It was a frigid, bitter, miserable cold night in Braintree and also a sad evening as January 26th of 2007 was also when one of ROH’s founding fathers, and former President of the company, Doug Gentry, passed away at only 34 years of age.
It was a sad beginning to the new year, especially given how beloved Gentry was by so many wrestlers in the locker room, but the show proceeded with Homicide beginning his World Title reign, the Briscoes aiming to be kings of the 2 /3 falls match, Rocky Romero returning to the fold, and maybe a broken window…
