Speaker 1 (00:16):
Hi everyone.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Hey, I'm Alicia and I'm Meredith and this is also
podcast one Season Wonder Edition Jackson Brittany Take Kentucky. Meredith
has said this is what we're doing, and I said, whatever, Mom,
I guess and I'll.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
Say I will torture you. But for six episodes only, babe.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
At one point Meredith said, oh, there's eight episodes, and
I was about to be like veto absolute Vito, I
never wanted to see this show.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
Well, also, I guess I set the expectation in a
really harsh manner in my mind and got way better
outcomes because I thought it was eight episodes, hour long episodes.
Come to find out it's six thirty minute episodes. Awesome, Wow, easy,
preezy beautiful here.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
Also, can I say it's way more enjoyable knowing that
they broke up.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
I'm glad you said that because we keep all of
our rewatches or like true rewatches free, right, But I'm sorry,
I can't get through this without no. This is a
real time what is happening today, Especially because this technically
is a one season Wonder.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
I was gonna say, keep it true to our one
season wonders because we always talk about where are they now?
We always I'm still gonna stay true to that. There's
only six people I could pick six episodes. I mean,
there aren't a lot of characters that care that much
about But we're gonna update at the end anyway, So

(01:44):
I figure.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
Okay, good, good, good, Because for anybody who doesn't know
this world, Jackson Brittany did get married, did get are
working on a divorce currently.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
They got married in Versailles, which is in Kentucky, not
in France.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
Don't confuse the two. I know they're easily confused.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
There's Versai that's in France, ver sales and a little twang.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
They both have a castle, so like, that's what confuses.
I think.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
And listen, I see where you would think you were
in France, but you're not.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
You're in Verse in Kentucky getting married.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
So yeah, for those of you who don't know, they
got married, and they recently, as far as like maybe
a year or a little over a year course, And man,
is that glorious? Who could have seen it coming? Let
me tell you, watching that show, I would have never
known they listening perfect, that's sarcasm. Absolutely, Sometimes you just
need to clarify this man's crazy.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
Oh my god.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
Anyway, this is great.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
Before we get into the actual episode, though, check us
out on all these really fun things we got on Instagram,
a TikTok at, YouTube, a Patreon. All the links are
in a description. Please be sure to rate, review, subscribe.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
We do a lot of fun episode.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
If you're just here for vander Pump and Jackson, Brittany
Kate Ta Kentucky, expand your horizons. We have a ton
of other things that you could look into. We have
our also shows. We have Summerhouse, We do Summerhouse, Mitha's Vineyard.
If that ever comes back, bravo. I swear to God
bring them back. And then all of our one season
wonders have been absolute joys. I so this is gonna

(03:20):
be the worst, I'm saying, and now this is gonna
be my least favorite. Although Princess of Malibu is pretty bad.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
That's a thing. I think I'm gonna enjoy talking about
this one again. Okay, ching, watching love and talking loves
are different. The ones we hate watching the most, we
do enjoy talking about the most.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
Let's see absolutely true. All right, well, let's uh, let's
get this going, shall we.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
Okay, Well, this season on Jackson take Kentucky all right,
it's short and sweet. We got frogs jumping, Jackson overalls,
Buffalo stampeding Jackson Kimbo being sprayed down with maybe like
deer You're in? Is Jackson Burney's one? When are they
getting married? He wants to get married soon?

Speaker 2 (04:05):
Keep going, I'm listening.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
Jackson gets so bored in Kentucky. What will be my
favorite episode? Is Jack's going to church? Jack's wait, Jack's
getting yelled at by Brittany's friends. Jackson Brittany arguing. Is
Jackson controlling Britney? More fighting? And jack storms off. On
the last day.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
He made it?

Speaker 3 (04:25):
What is this?

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Two weeks too? Last day, he cracks, could you do
two weeks in Kentucky like this?

Speaker 3 (04:33):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (04:34):
Could you do it for yourself? And could you do
it for the person you love?

Speaker 3 (04:38):
Well? I have a family from southern Indiana near the
Kentucky border, so okay, I feel like I have some
slight experience of going to this area of the country.
And I will say my dad enacted a twenty four
hour rule to go visit my mom's family growing up
because he was like, I'm not doing this. Half of

(04:59):
my cousin's town didn't have cell service when I was
growing up. I still get lost. It is a small town,
and I me and my sister put like dots on
the map to be like, let's make sure we can
go get our coffee in the morning. So no, I
would not willingly do like this. Yeah, like again with family,
I think the family piece. I don't think going to Kentucky.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
Or so this was your family, Yeah, could you?

Speaker 3 (05:24):
I would not. I don't want to do this. I
definitely want to do this for somebody else's family.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
Don't care how much I love you.

Speaker 3 (05:34):
You would have to pay me the right amount to
do this. In both What do you think they're making
off this show?

Speaker 2 (05:40):
I what?

Speaker 1 (05:42):
What a weird question?

Speaker 2 (05:43):
I don't know, not much.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
It was two weeks, I know.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
But life, I could. I would go do this for
five hundred K. I would go do this, Okay fair?

Speaker 1 (05:52):
I think?

Speaker 2 (05:52):
Yeah? For the right dollar mountain sure.

Speaker 3 (05:54):
Yeah, I like that's the thing. They're not just going
to do this. They're going to do this and getting paid.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
I think I could do this. I don't think i'd
want to, but I think I could for two weeks.
The working part would freak me out. If you're like,
go to the animal that but living on this.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
Is your own family, I could do that. I guess
I could do it my own.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
Don't like animals, but not that I don't like animals.
That sounded bad.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
I don't want to take care of animals. I'm too
scared that.

Speaker 3 (06:20):
It being a tore and farm animals are different than just.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
Like having it. However, if it was the person I
was dating, I would maybe sweeten the deal and be like,
could we do five days?

Speaker 3 (06:32):
How you go out and see your family.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
I'll meet you there at the tail end and we'll
fly out of Bluegrass Airport together? How about that?

Speaker 1 (06:41):
How about that?

Speaker 2 (06:42):
All right? Well, we start in La, a save zone for.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
Us my god, yes, I mean for again. If you
haven't seen Vander pump Rolls, this is your time to
go start watching it, because.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
These the good old days.

Speaker 3 (06:54):
We're at the world famous Sir Restaurant in La where
Jackson Brittany work, and Lisa walks in their boss and
they're talking to her about how they were going to
leave tomorrow to go to Kentucky and Jackson's met her family.
But it is a little bit different to be going
and staying there for two weeks, and Jackson's biggest issue
is that they have like religious differences, which we saw

(07:16):
this actually in chronological order of Vanner Pumper Roules. We
are after season five and Jackson did go to church
with Brittany's mom in season It was glorious.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
It was absolutely glorious. I have no notes for that, no,
but I can't wait to see it again. Like that
made me excited. I love Jackson church. I hate this
man all the time. Unless he's forced to go to church.
I'm obsessed with him, so entertaining it. Not only will
we get church, but we will get Jack's working on

(07:49):
Brittany's family's farm and that he's a little worried about
because that'll also be a big.

Speaker 3 (07:55):
Difference for him.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
My favorite was in This Sea and Brittany's like, Okay,
I'm gonna go back to my tables, and then Lisa
looks at Jackson is like, how are you gonna bullshit
this family for two weeks?

Speaker 1 (08:07):
And He's like, yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
And I was like, man, you can't even pretend that
you fucking care. You can't even eat camera in your face,
be like I actually really like her, and I want
to marry her. He's straight up like, I fucking hate
her family. I don't want to be here. Fuck these
country folks. Like he's straight up terrible all the time.

Speaker 3 (08:26):
Even when the cameras go down, like you're still with
her family. That's the thing is we are used to too,
Like he lives two different worlds sometimes I think on
camera and then he has his off camera. But like
her family will still be he still has to be
on and bullshitting with the family.

Speaker 2 (08:44):
No, he's a bad bullshitter. He's a bad bullshitter. He
is anyway, all right. Well, by the Kentucky.

Speaker 3 (08:53):
We've touched down in the small airport of Kentucky, Man
Brittany's mom is here to pick them up. And Brittary's
that her and Sherry are just like sisters, which I
was like deserting.

Speaker 1 (09:05):
That's terrible.

Speaker 2 (09:05):
Will never be sisters with your mom. Your mom shouldn't
be your friend.

Speaker 3 (09:09):
No.

Speaker 2 (09:11):
Hot take, I think. But and Sherry, listen, Sherry is
one of my favorite characters because she is this country
woman right and she looks like she has gotten so
much work done ever since her daughter moved to l A.
Like she just it's like not La work it is clearly.

Speaker 3 (09:31):
Kentucky with Kentucky.

Speaker 2 (09:33):
Sorry, Sherry, but you knew you're also Tan Sherry in
the winter. There's a lot of questions.

Speaker 3 (09:40):
Also, the silver Lipstick will never.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
See Sherry is so la. I can't handle it.

Speaker 3 (09:49):
I think the Silver Lipstick happened before Brittany ever went
to l a girl.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
Sherry said, I'm gonna be on TV at the Silver
go get let me go to the biggest sitting near
meet find a makeup store.

Speaker 3 (10:04):
And let me pull some fun things.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
No love it.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
So, yeah, Sherry's here, Hey, Sherry.

Speaker 3 (10:10):
Sherry is here, and Sherry likes Jack. So like this
is the best person to.

Speaker 2 (10:14):
Pick red red flat. My parents better have better radar
than this. Like Sherry's on a different planet if she
thinks this man is good for her daughter. I think
my parents would clock his bullshit a mile away.

Speaker 3 (10:27):
Agree better they batter my parents like that because maybe
they wanted me to be a star. That's what I
can only assume, Like Sherry wanted for Brittany, Like you
can appreciate that, Like, Okay, she made it on a
TV show, But this man still sucks.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
Yeah, clearly, But from whatever, we're not here to judge
for those of you who maybe aren't familiar with vander
Pump rules, and like us, we have been calling this
since the moment we saw them on TV together. So
like for us to now sit here kind of vindicated,
it's hard to like in real time, little bit.

Speaker 3 (11:01):
There's the thing. We were vindicated every single year of
Vanner Pump Rules, not even this just this year, Like
every year we saw that man suck and like Brittany
is the only one who stayed with him for that long.
There's no victim on your side.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
But I've just got a beautiful son out of it.

Speaker 3 (11:19):
But correct, there were many of red flags. There were
signs season four, I think when she showed up and
present day.

Speaker 1 (11:28):
Were you blind or were you blind? Suck you did?
You're blinded?

Speaker 2 (11:32):
You know?

Speaker 1 (11:32):
Anyway? Okay, great, either way.

Speaker 3 (11:35):
We're here in brittany small town of Winchester, Kentucky, and
she grew up on a four hundred acre farm where
her grandmother's side Mamma.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
Mamma, mamma's beard cheese.

Speaker 3 (11:48):
Mamma's don't worry, ma'ma's beard cheese isn't around yet in
the Vanner Pump world. But boy do we know it
in real.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
World, Mama.

Speaker 3 (11:55):
Yeah, so we got mamma, Brittany's mom, Sherry, and two
of her aunts live on this property together, which I
mean plenty of space, but still four hundred acres.

Speaker 1 (12:06):
My family doesn't have to see me every day.

Speaker 2 (12:08):
That's awesome, I know. But like those they're barely neighbor
They're ten acres away.

Speaker 3 (12:14):
That's that's true.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
That's incredible.

Speaker 2 (12:16):
Growing up in the suburbs, I had closer neighbors than
the point.

Speaker 4 (12:19):
Like.

Speaker 3 (12:20):
Also, this family seems like the type to have four
hundred acres and put their houses all right next to
each other.

Speaker 2 (12:26):
For sure. That's why when I move out, I'm the
furthest house near the busiest road.

Speaker 3 (12:32):
So I you know what, I will walk across all
four hundred acres to come see you. Yeah, it's it's cool.

Speaker 1 (12:39):
We're no.

Speaker 2 (12:40):
There has to be a road somewhere on these this
property to get me to your house for dinner, no worries.

Speaker 3 (12:46):
But we pull up to ma'amma's house and she is
so excited to see Jack's not because she likes him,
but because she has not had a man in her
like around her house for a while, and she has
a lot of shit for Jacks to do, and I
was like, hell, yeah, put that me into work.

Speaker 2 (13:00):
Yeah, but that man's never seen a hard day's work
in his life, So good luck Mayamma.

Speaker 3 (13:04):
Good point. Good point. But we go to dinner and
we meet Brittany's sister Tiffany, also her brother Wes, and
sister in law Militia. And also I didn't know this
Sherry's fourth husband, Joel. I didn't know she was on
her four so.

Speaker 2 (13:17):
I don't know Cherry was on four husbands.

Speaker 1 (13:20):
That was shocking.

Speaker 2 (13:21):
I not that there again, there's anything wrong with that,
but Sherry, you were really holding out. I felt like
I knew you, and now yes here I am. I
don't know anything about you four husband shee.

Speaker 3 (13:32):
Whoa whoa? Can we back it up? Obviously we have
like Brittany's dad being one husband. I don't know which
number he is in the lineup because I have no
idea who these.

Speaker 1 (13:42):
Yeah, we're missing two whole husbands.

Speaker 2 (13:44):
Sherry, I want a full time give me a life
like Cory.

Speaker 3 (13:47):
Yeah, whoa? Back it up? Sit in the interview chair,
tell us exactly.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
Yeah, then we have we have dinner. Can I say
this house looked so remember the simple life. That's what
this This livering room or dining room looked like. It
gave that kind of.

Speaker 3 (14:04):
Ins small Middle America. Yeah, lots of yellow wood.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
Lots of the wooden chairs and the wooden table, with
like the layout that they have where the living room
is like open to the open concept to the dining room,
but then the kitchen has like a wall you have
to walk through. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (14:24):
Man, they hit hard.

Speaker 3 (14:26):
And the islands were huge, like they were just becoming
a thing. Everybody had an island, a big yeah.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
Yeah, yeah, god awesome. Sorry, go on dinner.

Speaker 3 (14:35):
We're having dinner and we're talking about how there's gonna
be a bonfire tomorrow and we're really excited to get
everybody together in the family, but also Britney's friends will
be there. And Mamma is like, hey, the one bool
is no alcohol because Paul Paul didn't believe in alcohol
and he passed a year ago, and Mamma holds everything
up for that man. Whatever he believed in, we got it.

Speaker 1 (14:56):
Pau Paul was crazy. That's a fun name.

Speaker 3 (15:00):
And you think that ma'ama would be the only one.

Speaker 2 (15:03):
Pama I don't know, Pop Papa.

Speaker 3 (15:06):
Papa, Papa, I don't know. I don't even know anymore, ma'ama,
but pama, pama, I.

Speaker 2 (15:17):
Don't know what they call this man, but yeah, he's so.
He was sober and that's no.

Speaker 4 (15:22):
No, I didn't believe in alcohol, and I was like,
you know what, I may he rest in peace, but
I do not need to be around this personally.

Speaker 2 (15:33):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (15:34):
We're not aligned. Love you, we're not aligned.

Speaker 3 (15:36):
We're not aligned. And I do understand Jackson's struggle for
the next two weeks, but you can hold out on
a fucking bonfire.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
Listen, listen, listen. I understand. All I would want to
do in this small town is also drake, because this
is the perfect place to do that. If I'm going
to this, I'm most excited to be like, we're gonna.

Speaker 3 (15:57):
Get mad to go to the town a.

Speaker 1 (16:00):
Barn dance or some shit. It's very dope, right.

Speaker 2 (16:04):
There's also nothing better than sitting around a bonfire and drinking.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
That is like love it favorite things to do.

Speaker 2 (16:11):
However, if I'm visiting my boyfriend girlfriend's family and this
is the rule.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
I'm not gonna be the one to break it.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
I'm not the one to break it and someone else.

Speaker 3 (16:23):
It's like day one, day two maybe, so like in
my min I'm like, wow, if mamma is like, we
do not consume alcohol, if this is a dry town,
I'd be like, wow, this sucks. But like it's just
mamma and Papa's the property. We can find somewhere else.
We're gonna be fine. And Jack makes a joke about it.
I was like, no, no.

Speaker 2 (16:42):
Well, mamma is gonna be in bed by eight, so
just we can drink after Mamma goes to sleep.

Speaker 3 (16:50):
Good point, it's anti time you can find.

Speaker 1 (16:53):
You just have to be smart about it.

Speaker 2 (16:55):
But no, sorry, sorry spoiler, we're not smart about it.

Speaker 3 (16:59):
Go on next, we move on to because if we remember,
ma'ama has a lot for Jacks to do when he's
here for these two weeks. So we show Jacks the
overalls that he has for working in and like, we
got to whip this man into shape because his chunky
sweaterline won't do here in Kentucky.

Speaker 1 (17:17):
Nope, nope, never. He's got boots too. I think he
gets it all.

Speaker 3 (17:21):
Oh yeah, gets the full get up. So we've beats
one and two no alcohol and he's working, and now
we've got to hit beat number three witches. When the
fuck are these two getting married? Because obviously they're living
in sin.

Speaker 2 (17:37):
They're living in absolute sin in LA. When are we
gonna get married? It's a small town. Everyone's married by nineteen,
kids by twenty.

Speaker 1 (17:47):
What are we doing.

Speaker 2 (17:49):
Living in sin at thirty seven years old, Jax Taylor.

Speaker 3 (17:54):
Yeah, Jackson's like, we're working towards it, but he is.
He's a little stressed because people in the middle of America,
especially Kentucky, do move fast. So I get the family asking.
I also understand Jack's this entire episode being like, it's
been a year and a half, can you wait just
to bele listen.

Speaker 1 (18:11):
I get that.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
I would hope because I feel like if this was
my family, I would be like, look, I know you're
gonna ask about marriage, but like, we are taking our time. However,
I think Brittany wants that ring. She's all for it.

Speaker 3 (18:25):
She's like and yeah, tell me more, m.

Speaker 2 (18:28):
Hm, Yeah, Britny wants it, so she's not stopping her family,
which I get Jat. I'm projects on this one. Shut
the fuck up. I barely know this woman. She probably
shouldn't even be living with me at this point, but
here we are.

Speaker 3 (18:41):
So well, she also moved to La into his for
him studio apartment.

Speaker 2 (18:47):
Listen, listen, I see a lot of sides. He need
to be married at this point.

Speaker 3 (18:52):
So if I'm her family, I'm one hundred percent asking
this on TV because I feel like this is the
only time I can really press you for answers, and
you're gonna give the best looking answer, So let's get
that on record.

Speaker 2 (19:03):
Also, you won't hear the end of me bothering you
about how are you gonna treat my sister?

Speaker 3 (19:07):
And you know, producers are in all of these people's ears,
being like this is our big conflict.

Speaker 2 (19:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
Great, Well we move on to Brittany's mom's house and
they're their assign to the bunk bedroom because listen, you
can live in sin at your house, but not in
our house. Like not happening. You're sleeping in the same
bed because you aren't married.

Speaker 2 (19:29):
My mom used to say, like in college, I never
brought a boy home because it wasn't Sorry, you're not
gonna meet My family's not gonna meet him.

Speaker 1 (19:37):
We're separate.

Speaker 2 (19:38):
But my mom always was like, you guys wouldn't be
sleeping in the same bed. You guys would like he
could sleep on the couch or you get you both
can sleep on separate couches if you really want, but
like you're not in the same bed now.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
I feel like she'd be like, with the fuck what?

Speaker 2 (19:52):
Like the minute I turned twenty five, I feel like
she'd be like, hey, it's your life at this point.

Speaker 1 (19:57):
But I understand too, it's someone else's.

Speaker 3 (19:59):
Home, Like they're gonna make them their rules.

Speaker 1 (20:03):
Yes, thank you for letting me say whatever you want.

Speaker 3 (20:06):
My friends and I've talked about this a little bit
over the last like a few months, because friends are
going to their significant others like lake houses or something,
and we were like, yeah, what are the rules with
each family? Like at what age is it okay? And
also if you have like younger siblings or cousins and
they're bringing a significant other, makes them a little bit
more obvious, Like we're thirty, like it doesn't find her anymore.

(20:28):
But like then you have a different set of rules
for people maybe who are younger, and it gets weird,
but I agree, it's it's whoever's house you're going to.

Speaker 2 (20:36):
Yeah, and like, also, here's here's my biggest thing. If
I'm at my parents, the chances of our of us
hooking up anyway?

Speaker 3 (20:45):
Are it's it's especially the first few times, like not
absolutely not, so like is the point?

Speaker 2 (20:52):
And if you have, if we have to sleep in
supper beds, who even cares? You know, we're not We're
not doing it. I would rather you die in front
of my eyes then me hook up with you in
my parents' home. Oh that's crazy, But.

Speaker 3 (21:04):
I will say, when I saw these bunk beds then
and one's a twin up top and like a queen
on bottom, I'm like, you're sleeping in the same bed,
Like this is such a bulshit.

Speaker 2 (21:13):
Obviously, but don't hook up, Sherry's right now?

Speaker 3 (21:16):
No, no, you Okay, I would rather live without sex
for two weeks than like, sure, be in a dry
town without alcohol for two weeks, Like I can easily
have sex for two weeks, like especially parents home.

Speaker 2 (21:30):
I don't know, It's just another one of those disrespectful
things where like okay, yo, we can't drink alcohol in
the property, but like, let's leave the property, go get alcohol.
If that's the rule, it'd be the same thing here.
I think it would be different if Brittany.

Speaker 3 (21:42):
Goes one saying at the motel down the street.

Speaker 2 (21:45):
Sure, if Brittany was the one though that was like,
let's just sleep in the same bed, let's just drink alcohol,
Like okay, this is her family, so if we get
in trouble, like fire on you. But for Jacks to
be the one that's like we're going to sleep in
the same bed and we're going to drink alcohol.

Speaker 3 (22:00):
And pushing it immediately because Brittany here has to then
also say like remind like we are not drinking alcohol
at the bonfire, like it's just not happening. It won't fly.
I don't want to do this, especially once you know
that Mayamma said that because of like Papa's rules. I
gotta hate fucking Aapa.

Speaker 2 (22:17):
I hate passing.

Speaker 3 (22:18):
Back to back, but like hearing that, like it was
such important and she's just trying to like hold her
husband's memory alive and like what he wanted, Like yeah,
me not do it.

Speaker 1 (22:28):
Even come on anyway?

Speaker 2 (22:30):
Okay, Well, what we're.

Speaker 3 (22:31):
Onto the next morning and Mamma is here at seven
thirty a m. To collect Jacks for his day on
the farm, and we immediately off go into working with
the chickens and the horses, and we're just getting montages
of Jack's on the farm doing all the work, and
then back at the home, Brittany and her mom are
cooking breakfasts, and Brittany says that immediately, like, over the

(22:56):
last few months and just in general, Jack's has been
like really grumpy and they've been arguing a lot. So
like this trip is not starting or like not they're
not in a great place in the relationship coming into
this trip.

Speaker 1 (23:07):
But no, he doesn't like her. It's so long he
doesn't really like her.

Speaker 3 (23:12):
I mean he hates all women, So like there's the
first problem. Yeah, I think he mets Brittany and then
now he's gonna be on this farm with her family
for two weeks and.

Speaker 1 (23:20):
Now he resent her.

Speaker 2 (23:21):
We listen if you're in the vander Pump rules. Timeline
add this in. This was around the time that Jackson
was saying he pays for everything, Brittany does nothing. He's
the provider and she's ungrateful. And now she's begging for
a ring he resents.

Speaker 3 (23:36):
He just had that in season five and in front
of her own mom, he was saying, front of her
share God, so would Sherry's still a fan somehow, But
you know what that makes me wonder because we did
see that in season five of vander Pump Rules, like
he was already doing that stuff and they were dating.
Now in present day, we know he was berating her
even more in front of her family, like he eased

(23:57):
them into it too, like he has been doing it
since day one.

Speaker 2 (24:01):
Yeah, this day dot great, So Sherry Flags were right
there correct.

Speaker 3 (24:07):
Jack's stay on the farm, Brittany had some time with
her mom and in the nighttime we go over to
Britney's dad's house and we meet Linda, like Britney's stepmom.

Speaker 1 (24:16):
We meet her which number yeah, you know what which
way the.

Speaker 3 (24:20):
Dad maybe is only on number two? We meet Boston,
the brother, which I think is just her dad's son.
I think so too, And then I wanted to make
a whole family tree by the way, because I'm like
Slully getting confused by so many people that are mentioned
one time. But we also then have Luke and Bryden,
which are Britney's nephews from her sister who we met.

Speaker 2 (24:41):
Yes, yes, yeah.

Speaker 3 (24:42):
We have this big family dinner and we sit down
and Jack's eats frog legs for the first time and
he seems a little stressed, but don't worry. They taste
just like chicken, and I'm curious. Have you ever had
frog legs?

Speaker 2 (24:54):
No, but I think I should try it. I'll try
anything once. That's kind of my mom life motto.

Speaker 3 (25:01):
Especially if you're in the place of like where people
regularly make it, like I want to do it.

Speaker 1 (25:05):
Like, oh, yeah, I'm not going.

Speaker 2 (25:07):
I'm not going to my hometown and having frog legs.
That's crazy.

Speaker 1 (25:13):
But yeah, if this is your local delicacy, sure they sold.
It's probably the best it'll ever.

Speaker 2 (25:20):
Be made, So try to try it. It does look
like chicken, though it's un seasoned, which question I had questions.

Speaker 3 (25:29):
I mean, attracts middle of America white people.

Speaker 1 (25:33):
Yeah, but I don't know.

Speaker 2 (25:36):
That was my only concern. It actually looked unseasoned.

Speaker 3 (25:39):
They should be on the season like I'm thinkingna chicken.

Speaker 2 (25:42):
Like they those these are also white people though no offense,
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (25:48):
I listen.

Speaker 2 (25:48):
The Guatemalans suck at seasoning too. My own people I
had boiled chicken growing up. We could talk about it disgusting,
So like this just looks I have a trauma with unseasoned.

Speaker 3 (26:00):
Totally.

Speaker 2 (26:01):
I'll try anything once, and if I'm meeting my future
husband wife's family, I'm gonna choke this down and say
it tastes delicious, It's the best.

Speaker 3 (26:10):
Thing I've ever had because you're about a dollar. Yeah,
I bet like this is locally caught, locally made, Like
you can throw salt on my plate and I would
eat it all up, like sold.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
Absolutely, no questions asked.

Speaker 3 (26:23):
But Jack's obviously is not that person. He is getting
grilled by dad about marriage because that is the topic
that everybody will ask Jack's about, and Jack avoids the topic.
He's just not interested. And he says that it will
be a long two weeks if they ask him daily
about marriage, which I do agree, like, no, it will.

Speaker 2 (26:43):
Because he's gonna give you the same answer.

Speaker 3 (26:47):
Nothing's going to change in these two weeks here, Like.

Speaker 2 (26:50):
Listen, ask me, I give you my answer, and now
we're done, you can ask me.

Speaker 3 (26:56):
Yeah. I was about to say one other time at
the tail end, to be like, hey, so have you
thought of about it? Is it happening soon?

Speaker 2 (27:02):
Is it happening? Should we be ready for it?

Speaker 3 (27:04):
Yeah? Great? Yeah. We also once again talk about religion.
Religion is really really important to Brittany's dad, and we
learned that he, like she was raised in the church
and she went every Sunday and her dad was a
I think a youth minister, like a children's minister. So
he definitely seems like he's going to be the religious
side of the family. I don't know about Cheer. I mean,

(27:24):
Cherry seems religious, but Dad's like holding it down for sure.

Speaker 1 (27:28):
Yeah, yes, Dad loves Jesus.

Speaker 3 (27:32):
Dad active in the church, given to his community. Sharing
in the church is wearing that Chair's there to show
off her silver lipstick.

Speaker 2 (27:40):
Cherry's there for the social aspect of church.

Speaker 3 (27:43):
Which no shame, no shame, no shit.

Speaker 1 (27:45):
Hey, that's what we did when we were young. That's
how I saw my friends.

Speaker 3 (27:49):
I get it. It is time for the bonfire. Ah
in immediately like okay, so we're just like out in
some part of the proper, and we've got a lot
of family here. We got some of Britney's friends. And
immediately we see Jackson as a handle of vodka in
his car and a bunch of Brittany's friends are getting

(28:11):
alcohol out of the car. Which if you did this
correctly too, if you're gonna if you're gonna bring it,
you better sneak it. So well. The lights in the
truck are on, like it is so obvious that things
are happening in this car.

Speaker 2 (28:24):
It was so weird. Everyone congregates to this truck.

Speaker 3 (28:30):
Where the lights are on at the like doors in
the cab. It's like it's not even sitting on the
back and like solely porn drinks for each other.

Speaker 2 (28:38):
The and I know this isn't their fault, but let's
just bring more attention to it. The camera's there with
their lights so like we're filming some Like what the fuck?

Speaker 3 (28:48):
That's so true. I always kinda forget about that, like
it is so obvious when cameras are around.

Speaker 1 (28:53):
And then you're all just at this truck.

Speaker 2 (28:55):
So me looking from far away, I just see all
of your hands in the truck for your solo cups
to be filled. I don't I is you're how old?
And you do know how to sneak alcohol? Also, we
just started. Everyone is still up, the kids, your geriatrics,

(29:16):
we're all here.

Speaker 1 (29:17):
You couldn't.

Speaker 2 (29:18):
Mamma's not gonna make it past eight thirty. I'm telling you, like,
let some time breathe my.

Speaker 5 (29:25):
People, like there's moire is so fun, go come on,
but no, no, And then the best is when like
Mamma gets near, Jackson is the most suspicious he's ever been.

Speaker 1 (29:36):
He go, I kid you not. I laughed at this.

Speaker 2 (29:39):
Every single time Mamma would be coming over and he
would run down the truck.

Speaker 1 (29:43):
He would go dance and.

Speaker 3 (29:44):
Go, Mama, mama.

Speaker 2 (29:47):
He likes sang to her.

Speaker 1 (29:49):
And I was like, that is so, that is not
so behavior, that.

Speaker 2 (29:53):
Is so suspicious.

Speaker 3 (29:56):
Immediately adjuster. And then and then he offers up at
one point talking about engagement and rings and stuff, and
I'm like, okay, I will say, actually, the engagement rings
a good distraction, but like at what cost? Because you
just said I don't want to talk about this for
two weeks, and now you're giving them information to want

(30:17):
to keep asking for two weeks straight.

Speaker 2 (30:19):
Also, I don't know if you clacked this, but they
were so close because he's like, here, I'm going to
tell you about the ring alcohols on his breath.

Speaker 3 (30:27):
It's I don't even think about that. He was leaning
down to time his vodka and it wasn't like bourbon,
and like that God has a way stronger.

Speaker 1 (30:38):
Come mind, come.

Speaker 3 (30:40):
Also, I wanted to screenshot that rings so bad and
see if I could like reverse.

Speaker 2 (30:45):
Image, and he just went on, he went online and
looked up engagement ring and he's like, this is it
just to shut them him?

Speaker 3 (30:53):
Although I bet like Brittany's hounding him a little bit too,
So I bet that he does have a few photos
save to just like slowly eat that conversation and buy
him some more time.

Speaker 2 (31:02):
But you know he went to Kyle Chen's chance. That's
the guy's chant, Kyle channel Chan.

Speaker 1 (31:08):
Well, I don't know, Diddy, I don't know, but that's
the jeweler in town.

Speaker 3 (31:12):
Yeah, that's true, that's the lore. But before we even
actually like talk to Sherry.

Speaker 2 (31:17):
And it doesn't matter, worries.

Speaker 3 (31:20):
Because Jack's Jack's dancing across this like entire mama highlight
of my life.

Speaker 2 (31:26):
So they showed it like eighty times too, just over.

Speaker 3 (31:30):
Yes, we did learn a little bit about Britty's parents.
They have been divorced for twenty five years. In our
I would say cordial, but also just like realize they
don't really need to be in each other's life, like.

Speaker 1 (31:41):
Because he does the dad live on the property.

Speaker 3 (31:44):
Still no, no, just just Memma, Sherry and mom and okay, yeah, okay,
but we but so they're okay, like they're good. Clearly
but it just seems like they don't have much interaction
because their kids are adults too. Just like he's literally
here just for the show, but they're talking about Jacks,
and Sherry loves Jacks, and thank god, Doubt is like concerned.

(32:07):
We have one concerned parent here, and he's like, I'm
concerned with Jack's ability to take care of our daughter.
Like why are you so in love with him?

Speaker 2 (32:17):
God?

Speaker 1 (32:17):
Thank god, this man has a screw tightened.

Speaker 2 (32:20):
Okay, because everyone else is hugging off their rockers, but
this man was like, Jax gives bad vibes and I
was like, yes, it's a you.

Speaker 3 (32:30):
It's more obvious than the alcohol in his breath.

Speaker 1 (32:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (32:33):
Shout out Brittany's dad for clocking Jax Taylor. Okay, if
Dan just watched the show, I don't know mile away,
but I thought that man went back and sat down
and it was like, show me every season of this.
Britty's dad was like, all right, I don't know how
to watch Bravo. We don't have cable, but how do I.

Speaker 3 (32:51):
We got His dad was like, we are buying cable,
so I can't. This was before streaming was a.

Speaker 2 (32:56):
Thing out the internet. He figured out the internet to
go on the YouTube and look.

Speaker 3 (33:01):
He's like, hey, my grandson, twelve year old Brandon, come
figure out the TV and it like, I need you
to play all of this.

Speaker 2 (33:09):
I'll give you a nickel if you can pull up
Jax Taylor on my TV screen.

Speaker 3 (33:14):
Absolutely. Well.

Speaker 2 (33:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (33:16):
The episode does end with Jack's talking to Share and
Mamma about the ring and he's just really hoping that
it gets them off his back for the rest of
the trip. And that ends the episode. But next time
on Jackson, Brittany taking Tucky, We're screaming to take some shots.
We're partying on the farm. Brittany is ready to be
a mom. Is Jack's ready to be a dad? Mamma

(33:38):
asked who brought the alcohol. Dad doesn't want Jacks to
make Brittany believe that they will get married if he's
trying to find a way out of the relationship, which
like clock him, Dad. I need Dad to clock him
every episode, of course.

Speaker 1 (33:52):
Okay, great episode.

Speaker 2 (33:53):
So I'm gonna start easy on this one, and I'm
going mainly off memory because I know this person like
the back of my hand. It's gonna be Brittany for
the first one. We're gonna talk about Brittany cart Wright
never really known as Brittany Taylor Brittany Couci, which is
actually Jackson's real.

Speaker 3 (34:10):
Last game name.

Speaker 2 (34:11):
Yeah. Yeah, she mainly stuck to Brady cart right, but
she's thirty six years old.

Speaker 1 (34:16):
She was born in January. That's fun.

Speaker 2 (34:18):
Never knew that about her, and she went to Eastern
Kentucky University. Also fun. So basically when she was growing
up in Kentucky, we now see where she grew up.
I don't have to go too much into that. She
job she had before modeling and Hooters before she met sick. Yeah,
before she met JACKX Taylor at a party in Vegas.

Speaker 1 (34:38):
I believe, and he swept her off her.

Speaker 2 (34:41):
Feet that she moved to LA for him.

Speaker 3 (34:45):
Packed all up in her car and drove there.

Speaker 2 (34:47):
In one little car, drove there in her romper, probably
never even stopped a shower, just kidding. She got there,
Jack said move in with me, and they immediately did.
The relationship was rocky for those I don't want to
give too much away, but there have been a few
cheating scandals. If you're interested, please tune into our recaps

(35:09):
of vander Pump rules.

Speaker 1 (35:10):
That would really that would really help us.

Speaker 3 (35:13):
That's true. We don't want to boil season six because that's.

Speaker 1 (35:16):
The problem with doing these two idiots.

Speaker 2 (35:18):
But personally, I I always thought everyone loved Brittany more
than I did.

Speaker 1 (35:24):
She was fine for most of it.

Speaker 2 (35:26):
For me, Meredith, how did you feel about Brittany and
vander Pump Were you a big fan?

Speaker 3 (35:30):
Not a big fan? I would say like she was
fine and like the girl gang of it all, But
like I like, on my level, like Sheena dislike and
Stossy beloved. She was probably like right in the middle.

Speaker 1 (35:43):
I like Sina bed I like she was just like.

Speaker 3 (35:46):
There, Like she didn't cause any she doesn't cause drama
on the show, like there's like things happened to her,
and then the season we're about to like approach, she
kind of annoyed the shit out of me.

Speaker 2 (35:57):
Here's the thing.

Speaker 1 (35:57):
She was known as our Kentucky muffin, terrible nickname.

Speaker 2 (36:01):
She slowly though Jack's you know, naming himself as the
number one guy in the group. For those of you
who know Brittany, I think then took on title number
one girl in the group.

Speaker 1 (36:10):
And she was very no no.

Speaker 2 (36:13):
No to herself self proclaimed because then she took on
a very manipulative in my mind role where everything she
did was right.

Speaker 1 (36:22):
You could never go against her, or else things would
happen to you.

Speaker 3 (36:25):
Whatever.

Speaker 1 (36:26):
So they're on vander Pumper roles.

Speaker 2 (36:28):
They later get well, she doesn't get kicked off kicked
off the show. Jacks does, but she also leaves with him.
But don't worry fans, they're back now on The Valley.
There's been one, almost two full seasons.

Speaker 1 (36:39):
Of that show. It's currently when we hear this airing.
When this comes out, it might be done airing two seasons.
And for those of you who need.

Speaker 2 (36:47):
An update on her current life, she has a son
named Cruise, and she is an influencer full time. She
does own a small part of Jackson's bar Britney's a
little corner, but I don't know what's happening in that
because they're divorced. She filed for divorce last year because
Jacks is an actual psychopath, And so this whole season

(37:09):
of the Valley, we've just been watching them break up.
So yeah, that's about all you got to know about
Britty Yea.

Speaker 3 (37:15):
If you really want to know where they are, just
watch season two of The Valley to be honest.

Speaker 2 (37:19):
Yeah, and if you really want to see their upbringing,
just watch Vander Pumpoules. It was hard to do a
background on these people because we already knew so much.
I don't want to spoil everything, but that's our Kentucky muffet.
So start this little series, I guess. But great is
that it do all these things I said at the
beginning of the show, and we will be covering unfortunately

(37:40):
this whole fucking season. So thanks Lovia, thanks for joining.

Speaker 3 (37:44):
Bye.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
