October 2008 marked the end of ROH’s first era when Gabe Sapolsky was terminated from his position as Booker, and November 2008 officially began the next era with Adam Pearce’s first events! It just seems appropriate that Scrap Daddy’s first event would also be the first-time for an ROH event in Montreal, QC, Canada!

The most intriguing part of this shifting landscape may be everything that went on between the last of Gabe and the first of Adam, how it would shape the face of ROH moving forward, and just how perpetually on the cusp of closing Ring of Honor truly was to necessitate these changes.

Though fairly maligned 13 years ago, how does history treat an event that featured FOUR champions dueling in the main event over the ROH World Title as well as Strong/Richards and Edwards/Stevens bouts? Plus we’ve got Kenny Omega in the house as part of a rather unique team with Kenny King, The Age of The Fall, TeamWork (as they were affectionately dubbed by the Message Board), and more!
