Speaker 1 (00:00):
Creativity is an addiction, unplugged because we will always say
yes to creativity, totally uncut because we all make mistakes.
So let's turn it into a tool. This is arrow
unplugged stream thinking. It's learning how to trust what is
in your present. To get there require some practice. I
do one sheet of paper every day ten minutes. That's it.
(00:21):
Write about whatever is moving through your presence of right
now without judgment. Stream thinking sharpens your skills as a listener,
as a communicator, and as an activator. Learning how to
trust what is right now. This is stream thinking today.
We're reading from June third, twenty twenty three. We're gonna
get really serious here about a subject that a lot
(00:42):
of us don't want to bring into our circles because
we don't want to look like that person, that person
that has a lot of questions but doesn't have that
eh that step to say, can we please make a
change here? But this is what was written on June third,
twenty twenty three. Have we stepped back into the age
of corporate America mistreating its only source to make revenue?
(01:05):
Research shows that toxic culture is the true reason that
led to the Great Resignation. CNBC reports that job unhappiness
is at an all time high. Therefore, the employees are
disengaging themselves from the company's drive to success. Here's an
issue here. Mental health at the workplace is in crisis
(01:26):
mode and making that claim, insurance companies sadly getting help
is almost impossible due to high costs and the lack
of professionals accepting new patients. So they push us to
the internet connection. Yet that one place where we go
when we're looking for a rush. Yeah, social media, we're
all junkies. The threat of AIS taking over our jobs,
(01:49):
it's not a takeover. If you just step to the side,
then you have to ask, who will Corporate America pick
on next. We need professionals. We need professionals that are
searching for other professionals. Not the first guy that sent
in the resume. Oh I think he'll fit the part,
will bending, will shaping. We'll make that person the next
(02:11):
big thing. I have an essential job. I see how
they're training managers, taking them from over here to somehow
putting them here. But they've never done one single day
of that job's experience. But we're going to train you.
Radio is no different. The thing is with radio, we
(02:31):
had to go to school, or if we were lucky enough,
we were invited to do some things around the radio station.
And then when people liked you, it's like, hey, why
don't we just give him an airshift on the weekend
and we'll let him grow. But it seems like that
we always invest in the one that we think has
the potential and not the one who truly has the potential.
(02:54):
And the reason being is because and I've been accused
of this so many times, you come with the luggage. Dude,
you are set in your ways. I totally agree with that,
but there comes a time where we need to work
together as a generation and say something's not right. Because
when they're reporting that employees are disengaging themselves from the
company's drive to success, who's making those decisions? And is
(03:19):
that person who has made that decision the one that
should be there. This is not a knock. We're just
trying to create a conversation to better understand the platform
that we walk onto every single day. No anger, just listening.
Just want to know. My nose is always in a book,
My ears are always listening. If they're saying that we're
(03:42):
disengaging from our positions at the job and mental health
is in a crisis mode. We've got to fix it ourselves.
I'm Ryl, and that's stream thinking.
