of overgiven, so all we can do.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
I'm telling you, bro, I'm telling you, and I'm so
grateful that you get your pay for your patience, because
patience is an action, man, and you got patience. So
thank you so much for being persistent and patience. And
now we're here today, man, because this is just you know,
I'm having the time of my life right now, and
(03:52):
to be here with you right now, to hear your
story and hear your music, it's gonna be it's gonna
be lit man. So tell us a little bit about
your yourself. Man, you are you native in Colorado?
Speaker 5 (04:04):
No, I'm I'm actually a Navy brad. I grew up
in Naples, Italy. It's sciendipitously stumbled onto this part of
the US five years ago and on tour, and uh,
you know, it's been a blessing. Everything happens for a reason,
went Anthony Block aka Bubba Spwiss. I'm a small business
owner now and they buff artists currently out of Denver, Colorado.
I'm you can find my music on every platform that exists.
(04:26):
Just google Bubba Swifts and you'll find everything that you need.
Speaker 3 (04:30):
Heck, yeah, man, Bubba Spliss from Maple's Italy, US five
years ago and so far, how how far has the
transition been for you? Sounds like you've been enjoying it.
Speaker 5 (04:43):
Yeah, I've definitely been essential. Like I'm really glad. I said.
As difficult as some events happen in life, every lesson
comes to the blessing. And honestly, God has settled me
down and sit down in Colorado to find myself and
I didn't have it for a reason. I'm bere able
to be here and grateful to be alive.
Speaker 3 (05:02):
Jeez, you had to go there didn't you. You had
to go there. You had to bring the Holy Ghost,
You had to bring God into this. You had to
bring Jesus into this. Bro, you had to bring gratefulness.
You that's what this podcast is all about. Man, Oh dude,
(05:23):
you hit the core. You hit the core of this podcast.
Yes we bring listeners, we bring artists in here, yes
we bring your we hear the story. But the core
of this podcast is exactly what you said, and that's
gratefulness and god, oh my gosh. Bro, who that was
deep right there? Okay, Bro, when when when did you
(05:46):
start taking this music game seriously?
Speaker 5 (05:51):
I want to say I was seventeen years old and
you got my first start somewhere out of I realized that,
like the music was there for me and other times,
you know, it's an opportunity for me to learning about
myself age I couldn't anyway, So seventeen was going to
start taking it two more seriously. And then I did
(06:12):
my first show when I was eighteen, and my social
anxiety almost disappeared entirely. You know what I'm saying, Like
music changed my life. I had to stick to it.
Speaker 3 (06:21):
Okay, okay, And you're talking about a little bit about
social anxiety. You're saying that you think the music helped
you conquer that.
Speaker 5 (06:30):
Absolutely, I couldn't. I used to not be able to
like make eye contact with people. I was homeschooled for
like eighth grade and it was the interesting like comma upbringing.
But like the last of time I did my first show,
it was definite of like skydiving. If I had to
imagine what that was like, it just it was an aging. Wow, great, great.
Speaker 3 (06:48):
Social anxiety. I remember having that a little bit. But uh,
what helped me go, what helped me with social anxiety
was to get out there and put myself out there.
It's not easy, but I made some well, I mean
I wrote down some gold down and yeah, here I
am today. So yeah, do social anxiety. I conquered that.
I actually now have a great time in front of
(07:08):
people from the crowds. So that's cool. Cool. When's your
next show?
Speaker 5 (07:15):
Honestly, I don't know. I don't want to say it's
some There's so much going on right now. I know
that there's like three different events I'm trying to book with.
I might be performing with the Seeing a Lot of
Music festival in Florida in late September or early September
or other, and there's an opportunity in California. I'm trying
to keep out maybe August twenty fifth. Okay, yeah, it's
a tip. You have to be announced to hear.
Speaker 3 (07:36):
The great man. What did you think about the AIA
collaboration here in Colorado?
Speaker 5 (07:43):
I was for it. It was amazing. There was so
much talent, there was so much positive energy and doctor
the city. It just it just brought a whole new
perspective to like the potential behind like the local scenes
and stuff like that. Like I know people are about
their movement and about their dreams. Man, there was so
much energy that I loved it.
Speaker 3 (08:02):
But tell me real quick, what made that different than
from the other events you're parted.
Speaker 5 (08:09):
Other events in a bardon, I don't see so much
of a cooperative or unified and everything the same dream,
the same same vibe. Everyone was positive and no one
was there hating on each other. No one was there
trying to be the best, no one. Everyone knew that,
you know what I'm saying. It's not a critical path
and the dream, the drive, I mean like it was
I don't know, it was organic, That's what it felt.
(08:29):
Like it felt like it was organic, not often found.
Speaker 3 (08:31):
The cool man. It felt organic, the diversity, and it
felt like well yeah, for me, I felt like everybody
there wanted to see everybody perform because I saw. That's
what I felt. Everybody saw. Everybody performed. It was so cool.
Yeah yeah, And everybody was there to support each other
(08:52):
and encourage each other. So it was nice. That was
some good good stuff. And this is the perfect segue.
Right now, guys, I want to give a quick shout out,
guys to the let's see here, it's great here coming through.
Quick shout out to everybody listening to right now. I
want to give a quick shout out to the studio.

us safe under their wings. And thank you God for
this amazing podcast, for Anthony being here, and thank you
God for Anthony being safe and sound. Thank you God

God defend us in battle. Be our protection against the
wickedness and stares of the devil. May God rebuke him.

Yes, sir, I can't.
Speaker 3 (18:28):
Okay, Yeah, I hear you a lot and clear boss

Speaker 5 (18:40):

Speaker 3 (18:41):
We do it live, baby, We do it live. We
just keep it going. We don't we don't edit nothing.
We just keep it going out. That whole time you're gone,
I was just I was. I was talking it up.
I was talking you up. So that was awesome. Let's
keep it going, guys. This first question, yo, bro, where
did the name come from? Bubba Splifts?
Speaker 5 (19:00):
Honestly, it was straight up throwing in my brain and
like I don't even know. It was like god, I
was sitting down in a school bus. I was fourteen
years well to theorize, speculate if I was to be
an artist, what would it be called? And I guess
a relative of mine when I was young refer to
(19:20):
me as Zuka, Zuka Joe or like Bubba and it's
the only Bubba, So it had like a family derivative
on the on the on the first half of the
name and then the latter part splits. There's something in
high school or the teenager out utilized up so we
do overcome whatever demons and adversities I was facing. So
splitz is a favorite thing among us young, right on, right.
Speaker 3 (19:38):
On, And what's been helping you with building a fan
base here in Colorado? What's been helping you build? Helping
you build a fan base?
Speaker 5 (19:53):
H all the same as the platform like meeting and
other like social media. What's helped me do with and date?
It's honestly Yeah, live union like yeah live side shows.
Live shows have been opportunistic as well networking and having
the ability to discovering myself to music, you know, mainly
shows and events. Being able to put myself where I
(20:14):
want to be.
Speaker 3 (20:15):
Tell us a little bit about Live Me.
Speaker 5 (20:18):
Love Me is a broadcasting platform. I recently started my
own agency on I was formerly a contracted broadcaster and
I'll be returned to very shortly, very sooner. Other and
essentially I utilized the platform for raising awareness, mentalth awareness
and suicide prevention type slides and messages music as an
opportunity to network musically, and you know, it's it's all around.
(20:41):
It's fun competitions and a little bit of fun side
gig on the side and make money measly. I love
love mean. Live me is kind of like it's just
like any other but they like bo and stuff like that.
You can utilize the platform for whatever you desire. I
just personal needs it for mental health and music musical networking.
Speaker 3 (21:00):
Okay, so I'm gonna have to check out live me.
I never heard of it, so I'll check that out.
Speaker 5 (21:04):
Absolutely, you get to be a contacted broadcaster is as
simple as that, and you can get monthly bonuses just
seeing what you love on the side of a real
guild of anything.
Speaker 3 (21:14):
Okay, I'm gonna check it out. I'm gonna check that out, guys,
Live me, all right, next question here it goes like this.
Oh man, here we go, Here we go. Man, there's
just so many great questions. I don't know which ones
(21:34):
to ask. What is it about your music that makes
you feel so passionate?
Speaker 5 (21:46):
I like the fact that it's kept me alive and
times I otherwise likely would not have been. And mental
health is a rather serious verse adversary in my life,
and it's been kind of fundamental and combating mental health
and stuff like that. So music's staying everything for me.
Speaker 3 (22:00):
I understand. Okay, So it's been really great for you
for your your mental health.
Speaker 5 (22:06):
Growing up that is, yeah, you know, and discovering myself
as an individual. You know, sent of identity is important
in life apparently so in value like self work is
important as well, And I kind of found an opportunity
to not only get to know myself in a way
like from almost a third part of perspectives, but like
I found a way to appreciate being in a different
different aspect for sure.
Speaker 3 (22:27):
For sure I like that. And what do you what
would you say to an artist that's listening right now?
Has been the easiest way to book shows.
Speaker 5 (22:40):
The book shows yeaps. Literally you've never stopped doing what
it is if you love and putting yourself every single place,
the opportunity may knock in your door because it never
comes that often, and when it does, it's literally it's bold,
it's a parent and you will feel it. Trust your good,
trusting your gout is so import and honestly, if I
(23:02):
didn't just like listen to the random inclinations and inclinations
rather to the impulse. I probably wouldn't have found myself
and have the crazy as a game. And that's like
in the holy spirit almost, I feel like talking to
you and just go go where it leads you. Literally
you'll find the craziest opportunity where you just never have
imagine otherwise.
Speaker 3 (23:21):
Absolutely absolutely. Man. Sometimes I'm like what am I doing?
And then and then I say, I'm just doing what
the Holy yeah, what the Holy ghost is telling me
what to do? Man? Straight up. Sometimes I'll be booking
things here and there and I'm like, what am I
even doing? But some reason I'm doing it. And when
the day comes when I have to travel, I say
(23:41):
to myself, why, I can't believe I'm doing this right now,
But apparently I'm doing this and I'm about to hop
on this plane.
Speaker 5 (23:47):
So here we go.
Speaker 3 (23:48):
Yeah, dude, it like it finally hits me, It really
hits me. For a second. I don't know why I'm
doing this, but I know I love what I'm doing.
Speaker 2 (23:56):
But here I go.
Speaker 3 (23:57):
You know, cool man, I'm glad of you and I
can vibe on that.
Speaker 5 (24:00):
Bro.
Speaker 3 (24:01):
That's some deep stuff right there.
Speaker 5 (24:05):
Wo.
Speaker 3 (24:05):
Man, all right, we got guys. I know the time
flies by. I told you thirty minutes flies by. I
tell people, they're always like, hollow is the podcast? Say
thirty minutes? They're like, are we gonna have enough time
to talk? I'm like, yo, thirty minutes flies by, thirty
minutes has already gone by, guys, So we got we're
in overtime right now. We got seven minutes left. So
I'm gonna ask Bubba Bubba about a few more questions.
(24:28):
Here we go, if you can answer them real fast,
here we go. What is the biggest lesson that you've
learned from your music journey?
Speaker 5 (24:39):
The biggest lesson I learned from a musical journey. Honestly,
it's just not me who I am as an individual.
If it wasn't for music, I would not I would
not know who Anthony Block is. Anthony Block became aware
it's himself and is a value of life. We can
(25:00):
tells of music. She be told like I was lost
in the sauce, you know, saying music helped me find
my way.
Speaker 3 (25:07):
Badass, You know, I wanted to let you. I want
to let you know that you got an amazing light
behind you as you're speaking like right now, there's a
big bright light or I mean there's a yellow light,
but I think it's coming from the window and ingram, Yeah,
that's beautiful. It looks great. Okay, cool, Like it's perfect lighting. Man,
that's how that's what I'm talking about. That's called that's
(25:27):
called natural lighting. Right there. Okay, this next next question
we got guys, We've got two more questions. They're important
right now. Oh man, here we go. Oh, this was
one of my favorites. This is one of my favorite
uh uh, there we go. What's the best piece of
(25:48):
advice another recording artist ever gave you?
Speaker 5 (26:00):
Honestly, before I even knew it, sobriety and the genuine,
genuine capability of just enjoying a passion and a dream
in his life. It's like without the necessity or the
desire for something to substitute, you know, consciousness, and it's
just just taking me. But yeah, this sobriety, and before
I even knew what sobriety was, And like, God's blessing
(26:23):
the interesting ways they're in. But like the point is
it definitely was to enjoy life as it is organically
and simply.
Speaker 3 (26:30):
When did you when did you really When did grateful?
Speaker 2 (26:34):
When?
Speaker 3 (26:34):
When did being grateful in God? When did you really
find that?
Speaker 5 (26:40):
With like? When? With like, I would say probably at
the end of the last chapter per se of of
my losing side with mental health and as a young
teenager stud probably in my early twenty uh Jebruary eighteen
to twenty eighteen or February twenty eighth, twenty eighteen, I
did something dumb a lot of time, and you know,
(27:02):
I'm still alive, and then God gave me a plenty
of reason to find out.
Speaker 3 (27:06):
What beautiful man. I like to hear that, because for me,
I always believed in God and Jesus. But I'd say
the last like, I'm really deep into it now by
the last eight years. But growing up all that, I
was always spiritual and went to church in that but
like in my twenties, I kind of got away. I
wouldn't say got away, but I didn't go to church
(27:27):
as much, and I wasn't really praying because I was
always partying and wasting just wasting stupid time, you know,
just wasting right, wasting wasting time to wasting money. But
then I really found myself man, and I found God
and Jesus and the holy Ghost who saved my life,
who is my savior and is my shield and in
my strength. Oh man, glory be to God. Dude, that's
(27:49):
what's up.
Speaker 5 (27:50):
Much love to you as well. That just made me
remember prison. That's another place we have really song with Jesus.

putting that stuff in your rhymes. Man, that's so dope.

Speaker 5 (28:37):
Straight up? I know reaching out is oftentimes the hardest
thing to be. But when you're alone and you feel alone,
believe in your God.
Speaker 3 (28:46):
Know that you're not.
Speaker 5 (28:47):
More often than not, somehow, some way, someone somewhere love you,
and if not, I do so just keep fighting a
good fight. You never ever started doing what it is
you love give no excuses, get no setbacks or nothing stopping.
You know what I'm saying, Every blessing and listen is
an opportunity to keep them better.
