Speaker 2 (01:41:49):
A lot.

Speaker 1 (01:41:50):
I don't think I like Amera that much either.

Speaker 2 (01:41:53):
She I want more.

Speaker 1 (01:41:54):
I don't care.

Speaker 3 (01:41:54):
She seems really cool and I just don't think she
was on it a lot. But I like her on
watch What Happens Live, and when I looked intoor, she
seemed really cool.

Speaker 1 (01:42:04):
Okay, I just it's to me indifferent.

Speaker 2 (01:42:07):
Yeah, he also was like a friend.

Speaker 1 (01:42:10):
Of Okay, I think I kind of liked the friend
of was he the one that helped Riley when she
was giving more than He seemed shocked when people would
be like and then you said this, and he'd be like.

Speaker 2 (01:42:22):
Why would you say that?

Speaker 1 (01:42:23):
Like he was he was a good like ab list
where you just get the side, like remember that girl
Noel on Martha's Vineyard and everyone's arguing she's just eating
like crustaceans. That was this guy. He's like eating his
dinner and they're like and then you made the ozembic
comment and he was like, what that was awesome?

Speaker 2 (01:42:44):
So I think I like him.

Speaker 1 (01:42:45):
Gia, get this bitch off my screen. Nah's Joe annoying.

Speaker 3 (01:42:53):
She's like going door to door two hours just to
commute into the city for what, Like I don't want
to see Teresa's backyard.

Speaker 1 (01:43:00):
The show is called Nextionen NYC. And she's like, it's
such an inconvenience to drive to New York. Also, it
is from Jersey. But she's like, there's only one way
in in one way out. No there's not. I don't
even know why there's and if there's traffic game over,
No there's not. There's multiple ways to get into New York.

Speaker 2 (01:43:18):
Well there's only one way for Gia because she's a
freaking princess, it seems.

Speaker 1 (01:43:22):
Also, are you even driving? I'm sure you're not. She
drove me absolutely up a wall. She was in everyone's business.
She was so mean to Riley, she was so rude
to Arion, Like she's mean to fucking everyone for what.

Speaker 3 (01:43:35):
Like not even in an interesting way. I will give
her at the dinner table, being like stop he came
to this dinner like let him be, But you don't
know the context, like if you're gonna fight, like let's
actually fight and be like what's your problem? You know,
like I don't mind being combative. But she would always
just tell people to stop talking. Well, she was the
talk more this is a show.

Speaker 1 (01:43:57):
She was the main one that was like, Ridley, you
have to say it, you have to say it. And
then when Riley said it was like Riley, how could
you do that?

Speaker 2 (01:44:04):
Fuck off?

Speaker 4 (01:44:05):
G y'all.

Speaker 1 (01:44:05):
Literally, you've been on this show for how long? Just
shut the fuck up. She's rude. I don't like her Brooks.
There's some weird about Brooks. I like him, I dude,
I really like I like. You know who I don't
like is Seth you the dad Brooks, Meredith's Mart's husband
is so fucking weird.

Speaker 2 (01:44:26):
Dude. His parents were in it so much.

Speaker 1 (01:44:29):
That's that's though. That's Brooks. He seems very dependent on her.
I thought his relationship being shown with Meredith was very
cute with his sister, was very cute with his dad.
Was even cute because like we saw the contrast of
like Charlie and his dad versus like Seth. Seth is
very loving and forth timing. Seth was just so weird, dude,
Like if I was Meredith file for divorce, same, I'm

(01:44:53):
trying to become pan sexual.

Speaker 2 (01:44:54):
What do you have a conversation about? Seth and Charlie
was crazy.

Speaker 1 (01:44:58):
That was so weird that Seth reached out and was like,
just do me, bro, let's grab dinner. Let's not He's
a thirty year old man. Calmed down, Okay, Georgia loved
We already talked about her. She's amazing. Who the fox Hudson?
Oh is that the room? No, that's the that's yeah,
that's everybody. And then Charlie, Yeah, oh, I hate him.

(01:45:18):
He's a weirdo dude. What a good villain?

Speaker 2 (01:45:22):
Like we need him.

Speaker 1 (01:45:23):
I heard though he got caught. Did you hear about
the New York crypto? Okay? I heard He's in the
background of that shit.

Speaker 2 (01:45:29):
That happened the weekend I was in New York.

Speaker 1 (01:45:32):
Yeah, the kidnapping. I Charlie gives terrible vibe.

Speaker 3 (01:45:39):
Charlie is still hanging out with Omar like actively right now,
Like I'm pretty sure they're either in Europe or we're
just in Europe together, and it's like, what are you
doing hanging out with Omar?

Speaker 2 (01:45:50):
Omar started a.

Speaker 3 (01:45:52):
Like an unregistered investment firm and scammed people out of
like one point seven million dollars, got fined by the SEC.

Speaker 2 (01:46:04):
But that's where his money has come from.

Speaker 1 (01:46:06):
Yeah, Omar the loser.

Speaker 2 (01:46:08):
Yes, at Yale out of his dorm room. He started
like an investment firm that was unregistered.

Speaker 1 (01:46:14):
You know how people are like, oh, but you got
to give nerds a chance because they're going to run
the world someday. You know what, if your gut is
telling you that is a loser, believe that is a loser.
Because I took one look at Omar and I went,
Georgia can do so much better than this fucking guy. Right,
he gave me bad vibes from the beginning.

Speaker 3 (01:46:34):
There's just some people who look weird in su in
the minute the bar im Omar is that guy.

Speaker 1 (01:46:42):
He was a weirdo. George is still living at Charlie's.

Speaker 3 (01:46:47):
They said on the watch What Happens Live that No,
she's not living with him. I can't imagine she would
be if if Charlie's hanging out with her ex boyfriend
who abandoned her and like what Thailand or where?

Speaker 1 (01:46:58):
Like, oh my god, yeah, he canceled your ticket. Right,
that was We tell you Omar's got a lot of
balls because he was punging out of his league and
he's so sure he is a weirdo. But it was
a show. It was how do I say this nicely?
I think it was good. I think it was definitely overhyped.
To me, Oh, it's been so good, and I was like,

(01:47:20):
it's actually maybe I am just now watching it from
the lens of a thirty year old. So like, these
people drive me nuts. I don't know what it is,
but it is similar to a young vandr Pump Rules,
but that didn't drive me as nuts. There was not
as many cheating scandals though, And these listen. I hope
we have very few gen Z listeners because I'm so sorry.

(01:47:40):
Gen Z is a generation I can't crack. They are
so different from millennials. I don't understand them. I can't
relate to him.

Speaker 2 (01:47:49):
They're all too cool. Line of like the vines.

Speaker 1 (01:47:53):
They're all too cool for school. But also they have
to be popular. They taught that. One girl literally talks
like there's no emotion in her voice. Everything is so
boring it. Brooks talks like that they love their parents
so much and they're all on their dime, but they
want to be so independent. I just I think that's

(01:48:16):
why I like Ariana. She gives big millennial vibes. She's
showing all her emotions. She's trying. She has to be
self sufficient because her mom stole all her money. But
Hudsons is here to help. But he also doesn't give billionaire,
which is a great vibe.

Speaker 2 (01:48:29):
I'm getting agreed.

Speaker 1 (01:48:31):
She's got like that.

Speaker 3 (01:48:32):
They're all I like that they're rich, like Arianna and
Hudson clearly make and like Hudson's from a very wealthy feeling,
but they're not braggy about it. They're not good about it,
like yeah, I still want you to pay me back
for what you owe me, but like I'll cover and
I'll bitch about it a little bit, but like, I'm
not going to be snooty about shit.

Speaker 1 (01:48:51):
I also watching a show in New York now is
so crazy to me because I'm sitting there being like,
oh my god, I'm on those streets. If I run
into these people. They're also in like heels and I'm
in my orthopedics and I'm like, we just lived different lives.
But then when they were like, yeah, we spent fourteen
grand at a club, I went, I'll never run into them.
I'll never spend fourteen grand fro on anything.

Speaker 2 (01:49:14):
Agreed, That's what I like.

Speaker 3 (01:49:15):
I think they did a really good job of talking
about the beef that happened when it wasn't filmed like
they did. Other shows really struggle with that on how
to tell that narrative, and I think that they did
a good job. It gave me hope for brab a
little bit because some of the shows have been falling
flat or people are talking about like over on Real
Hosters of Orange County, they're like, you're reaching out to

(01:49:36):
a blog or and it's like, I don't give a
shit about conflict over blogs leaking stories. I don't want
you to do it, but like that may be your
main fight, Like you guys need to have real life
touch some grass fights.

Speaker 1 (01:49:49):
Yeah, we've had that conversation before where we're like, we
have no idea what's happening, and I don't care.

Speaker 4 (01:49:54):
I will say my two critiques are I wish the
beef was better on gen Z they did good job
explaining it and presenting it, but the beef wasn't like
enough for me, like I need.

Speaker 1 (01:50:05):
I need you to wrong someone. I need the group
to be fucking fractal.

Speaker 3 (01:50:09):
That's why I think season two could be good with
this Charlie Omar relationship happening.

Speaker 1 (01:50:14):
If Charlie's invited back, if he's not like indicted, I
think he's crypto thing.

Speaker 2 (01:50:18):
He's he has no money, like he's in debt. He
needs the money.

Speaker 1 (01:50:23):
He will to all so crazy because he's a billionaire son.
He could literally do whatever he wants. I loved his
roommate who was always like I don't know what he does,
but I'm not only fans, and I'm like rock out
to this guy. But then my other critique is I
don't know what was happening with the closed captions.

Speaker 5 (01:50:42):
The words were so large some I was like like
medium words small word, medium word medium or large word
medium wre and I was like, what who did this?

Speaker 3 (01:50:54):
We don't need if that's a gen Z thing, like
I don't trying to do.

Speaker 2 (01:50:58):
I don't want it.

Speaker 1 (01:50:59):
I don't want give me the option because that was
very distracting. I didn't love it. But I love I'm
such a fan of Georgia. When she was like, I'm
going to do a bowler or was a bowling at
the already, I was like, just love bowling Georgia. I
was sitting there like, I'm actually be that's I don't

(01:51:20):
think your client oh greed.

Speaker 2 (01:51:22):
That's the thing.

Speaker 3 (01:51:23):
That's what I loved about this is they were like
the rest of the cast is like, we want to
go to this, and I'm like, that is your clientele,
it's not me.

Speaker 1 (01:51:29):
And they were taking hot photos of them bowling. I
was like, man, they've ever seen me and my family
like fucking compete at the alley. It was so good.
Ten out of ten.

Speaker 2 (01:51:42):
I'll have I influence to you.

Speaker 1 (01:51:44):
It was Jill, I told you, are you listening to anything?
I'm not. I'm just listening to music. But can I
make you listen to a story that I found out
on the road trip that I think you'll find funny? Okay, okay,
So picture my family. I have a mom and dad,
a younger brother and a younger sister. For contacts, my
younger brother has had like three open heart surgeries in

(01:52:07):
his life because he was born with heart condition. That's
important to the story anyway. He also has autism, so
he just spits things out sometimes. So we're at dinner
the first night, and it's we went to the crappiest
place on earth, but we try and eat not at change,
so we can try. Like the port to local cuisine

(01:52:28):
was terrible, but we were out to eat. And if
you should know one thing about me is I love Applebee's.
So the whole time, I was like, we should have
went to the Applebee's down the road. I love Applebee's
so much. We've taught I'm sure we've talked about it before.
I love apple Bee's. Everything good. They even shut the
one down in my town, which pisses me off. But
everything good was always at apple Bee's. We weren't a

(01:52:50):
rich family and we weren't fancy, so good things happened.
We go to Applebee's, you know, like after a dance recital,
we go to Applebee's. We got good grades, We're going
to apple Bee's. Like that was like the like my
parents would be like, you've been good all week, Let's
go to apple Bee's. Oh my god, give me the
chicken tenders and a lemonade. I'm so in I love
so I was hyping it up, and I was like,
I'm actually really sad because we don't have any Applebee's

(01:53:12):
in our town anymore, so we never go. We should
have went to this apple Bee's because I love apple Bee's.
I was telling everyone how much I love Applebee's, and
then my brother I had a fucking nowhere goes The
last time I was at Applebee's, mom and dad told
me I had to have open heart surgery, and we
all stopped in our tracks and I went what he was?
He like looks and he's like mm hmm. And my

(01:53:34):
mom was like, did we really? My mom doesn't even
remember my brother just like nods. My mom is like, wait,
I need background. So we found out because my brother
remembers everything.

Speaker 2 (01:53:45):
Everything.

Speaker 1 (01:53:45):
Yeah, my grandma had come over to stay with me
and my sister. We weren't invited to Applebee's, so my
mom and dad took my brother out, and so I
start laughing because I'm like, oh my god. He thought
he was getting like a single date night with mom
and dad, like because he was up bait. He was
probably like nine, not even. He thought he was just

(01:54:07):
here to hang out with mom and dad. He was
then for to night yeah, and they go to Applebee's
and he's there like, hey, buddy, you gotta have another
open heart surgery. It's just like funny.

Speaker 3 (01:54:19):
They're like, to lighten the load of the news were delivered,
we do get you some chicken tender. You're right, your
feeling did everything at Applebee's.

Speaker 1 (01:54:29):
I started laughing and I go, did you even let
him order first? Due? Did you just jump in? And
you're like, and now you can order anything on the menu.
My mom was like, I have no idea, and my
sister was like, you've tainted rams, Like we could never
go back to el.

Speaker 2 (01:54:45):
My God, my favorite place.

Speaker 1 (01:54:49):
It We're so funny, you know. I'm like, I can't
eat an Applebee's any You're like, I'm gonna have to
do it with my brother's not around.

Speaker 2 (01:54:57):
I gotta find my fix picture.

Speaker 1 (01:55:00):
My little brother just like so excited, and mom and
dad are like, you can get anything you want. And
he's like, I'm gonna have the chicken tenders and they're like, nick, listen,
before the chicken tenders come, we gotta like a diet soda.
But listen, you can't have any plants this summer because
we're gonna have open heart surgery and then as a

(01:55:22):
dread open as a joke because the open heart surgery
I think the last time he did it it was
like a sixty percent success rate, so it is a
really major surgery. And my sister and I were like,
oh my god, Applebee's was his last meal. Mom was like,
that's not he wasn't having open hearts or dream the
next day, and we're like, but that's the meal he's
gonna remember forever.

Speaker 3 (01:55:42):
Yeah, and every time he sees an Applebee's he probably
that's what he's said.

Speaker 1 (01:55:48):
I know. I was like, you've traumatized him, and now
I can never You couldn't have even just done it
in chilies. We don't even like chilies.

Speaker 2 (01:55:54):
But I go onto a single unit location and traumatized
him so we don't have to be followed around with it.

Speaker 1 (01:56:00):
Go to the steakhouse that we never go to because
we were poor. Good my god. So that's my story
about apples, damn brother good story to none. Right, Yeah, seriously, Yeah,
that was a good one. Anyway. This was a great episode,
a low long, but a lot of stuff to talk about.
Do all the things I mentioned at the beginning of

(01:56:21):
the episode, and with that, love you, thanks for joining. Bye,
