It helps the other rhythm, andthat's about. It means a lot.
I got a lot to say,but I just want to bring our guests
in and just get back into thepodcast. Yeah, we are live right

(02:16):
now and we're gonna do it rightnow. So here we go, all
the way from Colorado. I gottabring the energy right now, all the
way from Colorado. I'm not gonnarepeat it all the way from the mountains.
Okay. He is a recording artist, yes he Yes, he has
a new single called chimp Out thatjust came out. New single. He

(02:39):
is a student as well in thecollege. Let's go. He has a
show on June thirteenth at the RoxyTheater. Let's bring him in the incredible
talented Apollo. Yes, thank youso much for having me on the show.
I appreciate it, man, thismeans a lot. Honestly, I

(03:02):
feel honored. Bro. Thank youso much for being on the show.
And how's your day so far? How's how's the music scene? Music scene
is good? My day has beenfucking busy. Like I mean, I
kind of just got home right beforethe podcast. I was wondering if I

(03:23):
was gonna make it or not.But you know, I'm glad. I'm
glad that all worked out. Soyou know, I've just been running area
and you know, just kind ofNonStop. But yeah, but yeah,
the music is good. I'm actuallygoing to be in the studio this Friday
and I'm going to be recording anew single. It's gonna be called Type

(03:44):
Away, and it's going to befeaturing actually one of my friends, one
of my very close friends that Iwent to college with, and she's she's
going to be completely new into music, like this is going to be her
first song, you know. Soit is with me so and she has
an amazing voice. She's super talentedand you know, I guess she she
already graduated and everything like that withher bachelors and stuff. So I mean

(04:05):
she's just been you know, kickingass and you know, so now she
wants to try out music and shesees that I'm doing it and she's like,
wow, that's something I've always wantedto do, you know. So
I'm helping her out. So ohwow, it's gonna be great. Yeah,
that's what's up. And like yousaid, it's NonStop. You'll be
at the studio this coming up thisweek. And that's great to hear,

(04:29):
dude, And you're helping others out. Absolutely, I love helping out people,
you know, because I know howhard it can be. And also
when I started out I had myfriends who were already making music helped me
out, you know, so likeI didn't I didn't have to go through
that uh you know kind of trialtheir process that you know, they had
to go through, and they kindof just kind of, you know,

(04:53):
guided me and it was kind ofsmooth sailing, you know, getting me
started in the music industry. Solike that's pretty cool, Sweet Sweat.
Can't thank them enough for that.Yeah, no doubt, shout out to
them for helping you out. Andyou pass it in along, passing the
torch along. Hey, so howlong have you been in the music scene.
I actually just started making music lastyear. So yeah, so I

(05:18):
kind of don't want to get toointo it, but uh you know,
uh I uh, you know,I got into some trouble and stuff like
that, and you know, thenI had to sit down for a little
bit. But uh as soon asI got out, you know, I
had immediately go to uh halfway andI was in a relationship back then in

(05:40):
the Halfway house and uh uh youknow, she broke my heart and uh,
you know, just not being uhyou know solid. So I mean
the first song I ever made wasactually a disc towards her and that's the
one that's on SoundCloud. It's calledinstant. So you know, she,
I mean she didn't, you know, because I've always like used to make

(06:01):
raps in like high school and stufflike that, but just for fun,
and it was only like a coupleof bars, you know, like here
and there. I never really tookthis seriously until like, you know,
that breakup and then me getting outof the halfway house and then yeah,
so I mean, I'm not sayingshe started it, but she definitely ignited
the flame a little bit, youknow what I'm saying. You know,
so, oh yeah, I guessyeah, no, go ahead, I

(06:25):
was gonna say, like you said, deep down, like a big picture,
it ignited the flame. And lookwhere you are now. Yeah.
You know, so I didn't reallywant to do music because everyone's trying to
do it. You know. Iwasn't trying to be like everyone else.

(06:45):
And I was always self conscious. You know, I'm still self conscious,
you know that I'm not where Ineed to be or where I want to
be, you know, but that'sokay. I'm starting to learn to like,
you know, you know, appreciatelike where I'm at and like me
growing as an artist. And justyou know, I'm seeing my lyrics you
know, as I keep writing, and it's just getting way better. So
I mean, I'm glad I'm doingthis. This is actually I think this

(07:06):
is my passion. I'm still goingto school just in case, you know,
but I did think I found mypassion in music, and this is
like really the only thing that Ican see that makes me truly happy.
Yeah, so I'm blessed, truly, You're happy, You're having a great
time. What is it about thatmakes you love it? What makes you

(07:28):
so passionate about it? Is it? Is it? Is it the networking?
Is it performing? Is it writinglyrics? Is it going to the
studio? Is it sending emails oris it all the like? Is it
trial error? Is it freaking tryingto sell tickets? Or is it all
the above? So it's kind ofall of the above. But you know,

(07:54):
I mean all of that stuff isdefinitely it inspires me, and I
definitely enjoy the process, you know, of like getting to do all that
and getting familiar with all different aspectsof the music thing. But truly,
I want to say, what reallymakes me happy? Like I get happy
writing lyrics, you know, becauselike everything that I write, you know,

(08:16):
has happened to me in some wayor form, you know. So
yeah, I don't rap about stuffthat I haven't done. I maybe,
you know, maybe with some ofthe cars, Like there's one where I
say I have a Ferrari, butlike I didn't. I didn't have a
FARRAI. I mean I drove one, but I never had one, you
know. But you know, butall stuff is like all stuff is uh,

(08:39):
you know, related to me,and I I like I like writing
so like it conveys my story ina way that like I can reach other
people. But like the greatest feelingI think is when people come to me
and they're like, yo, Ifucking love your music, or like your
music is so good, and yeah, you know, just getting feedback,
you know, honestly, even ifit's like bad feedback, if they tell

(09:01):
me what, which I haven't reallygot a ton of actually, so that's
that's cool. But you know, you know that can always happen down the
road, who knows. But yeah, just people connecting with my music is
really the greatest thing. I wantto say. That's great to hear.
Yeah, especially when they come upand they can connect with your music.

(09:22):
Yeah, that's too, that's true. Yeah, dang, that goes hard
in the paint. Before I askany more question, Before I go ask
any more questions, I gotta letpeople know where they can follow you and

(12:39):
You know, I just got intomaking music last last year. I
go to school. I mean,uh, you know, being from Colorado,
I guess I don't really like thecold. Maybe it's just because I'm
sick of it. I've been heremy whole life, so like, other
than that, yeah, but Imean I can't really think of anything.

(13:00):
Oh, I mean, but howyou can support me? I mean,

trying to set the set the tone. I guess so like I mean,
uh, parties like a hyper song, I mean, and Seasons is kind
of like chill hype and no bull. I mean, that's that's so semi

(17:18):

(18:06):
we had such a little time. They're telling me about fifteen twenty minutes left.
All right, here we go.Hey, man, can you please
tell us a little bit about,uh why we were tired and at ai
A after the ai A show.Oh man, Yo, there was like
just so so much going on,like you know, just with all the

(18:30):
artists, all the like, allthe stimulation, all the interviews that you
were doing, and I'm sure andjust you know, getting videos and just
everything like that was I'm sure thatwas tiring on your part, me like
kind of after performing and you performingas well, bro Like man, like
I think it was just draining, you know, just for everyone, you

(18:52):
know, because like I think Idon't think I saw really anyone post,
like I want to say birthday afterthe show, like everyone was just gone,
They're like okay, yeah, theyeven had to like announce the winner
a little later because I'm sure theywere just rifling through everything and just had
to take a break, like likeyou did. And I definitely took a
break too, you know, Igot a little faded too, So I

(19:14):
mean, yeah, the next daysaren't aren't really treating me as well as
they used to when I was alittle younger, So recovery days or a
mess? Yeah, dude, Ithink, yeah, I know that.
Yeah, go ahead ahead, Ithink you're absolutely right. How there was
just entered tons of positive energy andso much, so much man, and

(19:37):
everybody was just so much love becauseeverybody was just respect and supporting each other
and watching each other. And dude, and I didn't, I don't.
I didn't drink. I don't drink, So that's good. The next day,
bro, I felt like I washung over though, Like for a

(19:59):
week. I felt like that fora week. Man, I couldn't.
I couldn't do ship. Dude,couldn't. No, Yeah, I don't.
I don't blame you mentally for foryou mentally and physically for me yeah.
But that's good though. Man,I'm trying to actually low key kind

(20:19):
of cut back, if not entirelyhonestly cool cool, it's yeah, yeah,
it's beneficial honestly, so for sure. Yeah dude, and so yeah,
I just uh, I was gonnasay I that stot like man,
I was like, I remember whatyou said in the beginning, Like man,

(20:40):
yeah, I was like you're like, yeah, that was a lot
like whoa. I thought I wasthe only one that Oh snap, all
right, we got the questions here, they're live, bro, thanks for
explaining that to us real quick. His next question goes like this, what
made you want to become a recordingartist? Was it a friend, a

(21:00):
family member? Was it MTV?What's up? I guess, I guess
I mean a little bit all ofthe above. I mean, like,
so, I've always loved music sinceI was a kid. I would uh,
I would definitely download, I meango and buy CDs back when that
was a thing, you know,So buy CDs and like listen to the
whole album from front to back andrehearse all the lyrics. And I would

(21:25):
watch MTV too and see the youknow, the music videos, like when
they used to have it like latenight and early in the morning, early
in the morning. Yeah, yeah, exactly exactly. So that was that
was always my thing. And thenyou know, seeing my friends do it
too and like them having fun.Yeah, it was. It was it
was kind of like, Okay, maybe I should start doing this because they

(21:45):
were always telling me to do it. They were like, you, you
have really good like songs when youdo rap, and I'm gonna just put
this out there. I mean, sometimes I can do it, sometimes I
can't, but I'm not really thatgood at freestyling, so so I have
to write my stuff down. Butyeah, I mean that's basically it just,
you know, just a love formusic really yeah, and what yeah,

(22:08):
and I remember you saying that whatmakes you passionate about it the most
is when people can connect with yourmusic. Yeah yep, that part,
yeah absolutely, So like that kindof keeps me going, you know,
like people telling me, oh,you're really good. Oh I like your
stuff. Oh your stuff is inmy playlist, like just you know,
little stuff like that, you know, and feedback too, you know,

(22:30):
like I appreciate feedback telling me likewhat I did good or maybe what I
could improve on, so that ithelps me for my future songs that I
plan on doing so and I'm liketrying to experiment right now. So like,
I mean, since I'm so freshand I listen to so many different
genres, Yeah, yeah, Imean that kind of that has a big
influence on my music for sure.So yeah, that was a great That

(22:53):
was a great question right there. This next question comes from here, is
from Let's See Oh there you go. Hey, come from Tony. Hey,
Tony, thanks for listening to thepodcast. I don't know where this
question comes from, but thanks forlistening to the podcast. He wants to
know can you please explain? Hewants to know Can you please explain your

(23:15):
favorite and least favorite part about beinga recording artist. Favorite part is kind
of putting your dreams into fruition, you know, like seeing it come true,
you know, from it being onpaper or your phone or whatever phone
notes to like actually hearing it andbe like, Okay, cool, this
is what I was imagining. Worstpart is the stress, the stress about

(23:38):
going to do all that, andsometimes for me, my voice doesn't act
right the day of recording and I'mjust like, oh man, so this
is gonna take multiple takes, youknow. So that's probably the worst.
Yeah, I know. Yeah, after this, dude, I have to

(24:02):
have to go do I gotta practicea set and do some vocal lessons.
So I feel you I know whatthat means. Yeah you get so,
yeah, we get we can.We got it though, we got this.
That's great, we got it.You're saying that you're explaining that to
us right there. Good stuff rightthere. And that was a good question

(24:22):
from Tony. Here we go forthis next one. Yeah, dude,
oh oh, this was a goodquestion. Yeah, no doubt. This
one comes from Kathy Quiggle. KathyQuiggle, thank you so much for listening
to the podcast from Colorado. Kathywants to know what is the biggest lesson

(24:44):
you have learned from being from theWhat's the biggest lesson you've learned from from
being from being in the game forover over a year. I guess the
big this lesson or yeah, biggestlesson is just to keep on going,
you know, like, if youyou're gonna get, you're gonna get,

(25:07):
You're bound to get like a lotof nos. And I actually was just
having this conversation with one of myfriends, like late last night, early
this morning. You're gonna like you'regonna run into a lot of notes,
but to not let that affect youand keep going. Like I mean,
if if some people say they don'tlike your song or they're not vibing with
it, I guarantee you there's gonnabe other people that are going to be

(25:30):
on the complete opposite spectrum and tellyou otherwise. You know, So don't
let that stop you from like wantingto do this and maybe take everything with
a little grain of salt, youknow, and you know, not really
taking offense to it, but usingit as like a learning experience, like,
oh, okay, maybe I canimprove on this or you know,
taking certain parts from what they said. That's right, keep it going.

(25:53):
And then if if you really wantto take the advice, when you get
it the criticism, you can improveor you won't have to listen to it.
But it's totally up to you. That's great stuff right there. It's
all up to you. It's allup to you. This next question here
goes like this, what other hobbiesor interest do you have outside of your

(26:19):
music? And that comes from Kevin. Kevin, thank you so much for
listening to the podcast. That's comesfrom Kevin. Okay, thank you,
Kevin. So I try to staypretty active, so working out is definitely
a big thing of mine. Idefinitely got into that kind of recently.

(26:40):
I used to always play sports, but like as far as like lifting weights,
that wasn't really my thing until recently. So I really got into lifting
weights and so that's cool. Soexercise, I want to say, maybe
maybe hiking and stuff like that.I don't have too many people to hike
with, so it sucks being outhere with no one really the I with,
So I definitely need some friends todo that with. And you know,

(27:03):
trying new activities like I'm a foodie. I love trying new restaurants,
that kind of stuff, you know, and just doing just new and exciting
things, you know, cool cool. Do you play? Do you play
video games? Oh? Oh mygosh, I can't believe I yeah,
of course video games are my thing. Man. I need to get a
PC though, because PCs are justway better. But like, well,

(27:26):
I know, I know, Ifeel that's the feel that I feel a
lot of people are going that routenow. Yeah, yeah, I mean
PlayStation Xbox was my thing, thenPlayStation because all my friends got PlayStation and
now everyone's on PC. So it'slike, oh my gosh, Like I
just one thing after so and thenit's probably gonna be VR after that.
You know what I'm saying. SoI don't know. So I don't know.

(27:49):
But video games, I can't believeI does. Yeah, are we
talking about That's what's up. We'retalking role playing games or sports games.
So I'm getting into sports games.Like two K was always cool. Yeah,
two K was cool. So I'vealways liked two K, but more
like a first person or like openworld kind of games like Assassin's Creed was

(28:14):
my thing. Bro, Which one? I mean, if I'm gonna be
honest, I mean, yeah,if I'm gonna be honest, I kind
of you know. I mean Iliked I liked the second one with s
C O and stuff, but likeI did kind of like the Pirate one
Black Flag sailing the ships. Thatwas kind of cool. That's what they
say. They see that one wasalmost the one. Yeah, that was

(28:37):
cool. That was really cool.I did like that one. Great,
Great, that's cool, dude.If you haven't played it, I can't,
okay. I mean before that gamecame out, those other games like
Assize of the Screed where they hadkind of missions where you're out there with
the boat, and I did notlike and I did not like those missions,

(29:00):
man. And then when I heardit, when that game came out,
that is, and then they havea lot of boat stuff like that,

said to stick with it because Iactually like they They said that I actually
have genuine talent and that that mademe feel like confident and that that made

Hey, dude, last question,if someone's going through a tough time,
what advice would you give them? And then I'm about to close it

time, don't isolate yourself. Thatis the worst thing you can do because
when I isolate myself, I justget worse and more depressed or angry or

(31:18):
whatever. So like, reach outto people, you know what I'm saying,
don't be afraid to like be vulnerable. Now, now, choose which
persons to be vulnerable with, forsure, But if they're your best friends
or whatever, family. Like yousaid, then you should have no problem
opening up to them and stuff likethat. And if they're not with it,
then you probably shouldn't be friends withthem in the first place. That's
