(00:30):
Guy with the podcast podcast attempting topull back the curtain of far right extremism
and all the mountainous piles of propaganda, rap, fucking lies, stochastic fucking
terrorism, and endless misery that comeswith it. I know it's exactly what
everyone's been waiting for and more theworst people to have ever walked the face

(00:52):
of the earth. Yeah, that'swhat this podcast focuses on most. So
here's the episode. Oh fuck, hello again, listener. I hope I

right on the face. But youknow, also, if you're not into
that, I'm sure we can worksomething else out. Anyway, here's the

(02:07):
episode, all right. Not thatanyone asked for the American white guy's opinion
on the matter, but the IsraelPalestine thing is one of the most fucked
up, sad, and deeply enragingthings on the face of the fucking planet.
The atrocities that have unfolded in recentweeks have been stomach churning. After

(02:31):
Hamas militants broke through what is effectivelya prison wall surrounding the Gaza Strip,
the crimes that were committed were nothingless than abhorrent, and what has followed
in the days and weeks since inreaction by the Israeli military has been nothing
short of vile inhumanity. The bombingcampaign on the people of Gaza, who

(02:53):
are mostly children eighteen and younger, has utterly devastated an already desperate and suffering
people, and the coinciding propaganda asexpected from the Israeli government in concert with
Western powers and their media, theUnited States in particular, has been equally
detestable. What we are witnessing isthe loss of civilian life at a scale

(03:15):
we haven't seen in the modern historyof Israel and Palestine. And this war
began three quarters of a century ago. It did not begin on October seventh.
And the idea that the attack byHamas was unprovoked is a bold faced,
fucking lie. Wait a minute, are you condoning Hamas? No idiot,

(03:35):
I'm saying that it wasn't unprovoked.There's a difference. There's this idea
that people have about this conflict. And I hate calling it a conflict because
it implies that there are two symmetricalsides to it, but there aren't.
There's this idea that people have aboutthe conflict, and by people, I

(03:57):
mean those living in privilege behind theprotective wall of imperial power. They tend
to think that Israel simply goes aboutits business peacefully. That is until scary
gihttists randomly do a terrorism and upendthe otherwise harmonious existence of the Israelis.
It's easy to fall into this mindtrap when you're part of a protected class.

(04:18):
The nature of colonial occupation, whichI'll get into when successful, is
that it gives the illusion of stabilityand peace. Things seem as though they're
in some sort of equilibrium. Peopleinside the protected confines go about their lives.
They work, they have fun, they take their kids to school,

(04:39):
what have you, normalcy, Butin reality, there is a constant and
daily violence that's taking place outside ofthat bubble, organized and carried out by
the state. Americans and Westerners generallythe protected classes at least experience this exact
phenomenon every day. And if Iexperience, I mean never think about like,

(05:01):
not once ever in their lives becausethey don't have to. And stupidly
they call this freedom, I guess, the freedom not to know or care.
But when they are forced to thinkabout it because it's in the media,
they're shocked, just completely taken abackand floored that something bad happened to

(05:25):
you know, them, or topeople that they identify with, because I
don't know, they look like thema little bit, or at least are
somewhat the same. Fucking shade orlisten to similar music, like to go
to outdoor music venues and have funwhile the people literally right next to you
are dying from unsafe drinking water atan astonishing rate because the government won't let

(05:47):
them build desalinization plants, for example, so that they can have water to
drink. So before we continue,I need to be explicitly clear out of
the gate. If you think thatthere's a secret Jewish cabal running the media
and the world that also drinks theblood of infants to stay alive longer somehow,

(06:11):
you are a silly bigot who doesn'tunderstand how anything works. But congratulations
though, on falling for a centuriesold forgery that bigoted Christians and fascist fucking
Nazis have used for hundreds of yearsto justify genocides of Jewish people going back
centuries all across Europe. You goofyfucking conspiracy addled fascist. Fuck Now,

(06:36):
if you want to learn something that'sactually true, keep listening. If not,
I guess, continue to perpetuate thesame shit that got us here in
the first place. You goofy fuckingfascist. There's a reason why so many
Jewish people felt that their only escapefrom their sordid history of violence against them
was to create their own state. You can thank all the violent, mostly

(07:00):
Christian bigots over the last more thana thousand years for what's happening in Israel
today. This topic in particular ismaddening because of the right wing conspiracy theorists
who leverage this shit to advance theirconspiratorial worldview. These people are full of
hate and confusion. They don't understandwhat the fuck ever is going on now.

(07:28):
Another thing, the state of Israelis not synonymous with Jewish people,
as has been made clear by themillions of leftist and anti Zionist Jews across
the world who have publicly rebuked theState of Israel, its leadership, and
right wing Jewish extremists. Not allJewish people identify with Israel as a Jewish
state. In fact, most don't. The Jewish identity and the State of

(07:50):
Israel are not one and the same. The idea that they are is right
wing nationalist Zionist propaganda. In thesame way, Hamas and other Arab nationalist
religious extremist groups are not synonymous withArabs, Palestinians, nor Muslims either,
as has been made clear by themillions of leftist and anti nationalist Arabs voicing

(08:13):
opposition to Islamic religious extremists across theworld, and in much the same way,
the United States is not synonymous withwhite Christian people, despite claims from
extremists among that group. So,despite what the Israeli government claims, the
state of Israel is about as muchthe homeland of Jewish people as the United
States is the homeland of Christians. It's patently absurd to suggest that any one

(08:41):
kind of people are the rightful stewardsof any land, let alone one considered
wholly by like four billion people. We are all required by the most basic
of moral standards to condemn actions thatresult in land dispossession, especially when done
so with violent force. Much likethe US, Israel is a national settler

(09:05):
colonial project founded on land stolen fromindigenous peoples who have lived there for generations.
All settler colonies constitute an endless processof land annexation, whereby native inhabitants
are removed and settlers from elsewhere arebrought in to occupy. In the Americas,
European Christians were brought in to colonizethe land and saw the people already

(09:28):
living there as a scourge that mustbe gotten rid of. The preceding genocide
of the Native peoples by white Christianswas rationalized through dehumanizing propaganda against Native Americans
and with colonialists telling themselves that theland was given to them by none other
than God, that it was theirdestiny to rule over this land, that
it was their manifest destiny to conquerthe land from east to west coast of

(09:52):
North America, no matter who wasin the way. And I know that's
tough to hear for people who havebeen completely disnified about American history, but
yeah, the United States was withoutdoubt founded on a systematic campaign of genocide,

(10:13):
ethnic cleansing, and then slavery.Anyone who waters that down with,
you know, fun stories about Pocahontasis lying to you. This is the
propaganda that I'm talking about. Andin much the same way, Jewish people
from around the world have settled andcolonized what is now called Israel with continuous

(10:35):
land annexation, accomplished by forcing Nativesfrom their land and homes and replacing them
with ethnic Jews. And they dothis through an unsettling, state sanctioned program
that the Israeli government calls birthright, where any Jewish person from anywhere in the
world can travel to Israel on thegovernment's dime, in the hopes that they
stay in Israel permanently to help expandthe settler colonial project that is the state

(10:58):
of Israel. Critically, none ofwhat is happening is about religion, despite
what falls out of the frothy mouthsof religious extremists on all sides of this
century's long rolling clusterfuck, It's aboutland and capital. Religion is only used
as justification for atrocious human rights abuses. The state of Israel is without question

(11:20):
a hypernationalist, far right ethno stateseeking to further concrete its hard right politics
by indoctrinating its citizens into hardened, dead eyed ultranationalist Zionists, and also,
perhaps counterintuitively, actively seeks to radicalizePalestinians and other Arabs into far right nationalists

(11:41):
as well. Yeah Conservatives in theUS have for decades now accused Democrats of
funding Islamic extremists in the Middle East, and liberals tend to just dismiss these
accusations as Kouki conspiracy theories. However, there is a grain of truth hidden
in those accusations. As there usuallyis with conspiracy theories. Under the Obama

(12:05):
administration, Republicans accused the administration ofarming terrorists, and the right wing media
apparatus swiftly picked it up and ranwith it, using the racist and long
debunked conspiracy theory that Barack Obama wasa secret Muslim. As a launching pad,
the right seeded the idea that Obamawas arming terrorists because, after all,
the Manchurian candidate for Islamic terrorists whohated America would totally do something like

(12:31):
that. As with so many otherthings, the right was using a leftist
critique of American empire and distorting it. The grain of truth hidden in the
rights, racist, and islamophobic portrayalof Obama was that the United States was
arming violent extremist groups, not justduring the Obama years, but under both

(12:52):
Democrat and Republican presidents, going backto at least the Cold War. Operation
Cyclone, the co name for theCIA program to arm and finance the Muhajhadeen
in Afghanistan from nineteen seventy nine tonineteen ninety two, is a perfect example
of this. Britain's MI six hada similar program arming militant Islamic groups,

(13:13):
including groups with jihadist ties. Leftistshad accused the US government and its allies
of funding and arming ideological extremists tohelp topple the Soviet alligned communist Afghan government
in the late nineteen eighties, PakistaniPrime Minister Benezir Bhutto, concerned about the
growing strength of the Islamist movement, told President George H. W. Bush

(13:37):
quote, you are creating a Frankenstein. Many have attributed the US attempts to
stamp out communism in Afghanistan by bolsteringIslamic extremists as a major factor in causing
the September eleventh attacks on the UnitedStates. A number of political commentators have
described the al Qaeda attacks as blowbackor an unintended consequence of American aid to

(14:01):
the Muhajadeen, the precursor to theTaliban. This is a major example of
the United States and its allies fundingreligious and ideological extremists, but there are
many other examples of weapons and fundingintentionally or not falling into the hands of

(14:22):
the American Empire's enemies, including underthe Obama administration. This is gonna happen
as the world's number one arms dealerby a long shot. The United States
supplies roughly forty percent of all weaponsexports on Earth as of twenty twenty two,
and that includes small arms, becauseyou know, we have a lot
of those companies who make guns. Not all of these instances of weapons falling

(14:46):
into the wrong hands are intentional, but some have been. So then why
does America do this? Is itbecause Ronald Reagan was also a secret Muslim
who hated America? Well, no, Ronald wasn't black and his middle name
wasn't Hussein, so that would bea hard sell to paranoid racists, though

(15:07):
I wouldn't put it past them. The right simply deflects blame on the Jimmy
Carter, you know, for Reagan'sarming of jihadists. After all, it
was Jimmy who approved the program duringhis last year in office. But you
know, never mind the fact thatthe program lasted a decade and a half
under two Republican presidents. So,in much the same way as with the

(15:30):
Muhajadin in Afghanistan, Israel, withthe backing of the American Empire, has
four years been dismantling leftists and moderategroups in both Israel and occupied Palestine while
backing and funding both Jewish and Islamicextremists. This policy has been sanctioned by
right wing American Christians, including butnot limited to, Barack Obama and Joe

(15:52):
Biden. Zionist Christians are religious extremistswho believe that Israel is the key to
the salvation of the world and thecompletion of God's redemptive plans. These are
the people who believe in the fuckingRapture. They believe that God gave Jerusalem
and the rest of the Holy Landto the Jewish people, and the return
of the Jews to the Holy Landmarks the initiation of the return of Jesus

(16:15):
Christ to lift all the Christians intothe Kingdom of God and plunge everyone else,
including Jews, to burn in hellfire for all eternity. It's crazier
when you say it out loud.Fuck North Texas professor Elizabeth Oldmixon told Vox
in twenty eighteen, quote, thetenet of Christian Zionism is that God's promise

(16:37):
of the Holy Land of the Jewsis eternal. It's not just something in
antiquity. When we talk about theHoly Land. God's promise of the Holy
land. We're talking about real estateon both sides of the Jordan River.
So the sense of a greater Israeland expansionism is really important to this community.
Jerusalem is central to that. It'sviewed as a historical and biblical cal

(17:00):
end quote. In December, LifeWayResearch conducted a poll evaluating the views of
evangelical Americans on issues related to Israeland the politics of the Middle East.
Among the questions was one about thebiblical promise of the Holy Land to Abraham
and his descendants. Two thirds ofrespondents strongly agreed that the promise was an
eternal one from God. So that'sfun. Someone is probably thinking, Wait,

(17:30):
Barrock and Joe are right wing.Yeah, despite their love not hate
facade, both of them are neoliberalswho happily march along the imperial war machine.
Not because they hate America, likethe right likes to say, but
because they're just as American as RonaldReagan, the Clinton's, both Bushes,
and even fucking Donald Trump, whois really just the loudest and most honest

(17:56):
about what America does. He doesn'tactually change any thing in any meaningful way.
In fact, he ramps it up, but policy wise, I mean,
Joe Biden just asked for billions ofdollars to militarize the southern border of
the United States with Mexico. SoI just they're all this, They're all
in the same basket, you know, just summer worse than others. You

(18:19):
know, it's about how fast we'reaccelerating towards fucking the whole world hating us.
Who am I kidding that they alreadydo? And speaking of Donald Trump,
I mean, we remember what happenedin twenty eighteen, right, Trump
is the guy who pissed off Palestiniansand Arabs once again by officially recognizing Jerusalem
as the capital of Israel as anew US embassy opened there in twenty eighteen,

(18:42):
and as the embassy event took place, Israeli soldiers were killing dozens of
Palestinian protesters along the Gaza border. So let's not pretend that Donald Trump is
the savior in all this. Youknow that he would prevent it all from
have happening in the first place,or whatever the fuck he's saying. On
truth social there are many political andideological groups among the Palestinian people. Hamas

(19:07):
operates almost exclusively in the Gaza stripwhich again is a tiny strip of land
in Israel that's been under Israeli militaryoccupation since nineteen sixty seven. The two
point one million people who live inGaza have been living there as refugees since
nineteen forty eight, when they wereviolently expelled, driven from their homes,

(19:29):
and dispossessed of their land by Zionistmilitias with the blessing of the fucking United
Nations. The people of Gaza havesuffered enormously inside the Gaza Strip because of
a blockade imposed on it by Israeland Egypt. Egypt doing so to maintain
peace relations with the heavily militarized Israeligovernment backed by the United States, which
is the most powerful military force theEarth has ever seen. Also, Cairo

(19:53):
doesn't exactly want Hamas and other extremistsliving in Egypt. It doesn't want to
bear the responsibility of a originating fromEgypt if it accepts refugees. Hypothetically,
officially, Egypt also doesn't want toaccept refugees because Cairo knows that Israel wouldn't
let them back in to go home. They're not stupid. Israel is an

(20:15):
expansionist project and intends to take theentirety of the Gaza Strip and the West
Bank at some point and I'm notjust making this up, like Zionist Christians
and Zionist Jews say this constantly, that they want to expand that they want
to eventually take over Gaza, theWest Bank and then some it doesn't end

(20:37):
there. This is also why Israelidefense forces have been bombing the living fuck
out of Gaza, killing over twothousand children as of this recording. And
to me, it's clear that youcan't bomb your way to peace, but
evidently there are a lot of peoplewho think of wise and those people are

(21:03):
either fucking crazy or stupid. Sothe United States and Israel in concert,
it's not that Israel is forcing Americato do anything somehow like that's not how
this works. The power is inAmerica, not Israel. Fucking Nazis,
shut the fuck up. But theUS and Israel are using Hamas and other

(21:26):
extremist groups as an excuse to continuethe Nakba that began in nineteen forty eight,
the massacre. They've been goading aresponse like what we saw on seven
October so that they could justify ascale up in the ongoing genocide against Palestinians.
But what does the US get outof this. For a long time,
the US military didn't have the technologyto fire missiles that could reliably hit

(21:49):
targets in the Middle East, soIsrael acted as a US military base in
the Middle East. More than that, though, the US has a vested
interest in the continuation of Israel asa geopolitical power in the region. And
by geopolitical power, I mean thepower that controls the resources and the labor
markets in the region now and inthe future. It's about capital and securing

(22:14):
it for the future. That's whythey lie about well everything, but specifically
that Israel is quote unquote the onlydemocracy in the Middle East. No,
it isn't. If Israel was atrue democracy, Palestinians would have equal rights.
They do not buy a long shot. They are effectively enslaved to the
will and the whim of the Israeligovernment, and the Israeli government is controlled

(22:37):
by the will and the whim ofthe US government, and the US government
is controlled by the will in thewhim of US corporations and billionaires. So
again, if you track it allthe way back to its route, surprise,
the problem is capitalism. So whatabout hamas and how did they come
into existence? Well, when youfuck with the people for that long and

(23:02):
that brutally, and when you stampout all leftist and moderate opposition, the
only thing left is far right extremism. It's the last bastion of hope and
anything else. So it's an easyexplanation. It's the exact same explanation as
to why so many Americans are turningright word because they don't have any hope.

(23:25):
They are told to vote constantly. They are consistently fucked and don't get
what they need, and that's whythey feel like the only option left is
Donald Trump or whatever other fascist isgoing to be president next. But yeah,
so, almost every major human rightsorganization has concluded that Israel is practicing
apartheid. You and human rights experts, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch,

(23:49):
and others have all identified Israel's fragmentationof the territories in which Palestinians live as
part of an overall regime of controldesigned to maintain Jewish hegemony from the Mediterranean
Sea to the Jordan River. Israeliofficials have long rejected any notion that the
state practice is apartheid. Claiming itsArab and Muslim citizens enjoy equal rights.

(24:11):
Hell, Israel even allows Palestinians toserve as elected officials. You know,
how can Israel be an apartheid state, let alone be committing genocide if Israel
allows Arabs to be members of theIsraeli government. First of all, the
number of Palestinians holding office in theKnesset is negligible. They have no power
there. The very few Palestinians thathold office are only there so that the

(24:34):
Israeli government has some plausible deniability whenthey're accused of being anti democratic. The
Israeli government has put a lot ofmoney and effort into propaganda, and we
see it on social media with israeldefenders using the same tired talking points over
and over again. It has becomepublic knowledge that the State of Israel pays

(24:56):
people across the world to post onsocial media in defense of the Israeli government
and its deplorable actions. You wouldthink that, like, I don't know,
the Israeli government might not want toperpetuate the idea that they espouse propaganda
across the fucking Internet all the time, But you know they do anyway.

(25:17):
Stamp out the White supremacist talking pointsabout how Jews run the media, but
instead they just fucking do this shitanyway, because they're right wing dipshits who
are honestly a threat to all Jewishpeople worldwide. Right wing people, no
matter where they are, no matterwho they are, they make the people

(25:37):
around them who are fucking normal lookbad too. Doesn't matter if you're Arab
Americans too, Like people don't likeAmerica because of the right wing motherfuckers that
exist in this country. So it'sa huge problem, and it's worldwide.
It's not a secret that right wingIsraeli officials are in bed with right wing

(26:00):
Western officials in the US and acrossEurope who espoused Nazi talking points, share
Nazi memes and tropes, and it'sfucking brain breaking to think about. But
Benjamin net Yahoo, the Prime Ministerof Israel right now and who has been
the prime minister for a while now, a deeply right wing, far right

(26:22):
and corrupt, like markedly corrupt motherfucker. His son literally posts anti Semitic cartoons
on the Internet. He's Jewish,it's it's batshit crazy. He shared a
deeply anti Semitic meme of George Sorosdangling the world from puppet strings in front

(26:45):
of a reptilian creature. Because thereare some anti Semites who, you know,
dehumanized Jewish people to the point wherethey say that they're not even human,
they're actually a totally separate species andare actually tiles. Because these people
are dumber than fuck. But soare these right wing Israelis, because what

(27:07):
they're doing is they're ideologically aligning withwhite supremacists Nazis. Yeah, I know
it's fucking crazy, but the overlapis there. They are ideologically consistent on
the right of the political spectrum. And instead of I don't know, calling
a Nazi a Nazi instead of anon Nazi a Nazi, the Israeli government,

(27:30):
along with their far right constituents, have decided that they'll call Palestinians Nazis
instead, which is absurd. It'snot that there isn't anti Semitism among Palestinians,
but we kind of know why that'sbeen cultivated. And really the only
way to get rid of that isnot to kill more people, but it

(27:51):
would be to stop killing people, stop fucking with people. That's the only
way that you can starve hatred steadof feeding it. But nah, instead,
they just lie. The hasbur Ahandbook, which is a propaganda handbook
created in two thousand and two toteach Israeli students and others how to sandbag
those trying to critique the Israeli governmentand its policies, has a section titled

(28:17):
Arabs in Israel, and the handbookteaches people how to deflect from the accusation
that Arabs in Israel are second classcitizens. The book reads, quote rebuttal
Arabs have equal voting rights and currentlyhave ten representatives in the Knesset among the
one hundred and twenty seats. Recently, there was even a Druze Cabinet minister
end quote. The number of commentson social media claiming that Israel can't possibly

(28:42):
be an apartheid state because their PalestinianAssembly members is staggering. Sammy Abousha Had,
a former Palestinian Nesset member, toldSlate just last week that he was
hesitant to run for the Knesset atall, saying, quote, for a
Palestinian active, it's not that greatof an honor to become a member of
the Knesset. It's accepted that whenthe average Zionist discusses human rights, what

(29:06):
they have in mind is only Jewishhuman rights. So it brings you into
a very complicated political system. It'snot very encouraging to be there. The
political game in any normal democratic societyis quite different than what Israel offers us.
Shahad continues quote, this state Israelwas built on the ruins of my
people. You are in a verycomplicated situation, full of contradictions. But

(29:30):
on the other side, you don'thave that many options. This is the
best political stage which is offered foryou. It's part of your responsibility to
give alternatives to our people. Shahadalso said this quote, it's very easy
for a Palestinian who lives in Israelto be involved in politics, because everything
in our lives is politics. Welive on a racial separation. Arabs are

(29:52):
alone and Jews are alone. Morethan ninety percent of the population lives either
in Jewish areas or Arab areas. There are big Jewish cities and there are
Arab towns. Something like ten percentof the population lives in what is called
mixed cities. I grew up inthese areas. Laud Ramla and Haffa are
such areas where you see discrimination andracism towards you you see the differences in

(30:15):
infrastructure, in the services that thestate gives to Arabs and Jews. And
it's quite clear if you live inApha, which is considered part of Tel
Aviv, and when you go throughTel Aviv and back to your underdeveloped neighborhoods,
you experience discrimination. And when youstart asking yourself questions, why are
there so many gaps between me andthe Jewish citizen in everything? This brings

(30:37):
you to politics. Inside the politicalsystem, we see ourselves as part of
the Palestinian people, and we seeourselves as part of the Palestinian national movement.
So being part of the Palestinian nationalmovement running in elections for the Knesset,
and there's no chance for you asa minority to do anything serious.
It's full of contradictions. I feltcompelled to go there, and when you

(31:00):
are there, you don't only seeben Vere on TV, you work with
him on the same committees. It'sunbelievable. I asked myself what I was
doing here the whole time? Whydo I have to do this? End
quote. There are stark similarities betweenthe experience of Palestinians and Israel and the

(31:22):
experience of black brown and indigenous peoplein the United States, and grimly that's
why the US and Israel get alongso well. Both countries are settler colonies
whose existence is rooted in genocide, slavery, and racial segregation. Yes,

(31:44):
slavery. It's problematic to compare chattelslavery with anything else, but the meek
conditions that Palestinians are subjected to underIsraeli occupation is a form of enslavement.
The truth is that Israel's own discriminatesatory policies against Palestinians prove that Israel is
not only practicing apartheid, but isactively committing genocide. And this isn't something

(32:08):
that's up for fucking debate. It'sdespite all the fucking hand ringing from liberal
academics. Israel's blockade of the GazaStrip and its de facto annexation of the
West Bank, where Israel exerts militarycontrol and is actively building and expanding Jewish
settlements by evicting Arab people from theirhomes in twenty twenty three and in some

(32:30):
cases literally bulldozing entire neighborhoods, apractice internationally banned as a war crime,
prove that the Israeli government is lyingwhen they say it's not practicing apartheid.
Stochastic terrorism is regularly employed by theIsraeli state to gin up hate and violence
against Palestinians by Israeli citizens. TheIsraeli government even arms Jewish settlers along the

(32:54):
West Bank and Gaza. Most recently, on October tenth, three days after
the at Hamas, National Security MinisterItamar ben Gevier announced a plan to armed
citizens in towns near the country's borderswith the West Bank and Gaza with ten
thousand military issued rifles. This hasalready resulted in Palestinians being shot by Israeli

(33:15):
settlers. Kavira also said this quote, every city resident will be able to
get an armament license. We arefacing Operation Guardian of the Walls two,
so we like a fucking movie JesusChrist. So we will be ensuring that
we are prepared with guns on everystreet corner end quote. So I'm just

(33:37):
scratching the surface with I mean,it'd be a fucking four hour podcast episode
if I went through every single instanceof violence and ridiculously discriminatory policies against Palestinians.
I mean, one such law,for example, is the Nakba law,

(33:57):
where the Israeli government literally for bidsprofessors and teachers from teaching about what
happened in nineteen forty eight, whenseven hundred thousand Palestinians were violently displaced from
the land in order to create thestate of Israel. The Arab refugees created
from that event, known as theNakba or the Massacre, account for some
eighty percent of the Palestinian population inwhat is now Israeli occupied territory in Gaza,

(34:24):
the land that Israel now claims isits own, was the homeland of
Palestinians for centuries, with hundreds ofvillages and thriving cities, including Jerusalem.
By the late Ottoman period around eighteenseventy eight, the Arabs living in modern
day Israel consisted of roughly four hundredthousand Muslims, forty one thousand Christians,

(34:44):
and fourteen thousand Jews, and despitetheir religious differences, Palestinians were often referred
to as Arabs people of the Arabicspeaking world. Despite their distinctive culture,
Palestinians have long distinguished themselves as ahull Philistine or the people of Palestine,
developing a regional accent regional food, dress, and familial ties, and in

(35:07):
the most disgusting, fucking way imaginable. Some of the most frothy mouthed right
wing Israelis deny that Palestinians are evena real people. Yeah, it's it's
fucking gross, but uh yeah.By the time World War One began,
several key political forces were competing forcontrol of the land. Again, this

(35:31):
is about land and capital. First, there was a growing Arab political movement
looking for independence from the Ottoman Empirein the hopes of a unified Arab state.
Around this time is when you knownationalism started really taking off around the
world thanks to fucking Europeans, specificallythe god damn French. The Ottoman imperial

(35:53):
system was characterized by an intricate combinationof official Muslim hegemony over non Muslims and
a wide degree of religious tolerance.Though while religious minorities were never equal under
the law under the Ottoman Empire, they were granted recognition, protection, and
limited freedoms under both Islamic and Ottomantradition, and there is a difference,

(36:15):
so you can easily argue that conditionswere far better under the Ottomans than they
are under Israelis. Most Ottoman subjectswere Christian, and non Muslims remained a
significant and economically influential minority in modernday Iraq. For example, Jews lived
alongside Arabs and Muslims and Christians forthousands of years peacefully, which is I

(36:39):
mean, you know, more orless. So I'm not advocating to,
you know, bring back the OttomanEmpire. But what I am advocating for
is the perspective. Shit wasn't thatbad until the State of Israel was established.
And honestly, I mean the reasonwhy Israel was established is because of

(37:00):
Europeans who didn't want Jews in theircountries. They wanted them out, so
they decided to just give them someoneelse's land. I'm not just pulling that
out of my ass either. That'shistory. That's European history, the endless
series of pogrims, genocides against Jewishpeople all throughout Europe, and then after

(37:22):
World War Two, European countries beinglike, well, we don't want all
these Jewish refugees going, uh,just go take that land over there,
and then they fucking signed the papersand let them do it. Not just
let them do it, but likethe Brits literally helped them do it when
they occupied territories previously ruled by theOttoman Empire. I mean again, if

(37:44):
you trace it all back, itgoes to the fucking British and their incessant
desire to own and conquer literally everythingand everyone. But yeah, moving forward
a bit, between the Six DayWar in nineteen sixty seven and the First
Intivada in nineteen eighty seven, themost vibrant and non violent uprising against Israeli

(38:06):
occupiers in Palestinian history. There wereregular beatings, shootings, killings, house
demolitions, deportations, extended imprisonments anddetentions without trial of Palestinians by Israeli occupiers.
When Israel opened up its labor marketto Palestinians after capturing Palestinian territories in
nineteen sixty seven, Palestinians were recruitedmainly to do jobs requiring backbreaking labor jobs

(38:31):
that Israelis didn't want. Sound familiar. Americans have been doing this exact same
shit to black, brown, andindigenous people and immigrants from South America and
elsewhere for centuries. The Israeli LaborParty's Yitzik Rabin, then Defense Minister,
added deportations in August nineteen eighty fiveto Israel's iron fist policy of cracking down

(38:55):
on Palestinian nationalism. This, whichled to deportations in the following four years,
was accompanied by economic integration and increasingIsraeli settlements, such that the Jewish
settler population in the West Bank alonenearly doubled from thirty five thousand in nineteen
eighty four to sixty four thousand innineteen eighty eight, reaching one hundred and
thirty thousand by the mid nineties.Referring to the developments, Israeli Minister of

(39:20):
Economics and Finance god Yakobi stated thatquote a creeping process of de facto annexation
contributed to a growing militancy in Palestiniansociety. Rabin, though still a Zionist,
was born in Jerusalem to Jewish immigrantsfrom Eastern Europe and was born in
a labor Zionist household. Labor Zionismor socialist Zionism refers to the left wing

(39:46):
variation of Zionism, which also happenedto be the most common form of Zionism
early on after World War II.Unlike the right wing political Zionist bent founded
by Theodore Herzel, who had concludedthat anti Jewish sentiment would make Jewish assimilation
impossible and that the only solution wasto establish a Jewish state. Labor Zionists

(40:10):
socialists did not believe that a Jewishstate would be created by simply appealing to
the international community or to powerful nationssuch as the United Kingdom, Germany or
the former Ottoman Empire. Rather, they believed that a Jewish state could only
be created through the efforts of theJewish working class, making immigration to the
Land of Israel and raising a countrycentered around the proletariat with rural agriculture communities

(40:35):
and co ops with a urban Jewishworking class. Now, to be clear,
labor Zionists, especially after the foundationof Israel and occupied Palestinian land,
were center left. The socialists Zionistsdiffered from other labor organizations at the time
because non Zionist labor organizations were internationalists, therefore opposed to Jewish nationalism for obvious

(41:00):
reasons. Now, I am personallyopposed to even socialist Zionism because it's still
Zionism. But the Zionism that wesee today and the Zionism that founded the
state of Israel, is not laborZionism. It's political Zionism, which is
inherently right wing and fascist, andalso happens to align with the British government

(41:22):
at the time in nineteen forty eightand now, and also aligns with the
United States and its corporatist billionaire class. Oh here's a fun fact. Did
you know that right wing Zionists thoughtabout colonizing Uganda and Argentina before they colonized
Palestine? Fucking weird, right,Well, In fact, the Uganda Plan

(41:45):
was the father of political Zionism,Theodore Herzel's first idea and was endorsed by
British Colonial Secretary Joseph Chamberlain in nineteenoh three. Just imagine for a moment
if the Uganda Plan actually was approvedby Britain instead of Palestine. The world
would be a little different. Peoplewould still be pissed off. I can
guarantee that. So. Rabin wouldgo on to become Prime Minister of Israel,

(42:10):
serving two terms in office, thefirst one from nineteen seventy four to
seventy seven and then again from nineteenninety two until his assassination in nineteen ninety
five. On the twenty fifth ofJuly nineteen ninety three, after Hesbelah,
another militant Islamic group out of Lebanon, fired rockets into northern Israel, Rabin

(42:30):
authorized a week long military operation inLebanon. Mind you again, Rabin is
this center left Prime Minister. Rabinplayed a leading role in the signing of
the Oslo Accords, which created thePalestinian National Authority or the PLO, and
granted it partial control over parts ofthe Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
Prior to the signing of the accords, Rabin received a letter from the PLO

(42:53):
chairman Yaser Erafit, renouncing violence andofficially recognizing Israel. And on the same
day, the night of September nineteenninety three, Rabin sent Arafat a letter
officially recognizing the PLO. Now,this was the beginning of what we thought
would be the two state solution, where the Palestinians would have their own state

(43:15):
with their own border and their owngovernment. Now, obviously that didn't happen.
But why it didn't happen is critical. Rabin was assassinated by a pro
Netan Yahoo, that is Benjamin Netanyahoo, who is the current Prime Minister of
Israel, supporter, who was afar right extremist. Rabin was shot three

(43:37):
times in the back right after arally for peace. The far right Lequd
Party, which is the party thatBenjamin Netnaho belongs to, has more or
less held power in Israel from thenon. Rabin's wife even accuses Benjamin Netnyaho
of inciting the assassination that killed herhusband because he did. Yasir Arafat,

(44:01):
the former president of the State ofPalestine, died under suspicious circumstances in two
thousand and four. Now it's importantto note that Israel does have a long
and sordid history of extra judicial killingsand the Israeli government. I mean,
this is on record that the Israeligovernment tried to kill Yaser Arafat for decades.

(44:22):
So the fact that anyone is like, oh no, we don't really
know, yeah, we do.Now, Yasser Arafat was, you know,
left wing, he center left.None of these people are leftists.
But this is the difference between thecenter, the moderates so to speak,
and the far right. Hamas fallsinto the far right category. So does

(44:45):
the State of Israel under the couldleadership with Benjamin Netanyahu. So both of
these groups are far right and religiousextremists. They both use their religions to
justify atrocities against each other, butthe conflict is asymmetrical. All the power
is in Israel. Palestinians don't haveany Imperialism and settler colonialism legitimizes reactionary movements

(45:12):
and it emboldens the far right asan emancipatory force. So because of what
Israel is doing to Palestinians and hasbeen doing systematically for three quarters of a
century, has emboldened extremist groups likeHamas. The people are out of hope.
They have no one else to goto. The State of Israel has
literally killed off all leftist and moderateresistance movements and individuals. What's left are

(45:38):
far right Islamists. Hamas, bythe way, is an Arabic acronym for
Islamic resistance movement, and it wouldprobably not exist today were it not for
the Jewish state. The Israeli governmentand the Israeli military and the Israeli intelligence
community has helped to turn a bunchof fringe Palestinian Islamists in the late seventies

(46:00):
into one of the world's most notoriousmilitant groups, much like we did with
the Muhajadeen in Afghanistan, Israel hasdone to Palestinians in just like nine to
eleven. The Hamas attack on Octoberseventh can accurately be described as blowback on
an imperialist, expansionist, far rightultra nationalist regime, and speaking of Americans

(46:25):
have always been violent warmongers, butnine to eleven radicalized a majority of Americans
into supporting the war on terror acrossthe Middle East. According to new research
from the Costs of War Project atBrown University's Watson Institute, at least four
and a half million people have diedas a consequence of wars that have raged

(46:46):
across North Africa and into the MiddleEast since the attacks on nine to eleven.
That figure includes deaths caused by resultingeconomic collapse, environmental contamination, and
recurring violenceany savil The Cost of Warsco director and author of the report said,
in countries like Afghanistan, which UStroops occupied for roughly twenty fucking years,

(47:07):
the quote pressing question is whether anydeath can today be considered unrelated to
war. Wars often kill far morepeople indirectly than indirect combat, particularly young
children. Warring parties who damage infrastructurewith an impact on population health have a
moral responsibility to provide quick and effectiveassistance and repairs. End quote. Is

(47:31):
Israel doing that? Is the USdoing that for Gazans and Palestinians. No,
despite Joe Biden's aid package, humanitarianaid that he has negotiated with Benjamin
Nett Yahoo to fucking get into thepeople of Gaza who desperately fucking need,
it is nothing. So despite allthe headlines of you know, Biden,

(47:57):
to his credit, gets humanity adinto Gaza. Uh No, forty four
thousand bottles of water on twenty trucks. No, this it's nothing. It's
nothing. It's a drop in thefucking ocean and it helps nothing. And
I'm not saying not do it.I'm saying do way more than that.
What the fuck? These people livein the largest concentration camp ever built in

(48:23):
the history of the world. That'swhat Gaza is. Even like respected Israeli
scholars are saying that that's what itis. It's an open air fucking prison,
and any other description of it iswrong. Dude, Like fucking David
Cameron even called it that. Hecalled it an open air prison. Conservative

(48:45):
UKPM David Cameron called it that theirentire civilization, all of their culture,
all of their livelihood, has beentaken from them. Gaza is a twenty
five mile long and five mile widestrip of land that is home to two
point two million people, half ofwhich are children. It is among the

(49:08):
most densely populated places on Earth, more densely populated than fucking Tokyo. They
don't have an economy. Over ninetypercent of their economy, if you can
even call it, that is frominternational aid. They're under a repressive there's
not even a word for it.The blockade is utterly catastrophic for the people

(49:30):
of Palestine. Nothing comes into Gaza, nothing comes out. People can't come
in, and people can't come out, except for on the most rarest of
occasions. Ninety seven percent of thedrinking water is literally fucking poison. Ninety
percent of Gozins are considered by humanrights organizations as severely food insecure. They

(49:50):
are kept intentionally in perpetual hunger onthe brink of starvation because literally starving them
to death is considered taboo by theinternational community, but starving them on the
brink of it is, you know, it's just defending yourself. They'll say
fucking what. Most of the peopleof Gaza have never stepped out of Gaza,

(50:12):
and by never stepped out, Imean they were literally born there in
a concentration camp, much like slaveswere born into slavery. There's no hope
that they have. And to makeit all worse, somehow, periodically fucking
psychopaths come in and destroy Gaza, somehow more than it already is, with

(50:32):
high tech bombing raids and military campaignsfunded by the US government, and this
process is referred to by Israeli strategicplanners from the comfort of their own fucking
desks as mowing the lawn. Imaginethe degradation, the humiliation, you would
feel, the utter and complete fuckinghopelessness that there's no way out, that

(50:58):
you're probably gonna die, if notfrom a bomb, then you know,
probably from the water because it's poison. Just imagine for a moment that every
time one of these high tech fuckingbombing campaigns destroys your family and your community,
that the international community just turns theirheads the other way. The Palestinian

(51:19):
people are the ones left to pickup the pieces to rebuild their homes after
their brothers, their sisters, theirmothers, their fathers, their grandparents,
their aunts, their uncles, theirnieces and nephews are dead and they can't
rebuild their homes because Israel won't letin building material for them to do it.

(51:42):
It's not just heartbreaking, it's brainbreaking. Anyway. A far right
religious homophobe stood in front of apodium earlier this year that had a map
of Greater Israel emblazoned on it.Israel is the idea that Israel should annex
Palestine, so Gaza in the WestBank, parts of Syria, Lebanon,

(52:07):
and all of Jordan. And thisshouldn't surprise anyone. This is expansionism,
this is fascism, and this iswhat rightists do. If we don't stop
these hyper religious, ultranationalist fascist fucks, they're going to drag us into a
goddamn holy war in the twenty firstcentury, while millionaire and billionaire disaster capitalists

(52:31):
leech off of the resulting death andchaos for the foreseeable future. So how
do we prevent all this from happeningand never happening again. Well, right
wing ideology is responsible for all ofthis since the beginning of time. Right
Wing ideology is what causes everything bad. It's responsible for everything bad. So

(52:53):
how you solve it is you don'tbe right wing. See it's simple.
We're all gonna die. But yeah, so the people of Palestine and their
struggle is the struggle of all peopleacross the world against fascism. So free
Palestine, motherfuckers. All right?Yeah I really ended the episode like that.
