being said, sir, let's talk about it.

Well, first and foremost, we know what time of year
it is. The Atlanta Braids are back in the saddle
again and it's World Series or bust. Right the Atlanta
Braves opening day season is here. There's always a special
time because at the beginning of the season, anybody can
win the World Series. Right, So right now, who could

be that starting lineup? As we do still have some
injuries that we got to follow up with. You got
possibly profar Riley Olsen Ozuna, Harris Alby's Drake Baldwin, the
rookie catcher, Jared Kalinnik, Orlando Rcia all in the lineup.
Chris Sale is going to be your open and dangs starter,

but you also have Rinaldo Lopez, Spencer Schwallenbach, Grant Holmes,
and A. J. Smith Shaver who will be our probably
number five until Strider comes back in Really shout out
to Drake Baldwin for getting drafted in the third round
in twenty twenty two and now he's in the big leagues.
He hit two eighty six and spring training with four RBIs,

Nick Allen and Eli White will probably be on the
bench with Brian De la Cruz. Chadwick Trump will probably
be the other catcher. Jordan, any startup season predictions for
the Braves wins playoffs, What do you feel they're going
to do in the first three two three months of
the season as we get back from injuries from last
year with Ronald and Strider You're on mute, Jordan.

It's always hard to put.

It's always hard to predict what's gonna happen, you know,
early in the season, especially while we won't have our
full complement of players in Ronald Cuna as special striders,
so certainly Eagle awaiting their return.

Long term.

While as far as throughout the season, I do feel
like this baseball team is a playoff team. I do
feel like that one of the three most talented baseball
teams in the National League, despite them not being top
three in the National League in payroll in maybe four
or five. But I know the Met's phillies, and of
course the Dodgers always spent more money than the Praise,

But yet I do believe the Praise are still among
the three most talented. I guess my main concerns it
is a shortt opposition. Orlando Orcia has struggled pretty mightily
with the bat in spring training. I'm also keeping an
eye on the catcher position. I want to see how

well Drake Balwin indeed.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
Does, and I'm hoping that he does so well that
he becomes.

Speaker 5 (05:49):
At least part of an equal time share at catcher,
because we certainly need a good bat at that spot.

This is true. We know that Ian Anderson is no
longer here. They trade them out, So I know one
thing you've been mentioning. If we have one injury on
our start in rotation, what could happen. Don't want to
mention it on air, but at the end of the day,
I think we do have a team that can compete
in the here and now with that lineup. That lineup

is still pretty good.

You know.

If everybody hit No Sin and noz in in the
middle there, if Michael Harris takes another leapin, I think
we'll be okay. Long term, It'll just really become a
matter of if Ronald comes back healthy and Strider comes
back healthy, what that team can do at that point.
But we're gonna be talking a lot of braves this year, folks,
so hopefully you'll be wanting to chime in with your

now now. As as of the recording of this particular episode,
the Atlanta Hawks are thirty five and thirty seven on
the season. As a result of their most recent loss

to the Houston Rockets, where they really came back all
the way down from twenty five. They lost by seven.
They are two wins away from getting back to five hundred.
They've won three or four, six and four in their
last ten, leading the Southeast Division by half a game
currently five and a half games from the sixth spot,
one and a half game cushion on the seventh spot,
twenty six conference wins, sixteen wins against teams five hundred

or higher. Currently, the Hawks would play the Boston Celtics
in the first round, who they have beaten twice this season.
Last time was in January where even though we only
got three points from Clinton seven points from vic JJ
went five to thirteen.

Speaker 2 (07:37):
In the game.

We still won that game and Boston was only missing Perzingis. Yet,
there are hundreds thousands of people that call themselves Atlanta
Hawks fans that hate everything I just said because it
means we're having a better season than last year. Some
people thrive on being miserable. They love losing for some reason,
They love not being competitive. They hate that Trey Young

is on the team and doing well, and they post
this every day online on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter to prove
how much they hate the Atlanta Hawks and Trey Young.
Just the other day, I was basically told that his
Dominique Wilkins has a statue in front of State Farm
arena indicates everything he didn't do as a Hawk, Right,
So when Trey Young gets a statue, is that when
people will finally stop hating him, even though he's already

surpassed much of what Dominique has actually done, except for
all time points obviously, right, which he'll do in the
last next six to seven seasons. So again, Jordan, tell
me why these people really hate Trey Young.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
I think the battles with.

Speaker 5 (08:39):
Sir, that's what I would call a sheep mentality that
since Tray Young, or even really prior to Trey Young
being drafted.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
For some reason, the media has not been.

Speaker 5 (08:53):
His biggest proponent, and in fact, they've been quite the opponent,
and that would include.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
One he was drafted.

Speaker 5 (09:04):
He was picked passed by a couple of different publications
as the most likely player in his draft class to
be a bus Now, they were obviously way way wrong
about that. But rather than admitting that and just allowing
giving Tray his props and you know, talking about how

good he is, what they've done is dan Is continued
to knit pick his name and every turn, continue to
down him at every turn. And so for people who
don't think for themselves and their sports opinions are just
formulated off of national media guys, many of which do
not watch the Office very often, if at all.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
That's when you get a contingent of people to think
like these people think.

Speaker 4 (09:49):
Chris, that's a very interesting point that you made. And
just think about this, everybody who's listening on Sports Visions
ninety two to one film. Trey has passed all the
past Atlanta Hall Point guards in both all time points
and assists. Trey is two and a half seasons away
from becoming the hawks third time leading scorer, and the
only players to go past he would have to go

past is Bob Pettitt and Dominique Wilkins. That's it. He
has already passed Kyrie Irving, Ray Allens, Budwell, Tim Duncan,
Johannis Dennis Schroeder, Grant Hill, Charles Barkley, Tea Matt in
all time assists. Jamal Crawford, Jeff t Jason Williams, Joe Dumars,
Wilt Chamberlain are next. Paul Pierce, Vince Cardon, DeRozan, Draymond Green,

Kevin Durant, Mark Price are all in in the realm
of being passed within the next year and a half
by Trey Young year eight. He's going to pass Dot
Rivers all time. Joe Johnson, Nate McMillen, Walt Fraser, Kenny Anderson,
The Joker, Karl Malone, Jason Terry, Alan, Irverrison, Michael Jordan,
Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Larry Bird, Dwayne Wade. Are all those

players I just mentioned Jordan terrible players? I don't think
they are right. But here's something even more interesting, because
when you're talking about mentality, you can't have it both ways.
Steve Nash in his first seven seasons in the league
and assists and points three points two assists a game,
nine points three assists, eight points five assists, eight points

five assists, fifteen points seven assists, eighteen point seven assists
and seventeen point seven assists. Those are his first seven seasons,
and those last two seasons he got MVP votes. Jason
Kidds first seven seasons eleven and seven, sixteen to nine,
eleven and nine, ten and nine, eleven and nine, and
eleven and nine, and he got V points MVP votes

(11:43):
without eleven and nine as well. Okay, Steve Nash after
those first seven seasons won back to back MVPs averaging
fifteen points and eleven assists and eighteen points and ten
point five assists. Trey Young is first seven seasons nineteen
points eight assists, twenty nine points nine assists, twenty five points,

nine point four assists, twenty eight points, nine point seven assists,
twenty six points, ten assists, twenty five points, ten point
eight assists, and currently twenty four points eleven point four assists.
Trey Young ain't getting no MVP votes, but he is
the only one out of those two players who are
doing the numbers that Trey is doing, and nobody else
in the league or point guards or whoever is averaging

(12:27):
twenty five and ten like Trey Young. Yet his career
is supposed to be a bomb, whereas these other guys
who are barely getting five points a game are supposed
to be great. It's confusing to me, Jordan, It's very confusing, Chris.

Speaker 2 (12:43):
First of all, Trey is a player is a very.

Speaker 5 (12:46):
Unique player because he can actually control, and in fact
not only control, dominated the game without scoring points. He's
just that good of a passer. We haven't seen the
passer coming to the league like this in a very
long time. As you just ran those numbers down. I
mean a guy like Steve Nash, it took him many
years to get to the level of where he was

(13:08):
an elite passer in point guard. So when you compare
his early career numbers to trains, Pray blows him out
of the water, I mean easily. And you know, most
of the best passers, like a John Stocked for example,
they didn't have the ability to score the ball like
Tree does as well. You know, Trayky can score you

(13:29):
know forty, you know, close to fifty points if need
be two get the team to will the team to victory.
So Trady is such a unique player. It's quite understanding
of me.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
You know, the one knocked people want to have on
him as defense, but she's improved mightily on that end.
And you know, he's not near a love.

Speaker 5 (13:51):
The liability on defense that people make him out to be.
In effect, most of these fasts don't really care a
whole bunch.

Speaker 2 (13:57):
Of our defense. And two they be to try to
tear somebody down with it.

Speaker 5 (14:02):
And so that's when they used to go to for
a trade young I guess the only other knock on
trade well one of the Knox's turnovers. But as we
put it out in the past, the all time turnover
list pretty much as every one of the greatest players
of all time in the top twenty five.

Speaker 2 (14:20):
With exception of Michael Jordan. So you know that's way
over blow.

Speaker 5 (14:26):
When a guy makes as many difficult pass as Trade mates,
he's gonna turn it over sometimes. I guess the only
legitimate some other legitimate can play people have about Trade
is his lack of efficiency. I would love to see
him shoot the ball like he shot it three or
four years ago when he shot almost forty percent from
three point range. But it's quite difficult one. You're the

focus of these NBA defenses. They're doubling and triple the
traffic you all game long, and you don't really have
another all star level teammate to relieve that.

That's your front of you.

Speaker 4 (15:00):
Christian And as we get ready to go into our
next segment, Trey Young is twenty five points nine point
eight assists a game. He's thirteenth in NBA history at
twenty five points a game average. He's above Dominique Wilkins
and Kobe Bryant. There are no other point guards in
NBA history averaging twenty five and tennissists twenty five points.
In Tennis's not Magic Johnson, not John Stockton, Only James Harden,

Lebron James, and Oscar Robinson are ahead of him in
thirty point TENNISIS games. He's only played seven seasons, trade
just passed John Stockton in twenty point TENNISIS games. Only
Isaiah Thomas CP three, James Harden, Russell Westbrook, Magic Johnson,
and Lebron James are ahead of him in history of
the NBA. But we're supposed to believe that doesn't matter.

So that's crazy. But definitely if you watch around the

When it comes to college basketball, most of all Georgia teams,
unfortunately are no longer playing ball, and the most recent
wanted to get eliminated on the women's side was Georgia
Tech women. They lost to Richmond forty nine to seventy
four in the first round of the YEAAA tournament.

And so that end of the season for the Lady Jackets.
I guess that's what they're.

Speaker 4 (17:37):
Called uga the Bulldogs. The men's team, they also got
knocked out of the tournament. Gonzada knocked them out eighty
nine to sixty eight. ASA new Well had twenty points
solars to Marry had fifteen. They in their season at
twenty and thirteen. But congrats with the team for making
the tournament. They pushed hard to get there, Jordan, any

Kind of mixed results this past week with the Skyhawks
first game, they lost one to the Knicks G League
team one to one thirty. They were there by Dark
kil Trunner, who amazingly had thirty eight points off the
bitch or the Skyhawks on ten of sixtewo from three

point range and all that enough, he hit a three.

A buzzer beating three again every quarter of regulation. Hit
that ball game.

I watched a crazy game, right but unfortunately.

The Skyhawks did fall in ot. Then the next game,
the Skyhawks did get a win five against the Cleveland Charge.
The Skyhawks will led that game by a Leonard Hawk
two way player kick Kwan Plowden with twenty seven points,
nine rebounds and four.

Back in Columbus, Georgia, we have the Columbus Storm now.
The other week, coach Brad had the team playing really well,
but they hit another snack this time when they went
to New Orleans and they got beat by the Crescent
City Kings thirty three to six. Right now, they're currently
three and two on the Have you been to any
games yet? Again, you need to make sure that you

get down to Garrett Harris Stadium in Columbus to watch
them play. In the last game, you had some players
to note, and these are some of the players that
you get to hear quite often trade crititon on offense
number eighteen, the Terry and Davis number nineteen and Slayton
Graham number twelve, so oh, and Kobe Collins number seven.
Make sure you get a chance to watch these guys

in Columbus, Georgia at Garant Harrison. Their next game actually
is going to be April fifth against the Panama City Panthers,
so make sure you support them and also visit them
on the Columbus Storm Facebook page as well. The Columbus
River Dragons earned a home and home split with the
Carolina Thunderbirds in Winston Salem, North Carolina. They lost the
first game three to one, then one five to two.

Justse McDonald had the only goal in the loss, but
in the win, Cody Witlin had two goals and Nolan
had to assist. They're currently still third in the conference
at twenty four and thirteen. Again, playoff hockey is almost here,

our last team, any updates on any other teams that
you can think of right now?

There is in fact, you know, on social media most
major sports cities as a writer or a superfan or whatnot,
that kind of keeps a counter of how many days
it's being since that city has won a championship. Well,
you can reset that counter for the city of Atlanta, sir,

because in the GGL Golf Left to Drive Golf Club
took home the first ever EGL Championship.

The first match was on Monday and they've won sixty five.

Speaker 5 (24:58):
There was a thrilling comeback because they trailed to the
four in that match, but Patrick Cantley came up clutch
by making a six foot Bertie foot to kill Atlanta
a sixty five victory and take a one on lead
and the best of three.

Then come back on Tuesday. He was snipping top match
back and forth.

Speaker 5 (25:17):
On the fourteenth hole, Billy Horschel stuck a seventeenth foot
but on the fourteenth hole give Atlanta Drive the lead
and Patrick Canteley once again came up big in Bertie
eighteen to match the New York Golf Club's Bertie and
to preserve the win for Atlanta. For that being said,

congratulations to Billy Horschel, Patrick Cantalay, Justin Thomas, the three
guys who were part of the winning team to bring
home the championship, but also Lucas Glover, the fourth member
who is has played throughout the season and contributed as well.

on X or Twitter, whatever you want to call it.
At Jordan twenty three at l Off the Blank just
craling the trophy and he looks so happy, sir, to
be creating that trophy. So congratulations to all of those guys,

Huge news there for the Drive, and I asked for
that update now, Jordan, I appreciate that because I didn't

is another actual championship in Atlanta. That is huge news
