Speaker 1 (00:00):
I live a lifestyle where I openly admit that creativity
is an addiction. Unplugged because we will always say yes
to creativity, totally uncut because we all make mistakes. So
let's turn it into a tool. This is arrow unplugged. Wow.
Being in this studio fun fun, fun, fun fun fun
fun fun fun. Overlooking this forest in South Charlotte, North Carolina. Hey,

(00:20):
I just started a new podcast. It's called Thanks for
Being a Part of the Conversation, and it's my goal
to help share the journey of this forest and the
energy that is in it. And man, when I show
people pictures of this forest are like, what the Oh
my god, I can see why you write in this forest.
But the podcast is brand new. The first episode went
up yesterday and it's called thanks for Being a part

(00:42):
of the Conversation. It's kind of kid driven, but I
think as adults we still love storytelling. Hey, Sara, this
is the choice. This is what I was writing while
the sun was waking up on a brilliant new day
in prayer this morning. My heart was set on trying
to understand what we think forgiveness is, What is it?

(01:02):
What is forgiveness in your life? And does it automatically
say well, once you forgive, you have to forget. But
what is forgiveness? A lot of bad stuff goes down daily,
and we create an excuse as to why a person
would have made such a bad decision. Now here's what
the research says. It shows that we tend to have

(01:24):
more compassion for the rule breakers because we've grown accustom
to them breaking rules. One leader says, we should start
saying no to those who continue to do us wrong.
But you know how people are. People who allow bad
behavior are enablers. We allow them to do what they're
doing because we instantly forgive while trying to forget. Or

(01:48):
are we forgetting without forgiving because we just kind of
set things aside, right would that not be? Ah, I'm
gonna forget this situation ever happened? So now forgiveness has
fallen completely off the map. Sadly, someone who tries to
change a person that brings bad things to a relationship
is often accused of having new compassion. Therefore, they're bullying

(02:14):
the rule breaker when they say stop, I stop at No,
we don't do that here, okay go oh so now
I'm the rule breaker, I'm the bully for trying to
say no to someone who's constantly breaking the rules. But
what happens when our hearts were thin? Now, I'm no
professional here. I am no professional, but I'll tell you

(02:35):
what I do. When I'm surrounded by those that get
away with everything, I just stay away from them. Yeah.
I stay completely away from the non carrying walk of
those who endlessly hurt. And here's the reason why. As
a child, I wanted to go play basketball at Ponderosa
Elementary School in Billings, Montana, and my dad said, I

(02:56):
better not ever catch you playing basketball at that school.
But Dad, it's outside the building. It's on the playground.
You heard me. I'd better not ever see you on
that playground. Dad, Why? And he goes, here's the situation.
You could be playing a game of basketball, having the

(03:18):
time of your life, and somebody that you didn't see
or know throws a rock through the window. Guess who's
going to get blamed for throwing that rock through the window.
You don't ever let me see you play basketball at
that school. Okay. So that's the reason why when it
comes to being with a rule breaker, I choose not

(03:39):
to be a very good friend of mine. Her son
is in prison right now because he was in the
car of someone who did something illegal, and because he
was in the car, he's in prison. That's the way
it goes. You see what I mean. If somebody is
breaking the rules around you, if someone is making bad

(04:01):
decisions around you, I'm not a professional. Just stay away.
Listen to my dad's voice. I better not catch you
on the playground playing basketball. But isn't it amazing how
people making bad choices and decisions when it comes to
how should I play this out? Affects us all. I'm

(04:23):
Eryl and that's what I was writing. Well, the sun
was waking up on a brilliant new day.
